Eating at this restaurant was a great experience. We were attended quickly and with courtesy. Our waitress Maira (not sure how she spells it so sorry if I butchered it!) was sweet, attentive and kind. The food! Oh my goodness the food was delicious! I had the chicken and cheese pupusas and 2 chicken tacos. Everything was fresh and delicious. The bathrooms were very clean as well as the restaurant as a whole. I will definitely be coming back!

Been going there for years. The pupusas revueltas with pork and cheese are really tasty. Prices aren't bad either. If you're going to dine in on a Friday or Saturday be ready for a little bit of a wait wait time.

I would give this place a slight good review because the food is a bit tasty. What I hate about this place is the wait we waited at the table at least 10 minutes for the waitress to clean the table and to give the menus, they were only a few people including us so why couldn't they attend us quicker. Another thing is we had to wait another 10 minutes for them just to serve our beverages. Then again food is good but half an hour to serve with a few people imagine when it's full. If I want to eat here I would order out.

Good food, they have a geat menu, and food is delucious, people there are very nice, always smells good. The restaurant is clean, Aldo bathroom is clean, but they say "free delivery" and then when you order, you will notice that the price increase in everything that you order is not just a minimun required, the cultivo (cabbagge and shredded carrots is free when you eat at the restaurant but of you want that in you delivery you have to pay for it.

Authentic el salvadorian restaurant in the heart of downtown yonkers. Have been eating here for years. Simply the best there is. The pupusa's are hot right off the grill. Fav is the Churosco. Staff is also so friendly and helpful. I hope everyone goes out and supports this local business!!

Service wasn't very good. Horchata was too sweet for my taste. I ordered a tripe soup and it was ok, personally I don't like my tripe soup with plantains. I'd say stick to the pupusas, clearly thats what they do best. Decent value for your dollar but nothing I'd come from far to go to, check it out only if youre in the neighborhood

I mostly go for the pupusas (which after great most of the time, but in admit sometimes are a miss) and fruit juices. I like any place that has chinola/parcha/passion fruit. They have other flavors, if course, as well other delicious Central American teas and drinks.

They have some really yummy Pupusas and Yucca Frita con Chicharrón but the pricing on the menu online and in person and on their takeout menu is completely different. It’s frustrating to ask for a price when they are all different.

The name caught my eye in a quick Chrome search of "pupusas near me" as I was searching for a place to satisfy a long held craving. While boasting an ample menu filled with delicious-sounding Salvadoran culinary delights I was surprised to find only a sparse selection of pupusas relegated to the appetizer section. The friendly and proficient server offered advice and I ordered a pupusa with cheese and beans and another with beans and chicharron. She brought us a large, refreshing Regia pilsner to start and the pupusas after. They came plain without garnishments of any kind other than what was kept at the table. The ingredients were wholesome and fresh but devoid of flavor and love. The beans inside were just bland beans and the chicharron was more dry-browned, unseasoned pork meat than actual chicharrón. I ate everything because I was famished, but it was a disappointment. I suggest the ownership take another name for their restaurant because far from "la pupusa loca" it was more like la pupusa aburrida (the boring pupusa).

The pupusas de chicharon are made well here. You get big portions of food for low cost. They just need to add a little more salt to their rice and beans. If that doesn't bother you it's a great spot for El Salvadorian cuisine.

Very good Salvadoran food, went during the day it was very solitary. No music was playing, walked in didn't know if to sit ourselves or wait for a hostess simce there weren't any at the front. Then someone came and told us to sit anywhere. But other than that, the pupusas were very good and the jugo de chan is to die for !

I usually do take out. The service is good . I usually order ahead and go pick up. Always a lively atmosphere. I enjoy their chicken tamal and bean and cheese pupusas. Prices are reasonable.

La Pupusa Loca is a surprise in every way, this place is the only one in Yonkers where you can rent a space for your private events, YES, FREE!! This space is inside the restaurant itself and is very enjoyable. Let's talk about customer service - speechless, phenomenal, I don't know where the owners get their staff from, the girls are unbelievably helpful. The food: 100 STARS, DELICIOUS. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because of the high volume of the music, this is a family place and as such the atmosphere should be quieter, because unlike other bars/restaurants, this is just a restaurant and it is important that diners enjoy the food and a quiet conversation.

My favorite place is the pupusa loca in terms of food because there is a lot of variety and almost everything is very delicious. But sometimes they take too long even if there are not many people. As for the rockers, I would like to see that they are more friendly and attentive because most of them are not. I think it would be good if they were more prepared in terms of "customer service"

The restaurant is very nice, very cosy, the food is delicious and the service is very good, the waitresses are very kind, the only thing that I noticed strangely is that they don't have a place in the bathroom to change the babies, I had to go out to put the bed to bed drink in the car and change the diaper... but everything else is excellent, I brought some friends and they also really liked the place and the food👍🏻
