The restaurant itself is decorated in an appealing retro way with red chairs and chrome. It is very cute with what I felt was a fun 60s vibe. The service was not great. I ordered home fries, as there was a choice between home fries and hash browns, and the server brought me hash browns. He never refilled my coffee either. The food was adequate. It wasn't terrible, but nothing special.

What a sweet place. Service was outstanding, vibe was great. Food was super delicious. Variety was great and presentation was beautiful. Prices great too. Can’t ask for more on a slightly hungover day after an Eagles game! Yummy lox bagel and eggs Benedict!!

Lucky's is a good spot to stop for breakfast/lunch, but be sure to check their hours as they close in the early afternoon. They have plenty of options to choose from and the food comes out quickly. The food is just your standard diner fare, but there is enough to fill you up. The interior is styled after a diner of the past and the staff are very accommodating and friendly.

The food was very subpar. The sweet potato fries had no brown sugar or cinnamon on it. David H. was a very good waiter and very friendly and Goofy. The French toast wasn't the best neither was the pancakes. Will not be going to this place again

Enjoyed breakfast with dad. 1st time eating at Lucky's. Seat wasn't wiped, crumbs in seat, food and spill under table. Some booths backs could be updated, looks dirty. Waitress friendly and checked on us frequently.

Haven't been here in decades. Since it was Ranch House. My presence here is purely out of nostalgic interest. It's ok. Definitely worth stopping in for a quick bite or gathering a few old friends and catching up over some foods. All I had was sausage gravy and biscuits... Again, not much of an eater... But atmosphere, here is what you make it, like anywhere else... But it's cool.

Stayed at the Inn at Montchanin for 2 nights as a little couples get away and ended up having breakfast at Lucky’s BOTH mornings!! We are from New Jersey, the capitol of diners, and Lucky’s is literally the BEST breakfast I have ever had. Delicious and wallet friendly, if you are in the area looking for a place to eat you won’t be disappointed!

This was my first time in williamgton and I’m so glad someone recommended this place. The portions here are huge! The food is amazing! The home fries are probably my favorite from any breakfast place (hash browns too) the omelette was amazing too! The staff is so friendly and helpful and I love the atmosphere of this establishment.

It's a nice cosy, down to earth sort of place. We went there for breakfast. Had pancakes and eggs. Exactly where you want to go for the opposite of the Fast food breakfast in your car sort of situation. I'm definitely going back.

Great place with a retro design. Friendly greeting when you arrive & by waitress + when you leave too. Place is clean service was fast and food was cooked to order and served hot. Our first experience at this place today. I will not say bad at all. It was good though. I liked the food. Their menu is catchy and exciting. Every dish has the perfect portion according to its price. The first time my daughter finished all what she ordered. This coffee shop is at the best location which attracts people to come and eat here, usually busy mornings with breakfast, the only thing which saddens me is that they should look after the clean up of the floor. I mean, food is so good staff are so friendly and polite , if the floors are clean it will be up to the mark then. I like their concept of serving hot water. Do not forget to read their menu every single line. For a second I thought my pre-teen wrote it

While I only rate it 4 stars, this restaurant really has alot going for it. Me and my wife visited Lucky's for date night, to have a couple milkshakes and try and see how quick we could compete a 500 piece puzzle at the restaurant (great idea for a date night! We love it.). We picked Lucky's expecting a cool vibe and good food. We weren't at all disappointed. The vibe was late 60's early 70's with the decor and playlist to match. The employees were helpful and cheery. They even had a good attitude about our weird date night idea (I will say, be prepared to tip 30ish percent if you actually do this, it's only fair) We ordered fries and 2 shakes. The menu was typical diner with the prices to match, I dont expect a couple having difficulty keeping the tab under $30 with a good tip. They also had a healthy selection of beer and spirits. The fries were the sweet cajun type and were gone in 5 minutes flat. We really enjoyed them. The shakes were the stopping point here. To make a good shake you need icecream, whole milk and a flavored syrup of some kind. Even for vanella. These shakes tasted as if skim was used with no syrup. They weren't the worst thing in the world, but they did remind me of those shakes you can get at some gas stations. While we were disappointed with the quality of the milk shake, the rest of our evening was wonderful and Lucky's had alot to do with it Order: Black and White Shake Vanella Shake Large Fries Total:$12.75 Note: During the winter months, they close at 9pm, not 10.

Very cool diner, retro themed. Reasonable prices and good selection of your typical diner fare. Hostess wasn’t particularly friendly but server was smiling. Worth checking out if in the area vs going to a chain.

This is a really adorable diner gem along Concord Pike. The employees are fun and service is always quick! I love their menu and the quirky atmosphere of the restaurant. It has a very cozy vibe and I would recommend it for so many different options depending on your mood. It’s a great spot for families and kids but also for a cute date night. I need to know where that adorable little “couch” is from in the front because I want one at my house haha!

I absolutely love coming here. Fortunately when we come, midday midweek, it’s pretty chill. We have seen it packed with lines out the door. Fun, retro themed diner style restaurant. Sooooo good!! We ordered Lucky's from DoorDash and had it delivered to our hotel. Ketchup and coffee weren't able to be added via DoorDash so I called and they were so nice. Made sure to get two coffees and a lot of Ketchup added to the order. The food was hot (even though we took like 10 mins to get it from the front desk). The burrito, biscuits, omelet, pancakes, and coffee were all delicious. 100% recommend.

Great breakfast food coffee and service. However, I tested the lunch menu and ordered the chicken salad sandwich. I don't know what they put in it but it had a burnt orange color to the mayo which had an unfavorable flavor. I'll stick to the breakfast menu from now on.

We used to love going here for brunch. However, because of the pandemic, their beer option changed. Usually, my husband likes to enjoy a beer during brunch but now has to resort to mixed drinks. I know, it doesn't seem like a huge deal for most, but to each his own. We'll still enjoy brunch there but not as often as before.

My friend kept telling me about Lucky's. She was Superfluous about the fun food and fun menu. She was not exaggerating. The service is great and the food as well as the ability to custom make breakfast and lunch options is great. We highly recommend Lucky's. The parking is excellent. And it is at the intersection of two major highways very easy to find. I was not able to complete my review due to the terrible Google voice text engine.

I'll give it 4 stars because it definitely adds something to the neighborhood. At least 3 times over the past few years when I've had a guest in town and I've driven past Lucky's with them, they tell me they want to grab breakfast there the next day! There's something about independent, old school looking diner/coffee shops like this that people really dig! As far as the craveability of the food? Meh. No worse than other breakfast options around here but no better either.

I've been going to this restaurant ever since it was called the ranch house in the 90s. The food is much better now lol. It has a great vibe and pretty much everything is tasty. My favorite is the BLT. I go at least 2 times a month.

Lucky's is a very cute diner with good food to match. Even the menu is entertaining with funny explanations for many dishes. Many of their youthful staff are students and past students of the area. Service is always good & the smiles contagious as you are quickly served by this staff. The food is always good, varied, and hot. It's a good restaurant for the whole family.

The greeter is amazing! Made the whole experience. Was attentful and engaging. Really made us feel welcome. We are in town visiting a friend while on a business trip and decided to give this place a try. The food was good and came quickly. The menus was adorable with a wide selection for adults and children. Loved the Bloody Mary!

Funky is hard to find in Delaware. Lucky's is a little funky, not a lot, but when it's so elusive, Lucky's is a gem. The restaurant is decorated like a 1958 diner, but the menu is Philly fun, and inventive. It tickles. The food is almost always very good with reasonable diner~type prices. The atmosphere is relaxed with that tiny touch of funk. You can bring your grandchild and nobody will give you dirty looks. (You could even wear your pajamas. It's that laid back.) There is free parking in the front, on the side, and behind. Go and enjoy!

Great coffee shop with a classic feel and atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious breakfasts and regular customers! I picked this spot for an early morning business meeting that would also support a local business. My omelette was delicious, and the coffee was great. Nice mix of booths and tables and very convenient location!! Will visit again and highly recommend!!

Classic diner type setting with filling breakfast options and great home fries (I recommend you ask for peppers and onions to be added to them, but that's just my opinion!) Also, good scrapple. If you're a scrapple fan, you won't be disappointed here. COVID info: they have installed drop blinds between seating to keep dining areas separate but they chose ones that still let light pass through the restaurant to make you not feel like you're eating in a fish tank. Overall, I think they struck a balance between dining comfort and safety here. Good job to whoever was in charge of that.

Ive always heard great things about Luckys and finally tried it out went for brunch on a Saturday. There wasn’t a wait for a table so I was pleased. Bought the mimosa bucket and it was the cutest little set up. Food was delicious and came to our table very quickly. Definitely a new favorite for breakfast.

First off, I love the sarcastic comments in the menu that describe the various food options. So......went with a group of 4 for breakfast this past Saturday. Our timing was perfect as we were seated in a booth immediately. Our server, Michelle, was intimately knowledgeable of the nuances of the menu and a completely delightful, friendly person. We ordered eggs over easy with a side of scrapple, pancakes with a side of crispy bacon, cheese omelet with hash-browns and a BLT with extra bacon and a side of scrapple. I can't forget the 2 cups of coffee, one hot tea and an ice tea with no lemon or sugar. Everything came out in 5 minutes exactly as ordered. Our meals were cooked to perfection. Now you are probably asking yourself, "How hard is it to cook eggs, pancakes and make a BLT"? Surprisingly, having traveled the country and much of Europe, what is easy for some proves difficult for others. My only disappointment was the mayonnaise wasn't Hellman's. Other than that, perfection and 4 happy customers. I've been to Lucky's many times for breakfast, lunch and once for dinner and each time I left satisfied. This place gets an A+.

What a throwback surprise! We stopped here because we liked the vintage look of Lucky's from the street view. To our surprise we found updated spins on classic dishes such as SOS (creamed chipped beef) and modern selections from the kitchen as well! The wait staff is wonderfully kind and enthusiastic too! We will definitely eat here every time we are in Delaware.

Great, friendly service! Ronnie was a sweetheart! Amber very friendly and accommodating! Best of all, NOT A DAMN CHAIN RESTAURANT!!! A rarity around this major corporate-owned corridor. REAL FOOD, cooked fresh & fast & tasty! If you're looking for some down home diner cooking, COME HERE!!! They even have ALCOHOL!!! BEER, WINE & a great music selection! Wow, ALL THIS, in one place! I had an average dining experience with above average pricing. My server seemed to only have 2 tables (there were only 4 tables sat total, with another waitress) but seemed to be largely inattentive. I could see she had other things going on (marrying utensils) but you could see the entire diner from behind the counter. I tried this place since its local, non chain, so I guess the prices would reflect that. I would return, just not at my "go-to" place.

I love this place. I have been there only a few times but I will keep coming back. Saturday mid-mornings seem super busy but service was still fast and friendly, probably because I counted no fewer than a dozen people working at the time. Food.came out quickly and was fantastic. BEST HOMEFRIES... only one of two places where I didn't feel the need to drown the home fries in ketchup. Stopped in for lunch and had the best pulled pork sandwich anywhere.

This is a great place for quick, casual dining. We stopped in for lunch last week and we had a great meal. I had a Reuben Sandwich. It may have been the best I have ever had. The service was fast and the price was reasonable. I haven't been there in a while, but I will be going back there more now. In fact I am eating lunch there tomorrow. Highly recommended Lucky's.

Cool little coffee shop. Awesome atmosphere. I had the vegetarian wrap. It was good, my only suggestion in order to improve it would be to switch the wrap over to an optional spinach wrap. Also to add either spinach or kale to the wrap instead of cut up lettuce. Otherwise it was a good place to grab a bite.

I love lucky's. My boyfriend and I go there often. The service is always great, even when super busy on Sunday. Food is amazing, I've tried a few things and liked them all. The waffle and omelette are some of my favorite. And the biscuits, bacon and home fries are worth the drive.

The Best. I Have visited Luckys over 20 times over the past decade with family and friends. I have never had a bad experience, or even an average one. Every member of their staff goes above and beyond. The food is always well made, and delicious. Great classic rock, or other hits playing all the time!

9/10.... But I'm rounding up out of 5. I had the half sandwich (chicken salad) and soup with a coffee for dinner. I had to try their coffee, after all! Pros: nice, clean atmosphere (it feels just like a diner), room was good temperature, great choice of music and played at an appropriate volume, delicious food and coffee, nice staff. Cons: some menu items are a tad pricey

Excellent food and service! We come here often and always recommend it to others, best breakfast around. They recently change their menu. Most things actually got better! The sausage gravy was one of the things we really looked forward to. They changed the recipe and it is really bad now. Was amazing before, please go back! Edit to 3 May 2019. Went again and got an omlete with hash browns and a cup of sausage gravy. The service was great as always. The omelet and hash browns were very good. The sausage gravy was horrible. There was a bunch of oil or melted butter on the top of the cup. It could have filled 2 or 3 tablespoons. I asked the waitress to take it back and when she looked at it she seemed disgusted. Someone in the kitchen obviously dosent care what they are serving people. A major change is needed and soon. And yes, one side dish this bad can ruin a meal. I've mentioned this to the managers several times and still the sausage gravy remains unacceptable. I really like this place but it seems things are being rushed in the kitchen.

During the week the mornings are not nearly as crazy as on the weekend. The food is delicious and the servers deliver just the right amount of sass with their friendly banter. Pricing is fair and the selection is standard. Great diner food with a bar. Lots of parking available as well.

Food was fantastic. Been here many times - table service is always about average so no complaints. Sat at the counter last visit .. Ordered food and no one stopped to check on me the entire rest of our time there. Did not get asked how the food was or if I wanted more coffee or anything. Expressed concerns before leaving and meal was comped. Hoping next experience is better and appreciate staff accepting feedback. Will eat here again because I believe matter was resolved and brought to attention of involved server(s).

The atmosphere here is great and service is usually very friendly. In my opinion better ingredients would go a long way here (they use a lot of canned/jarred/frozen vs fresh or so it seems) but for "diner" food it hits the spot. Coffee lover? My wife and I stopped into Lucky's Coffee Shop for a quick bite. Because we were limited for time, we decodes to just have dessert. We ordered their Carrot Cake, which was "over the top". The portion was so large we had to take it home with us. This was one of the best Carrot Cakes I have tasted.

We had pork roast & pot roast with homemade mashed potatoes & gravy, with green beans. They were excellent! (Their Chx & turkey gravy are not homemade, fyi). Old Fashioned Coffee Shop that Satisfies. Counter Seating, Big coffee pots, Stainless Steel everywhere, and a simple inexpensive menu of common staple entrees like omelettes, sandwiches, burgers and pancakes. Nothing fancy, just simple good food in a clean restaurant for a good price.

Anyway, I've known about this restaurant for a long time because I pass by nearly every day, but was never curious enough to try it until today. I thought it was a cafe but upon closer inspection, it's actually more like a diner. They have a counter but you can choose a booth or table. The ambiance is casual, comfortable, and unhurried, at least during off-peak hours. They serve breakfast all day too, so yep, a diner it is! On this visit, service was actually very good. Tommy was very nice and made sure all my needs were taken care of. The eggs benedict though were only about average and seemed a rather small portion size for what this item costs. Also, unlike many diners, there wasn't any complimentary bread at Lucky's. So plus extra points for service but minus for the food itself.

Well executed food, I'm a big fan of the patty melt and Ruben. A fun sort of sassy retro diner experience that is on a major road in the talleyville area of North Wilmington. The menu doesn't have too many off the beaten path offerings. A great place for the whole family. There are cheaper options for your diner choices in Wilmington but you won't get the consistency across the menu as you will here.

Love the food at Lucky's Coffee Shop. Miss chef Rudy and his authentic Slovak dishes. Best scrapple around. I usually prefer it on a griddle, but they know how to deep fry it right, no grease, just crispy outside, soft warm center. Only downside is it's a little pricy for breakfast food, can't get out of here for less than $30-$35 for two people. Also not Diabetic friendly, substituting out high glycemic carbs, potatoes and bread for small fruit dish costs extra.

Ok...where to start? Hhhmmm let start with the staff. As soon as we walked in we were greated by a very friendly host(sorry I forget your name). My aunt, my mother and I sat down and started to look over the menu. Me personally I'm not one to be given so many options. (I take forever). Adter a minute Tracy(our waitress) walked over and asked us about drinks. We let her know about drinks and a minute or two later she came back with them. I ordered a coke with no ice and got 2! 😁 Tracy was very friendly and courteous. I know a few servers/waitresses(waiters) and it's a tough living. Tracy helped make the whole experience better. She had a great attitude and was quite knowledgeable about the menu. I highly recommend Lucky's coffee shop to anyone in the area or planning on being in the area. Keep up the fabulous work Tracy!

You can tell a lot about a kitchen by the egss Benedict. Lucky's makes a true hollandaise sauce. The Canadian bacon was not dried out. The english muffin was tenderly toasted, not a hockey puck.
