Reviews of Mrs. Robino's Restaurant
I thought this place was nice, but could have been better. No complaints about the pizza, lemonade, or espresso. The only downsides are that there is no individual-sized pizza, no pizza-by-the-slice, and they did not have any raw brown sugar. They only had white sugar and other sweeteners. I like raw, natural sugar in my coffee, especially when I am having a good espresso or cappuccino. Some of the staff were very nice, and others were just so-so. The decor was nice and inviting. Good place overall…
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The food was excellent! Even after two days in the fridge. ;) I truly enjoyed the teramissu. It was by far the best one I've had since my tour in Germany. Definitely need to stop in and check this establishment out!
It’s a great place to go with friends and family. The restaurant is very cozy and cute, plus the service is really really nice. The food portion is huge and worth it for the price! I’m so happy I came here and will come back again.
Wonderful experience here. The pasta is homemade and fresh, and so filling! Traditional Italian marinara sauce and wonderful sausage and meatballs. The portions are large and worth the price. This was featured on diners drive ins and dives and we did not know that until we got inside the restaurant. I will definitely go back!
Oh gosh, this is a great restaurant, the service is very good, such polite people, the food is great, I even took my leftovers and ate it 2 days after that, and muah! Still tasty. Totally recommended and the prices are good.
Absolutely awesome! Great atmosphere. If I like personal service and great food, this is your place.
Never had a less than great meal from Mrs Robinson... until tonight. The red clam sauce was good, but the spaghetti was overcooked... ruined the meal...need to use a timer or stop hiring teens....
The most amazing and authentic Italian food. You have to have the in house made sangria as well as their Diablo pasta sauce. Everything about their food is good
Wow this place is awesome. Old school Italian American. The homemade pastas and raviolis are great! We are in the outdoor courtyard and it was very nice. Our server was great too, very friendly.
Well a few things parking is bad , But not the fault of restaurant. Just the town . The waitress got my soup order wrong . But gave me the best wedding soup I have ever ordered. The Italian bread they gave you And the house olive oil was delicious .All the pasta was homemade we had the spaghetti and lasagna nice size And the meatballs were great . The only I wish was different. Was the sauce. I like mine with a little more garlic . There’s was a little to sweet for me . But that’s A matter of opinion. . They are very reasonable price . And would go again . They know what they are doing . I would recommend. Great cozy place
Nice place we had sangria I didn’t like it it’s not red wine ..food was good but too much sauce for my taste
Lives up to the hype! The pasta is incredible, and the guys special was great( enough for 2 at least)but the real star of the night was the Brussels sprouts!!! Literally the best I’ve had in 10 years! Would come back just for that. The sangria was outstanding, Staff was fantastic; warm and super friendly. Would highly recommend. Those who said the atmosphere wasn’t great are just plain wrong.
This was by far THE BEST Italian food I have EVER had! Do yourself a favor and stop by. (Photo is after I ate half of my lasagna. Portions are plentiful!!)
Was really excited to go after seeing a older episode of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and the food was good, just not great. The pastina soup and Italian wedding soup and the meatballs were the highlight and were excellent, unfortunately the meat ravioli and the canniloni were mediocre at best. I know that they have a following, but I've had better Italian at other places and for less money.
Absolutely outstanding.
My wife, son and I went to celebrate my birthday on the 10ht and our anniversary on the 11th. We'd been look for a good Italian restaurant locally that is on par with those in South Philly.
We found it.
Service was excellent. The portions were enormous. We all had enough left overs for lunch and supper the following day. I cannot wait to go back!
We came here after my sister’s wedding. Service was great and portions were huge! Amazing homemade pasta. Everyone was super impressed - including my mom who lived in Italy for a year and a half.
Dish wise, if you’re a seafood/crab fan, you’ll love Lottie’s Special (penne dish pictured). The Tour of Italy was a huge hit too. (PS be prepared to bring leftovers home :).
I personally love this place. I eat here all the time. Guys special is def the go to. Although the most recent time I went we had a server named Joel. Absolutely ruined the night. We were sat before a party of 3. They received their drinks and appetizers while we were still getting neglected. Then he got sat again and at that point i gave up on all hope. After the 10th sorry i knew i was sorry one for experiencing this service. I usually go during the day and usually lottie is the server. Shes pretty awesome. Ill go back during the day.
Quaint Italian family restaurant. The staff was pleasant & the food excellent. We both had eggplant Parmesan with home made pasta & garlic bread. Was so yummy & portions were big, my wife and I definitely could’ have shared the entrée. But it was great We had leftovers for another meal at home. Yummmm!!!
Homemade pasta with an almost fast food pace! And Tuesday's they have a special menu, 2 courses for 10, 12 or 14 dollars. I've never had anything I don't like, and I've been coming here for 42 years!
Mrs. Robino's was a stop for me today and I hate being blunt but it was just okay. The atmosphere was homey. Very classic American Italian restaurant. The service was pretty good too! The food was so so. I got a few different things from the menu and wasn’t very impressed. The Pasta Fagioli Soup was under seasoned and the pasta was over cooked. As far as entrees go I had the lasagna and the Cannelloni Florentine Pasta. Again both dishes suffered from under seasoning. The Cannelloni filling was just okay, nothing impressive, and it was truly the sauce that carried the dish. The Lasagna, while huge, couldn’t really live up to its size. The ricotta filling was basic and it really was again the sauce that made the dish alright. After that with dessert mediocrity struck again. The tiramisu was too sweet and the sponge was over saturated. In essence, it was all just okay. I feel a bit badly leaving a review like this because the atmosphere was extremely homey and the service was great. Maybe I just ordered wrong.
I have been going to Mrs. Robino’s since my mother was pregnant with me :) the food is absolutely to die for. The sauce has ALWAYS been spot on since day 1 also if you’re lucky enough to have Ms. Lottie as your waitress she will take care of you like family!! She’s the most sweetest and amazing person EVER!!!! Mrs. Robino’s has been our family tradition for over 50yrs!!!!
I had my first entree of BEEF BRACIOLE tonight with a side of Spaghetti. I demolished it. Very well made and was delicious. Had a meatball and sausage with it. A glass of Makers mark and my meal was complete. EXCELLENT. Highly recommend. My favorite Italian restaurant.
Our family has frequented Mrs. Robino's for years. The food is always fresh and the staff superb. If you're itching for "from scratch" Italian cuisine, look no further. You won't be disappointed.
Was out first time at this restaurant. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. We did have a group of fifteen for a birthday celebration. Service was top notch. Our waitress made the experience enjoyable.
We absolutely love this place! It is our go to italian spot. I love the chicken parmesan and my wife loves any dish with their sauce and of course the home made pasta! The portions are more than most people can eat in a sitting! The pizza is delicious, our kids love it and we have never had a bad item off the menu!
This is a great, old town Italian restaurant that we "happened" upon (but we have since gone back,). The food is great (a lot of variety) as was our server. Be prepared to take some home as the portion sizes are huge!
Great old, family owned and operated, real Italian place. Service was a little slow because they were busy but food was great as usual. Good prices, good, atmosphere, good service. Definitely worth the trip to Wilmington
I had a wonderful birthday dinner with my parents here. The nostalgia of coming here as a kid. The food was great, portions are huge and I got my tiramisu served with a candle and sung happy birthday my parents enjoyed the cannolis, our server was great and I love the music perfect atmosphere,
Mrs. Robino's is my Favorite go-to Italian restaurant. Everything is Fresh and delicious. All of the staff is so friendly and makes you feel like a welcomed guest. It's a MUST TRY
We ate at Mrs. Robino's after a day at Winterthur. The food was absolutely delicious and our server, Lottie, was delightful! We were lucky to get a table at the last minute on New Year's Eve.
Not as good as it used to be. Took my daughter and highly disappointed after I bragged about it. Her chicken was boiled and thrown on grill. Bland. My eggplant also tasted frozen premade and was not served as I asked which was sauce on the side. Desserts were not homemade or the authentic taste we all loved.
I was from out of town and stopped by after reading the reviews. Upon walking in the door you pass the bar area and there was a huge container of home made sangria with fresh fruit on the bar. I had to try it and it was amazing, I highly recommend.
The chopped antipasto salad was perfectly dressed and delicious. The chicken parm is out of this world, cooked to perfection and not dry. The red sauce is true Italian sauce perfectly cooked just like my grandmothers. My meal was superb. The staff at the restaurant has been the same staff for years. They are so friendly and wonderful with recommendations. So much so they told me to come back the next night for the famous crab cake. I did. Let me tell you it was worth every single cent. Real crab meat, no fillers. Best crab cake I ever had. It is larger than a softball and cooked to perfection.
Don't leave Wilmington without dining here, I will be back for sure in the future!
I, my daughter, Jacki, and her boyfriend, Anthony, were craving Mrs. Robinos Spaghetti. So we went on a Thursday night and discovered they'd brought back crab night. So our order changed to include crab. First, we received our basket of bread which is a meal in itself. It's hard to not eat about 3 pieces before you can stop yourself. Then, the chopped antipasta. Others skimp on the meat and cheese but not at Robinos. Then they had crab bisque soup. It came in a bowl with lumps of white crab meat in it. Then the creamy bisque was in a small pouring pitcher, which we proceeded to pour over crab meat. The bisque was thick, not runny, and with more crab meat. It was so delicious! Sweet from crab meat and not tasting like starch. Jacki ordered naked crab in melted butter with a side of spaghetti with red gravy. She loved the crab and, as usual, the spaghetti and red gravy! Anthony couldn't resist his usual half cheese ravioli and half spaghetti in red gravy. I had to have my favorite, home made spaghetti noodles and red gravy! We brought home half of our meals with more bread. Way too much food! Now we can dig into Robinos' leftovers the next night! I've been going to Mrs. Robinos for over 50+ years and Jacki and Anthony since they were small children. Haven't found an Italian Restaurant that could beat Mrs. Robinos in those 50+ years! So why go anywhere else?!

Such a pleasant surprise! I called ahead of time to make reservations for my grandma & I. I let the woman know that my grandma has a severe seafood/shellfish allergy and when we arrived it was apparent that everyone had been notified of the allergy. We were seated immediately. Our overall experience was so warm and welcoming. My grandma felt safe (she’s very leery of being out during the pandemic). Our server was so sweet! you can tell that the pasta is freshly made. I had eggplant parmigiana with spaghetti. It was tasty! Just had to season my spaghetti to taste (a little bland, but I’ll take under seasoned food before food that’s too salty). I had plenty of leftovers. The house sangria was tasty too! My grandma indulged in her cannelloni Florentine with blush sauce. She also had lemon cake for dessert. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant and the attentive service. If you’re picky about your pasta I will admit my spaghetti wasn’t al dente, which didn’t bother me but I’m sure you could request the pasta to be prepared al dente. Besides that everything was great. Their menu is reasonably priced as well.
Their food is exceptional. Very nice portion sizes. Crabcake was very good and huge.
I substituted the spaghetti with brussel sprouts. It was a good meal and I sure didn't walk away hungry.
The restaurant setting was very nice but my manicotti was undercooked. I did get it on the Wednesday night special so I will be back to try another dish because service was great and definitely want to give it a try.
We were there with friends from work and when we finished eating, they never offered us dessert. Was so upset. We were celebrating two birthdays and so we just left.
This place is so AWESOME, My Boyfriend Surprised me and took me on Mother's Day (5/12/19) in the food was so DELICIOUS! They also made a special menu for this day as well as their regular menu, wish I could go back an order what I had that day I asked my server(who was also AWESOME)to ask if they could put this item on the regular menu, Hope they took my advice Yum! Sorry we started eating already😬 I had the Shrimp plate the sauce was made with a little of this and that but Soo Good I could drink it that's how Yummy it was, He had the Spaghetti which He Loved in so did I cuz of course I tasted his food also😋
Please Get Here ASAP!!
Wonderful family-owned restaurant - The type of experience that hasn't changed (for me) in over 50 years. The wedding soup is my absolute favorite.
Great ambience, friendly staff. People may have different taste buds, but im big on taste and texture and this place missed the marker with me. Had eggplant parmagiana with their homemade spaghetti and I was sadly disappointed - spaghetti was bland and just too much sauce. On a good note- I have to say there bread was good - warm would have been nice - and their seasoned olive oil was fantastic.
Beef Braciola, Lasagna, Spezzato and Wedding Soup are my faves here. My husband loves the Linguine with Clam Sauce.
Old school, family-owned Italian restaurant. House-made pasta, friendly staff, and a vegan menu, so you can bring everyone from your grandfather who wants meat with a side of meat to your vegetarian children and they will all have a great meal.
Warning to vegetarians: their house red sauce has beef broth and my meat-eating friends say it is amazing, but they also have one without meat that is equally delicious.
Local, family-owned, been in business for generations, makes delicious house-made dishes, and is vegetarian-friendly. What more could you ask for. Oh, you want great prices? They have those, too.
All that homemade goodness. Been coming here whenever we've an excuse for at least 15 years. The red gravy is perfectly cooked all day. Get the homemade pastas and you'll be rewarded.
Awesome service. Awesome food. Got to stop in while driving home from vacation w my family. So happy we did. The ravioli was great and so was the meatball!! Guy Fieri was right again!!
Yummy and such nice staff!! Everyone was so thoughtful and genuinely great to talk to. I got lasagna, which came in such a big portion! The house sangria did not disappoint either!! Hopefully we'll be back again soon.
If you like San Marzano tomato sauce, this isnt it. The shrimp special was a white wine butter sauce, fresh shrimp and fresh pasta. The chicken parmesan was fresh chicken and fresh pasta, but the red sauce... I imagine you like it or you dont.
Love, love their plant based menu! My friend and I had a fabulous lunch after our visit at Longwood Garden.
I used to go there years ago and decided one day to take my husband. It was absolutely amazing. The food was great, service was good, friendly waitress. We are going back for my sons birthday.
I absolutely love this restaurant. The atmosphere always reminds me of a family dinner at my grandma's house. Great food and great people make for a wonderful dinning experience
I absolutely LOVE it here! My family has been going here since my mom was a teenager! Best Italian food around with so many happy memories!
Such a great place! Mom got angel hair with bolognese sauce, Cait got the Lottie's special (penne, crab, shrimp, scallops in blush sauce), hubs got beef short rib special with mushroom risotto, I got the Guy's special (spaghetti & Ravioli topped with meatball, sausage & braciole with the best red sauce I've ever had). Hidden gem in the Little Italy section of Wilmington, Delaware. Almost an hour drive and totally worth it!!!
Visiting from the UK, and was advised to come here. Well what a surprise, what you see outside is not what you see inside, It's like walking into Dr. Who's tardis, it spreads out in front of you. Try the food they said, Four of us in the party tried different meals and sweets, and what can one say, it's well worth the journey. The staff are great, and we had several laughs with our server, who really fell over backwards to make us at home. I had the Strawberry Shortcake, oh my god to die for. Afterwards, over eaten, indigestion, and loving it. Definitely coming back.
Service was great! Everything is homemade down to their pasta. Very excellent Italian restaurant. Portions are super big and food is amazing. This restaurant was also featured on Triple D.
Homemade Ravioli, and Sangria with Tiramisu was all quite tasty. A DDD Guy Fieri recommendation well worth a visit.
Went here cause we saw on diners drive-ins and dives and it was outta this world tremendous...staff was extremely friendly and our meals did not disappoint... Thier sauce or gravy lol was to die for....I had the guys special ...homemade spaghetti and ravioli with sausage meatball and brociole and it was out of this world...Amy had cannelloni Florentine and she was in heaven...an old hometown feel and can not say enough about this place...a must go to. Thank Mrs Robinos for a truly fantastic experience and worth our hour drive from jersey.
I was so excited to have my dad's 90th party the re today . It wasn't horrible but not what I expected at all. Way to much sauce on the spaghetti especially when we said lite sauce. Didn't like the coffee at all. To many dirty plates left on table when finished. Restaurants just aren't the same since the Scamdemic.
Excellent, Excellent. Lived in Delaware most of my life and the 1st time there, service was great and the veal parm and spaghetti with meat sauce was fantastic for lunch.
Garlic crabs were amazing! Loved our waiter Jason! Aka Ben Affleck because he looks just like him. I've been coming back for years and the customer service and food is amazing! I want to give a shout out to Andrea who always greats us like family and makes our visit special.
Food was amazing and definitely a must to visit for a casual or special dinner!
What a great place! There were 7 in our group. Service, food and general atmosphere was excellent.
Great restaurant, menu is diverse and everything I've tried has been good. The service is always phenomenal and friendly.
Absolutely amazing food, very tasty I would most definitely recommend and go back again.
I have been coming here for years on and off and most food is average. What I love the most are the homemade raviolis. It seems like the tomato based sauce has gotten more bland over the years. The last time I went I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and I should've ordered my usual cheese ravioli. It's a bit disappointing that an authentic Italian restaurant doesnt have freshly grated cheese for the entrees instead they have a grated cheese shaker on the table for use. My brother ordered the crab cake platter and although the size of the cake was a good portion for around $32, it lacked any flavor. It was like a ball of crab meat tossed in a coating then fried. If this had flavor on the inside this meal alone would have me coming back often.
I've been going here for over 40 years, don't like Italian food much, but this is my FAVORITE Italian restaurant. Now its my daughter's favorite. She has to come here every birthday. Just celebrated her 35th, and the food was great, the service was great too. Had a new server named Will. He was fantastic. My wife told him it was my daughters birthday. My daughter said please don't fuss and he did not. Thanks Will! Funny enough, about 5 other people in our section alone were also celebrating their birthday.
There on a Saturday night, had reservations, which I would recommend, from out of town. I cannot recommend this restaurant more. Completely authentic, family-owned. Food and atmosphere are both amazing. Everything you would want from an Italian restaurant. Please try it if you haven't.
I like the place, but do not order white clam sauce here.
What I received was clearly a bed of pasta with a can of chopped clams dumped on top, with some parsley for garnish. No white wine, oil, or garlic that I could detect-- not even salt. The "sauce" was pasta water and canned clam water. Had to dress it up with what was on the table.
Had great pizza here, and I am happy that they have a full vegan menu (even if anything I order from that is missing something from the description-- the cheese, the vegan meatballs).
They have excellent service and the food was amazing!
Wonderful old family Italian restaurant with great food and service. One of Wilmington's best restaurants.
Enjoyable. Savory. Tasty. Filling. Busy (in a good way). Casual (in a bad way). Lovely place 5/5 :)
Awesome Italian food! The homemade pasta and red sauce are outstanding! Large portions and the prices are very reasonable.
All around great place. Food was amazing and huge portions! People were friendly and welcoming!
Love it, food is homemade and it's been like that my whole life
Fantastic food. Hallmark of Wilmington. Recommend.
Good Food and Authentic. Whether eating in or taking out; service is superb... #Takeoutpic Mrs.Lotti special 👌 & chicken parm w/ Alfredo 😋

Great Italian Restaurant food is out of this world great staff ask for Linda to Serve you and say hi to Mike at the Bar!
Amazing food, friendly staff, good ambiance. Place has it all. The go to spot for Italian comfort food.
Old school cool... traditional grandma style italian food. No complaints, ever
Very cosy and comfortable dining atmosphere. Our waitress Jordan, our waitress, was very courteous and expedient. We went between lunch and dinner, with only a few tables on our side filled, so the service was quick. We were in and out in less than an hour. I ordered the Italian wedding soup to start and it was some of the best I've ever had. Their caesar salad was crisp and fresh and the dressing was spot on. The tour of Italy is so greatly priced for the copious amount of food you receive. I took it home and will now have dinner for later. Their gravy is a family recipe and you can taste the love. Delicious meatballs! Also the owner on the way out was very kind and sweet. Will be back to try the vodka sauce next.
I have been going here all my life. I'm so bias when it comes to this place. It's a part of my life.
Food is good and has been good over the years...take out orders I'm often missing an item or something is wrong. Latest order I requested extra marinara and got none at all. The calamari appetizer is worth maybe $5 with the very small portion received.
Our family gathering place for years. ❤️
We love Lottie! 🫶
I was told this place was terrific so my husband and I along with my brother and sister-in-law went today. We all eat out often and will drive miles to try recommended establishments. Mrs Robinos did not impress us at all, we were all disappointed. We felt rushed soon as we sat down, my coat wasn’t even off and the server was standing there asking us what we wanted to drink and if we could put our appetizers order in now because he was expecting to have a busy night. The appetizers and drinks were there in under three minutes. We ordered the sampler antipasta, it was fresh and good ( thank god it ended up being the only thing I ate ). Three of us ordered pasta with meat, the dishes came out luke warm, and the taste was very average, no wow factor at all. I ordered soup and pizza. My soup was very bland and lacked seasoning. The plain cheese pizza was just terrible, probably one of the worst I have ever had. The pizza crust was definitely one of the pre-made disc that the sell in a dollar store, that resembled soggy card board. Needless to say I was not happy that we drove 45 min to end up disappointed. We will never be back !
Great family atmosphere with wonderful servers and delicious food.
The food was good and plentiful, shrimp 🍤 parmesan w/pasta.
Our server Jo-el was Amazing and recommend the tour of Italy for Dinner 🤘 …
We brought to go to celebrate my mother's birthday. We called and then jumped on 95 and when we got there everything was packed and ready. Our ride back was torture. Food was still very warm, though a couple of us stuck our meal in the microwave for a minute and it was DELICIOUS!! My only thing is that I needed more sauce. Homemade pasta just socks it up.
Absolutely amazing. My father used to go here as a kid and it was always an amazing time. Now we go there for special occasions and the food is always fantastic.
Never disappoints. Rich sauces (gravy). Good atmosphere.
Outstanding service by Ms. Brooke. Food is excellent. Will return, again and again. L. J. P.
Italian food...delicious.
Would go again if ever in the area.
The service was great and staff pleasant. The food was excellent. We ordered the pasta your way, capellini with olive oil and garlic with grilled shrimp, fantastic. Also ordered Lasagna large serving and was delicious!!!!
Love the homey feel of Mrs Robino's. The food is fabulous! I had the Cannelloni Florentine with the blush sauce and it was so good. Also enough for my lunch the next day, too!
This is a great find! It's a cute and cozy spot with great food selection. Enjoyed it thoroughly!
Excellent service. Very friendly. Bold, deep flavored marinara. Get the broccoli rabe. Clearly a Wilmington institution.
Had a nice family dinner. Service was excellent. Nice touch serving bread to the entire table as they were taking beverage orders. We ordered bruschetta and calamari for the table for as appetizers. Bruschetta was excellent calamari was just okay (chewy). Everyone enjoyed their meal.
The meat ravioli was wonderful! The fettucini alfredo with chicken was wonderful as well. The pasta noodles are home made!
This place is normally a dependable good authentic Italian meal. Tonight, though our take-out meal was speedy, our antipasta salad was barely a step above wet mush, disappointing. Everything else was great, as usual.
Very good family run restaurant. I hadn't been there in many years, so glad we went back. Delicious food and nice atmosphere. Plus good to support local.
Great restaurant. Dinner was outstanding quantity a food it's unbelievable. The hostess by far one of the best that we've had in a long long time. Would definitely go back. My wife does not like calamar but she ate all of mine say no more.
Great meal. I got the tour of Italy. ( I think that's what it's called). It was 3 meals worth of food.
Such good food! A group of us there couple weeks ago for my birthday. Ages 3 to 75. Everyone were thrilled with their meal! Crab night and few so loved that. Cheese Ravioli with meatball was delicious. Service was great and felt like visiting family!
Great experience. Attentive server. Delicious food and the portions were large, very large. Go there now, thank me later.
Had a great bowl of crab bisque. Followed by a great Veal Parmigiano entree.
Food was delicious 😋
Authentic Italian food done right!!! Friendly and informative staff! Plentiful portions at a reasonable price. Well Worth the mini road trip from the Bronx to eat at Mrs Robino's!!
Best homemade pasta and by far my favorite red sauce. My family has ate there since it opened. Gnocchi will be my last meal when that day comes.
Wonderful anniversary dinner. Went 26 years ago for first anniversary dinner and come back as often as possible, food is great, owners and servers are welcoming and fun. Worth my two hour drive.
Had a new server. Made a few mistakes. Appetizers were good. Entries were good. White clam sauce was dry. Ravioli, egg plant and house special very good. Really good bread as always was very good. Lemoncello cake was excellent.
Being half Italian I take my food very seriously. This place is amazingly delicious! Our waitress Lottie was sweet and efficient. My boyfriend had the chicken parmigiana which was crispy even under the sauce, packed with flavor. I had the cheese ravioli with marinara and a perfect meatball. There's plenty of bread to soak up that extra sauce. Can't wait to go back for other dishes. Highly recommend!
The food was amazing. Loni was an incredible waitress who made me and my family feel more than welcome and provided the best customer service. They treat you like friends coming over for dinner. The portions are huge and delicious! Do not hesitate to go here for the best Italian dinner you have ever had! No joke
Delicious Italian cusine. Great tasting chicken liver entree if you like liver. Good portions. Clean spaced-out seating. Restroom locks didn't work and some patrons didn't know to knock on a closed door before barging in.
Absolute gem of a restaurant in the heart of union st! Loved every minute of my experience there. The chicken Josephine was phenomenal as well as all of our other platters. Kudos to this lovely establishment. Thank you for the gift certificate I got that night as well! Excellent gift :)
Could use an update on the interior but the food and service is fantastic!
This is a classic neighborhood Italian restaurant in Little Italy. Along side their standard Italian fare they have an entire vegan menu featuring many of your favorite Italian classics. Being vegans we opted for the latter. They also have pizza that we have yet to try.
VEGAN. VODKA. SAUCE. So good. Thank you for having vegan options!!
Update in June 2022: tried the vegan Rigatoni Capri with vegetables and red sauce, very good! I’m not sure which I prefer now because both were great! If you are ordering this one, make sure to specify if you want the beyond meatball, one ended up in mine and I wasn’t charged but I didn’t necessarily want it either 🤣
I have gone to Mrs. Robino's since I was a child. Being of Italian decent, it's nice to feel the nostalgia of my roots. The service is great here...the gravy may leave you with some heartburn though...i always get the ravioli...timeless classic always done right!
Love Mrs. Rubino’s!
Worth a slight detour off of I-95 in Wilmington, Delaware for fine Italian. First heard of Mrs. Rubino’s on Guy Fieri’s Triple D. So we decided to try it. Been returning ever since. Welcomed by the entire staff as if we are family or regulars. Seated quickly, drink orders taken delivered just as efficiently. The basket of fresh Italian bread is savored as we wait for our orders. My wife is fond of the ravioli - mix of meat and cheese pockets topped with sweet sauce and a large meatball. My is classic brioche with a side of thick spaghetti wallowing in that wonderful sauce. The various eating rooms provide a homey atmosphere, like family, like Sunday dinner. We didn’t order dessert (too full). Maybe next time.
Love Mrs. Rubino’s
Decided to stop on a trip home on i95 (I saw them on DDD and made a note just in case we were in the area). It's a couple minutes off the highway.
Incredible braciole! Loved it as part of the "guy's special" . My wife raved about the sangria and the cannelloni florentine with blush sauce.
Worth the stop, we'll be back on a future trip through the area.
We were there Saturday the 26 th of October The food was incredible I am a Sicilian Italian it’s been very hard to find great Italian food in Delaware and this by far is a great find! Our server was fantastic she recommended things kept the drinks going really lovely woman. The only thing about the experience I would change is that the last half hour of having dinner there was A waitress with blond curly hair who kept talking about the tip she made over and over and over in front of people that were eating very unprofessional and it’s not something you want to hear while you’re eating dinner trying to have conversation she could use a little etiquette training other than that will frequent this restaurant often☺️
Wonderful food, make their own pasta, good prices. Can't beat this real food from an authentic mom and pop cultural treasure in Wilmington. Been going there about 60 years. When I visit Wilmington from CT I often eat there.
If I could give it a 10 star i would! First time there last night and wow! From calling to make reservations to coffee with the owner..the food was exquisite and the service was premier. My husband had veal spezzatta and i had cannelloni in blush sauce. OMG! Being of Italian descent I have had some so called "authentic" Italian but this was the real deal. Fresh simple ingredients in a family atmosphere! Grazia Robino's....i will return again and again! Cold manhattans please!!!
Vegan Menu options!!! Vegan Friendly is hard to find in Italian restaurants.
All vegan pasta comes with a homemade Vegan Meatball. The Cashew Vodka sauce is amazing! Also, Their Vegan Brussels Sprout appetizer is my favorite. And I can’t forget to mention that they even make their own Vegan Caesar Dressing! Def add the Vegan Bacon crumbles to the Caesar.
This menu is brand new from the summer (may not be accurate but it is brand new). Owner’s daughter is vegan (yay for us).
Only gave 4 stars because young hostess could use some training and while service can be nice, it isn’t consistent. Always double check that everything is vegan if ordering from that menu.
10/10 will go again and always recommend.
Please note: my vegan friend highly recommends the Vegan Lasagna!
Went there after a friend's viewing with 5 people. The food was good, the waiter was great. One problem. Two of us ordered lasagna. It was a good size portion. Tasted good. Main problem was ,it was barely lukewarm. We sucked it up and didn't say anything.
Great food and terrific service all at very reasonable prices. Used to come here as a child. Can't wait every time I am back in town I make an effort to have one meal at best restaurant in De.
Old school Italian restaurant. The service is exceptional. The way they interact with everyone makes you feel like you are home. The raviolli was great. The red sauce was tasty and loved eating it with the bread. Go I hope you enjoy it like I did.
The food is always very delicious. Service is great. I would go there more often but it is too far to go on a regular basis. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Mrs Robinos is amazing. I thought I knew what Italian food tasted like before, but oh no! Friendly staff, great food, portion sizes are insane and awesome prices. If your not getting full off their entrée well that is your issue.
Traditional Italian food. Food gets lost in the sauce, literally.
Vast menu, homemade pasta, large portions, tasty meatballs, delicious Italian sausage, true tradional red sauce as well as other choices, like Alfredo, vodka, blush, and garlic and oil. Friendly staff are very attentive and the chef knows how to make all the time honored sauces and pasta, not to forget the greens with garlic and oil! The bread is scrumptious. My only complaint is that my meal wasn't very hot, warm, in spots. The Italian Wedding soup was tasty, homemade, but not hot enough. The side salad was just iceberg lettuce with tomato. The dressing was very good, just wish they would have added some cucumber and black olive. Prices are very reasonable and you definitely get your money's worth. All things considered, Robino’s made my sister in laws birthday dinner a fine dining experience.
Our first time here overcame our high expectations after hearing such good things for so long. Mostly all the food is homemade and you get a nice portion..The red sauce was wonderful and even going very late, didn't even have that 'last batch' taste. So fresh! It's a smart move to add the $1.50 meatball to your entree! We will be back with more friends and family.
Wonderful lunch. Veal Parm the way it should be cooked, served with a side of homemade spaghetti. Great sauce (gravy), not too sweet but not bitter. Basket of Italian bread and butter. Waitress was very personable and quick service. I will be back!
Needed real food (not fast food) close to I95 in the Wilmington, Delaware area and found Mrs. Robino's. I had the best Italian food I have eaten in 20 years: super bread, a variety of ravioli, meatballs, sausage, and the best sautéed escarole with garlic. A super-nice waiter who was patient and helpful. Owner was present and friendly which always creates a warmer dining experience for me. I wish I lived near this place and highly recommend it. It was clean and the environment felt like I was visiting family or old friends.
They have been pretty consistently named one of the best in Delaware for the last 30 years at least with good reason. Very healthy portions. Food is delicious. There's no leaving hungry when you come here. Also its affordable. Can't go wrong if your craving Italian food.
Calamari excellent 😝homemade marinara sauce fried jalapeño 😋😋😋 …
Had our wedding reception here. Everyone was still able to social distance and enjoy amazing food. So many compliments on the meatballs and sauce. Our server Zach was amazing and went above and beyond expectations
The customer service is very good. Our waiter was a veteran employee named Tom Watson. Great service. Not to pushy. Checked in on us just the right amount of time. Knew the menu and helped us save some cash. I had chicken Josephine. Delicious. Could have used more meat. My girl got stuffed ziti. It was inedible. Horrible. Tasted like it was out of the can with massive amounts of cheap pasta. So all in all it was a good experience and the atmosphere was nice but half our food was totally non edible.
It was alright, nothing to get excited about from my experience. Food, ravioli, sauce lacked seasoning, just above room temp.
Always my favorite 😍 can't even put into to words. Must try. …
Delicious!!!!! The best home style Italian food in all of Delaware. If you want cheap junk Oliver garden Italian stay away this is not your place. This is real Italian just like grandmom made every Sunday.
My cousin took me here as a thank you. The food was great. I had chicken parm with home made pasta. We were lucky to get a parking place up front. The waiter was funny and couldn't do enough for us.
Cute little place in the heart of Wilmington. I had the Chicken Josephine and was blown away, fresh mushrooms and fresh pasta! My husband had the chicken parm Alfredo and we both had plenty leftover. Lottie is awesome and we really enjoyed chatting with her. Tiramisu was excellent and one piece was enough to share. We will 100% be back.
Love love love this old fashioned noodle shop. Every time we sit down we feel like family. The crab sauce is definitely one of my faves. It pairs nicely with the house chianti, which by itself is unremarkable, but that's part of the charm. There is sometimes a wait but they do a great job of turning over tables without making you feel rushed.
No meal is complete without the delicious cannoli.
Realized my daughter only lived 10 miles from Mrs Robino's so had to go. My late husband was from Wilmington and we would go every family visit, so it's been 4 years.. Still worth the trip.my favorite chopped salad is still on menu and bigger then I remembered.I got my all time fav Shrimp parma . there fresh pasta is so good even when your on a low carb diet ( I couldn't help myself)..
We all had left overs except for oldest daughter who just got done a 3 day hike in the Shenandoah Mountains.
My 8 year old grandson loved the calamari..
Can't wait to go again.
First time visit for us. The food was five stars. However the young lady that was our waitress could not have been more disinterested. Her opening line to us was "are you ready yet". We had no eating utensils, no water, no bread. Did not ask if wanted drinks. People all around us with different servers were having there meal and leaving before we even had our appetizer. We even cleared our own table of wine glasses so we had room for our dinner. Disgraceful.
The good stuff. The sangria was awesome I used a spoon to eat the fruit. There were four of us and we order the antipasto guiesppe , wow it was also amazing. Everyone's dinner on point. We traveled from NJ and the food and prices was well worth the trip.
One of the oldest Italian restaurants around. Homemade pasta. I can remember my dad going did the restaurant with a great big pot. And that's been some 60 years ago. It was handmade pasta back then I know it's handmade pasta today. Little Joe still makes the pasta to this day. It won't be disappointed if you love Italian food.
Wine Wednesday was a great deal without a doubt. A much older scene of people and decor. Staff was enthusiastic about the food but it was just above average. While everything was homemade I didn't get the impression a lot of care was put into the food. While the cost is worth what you get in my opinion, I got the impression that this was an old classic institution where the staff is now just going through the motions rather than try to really make things memorable.
My husband has been coming here since he was a little boy and loves it!! My husband is Italian and is pretty picky when it comes to "Italian Restaurants", that in itself says a lot.. All of the food is home made fresh and the atmosphere is always friendly.
My husband and I are from N. J. When to Mrs Robino,'s because we seen Guy Fieri the night before so we dicided to go so we both had the Ravioli it was delicious best restaurant.
We visit Mrs. Robino's every April around the time of our wedding anniversary. The staff has always been welcoming. We visited on a Thursday this year, which is Crab night w/ a special menu. We had the Brussels Sprouts & chunk crab entree from the special menu. The lump buttered crab was phenomenal. The pasta is good, though it isn't very flavorful, not even salted. The spaghetti side was ok, but it really needed garlic, salt or something to bring it up from bland. Beer menu is slim but we found choices.
Usually, we love coming here. Lately, however we've noticed that service has been extremely slow. Food is still great, and our waiter was extremely friendly...won't hold us back from coming here as much as we always have but we'd like to see a bit more speed.
Excellent Food great atmosphere
Congratulations on being featured on Food Network!!! My girlfriend and I have been going to Mrs. Robino’s since our first Valentine’s Day. Their homemade pasta is out of this world. Favorite dish is the cannelloni Florentine and the homemade ravioli with the blush sauce! That stuff’s really their specialty. But everything on their menu is amazing. Bread always fresh and made in house. Their staff make you feel comfortable. I’ve never had a dish there that I didn’t love—it has a super fresh, home cooked taste with attention to all the right details.
Whenever I talk to fellow Delawareans about good local food, this is the first place that comes up! I’ve seen a number of four stars for no stated reason or ridiculous claims with no evidence (news flash—huge doses of white flour, especially combined with alcohol, will make you restless all night once the carbs wear off!). The only downside is, it does get busy. Everyone’s favorite, you know? Union Street parking is a little better since the city restructured it to have back-in parking on the left side. I’ve never had to walk more than a block, sometimes it’s easier to park on a side street during busy times.
Was in town from NYC found this place online took a chance and glad I did. How can you not love a place that allowed you to take one of their expresso cups. And I recieved a hug from the owner.. Go you won't be disappointed!!! Oh, almost forgot the food is good as well 😋 …
Omg do good!!! The garlic bread alone was insane!! So delicious and buttery and HUGE! The crab soup was fantastic with lots of crab meat and the portions were gigantic. Would definitely go back
Old style Italian restaurant. Spaghetti is home made, thick in style and texture. The marinara sauce is heavy in taste and texture. The fried calamari was Not homemade but commercially produced. I had one of the Thursday Crab Specials, Garlic Butter Homemade Spaghetti with lump crab and slices of grilled garlic. It was good, dry, butter seeped to the bottom of plate. A good twrill took care of that ! I will come back and taste one of their red sauce pasta dishes!
It was awesome, food was the same I had 20 years ago! So good.
Great red sauce...blush is good too! Otis was a great and very helpful waiter! Good food! Love that the pasta is homemade!
Decided to go there after our grandsons football game. We hadn't been there in awhile. Hubby chose the braciole and I had a chopped antipasto. HUGE piece of braciole! And very tender and delicious! And the limoncello cake was light and tasty! We had a great server...she had a great sense of humor! Food was excellent and we will be back....old school restaurants are the best!
Had a Dr. Appointment at St. Francis so decided to order out some Mrs. Robino's. I ordered the traditional pizza with home made sauce and Mozzarella cheese, chopped antipasto salad and some long hots with with prevalone cheese and also Sangra to go. I did not check the pizza until I got home and the crust was burnt on one side. I easily was able to cut the burnt part off and the pizza was good! I certainly would order again and am thinking about doing their order were they come to certain locations that you meet them With your order!
The vegan lasagna was sinfully good. Very rich with a delicious "gravy". Would definitely go back. But not for a while. After i lose the Covid 10!
Fantastic, warm, friendly, great food and a wonderful place for a homestyle meal. Every time we visit, we are truly made to feel like family and friends. Robin, Andrea, and to all the employees who make us feel like true family, we thank you! You truly are one of a kind! Harvey and Eileen Strauss
Best homemade spaghetti and meatballs I have ever had. This little restaurant is a local treasure for great Italian food. Service is also excellent.
I'm in town and having lunch there again today and can't wait! :-)
I finally found a good reason to spend more time in Wilmington than is absolutely necessary. We stopped and had a late lunch at Mrs.Robino's and everything was fantastic. The veal and the chicken Parmesan, the cannelloni, all the pasta dishes as well as the service and the feel of genuine Italian hospitality. Mrs. Robino's is well worth the drive for the entire family, or for anyone you love or who loves exceptional Italian cuisine.
Delicious. Wonderful service for a 15 person group birthday.
Wow!!!!!!!! Amazing Chicken parmigiana alfredo just no words to describe it it’s a must eat!!!! Also love the family atmosphere in the restaurant unfortunately did not get the chance to eat in, so picked up my food with a few coworkers and took it home. Incredible food no doubt!!!!!!!!
A true original. The gravy is amazing, the sausage is fantastic, it's like your grandma's house on Sunday!
Great mom and pop Italian restaurant. They have classic, simple dishes that appeal to the masses. The staff is always being friendly, and make you feel like family (the family you like). A local favorite for Italian staples.
Very good atmosphere out of this world food
This is a fixture in Wilmington. The last time I was here I got the traditional spaghetti and meatballs with their "red gravy", the sauce simmered all day in their home made spaghetti. Other times I opt for veal parmesan and the super special is their crab cake, all white, only enough filler to hold it together and little seasoning. I like my crab sweet and pure, not drowned in Old Bay. LuvLuvLuv. Side of spaghetti to complete it. Experienced staff who have worked there for years. Call ahead and they will set tables for large parties. Warm family atmosphere.
Rushed out to go have a Tour of Italy meal that was mentioned on MSN as BEST Italian meal in Delaware! WELL...I don't think so. The terrific parts of my meal were the fresh Italian bread, Zanzibar chocolate cake, homemade meatball and truly great Italian sausage. The not so great were the cheese ravioli and meat also had NO seasoning. The red sauce also boring for same reason.
Best Italian food you will ever have. Everyone is so nice they treat you like family.
Oh my gosh!!! Fabulous food! Fresh made pasta every day! Their pasta sauce is so delicious!! I can't wait until we're in the area again! Oh, and the prices and portions are great!
Great atmosphere, Great people, ok food.
The best part of this place is the family atmosphere. I had the tortellini alfredo and it was ok. The alfredo was super sweet for some reason, which I do not like. The sangria was AMAZING,especially since we went on a 90something degree day. The pina colada tasted like heavy cream,so that was a no go for me.
My finance had the Lottie special, and he said it was like a 7/10, so it was pretty good.
Besides excellent food , awesome antipasta. I am doing a fundraiser and once my server heard what it was for, she came back with the manager and gave me 2 gift cards for it. Of course I left a very good tip but even more is that I come here twice a month sometimes 3 but now will be back more often.
Will was amazing!!! He had us laughing and giggling the whole time. The food was amazing as well!
I don't know about the other Gals in town, but Mrs Robino ain't just for any slick talking wanna be tough guy... She's got class, while still being a down to earth honey pot. She'll cost you a good dollar for a night out, but you'll pay it!!! Drinks, conversation and the ancient Italian secret of devine flavor, Mrs Robino's is where dinner is served!!! 👩🍳
Had a vegan lasagna and vegan pizza. Both were excellent! Quick, friendly service. Will definitely be returning.
They never fail to deliver the best Italian food and customer service anywhere. Our server today was Tom who was absolutely wonderful. And, they had Peroni, my favorite beer.
We have my father's 75th surprise birthday party , and everything was awesome ,great service and the food is delicious , our family has enjoyed going to the restaurant for the past 40+ years and will continue to for many years to come.
I love this place. Try the salmon dish with a side of pasta ,"unbelievable".Had the caprese stack appetizer.Never disappointed and Robin the owner is on top of her game .
My father brought home some spaghetti from this place when I was a teenager back in 88-89. He took a pot up there and had it filled. When I tell you this was the best spaghetti I'd ever had. (next to my moms of course) but the fresh pasta, the homemade sauce.. Amazing. After that when he asked me what I wanted to eat (he didn't cook) my answer was always Mrs Robinos. I've since turned my friends onto this place, my niece and my son's Mother (who's from Tampa, Fl). I took her on a date here and that's all she talked about when she went back. I've had the traditional sauce, the crab and the Fra Diablo. All were GREAT!! I've also had the veal parmigiana, also amazing. I keep wanting to try other things like the pizza, alfredo or even the crab cakes but the spaghetti is so fun good. My dad has passed on so this food has a special place in my heart as he turned me on to the food when I was young. I have a son now and when he visits from Tampa I'm bringing him here first!!
A gem. Fabulous food at reasonable prices. This is authentic Italian folks, so if you're expecting things to taste like chain restaurants it's not happening, and there's a very good reason for that. Hands down one of the best experiences ever.
Sooo..... going off of the ratings on here, I won't lie, we went in with high expectations. That being said, I think if I didn't look the place up first I'd be more impressed. When a place has such great ratings I really look forward to excellent food! It was mediocre! Service when we first walked in, took a minute to get greeted. I finally check us in under a reservation, the woman turns, grabs menus, get sidetracked by other people then starts to walk (huh!? Do we follow her? The answer is no!), she comes back & then says "come on". Get to our table for 6, only set for 5, never got the other full setup. Our WAITRESS was AMAZING!! She explained everything, specials of the day, the menu layout, what parts of the menu were specials, what it came with, etc!! She was the best part of our experience! Not that it was awful but the food was.....EEHHH! I don't think Olive Garden is great but O.G. has better food & more options. In My book this place has ok food but if You want a cute, family style restaurant that feels like You're in South Philly..... You'll probably enjoy this spot. Like I said, it's not awful, it's just not the best!
Took my grandchildren here for lunch. It was so much fun. I would have spent much more at a fast food place. They get to use table manners, learn to put napkins in their lap etc. The waitress could not have been better. It has been two weeks and they want to go again.
Two weeks ago I went here & I was so impressed with my experience!
My na-na fell outside about a block down, I was also carrying my 2 month old when this happened. As I’m from Baltimore so when we traveled to come here by her request my initial reaction was to run & get help. Leaving na-na behind. I rushed in but Joey?? The robust, young manager moved swiftly to rescue. I wish I got all the gentlemen’s names but the boys in the back + Joey all ran to na-na’s safety. With her face all busted and bruised they provide much aide in her recovery. Enough to enjoy what we came for, a nice meal over good wine and true laughter.
I had the seafood pasta over olive oil & a touch of old bay. WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. By far mouth watering, every to perfection! My waiter, Phil? Very nice Mid-aged petite man. They made us feel very welcomed! From the beautiful hostess to the family oriented birthday patrons. As I rushed in to the utility man handling business for close, even He was thoughtful of our adventure. We made it a hour before closing but given the circumstances we were allotted the ample time to readjust.
Joey doubles back close to the closing of dinner to check on us & share laughters. They shared someone in common , Na-na knew much of this place and respected its history and work ethics. That is why we came. Na-na had lasagna was not disappointed. Needless to say, wouldn’t be Italian, if she couldn’t have left over right? The portions was huge! But as a high metabolism-new mama, I inhaled my pasta (joke).
I said I would leave a review and although I am a new mother - forgetful and always on the go! I HAD to stop and make time for this even 2 weeks later leaving a very impressive remarkable moment for my memory. If I retrieved their names right then that definitely speaks volumes!!! From customer service to etiquettes. This business KNOWS what hospitality is all about!!! As I am in this business ! I can only imagine what distasteful impression this could’ve left had the experience sought anything other than I’ve mentioned. But that never was to question! Once again VERY impressive staff and experience !!! MUST GO thank you for priceless memories
Xo
I just recently ate here for a funeral reception ( haven't eaten here in years) and I was blow away by the flavor and service. Guy's special is one not to miss as well!
Always an Awesome choice...GREAT FOOD!!
Never a disappointing meal! Food is always delicious!
Always a good meal. Gnocchi's is what I get.. Great atmosphere, great food and very reasonable for a good Italian meal.
Everytime we have gone there in the past food has been delicious. It's always had great flavor and has always tasted fresh. We used to go there every year for my birthday and it's time to go again.
Always delicious food! Wait staff is always great. Attended private party this time.
Had a great dinner!! Want to acknowledge the fantastic hoatesss Zenaya. We sat close to her station and experienced her kindness, sincere generosity and caring for all patrons.
Mrs. Robinos was my grandfather's favorite restaurant so I've been coming here since I was a kid. Delicious homemade pasta, and sauces, friendly wait staff, and generous portions. I would recommend making reservations if you have a larger party, or go to visit during a busier time. Parking on street, generally we find a spot within 2 blocks. There is more parking available recently since they've added the parking spaces on Union Street.
Been coming here since I was. Kid.. never disappointed. Two for Tuesday is a great deal also... great food, great prices.
My favorite place to eat for 60 years!! I love this restaurant. The food was delicious as always. The service was perfect, again as always. A tip..if you like crabcakes, go on Thursday night. You will not be disappointed!!
Excellent food and wait staff. A family favorite!
My boyfriend and I were looking for a place with an authentic old school flair, and while Mrs. Robino's certainly fit the bill when it came to atmosphere, the food left little to be desired.
The cuisine is very much 60s/70s style, with salads made from large hunks of iceberg lettuce with a big smear of dressing dolloped on and cream sauces that seem to use Campbell's cream of mushroom as the base.
Although we enjoyed the cozy, dark atmosphere of the dining area, and thought the service was good, my boyfriend and I were both underwhelmed with the food (he got the brachiole in red sauce and I got the special of "wild" mushrooms [which were definitely the white button ones you get cheapest at the store] in the Campbell's-like cream sauce over pasta) and haven't been back since.
Things I love: if you have an Italian family, or grew up in an Italian neighborhood, you'll adore the wait staff. It's like being at Tia's or Nonna's.
That said, we have a few differences of opinion about the pasta. It's fresh and delightful... so the controversy is more around the filled pastas - the ravioli, and the cannelloni. The cheese ravioli is absolutely decent, but definitely not special. Neither is the diablo sauce. The Cannelloni Florentine with ground veal is delicious, but again, the shell is underwhelming... tasteless and still far too firm to cut without a knife.
Something an old school Italian (we're all Italian, but the patriarch) loved his the veal parm. Literally ate every scrap and raved. So that's apparently a must-have. He's very trustworthy!
We find ourselves here fairly often with friends, and we try new things every time, just to be sure. The chianti is fantastic! And again, we love the servers. So take all of this then decide for yourself. But remember, recommendations have been made!
The friendliest staff/family and the best Italian American food I've ever eaten at a restaurant. Meatballs are spectacular, and their home made it's is amazing. Have their sangria!
I Love Mrs. Robinos! Been going there for years! Best Italian food in Delaware!!
The best Italian food I have had for 50 years! The "gravy" is do durn good its almost drinkable!
Food is excellent and the sangria is out of this world good
My boyfriend and I was there about two weeks ago I had the tour of Italy it was delicious and so much very reasonable my boyfriend had lasagna he loved it our waiter was very polite and pleasant we will be having lunch there alot if you go you will enjoy great food and service enjoy
Excellent family restaurant! Food is incredible!
The place looks straight of the late 70s. The food is old style simply made American style italian food. Nothing fancy here but what you get is quality at a very affordable price. Excellent place for comfort food with family.
Always tasty. Great family restaurant. The Taste of Italy is a nice way to try a little of everything. Such nice staff. Just wish we lived closer .
A great selection of vegan items, I went with the lasagna and it was delicious. Looking forward to trying the other vegan items, especially the cesar salad and porkette sandwich.
Server was good. Food was excellent. Nice salad and delicious bread also.
Homemade pasta had a very soft texture, and the chicken parm was crispy and delicious. Lemon cake and cheesecake were ridiculously good. Don't skip dessert!
The food was delicious. The portions are very generous. It is real authentic Italian cuisine.
I have been coming to Mrs Robino s ever since 1954 and I have never had a bad meal. The sauce is thick and rich and the Pasta is always cooked perfectly. The Staff go out of their way to make sure you are completely satisfied. They are what Little Italy is all about.
Classic eatery, everything just how you expect it, Italian-American. Friendly service too.
We dined at Mrs. Robino’s last night for the first time. It was simply amazing! I wanted something that wasn’t on the menu and they whipped it up for me: chicken pesto with gnocchi! We loved the server- who was attentive, and pleasant. We will be back!
Daily specials were amazing! Mushroom ravioli made with crimini mushrooms cream sauce and asparagus and more mushrooms sorry I started eating before I remembered to post a picture. And the bruschetta trio was delicious and beautiful. Limoncello cake.
Service wasn’t great. She was super busy. Needed another server which I know is tough to get right now. Food was very good. Mrs robinos regular. Good stuff.
Very beautiful place my fiance and I have been going here for years before we knew each other and now we go as often as possible food is all old school Italian style Robin is awesome lotti is 1 of the best servers and tonight my fiance surprised me with my son and his girlfriend being there for my birthday dinner unfortunately Robin wasn't there but talk about luck Robins granddaughter Taylor was our server and she is AWESOME DID NOT MISS ANYTHING EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT.... THANK YOU TAYLOR
The atmosphere is cozy and it invokes one to envision an old time Italian establishment....they just passed their 75th anniversary.
The food is so delicious...soups, antipasti, seafood etc. Of course dessert.
Their pasta is made in house as Mrs. Robino did for many years.
The "owners" as well as "the servers" make it their place that you,
your family and friends a special evening of dining.
Check it out
Here is a real old school Italian restaurant that started with a woman cooking out of her home to feed folks during the war. She then turned it into a business and it's now a restaurant with delish food. The meatballs are to die for
Wonderful food, large portions, great prices!! Same authentic Italian flavors I've remembered since childhood (over 40 years).
They aren't kidding when they say everything is delicious. Definitely try the Lasagna!! Take home some meatballs. Prices are worth the trip.
Mrs Robino's my favourite place in he town! Best plae for quick bite and their dessert options are just amazing. I really impressed, their services are fast and friendly because the staff was very friendly. I evrytime enjoyed my time here.
Home made pasta was very good, along with very reasonable prices. Friendly and good service as well. The sauce was not to my liking, but other than that, everything was quite good.
This the only Italian restaurant that you need to visit in Wilmington. The food here is the best from the Italian Wedding soup, antipasto to any of their main courses. Do not forget the dessert's, the cannoli's cannot be beat!!
I have been going to Mrs. Robinos since I was 2 months old, so to me this is a little taste of home. Food and service is always consistently great and just the way I remember it. Like having dinner with family!
Great Food
Quick Service
No Hassle Italian restaurant
Wonderful little hidden gem in Wilmington. Homemade pasta and fresh bread. Lasagna was out of this world.
The best Chicken Parm I've had in my life! Homemade Pasta. Prices really reasonable. Service exceptional, fast, and very friendly. 10/10 experience.
Great Italian food with huge portions. Very friendly service inside the restaurant and fast take-out if you call-in orders. Be prepared to pick up call-in orders right after you call.
Awesome Italian food! The best Crab cakes anywhere! CRABS AND SPAGHETTI to die for! Either in garlic and oil or traditional red sauce (Crab sauce) All homemade pastas and gravy (sauce) True Italian old school!
Took my grandson and his girlfriend out for his birthday. Everything was delicious as usual and our waiter Thomas could not have been more accommodating . Delicious food , excellent service.
I grew up going here but havnt been in a few years. I have to admit that I think the quality has dropped a little. I went to atilios 2 weeks ago n ordered the same thing n it was better.
My in-laws were going there in their teens and they are in their 90's! That is ALL I need to say!
Our family has been patronizing this place for decades upon decades. All the sauces are scrumptious, the house greens appetizer is legendary, and the pastina soup was among my favorite things in the world when I was a kid. Olive Garden goers have no idea what they're missing.
Excellent portion sizes and quality! Would go here again for some great Italian cooking!
Food was great. Home made!! Great service, prices we're just right. Cant go wrong here.
Go here! You will not be disappointed. Best home made Italian food around. Suggest reservations as they fill all the seats nearly every night.
Wonderful Italian cuisine. Homemade pasta. Best Italian anywhere. You can't go wrong.
Mrs. Robino's is the place to visit in Wilmington for classic Italian comfort food. The red sauce gives solid meaning to the term "gravy"; generously applied, lightly seasoned but with substantial body, and unlike any factory-made jar sauce in supermarket. Be sure to consider the daily specials, and leave room for dessert!
A group from work went out together... Everyone agreed this was delicious and authentic..Nothing fancy_ but one of the BEST Italian restaurants in Wilmington
A Wilmington institution. I have been dining here for 35 years. The marinara sauce is a must. Comfy atmosphere makes this a great place to meet with friends and family.
Great, home-made pasta and sauce. Large portions at a good price. Great, personal, friendly service. 3rd generation family business
I eat here for celebrations and it is the best. It's Italian food heaven. Great service and kind employees. I'm only 10 and I love it!
Food and service is amazing i am a repeat customer and I always get the lotti special! Its out of this world!
It's always good food! On Tuesday they have great deals but it is very small portions. Still one of the best on Little Italy Wilmington.
Zach did a wonderful job of serving and the food was exceptional! I've never had such large portions at an Italian restaurant. Hope to return soon 🤗 …
Best food and friendly service!!! Felt like we were a part of the family😃. Oh and you have to try the Sangria, It's out of this world! Thanks for a great date night out. …
Over 48 yrs for me of the Best Authentic Italian food . 5 Generations of my Family have been enjoying Wilmington Delaware secret ! Fine food at ultra low price.
Very peaceful place for lunch!! Our waitress was very very nice when we jad lunch yesterday at 1pm🙂 Crab bisque soup was so yummy, had all lump crabmeat 😋 Will return again soon …
First time here. Food was delicious (We ordered the Tour of Italy, Chicken Parm Alfredo, Veal Parm & Eggplant Parm). Staff was very nice & attentive
If your a homemade pasta and tomato sauce lover this is your place. Eighty plus years in the business and five generations of service to the community.😁🍝🥖🍷 …
Delicious Italian food. Most of the time we have excellent service but the last time I ate at Mrs.Robinos food took ages to be served, our server wasnt attentive, and they had run out of quite a few things
Wilmington's classic red gravy Italian restaurant. we had takeout, and the servings were huge and delicious as always. It's a birthday tradition in our family.
Outstanding food. Staff is excellent. Our waitress is wonderful. Highly recommend
Love the food and the staff.
Been going for 40 years.
Been going there all my 45 years for handmade raviolis.
We loved it here!
Great food (homemade pasta).
Friendly staff and homey atmosphere.
You shouy try it!
The best Italian restaurant in Delaware hands down
Every meal has been delicious. A touch too much garlic on the pizza though. And the desserts tiramisu and cannolis some of the best around.
Excellent Italian American home style cooking in a casual atmosphere, wonderful service, delicious housemade sangria and large portions at very reasonable prices.
while its fine, not my first choice for italian. meals too pasty. seems they think a larger portion makes up for lack of texture. after all these years u would think they could update decor too. still crammped-even on a slow night.
Wow... Delaware! What wonderful service . Tom is an absolute professional. Eggplant parmesan and hot pepper app. Finishing off with lemonchello cake.... My favorite ... The hot pepper appetizer. Dining solo here was wonderful. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.
Absolutely the best food. Service was magnificent and the food was superb. Love this place. I will be going back.
The best crab cakes ever! 16 oz and the size of a softball. Hint if you order crabcakes do NOT get anything additional than what comes with it.
The staff was very pleasant and helpful, and the food was good. We did have a couple issues with dirty silverware on the table and a dirty coffe cup being served to us, but these issues were quickly corrected by the wait staff.
Longtime neighborhood traditional Italian restaurant. No haute cuisine here, just Italian food like mama used to make. You'll get a very good mal at a very good price.
Love. Love. Love their food. Service is always good, but I love their food, especially their lasagna and meatballs. We go at least a few times a year, usually for birthdays or other celebrations
Best authentic Italian food around, awesome prices and terrific specials....daily. Love it... you can't go wrong here if you love Italian food!
Amazing food!! Reminded me of my Great Grandma's recipes and house who was Fresh off the boat from Italy in the late 1800's!! Definitely worth going to!!
My family has been loving Mrs Robinos since the 1940's. No other restaurant has "gravy" like this. Every one is treated like family. I always feel like I'm coming home!
Went with a big group of people. Very nice looking place, great service, and my food was great. Would be 5 stars if all my family's food came out good
Robino's is my favorite Italian restaurant in Wilmington. Great gravy and live the homemade pasta. All good!
Been going here since 1969. Always great service and great food for a very reasonable price. One of my absolute all-time favorites!!!
The food was fantastic. The antipasta was delicious, the housemade spaghetti was delicious, and Lotties Special was one of the best seafood dishes I've had in a while.
Fantastic meal, service, atmosphere, & history. We will make more trips from Dover. Highly recommended.
Wonderful REAL Italian food. Homemade pasta. Family owned multi generational restaurant. The BEST.
Great homemade pasta, friendly staff, quick service.
They have the best Italian food around. The price of meals has gone up over the past year, but they are still reasonable. The staff are the best.
Excellent food and service. The best Italian restaurant in Wilmington hands down. We highly recommend!!!!
So many people have said such wonderful things about Mrs. Robino's, that I can only say that the positive comments are all true. Plan on a great meal, a take home bag and a friendly and fun loving environment.
I always have a great experience at this little Hidden Gem. I encourage everyone to try them. Chicken parmesan is the best
Excellent home made pasta, we had a killer Mothers day meal !!
Bartender was very busy but seemed miserable. Hr wait even though had reservations but did offer every guest in our party either free drink or dessert. Food was ok
I want to let people know how easy Mrs. Robino's makes it to send a gift to a local Wilmington, DE family from out of state - It is so easy from their website you can send the gift card to the recipient's email or phone -perfect way to treat a loved one out of state and help a local 3 generation business at the same time! Give the gift of Robinos!
Service lacked. Food was decent. Good atmosphere. Just not 5 stars.
Our waitress Lottie is phenomenal, amazing customer service and a lot more. Food is wonderful with great portions. Highly recommended!
Very good food wonderful waitress we came last Saturday for dinner the only badd part of dinner was a curly blond younger woman talking about her tips for half hour of our dinner walking back-and-forth very unprofessional will come back again food with traffic eill just void that waitress.

AH-MAZING Italian food!!!
The homemade pasta is not to be missed. This is old school, classic southern Italian cooking - and atmosphere - at its best.

Let me take a moment to tell you about Mrs. Robino's. First off. I love coming here. The atmosphere is laid back and family friendly and the prices are too. Please check out this amazing spot.
Tuesday night senior meal, home cook dinners at reasonable prices and Wilmington friends that we know from ears past are always dining with us.
This is a great place to eat, and also just a great place in general, this restaurant is a part of my childhood and of course so is the food served here, the food is just simple italian cuisine, nothing fancy, not bad at all, it's what I would call just right, I would reccomend the pastina soup, cup sized, with the cheese ravioli's, can't go wrong with a classic.
Everything was amazing as always .
Classic Italian dishes in an informal pub setting with historic decor. Recipes and traditions spanning seven decades.
Great food, great service!
The homemade pasta is excellent! Definitely a taste of home. Our waiter Tommy was outstanding!
Passed by this place for nearly 20 years and finally stopped in. Soon as I had my first bite I was mad I didn't stop in earlier. Great food
Great place in Wilmington. Everything on the menu is delicious and is reasonably price. Only downside is there is not a lot of parking, but thats the city.
