Reviews of Prost
Two of my friends recommended this restaurant, and it absolutely did not disappoint! This is delicious, authentic German fair. It is prepared to perfection. We ordered plates to share and plate of our own. We all tried eachother's dishes. Everything was fabulous! Perfectly balanced balanced flavors. Easily a local favorite! If you try it, you will like it. Also, order one of their beers. The size of these are massive. Be prepared to possibly wait for a friend to finish, but it is definitely worth the wait. The Bierocks & their take on Poutine is divine. Cannot say enough good things about the food here.
Soooooo Goooood!!!!! Super authentic, and is exactly what you’d get in Germany. Loved every thing so much, that we had to buy more to go! The service and owner are all lovely. Can’t wait to come back. They also have a cute German store upstairs where you can buy loads of different things, including the mustard that we loved while eating there.
Our first time visiting here and it was EXCELLENT! The atmosphere is great & the food was superb! There was a German beer stein holding contest going on, which added to the fun! Some of our table mates were actually people who’d lived in Germany and they gave the food and beer a great rating as well! Make sure you go when you’re hungry and thirsty!
Restaurant is located in what could be described as a strip mall built from shipping containers. The establishment was clean and nicely decorated. It was a very busy Friday evening so we had about a 30 min wait. We were seated at a communal table which was okay but I would have preferred a table for just my wife and I. It was very loud on the second floor and the table was a little low so the bench wasn’t the most comfortable seating. The servers were friendly and service was pretty quick for how busy they were. The Flammkuchen was was good as was the Jagerschnitzel and Frikadellen. I would eat here again and recommend to others.
Big surprise. Excellent German food and beer. Upstairs outdoor beer garden and German candy store. I had the Jaegersnitzel and it was really good. Restaurant part of a container business park so not easy to spot from the road. Will definitely return for food and beer both.
I got the Dusseldorf Chicken, not really sure what to expect. The meal was delicious! The waitress made some recommendations on better based on our tastes and was spot on, too! My only regret is not saving room for dessert.
Good food. I had the yeagerschbitzel. It was good. The apple strudel was good as well. The Irish cake was ok, just not my cup of tea.
There is indoor and outdoor seating, but I recommend you make reservations if you want to sit inside.
Always delicious. I order enough food for three people every time I go, but it's so delicious. I can't help myself. One of the owners is from Germany so they know what they're doing when it comes to German food and beer. If you're still social distancing, though, this might not be the place for you. The tables are community tables with benches and the staff won't think twice about seating you at a table full of strangers.
Such a fun atmosphere at Prost! The food is truly delicious, and the service was spectacular. My spouse and I had a wonderful lunch date, and loved seeing the wall of steins. We even stretched our stomachs with a little dessert.
This was our 1st time eating here for lunch. We really enjoyed the food and the service. Everyone is so pleasant and very accommodating. The potato pancakes were amazing. We ended with Apple streusal with vanilla ice cream and it was fantastic.
I'd call this restaurant a hidden gem! After following Google maps we didn't believe we were in the right place, we didn't see any signage. After asking a random stranger in the alley way, thru the car window, she confirmed it was in the complex we were behind. We seek out German cuisine at home and when we travel. We are so often disappointed, but not today! The food was delicious and beer choices vast. I was so eager to try my dinner I forgot to take pics of it, sorry!
A delicious treat! I was enthralled by this lovely place and Revolutsia in general.
The food was outstanding! I had weisswurst with curry, pomme frites, and spaetzle, and brochen, accompanied by a lovely, dry German rosé.
The beer selection is comprehensive and well selected.
Service was informed, prompt, and friendly.
Dogs are welcome, as I befriended a rascally old chihuahua.
Schnitzel and beer the next time!
Delightful!
Awesome food and wonderful experience! We tried and ate so much and remembered our time and food from many years in Germany. Thank you Emily for your incredible service!
What an experience! My siblings and I came here for lunch and we all got different dishes. The beer is strictly German and my oldest brother tried one and it was very good, although I do not recall the name of it. I got the paprika schnitzel which had a pepper sauce( hence the word "paprika") and a salad. My brother got a burger called "Der Bergermeister" which was a pork burger with apples, brie cheese, arugula, and mayonnaise. My brother said it was possibly the greatest thing he has ever eaten. He also got a peach dessert which looked amazing and it had whipped cream made in the restaurant. My sister also had a schnitzel but with a mushroom sauce and my brother had a sliced pork sandwich. Every dish had something amazing to it and I'm looking forward to going again and trying something new!
Absolut perfekt! Entlich hab ich kein heimweh mehr. This was one of the best ideas I've made in my life, seriously. I didn't know what to think at first, because of the shipping containers, but when I stepped inside, I instantly timewarped back to 80's Germany. Bierfest tables, and a stammtisch! When I go to German restaurants, I like to chat with the staff, to see how many of them speak German. Well Barbara passed the test! Vielen dank, Fränkische princess prinzessin! Extremely nice lady, and it was cool to chat in my mother's language with someone from her home region. Then I look over and see steins behind locks! They rent them out by the year.....very clever concept! Barbara introduced me to the crew, then I met the owner, Manu! Very nice people. I had the jägerschnitzel with spãtzle and red cabbage, and a giant Heffeweizen, in a boot. I'm so impressed with this place, I literally would make the 8 hour drive to just eat. Maybe I'll be in KS again soon. Thank you all at prost for taking away my heimweh! Aufwiedersehen, wir sehen uns bald wieder!
The best German restaurant I have ever had! If you like German food, don't even think twice and try this place! The service and quality was amazing!
Food here is excellent. Very cool how they converted this international shipping containers into a restaurant. The Stein wall is so cool. You can purchase a years worth of Stein usage, you will have a Stein from the owners owner's private collection assigned to you for only your use for the whole year.
Locared a bit hidden among the converted storage containers that make up the Revolutsia center on Centraal and about Grove Street you'll find a truly authentic german Cafe and biergarten. Service was exceptional and the food is out of this world. We say that but truthfully it is out of this country and not to be missed. Great selection of true german biers are on hand along with of course a good variety of soft drinks. You certainly don't want to skip dessert. 6 stars on my scale.
I've been meaning to go. I now regret not going sooner. Four of us dined together. The foods were all delicious and the pairings were perfect. The beers were solid. We tore into our foods. The service was awesome. If you like German food at all, you must treat yourselves.
Update: I've been here a number of times with friends. The food is always worth it. The beers are fresh. The service friendly and amazing.
Its in these trailers and it's very cool looking. Very good service, friendly and welcoming. Nice selection of beers, good food.
Such a fun place to enjoy some good German food and beer. Very cozy, and sometimes you’ll need to share tables if you’re a small group and it’s busy, but that’s also truly an authentic German thing also, so it’s almost like being back in Germany.
I could not settle for just one item on the menu so I got a few items so I could sample them all! While I am ashamed to say I did more than sample, because I left no bite behind and didn't take a to-go box, I could not help myself because every bite was fantastic! I was able to wash it all down with a great array of German beers (on tap!). The staff was also very pleasant and informed me about a German food store right around the corner. Do NOT hesitate or 2nd guess going here. You WILL NOT regret it!
A classic Wichita foodie hidden gem, literally and figuratively. It's kind of hard to find, but just look for the innovative two story black shipping container building then pull around back for parking, entrance is on the east side.
The specialité de la maison is the handmade SPÄTZLE noodles, a type of German egg noodle. The spätzle is especially speziell, special, spéciale!
The BEST part was the WURST! Weisswurst, knackwurst, and a tasty, spicy ghostpepperwurst. I could not stop eating it!
Finally, you must try the MICHE bread, a type of artisanal rye and barley bread actually more common in France. The only thing better than miche bread is an Army football game at Michie stadium! It is said if you had to pick one bread only for the rest of your life, it would be miche bread. It must be cooked in a wood fired oven, because the crust has such a depth of flavor. Better yet, you can get a large half-loaf at De German Markt upstairs on the way out, for a very reasonable price!
The atmosphere is warm, friendly and chatty. I arrived alone and the other patrons struck up conversations, and we had a great time joking and learning German words(a great idea for kids and families). There are swings outside too for the kids to play while the grownups Oktoberfest.
The BEER
I ordered the Göller Dunkel (yellow dark) lager, best beer I've ever tasted! There is a large variety of other biers on tap for whichever flavor you prefer.
So if you're in Wichita or just passing through, stop in at the best German restaurant in the state. The food is so delicious, the waiters and waitresses are very good, and the patrons are affable and sociable. I spent an extra hour after dinner in friendly banter, the kind you miss if you've ever been to Oktoberfest in Germany.
This place is so freaking good! It was my first time eating here and my mind was and still is blown! Oh lands, the food, the beer, the atmosphere and the staff are all super! I will definitely be coming back.
Someone was really thinking outside the box and inside the box. The food was good. People were nice.
The food was amazing! Visiting Witcita while on a road trip and stumbled upon this place via a Google search. I'm a German and grew up eating German food. I have never found a German restaurant that matches my mom and Oma's cooking...until now. We ordered a beer, 2 appetizers, 4 dishes and every single desert. The food was delicious, the German decor was beautiful and the service was phenomenal. Wish I lived closer because I'd visit this restaurant over and over again.
This German restaurant is a great addition to the Wichita foodie scene! They offer traditional German fare like jaeger schnitzel, spatzle, various wursts and bierocks.
The staff are friendly, the food is incredible and the location is beautiful. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

I really want to like the food, but German just isn't my thing apparently.
The atmosphere is not good. I went for dinner, not to be in a beer hall. It was crowded, even though there weren't that many customers. We were seated @ a table that we had to share with strangers, which made conversations awkward.
There are lots of beer options and a good number of wines as well. Prost is really more of a bar with food, and is more successful as a bar.
The waitress was annoying. She acted like she had had way too much caffeine. She spoke over us and interrupted us numerous times.
Prost was nice and clean, I can't fault them on their cleanliness. I wouldn't however recommend them for relaxed dining.
Such a unique establishment! Authentic German beer and food; absolutely delicious every time we go. Staff is always helpful and friendly, service is fast, and meals are amazing. We love coming here.
Really great German beers, and awesome food! The atmosphere is cozy and inclusive! It's always a toss up of choosing the Currywurst, or the Fried Schnitzel 🤌🏼. And don't forget to pick out a treat from Ze German Markt, before you leave! …
Delicious German food, as authentic as you can get here in the Midwest. The owners and staff put their heart and soul into the food daily. Brats are amazing, and you've gotta try the rouladen on Wednesday's!
We ate at Prost yesterday during lunch & they were very busy. Food was awesome & my Mom from Germany got to visit with the owners. Very neat experience!! They have a downstairs place to eat, patio upstairs with gigantic umbrellas & also an upstairs room. Everyone there was extremely nice & pleasant to visit with. Make this a place to visit for sure. Only problem we had was there really isn't a big sign out front that says PROST restuarant. Just notice that it is all a village with big shipping containers.
Absolutely delicious food. Friendly service. I love the Ziguener Schnitzel!! Quickly becoming one of my favorite places in Wichita.
The food and atmosphere are great! Me and my kids really enjoyed ourselves. Service was very good and the staff was helpful and nice. Will definitely have to make a trip back to try more on the menu.
We had such a good time here!!! Olivia is the best waitress! She was very kind and considerate and helped make my meal extraordinary by giving me recommendations to make it better! I can’t wait to be served by her again! Great job Olivia!
First impressions was great, was seated upstairs when we arrived. When we sat down our waiter came by and asked us if we could move down stairs due to them wanting to close the up stair section. I looked over next to us and there was a group sitting upstairs already. I thought that was an odd questions. He wanted us to sit with some other people at another table down stairs. Decided to stay put. Eventually they sat down more people upstairs. I thought they wanted to close the upstairs? It seems he didnt want to serve us cause we just 2 people.
Ordered drinks, appetizers, and main entree just fine.
Was not asked if I wanted a straw or not for my soda. I did get one and it does comre with a unique paper straw. Thought that was neat.
I ordered the pretzel. The bread it self was great, but it was salty on one section. I would ask for less salt or no salt. It was way to salty. The sauce dips were okay, but nothing exciting for my taste anyways.
My main entree was the hawaii dish. Actually surprised me. the toast with ham and melted cheese on top of the pineapple tasted reallly good!
I give 3 star due to the service at the beginner, would be a 4 star if didnt experience that. Would give it another chance.
To be honest, I don't have too much to compare with when it comes to German food, but I will say I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. I especially loved it when the waitress came out, yelled "OIY!!!! We have a birthday in the house!" Made me giggle and I raised my, recommended house brewed (light) beer in the air....I forgot the name... it was delicious and I probably could have drank 12. The food was fresh and exact to the description on the menu. I can't wait to go back and try more options!
First experience there was as a part of a large party. They did a good job with managing everything!
Food was all super delicious! We will definitely be going back again.
As an out of towner, I couldn't figure out how to get in... Leave it to me. I ended up meeting the owner's mother in the parking lot. She directed me in. As a matter of fact, the folks here are so friendly, I ended up sitting with them for lunch. The Paprika Schnitzel was excellent!
Prost has a wide selection of German beers on tap; with the appropriate glasses to match too! The food is very good, but not the best ive ever had. Their samplers are very nice, lots of styles of braats to chose from. I wish they had a variety of home made mustards, and their red cabbage could use something more. Overall very good restaurant and worth going to (go early, they fill quickly).
First time eating at Prost with a group of friends. The service was excellent and she took all the time needed to explain the food and beer (Michelle was our server). Everything came out wonderfully and was awesome. Will definitely be there again.
See my other review but a great German food and beer restaurant. Great beer diversity - the Warenheinner (really bad spelling) hefeweissen is awesome. Jagerschnitzel is very good and the cabbage is flavorful.
2/2023 update - continues to be solid and a favorite. Got a schnitzel sandwich and very tasty. We also got the apple strudel which was also dynamite!
SUPER LOVE ❤️ LOVE, ❤️ LOVE ❤️ THIS SANTUARY OF GERMAN BLISS. Having worked and lived in Germany many yrs ago, this is veritable slice of heaven for me. The service is impeccable, food beyond amazing, the owners are super delightful and last but certainly not least, they know how to properly care for 'hiefen bier'.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PRÖST. XXX
We stopped in Friday evening for dinner. The service from Michelle was great. The food was great as well. We had the Jagerschnitzel, Schnitzel Wiener Art, Currywurst, and a couple of cold German beers. Everything was very good. The menu is limited; however, covers all the German basics. The German beer menu is pretty extensive offering many options to choose from. I highly recommend stopping by.
I came here ready to love it, but only mildly liked it at best. The beer was excellent, the selection on tap was beautiful (even if there wasnt a dunkelweizen), and the bierock was delicious. There was just a real lack of authenticity to the whole vibe - from the shipping container schtick (with 4 single room toilets for the entire complex) to the super sweet (not vinegary at all) cabbage, wildly bland potatoes, and the clearly Grey Poupon mustard. Hipster waitresses were nice, but this is not a bierhaus and very little effort is made to reflect German culture.
We were on the hunt for bierrock and this place was recommended. It isn’t easy to find as it has no street signage. It is in a group of reclaimed shipping containers. The owner Manu was very sweet and took time to talk to us about her business and the “wall’ of beer steins from Germany. You can “buy” a stein for your own to use when you visit the restaurant and your stein membership gets you deals on specials throughout the year. The food is delicious, especially the brauts. The bierrock, not being truly a German food, was interesting and tasty. It is a Kansas favorite. There is outside seating when the weather is suitable. Prices were reasonable and portions were large and filling.
Prost was an experience. It is visually stunning and an interesting mix of architecture and German kitch. However, bench seating combined with the size constraint of shipping containers makes it a tight squeeze for customers. Smells and exhaust from the kitchen also linger in the loft seating. The food and service was less than amazing. As someone who doesn't LOVE German food I was hopeful that there would be a menu that would appeal to my newbie palate but no luck. It was unfamiliar and did not inspire me to reach beyond my comfort zone. The beer menu had quite a few German and German inspired beers but nothing contemporary and no cocktails. Overall, an interesting and beautiful space but not somewhere I would visit again.
Wow! That’s all I can say. Great food and drinks
We ate here on a Sunday which is a good time to go because they aren't as busy. Every bite of food just explodes in your mouth with flavor! Everything we ordered was fresh & you can hear them making it from scratch as they prepare the schnitzel! Relaxing atmosphere on a rainy Sunday! A must try in Wichita!
This German restaurant is the bomb! The service is impeccable! They had double servers helping us and they quickly served our beer and food. The owners kept checking to see how we were doing. The food is Authentic German food and the decor was authentic and complete with a coo-coo clock. The restaurant and surrounding stores were all made out of repurposed train cars -spiny was a great atmosphere. We met a fun guy named Nicholas from England that told us fun stories about tearing down the wall in Berlin and he was there. Pretty amazing trip! Great beer -mine-I can’t pronounce but it had hints of bananas and was excellent! The pretzels were great appetizers. They did have a fire pit outside and a party of 15 were sitting around it. They also have a beer sampler kit with several different beers. Go there!! Ken was our server and they were amazing!! #ict #kansas #kssmallbusiness #german #midwest #food
Simply yes, best beer in town hands down. If your looking for a place to be happy and drink well this is the place. There is very little competition in the wichita area for food and alcohol quality.
The food, the beer, the staff!!💯💪and I am of Russian/German heritage. …
Had the Jagerschnitzel dinner and an amazing Dunkel here. Great place for German foods and the atmosphere plays. Definitely recommendeven if you think you wouldn't care for it, this would be a good surprise for anyone.
Cute little place, small and crowded but nice. Live band which was very cool. Since these are converted shipping containers the bathroom is separate outside.
So this is in answer to the latest review stating that there was a commotion with a manager and some staff…I was there…there was NO commotion! I just got there and was climbing the OUTSIDE stairs heading to their German market, I only heard them discussing something. No one was raising their voices. No commotion.
Everything is delicious. Fun atmosphere. The portions are European so don't expect your dessert to weigh 2lbs. The good part is you can split an appetizer and then have and entree and dessert and not be miserable.
Fantastic restaurant. Truly a great experience for the whole family. We enjoyed some amazing schnitzel, and a boot of beer. And the kids found the hidden pickle. So much fun. This is now my favorite restaurant in wichita!
Such a fun place. Very special people staffing it. The food is so good with generous portions.
Unique atmosphere and great food. Authentic German. (Well, I don't know enough about German food to be sure, but it wasn't Americanized. But great in taste and presentation). I like the way they built the venue from shipping containers.
Had a great time. Awesome German beers, wonderful food. A unique experience in Wichita.
I wanted a Brat and they delivered!!! I had no clue this place existed. It was a bit hard to find the way that it's hidden, but definitely a German gem.
Authentic German food and drink. All their beers adhere to Reinheitsgebot!!!! Excellent and cool atmosphere
Love this place! The beer cheese was on point and the pretzels were tasty as well. The bierock was very good and I would get it again. The beers were also delicious! Love it when I can find a solid Oktoberfest beer outside if October!
Amazing German food! They make everything in house and you can tell. The sauerkraut is way better than the supermarket stuff. Definitely will be back!
Great German restaurant. Try all of the appetizers! Great German beer selection as well. Beer garden for the kids is a huge plus. This is a Wichita gem for sure.
It was pretty good. I had one of their signature dishes. It was a juicy piece of meat with a perfect sunny side egg on top. The wait staff was very swift and helpful. The prices are fair and the atmosphere feels very welcoming. The little enclosed center outside is a very nice hangout area or place to sit and chat. All around a pleasant experience.
Great options to choose from the menu with plenty of refreshing beers to try. I wasn't too impressed by the flavors of the food as some items were lacking in flavor or just neutral. But it is a solid place to get fresh German food in Wichita with polite staff!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our food was outstanding! We were seated at a long table with two other couples last Saturday night and had a wonderful time chatting with them. It was an unexpected joy! If I could say one challenge was to find it. A big sign on the outside of the building will be especially helpful to new customers. No worries for us now. We will have no issues finding it from now on! Worth the wait!
Great German beer that you can't get anywhere else and great food! The environment is very cool as well.
Not festive octoberfest
Little confusing getting started.
Three beers available and no description, view, or samples available. Given a price of $12-19 for beer very disappointed that owner won't give samples due to....tax law? Never had that type of issue before - anywhere. To his credit he came to "explain" why there could be no samples.
Effort to try and build octoberfest through german music, etc but dead. Admittedly would feel more festive if I was drinking beer. :(
Do yourself a favor and grab a Schnitzel sammy with a Warsteiner Gold and your inner German will thank you.
Atmosphere feels authentic. Beer was excellent. I do wish the spaetzle was fried in butter like we had it in Germany, but otherwise it was really good. I'm definitely going back.
If you seek authentic German, this is the place. It has the atmosphere if a German Wirtschaft. Service was excellent. Menu prices are more than reasonable.
I would give it 3 and a half stars but that isn't an option. The food schnitzel was pretty good but the cheese cake was amazing.
Delicious! I ordered Jagerschnitzel but substituted fried potatoes for the cabbage. I liked the noodles, but loved the potatoes. The schnitzel was great, especially the gravy.
It pains me to give this place 3 stars, because the food and the ambiance are fantastic, but the service I received on my first visit was not. Hostess didn't welcome us or say goodbye to us when we left. On our way out she was leaning on the stand with her head on her fist scrolling on her phone. Didn't even look up as we walked out. Waitress was nice but I could hear her telling the exact same jokes or making the same comments to every table which made the conversation seem disingenuous. After waiting over 15 minutes for our appetizers (pretzels), we asked our waitress about it and she never did tell us what happened. Our pretzels were put in before we ordered our food, we were told our pretzels were almost done when we ordered our food, and our food came out first It became very difficult to get service after that point.
For my meal I chose the Jagerschnitzel and I was not disappointed. The meal was delicious and reminded me of my days in Germany. Although I will return to try another dish, the service during my first visit made a bad first impression.
Amazing food, fantastic staff and great atmosphere. Will definately be back!
A casual but well-done German restaurant in a unique shipping container setting with a nice atrium area. Excellent food and beer. Prompt service. Authentic European desserts (not too sweet). The paprika schnitzel was wonderful, and I ordered it with the spätzel and cabbage. Perfect. I now crave this dish. Thanks for offering a perfect dinner en route back to Colorado on our epic road trip.
This was my first time. I came to eat with my 🚲 cycling tribe, The D-CAT's from Derby. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! We will be back!
Great authentic German food. I would highly recommend the plum tart any time they have it. Tastes just like they do in the motherland.
My family loves this place because it takes my mom home(or at least she says so). My mom was born in German and says this is the closest she gets to the food her grandmother made. Makes me happy. Anyways the food is super good and it's a really nicely decorated place.
I've been a happy stein club member for about a year.
I go about every 2-4 weeks. I am excited to see Prost continue to thrive.
Great atmosphere and staff. AMAZING food!! The large beer is LARGE. I would recommend eating here and I will be going back again.
Yummy German good and beer. Tried the wiener schnitzel and loved it. Server was super friendly. Will come back for sure!
Really good food just a little bit of a challenge to find the door. Wouldn't have been bad if it wasn't for the cold North wind. Would love to try the patio on a better day.
Good selection of beer. The pretzel we had for appetizer was delicious. Both our meals were very tasty. Cool building made from shipping containers. Will be back on a sunny afternoon to enjoy the area.
Nice German pub set in old railroad car's. Menu is a little limited and only a few choices of German beer.
Listen! $10 hotdog!? call me skeptical!
SOOOOO worth every cent!!!!!
IT WAS DELISIOUS!
The whole experience was fantastic! Just the fact that its made out of cargo containers warrents a trip in to visit!!! The whole little shopping center is crazy cool to walk around in when u are done!
And PS, they don't serve hot dogs.... this bad boy was DEFINITELY a delicious BRAT!
Great german food and wonderful hospitality. The store with german foods and candy was awesome. Great experience, and will definitely be back.
AMAZING food, great customer service, and wonderful atmosphere! Highly recommend!
Very good German food we had our 41st anniversary there really enjoyed it service was really good
Prost is one of my favorite spots in town. I love the uniqueness of the menu as well as the friendliness of the staff. They change their menu with the season. I go at least once a week if not more. I strongly suggest going at least once because once you go once you won't be able to stop.
Service? Great. Atmosphere? Great. Food? Subpart. Beer? Below average. I love beer, but I ordered 2 flights and they were warm. It was a hot and muggy day, and there's nothing worse than warm beer. The boot wasn't even as cold as I think it should have been. I'm not that person that likes to start issues, so I kept my mouth shut and nodded my head.
Leberkäse and Fried potatoes were great! So was the Jägerschnitzel! Loved the little store!
This place is great. Great food, beer, great disserts and great service. Go there
Awesome German food and atmosphere. Everything we ordered was delicious and they had lots of authentic beers on tap. The staff was fast (despite it being busy the night we went) and always kind. They know real, legit German food here. Definitely a must-stop.
Great German food and atmosphere. One of my favorite places in town.
Amazing vegan currywurst. I love being a vendor for first Friday's because I get to have their food!
Great food, good location, so while you wait for your name to be called
Great locally owned German restaurant. It's in the new Revolutsia complex. They even have a few vegan options! I had the vegan bratwurst and spaetzle. The place is very popular, so it may take awhile to get seated.
Wow. This place is awesome with great food, beer, and whiskey. I will return with a handler so I can try Das Boot!
The food was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the owner stopped at every table to check in and chat. Impeccable. Even the kids were impressed.
Excellent German food!
Really nice people and great food. A unique restaurant that also has a large selection of German beers in tap
10/10 great food, perfect beer portions, awesome customer service. I'll definitely be back
Great authentic German food. My server Ken was great, he made sure we had everything without being intrusive.
Love this family owned restaurant. The food and atmosphere is fantastic. Definitely get a German beer when you stop in. Great for date night and for taking the kids for a family dinner.
Food was wonderful. They have a good selection of German dishes, appetizers and desserts. Of course a great selection of German beers and wines too. Atmosphere is great, service is wonderful too (Emily our server was great). If you are looking for authentic German food give Prost a shot, you won't be disappointed.
Food was very good. I've been to Germany 4 times and it was excellent. I was taken back a bit by the sort of frat house atmosphere. It was all happy, but it was off putting. Good food Goid prices on the food.
Very, VERY friendly service that my friends and I enjoyed. Joked with customers and constantly made sure we were doing okay (even with a full house). The food is amazing (and I'm told the bier is good too, I don't drink) and not too expensive. Been there 7 times now and haven't had a bad experience. Awesome decor that really emanates a homely feeling with a jolly atmosphere. Over all, would highly recommend.
Prost is great. It can be a little noisy at times, however the food is fantastic and the beer selection is amazing.
The Schnitzel w mushroom sauce, spätßle, and red cabbage are to die for. Very authentic. They're just like my mom's. I ordered the the amazing Jagerschnitzel! Great variety of german beers!
Great experience! Had the Jaegerschnitzel mit Pommes Frittes and a Hefeweizen in the boot. A thoroughly great experience reminding me of being stationed in Germany.
I love the whole complex and the service was great. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I have to back to enjoy more food and more beer and the other areas and shops. This is a cool place to hang out reminds of a little slice of Austin,TX, cant wait to come back.
I tried the Schnitzel and my German mother had the brat and saurekraut. Both tasted good but I thought my Schnitzel was a little tough and dry. Had good flavor and the breading a little over, but something I wouldn't care about unless more than what I had.. if you want genuine German dress and hosts this is not the place but, with that said my mother approved and I enjoyed the atmosphere, I will definitely go back and enjoy more food and beer selection. Do not pass this by. Worth a visit for food, beer, relaxing, coffee, and a little shopping
Had a party of 11 for a send off dinner for my brother before he leaves for training for a new job. We had wonderful service from Ben, our waiter, and all the staff who assisted him. Drinks were flowing, and food was amazing as always. Have come several times, and am always very happy with the service. Thank you!
Great German restaurant to go to. The black forest cake is amazing and the snitzel sandwich is amazing. The after dinner shot is a must try for the experience(not a lot of people like this shot) we always get the shot when we bring new people with us.
My boyfriend is from Germany and said this is the closest to being in Germany he's gotten in the states. Has one of our favorite beers here too. High qualify food and atmosphere with friendly staff
Great food, great staff!! Highly recommend this place!!
Really cute beer pub. A wall full on steins stored for regular customers. Friendly team and a great German retail store. Kind of a tough place to be gluten and dairy free, but the server was helpful in picking menu items that worked. My German friends enjoyed the schnitzel, pretzel, red cabbage, and desserts immensely.
Completely loved this place and the atmosphere! Our server was so nice and the food was awesome! I definitely recommend this place to any who wants German food!
This place is amazing. Good beers on tap and great food. Felt like being back in Germany again.
First time there and I loved it !! Will for sure go back. The food was great and I was told so was the beer lol. If you've never Been its a cool place to check out .
Great waitstaff and tasty food. We met up here for lunch on a Saturday (eight of us) and enjoyed the meal. They have vegetarian and vegan options which were tasty as well. We have a vegetarian and a family member that doesn't eat pork and both were able to enjoy their meals without compromise. Great beers too!
Really great food! Flavorful yet simple. They have friendly staff and if you are wondering about the steins on the wall then so you know it’s a subscription that gets you a stein. Went in the summer. Place was pretty warm.
Delicious food, wonderful people, chill environment; just a great little spot all around! They treated my brother in law right for his b-day, hehehe 🤣! Do yourself a favor, and check this place out. Do yourself another favor- grow yourself a righteous handlebar mustache and watch your life improve tenfold. You're welcome 😉
The food was fantastic and the staff made me feel like I was family. And I don't mean that uncomfortable way the in-laws make me feel like family. I mean family like I was wanted and belong. Austin educated me on beers and the Reinheitsgebot of 1516. I honestly think I want to go back a couple of times a week so I can work my way through their entire menu and their beer list. I know I'm going to become a member of their Stein Club very soon.
Prost meine Freundes!
Nice place... good food... not spicy at all.. cheap $ 8-12
German food is hard to find in Kansas. On tap choices are great and food reminds me of when I was stationed in Germany early 70s. Prost is one of my favorite Wichita restaurants.
A German food restaurant so they have a large selection of beers. They have some vegan selections and the food is good, but will obviously taste a bit different due to the difference in cooking style from American foods. I will be returning to try more.
What a fun place. The food here is off the chain. So good. I had a brat with kraut and potato salad. What was really fun was the atmosphere. The restaurant is inside a multi level multi environment cargo container building. I imagine the only way to not make a friend in this place is if you go alone and when no one is there. The staff was so bubbly and attentive. Will definitly be back next time I am in town.
Good food and beer, but not the best authentic German food I've ever had.
Service was great. Definitely worth trying if you are looking for German food.
Ate at Prost for lunch today and had a wonderful experience. The food was amazing, the beer was fantastic, but best of all was our waitress. Emily was wonderful with suggestions, and was very attentive our whole stay. She was so patience with us as we took forever to decide out beer and food selection. Whatever she gets paid, it isn’t enough!!
We loved the real German food and friendly staff! We will be there for oktoberfest
Great place and fun atmosphere. I went in with a friend and had a beer and bratwurst. Food and beer was great and the staff was very friendly.
Forgot to get picture of the food but it was all delicious. Desert apfelstrudel with ice cream & schokokus torte. Love this spot.
Delicious, authentic German food!
Excellent atmosphere and great authentic German food and beer! Excellent staff! Highly recommended! Also, there is a store above with German food products! Very excellent! The most I have seen anywhere, even beats most Commissaries and even World Market in the product selection. If you want German products, this is the place to go!
Great place to spend time with family and friends. Good food and a good selection of 🍺🍺Beer 🍺
Family friendly with kid's menu …
Awesome authentic place for German food and beer. Love this place! I was stationed in Germany for 4 years while in the Air Force and this is the closest to real German food! I love it here. Great people and atmosphere. Definitely will keep coming back!
Cool place to try out. Food is Authentic German food. Plenty of beer on tap. Friendly staff and a great owners. I like my sauerkraut... Sponcers of the Wichita Thunder and have tickets to share sometimes.. Win Win!!! Thanks we will see you again soon.
Love the pretzels and the bratwurst. The staff is always friendly and open to making suggestions. I like to finish with the black forest cake.
The food here was fabulous! The beers were huge. I wish I could tell you what I had but I don't know how to say it. It was a sausage in red sauce they was so amazing. The music was fun and our server kept dancing to it. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Plus the fact that this was in shipping containers was pretty cool. Lived the industrial vibe.
This is a perfect place for authentic German food and beer! The market upstairs is an absolute bonus with all types of Bavarian goodies.
Prior to eating at Prost I had never had German food before and I wasn't sure if I would like it. We ordered a variety of dishes to try and everything was delicious, I can't wait to go back.
Food was delicious and amazing. The wait staff was very helpful on describing the german dishes and diffrent beers. Thank you Ian for your help. Highly recommend the experience and last, but not least ask for Ian as your server!
I had the andouille bratwurst and it was very good with just the right amount of spice. They also have a big selection of German beers to try. The service was great and we got our food quickly. I've tried the vegan currywurst too and that was delicious.
I've really enjoyed the times that I've eaten at Prost. Great food, great German beers by the liter, and seating that makes you just about feel that you are out sitting in a Biergarten!
My favorite restaurant that I have ever been to! Always consistently the best food!!! I call the Zigeuner Schnitzel with spaetzle my “death row meal” because I could die happy with that as my last meal! The owners are great people!
A must visit whenever you're in Wichita. The food is excellent, the service is top notch, and the price is great. The pork belly is outstanding!
Finally got to try it out. Great location, it's absolutely beautiful inside and outside. A wonderful place for a special dinner or just any meal! Awesome beer options, of course. The food was excellent. Definitely going to be popular in Wichita, as it feels like a "meat and potatoes" kind of place which is welcoming to people who wouldn't be normally for trying other cuisines. Everything was delicious, I ordered the schnitzel (yum) and I got to try a few bites of the other person's meal, it was all awesome. I've had their brats before, they are super delicious!
Definitely will be back and highly recommend it if you're out and about in Wichita, and looking for not only a meal but a whole experience!
Stopped by Prost while visiting the art museum in Wichita. A little hard to find but the food was great. Closest to German/Austrian food we have had in the US. Plus, the staff were great. Will try to come back for sure!
Overall a nice experience. They have an authentic German beer selection that you can not get anywhere else around here. I am not the biggest fan of German food but it was good. Service was a little slow but it was a busy Friday night. We also had to share a table which is not so bad however they were wobble so anytime someone on the bench moves so do you. There are tables that are not sharing inside so I would probably do that option next time or hopefully they will add some regular non sharing tables and chairs to their lovely patio.
We could not wait for pröst to open!! Mind you we've German in the family, have visited Germany a few times and thoroughly enjoy the food... the atmosphere is very modern, being a amalgamation of shipping containers... but still comfortable and accessible. The food was delicious. Four of us ordered separately, but we sampled each other's dishes. Everything was spot on. On top of that, the prices on the food were great. We left satiated. If you have to wait for a bit, there are shops immediately nearby to explore. The fire pit outside was a comfort with the brisk air we had! We will definitely be back!
Prost is located in a business complex made out of shipping containers. It's not overly obvious where it's at within the area. Even with that it's a neat area and there is even a decent amount of outside seating on the upper level with shade if you want fresh air. I've tried a few different items from the menu and everything tastes great. The owners of Prost also have a German market next door. Most visits here have been great though the last time the waitress was rather inattentive. Even with the one bad experience I'll still definitely go back.
This is a great little restaurant that's built into a steel shipping container. Not much to look at from the outside but nice on the inside. I'm not a fan of having to go outside to go one container over to go to the restroom. That being said the restrooms are nice and well maintained. Overall I liked the feel of the place and the food was on point. My buddy said the Weiner schnitzel was a bit tough but I thought it was fine. The curry wurst was great. My wife loved the beer. Anyway, give it a shot of your looking for German food.
I used to live in Germany, and was looking forward to eating authentic German food and drinking beer! Well, this restaurant did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the beer great. Thank you for bringing back so many wonderful memories of my childhood.
Prost is great! Consistently good food and service, and Revolutsia is so much fun.
This was our first time there and the food and service was great! My mom and dad love German food. Since they were visiting for Christmas, we thought we'd give it a try.
Awesome atmosphere and really good German food. Check out the market upstairs
Very good German food and their store is great too, this place is one of the best places to eat in Wichita, the service is always excellent too. The only thing that could use improvement is the parking situation, otherwise it's great. The storage container building is pretty cool also.
Great place! The schnitzel sandwich was awesome!
Always great German food and German bier. Seating outside and inside is also
German style. The owners and staff are very nice. I recommend the Jägerschnitzel with Spätzle. Save room for desert and try the Schwarzwalder Kirsch Torte. Yum!
Amazing! Can't wait to go back.
Not a bad experience but the community seating was odd. The food was good but not many options if you are a picky eater
We were visiting from out of town and went to Prost to enjoy a German lunch, the menu posted on their website looked so good.
When we arrived- it took a minute, because we had to figure out that the parking was around the back, although Google Maps did not indicate this- their outdoor seating was set up for Ocktoberfest, with a limited menu of brats, fries, pretzels and beer. When I asked why Ocktoberfest wasn't on the website, the waitress said ,"It's all over social media." And once more I asked why it wasn't on the website, and once again she replied with the social media comment.
We enjoyed their offerings. Later on, we found out that the brats offered were made in Tulsa, OK and that place will be our next destination for these delicious brats, since we are from Oklahoma.
Worth checking out. Awesome place and great food.
My husband and I loved our date night here! It truly felt like we went back to Munich! The staff was super helpful and had wonderful advice on the beer selection. We enjoyed the bratwurst platter and the jagerschnitzel! I highly recommend dining here! When you are finished you must take a trip upstairs to the German market!!
The food was good. I don't like how they don't put the prices on the beer menu nor have a description of what the beer was besides the name. BTW it's $7 for a half liter and $14 for a liter. Service was decent. The server didn't give us all our checks at once. He would bring one or two at a time and then take them back. It felt disjointed. The atmosphere was very cool!
Enjoy my food every time. We have always had friendly helpful staff. The food is so good. I'm always ready to go back! The Jager Schnitzel is my favorite meal there! Flamkuchen is my favorite app. Prost never disappoints
Not the best German food I've had, but there aren't a lot of other options (or any) in Wichita for German food. It was pretty good. We tried one of their schnitzels (the one with tomato sauce) and the bratwurst sampler and one other item that I don't recall. I thought the tomato sauce with the schnitzel was a bit lacking in flavor.
If you looking for great Authentic German food look no further than Prost. After being stationed in Germany for four years I can absolutely say that this is the real deal the staff is very friendly food is amazing and the beer is the best. They even have a German Markt where you still get the same great customer service we will definitely be returning many more times whenever we are in the Wichita area. My wife who is German agree that this place reminds her of all the good from her home country. Herzlich Wilkommen
The appetizers (we shared all of them) were great, assorted meals very good taste and were well presented with moderate proportions. Our service at a large table was excellent. The interior design was cozy. Loved the decor and concept of the beer steins in lockers. Beer, a Paulaen, was flavorful. Best to get there early around 5 pm. Finding parking is tricky. Would go back.
Good place for an inexpensive meal. While the breading on my Jaeger Schnitzel was over cooked and overly seasoned, the pork was tender and delicious. The real stars of the show were the cucumber salad with its tender greens and tasty dressing and the awesome red cabbage.
I have been in 3 times since they opened and all 3 times I was blown away by the quality of the food. Make sure to check their website as their kitchen closes during the afternoon during the week. For dinner, plan on arriving relatively early (as close to 5pm as possible) to avoid long wait times and to ensure that you get to eat what you want (they have been so popular that they've consistently sold out of their food). Seating is all benches so you'll most likely make new friends while you eat. Great food, great beer in a unique space. Prost has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Wichita!
If you want quality food and beer, here ya go. I’m not much a pork person myself, but this place makes some good food.
Went there the other day for lunch, after a long awaited completion and opening! I was not disappointed, service was quick. When I go to a German restaurant I always order the bierock first, this being because I make them myself and realize the time and effort going into them...if they're handled with care then I know the rest of the food will be just as amazing my next trip. Alas, after tasting many failed attempts I found a restaurant's that rivals my own. The dough is soft and buttery, the filling is the proper amount of meat, onion, and cabbage ratio and seasoned to perfection! Can't wait to return!
So much fun. Good German food.
The food was good and the atmosphere was fun. The pretzel was a nice surprise. It was much tastier than what you'd expect for a soft pretzel, and the dip that comes with it was great. The house salad was one of my favorite things we got. Some of the menu wasn't accurate; I'm disappointed there's no longer Sauerbraten or poached pears. The missing star is because there was black stuff on the inside of my child's cup that we didn't see until it was empty and the lid was removed. Overall it's a good place, and we'll be back.
Great place to eat, the food is top notch. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the food. A must go place!
We scheduled in advance for a very large group (we were upstairs) and service was well prepared! Parking for this venue (Revolutsia) is a bit tricky, but don't let that minor issue deter your visit. Food was amazing! Everyone in the group ordered something from the menu (even the youngsters) and there were clean plates all around. Meal portions were just right and entrees priced very reasonably. I need to go back and try dessert 🇩🇪 Maybe I'll get it to go and sit by the fire pit with friends 🔥
I was rapturous to learn that the area finally had a German restaurant. I lived in Germany for three years and just loved the food (among many other things too). So we went right down there and I ordered a jagerschnitzel, one of the Seven Perfect Foods.
Drat.
The cutlet was pounded thin to near transparency. As a result the breading dominated the flavor. The breading was most of each bite in fact. It was also fried dark and rigid, almost like it had been deep fried too long and too hot. It had a slight singed flavor too. The gravy was closer but rather skimpy and also very dark with a faintly singed flavor. All in all a letdown.
The spatzle was ok if a bit dry. The pommes frites were just your average cheap commercial fries.
The music system was playing beer-drinking music but it was too loud, made it hard to converse. That made the whole dining room very noisy.
The seats were awful. And there are no rest rooms, when we asked we were directed to go across a courtyard to another store.
The staff was excellent. But that didn't make up for the disappointing culinary experience. I doubt if I'll return.
Such a cool place. Food is excellent; you can tell they have pride in what they put out. My only critique is that the bench seating is a bit uncomfortable but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. I’ve only ever had awesome experiences here.
Careful going right after beerfest. They were out of a lot of key items. Regardless, the staff were excellent and gave perfect alternative recommendations. Great beer, amazing food. 5/5. Keep it going
Amazing authentic German cuisine and awesome service to boot. Prices were extremely reasonable and the food portions were huge. I was so excited I ate my entree before I could get a picture of it. It brought back memories of when I was a small child living in Hielbron Germany .
I have been waiting for a German restaurant for ever. Use to visit one on Broadway while in High School in the late 70's. Our German class ate there.
Love the container concept and Prost is fabulous. Not a big beer fan but the Steins locked up on the wall is so cool.
Food was off the hook.
Homemade carrot cake sooooo good. We will be back
It was our first time in. Love the environment as we where sat upstairs. Got to know the people that sat with us verry friendly people. Enjoyed good food can I say that again; enjoyed good food. Server was on top of our questions from food to beer. All in all a good fun experience, and yes, we will be back!
This place is fantastic! Food is authentic, decent portions, and great atmosphere. I ordered the jaegerschnitzel - the gravy is super delicious. Meal was $13. The staff is very helpful and there is a cool German market upstairs. Only downfall is this restaurant is in a container center called Revolutsia. Parking is difficult and very limited. Plus bathrooms are not in the restaurant and are located in a common space. If you visit in the winter they can be quite cold!
A breath of fresh air! After living in Germany for a few years I grew accustomed to great food and beer, Prost has the authentic taste with superior service. Only rating it 5 stars because 10 is not an option.
We had lunch this weekend, everything was great. there was a little wait to be seated. But worth it. Great selection of beers and the Jagerschnitzel is going to be my favorite here. If I find something I like, I stick to it. Can't wait to experience this place again.
First visit and plan to return soon. Love the idea of the stein lockers. Food is very good and shared tables are a good way to meet others. This place is not for rude trolls who want to be left alone. Owner around to talk to tables. Next time I plan to sample the beers.
My boyfriend and I went together and we both absolutely loved our meals. Very delicious! He got the bierock and I got the schnitzel sandwich.
We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of this restaurant. The only reason it didn't get five stars was because my father, who is older, doesn't walk well, and uses a rolling walker, found it very difficult to access this restaurant. There is limited first floor, handicapped seating (in all fairness we arrived early and they were able to accommodate us fairly quickly) so plan to arrive early, call ahead, or to wait. My husband and I will definitely be back...my parents, probably not.
I was a fan of this lady back when she ran her food truck around Wichita, and now that they have their own restaurant, I can't wait to make this a regular stop. The food is delicious and unique (love the curry weisswurst!), the atmosphere is fun, and the service is always on point! My only (small) complaint is that the portions are a tad undersized, so I recommend getting an appetizer. Still, this is definitely a top destination to try!
Prost is the best German food I’ve had in Wichita. They have an extensive beer menu and the food menu is very affordable. We started our meal with the Bratwurst Teller (assorted sausages) and the sausages were amazing, For our main entrée we ordered Jager schnitzel and Bierock. Both meals were large sized portions and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like German food, beer or both.
Courteous and helpful staff. Very tasty food. And a very good German type beer. Suggested by my waiter. Rustic type bench seating.
I love German food and Prost makes me love it more. I normally eat a few bites of German red cabbage, but I was licking my plate here because it was so good. The Spaetzle was the best I've ever had. Al dente and well seasoned. The Jager schnitzel was not just large, but well seasoned with a crunchy breading, and moist and fork tender.
This place never disappoints. From the time you walk in the door until you leave. I’ve never had an inconsistent experience in food either. Always cooked well. Fresh. Great beer choices. The community seating is fun.
Unlike any place I've had in Wichita. A fun and unique experience for sure! The food was very good also!
Ist.time here and it was amazing, my husband has been here a.few times with work associates and we had so much fun walking around and trying the German food and beers..would recommend for fun evening and experience 😀
We enjoyed dinner at Prost, they have very good authentic German food. My husband had the Jagerschnitzel, breaded pork cutlet with gravy and I enjoyed the bierock with German potato salad. Unique shipping container atmosphere with outside upper deck too.
If you're unfamiliar with German foods the menu is very easy to navigate and they have explanations of what everything is somewhere within it. My only complaint is that even though we arrived as the clock turned 9, one hour before close, we were told we could only order appetizers and a few sides which was not mentioned anywhere on the website.
That being said everything we ate was delicious and we will be back to try more!
Went for the first time the other day. Our server Josh was incredible. Very knowledgeable about their beer and food. Give that guy a raise! The Schnitzle (sp?) was amazing. If you want a nice change of food, give this place a shot. Great food, great service, cool atmosphere.
If you like German food, this place is amazing. If you've never had German food, you need to try it. We love the food, the service and the atmosphere. We'll be frequent customers for sure.
Incredibly fun environment. Management is very involved in making the experience enjoyable for all. Witnessed a stine-holding contest I would recommend going sometime on the last Saturday of the month. Lots of fun!
They say they are open until 3:00 PM on Sunday. We arrive at 2:15 PM. And were told the kitchen was closed. Bummer. I was looking forward to a German Restaurant in Wichita. I will try to be early next time. I hope I can give them 5 stars.
So we went back when Prost was open. The decore was great. The service was absolutely awesome! The food was good and the beer was spot on. I would be a regular if it was west side.
I really would give 3.5 stars but just can't give 4...so I rate it a 3. The pretzel appetizer was good, as was the Flammkuchen. I ordered the schnitzel and subbed german potato salad for the fries. The potato salad was cold (should've been warm) and the schnitzel was pretty good but again, food temp was an issue as it was barely warm. Disappointing, lost one star for each dish being served at the wrong temp. Our table ordered dessert as well, both desserts ordered at our table were quite delicious. I will try again and I really hope our food experience improves as this storage container concept is terrific
Great German food, beer and atmosphere
Love the beer! Best German experience you can get in Kansas.
This place is OUTSTANDING! Great food, TOP NOTCH beer and the people are SUPER friendly! I'm kicking myself in the hind end for not checking this place out sooner. Shout out to bartender Lori, her beer recommendations were spot on!
You want the quiet little table to whisper sweet nothings in your dates ear, go else where. You want some place that is alive and fun, with people laughing, staff that is friendly, (our waitress was Jessica, great service), from the ladies at the front door, to the bartender, to the manager passing out T shirts, (stein holding ironman completion tonight), everybody was great. Did I mention Jessica. And they have excellent food, surprise, it's German food, with German beer. What a concept, who would have known, at a German restaurant. Then you get the bill.........It's very affordable, just under $70.00 for two, that includes the beer, food, and a nice tip for Jessica, remember, I told you about her.
Delicious meals, an exotic selection of beers, alongside amazing service there's nothing to dislike here.
Best German food outside of Germany
Good service. Grreat food. Most importantly great beer. Only reason not 5 stars is it was first visit. Any play has to be consistent to earn 5. I will definitely go back and give them the chance for me to make it t stars.
I had the knackwurst with pommes. Everything tasted fantastic, the sauerkraut was tamed perfectly and the mustard and fries were phenomenal. Our server was very gracious and took the time to answer all of our questions. I hope to get my Stein reserved in the very near future. I'll have to return to try more of the wursts.
Five Star on food and waitresses. Four Star on location not totally being done yet(has only been open for a couple of months though), sidewalks along street, limited parking, entrance a little confusing, (signage). Upstairs a little tough climb for older folks. The storage container building is a neat idea. I like the shared restrooms between the businesses.
This place is such a gem! I love its fun location in Revolutia and have dined here many times with my coworkers over lunch. I've never been to Germany, or been an avid fan of German food but I find myself CRAVING this place! My go-to is always the bratwurst meal, but you truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
My friends and I all shared some of what we ordered (we have a group that gets together once a month to try different restaurants), and everything tasted amazing!! This was one of our favorite places we have been. Customer service was great! I had a Bierock with red cabbage (I'm not usually a fan of cabbage, but this was really good), potato salad and a piece of Black Forrest cake for dessert. The cake was soo good! I loved my meal so much, I went back for a second a week later on my own. Soo soo good!
Little tough to find the front door. But don't let that scare you away! This place is very very cool! Reused storage containers, very different from regular restaurant chains. Good selection of German beer and delicious German food! Prost!
Really enjoyed trying Prost. Being German and familiar with German cuisine, I was excited to try it. The food was very good, atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly.
The food was alright but overpriced!
Very good, nice menue, recommend place to eat. Great service. Just plain fun.
A fun experience. Went on a Summer Friday evening at 7:30. It wasn't very busy. We had to wait maybe 5-10 minutes, which was under what we'd been quoted. We got to sit outside, which was good because the weather was pleasant, and we had 2 young kids with us.
AMBIANCE: Long tables with bench seating. We expected we could've shared the table with another 4-person party, but it just wasn't that busy that day. Staff was friendly and prompt. Big fans outdoors, which probably helped with the flies. I'm glad we sat outside, where we get to see the street and the Revolutsia inner court and it feels more open. Inside seemed loud and crowded. Next time we will watch for good weather and request outside seating.
FOOD: The menu is relatively short. The food was good in a German-comfort-food kind of way. Comforting, but definitely nothing stellar. The portions were reasonable. The Flamkuchen was very good. The cold cuts tray could have used a radish or two more (1 halved radish just looked sad). Partner had the Fleischkase (looked/tasted like SPAM, which was ok with us) with egg on top and a side of skillet potatoes and sauerkraut. Both sides very basic. I had the Bierock, with red cabbage and fries. The Bierock was good, but unexpectedly sweet. Not sure why. Fries were warm and crisp. Red cabbage was also sweet. I think next time I'm ordering the Jagerschnitzel. There is a kids' menu, but our kids were happy to sample from the Flamkuchen, the cold cuts tray and our meals. The cheesecake desert was also very basic, with canned cherry topping. I wouldn't put money on the cheesecake being made from scratch either, but I might be wrong.
BEER: I didn't see the full beer menu, only the short version with the German beers on tap, and that was enough. We had a hefeweisen and a marzen, and they were both good. Beer came fast and cold and crisp. We both had liters, because that's the way to do German beer. Reasonably priced.
OVERALL: We will definitely go again, not necessarily for the cuisine, but for the experience and the liters of beer. And because it was a thoroughly fun and kid-friendy experience. It wasn't crowded when we went, so I can't speak to service when it's very busy, but the service was perfectly fine when we went. Smiles and friendliness and timeliness all around. The prices was very reasonable. I hope they serve Obatzda during Oktoberfest (I'd love to see a pretzels/radishes + cheese dip added to their menu).
It's okay. I understand it's more northern German fare. I prefer the more robust seasonings in the wurst and mustards of southern Germany. If you're not particular and are just hungry from German food, or want to enjoy the outdoors while dining, it's worth going
Love this place. Great selection of beer and food. Make sure you go next door to the German market for candy, sausages and Bierocks
Service was great and the food was great other than the sauerkraut my daughter got was little bland and the fried potatoes for personal preference could of use just a little bit more seasoning. They were pretty busy when we went in so maybe that was the issue with those 2 things but will definitely be back again to try different stuff on the menu
The food was delicious, the beer was cold. What else do you need to know? I really enjoyed this place. I have always wondered why Wichita didn't have any German restaurants, but with Prost, we have a great one!
So let me start off by saying the food is good. I have never had an issue with the quality, temp, etc. My only personal gripe is the $. I get that they are the only German place in town, and their food truck roots. I dont mind paying a bit for authenticity but Prost is a little exaggerated . 9+ $ for a brat, & a scoop of kraut on a bruchen is a tad much. I have a family of four and we cant walk out out of there usually after food drink and gratuity right around 80+. I guess I'm just spoiled in the fact that i grew up where we had more than one authentic German cuisine place. Food is good, service is quality but the former food truck is still charging food truck prices.
They are doing everything right! Staff is still a bit new(still very polite and good service), but the food is awesome. Highly recommend the rouladen on Wednesdays, it comes with the best bread dumplings. Unique and tastey beer selection too! The cuckoo clocks really make it feel homey and balances the industrial look. Ask for the beesting cake!
It was our first time there and the staff was very helpful explaining the menu. The food was outstanding!
Fantastic food, and great staff. And the food... it awesome!! Prost!
Service was impeccable. Food was authentic. Beer was great.
They even had a difficult (and loud) customer that they handled professionally and kindly.
Loved so much I joined their stein club.
Serious A+. This place really impressed me. Great food and such a fun atmosphere.
Really, really good German food. I'm not sure if there is another dedicated German restaurant. The restaurant is located Revolutia, the storage container outdoor mall. It was packed. If you have a small party, you can get in within a short time frame (took about a half hour for me). However, bigger parties might have a tough time getting in quickly around dinner time. They have alot of options, and even a few vegan options as well. They had a good selection of beers as well. I had the currywurst and pommes. It was very tasty. The wait staff was very fun and light-hearted engaging with customers. I would go back and try something else.
We had a great time meeting new friends at Prost in their community style table set up with long benches/tables. Almoat all the food was truly delicious and tasted homemade, except for the fries, seemed frozen. Prefer handcut crispy fries over what was served, and the mustard was also disappointing/nontraditional. The meatball, the brats the red cabbage, everything else was amazingly flavorful and well done we will go back! Love knowing that 80% of their food is homemade and they have a German butcher who makes their brats/ sausages!!
We ate at your restaurant on Thursday evening. It was truly one of the most delicious meals I've had in such a long time and a great addition to Wichita. My compliments to the chef! We will be back soon!
The container mall is a good place to bring friends coming to town. Prost has cold, great tasting beer, some unique food options, and a friendly, easy environment.
What a fun experience! Food was excellent, brews were even better! Definitely a must try for other people - wichitans or not!
Honestly, I left this place disappointed in the price. I'm even rating them higher than I should so I don't feel like I'm hurting a local business. Something about paying $70 for two kids meals and two adults just doesn't feel right, and it doesn't help me out at all knowing that I was sitting at basically a picnic table inside of a storage container. I know that's just the type of 'scene' it is, but I guess I'm not hipster enough to appreciate it to that degree. To be 'Frank', we were eating glorified hotdogs.
jagerschnitzel is the best thing on their menu imo
At a point towards the end of our meal, a woman downstairs Bagan screaming at the top of her lungs. My PTSD fired up quickly as the place was generally very loud.
Are waitress was wonderful, Barbara! She explained all the questions we had about the different food choices.
Great beer, good food. But overpriced IMHO. Could not believe my bill.., and still can't figure how it was that much. (?)
My favorite place to dine and drink an authentic German fare in a friendly environment.
Incredible edibles that helped me connect to my familial roots. We tried a flight if brews and were treated to unusual German brews that were very tasty.
Fantastic! Great food, great drinks, and great people.
Just finished my meal, and it was superb. Word to the wise, arrive before 530 PM. Showed up with a party of 4 and a high chair, sat promptly. Service was splendid, the young lady serving us was mindful and our food was prompt.
I look forward to frequenting this establishment!!!
Prohst!
The food here is fantastic. I live the great beer selection. Most here you can not find at other restaurants in the area.
Love, love, love them. The owners are very friendly and always talk to us. Highly recommend this place. I would recommend trying something new every time you come in. The staff is very friendly and will let you try their beers if you are not sure which ones to try.
Cool place to grab a bite. Food was absolutely delightful. Great service and Authentic food and beer. I was fully impressed and can't wait to dine there again!!!
I’ve been a long time patron of their food truck “Let em Eat Brats”. Had the opportunity to join their stein club and jumped on it! Took the girlfriend here the other night, made some new friends, ate and drank great food and beer Loved this place!!
A Jagerschnitzel and a big ol Dunkel something-or-other beer was about the manliest meal I've ever eaten! All that umami caused a 20% increase in chest hair, and a desire to watch football. The satisfaction was epic.
Friendly staff, good food. Love that we have a German restaurant in town again! The Schnitzel "Wiener Art" and Apfelstrudel are yummy!
I wish there was a Weiner Schnitzel and Spaetzle meal so I wouldn't have to substitute sides.
Wichita's Best Real German Restuarant. A wide variety of Traditional German food. A Great selection of Bier too. The food is all made from scratch in the kitchen by its owner. Manu takes great pride in the preparation of all her dishes which are authentic and made to perfection. Likewise, The Prost imports a wide variety of Bier from Germany. The restaurant's setting is in an open, attractive traditional style ,decorated with large colorful flags representing the various cities and areas of Germany. The dining area covers two floors and weather permitting, a very large outdoor deck. If choosing to dine outdoors on the upper level deck, there are large umbrellas and portable heaters that can be used when the weather is cool. This deck overlooks an outdoor firepit and lounging area which is arranged in the commons area surrounded by this quaint village style of various shops and markets. Be sure to check out the German Market, before or after dining at the Prost. Lots and lots of delectable German candies and chocolates. You can also pic up various condiments and German souvenirs, such as hats, t shirts and Bier Steins. I give Prost my highest reccomendation. Jeff Sturm.
Good beer great service!
Always have the upmost fine dining when I visit Manu, Austin and company. Keep up the good work and make your Bavarian brother proud 😊 …
Excellent time! Friendly and welcoming staff. Bartender very knowledgeable in their product. Good food and great beer! We'll definitely be returning. Thank you, Jordan and Tay.
You can't beat this place if you want something new and different! Great place, authentic German dishes. Check out the stein wall and service! Very friendly and helpful staff, knowledgeable.
Great food and a unique experience in Wichita. The wait staff is wonderful! They also have a large fire pit outside in the center of the Revolutsia complex
German Restaurant, it was our First time there, the service was awesome very knowledgeable about their beer and food.
And the food was great. Will go back soon.
Check the times that the kitchen is open. Went hungry for schnitzel, but kitchen was closed until 5pm, so we ate at Taco Locale. Excellent tacos over there! Ditch the crazy kitchen hours, if you're open you're open.
I've never had german food before but my coworker who has swears up and down that it tastes just like it does in Germany. Food and service is good!
Always a great experience with great food.
Good food. Friendly staff. Very interesting building design. Will definitely return! Thank you
Meiner Neuer Lieblingsplatz!
Excellent German food and a great beer selection in a friendly and fun environment.
Extremely tasteful, amazing flavors… Love the atmosphere… Staff super friendly..
Can not beat the service and food here! We've lived in Germany and this is the real deal. Always fresh and homemade! One of our top three restaurants in Wichita!
I had lunch a little bit of a German beer garden.
The service was very good and food better. A very nice place to meet your friends. A fine selection of German beers. I'll be back.
The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was nice if a bit loud during the peak time.
Authentic German experience. Although, if you're not a fan of good beer, meat, potatoes, & friendly people, you're better off avoiding this place.
Great waitress! Different options than most places. The potato salad was good. Had the dunkel beer and it was dark, but good. Located in a neat shopping center.
A wonderful restaurant rooted in the community. The only thing better than eating their sauerkraut on ice is the warm family atmosphere at Prost.
The food is good. The beer is great. Just be ready for the seating. It's long benches and informal. You could land there with a family or group of college kids.
Wichita has a lot of restaurants, so it's nice to have an authentic German restaurant in the mix. Food was good, service great,& nice atmosphere. I will be back!
Food is delish. Everything was freshly made. Service was fab.
Great place and our server was wonderful
You can't get any closer to Germany without a passport! Authentic food, authentic beer, awesome people!
The pork cutlet was a little dry and tough in that it might have been cooked a little too long but the flavor was out of this world. The spaetzle was delicious but had several "blobs" where it was not separated properly when placed in the pot, as such it was undercooked inside those.
All in all, I will most definitely be back
You know what it is. Cool atmosphere! Good food! Reasonable prices. I don't drink 🍻 but they had a few different choices. Go get some. Stick around to shop at the other stores …
The place is awesome. Delicious food and beer. Great atmosphere. They take care of all details. The owner is very passionate and great person. I recommend to go and visit.
Food and atmosphere was great. Jordon the server was very friendly and recommended a great beer for next time. Will take on his offer for sure!
Food was excellent. The atmosphere was amazing.Service was great. We had to sit with another couple at the same bench but it was understandable since it was so busy.
Maybe the best German food I've eaten outside of Germany. Nice, laid back atmosphere. Good customer service. Not much else to ask for.
A little hard to spot for the first time, but so happy to find it. Spectacular food and service. I will be a repeat customer, even from home in OKC.
Best german food so far! Highly recommended!
I used to follow her around when she had the food truck... Best German food period
Great German food! Cheesecake is one of the best I have had in years. Been twice, enjoyed my meal both times.
Quality and hospitality wasnt all there the first time I went, food was a little over cooked.. building was cold. Other than that. The food had fantastic flavor. Great potential.
Absolutely fantastic food! Great atmosphere! Just make sure you make a reservation because it is busy. Cannot recommend highly enough.
So good!!! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Asked for help ordering and got the one she said was, "makes you hurt so good", and she was right, amazing!
It's not quite as good as Germany but how many stateside places are as good as their native counterpart.
It will scratch that German food itch! Location is nice.
I always get their Jagerschnitzel, it is my absolute favorite meal!!! Their German potato salad is super flavorful!
Not much seating inside hard to find entrance not much signing drove past it several times outdoors has good area but if it's rainy no where to go long wait time for food .So noisey you can't hear the person next to you.Food was good but expensive and they add a 20per cent gratuity to your bill .I don't like that I though tips were to pe for you to personally leave if the service was good.am sure I will go back because I did like the food.
Awesome staff, awesome experience, and the food is delicious. I wish I would have snapped a photo before. This is a must go to place.
Great German beer selection, served in a great atmosphere.
had lots of fun. staff was energetic. shout out to Ethan cleaning our table with great menu recommendations
Excellent food, excellent service! Authentic flavors according to our German relatives. Can't wait to go back!
This place has an amazing atmosphere! The staff are all wonderful and the food is amazing! Feels like you are actually in a bier hall in Germany!
Such a rad establishment. Waiters are fun and engaging, and the food and beer is top notch!
Great place to remember the taste of German food. Good choice of beers and sausage sandwiches. Love the wall of personal tankards.
Fantastic food, atmosphere and beer. If you haven’t been to Germany this place does a great job of making you feel like you have.
Definitely feel like the German food is American inspired. Since my schnitzel was served with french fries or pompous.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was great and came out quickly. We spent the entire time talking about and comparing the food to our Oma.
Purple cabbage was very good as well as black forest cake and cheesecake. I would have given 5 stars, but the for bierock. It wasn't terrible. Just kind of plain.
I enjoyed and will plan to return. The staff definitely wasn’t ready for a rush but they tried their best for sure. If you do come during a popular time, be patient. It’s an authentic German experience!
Excellent atmosphere inside. Delicious food. Great big beer stein club wall.
Mmm good food. Very popular place. We had to take our order to go. But the food was excellent.
Love the atmosphere, the beer is great, the Bright Bubble Rosé was great as well. Food is amazing, definitely worth the trip!
If you love authentic German food then this is the place for you. Great food, great atmosphere. As authentic as you can get without a passport.
I was just not crazy about the food but everyone else at the table enjoyed their choices so it could of been just me. Prices are fantastic, along with the wait staff beyond awesome.
A family owned german based cuisine, friendly , fast service . A unique , and environment friendly style , and design in the building .
The staff is fun and knowledgeable, the food is great and served fast, but the beer is what you go for 11/10.
SO PUMPED WITH THE VEGETARIAN OPTIONS!! Wichita needed this 🙌
Best veggie meat I’ve ever had and at a fair price too! My new fav lunch spot …
Food was reasonably priced but the 14 dollar for a beer I thought was over priced but food was good will go back but probably leave out the beer.
They have a small menu that they do incredibly well. Food was great, service was quick and friendly. I'll definitely go back!
Want to try something new and different come here. Get a flight of German beers and order some bratwursts! Then go shopping in the little shops that are near by.
Our food was hot and tasted very good but our service could have been more attentive. The dessert exceptional.
The waiter was aloof and brought us incorrect beers 3 times
The atmosphere was great. I tried the pork cutlet sandwich and a side if cucumber salad.
Food was decent. Small portions. Way too expensive for what they serve. Atmosphere is pretty nice!
Love the authenticity of the food and the atmosphere. The owners are great people who make sure everyone has a good experience. Love Prost!!
Neat place. Good food. They really try to make you feel like you are in Germany.
Food & service good. Lively crowd inside & outside. Can't speak for the beer, but my brat was great.
I've been longing for quality vegetarian sausage, and finally found it. Highly recommend to any vegetarian looking for unique cuisine that can't be found elsewhere!
Excellent food and service. We will definitely be back.
Great food amazing people and some of the best beer i have had in a long time!
Hit the spot
Such a nice find
Great staff
Fantastic german restaraunt with ever-growing menu selections. Make sure to secure a beer stein and make yourself a regular amidst shipping container views
The food was good and reasonable price. The atmosphere was great and our waitress was amazing, really knowledgeable and friendly.
Authentic German food, loved it, casual dining.
It gets busy and the can do reservations.
Would recommend
Great food and atmosphere, server was amazing and had a great time.
Great German food and beer. And the service is always great
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Food and drink were great.
Excellent restaurant! The food was fanatic, and the staff took all the necessary precautions to ensure everyone had sanitized prior to entering.
Love coming here! The food is amazing and the beer is even better! I love seeing what they have for daily specials!
I'm actually not a huge fan of their particular community seating structure. With a single giant beer hall table it makes sense, but as a group of 3 at a table for 4, it was weird when a lone diner was sat with us.
Great food and atmosphere. Made me feel like I was back in Bavaria! Jager Schnitzel rocked.
The food was very good. It was lunch so I didn't partake in a beer. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
What a unique place! German beer and food both excellent! Service was also absolutely perfect!
Great food, better than dinner of the German food I grew up with. Smooth beer, friendly vibe, great atmosphere.
Great German eatery! Location was handicap accessible, but did have to cross a courtyard of gravel before the sidewalk that led to a ramp.
Real German food in a great atmosphere. Friendly service, friendly clientele and good German food. Plan to make this a regular stop.
Of course they have the best German food in town, plus super friendly servers.
Good food, great beer, awesome staff, and very nice environment. The schnitzel is amazing!
Food was great and the experience was worth the price point. 🍺 …
Very good and authentic German fare. Is small so if you have a large party call ahead or be prepared to spit up.
Good food. Neat atmosphere. Perhaps a bit overpriced for the portion sizes but the experience makes up for it.
Amazing food, very tasty beer and very friendly waiter. Kendall did a great job!! Thank you!
Honestly, I didn't care for it very much. I'd much rather go to stroots and buy a roll of sausage and cook it myself
Great German bar food with plenty of cold beer. Garlic Cheese for pretzel dipping is beyond good.
Some of the best German food I've ever had. Their produce and German shop had some wonderful selections as well.
A regular traditional German Guesthouse experience! Great German dishes and tap beers!
Jolly atmosphere, friendly people, and delicious German food. My favorite is the spaetzle!
Love it! Great food, good beer!! 2nd time there, tried something new, and it was delicious!!
Delicious German food. Friendly staff. Unique restaurant built out of shipping containers.
The food was delicious, the service was phenomenal!! 10/10 would and have recommended!! I can't wait to go back!!
Great food, staff is very friendly, great atmosphere, probably make some new friends while your there too, definitely worth the wait.
Excellent and fresh food, just be prepared for a wait before and after seating. Certainly worth the trip!
We had a few of us stop in have lunch and beer. Had good German food and beer.
The food was tasty. The German branded beer was ok. The community seating is for extraverts only.
Second time there and it was delicious still. Great price and great food. The service was outstanding! Ty Gregory!
Favorite German restaurant! The schnitzel is the best
Great food and great service. I'll be back for what looked like good beer.
Host said a bunch of awkward things in German. Food was wunderbar. Decor is questionable, but what do you expect from Sodasopa?
This restaurant is ok, but if I wanted Hillshire Farms Sausage, I would go to Dillon’s. Not as good as it appears to be, just average.
A hidden gem. Hard to find entrance but worth the effort. Authentic German food and Bier. Venture upstairs for the German market.
Excellent food, beer, and environment. Very friendly and personable staff.
I'm blown away with their sausage. I shared an appetizer with someone and had my own dish and now I'm stuffed. Go get some!
Loved the food and the beer. Also very reasonable price and great staff.
Always a treat. Had krustenbraten for the first time. Delicious.
Just like Germany. Priced a little high but since it is the only real German food in Wichita, it well worth it.
Absolutely loved the environment here! The spaetzle was perfect and there is a ton to do in this little area. Perfect for a little date!
Loved it good food. And the staff was great. Will definitely go back
It's difficult to describe how good the food is at this place. You have to try it. We'll be back to explore more of the menu.
Excellent food and service. You may end up spending more than you expected, but you're paying for quality.
their food is just amazing the service is always friendly and prompt but I just cannot stop eating there It hurts so good I'm going to need a nap now thank you prost I love it
Food was good and service was good. I would go back again.
Great food. Great beer. Great atmosphere. Prost is a gem in Wichita!
Excellent food, value prices, good selection and great service make this a must try lunch or dinner dedtination!
Amazing.. Servers are great and the food was just as good as any German place I've been
Great food. Even better than the food truck they had and the beer selection is great.
Really good food, beer and atmosphere. Beers a re a little pricey but its worth it.
Great concept, fabulous food and beer selection. Ask about joining the Stein Club.
I absolutely love Prost. This is my second time visiting from Utah and it is always a must go to when we are in town.
Good German food, many choices of German beer
The meal was excellent for the four of us. We will let our friends know also. Frank and Renate Hagar
Fantastic experience! Great food! Already planning our next visit!
The Schnitzels are delicious and the beer is great. Highly recommend this place.
Different and interesting - went with a friend (former German teacher) and enjoyed the culture lesson and the food!
Wonderful service and atmosphere. Drinks were exceptional as well as their food.
Great food, real German beer, good service and a great atmosphere.
A bit pricey....but worth every penny....some of the best beer i have ever had.....and between the beer and food....instant bliss coma..... OMG
Great food, filling, and wonderful beer. I usually don't drink beer but it's amazing.
Food was good... service was amazing!!!! Great place!
