Revisited this place after many years and glad to have done it. Ashley took care of the service and she was friendly and attentive. She was quick to refill the water and informed me that Mondays are "free hummus" days which allowed me to choose my dishes accordingly. The food tasted as good as it used to be. The quality and consistency is still there. After dining in, I placed an order to go as well. The place hasn't changed much since I last visited and I think an upgrade to the place would really do good for business. They do have ample parking. If you are in the Wichita area and looking for an authentic Mediterranean restaurant, visit this place. You will not be disappointed.

Highly recommend to dine while you're in Wichita! Delicious Mediterranean/Lebanese cuisine. Best dolmades I've had on all my travels, even better than in Greece. Gyro with hummus and tabouli side was flavorful and not the processed meat you get at other restaurants. Baklava and butter cookies was good. Everything is made fresh. Their Turkish coffee was strong, and definitely gave you energy afterwards. Will be my go to repeated restaurant to dine in yearly when I'm in town. Excellent customer service as well. Beautifully decorated for the holidays.

We ordered the Fattoush and Chicken Shawarma along with Rosehip Lemonade, Mango Kombucha, and Mango Juice. Our server (Ryan) was very well versed and had excellent recommendations and suggestions. She even removed an item off our bill I wasn't particularly fond of. (I didn't mind either way because I like to try new things.) For dessert we got Flan, and a Pistachio Baklava! Everything was a 5/5 for me. Highly recommend their free hummus on Mondays.

This restaurant is beautiful. The food quality here is really outstanding they have an awesome team of cooks and chefs in the kitchen who are making every order absolutely fresh. If you want something different and delicious this is your place. I've tried their vegetarian options as well as their main dishes and I can't choose a favorite. Even better than their main dishes are their desserts. Try a piece of pie it might change your life! The portions are large, well worth the price. Reasonable place. Thank you!

By far one of the best places I have had the pleasure to eat at in a while! I loved the vegan schwarma. Our server was able to offer some great options since this was our first dining experience here. When you go here, don't leave without trying the hummus. This is the best hummus I have ever tried.

Relax, clean place to enjoy delicious Middle Eastern food. Staff was all friendly and especially our waitress. She took good care of us without being intrusive. Even help my daughter figure out a couple things in the menu that she didn't think she would like that she actually did. They start you off with a basket of fried and soft pita chips which were delicious. The falafel was cooked perfectly both in temperature and taste.. The Gyro was delicious with delicious seasoned meat and plenty of sauce. The kafta special was perfect as I had their Greek salad with homemade dressing, homemade hummus and perfectly seasoned meat on a crisp pita. The meat was so good you could have eaten it by itself without anything else but the whole presentation was an excellent meal. Wish we had room for dessert but it was a lot of food so we opted to skip this time. Will definitely come back to this place and bring friends here.

The staff is very friendly. The food is always good. They have the best hummus in town or maybe it's just that they have the best pita in town to go with. It's probably both. They make their own pita and pita chips and you get a giant bag to go with the hummus. It's so good, you might forget about your entree.

It was clean and spacious so not sitting on top of other patrons. The hummus was the best I've ever tasted and, bonus, there's a market next door to buy it and other wonderful Mediterranean goodies. I may have found my new favorite place! And the grocery attached has awesome variety of middle eastern foods and spices. Wow! Great selection

Had a quick delicious lunch. The service was excellent. Had the chicken shawarma wrap and humus dip. The server was on point and the food was also. This place is clean and has a great atmosphere. My husband and I ate the lamb gyro and it was delicious. I also had the mango juice it was absolutely fantastic I am a big lover of mango and that was perfect. I also had the kombucha with mango and I liked it too My daughter ate beef shawarma. And we tried the Turkish coffee and it was delicious. We tried the baba ganoush and the tabouli it was good , hummus was our favorite. I also had The baklava pecan I loved the flaky layers. We loved our visit it was absolutely fantastic the food was delicious and fresh and our server was the best very helpful and attentive to our needs. We love the atmosphere and the staff , they are wonderful. This is our new favorite place to go. Our server was Ken he was very friendly and attentive he made our visit exceptional ✨

This Cafe has been a family outing since I was 7 years old. As a small child my dad and I would come here on days after doctor's appointment or we take the whole family out every two months for a splurge dinner in town. And now nearly 20 years later they are still as excellent as they were back then. This is their $5 sauteed veggies that smelled heavenly when I opened it. And a lamb gyro. I also placed my order at 1104 and am sitting half finished eating at 1115. Very quick service during my short lunch break.

I was really looking forward to this place due to being family owned and off the beaten path. Maybe it was me, but I was not crazy about the flavor profiles as the taste wasn’t as exquisite as I wanted. Also, the meat was slightly grilled too long.

Delicious food! Tiramisu is to die for!!! The gyro and hummus are both absolutely amazing! The only issue I had was when they cut the gyro there were thin pieces of tinfoil left in the gyro that I had to pick out. Otherwise perfect! A+

First time. Enjoyed my Kafta special. The store was a neat experience also. I travel for for work and dine alone most of the time. I wish they offered single cabbage rolls for one person. The only menu option was 4 cabbage rolls per order which I wouldnt be able to eat. This has prevented me from trying their cabbage rolls which I'm sure are good.

My husband and I ate here last night on our date night. A woman at a local boutique shop had actually recommended it to us and I’m so glad she did. It was a very comfortable cozy atmosphere. The hummus was awesome - it’s not of my favorite snacks and theirs did not disappoint. Our meals were also greens good portion sizes. I had a chicken artichoke pita and my husband had kebab meal. Our server was also perfect for us - I unfortunately cannot remember her name but she was nice and attentive without being intrusive. I really liked her - tall with short blonde hair.

Wow! This is an amazing bakery and middle eastern restaurant. We had chicken and shawarma sandwiches, and the portions are generous. The baba ganoush is delish! It’s authentic and the staff are upbeat and friendly. Great place!

Outstanding food and wonderful polite staff! Every food item was different and full of flavor. They have the best hummus and baba ghanoush in Wichita! I loved the beef shawarma, tabouli, spinach pies, and their baklavas. Restaurant is also vegan and vegetarian friendly. They have special daily deals as well. This place is always busy every time I visit and sometimes the staff can't keep up with the overload with orders so I hope they can hire more people who will help out in this great restaurant.

Came here for the first time when they were doing a fundraiser for the Lebanese Red Cross. Lots of people turned out and there was a 30 min line before ordering, with a 2 hours wait for food. However, the staff were clearly dedicated to working and trying to attend to as many people as possible. The food, when I came back to pick up, was delicious. I ordered the gyro, hummus, baba ghanoush, fries, and pistachio baklava. The lamb was cut rather thick, but the pita was very soft, the hummus was creamy and delicious, and the baba ghanoush had a welcoming smokiness. Their pita chips are amazing as well, I could eat the bag on its own. Have yet to try the baklava, but I imagine it'll be great as well. Thanks to N&J for hosting this donation, and for handling all of the people and chaos!

Delicious. Why does each bite makes me close my eyes? Maybe it’s the garlic.. maybe it’s the Smokey yummy flavor.. maybe it’s the beautiful textures.. only thing I’d say to improve is the tiny bits of foil on the food from cutting the wrap .. other than that, the food and service are amazing.. I stopped by based on google reviews during a road trip.. jazmin is terrific.. thank you for the napkins!.. the local folks sitting next to us were super sweet people to chat with.. I want to go back.. best shawarma/Mediterranean/mid eastern I’ve ever had.. I got the chicken shawarma with double baba.. the tabouli that my friend got was ridiculous also..

Great food, but under staffed. It took way longer than it should have. Even some of my food was over cooked. My first trip back since right after the market was added and honestly it was disappointing. It was a good 40 minutes from walking in to getting out appetizer, but still another 10 minutes to get the pitas for the hummus... Everyone was very friendly, but obviously they need more help there. Easy access to restaurant, parking can be tight. Still had social distanced seating set up. Update: The service has greatly improved. Unfortunately, even with great presentation, the food was simply lacking in flavor. It was okay, but not good enough, especially with the price.

Sorry, I don't have any pictures! camera phones weren't quite a thing in around 2006-2008 when I used to visit here. But this place was always really great. There's one situation that stands out - I had gone there for lunch like I always used to. Got a gyro/pita similar sort of thing - and went to pay. only to find out I had apparently forgotten my wallet! (embarrassing, but it happens.) the kind older lady who was running it that day, said it was okay and not a big deal. I got out to my car, feeling awkward about the whole thing - only to find out my debit card had just slid into inbetween my seat - So I went back in and insisted I pay. She made me another meal and told me it was on the house, for being honest - And I still remember her to this day. Go here. food was great, and if it werent for the fact I live in Germany now, i'd be going back from time to time.

Locally family owned cafe & grocery. Food is famous for being fresh and delicious. Service can be hit & miss, but food makes it worthwhile. Carry out and alcohol are both available here. They used to have belly dancers on Saturday night but I believe that has stopped. Sad, as it was always a wonderful entertaining evening. Long time location on the corner with long narrow parking lot. Truly delicious middle eastern food, a must try

I had a wonderful experience having dinner at N & J's Cafe. The interior of the Cafe was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly. The food is an excellent value in both quantity and quality. I had the mixed grill entrée. The entrée easily feeds two people. The roasted chicken was tasty and moist. The marinated beef was tasted so good, I look forward coming back to have it again. The pistachio baklava is an excellent finish to the meal and such a great price for the size of the piece you get. The whole dining experience was great and look forward to going back.

This place is a hidden gem that you would never think to stop at from just driving by. But you must try it if you like Middle Eastern food. The hummus is absolutely amazing, and I love the options to get all the meat and veggies piled on top. Their chicken shawarma makes me want to die of happiness. And I want to list all of the desserts and sing their praises, but I'm going to stick to saying that the baklava shouldn't be missed.

I don't have much to add to what others have said. Best hummus in town. Best pita bread in town. Best shawarmas in town. This was our first visit after trying Meddy's and Mediterranean Grill. This beats the other two by a mile. This will be our permanent stop for Mediterranean food. Staff was incredibly cheerful and pleasant as well. I very highly recommend.

As a first timer I was recommended the chicken shawarma wrap. I drank water as my choice of beverage. The wrap was really good, my date had the same thing only in salad form. It was a big salad. Definitely plan on going there again

A hidden gem!! I always get the chicken kebab, comes with sautéed veggies perfectly seasoned, a bed of rice, and always a side of choice, mine being hummus. They have the best pita bread, both soft and crunchy at the table for you to dip in the hummus. Not only is the food consistent and delicious, staff is super sweet, and next door is the bakery where you can buy fresh pita bread. What more could you ask for?!

I love N&Js, my family and I usually go here at least once a month. They have amazing hummus, amazing schwarmas, and their prices are really reasonable. They also make deserts like tiramisu which you can go and buy a la carte, as my fiancee loves to do from time to time. Definitely recommended.

Great Mediterranean food in Wichita! Possibly a more mild version than I have had at other locations, which was great for me. The pitas to bring home from the bakery were fresh and made the rest of my week being used for my lunch to wrap all my sandwiches in. The waitstaff was SO helpful when I had questions, as Im not an experienced Mediterranean diner. We've already been back!

Some of the best food I've eaten in Wichita. I'm a vegan and they had several options and were able to recommend me menu items to try that were vegan friendly. I had a delicious falafel sandwich of sorts and my first encounter with babaganoush. I will be going back as soon as possible.

For years, my wife and I ate at N&J nearly every Saturday. It was the first restaurant we to our only child to. Some years ago, we left Kansas and N&J is one of our top five "must visit" restaurants when we're in town. Our child is in their 20's now and N&J hasn't changed in all these years... still great food, friendly service, and good value. My only regret is that I can't have all my favorite dishes in one visit.

This is the best place in Wichita to get gyros ask for extra sauce on the side to sink you gyro. Not bad Baklava either. The sampler platter is a great way to see what you like or want to pass on. Best Mediterranean restaurant in town!! Everything on the menu (including deserts) are incredible with traditional/authentic dishes. The pita is incredible and is actually sold all around town. The interior is dark, but gives a homey vibe which is perfect for enjoying some excellent food. Staff has been incredible every time I have been there.

Really good food and a really good experience. I had the beef schwarma for the first time, with hummus and tabouli. Delicious! I was a little disappointed that the hummus & tabouli were extra as the schwarma was the daily special. I thought the waitress said it came with the schwarma (I was with a group and may have misunderstood). Still, it wasn't too much extra and not something that would prevent me from returning in the future.

I co-worker brought me to this place several years ago and I've been returning ever since. Why.. well I'll tell you why. Never has the lunch staff here erorred in anyway. My orders, friends and co-workers also, have been exactly as asked. Service has been on par with the crowd you'd expect. Fast when light, but a little slower when crowded, but never too long to cause issue. Food value is just as great as it tastes. Parking should be a problem with how good this place is but I've only been here for the lunch and never had a issue. So go try it. I highly recommend it... and also, since it's one of the few places in town you can great a great Gyro!

We went on a Friday so the special was lamb shanks and they were delicious, tender and very affordable, based on the quality of the food it was a steal. I had the beef shawarma and a gyro and they were both great, their flavors popped and it melted in my mouth. Definitely would recommend.

Stopped by here waiting for an appointment down the road for lunch, and man. What a great a find! I ordered a sandwich that was absolutely amazing (artochoke hearts and chicken? Garlic something maybe?) But anyways. I also got some rosemerry lemonade or something that was TO DIE FOR. The staff was really helpful and generally just lovely. My waitress got me like 4 different kinds of condiment for my sandwich, and all of them were amazing. Especially the schwarma and the garlic paste. 10/10 will be back!!!!

My great uncle Jimmy loved coming here, so he brought his family here & coaxed his sister-in-law & brother-in-law to come here. The lamb gyros were good but not enough to guarantee a return visit. The cookies were pretty bland and very dry (I think they are supposed to be healthy cookies). The tiramisu was decent even though the custard was frozen, it reminded me of Olive Garden tiramisu... Overall experience was okay.

Went with a large group - called ahead to make sure they would have room and we were promptly accomodated. The food is outstanding and some of the best authetic food I've had. Portions are good, especially for the price. Great service and well worth the visit. I had the shawarma platter and could barely finish it. If you get a sandwich order the double hummus side for the free pita bread and pita chips they give you.

Cons: Not a great location (sometimes hard to get into the parking lot as well, depending on traffic), and the decor could really be more fitting to the type of restaurant, and look a little bit less like a small Perkins inside.

One of the many wonders of Wichita is its Lebanese community and Lebanese restaurants. N &J is a stalwart. Try the schwarma dishes and the baba ganoush. On Saturday they have fresh cream of mushroom soup that will blow you away. The only resemblance to Campbell's is the name. Yes, soup can be life changing. There's a small store if you want to try your hand at home. But why wouldn't you want to come to N ,& J? They're nice people. Try more Lebanese restaurants. Each brings a particular perspective to a dish. If you don't care for the fattoush at one, another might put a spin on it that you do like.

This food is absolutely delicious, the service is adequate. I think I know why, if you get a chance just peak in to the back kitchen, it's epic. Zindy was especially fun to talk with; Laurie and I enjoyed meeting her. We started with a falafel appetizer which was very good then fattoush and Greek salads. Fattoush is kinda like a middle eastern panzanella or bread salad. Yummy! Laurie had the gyro and could only eat half. On the waiters recommendation, I had the chicken kebabs and was not disappointed. The grilled veggies were fab! I didn't like the pita bread; too dry and inflexible making it impossible to stuff chicken and veggies into. Baklava and cookies for dessert! Both were great!

I go to N and J every couple of weeks for their pita bread, a true pocket bread, leave the pita in the grocery stores alone, once you've tried these, you will never go back to store bought. You can by them off the shelf at Whole Foods, but at N and J, if you get there in the morning, the bag is still warm and full of steam. As a Vegan, my staple is the falafel with baba ganouj (sp) and hummus.
