Stopped in after reading google reviews. The atmosphere is great. They were on a wait and the noise was not bad. The fresh OJ was great. I ordered the Salsa Verde Pork & Egg and it was delightful. It was so good! The kids had the Funfetti pancakes and were impressed. I ate half of one and it took me back to my childhood. It was just like a cupcake ❤️. The device was outstanding.

My favorite breakfast/brunch restaurant in town. I’m not a pancake lover, but I love homegrown buttermilk pancakes!! My servers are always great and the food taste delicious. Yes, there is usually a wait but it’s definitely worth it. So just download YELP on your phone and add yourself to the wait list if you don’t want to wait around. The restaurant is always clean, great atmosphere and all the workers are always friendly. Definitely recommend and you need to try it if you haven’t.

A fantastic first visit. We had a reserved group of 12, and the table was ready to go when we walked in. We got there early before it became super busy. The service was very friendly and attentive, my Gimme the Meats omelet and cheesy grits were amazing, and the decor is clean and modern. Coffee was perfectly fresh. You can tell they really care about what they prepare. Probably one of the best breakfasts I've ever had.

WELL DONE Open space, quick service, good menu, and good atmosphere. Food was also good. We did not like the coffee that much but it’s the usual. I would like to see cool and natural places like this take or put a little more effort in getting fresh coffee beans, grind what the use in the day and serve that fresh. That will be a plus - but what they serve now is like I said, the usual and still works well with the rest. Also being able to walk outside and enjoy the park after a meal is so great! Recommended 100% 👌🏻

Fantastic place for breakfast. I come here try my best to eat healthy and usually end up eating too much anyway. The place is kept clean and the staff are very friendly. The food is always amazing and fresh. The only place I go to for freshly squeezed orange juice. Superb!

I enjoy breakfast. Its comforting and good, but nothing I usually consider to be amazing...HomeGrown has shattered this. We had the sweet potato pancakes and it was one of the most amazing things I have ever eaten. The pecans...the cream cheese...the caramel... So amazing. Can't wait to go back and try the Pop Tarts :)

This place is woth a stop! We didn't have a reservation and went for brunch on Saturday. We did have to wait for about 45 but we expected the wait. This place has excellent service and a great atmosphere. The food was top-notch. Absolutely love that everything is fresh and local. The cold pressed juice was also amazing.

Delicious! I got strawberry lemonade, lemon French toast, with a lemon pop tart. Feeling lemons today evidently. Strawberry lemonade was AMAZING! Best I’ve had. They gave me one to go as well and I was thrilled! Lemon French toast was extremely good! The lemon sauce had a lot of lemon taste, which I don’t usually love, but you mix that with the vanilla bean sauce and it is perfect! The eggs on the side were cooked a perfect medium and the bacon was not great and too crispy. I would say do NOT get the bacon make that yourself at home. Haven’t tried the other meats, but want to. The lemon pop tart was so unique. I would say it was slightly too much pop tart for me, but would be great to share with another. It was yummy, but not anywhere near as good as the French toast. I think the cinnamon pop tart would have been better personally, but who knows. Atmosphere and staff was perfect for a nice brunch restaurant! Great Job!! Except for the bacon :)

I love coming here and trying the mimosas. I usually get a “gimme the meats” omelette. I always have great waitresses. They are usually very busy so it is best to call ahead and put your name on the list. I do wish they had a larger selection for mimosas, such as bottomless mimosas and more flavor options. Staff are friendly and bathrooms are clean.

Ridiculously good. Everything from the homemade pop tarts to the homemade coffee cake to the hand-made tables was just incredible. And the online waitlist made it a perfect way to plan the morning, even with it being crazy busy. We’ll be back!

Amazing breakfast/brunch diner with incredible staff. I was impressed with how quickly a table freed up for us. My only complaint is the whites on the sunny-side-up eggs were not set, but the dishes were still fantastic. Highly recommend the coffee cake (to-go is fine too).

It was ok. The food is your average brunch spot. Place was extremely busy it was my first time so I didn’t know to call ahead and reserve because we waited a good 20/25 minutes. Drinks were also your average mimosa nothing special and nothing done to make them look cute or stand out which us ladies love. The waitress also seemed overwhelmed or frustrated so she wasn’t too friendly but I do plan to give them a second try.

Great experience at HomeGrown Wichita - Homemade PopTart, Coffee and Service we're perfect. Only disappointment was the Pork and Salsa Verde... You must LOVE salsa to like this dish. Now, I'm not talking casual relationships type love, I'm talking borderline stalkerish type love. Long story short there's just way too much salsa.

Service and atmosphere are great and friendly, food was good, but nothing above eating-out-quality in what we ordered, **especially considering the price**: avocado toast + side of bacon and fruit, cuban sandwich with side of veg. I'll go again, but if I'm not super excited about a dish I'll spend less money for similar elsewhere.

Best Eggs Benedict Florentine I've ever had, and I consider myself a homegrown connoisseur! Biscuit was thicker than I've seen, so I was a little suspicious, but WOW, perfectly balanced! Truly the best hollandaise sauce I've ever had! 🤤 First time I've ever seen homemade pop-tarts on a menu, so I had to try one. It came out piping hot and deliciously flaky! Definitely thinner than traditional pop-tarts, but still good. Also, I love the Kindness theme! ❤️

One of our favorite restaurants in town! Stopped by for a breakfast before a little trip out of town, and was surprised to find it lively and hopping on a Wednesday morning. The service here is always great even with all the business. This time we got the pork with salsa verde and eggs and also the croissant french toast with sausage and eggs. I was hesitant to try the pork for breakfast for fear of a heavy and greasy dish. The dish ended up being fantastic. The chile verde sauce was fresh and bright. The perfect amount of acidity, perfect for an egg over easy. The pork was not greasy and heavy, but it sure tasted good. This was served over potatoes with a touch of pico and cilantro. The tomatoes and herbs brought the warmth and vibrance of summer. I tasted the croissants french toast. It was also excellent but im not into sweets so wouldn’t make a meal of it. As always the sausage patty was a delight. Homegrown is always top notch.

I love the concept of this place, with a lot of high quality, locally sourced ingredients. The food was decently good, and my hot chocolate was extra fun with the whipped cream and sprinkles. Sadly, I have to admit if I were choosing just on flavor of the food, I would choose Doo Dah Diner instead every time. That said Homegrown does have slightly lower prices, quality ingredients, and isn’t closed on Mondays, so it’s a solid choice for certain situations.

Overall, the food was excellent! There are plenty of vegetarian options and the rosemary potatoes were to DIE for. Their signature french toast was awesome on the croissant.

Delicious brunch! We had Limoncello french toast and an omelette (packed with meat and mushrooms), along with the tango mango mimosas (probably the best mimosas we've ever had—mango with fresh squeeze orange juice and prosecco, with a spicy mix on the rim that balances really well). Only in town for the weekend and definitely glad we checked this place out.

This place was cute and the food was fantastic! Pancakes were perfect and fluffy. Cheesy grits are real and delicious. All of our food came out timely, perfectly cooked and delicious. Also, do yourself a favor and try their coffee cake. Get it to go if you have to and eat it later, trust me! The restaurant was simply decorated, clean and the staff were all incredibly nice! Also this has to be the most moderately priced breakfast/brunch place I've ever been to. I got pancakes, eggs, sausage, grits, a coffee cake, and a soda for $23. Parking isn't great, as it's street parking only, or if you find a lot nearby there's a little walk involved.

Amber at the Bar was working a full bar and section while keeping up with drink orders. She greeted me and was thoughtful and friendly. Took my drink and Togo order... I quickly received my drink all the while Amber was vocal with management to get the best service for everyone in her area as well as continuing to produce drinks and take orders. Her suggestion for lunch was delicious and I highly recommend you take good care of her at Homegrown... because she took great care of her guests and in turn is taking great care of Y'all! Thank You

Yesterday, I went to Homegrown for the second time and it was delish. I also had an enlightened experience that I would like to share publicly. Both times I have been to HG, Logan has been my server. Yesterday's visit, I was having a rough day at work & found refuge in having lunch with a friend. Logan turned the corner with our hot pancakes (made to absolute perfection, BTW). She planted my friend's plate on the table and then reached over to deliver mine. In the midst of the exchange, she accidentally spilled my soda on the floor, in my lap, and on the table. Naturally, in the "customer is always right" motto, Logan was profusely apologetic and she cleaned up as quickly as she could. But honestly, I was glad to let it soak in (no pun intended) because this was a necessary & abrupt reminder that we are all HUMAN, even at our work places. People shouldn't have to be profusely sorry for that. Logan has been nothing but joy both times I've been in. She's polite, attentive, knowledgeable & suggestive on the menu, bubbly/upbeat, and serves so that her tables want for nothing. Above all, she is human and what more can you want from a person? Thank you HG for your staff, amazing food, supporting local vendors, and gluten free options. 6/5 stars. ♥️

You can never go wrong at Homegrown. The food is fresh, hot and always good. I love their breakfast and even though we were there about 1 pm, I couldn't help but order a create your own breakfast. My husband had an omelette and was not disappointed. Keep using locally grown food and people. Their smiling faces and great attitudes always make our day.

Good coffee, I liked that they leave an insulated pot with the table. Fresh and tasty food, good quality and well presented. Bloody Mary tasted like dill pickles and was ripoff small; didn't care for it even though I like pickles. I had the pork salsa verde breakfast, was a great dish and good portion. Eggs were ordered medium but cooked hard. Somewhat loud but comfortable seating. Would come back.

We love Homegrown and especially this location. Being within walking distance of local shops makes it a fun outing for the family. We recently had lunch instead of breakfast and tried the chicken salad sandwich. Hands down the best chicken salad we have had anywhere in Wichita!

We enjoyed great service at this restaurant. The food was great, too. Lots of options for our gluten-intolerant, nut-free, vegan, and omnivore family and friends. The art on the walls by local artists was a nice touch. We saw another piece of art by the woman whose mural was behind us elsewhere in the city as we wandered around later in the day. The location is great for those who want to shop downtown or Old Town Wichita. The Gimme the Meats scramble I ordered was delicious and the roasted rosemary potatoes... YUM! Be sure to call ahead if you plan to go on a Saturday morning. The place was packed. I've heard it always is on the weekend. We called ahead and only had to wait about 20 minutes after we arrived.

This is our first time visiting this restaurant and for the most part it was very nice. We elected to sit outdoors, very nice. When the mist came in the servers put up umbrellas for everyone. The service was very good overall. The only drawback is that while the food was all as ordered and tasted good, it did come out cold and seemed to have been sitting for a while.

I have dairy and gluten issues and have successfully eaten brunch here twice without having a reaction. Thank you homegrown for being conscious of allergies and intolerances. I will continue to come back and support this business. I get the build your own breakfast and share with my 1 year old who unfortunately inherited my food issues. And my spouse gets the pancakes and shares one with our 3 year old. We also love that the kids can color and send a postcard to grandparents to proudly display on their fridges.

Birthday brunch for 3. Entire side of dwntwn cafe is windows, so we looked out at beautiful Naftzger Park while we ate. One of us had gimme meat omlet, one had avocado toast, and one had West coast scramble. I sampled and all were delicious! We'll be back for more!

If you mention that you're allergic to gluten, they will offer you gluten-free options as pancakes and bread BUT make sure to also ask what the risk of cross-contamination is. Gluten-free pancakes, gluten-free bread.. everything is cooked on the same grill as non-gluten-free items. So be careful!

The service is always good and the food is always delicious!! I have two favorite entrees here. I rotate between their Avocado Toast or their Build-Your-Own-Breakfast. Absolutely Amazing! My iced vanilla latte was not syrup-y or too sweet. The muffin was NOT chewy like most muffins. It was soft and warm and delicious! The jam that goes with it was scrumptious too! The potatoes were seasoned so well, no ketchup was needed! Wonderful breakfast! The teas were superb as well!

Service was actually some of the best i've had at a brunch restaurant. Irish coffee was amazing which sounds obvious but there are levels to this mon frère. Brunch was, as expected, banging. Honestly it was the coffee cake (that was a literal cake) delivered with a drizzle me timbers sauce for 4 whole american pesos that tipped me over to 5 stars bahd.

Went for lunch with the other attorneys in my office. Had the BYOB (build your own breakfast) scrambled eggs were super fluffy and amazing. The sausage patties were perfect. The English muffin was super fluffy and filling. Jelly was amazing. Potatoes were very good. I also brought my wife back a coffee cake because she really likes it. I will go back and I’m not a breakfast person at all.

I eat at this location all the time, and untill this morning, has always been excellent. I walked was greeted warmly, asked how many in my party? I responded warmly, and told them just me and they asked if I'd like to sit at the bar. Well the bartender was very rude, told me I was in a closed section and needed to move. Long red hair, not very nice. I asked to speak with a manager and of course I was allowed to sit there. Carolyn waited on me and she is very nice and accommodating as has always been my experience before today. Take away...don't sit in the bar.

We were from out of town and tried this on a whim. It was super. The decor was fantastic with the ‘bee kind’ theme and hexagonal shapes to represent the honeycomb. More importantly the breakfast food was fantastic. I had biscuits and gravy. Top tier! My wife had the cinnamon French toast and from someone that is very particular, she ate every bite. Highly recommend.

This was the first time I had visited here recommended by my girlfriend and I was very impressed. The interior decoration are very pleasant and it makes you feel at home. My favorite part is all the custom tables made with different types of wood. The meals on top of that were fantastic. I had the Cuban sandwich and it was one of the best Cuban's I've had in a while. I will definitely be stopping at some of their other locations.

We were told we'd be seated immediately upon arrival. We called at 8:30am for seating of 7 +toddler. We arrived at 9:45am and were seated at a booth with a table scooted up to it at 11:55am!!

I like going to homegrown. They have great food and very kind caring staff. This is the 3rd time I have been to the downtown one. Today they seemed a bit overwhelmed. The floor around the table they seated us still had stuff on the floor (napkin, fork, bits of food). I am really surprised they are normally really tidy and on top of things. I would definitely go back to this one again because I think they just got home overwhelmed. They do gluten free bread and pancakes. Carry dairy free milk and willing to do alterations if you need it. Great place, great food, just think we went when they were struggling a bit.

Amazing place. The good is extremely good. We ordered the Florentine Eggs and the Salsa Verde Pork & Egg. Both dishes come with rosemary potatoes, which are beyond good. We also ordered their hot latte and it was also very good. The only downside is, if you are planning to come in the weekend, you definitely need to join their waitlist online or you'll have to wait around an hour. My advice is, wake up go to Yelp or their website, join the waitlist, then start to get ready and finally go to their place.

What a hidden gem in Wichita. They are super accommodating, and were accurate with both of my orders that had item removals on them. The ingredients were fine, but you could tell the kitchen crew was solid, which is what made the food excellent. Very very friendly staff as well!

Stop by here for a post run breakfast. As always it does not disappoint, the food was cooked perfectly and the service was excellent. There was a wait but fortunately we were able to check in via the Yelp app. By the time we got there we only waited 2 minutes before we were seated.

Best breakfast restaurant, indeed! I had Eggs Benedict Florentino and my husband had Eggs with Chile Verde. It is hard to say whose was tastier. Their espresso is good (although they should preheat the cups). Our server, Illene, did a great job, and on her FIRST day on the job! (As the One Star Chef says, Vafanculo Yelp)

This was our first time visiting any HomeGrown location. I was a bit frustrated with the parking situation, since it was pretty busy in the area and wasn't quite sure where I was going, but it was worth it in the end. We had a 30 minute wait, and decided to download the Yelp app to be able to keep track of our position in line. We waited in Naftzger Park and people watched. It's such a neat little area with loads of potential fun to be had as it warms up outside. Soon enough we were at our table and waited on promptly. The restaurant is pretty noisy, so it takes a little more work to carry on much conversation. The food was amazing. We enjoyed eggs, bacon, pancakes, a poptart, tomato soup and a coffee cake among us. The big stand outs were the bacon and the coffee cake. The bacon was thick cut, flavorful and cooked just right. You can just taste the love and fresh ingredients in every bite. We will definitely be back.

Today was my first visit ever. Went to the Wichita downtown location. Beautiful decor and very friendly staff - loved that! Ordered Turkey & Avocado sandwich with side salad. 1. No avocado on the sandwich 2. A piece of parchment in my sandwich 3. Dried, hard food on the outside of my bowl🤮. Not sure if this is typical, but was not impressed. At all.

We decided to try this location after trying the rock rd. And having a good experience. The wait for our group was ridiculously long. We called at 9 and were told we would be seated at 11. So we arrived at 10:45 sat outside by the lawn to wait and were seated at 11:30. The group was 10 people. We even suggested to be seated I. Two separate tables, but the hostess said that would be harder for the server somehow. So we waited. After we were seated service was good, food was hot and tasted good. The orange juice is the best. The restaurant was clean. It is very loud and sound carries all over the room. The server brought our ticket and stopped checking on us after that. When she decided it was time for us to leave the service stopped. We stilled tipped well, but would stick with a different location next time.I do recommend this place, try it on a non busy day like during the week.

The coffee cake is delicious, I always get a piece when I go. They also have interesting juice choices in addition to regular orange juice. The staff is friendly. It is best to call ahead (at least on the weekend) if you don't want to wait an hour.

I loved everything about this place! The atmosphere, the “choose kind” motto, the staff and most importantly the food! My husband and I were in town celebrating our anniversary and stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday before we left town. We chose to sit at the bar rather than wait for a table, Talia, Sophia and Heidi were top notch! These girls were very busy, but their service never suffered. They were kind, efficient, knowledgeable and always had a smile on their face. You can tell they enjoy each other as well as what they do. Food was delicious! Will definitely go again!

Amish meats, local coffee roaster, etc.. use Yelp for getting on the waitlist ahead of time, can be 1-2 hour wait otherwise on weekends. Gluten free and Vegan and vegetarian options. Parking lot. Accessible. Restrooms (gendered) with doors on stalls though.

I gave them four only because we were unable to get in even though we were downtown at 9:30 trying to get a table. We tried to get in on Sunday for Mother's Day but they were booked on Yelp for the entire day. At 9:30 am it said we were 300+minutes out from getting a table. We tried again on Monday and walked right in. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Maybe they need to open more restaurants. Maybe one in Derby, KS would be nice too.

The food is always excellent. The server was new, but gracious and sweet when she was unsure of something. The seasonal offerings are so good! I love to visit often to try the rotating specials, but the West Coast Wake up omelette is my go-to. I also love ordering the cheesy grits in place of the potatoes. This southern girl gives them 2 thumbs up! This visit I ordered the Roasted Brussels Sprouts and sweet potatoes on toasted Farro. I would eat this every day if I could. The poached eggs on top act as a gravy. OMG...delish! Just be careful you don't pour the entire portion of gochujang over it- that can be overpowering. The fresh squeezed juices are sooooooo good I always have to get some to go. And they give me almond milk in place of creamer at no extra charge.

I went with the rosemary potatoes and biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were rich and buttery but not butter soggy. The rosemary potatoes were season very well. But being carryout had lost the crispiness by the time I got into them. Now the eggs I ordered overeasy but the whites weren't fully cooked. I've been back a couple of times since my first post and I can say the potatoes are definitely better eaten fresh. The coffee cake is one of the best I have ever had. I haven't had any other problems with the eggs.

I usually order from a different location but decided to order to go from this Homegrown location because its closer to my house. Everyone was friendly for the most part, the person that took.mymorder was very professional and kind over the phone. Once I brought the food home the disappointments began. I ordered the pork verde with soft scrambled eggs and the eggs were scrambled very dry and hard. There was barely any pork in the skillet, and my favorite thing if all...their biscuits...was so hard on top I couldn't bite it, the bottom however was very soft so I had to pick from the bottom to enjoy the biscuit. My partner ordered a byob and the bacon that was ordered crispy was flimsy and soft. Customer service pretty good, bad experience for first time ordering food from this location. Maybe I'm just partial but will drive farther to go to the usual location I visit in the future

The wait staff is extremely kind and the food is great. I have to give this review for two reasons. I went to eat alone, as a single person. I felt very brushed aside as I was encouraged to sit at the bar and the baristas seemed annoyed when I asked for a table instead. It felt like I was an inconvenience to them since I was alone. Secondly at this specific location, the atmosphere is very loud with kitchen and back of house noise. Love this business but not so crazy about the downtown location.

Homegrown is always good. I have a go-to order that is full of substitutions and add-ons and half the waitstaff have it memorized. The ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible. It’s hard to choose whether I go there (every weekday) for the food or for the service.

I love the salads. However, there is no mention on the web menu of the cheesy bread that gets put on top. I placed a to go order and got back to my office and there was the bread on top. I am gluten free... I simply cannot remember which places do and do not have croutons , bread or other gluten ingredients in their salads. I depend on the menu to tell the whole story! When I called to place my order the girl who answered told me what was in the salad and didn’t even mention the bread! I hope the owners read this and implement a change to their menus!

Have been to this downtown location many times now for breakfast and will continue to do so. If I could ask one thing of the management, it would be to consider some soft-surface items to cut the noise level a bit. When the restaurant is very busy, my wife and I have a difficult time carrying on a conversation and often asked to be seated outside on account. Not a deal breaker though. Perhaps we just need to go a bit earlier... LOL. Thanks!

I was looking for comfort food while I waited for my husband while he is having surgery this morning and due to Covid no family is allowed in wait room sooo I found HomeGrown and decided to get some breakfast since it was going to be a long wait before my husband was out of surgery... I ordered the Biscuits & Gravy breakfast which came with two eggs and diced potatoes the overall dish was a bit to salty and the Biscuits tasted spongy dough texture not at all like a true Homemade biscuit and gravy should taste sooo I was disappointed because I was really needing some good tasting comfort food this morning, I am not to familiar with the area and did not want to drive far from the hospital to find food so decided to try something different// the other negative is parking for this location not the easiest to find but I found some place to park just before I was about to give up and find something else... Sooo overall I will say some others plate orders at other tables looked good soooo I might give them a second try at a later time just would not recommend HomeGrown Biscuits & Gravy as a comfort meal.
