Reviews of Georges French Bistro
Shel Mag
Georges French Bistro was good food and good service. It was busy for a Wednesday night, and with the hard marble floors and lots of windows, all of the conversations seemed to echo. Aside from the noise, the rest was good. Our newest favorite appetizer (when available) is mussels, and theirs are quite good. I wasn't terribly hungry, so I decided to just order the seafood crepes, and hubby chose the scallops. He *was* hungry, so although the 4 scallops and fingerling potatoes were probably plenty, he was still not satisfied. I shared my crepes, and we were both happy. He finished his meal with a chocolate martini, which he was pleased with.

This was our first time at Georges, we were celebrating an anniversary Caroline was our server she was very knowledgeable about the menu and made sure our needs were met she is awesome! Ben the general manager was also awesome he meant to treat us to desert but got side tracked which is understandable due to busy with multiple other things going on at busy establishment and forgot but on our drive home he called and apologized which I thought showed great Character and told us he would make it right the next time we dine at Georges. We definitely will be back soon thanks for making our dining experience a great one. 👍

We had a birthday celebration. Everyone loved their selections. The oysters were incredibly fresh and the desserts were decadent. My mom enjoyed the fire sparkler they brought when her birthday dessert arrived. It was a wonderful place to celebrate any special event but also was comfortable to enjoy on any occasion.

The Wife and I went out for a date night after a stressful week. First time coming to Georges and have to say that the experience was Amazing. We had a Charcuterie board for the first time and it was great. I had the Grand-Mere Chicken and it was fantastic, tender and juicy, the flavors were spot in that sauce but especially on those potatoes. The Wife had the Duck A L'orange and we both agreed that was the best dish. The duck was amazing, that orange sauce is amazing, the puree was fantastic and the bean and sausage side was delicious, it was an overall great dish. The desserts were amazing and well worth it. I have to give great credit to the restaurant because my Wife never finishes meals when we go out, she always takes some home with us but here she said that she had to finish all of her food because it was so good. Finally, our server was Kennedy and he was amazing at what he does. Had recommendations on what to eat for every course always stopped by to check on us and refill drinks or clear off dirty dishes. The man is definitely a credit to himself and the restaurant. Between the food and the service, we will definitely be coming back.

The first time for three of the five of us to eat Georges. It is the rare place where the food and dining experience make it well worth the cost.
We had drinks, appetizer, main entrees and dessert and everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Our server, Tanner, was wonderful! He answered all of our questions, made excellent recommendations, and was readily available without hovering. Looking forward to dining at Georges again in the near future.

This is our go-to Bougie place. The rotating seasonal drink menu has never let us down. Absolutely love the art deco vibe and the food is always phenomenal. Great place to go if you're looking to treat someone special or if you're just looking to sit at the bar and enjoy some apps and desserts!

Absolutely BONKERS delicious. George's is the best fine dining restaurant in Wichita. Oysters with mignonette were a fantastic starter and are included on the happy hour menu, so we were able to just grab four to sample, rather than a full half dozen. The cocktails are wonderful - my first had lemon infused vodka, apricot liqueur, rosemary simple, and lemon juice. It was dangerously good. I can't say that very many salads in my life have ever excited me, but when I say that the beet salad was the BEST salad I have ever eaten, I mean it. It was incredible. I was torn between the filet and the rainbow trout and ended up getting the filet with demi glace. It was cooked perfectly and the demi glace was very complex and interesting. Even the haricot verts, which usually just provide color on a plate, were incredible: garlicky, a little salty, with I think some leeks in the sauce. Potatoes? Divine. Husband had the barramundi with seafood risotto and we both just about died over the risotto. He mentioned more than once that he could easily make a meal of the risotto alone (though the sea bass was also great). Next time I'll try the trout - very excited to return for that. Service was just perfect - our server was friendly and attentive and offered pointers when we were torn between several different choices. As we were celebrating my birthday, they treated us to house-made ice cream with a flaming sparkler alongside the desserts we ordered. At points in the meal, several managers (?) stopped by to check that everything was good, and at the end of our meal, the chef came to our table and happily discussed our meal with us! He even helped us decipher the flavors we were picking up in the demi glace. He was incredibly sweet and personable!! We are already dying to go back because this is truly one of the best meals we've had - not just in Wichita, but in the world. We honeymooned in Paris, so French food has a special spot in our hearts. This place is a true gem.

Some ample sized starters that could serve as your whole meal and beautiful, rich desserts. Decent cocktails (get the one with the rosemary) and a good wine list. The mussels are a must! The duck a l'orange was pretty good as well as the bouillabaisse. The grouper was excellent, but the steak was just ok. Atmosphere is pleasant with seating outside, but it's important to make a reservation as it's a popular dining spot.

Would have been a 5 star experience but of course of all the couples enjoying thier Valentines Day night out , they loose our ticket in the back and we sit for an hour waiting for our meal . Now, granted it was great when the entree arrived everything was fabulous! We understand the circumstances but, what else would you write if it was you ?
No hard feelings .....

Extremely beautiful restaurant but the tables are really close so that's unfortunate.I got the baguette which was good and came out warm. I also get the bass which was good. The skin was crispy and tasty but the risotto was the star. The risotto was perfect and buttery. I had the In Love in Paris cocktail which was ok. The cherry in the bottom of the glass was yummy. For desert I had creme brulee which was very VERY yummy. The sugar shell was so tasty with the light and sweet cream. The sauce sauce on the plate was divine. Desert was definitely my favorite part.
Omar Tiflati
The atmosphere is really great and has that turn of the century charm to it. Although we know the French use butter to cook, here they used it way too much. Creme Brulee was particularly good.
Mahsa Moghaddas
Very good restaurant with tasty dishes. I remember I went to this restaurant in 2017, and it was a new small restaurant. But I went again in Jan 2023, and it has become a very popular and big restaurant. I think they deserve their success.
I went with a friend, I had the duck and he had Scallop. Both were very good. I tried the salmon tartar starter which was also good. The Berry Pavlova dessert was excellent. Their drink choices were also good.
I really recommand the restaurant.
Rebecca Ramey
Went here on a date night with my husband and we loved everything! The food was delicious and our server was excellent. I also had a lovely glass of rosé. We will definitely go back even if it’s just for more drinks and appetizers.
jeannette hansen
Every detail was perfect. Thank you for making our daughter and future son in laws night. He proposed there at the restaurant and they assisted in the planning to totally surprise her. Service, food, and professionalism was spectacular. It will be a forever memory.
Could not have asked for a more perfect place.
Santana McConnell
Beautiful restaurant with great food and service. I had the Crepes Josephine and my husband had the Seafood Bouillabaisse and we shared a side of Risotto. Everything was delicious and prepared to perfection. Our server Lara was so sweet and funny, we'll definitely be asking for her next time.
Molly Pierce
Visited here for dinner and I can easily say that this was one of the best meals I've had this year! The food was incredibly good. Our table ordered several appetizers to share and salads before our entrees. We tried the mussles, poutine and calamari. The poutine was sooo good but the close runner up were the mussels - the bread dipped into the garlicky mussel broth was very tasty. For my entree I had the Duck a L'orange and it was fall off the bone tender. Such a flavorful dish. I ordered the eclaire to go and it was the best eclaire I've ever had! Definitely recommend having a reservation.
Jamie Dye (jj384ev)
Very high class dining atmosphere. Steak frites appetizer was heavy and could have been an entire meal, but was wonderful to share.
Chicken breast entree with the ber blanc sauce and capers was super yummy. Cocktails and service at the bar was great too! I wouldrecommend, but plan to spend some $$.
Nicole Swart
Really enjoyed our meal. Food was great- I had french onion soup and steak frites. I'd recommend both. Finished with the lovely dessert you see in the pic. Our server was attentive and listened well.

Celebrated our 24th Anniversary here. We have come to the conclusion that this is now our favorite anniversary dinner date location!
We had the House Red Wine which paired nicely with everything; Parisian Cheese Dip, Salmon, and Trout Amandine. Desserts were a Chocolate Martini and Banana Fosters Crepe.
It started snowing while we were there and it added even more ambience to the evening.
Tierney Hopkins
Wow! What a wonderful taste experience. We came to celebrate a birthday (don't miss the spectacular complimentary dessert) and were impressed with the appetizers, main courses and desserts! The service was attentive and the pace was relaxed. A great place to enjoy good food, drinks and family or friends. It was a vibrant and lively atmosphere, even on a Tuesday. We'll be back for dinner again, or to sip delicious coffee, eat desserts and soak up good company.

Fantastic formal dining experience. Extensive menu with upscale dishes. Courteous and patient wait staff. Very friendly and helpful.
Noeli Hedman
I love going to this place the food is always great and the service is amazing i do recomend doing reservations before you go as it can get very packed specially on the weekends.
Regina Miller
Tanner our waiter was phenomenal. The food was delicious. Ben, the manager checked on us. We will definitely reurn.
KariAnne Froese
Always wanted to enjoy authentic French dining and tonight we did! Celebrated the beginning of my Bachelorette Weekend with some Charcuterie, French Onion Soup, Ratatouille, and the best Lemon Torte I've ever had!!
HG
Great food, great service! Thorough enjoyed our time for a late dinner. Highly recommend reservations!

While some of the entree dishes can be pricey, everything else beside the drinks is very reasonable. The overall cost for the quality of dishes is well worth it. George’s is a place to adventure out of your comfort zone. The waitstaff are very attentive and friendly, combined with the ambiance of George’s makes it a must-visit. Even the most simple of George’s dishes are packed with flavor from the creaminess of gravy in poutine with beef worthy of being a meal in its own right. In addition, the crepes descriptions don’t do it justice as the flavor pairing will make you wish you had a second stomach.

Another great meal and great night on the terrace. I love to come to Georges French Bistro. I almost have tried everything on the menu. Tonight I had the a dozen oysters that had a hint of sweetness and the fish Barramundi and risotto. The fish light and flaky was seared and crusted on the skin then sat on top of the risotto. Try the French 75 cocktail that changes color.
Silverado Nomads
This place is excellent.
I had the chicken paillard, and it was cooked to perfection. I'm honestly getting hungry again just thinking about it.
The staff were excellent as well. Checking at just the right interval to make sure our food and drinks were to our liking.
Another note on the staff, I saw one helping a customer by holding the umbrella for them as they walked out to their car.
Top notch.
Great dining atmosphere as well.
Would I come here again? Indeed I would.
Siv Shanmugam
Great food, easily one of the best French bistros in Wichita.
However, we were a big party of 40 and so the service took a long time. Had to wait about 2 hours before we had our salad served. Hope they can improve on this.
Douglas Eaton-Landis
Their scallops were perfectly cooked, and didn't have that metallic taste that most scallop dishes have. The service was very nice, unobtrusive, professional, knowledgeable, and made my family feel like royalty. I am absolutely dumbfounded that the scallops were perfectly seasoned, cooked, plated and served. They did not miss a thing. George's is a wonderful place, and I look forward to going back again.

NOTE: The place is very expensive and unfortunately, I don't think I will dine often because of the price point. However, I did not take off a star because I believe with the service and quality of the food, it was worth it. We were seated right away and our server was very friendly. After we ordered, the food did not take too long to get out to us (it was also relatively not busy so take that with a grain of salt). Sometimes you'll go to multinational restaurant chains and the food can take forever to come out and the quality can vary, but this restaurant is on par with the bigger franchises (albeit at a much higher price point). The plate they used is roughly 12 inches in diameter and the photos attached will show you the portion size that was provided with my orders. It's a really fancy place, servers were friendly, service was great, food was of great quality, and I was filled. Other than having a lighter wallet because of my trip here, I have no complaints.

Wow what a meal! I really enjoyed everything so much! The French onion soup was some of my favorite I’ve had in Wichita! The Brie cheese appetizer came out warm and quickly! Finally the main course was excellent I’m not a huge broccoli person but I ate every bite of the entree! Highly recommend! Our server Sarah was awesome!
Anthony The BeanChef
A birthday dinner for 3 kids finks to our parents. WOW!!! What am evening. Reminded of why I went to culinary school. Our server (appologies, forgot his name) was amazing. Didn't want for anything. He even showed me around & got me a wee tasting of a whiskey I hadn't tasted. He was great with the kids at our table. The food was unbelievably YUMMY! Seasoned perfectly. The mushrooms - yummmm. Could've made a meal out of those, with some seared seared bites. Wish I lived closer (& could afford it), I could eat there every night for a fortnight before making it through all the tasty menu offerings.
HIGHLY recommend!

We went there for our 19 year wedding anniversary. This was the first time being there and it was fantastic

My husband and I have visited George’s 3 times and we tell everyone we know about it! The service is fantastic, the food is great, and the drinks are BY FAR the best in Wichita. We live in Salina and love coming to Wichita just to visit Georges! Tonight we have the bartender Abby and she has been great both times we have had her serve us. The first time we came in (I feel so bad we have forgotten her name!) but she was a teacher and a bit newer to the restaurant at the time and she was also amazing. We will always come back, great place to dine and amazing atmosphere! Obviously everyone cares here, that’s very hard to find. Thank you for being here!

Great food and a rotating menu with the seasons. Felt like the process were a little high. We had a very nice and attentive server.

Our first experience at George’s was delightful. Haas(?) was our server and he was great. We enjoyed the atmosphere and our food was great. We had the special Swordfish and dessert. So good. Will enjoy a return visit. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

We booked a reservation a week ahead, on Open Table and wrote we were celebrating our anniversary. We arrived at 5:00 pm. The restaurant wasn’t busy yet. The hostess seemed a bit off and didn’t say anything to us celebrating our anniversary.
We were seated by a male waiter who poured us water and told us about the night’s drink specials. He told us we would be served by another waiter.
Shortly afterwards, our main waiter approached our table. She wasn’t quite as personable but she wasn’t awful. She came up and said, I think he told you our drinks for the night so have you guys decided? She didn’t ask us if we were celebrating a special occasion or how we were doing that night- like, the normal introduction from a waiter. My wife and I were pretty dressed up for our anniversary.
Anyways…
We both ordered steak frites and it was pretty tasty. The truffle fries were good. We ordered various drinks. We ordered the night’s special cocktail, a Manhattan and an Old Fashioned. My wife asked about a drink she saw on a photo that Georges French Bistro featured a few weeks ago but unfortunately, our waiter said they weren’t promoting that drink since it just depends on what the bartenders decide to make that night. So we took that as a no. We ordered creme brûlée for dessert. It was tasty.
Towards the end of dinner, a birthday party was seated nearby. Their waiter approached them and asked “Who are we celebrating today? We will make sure you have a special Birthday.” Our waiter definitely didn’t offer the experience that the people nearby were receiving from their waiter.
In conclusion, the food was good but to celebrate a special occasion, we probably wouldn’t return.
Patricia Wasinger
We ALWAYS choose George's for celebratory dinners and they NEVER disappoint!
The wait staff is most knowledgeable about wine pairing and presentation. Ordering from the menu is sure to please even those with the pickiest of appetites. But for those wanting a true culinary experience, the night's special will transport you and your taste buds back to France which is why you came in the first place.
The perfect meal to mark any occasion. Bon appetit!

This restaurant is the very best place to eat in Wichita. I would put it up against any French restaurant around. Everything on the menu is delicious. The poutine is unbelievable. The deserts are all delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to people who like high quality food at a reasonable cost.

Went for my birthday and had Duck for only second time in my life. I loved it which is saying something since I didn't care for my first duck experience. The berry pavlova was insanely good. I am definitely going back for more in the near future.the whole atmosphere is cute/quaint and reminded me a lot of being in Europe. If you like French cuisine I think you'll enjoy George's.
Ryan Hamze
Never been disappointed. Consistently excellent service, excellent food, great wine selection, great ambience. My go to for celebrations and out of towners. Not the cheapest but is definitely high value for what is paid. Top restaurant in Wichita, hands down.

I think this was the best meal I’ve ever had. Absolutely everything from starter to dessert exceeded expectation. The whole experience was a delight. Can’t wait to come back.

It was to be a wonderful place for dinner...however, my husband booked the reservation and I was impressed. This is not his usual fair. He doesn't get it or understand this cuisine. So, my experience was not as wonderful as it should have been. Wanting my husband to maintain confidence I stayed out of explaining the dishes...allowing the waiter to do his job...but he was uninterested in taking the time to explain what a few dishes were. Therefore, after about 10 minutes for my husband to google the dishes and him to decide we were ready...our waiter proceeded to ignore us though and put in three tables orders ( seated after us) before coming back to us...when we were clearly ready to order..then he ignored us most of the evening. Even then, We were not to impressed with the food quality and the $18 2oz. of cheese, 3oz.salami and bruised grapes with stems, asparagus and sliver apples- sampler came out with a small hair on it...which he (Jake the waiter) quickly removed when I stated, "oh my"! Not taking it away...we just ate around where the hair was...
For dinner I had the Brie and crackers because they were not serving a full menu that evening. The menu stated it was warm or hot...and it was cool enough you had to cut with a knife. I called him over and asked to heat it up..he said he would have to microwave it. Stunned, I said, whatever you have to do to make it right it! All in all, I will give George's another try...my friends enjoy the cuisine and I'm sure it was just a bad night for us.

I came here for my birthday for the first time around Vday. I'm celiac and have a shellfish allergy too but there were no worries at this restaurant! I could've cried tears of joy when half the menu or more could be made gluten free!!!!!! We all loved our food (duck, schnitzel, kids fried fish, kids grilled cheese) although it IS expensive but again, totally worth it. The server was fantastic, he gave us tips about the weather coming that night and made good convo when he checked on us. And.the.dessert!!!! The Pavlova is the stuff of dreams! The tables are crowded together though and the atmosphere is a bit plain on the inside and that parking lot is not as ample as one would hope. Avoid taking your truck. But if you're looking for a special occasion restaurant, this is it!!! Calling all celiacs too!!

Lucky that this in our neighborhood. A true gem of East Wichita. Get whisked away to Paris, you'll forget you're in KS. I have never had a bad meal, wine, or cocktail here.
Jacob Milburn
We absolutely loved eating here. The food was spectacular, the atmosphere was romantic, and the wait staff were generous and kind. We will be back many times!
Greg Rice
For appetizers we had the brie and calamari, both delicious. Entrees were steak frites and scallops. Banana foster for dessert. Our waiter was perfect.

Incredible food and service. I had the escargot, mac and cheese, steak fritts, and nutella crepe. Everything was amazing and very well made with great attention to detail. They even brought in a cake and sparkler for my wifes birthday.

It was a bit chilly sitting by the windows. But George's is always worth it! Elizabeth, our server, was very attentive and friendly and our food was delicious.
Linda Gray
My Granddaughter took me there for my birthday. Great food!
Jennifer May-Lyne
It's hard to get past the Wichita tap water smell if you order water instead of wine or spirits. And keep in mind it's room temp water at that. I was scared to ask for ice because the staff seemed so uptight. I admit I was outside my element so if you enjoy that type of atmosphere then you'll probably love it. Seafood Bouillabaisse was delicious. It had plenty of seafood and it was filling. Lyonnaise Style Pork had a nice crust but the pork was very dry. It's served with Truffle Frites...basically french fries with a seasoning. No sauces...maybe I'm not fancy enough but I usually like a dipping sauce for my fries. The best part of the meal was the most delicious French onion soup I've ever had. If it's on a menu I try it because I really liked French Onion soup. This soup was perfection. If I ever feel fancy enough to return I would return to enjoy more of this soup.

I ate here about 4 or 5 months ago and the food was absolutely amazing!! It is a bit pricey but well worth it!! Very upscale and yet still casual. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The service was excellent!! One of the best places I have eaten and I would highly recommend it if you're in the area or just want some yummy food with friends and family or it's a great date night spot!!.

For Wichita you can’t do better if you like a better choice of dining. The staff and service is great, the decor similar to a Parisian Bistro. The pace of the meal was pleasant. I’m not sure if it’s family owned but the menu is warm and casual but with a touch of class. The garlic escargot were very tasty and I found a new Chard from Lagrange I really enjoyed. The duck was a bit bland with little accompaniments but the butternut squash saved the day as it was really sweet and tasty.
Nunya Bizniz
There is nothing bad to say about this place. George’s has the best service team possibly in all of wichita, with no hesitation to substitute and accommodate. The food is splendid, and the fried potatoes alone is enough to keep me coming back.
Tahjzia Terry
We originally made a reservation for dinner at a later time however we couldn't wait. Who says you can't enjoy a delicious dinner at 3 PM? Excellent service! The food was divine and I enjoy being pleasantly surprised. Try it! You'll love it!
Stetson Young
Went here for a belated Valentine’s Day and the staff was extra friendly. I really appreciate the service. Our steak was a little overdone and they refired it with no issues and the second one was perfect. Would highly recommend.
Lester Terry
I want to open by saying that the food is phenomenal here and I wish I could rate them an 8 instead of a five. The flavor profile they have created here is the incredible! Our server Paige provided great recommendations.
Marina Duchesneau
Excellent restaurant with fantastic food, service and atmosphere! The beet salad with fried goat cheese was delicious along with the French onion soup!! Also for dessert the Nutella and banana crepe was wonderful! I’ll have to come back for the steak as it looked amazing. Would highly recommend!!

We loved the ambiance...This French style Bistro is Upscale and attracts an elite trendy crowd. The food had some minor issues, but Jake our waiter quickly corrected the ones we mentioned. All in All it was a pleasant Experience and we will return again when we have a full menu to try.

Actually went in without a reservation & they sat my lady friend & I down right away. Service, food & company was perfect. My friend & I felt very welcome & that's something you don't experience anymore nowadays. Don't think twice, JUST GO!

Good food, fun atmosphere and friendly waitstaff are the cornerstones of any good restraunt. Georges has them. My friend and I went for breakfast. I had a very good salmon omelet, lox btw in case you expect it to be cooked, and he had the Quiche Lorraine. They were nicely plated and delicious. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive and we ate outside on the patio. We stayed dry under the overhang, even though it was pouring rain. We will definately be going back again, you should too!
Matt Hughes
Outstanding steak. Bartender needs to learn some basic drinks like a captain and coke, but over the food and service was very good.
Julianna Klangos
My first time was tonight for my two year anniversary. It was beautiful and I actually love how busy it was. The service was quick and prompt. I ordered the charcuterie board as an appetizer which was absolutely delicious and for dinner my love ordered the seafood bouillabaisse and I ordered the barramundi, which had a delicious piece of sea bass over seafood risotto.
Kiela Ndione
OMG this was such an amazing experience. The food was delicious and I had a party in my mouth with every bite. The appetizers, Crepes, steak, truffle fries, desert and wine was all amazing. Today they had a special Lobster and crab crockets out of this world. I cannot wait to tell all my friends and Family. It was my first time but not the last.
Trevor Jessick
Atmosphere is nice. Went here for a date night and the place was PACKED so make sure you have a reservation. Service was great. Drinks were tasty. Would not recomendad the sea bass, but the scallops were great! Will definitely come back!
Jeffrey Doolittle
My wife and I had the best dining experience I've had since moving to Wichita three years ago. The service was outstanding, checking in as needed without being intrusive. He helped me with my wine selection, and have great ideas on meal choices. The food had amazing presentation, and even better flavor. We sat outside because the weather was perfect, and felt like the ambiance was very welcoming. I can't wait to return.

Great, casual dining experience! Romantic spot for dinner. Our waitress Shae was very helpful and attentive. Highly recommend!
Rhonda ChefD Dunning
Great food in an unassuming strip market. It was great! Nice ambiance and the waitstaff was amazing! Filet requested was finished in a -Pittsburgh style. They had a 4 out of 5 on the sear. In thier defense, it's hard to Pittsburgh and blue rare a 6 oz filet.
John Bordy
Nice looking restaurant, but the tables are crowded. I suppose that's not unlike many of the brasseries you see in Paris, but just a little uncomfortable here. We started with two appetizers, the escargots at $12 and the cheese dip at $11. The escargot was unnecessarily topped with a thick coat of cheese, and was served stuffed in mushroom caps instead of snail shells. Overall the flavor was okay, but not worth the cost. The cheese dip was delicious, but it was only accompanied by six tiny pieces of toasted bread. We ran out of toast well before the cheese, so some of our money was wasted. The escargots only came with three pieces of bread. It would have helped if George's offered complimentary bread with the meals, but they don't, which is puzzling for a French themed bistro charging high prices. Seriously, a dollar's worth of baguettes would make the entire meal more enjoyable. My main course was the bouillabaise, which was somewhat disappointing. The tomato based broth was okay, but there was only two pieces of fish in it. The shrimp were salad shrimp sized and the bay scallops were tiny even for bay scallops. A shrimp and a scallop fit in my soup spoon with plenty of room to spare. This dish was not a good value at $28. My wife's gran-mere chicken was unremarkable with a sauce that had an oily consistency and way too many garlic cloves in it. Our other companions enjoyed their dishes. One had the filet which was cooked perfectly and the other had the crepe josephine. Everyone who had the Parisien potatoes really liked them.

Love the Risotto with Fish, forgive me that I do not remember the name of dish. Love it and will come back again for just that Dish!

I have been here many times and I come back because this place is outstanding. The waiting staff are so nice, professional and personable. The staff/service is half the experience already at any establishment and George’s does phenomenal with their customer service.
The food is consistent, cooked perfectly every time. I have zero complaints and nothing but praises for the amazing team/staff/chefs at George’s.
Please check this place out you will not be disappointed! And for the people that left bad reviews on here, they don’t know a darn thing about this place. They are simply wrong!
I will always come back to George’s time and time again.
Holly
Wonderful service, the waitress was incredibly sweet! The food is delicious and the desserts as well!! Plus they look so pretty! Felt like I was in France 🇫🇷 I definitely recommend!!! …

Had a wonderful evening at George’s! Elizabeth, our server, was fun and knowledgeable. Her recommendations for wine and food were excellent. Steak was perfectly cooked and the Crème Brûlée rivaled the version served at Fortnum and Mason’s in London. Excellent experience in a beautiful setting.
Ali Davis
The food is absolutely delectable and the service can't be matched. The perfect traditional date night experience. The drink selection is spot on and the desert menu is worth saving room for. Highly recommend!

My wife and I have been here a few times and it never fails to disappoint. This go around 7/21 my cousin accompanied us for dinner, and it was the best service any of us have ever received. Our waiter Trevor was incredible, was fantastic with everything and very easy to talk to. The hostess who helped us was fantastic as well. The food was amazing as usual, the service was even better, and it was very pleasant getting to meet the boss / manager who was present. If I could give more stars I would. Thanks for everything guys!
Kylee Herman
Always have great service at George’s and fantastic food! My favorite is the Steak tartare appetizer and the scallop entrée.
Jon Pic
Very rich, very exciting cuisine. Went on a short lunch break, and ended up having a luxuriously long dining experience. So I probably should have researched the speed of the kitchen. But all in all, it was a great experience, but I should probably plan to come for a dinner where I have the time to really enjoy the experience rather than rush the staff.
Joe Uhde
Excellent overall experience! This was our first time here and I can say we'll definitely be back. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Food was great! Would definitely recommend!
Drew Steadman
Celebrated my wife’s birthday. They were very good. We had the escargot for an app. It was really good. I had the schnitzel style pork that was amazing. Wife had barramundi which she enjoyed. We also got some desert. Service was top shelf and we were taken care of courteously and professionally. Will definitely be back again. The drinks and food were very good.
Jonny Ben
Fantastic restaurant, you definitely get what you pay for.
First visit was a party of 2, second visit was a large party of 10! Both experiences were great, and the quality of drinks/food was excellent on both occasions.
Definitely my go-to place for special occasions, or when you want to splurge.
Tosha Alvarez
Very delicious and such a treat for our 10 year anniversary! We were very well taken care of and the food was so amazing!
Rachel Livengood
Amazing scallops and fingerling potatoes. We will absolutely be back. I believe the drink was Paris is for Lovers, it's the perfect fruity drink!!
Kacey Flanery
Fantastic food, service, atmosphere, all of it! ✨️🤌
Celeste
Dinner tonight was perfection. Bubbles, Côtes du Rhône, French Onion soup, filet au poivre (more perfect than it photographed), potatoes that were RIDICULOUS, and the crême brûlée. . . Amazing. Oh, and the baguette.
Parking lot, semi accessible entrance and restrooms, which are gender-specific. Great service.
I want to go back every day
Amberle Collins
I made my reservation 6 days in advance on the OpenTable app and had plenty of choices in seating times. When we arrived the place was very busy but the staff was quick on their feet to get us seated. Our server Scott was super friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu and wine selections. I got the Seafood Bouillabaisse and my partner got the Barramundi. I was overall very satisfied with my first experience at George's French Bistro.
Emma Jones
Truly the most incredible dinner we've ever had. From the impeccable service to the esquisite food and drink, I would absolutely recommend George's for any occasion desiring a perfect meal.
Brent Sexton
An awesome place to go for a anniversary or a birthday etc. Great food. Great atmosphere. We always love this place. There filet is great as well as there scallops. The creme brulee was fantastic! The service is very good.
Diana Hu
Great, chic, reasonably priced French bistro! My group tried the poutine, french onion soup, Mac n cheese, French dip, their version of salade lyonnaise, and creme brulee. The poutine was a bit over-savory, drenched in a slightly salty gravy, the salad was a bit under-dressed and needed a bit more red wine vinegar, and the creme brulee was a touch cold. Otherwise though, the poached egg was nearly perfect, the cheesiness of dishes was very cheesy, and the creme brulee topping was thick and crackly. However, these are minor overall, and we were able to sit and enjoy ourselves.
We were there for lunch on a Saturday, and stayed 3.5 hrs, and at no point did I feel that the wait staff looked at us rudely. They were not busy, but when we left, our table was the only one not prepared for dinner service. The decor and service feels fancy, and the delicious food walks the line between true french and still accessible to people not used to french food.
J.A Caldwell
A great meal and beautiful room. Service was excellent!
Emily Hoffman
Great food, great service! The duck was outstanding as well as every meal we had. The opera cake is to die for, if youre a coffee fan! They even had bottles of hand sanitizer at each table!
Jay Walter
Excellent atmosphere, service, and food! My wife's not exaggerating when she calls this her favorite restaurant in Wichita. The brie cheese appetizer is especially good, and I can also vouch for the Steak Frites and Trout Amandine. A delicious medley of flavors come together in each dish to tempt the senses and satisfy the appetite.
John Putman
The calamari STEAKS appetizer with orange sauce was delicious (six 3 to 4 inch long, 3/4 inch thick strips rather than rings). I had an apple ginger cocktail that was so good I had another, even though it was served in a martini glass that I usually find to be too skimpy. My wife and I both had the trout almandine that while good seemed merely dusted with almond powder (I have been spoiled on this dish by the sadly closed Anderton's seafood restaurant in Memphis, which lavished that dish with butter sautéed almond slivers). That along with the somewhat slow, though otherwise good, service kept this from making above 4 stars (I was served a birthday ice cream but the waiter misunderstood that we also wanted crepe suzette. When he didn't return we had to ask the hostess to put in that order; I found it quite good but my wife thought the crepes could have been thinner).
Curtis
The service is the headline here. Everyone was courteous and attentive and our waiter was very sharp. The escargot was tasty and the tomato soup was good. I got the bouillabaisse which left something to be desired, but the dessert filled that void nicely. The restaurant was busy and packed tight with tables and chairs. That would usually bug me, but the ambiance worked well and it wasn't uncomfortable at all.
Amy LeMaster
Went with a group of colleagues and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and food, I'm already planning to go again for date night with my husband!
Dionna Farbstein
Wow! I’m going to put George’s on my top five (5) list of favorite places in Wichita. Vanessa was so friendly, funny and helpful. I was happy to see an entire section on the menu named after my boyfriend until she so sweetly corrected my pronunciation of the word crêpe...
Jerry D. Voss
This is the place I will be taking my wife for our anniversary this year. The drinks are great! The Bartender puts on a good show. The poutine was the best I've ever had. Then the Seafood Bolognese,,, in sure I miss spelled that, lol. Packed with seafood and very good! For dessert was the Creme Brule which tasted like the freshest right out of the campfire toasted marshmallows! Easy parking, wheel chair access.

Georges, French Bistro is such a gem in Wichita. As long as I’ve lived in the states, this is the closest I’ve been, and in many cases has exceeded my expectations of receiving a full Parisian dining experience since my trip to France. The food is comforting, yet elegant. The wait staff is extremely attentive, but also accommodating of your privacy. Every detail within the restaurant is attended to. I went into the washroom and was blown away by the accommodations. I asked for coffee service and my waiter offered me 6 options. So pristine from start to finish. Such an amazing dining experience. You will never have a negative experience at Georges.
H Luong
Great food and atmosphere at this restaurant. The service was amazing. The wait staff was very attentive to your water and other needs .
The food was delicious and well prepared. The chefs really know what they're doing. The dessert was also very good as well. Make sure you have all our room in your stomach for these delicious options.
Jessica Mounts
Wonderful atmosphere, fantastic food and impeccable service. This was my first visit, for an early dinner. We enjoyed crepes and a ricotta dip, and topped off the meal with delicious coffee. Absolutely will return!
Brenton Schoenthaler
Absolutely wonderful! Came here for an anniversary dinner and were blown away by the food and service
Michelle Berrett
The food is fantastic. The presentation is beautiful. The staff is very friendly.
Carla F
There were many fine things about this restaurant. And we’d go again. But there was one thing that wasn’t fine. We each ordered a shrimp cocktail. Not to share one each. When it was brought to us we each got a shrimp. Yes you read this right my Husband and I were served one shrimp apiece. Come on! That is so stupid. So anyone wanting a shrimp cocktail better have a tiny tiny appetite.
Leah Custine
In the mood for classic French bistro entrées and appetizers? George's consistently delivers; don't pass on the opportunity to dine at this fine establishment the next time you're visiting the greater Wichita area!
Titi Bello
Had a great time there. The food was really good.
Kamara Cooper
Who knew you could get such incredible French-American cuisine in Wichita! Drinks great, small plates great and these 2 desserts incredible. I will definitely come back when I'm back in town.
Tracy Ruddle
Simply the finest dining experience I’ve had in Wichita… maybe ever. It’s transporting. New level service.
Kelly Miller
Incredible dining experience, the whole package was over the top, atmosphere, waiter, and of course the food was extremely good. Very warm feeling environment that has me ready for the next time. Probably one of my best dining experiences ever. Well Done George’s.
Dalton McNally
This place smacks every single time. Staff is always on point, just like the cocktails.
The food OH MAN, exceptional
Erica Lovett
My husband and I tried this for the first time on 4/9/21 and we were more than impressed! The food was amazing and presentation was bar none, the best we had seen. My husband rarely comments on dining experiences, and he also believed it was the best place we had been. I ordered steak and it was cooked to perfection. I feel the price and quality are aligned and everything was simply wonderful, including the staff. We plan to return for my birthday on Saturday the 1st and make it our special occasion restaurant.
Amy Nguyen
Food was good but service was ok. Unsure if it was because we went on a Friday night and it was busy. Unfortunate they were out of mussels though.
Shaneice s
New sea food menu. However as a new englander I will say the sea food was drowned out by the sauce. Sea food has a robust flavor on it's own. Sauce was amazing though....but over bearing.
Michael Doud
Of course, the food was great, Service was impeccable! We will definitely return.
Dave's Detail
My wife and I went here for her birthday recently
We absolutely loved it! We will definitely be back. We want to work our way through the whole menu! And the oysters were fresh, which is amazing being in the middle of the country. Service, atmosphere and meal were all on point.
John Herndon
One of the best spots in Wichita.
Luke Fitzgibbons
The food and service here are excellent. Everything we had was the best we'd ever had. Everything greatly exceeded our expectations. If I had to pick a favorite, the Brie puff pastry appetizer is probably the single best thing I've ever eaten, followed closely by the steak (I recommend the burgundy sauce) and opera cake.
Since my wife and I came here for an anniversary, there was a piece of chocolate on top of the opera cake which had "happy anniversary" printed on it
The dining room seats many tables but doesn't feel too crowded. It's also designed in a beautiful black and gold 1920's (ish?) style. I will definitely be coming back here sometime hopefully soon
I cannot stress enough how delicious the Brie pastry was
Bobby Larson
They know their stuff! Expertly crafted French cuisine with very knowledgeable staff.
Stephon Harris
I'm not from Wichita, but I came to learn about this place from my dinner date. Firstly, I loved the aesthetic and atmosphere. That being said, it was pretty crowded, but what can you do? It was a Saturday evening, after all. The appetizer and my meal were simply amazing (I of course ordered the Chicken Paillard)! Our waitress was also outstanding! For those traveling through Wichita, I highly recommend dining here!
Paul Dotson
We tried this restaurant for the first time several nights ago. After our collective first bites we asked one another, "Why did we wait so long?" Our table selected Seafood Bouilabaisse, Trout Amandine, Lyonnaise Style Pork, and Scallops. Each of us fell in love with our respective selections, yet each dish on the table was just as impressive in appearance and portion size. The well appointed decor and comfortable seating created a delightful setting for our evening. We were well cared for by our server who quickly telephoned to alert us of a forgotten sweater at our table. This restaurant is The Jewel of Our City neatly hidden down the street from the richly historic College Hill neighborhood.
Laura Burkholder
Chris, our server, and Ben our host were both fantastic! The food was exceptional, and any time we had a question about the menu or any possible wine pairings Chris was very helpful and informative. New favorite spot:) Best anniversary date ever<3 Thank you!
Joel Blessant
Had a nice meal . Really liked the poutine. The wait staff was excellent. It is worth a return trip
Darren Williams (fatmahomes1)
Best service and food in town hands down. I highly recommend. Tryin them. I always go for the daily special which isn't one the menu. But is difrent every day. And also ask about a wine pairing as they always know the best options
Matt McCandless
The crepes were phenomenal and the charcuterie board was great, too! Dessert was absolutely delicious!
Matthew W
The food alone gets this restaurant 5 stars but really you should go here for the service. I had one crêpe that was maybe 4/5 stars. I finished the whole thing but I know for a fact if I had mentioned something they would not have let me leave until I thought it was 5/5. Final tip, get the mushroom fricasse. The best side dish I've ever had.
Susie Smith
Everything was perfection and my out of town guests were very impressed.
lacey matlock
Went in to sit at the bar and have a late lunch and some drinks. It was a great time and the cocktails were delicious. Shout out to the bartender Jeezy!
Tina Peterson
One of the best meals we’ve had in Wichita! And top ranked scallops and steak of all our travels! This place made us feel like we weren’t in the ICT, which was the perfect feeling for ringing in the New Year! We can’t wait to go back for more wine & dessert, since we were too full to enjoy anything from their wonderful dessert menu because of all the delectable apps & entrees.
Sheera Shell (Megan)
Pretty cramped but for obvious reasons. The food is delicious, the staff are wonderful.
mila vi
It ok place with decent food and high prices. Food is not very seasoned .
Dory Hayes (Impact9)
Food was impeccable and service was stellar but the flies with the doors open (summer) was akin to fine dining in a dumpster. Not a place to take a first date unless the season was not summer. There are things you can do to control flies. Screens for one. Fly bait will also help. Last thing you want is to look over at your date with flies on their plate.
Karen Wheeler
Each person at our table ordered something different and they were all delicious! The service was exceptional! The place was clean and the staff very friendly! Highly recommend this place
MRS. FOLEY
True 5 STAR Experience. The wait staff is amazing. Food is to DIE FOR!!! Absolutely LOVE this place & cannot wait to dine in soon!
Sean Farris
Wanted to take the wife out for some good food and good drinks. Georges French Bistro did not dissapoint on either front.
Their waitstaff was prompt, helpful, gave explainations where needed but did not stray verbose or condescending. The service was excellent, especially given that the place was packed, I could only find 1 empty table in the entire place!
The Trout Almondine was friggen' amazing. Easily in the top 3 pieces of fish I've ever eaten.
And I can nor remember what they named it but their signature rosemary cocktail was also absolutely delicious - and dangerous!
Andrew Davis
Absolutely exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere is classy without being oppressively formal. The servers are attentive and helpful. But the true star is of course the food. I am yet to meet a menu item here that I haven't liked. French food may seem intimidating, but don't be afraid to be adventurous as the flavors marry well and compliment so you won't be disappointed no matter your experience. My personal favorite items are the crepe Diane, the Steak Frites, and the French Onion Soup.
Nedelina Metodieva
Amazing place. Food is excellent and cocktails are great!
Bob Morris
A little pricey, but worth it for a special occasion. The scallops were perfect!
Brett Landenberger
Elegant atmosphere with exquisite tastes. Each bite gets better. TIP: If it’s your birthday.... tell them
MJ Pauls
Wonderful food, yummy cocktails, amazing desserts, and marvelous service. Definitely great for girls' night or date night.
Cortney Traylor
The food is amazing! Service was great. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. My favorite part was the dessart. Beautifully plated.
Timothy Green
Ahhh amor….
I’ve eaten here a few times with the wife, and with friends, and just adore this, hidden in plain sight, gem. I recommend the oysters. Pretty big compliment saying good oysters in Wichita. A fine compliment to any dinner and theater night, or even better, just escape to the bar. Fine place!
Balkis Balkis
The food is delicious, the poutine is a must try!
Tom White Jr.
Great Food, Great Service, Great Atmosphere. One of the BEST restaurants in Wichita.
Kenneth McAllister
Great....I mean GREAT food I had the Seafood Linguine, (ask for extra bread the sauce you will want to dip your bread in).
Desert was good as well. the poached pears crepes are a must try.
Atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. On the pricey side, but well worth it!
I'll be back the next time in Witchita.
Jennifer Forshee
This is a really beautiful place with a lot of potential but they do need to work on some of the details. I ordered a Le Fleur Spritz (a French 75-esque drink). It was delicious but it was served in a giant white wine glass with ice cubes when it should have been served chilled in champagne flute. I also ordered the steak frites and substituted the entrecote sauce with the au poivre--the au poivre was very sweet and was more like a gravy than it should have been. That said the steak was cooked to perfection and frites were great! I highly recommend the pavlova for dessert. It was one of the best I've ever had. The service was fantastic, as well.
Amy C
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here. We arrived before Reservation time so we had an appetizer and drinks at the bar. Make the reservation. Very pleased that we did!
Dave Perez
The staff was friendly and professional. Our server was very helpful with suggestions and we went with her choices. We were not disappointed! Definitely will go again.
Mark Hazleton
Like walking in off a side street in Paris... Every dish was wonderful.
Mayra Lopez
cozy place, relaxed atmosphere. and the exquisite dishes. Great variety of coffee.

Cafe rico, platillos exquisitos.
Anthony-Joe Reshwan
Excellent service and amazing food. I have had multiple dishes there and every one of them does not disappoint. Great restaurant overall, one of best in Wichita.
Becky M
Food was good but on par with other nice places I've been, seating was packed, service was only ok and the bathroom smelled horrendous, like it was not clean. I don't think we'll be back, we have other favorites for this quality and cost of food that are more comfortable experiences.
Scott Auchterlonie
The prices are proportional to the quality of the food. If you are pinching pennies, you may not enjoy this place. If you don't mind spending upwards of $50 per person for an amazing meal, you won't be disappointed. The menu includes many gourmet and difficult to pronounce meals. This will delight the most brave food explorers. Even the least adventurous meal the steak frites is delicious. Save room for dessert and enjoy!
Doan Nguyen
Very delicious and staff is awesome!
Shade Hirons
Great service and awesome food. I was incredibly impressed with this establishment. The price was a lot lower as well than I thought which the food was very good. Make sure you get a reservation though.
Erica Ballard
Excellent ambiance and atmosphere. Service from Scott was excellent, food was exceptional, and the Opera Cake was on point. Couldn't be happier, except we were not seated until 8pm, while we had a 7:30 reservation. But our experience made up for the late seating. Can't wait to go back again!
Michael Rose
George's French Bistro cuisine and staff were awesome. They made my birthday extra special. We will definitely be back for fine dining. Thanks so much.
Bill Johnston
Wonderful food, great service. A perfect anniversary meal.
Gary
Cozy place with refined service, international menu. Perfect Tito's dirty martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives.
Very accommodating for individuals with certain food allergies.
Matthew Westhoff
Amazing food and experience, our waitress Lara was outstanding! Can't wait to go back!
Erich Dobler
They always knock it out of the park. I don't think I've ever had anything I didn't like here.
Evelyn Hare
Went to celebrate our birthdays together.
Very nice atmosphere and Jake was an amazing waiter. The food was very good but I felt a bit pricey.
Chris Morgan
Great place and food. Had a wonderful birthday dinner. Service was a little slow to start but we got there right when they opened but after a staff meeting and set up Service was very on point. Also if you follow my reviews you will see lots of 5 star ratings because if it is bad I don't review so moving forward will try to do better on reviewing all the places I go to.
Derrick Grant
This was my first dinning experience at Georges French Bistro and I was very pleased. The menu is very intensive with many options to choose from. The service was extraordinary, our server went above-and- beyond and exceeded my expectations. The wine, appetizers, entrées and desserts were perfect. One appetizer is enough for 2 people, even when ordered from the happy hour menu. I highly recommend the cheeseboard and poutine for appetizers, the fish and scallops were incredible entrees, and dessert was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion, especially if you want to celebrate a special occasion. The price is a very affordable, for the quality French cuisine that you receive.
Amanda Dassel
Best food in town! The Beef Tartare is amazing!!!
Trent M
Every single time we go to George's, it's a great time. Food is fantastic, atmosphere great, service excellent. No complaints. We love coming here.
Eric Ebron
Excellent restaurant with excellent service! Or waiter was Scott and he performed admirably on my wife's birthday... prompt and knowledgeable!
Kell A
Very good service. The food was good but over priced. They also have nowhere to wait for a table. If the bar is full and it was, you have just stand around I'm the middle of the tables. That said it was a pleasant experience.
Araceli Amador
I was a bit reluctant to eat out since I am in a strict autoimmune protocol diet because of a health condition, I found kindness and understanding in this restaurant they did adapt my meal to a compliant aip meal. It was a great experience for me and my daughter since it was her mothers day gift for me. I really appreciate this. I always have enjoyed eating out and not able to do it for health reasons has been tough. THANK YOU!!
Alan Huey
Lovely surprise in a Wichita Strip mall.
We dined at George’s last weekend to for a celebration with my daughter. The menu selections interesting and delicious. The service was friendly and prompt. There was a touch of French Canadian cuisine (Poutine) that we didn’t expect to find in Kansas. I ordered the schnitzel and it was great. I’m not a public health expert, but you could see the establishment had taken steps to allow social distancing in the seating. These steps evaporated at the bar though, with every seat full and people sitting shoulder to shoulder with strangers. One more thing: if you’re watching your sodium intake, don’t get the truffle fries. I found them inedible salty and can only guess they contained 3,000-5000 mg of sodium in that side alone.
Badal Trivedi
It was a great fine dining place. It is one of the best in Wichita! The atmosphere is great and fine dining! This may be one of two best fine dining in Wichita!
Kat Meadows
The food is absolutely phenomenal. The atmosphere is beautiful, but they definitely don't discriminate. I was not dressed up at all but they didn't treat us any different. Paige, our waitress was amazing and polite. I had the rainbow trout and it was by far the best fish I've had yet in Wichita. Highly suggest this restaurant and will go back!
Kapri Walker
One of my favorite restaurants in Wichita! Love the scallops, calamari, and steak w/fries. If you are into coffee like me, this place also serves some of the best in the area. I love the ambience in the restaurant and the service is phenomenal!
Nicole K
Went out on a date with my man tonight. This place killed it! The grand mere chicken was the most moist, delicious chicken I've ever tried..seriously! And the potatoes with it were so crispy and flavorful. We also got the crepe Josephine which was also very good and paired well with our chardonnay. The poutine was AMAZING..as was the French onion soup! The soup was probably the best French onion I've had. Then we got the Opera cake which was like tiramisu but better. Very filling, very good. And shout out to our waiter Ali who was friendly, attentive, and all of his suggestions were perfect! One of the best meals we've had in a very long time!
Danny Yun
In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Wichita. They always have two interesting specials to complement a great regular menu. The wait staff is attentive, striking a great balance with not being intrusive.
The atmosphere is a blend of casual and elegant that works.
The food is excellent, the chef(s) and their staff know what they are doing. Each dish is well crafted and seasoned, resulting in interesting flavors that are still familiar.
Their dessert is excellent. I believe they have their own pastry chef on site. Usually, my wife and I agree on a dessert to share, but at George's, we end up each ordering our own so we can share two.
If you're in Wichita looking for a place to take your date, I highly recommend George's.
~ $50-60 per person.
Chantelle Wallace
Highly recommend the poached pear crepe - it has the perfect amount of sweetness!
Lisa Geist
French onion soup + cinnamon Irish coffee = the perfect treat after a chilly farmer's market 😊 …
Charley Finley
The decor and atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Our server, Olie, was very courteous and helpful. He even surprised us with some birthday ice cream for my wife. The food was delicious and plentiful. Hey make sure you get value. We will be going for an enjoyable meal. Thank you Olie for making the meal event worthy.
Dail Hong
Everything I've had is wonderful. A+++ good food good service good atmosphere
Sarah Greenall-Sharp
Hadn't been since before Covid, but so pleased that they're as wonderful as before! We were on a sisters' get together and had a lovely time with great wine and food recommendations from the professional staff.
Brett Smith
Georges is one of my favorite places in town to eat. The service is impeccable and the food is great as well. We never leave this restaurant without kicking ourselves that we don't eat there more often! As always, I can't wait to go back.
Veronica Miller
Great service, wonderful atmosphere, superb food. Enjoyed the experience.
Delaney Jones
Delicious French cuisine and great atmosphere. Food is always delicious and dining room is clean as can be. I really enjoyed sitting outside. All the food was delicious and waitress was very friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a good French/euro meal, George's is the place.
Aaron Esping
Food was amazing, service was perfect. Highly recommend!
German Rodriguez
Very nice and polite staff. Excellent food, and delicious desserts. Very enjoyable meal.
Charlene Tanner
This place was awesome. Great service (by Paige) and terrific atmosphere. Husband had came here for lunch once and he suggested us coming. I ordered the French dip and it was wonderful. Tender, moist and delicious. I didn't really care for the truffle infused french fries. Could have substituted a salad, etc. Would come by in a heartbeat. Pricey but you get what you pay for. Charlene Tanner, Derby
Andrea Monarez
Perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion! The food is exquisite, I found myself cherishing every bite. The service is the best you'll find. The kind of place where they fill up your water and you don't even notice. I recommend making a reservation in advance.
Jean Keener
What an amazing experience. Fantastic food and service. We sat at a booth inside, and the walls were open to the patio. Best charcuterie and calamari we've ever had. Highly recommend the filet, baramundi, and schnitzel. The desserts were also marvelous along with the decaf French press coffee. Thanks to Noah for the great recommendations.
Jasmine Pena
Highly recommend! The atomosphere is amazing. I’ve tried nearly everything on their menu. All of it is amazing! Their staff is incredibly attentive and I can tell you from experience the managers and owner really value their customers. Treat yourself and have a date night here💕 …
Brendan L.
Top notch in every way & fits any occasion ~ from casual to formal
Geeanna T.
The salmon and macaroni are delicious! I loved every bit of the experience. The atmosphere is pleasant, the food succulent, and the staff quite friendly! We didn't have to wait long for anything to arrive. We enjoyed the charcuterie board; it had a variety of things to please everyone. Our group tried four desserts and all were fantastic! Try the bananas Foster crepe and eclair, you won't be disappointed.
Damiane de Wit-Guzman
We made a reservation for 20 at the last minute on a Saturday and showed up with 28 people. They were able to accommodate us and provide excellent service. Our waitress had a great attitude, upbeat and friendly. The staff worked well together to make things go smoothly. Food and service were top notch, I highly recommend George's.
Gabrielle B
I went last night for the first time and I was absolutely blown away by the service provided by our waiter, Scott! He was extremely quick, efficient, and friendly. The food was PHENOMENAL! The portions are large and the steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection! I will definitely be going back!
Ora Anderson
We came here for our anniversary and the food was good and presentation was great. It's a little pricey but we didnt mind since it was our anniversary. Service was exceptional. Be sure to make a reservation because does get busy. We came here for dinner and every meal was awesome! Several had the crepes and I had chicken. The French onion soup is worth trying. We wanted a light lunch. We ordered the charcuterie board, onion soup: and tomato soup. The flavors were all delicious!
Kristina Fraser
We are new to Wichita and looking for some good food. George’s did not disappoint! We went at 5:15 on a Tuesday, so I was skeptical because some places have sub-par service during early dining hours on weekdays, not here. Scott our server was energetic, kind, and gave us space but was available when needed. He explained the menu and French terms so we could understand, and gave excellent wine pairing recommendations. We had the mussels to start. For a landlocked state they were delicious. For dinner we had the scallops and barramundi. The scallops were crispy on the outside and melted in your mouth. The barramundi was the same with crispy skin while still being tender and juicy. The risotto with the barramundi was my favorite, creamy and perfectly cooked. For dessert Scott convinced us to try the profiteroles and they did not disappoint. The ganache was rich and well balanced by the ice cream and pastry. Definitely not an every day type of place due to the price, but we will definitely be back.
Sonya Jefferson
This was my first visit to the bistro. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. I had the beet salad with grilled chicken and the profiteroles for dessert. All the food had a great depth of tastes and the server was beyond helpful. I was also shocked by the reasonable prices. I will definitely be back. We came here for our anniversary and the food was good and presentation was great. It's a little pricey but we didnt mind since it was our anniversary. Service was exceptional. Be sure to make a reservation because does get busy.
Ariel Burress
Best restaurant in Wichita, hands down no doubt. Frequent visitor without a bad meal yet.
Sarah Freelend
Tonight was a very special occasion. My husband and I were celebrating our first anniversary together, and we went to George's French Bistro. This is by far the most spectacular meal we have ever had!!!! Our server, Carman, had no idea it was our anniversary, but was so attentive, kind, and had a warm smile every time he came to our table. This tells me that regardless of the occasion, the staff go out of their way to make it wonderful. Not only did he know the menu like the back of his hand, but he also told us about the specials in detail. The food was superb, and we left more than satisfied! We will definitely be returning!
Randy Lundstedt
Food was top notch and priced accordingly. Probably the best filet I've ever had. Service was also top notch. The waiters didn't hang around the table but you never had to ask them to refill your drink as they kept a close watch without interfering.
Lacy O'Malley
Excellent service, drinks, food, and company. What else is there to say?
Ryan Winter
This place can get crowded quickly so make a reservation, but the service is always excellent. They have delicious seafood, steaks, crepes and more. You can get a decadent dinner for a celebration or a light meal before going out on the town. Decor is on point, transports you to a classic French bistro (minus the cigarette smoke). One of College Hill's great local spots.
Punk nub
This is the best restaurant in Wichita. Don't go to that other place. Go here. The lunch menu is cheaper go for brunch and get mimosas. The atmosphere is classy but welcoming. The flavors are IN SANE. Prepare to be blown away. Order anything. Order everything. Get the parisian potatoes they are the best potatoes on the planet.
Pamela Willis
My husband got a steak and loved it. I tried the seafood bouillabaisse which was not my favorite dish ever -- but the creme brûlée made up for it! Service was great. I'm excited to go back on a less crowded night. Everyone I know who has tried this place is obsessed with it
Chris Euler
Georges offered a great environment for our group to get together. The wine and food was excellent and the service was attentive.
Karen Rogers
Beautiful environment, quality French Bistro. Top shelf service, food was superb in a way you would expect from a qualified chef. We did a little sampling of several things and loved all of it. This is not a place for shorts and a tshirt. Relax, enjoy the soothing music, drink some wine or a fancy cocktail and enjoy an awesome experience.
Luis Moncada
Price but it is worthy. Amazing food!!!
Frances Jacobs
The food was excellent, unfortunately sides are a separate charge, which can make a meal a little pricey when you want to try several things. But the fish was amazing, especially the caper sauce, and I love good fresh bread and the spreads for it were crazy good. I didn't realize it was an upper class/fancy place, and felt under dressed in jeans and a tshirt. Other than that, their customer service was excellent. George himself waited on us/brought things to our table, I'm assuming because the man who waited on us had a French accent.
ruairi lennon
The experience was unexpected. Good wine selection, pleasant french style cuisine which was cooked to perfection with a perfect blend of flavours. The atmosphere was very ambient, modern and sublime. Staff were very courteous. As an Irish guy not from here it was my first time here and was my birthday and they made sure to treat me well. After reopening recently due to the COVID-19 circumstances I was very aware of the good efforts they made to preserve social distancing seating and maintain sanitization from checking in to people departing leaving me to have no concerns.
Chris M
Always a wonderful time. They make celebrating extra special. FYI they're awesome with food allergies! One of our go to places for celebrations. They always make it special, the food is always excellent. Our favorites; muscles, steak frite (all the steaks are wonderful and the in house sauces), Mac and cheese, and opera cake.

Best food, and best service I have experienced in a long time. The food was amazing! The team work between management and wait staff is also fun to see. This restaurant is exceptional on many levels. A total team effort is what makes this restaurant so successful. You can see the pride they take in bringing their A game. The prices are more than fair. Big portions too!

Incredibly exquisite! The decor is rich with black & gold with a beautiful marble bar. We were there for brunch (not buffet)ordered off menu quiche Lorraine and eggs Benedict our friends had the Mac & Cheese, French onion soup and escargot. We tried the escargot and it was divine! Very rich with butter and cheeses. The quiche, incredibly delicious, with ham, carmelized onions on a light pastry crust, paired with Parisian style potatoes which are parboiled potatoes then fried. Heavenly. They offered mimosas and bloody Mary's, I hear those were spicy, so ordered a mimosa. Over all it was a wonderful afternoon with delicious food and ambiance definitely will return.
Jessica Avila
Our food was delicious! For our appetizer we got the brie cheese. I picked Duck a l'orange and my husband picked trout amandine for our entrees. Everything was outstanding!
Constancia Turkasz
This is an amazing French bistro located in Wichita, Kansas. Everything was good; from the appetizers, to the mixed drinks, coffees, entrees and desserts. I found service to be impeccable and will return again as often as possible. Everything was great. I highly recommended this place.
Ellen O'Loughlin
I had the grouper and a strawberry fields salad. This was the best fish I have had in years! Superb service at the bar seating.
Katya Frank
LOVE LOVE LOVE George's! Anything you order from here is AMAZING! Their sauces MAKE their meals spectacular! I have been trying to make my way through their lunch menu. Dinner can be a bit pricey, but lunches are reasonably priced. Also, on Saturdays, they have $5 bloody Marys and mimosas.
Shaun Carr
First time trying . Came here for my wife’s birthday. Beautiful in side and a wonderful staff . Very tight quarters had people behind me pushing into my chair and wait staff bumping into my chair while trying to get thru. Very loud , could not understand the conversation our table. . I was disappointed in my meal 6 small pieces of Steak a mound of fries and a little greens on my plate for 26 bucks . Very overpriced in my opinion. A special occasion place once every few years.
Merritt Logue
Food was excellent. Nice atmosphere, casual but chic. I noticed customers with french accents - good sign I thought. Perfect for a two hour lunch if that's your thing. Unfortunately, it wasn't ours the day we were there. I'll keep that in mind for next time.
Sandra Larson
First time for 4 of the 5 of us. They loved George's! Our waiter was excellent and extremely helpful with one of our ladies to find items without dairy. The food service was also timely and we were offered time to visit as we were celebrating a birthday. It was well worth the 30 mile drive to be treated like queens.
Dorothy Skelly
We eat at George’s several times a month. The service and food are always exceptional and professional. Abby, Hauze, Amanda and all others are very accommodating. Unfortunately some customers treat servers as people beneath them. It’s a shame. They are trying to make a living like everyone else. And probably work harder than any of us. George’s is an excellent restaurant with above average servers. Keep it up. Hooray for all of you.
Jane Bailey
Five star food and service. As noted below portions might be considered small but the quality and presentation is unlike anything I’ve seen since moving to KS a year ago. Scallops were fresh and served with just the right amount of deliciously seasoned fingerling potatoes. The upside of not having a plateful of starch is that there is room for dessert which is something that should not be missed. Last night was my first visit and won’t be my last.
L Unruh
Excellent French Bistro!!! They have fresh shipped in oysters, mussels, and other seafood. And they of course have superb traditional French cuisine. Good depth in their wine list and in their fine quality whiskey/ liquor selections. Also excellent service!!! If not happy, they'll fix it! I have been a weekly regular since Georges opened. A true treasure in Wichita!!!!
Troy Walker
An absolute hidden gem in Wichita! The staff was very helpful and courteous! The atmosphere and decor we're very nice. The food was delicious! The whole menu looked delicious but I will have a hard time departing from what I had last time because I enjoyed it so much. I guess that means we will have to visit more often.
Caleb Jewell
My wife and I went there for desert after eating elsewhere. We should have gone to Georges first and nowhere else. The food and desserts were amazing! They were busy but still made us feel as though we were the only people there. Fancier than what I am used to however, we felt very relaxed and comfortable.
Matt Pryce
Authentic and tasty French cuisine. The service was above average and very quick!
Annie Jones
We celebrated the boys' birthdays tonight. The staff are attentive and very friendly, and the food was absolutely divine. We can't wait to come back again!
Chris Garnica
This was our second trip here, our first one was during restaurant week. We had reservations and showed up a bit early, but they had a table and accommodated us. We like the high top tables next to the windows. We decided if we were going to make it through dessert, we would skip the apps. My wife got the special, which was sea bass on a bed of risotto. I opted for the seafood bouillabaisse and a side of gnocchi. Their house red wine is very reasonably priced and good. We had the crescent bread pudding for dessert. The food was exceptional, service great. Chase (I think that was his name) was social and funny. The food came out promptly, which was good since my wife was starving, but we never felt rushed. This is a quaint but comfortable place, but we were told they would be closing for renovations. I'm assuming they will be expanding into the next door suite. I consider this a hidden gem tucked away in a strip mall that everyone should try.
Zachary Martinez
When you walk into Georges the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The place is very clean the food is fantastic and the wait staff are truly the best. Excellent appetizers, steak, fish, desert, and coffee as well as a descriptive wine and drink list. This restaurant is one of my favourites in Wichita.
Jeffrey Woods
Favorite restaurant in Wichita. Food is amazing as is the service. A great experience!!
Mary Sendall
This is a beautiful restaurant with great food. The waiter was very knowledgeable and had good recommendations and had tried the food he was giving recommendations for. There was an amazing fried cheese that accented my salad. I enjoyed the meal but was glad I saved room for the dessert. George's is worth a visit.
Michael Jared (Mike)
Absolutely fantastic food! The ingredients were top notch and the flavors even better. We started with Parisian dip with crostini and jumbo shrimp cocktail. Both were delicious & extremely well prepared. I had the grilled cheese, which is unlike any other I’ve had! I had the goat cheese steak salad instead of the house salad. A very amazing meal. The salad included almonds, tomatoes and the steak was perfectly done at medium. The buttermilk dressing was just right for the salad. My wife had the crepes josette, and they might have been better than my choice. The balance of seafood with the mushrooms and spinach, along with the creamy sauce, melted in our mouths. Our waitress, Mandy, was absolutely awesome and timed the service of our courses to perfection. I read a review that complained about the portions. Absolutely untrue. Perfectly portioned. Go to an all you can eat buffet if you aren’t satisfied. On par with the Capital Grille & the Chaz Club in Kansas City. Don’t miss out on this gem!
Chris Chapman
Update: brought my wife here for her birthday, she absolutely loved it and the lamb was really good! The poutine is dream worthy! Scott was the pinnacle of a great server. Funny, accommodating and kind!
Amazing food and service despite being busy. Their Opera Cake is the best tiramasu dessert ive ever had.
Maddie Davies
My daughter, daughter in law and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner on Halloween evening. Our server was efficient helpful and "just right" with his attention. The house cocktail, the Black Widow, was not a fan favorite, but the chocolate martini was. We split a beet salad and one other. Two of us loved the bouillabaisse .
Jonathan Gearing
My wife and I went here with another couple, and our experience could not have been better. Every single dish, including appetizers, soup and main course tasted fantastic! I am thrilled that we have found a good quality French restaurant after moving here from the East Coast.
Don C. Railsback O.D.
Unique dining experience in Wichita. Service was outstanding. Haus, our waiter, was the best. Open air seating even when you are inside through large garage type door/ windows. Fantastic omelette. My coffee cup was never empty.
Erica N.
It was good food. I don't think my in laws were impressed by the escargot. Their calamari is probably my favorite so far in Wichita. It isn't too handicapp accessible in there. They have lots of tables and it's pretty tight in there but besides that it was a place to experience. Not infant friendly as there is no changing table.
Darryl Schmidt
It was our first time. Thoroughly enjoyed. Appetizers were amazing (calamari and charcuterie board). The wait staff was amazing! My wife had the scallops and I had the ribeye. Both excellent!! We were with a large group and everyone said their entres were superb. If any complaints it would be the noise level....but we all had a great time.
Jantera Lobya
We started with the mussels and frites app it was really good and filling. My wife had the beet salad with chicken which she said was ok nothing really special. I had the French dip which was ok it had a lot of bread and cheese but not a lot of meat. It was a pretty good lunch overall the app definitely stood out as our favorite of the three things we had.
laura bernstorf
Love coming here for a week night dinner or a special occasion. Great service and atmosphere.
aaron whiteside
Place really has a French corner bistro feel, food was absolutely amazing, and the food being delivered to tables around us assured us that we would be back to try other items on the menu. Clientele seemed a little upscale for my taste but I’ll eat a good meal in just about any company. Staff was awesome well informed and helpful with any questions we had about the menu or unfamiliar items, owner kept pace with every customer opening doors and offering advice, preferences, and info on menu and drink items. Will definitely be back.
Thomas de Groot
Excellent food, with minor exceptions due to over seasoning. Inconsistent service on this visit. Some things were done very well, but not thoroughly. For instance, the staff took all of the used silverware after the appitizer course, but didn't replace it before the entrees were served. Half of the dinner plates were removed when we finished dining and then it was another ten minutes before anyone came back for the remaining plates. Deserts and after dinner drinks arrived over the course of about ten minutes.
Molly Siebert
Absolutely amazing. Very busy during dinner time but worth the wait and craziness! We ordered the mussels, beet salad, escargot, parisean dip(the best part), and scallops. We actually ended up with too much food! I love visiting here when I'm in wichita.
Lynly Heiden
The food was amazing! My boyfriend and i went for our anniversary. Our waiters name was Scott and he was an absolute gentleman! The atmosphere was amazing They made or experience fabulous and we will go back again.
John Sobonya
I love the food 🤩 The service is amazing. One of the best restaurants in Wichita. One issue, it was very loud last visit. One table was the main problem. The tables around us actually started apologizing to each other and one left , skipping desert. …
Rusty Page
If you are looking for a place to take your favorite someone, Georges French Bistro fills the bill! Not a cheap date, but a full-on, impress your significant other with elegance, style, and gourmet food. Service is refined, professional, courteous, and helpful with any menu items that require more information. A menu that offers everyone a find selection to fit her or his tastes, from steaks and seafood to chicken and crepes. Crepes, the almost forgotten (in the USA at least) art of French cooking. This is impressive romanticism at its finest. Our food was not just excellent, it was superb, delicious, and satisfying. Portions are not large, leaving room for one of their signature desserts. The Crème Brûlée surprised me with its subtlety, unlike some I've had elsewhere. This is the finest I've ever tasted. The opera cake is decadent! Again, subtle flavors that melt in your mouth! I have eaten in many fine restaurants in my 71 years. This is one of the finest.
Rebecca Gehrer
Oh. My. Goodness. I almost didn't get the seafood crape but our waiter talked me into it and I'll never forget it! It was absolutely one of the best meals I've ever eaten out in Wichita! I'll be back for sure.
(Side note: wish they wouldn't cram so many tables and chairs in the place)
Tina Huynh
Scallops were amazing. Atmosphere is very beautiful. Drinks are pretty good! Appetizer wasn't as good though. Will return again for the dish.
Cheryl Casamento
Always the finest food, service, cocktails, menu and specials! Don't let the location fool you...a hidden gem in our fair city! Matt behind the bar, and Haz at the table, you are in superb hands!
timothy harrington

The service and the atmosphere are exceptional. The energy in this quaint neighborhood restaurant yet very happening spot is unlike any other in Wichita. The food has always been amazing and it's definitely the restaurant to go to when you want to have a classy evening :-)
Chris Platzer
The food was excellent, but our waiter really made our night! He was engaging, and took time to help us pick some great wine, entries, and desserts. Best service we have had in a long time!
Douglas Terhune
Nothing else like it In Wichita. Reservations are a must. French style food in a very upscale setting. Not cheap, but not overly expensive. The owner is usually working the room going from table to table making sure your meal is good ( great ). A wide selection of dishes to choose from. Grand Meres chicken is my favorite. Expect a very European experience#
Cindi Clark
Our food was amazing. Noah our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. It's a little pricey but well worth the money. Had a wonderful time there
Tess Arnoult
Great dinner and drinks at the bar. We went without a reservation on a Friday evening, because the first place we tried didn't serve us. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My only small complaint was my steak was cooked a bit more than requested. Everything else was excellent.
C N
Went for a mid-week date with my husband and was hoping for a romantic atmosphere since we were without kids. While the interior was decorated nicely, we were disappointed in the seating. We were seated at a two person table next to a window, and the tables and chairs were crammed so closely together that many servers had difficulty walking through to deliver food and patrons could not get up to go to the bathroom without turning sideways and shuffling through. The man seated next to us even asked to be moved to a different spot since someone’s chair was literally backed about one foot away from his table. There were also several flies (insects) flying around and landing on our table throughout the meal. I’m not exactly thinking that a fly swatter should have been brought out (haha), but it did put a damper on the experience. The food was tasty and enjoyable, but we discovered on our receipt that there was a $4 plus upcharge for splitting two entrees (the steak salad and an order of crepes). This was not disclosed by our server, but we did not contest it. I will also suggest making sure you have plenty of time since it took about forty minutes for our food to be delivered to our table.
Kim Garnica
I love to try new places but that's over now that I've found George's! This will be my go-to for all occasions. I haven't had a bad dish yet and everything on the menu sounds amazing. Favorites so far are Parisian ricotta spread for an appetizer, steak frites as an entree and croissant bread pudding for dessert. Food and service are extraordinary!
Rachel Miller
We love Georges especially for the ambiance and charm. The owner George is amazing and loads of fun to be around. He cares about all of his customers and makes them feel special. The food is good. This place makes for a great date night or place to take clients to.
Josh “Neropath” Mccormack
Very good food. Exactly as described in the name. Is set up as a bistro not a full menu dinner establishment. If you want an amazing lunch then this fits the bill. Wish the oysters were more readily available, but understandable with the seasons.
Janae Zalaznik
French onion soup was AMAZING! Soft shell crab sandwich however, was too greasy . Husband had the etouffee special and he really liked it. Too spicy for me.. service was great! Id go back for another try.
Mark B
Decided to pull off the Interstate and get a bite to eat in downtown Wichita when I came upon a miles-long traffic jam, on my way back to Denver from Tulsa. BBQ place I intended to visit was closed, so I did a Google Maps search for alternatives. Happened upon George's, decided to give it a try, despite being farther than desirable from interstate.
WELL worth the trip. Elegant room with a Parisian feel. Though I was dressed for the road and not an evening out, they welcomed me congenially.
I have spent a lot of time in France, and have never had better "Steak Frites" there than at George's. Excellent beef, quite flavorful and tender for the cut, perfectly "a point" (medium rare). Their version of the sauce served by the popular "Relais d'Entrecote" chain in Paris is much better. Bordeaux by the glass I paired with the steak was excellent. Nice young kid who served me needs training, but service was fine.
Matthew Aston
I would place George's as one of my top five favorite restaurants in Wichita. Perfect for a classy, date night. Everything we tasted was delicious. The seafood was fresh, the homemade crepes were excellent, and the desserts (creme brulee and tiramisu-type thing) were to die for. To be clear, if you choose to eat here, be prepare to drop some cash. :-)
Dail Hong
Wow! Wonderful food. Wonderful service.
Nathan Spriggs (Nate)
Great drinks and great atmosphere.
They have one of the best happy hours in Wichita.
John Koppenhaver
Really excellent French cuisine. The menu selection is extensive. I have yet to have a meal I did not thoroughly enjoy. The prices are moderate and well worth the quality of food you get. The service is excellent. A must visit in Wichita.
Corporate Services
The best restaurant in wichita. The oysters were the freshest i have had in the midwest. Food was outstanding. Service and staff were what would be expected at a high end new york City establishment. Significant other and i shared a birthday dinner here and staff was aware treated it with class but also acknowledged it with the subtlety that enhanced the evening. If you have not dined here. Strongly advise you do.
Jeffery Benjamin
It was our second visit to this wonderful neighborhood bistro and I was impressed once again. The atmosphere is lively, the drinks are unusual and delicious, the food is incredible and the service was fantastic. All of those things combined with crazy reasonable prices makes me wish it was closer than three hours away. If you visit Wichita, put this on your list of must-visits.
Barnett Cardin
An incredible all-around experience. The space is simple yet elegant, and very comfortable with plenty of room between tables. The service is professional and respectful, yet very approachable. Our server, Emily, was attentive and helpful. Her suggestions seemed genuine, not rehearsed. Every part of our meal - brie, crepes, salad, entrees, dessert - was just wow.
Nick Hammel
This was our first time to George's and it was absolutely amazing! Our waitress was Holly and she was an absolute peach! Not only was she very informative about the menu and able to make us recommendations, she was funny and charming as well. The food arrived promptly and we quickly found out her recommendations were as exquisite as she described. As I told her, I would give a sixth star if I could! Tres magnifique!
Mordecai Laroche
The restaurant is bright and cheerful in a very classy style. Full selection of liquor beautifully displayed from hanging shelves. Very comfortable chairs with cushions I could sit in for hours, which is what we did as we enjoyed a leisurely lunch with wine and dessert this week. A very extensive lunch menu including egg dishes, sandwiches, crepes, hot entrees, and soups. Also a side menu of specialties like the truffle fries and Parisian potatoes, both of which were excellent. I had Crepe Josephine, great flavor and ample portion. For dessert I had the chocolate torte that comes with fruit and mouse. Dessert was large and rich enough for 2. Other members of my party raved about their meals; bistro burger, chicken pollard entree, croque monsier, and french dip. The restaurant has capacity to seat outdoors in the summer months which would give you even better opportunity to replicate Parisian café feeling. I know I’ll come here next time I’m in Wichita.
Zachary Rasmussen
My wife and I always have amazing food and amazing service. We love coming here when we can!
Vanessa Johnson
I love the decor here - the style is art deco with black walls trimmed with gold stripes, orb lights, white marble top bar, black furniture, and gorgeous old brass racks for the alcohol bottles. And the food is incredible - well seasoned with large portions served by an attentive staff. Tres bon!!
Steve Dixon
The food here is incredible, service is very good. Desserts are well worth the extra calories. Strongly recommend reservations for dinner on the weekends. French onion soup is tremendous.
Rocio del Aguila
Absolutely perfect! Best onion soup ever!! The dessert was a big portion and we were extremely satisfied.
Patti Farrar
Scallops were delicious!!
Bouliabaise was fabulous!
Pork, steak and snapper were less than par. Steak was over cooked and sauce was absent. Snapper was dry and so was barley/risotto side.
Desserts and wine list were excellent.
Atmosphere and decor were right on!
A few food tweaks and you'll have an A+ bistro!!
Jeff Gardner
Yep, it was that darn good. Five stars. I got rack of lamb and it was great. In typical French restaurant fashion, it was slightly I over priced but not hideous . Bob, the bartender was fantastic. Actually, the service at the restaurant was amazing. The owner must not make any profit because they have so much staff...all the money must be going to payroll. The end result is that there were three bartenders when most restaurants of a similar size would have one. Superb service.
We got some shrimp and some kind of bisque with it for an appetizer . The shrimp were over sized jumbo gigantic and a couple were tough but seriously, who cares . The bisque was a m a z i n g and to die for. Hell, we ordered extra bread to lap-up the bisque . The restaurant can make that bisque and bread an appetizer in-and-of itself . We also got some olive oil with ricotta cheese . It was good. Not amazing but very good. I mean, I'd say it was amazing but the bisque with the shrimp put it to shame.
My date got muscles. She got some beet salad with it and it was all excellent. I heard zero complaints from her. More over, she exclaimed how amazing the bread was and also the broth with the muscles were fantastic .
Of course, we got dessert, too . Profitoles.... Or however it's spelled. Yep, that was amazing .
Truly, the bread was the winner but the service is what made the ambiance so amazing.
I'd recommend this place for anyone.
We also got two glasses of Riesling wine .
We dropped about $120 on all of that .I always hate it when people don't actually give meal costs.
M C
The trout was outstanding! Good atmosphere. Server was very good, but they forgot our drinks and that took forever, but then they gave us coffee and an eclair to make it up to us. I'd recommend this joint.
Billie House
I had the best crepes and bananas foster that I have ever had here. The service and atmosphere made me feel like I was in an upscale yet slightly relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely be revisiting this little slice of France in Wichita.
Liz Sadler
I had Sunday lunch with a small group of friends. We were all very impressed with our meal – delicious and more affordable than I expected ($10-$18 for a breakfast/lunch entree). Great service as well. BEAUTIFUL atmosphere – attractive and classic without feeling exclusive.
Ron Diel
Delicious food and excellent service. I really enjoyed my Lyonnaise-style Pork and ordered an extra side of fricaseed mushrooms-heavenly. Atmosphere is cozy and not too noisy.
Christian P
The Steak Frites Au Poivre was fantastic. Serving size could've been better but it was fair for the quality and price. Took my meal to go so I can't speculate too much on the location itself but I will definitely be back to try other menu items.
Jeffrey Holloman
Outstanding - any self-respecting gourmand would be quite happy with the George's experience!
C Lippert
Joseph the server was excellent to serve the scallops, trout, muscles, salmon and opera cake and lemon tart! We are going back again and again. AMAZING.
Benjamin Eldridge
Oh man. Wife and I went in for our anniversary. Service was spot on and the food was excellent. Get an eclair. We can't stop cussing about how good those things are. Grabbed one to go. I will have dreams about those desserts. Thanks for ruining all other desserts. We'll be back soon.
Logan Harrison
They remodeled. The prices went up a little, but it's worth it. It may be the best restaurant in town. The servers actually know how to make a wine recommendation. So that's neat. Get the steak frites or the scallops. Or something else, it's all awesome.
Samala Allison
Food and atmosphere is amazing and decently priced. Cocktails a bit on the pricey side, but the food is very reasonable for nice portions and excellent taste. The decor is very classy black and gold.
Mark Edens
Very nice and clean place. The food is on the high price side. Service is great. A little too bright to say it's cozy. Better at night time. They do need some green plants inside too offset the black and gold decor.
Christopher Mazur
This unassuming fench bistro is a hidden gem in Wichita, KS. It is located in a strip mall, but dont let that fool you. The decour, drinks, food and ambiance is something you would find in a much bigger city. Although prices seem a bit high tk the uninformed the food is high quality and good value for the price. I would recommend it for any fancy date night, or special occasion.
Our server Jake knew his craft and was on point. We will be back.
Shaunna Grace
The food is AMAZING everything was excellent. The Chef is top notch, you cannot go wrong with anything you choose. If you are in Wichita Georges is a MUST!
Aube Vigneault
The three of us ordered a bottle of wine that was delicious. We each got a side of the lobster mac and cheese which was as good as you would expect (very good) and I then ordered the firecracker cauliflower which was amazing. Another friend got a flatbread and the third got the poke. All of the above hit it out of the park.
Shelly McCray
Very nice! Food was very good, But not as great as the last time we were there. Parents enjoyed the anniversary table firework dessert. So fun.
Amora Ramirez
SO GOOD FOOD AMAZING AND STAFF IS SO KIND
Chandra Wenke
Wonderful food and atmosphere. Great place for lunch
Amy Ramirez
Amazing food, wine, and service! I can't rave enough about this place! The atmosphere is quaint and cozy! Perfect place for a date night or special occasion. The Bananas Foster Crepe for dessert is a MUST!
Aaron Fisher
We always find occasions to celebrate by using George’s. The remodel looks AWESOME and the food is delicious. They’ve also added a sommelier recently so you know your wine selections will be on point!
Chris Crow
Celebrating with my girlfriend on her birthday. The food was delicious and the service was great. This is a very clean and classy place and has a very relaxing atmosphere. Definitely will be back to enjoy more of their delicious food!!
Phillip Roenne
The burger I had was great. The fries were a bit over season with the truffle. My niece didn't care for the seasoning cause it was over power. The chocolate moose was great for a small bit I had.
Carol Cumberland
To go orders can be skimpy. We have been there at least three times and it was all good-the food, the staff, the price. However the same salads when ordered for take home were much smaller and despite the to go prices posted on the website, we were charged more. :(
Stephen M. Woodburn
Take note of happy hour, 3-6 pm, seating at the marble surface bar. I highly recommend the poutine from the aperitif menu. My partner wanted crepes, only available on the regular menu at regular price. The Pink Lady seasonal cocktail was a little froufrou for my taste, but the subtle flavors are a welcome burst of summer on the palate. Also worth noting, Chimay ON TAP!!
Lindsay Brimmerman
Alex our waiter was exceptional at recommending the perfect entrees to both my husband and I. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was hot and delicious! I loved the atmosphere and whole experience!
Traci Bradley
Fancy and delicious! Everything I've tried I loved.
Susan W.
The food and service is wonderful at George’s! I love the seafood crepes, and the servers are always very knowledgeable regarding menu items, drinks and wine selections. I highly recommend this jewel of a restaurant!
Mike Jennings
Had our annual company party here, food and service was excellent! I had the ribeye - it was cooked and seasoned perfectly and was extremely tender.
D T
The waiter was very accommodating. It felt like he was reading our mind. The food was phenomenal and the decor was sleek and inviting. It's a nice place to have a date or be with friends.
Chris Foster
Celebrated my birthday there. Did not disappoint! Mussels and fries were divine! Could've had that as my meal. Special was shrimp with goat cheese ravioli. Very tasty!

Great food, great service. Atmosphere was lovely!
Emily Forsberg
Our experience at George's was phenomenal! The food was excellent and the service was fantastic! We racked up a mighty big tab, but the value was on point. We will definitely be back :)
Ericka Chappelle
The Grand Marnier chicken is delicious and our server was awesome! 👌 …
The WhiteHouse Bakery LLC
The food is excellent and the beverage menu looks to be as equal. The service was pleasant and top notch. When inquiring about an espresso I learned the brands of coffee selections did not rise to the level of the rest of the experience.
Gretch Newberry
Fantastic! Waiter could of been little more attentive. For sure would like to go back. Reservations I feel is for sure in order
Richard Baker
My wife and I just happened to stop by this place and grab dinner after working out and we were really impressed with the food and the service. We also had dessert which was fantastic. Anytime we have guests in town this is one of the few restaurants we always take them to. Must try!
Rachel M
Our server was excellent and the food was out of this world. We could have easily made a meal out of the appetizers. The puree with the duck is incredible and very addictive.
Colin “Colin Chase” Wellshear
Perfect for couples :) ! Don't forget to make a reservation if you're going on a busy night.
Chirstin Kolich (Riley)
Definitely recommend. Good food and great service. Very clean and a beautiful place to have a date night or celebrate a special occasion.
Robert Heath
A great place to come for dinner- one of Wichita’s finest! You won’t regret it! 5 stars!!
Rachael Carrell
After several people recomnended George's I went with a friend on a Wednesday night. From appetizer (brie in puff pastry) to dessert (creme brulle and eclair) the food was outstanding. Service was impeccable. I will be back!
Eric Williams
Had a great experience at Georges. Started with the escargot appetizer which was as good, if not better, than the escargot we had in Paris. My barramundi special was excellent as well as my wife's entree. We had the ricotta honey crepes for dessert which were good, but we wished we would have gotten the creme brulee instead.
Georges is probably the best, if not the only, place where they really aspire to bring traditional French fare to the heart of Wichita. If you are a foodie, don't miss it.
Tony Wilhite
Absolutely love this place. Attention to detail is important and they hit the nail on the head every time. The food is excellent, the staff are excellent. The only complaint is I live too far away.
Tindel Jennison #2 (TJ)
I thought this was a good place though quite expensive
I have eaten here several times
sirloin steak has been excellent
waiters very good
But...
today the waiter brought the wrong order, the correct order, sirloin steak was not cooked, sent it back to the kitchen. when and was tough...
got the tab and was charged for both orders the waiter did correct this
not long after eating, I had very bad indigestion
I probably shall eat somewhere else in the future

We had to wait for almost an hour to get our food after ordering and it was 12:30 in the afternoon right in the middle of lunch on a Friday. Not to mention the waitress told me that their menu was out of date and they did not make the dish that I wanted. The food was good once we got it and the waitress was very nice and accommodating.
Joel Hayes
Service was out of this world impressive!! Food was amazing. Will go back again!
Darren Murphy
Great venue, great service and great food. It was a good experience and good value. I would make a suggestion: The back-staff needs to turn down the music and not make additional noise for customers (ie: wrapping silverware in dining area).
Jonathan davis
Mediocre at best. Prices were steep for what they were serving. Who drinks coffee out of glass? Who knows. I'm probably ole school. At least wife had a blast. Their birthday firework was decent enough. Wont go back though.
Josh Ruiz
The absolute best place in Wichita for true fine dining. Our host was fantastic made sure we knew what everything was and even suggested some of her personal favorites as well great place for an outing.
K.P. “Kyler” A.
Georges has a true European vibe. The entrees are delicious and there's no feeling of being rushed. This is a great place for a group or a date to hang out, have some food, and enjoy some cocktails. It's great!
Vivian Shay
Good food, fun atmosphere. Food was a little blan but would of been what I got.
Bret Stearns
Appropriate portions with a quality that is well worth the expense. The staff are accommodating and friendly. If compared to my experiences in Canada and France, these are true flavours.
Sadie Bacon
The food is amazing!! We got the Poutin for an appetizer & Chicken Paillard for the entree, as well as, 2 of the drink specials for the night. No complaints whatsoever and the service was great as well!!
P Fry
The food here is some of the best I’ve ever had hands down! There may be a wait, but well worth it. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Be sure to make a reservation!
Tiffany Schlemeier
Stellar service makes Georges a real stand out! Food is exquisite, too! Trout Amandine and scallops were superb! Wait staff is knowledgeable, friendly and professional! Will definitely be back again!
Kevin Hoover
Ate here last week. Had the steak and three bottles of wine! (With family) highly recommend if you’re wanting some fine dinning in Wichita ks.
Sara Cherkaoui
Absolutely delicious!
I am a huge lover of French food since I grew up eating it and I have to say George’s takes the cake every time! If you haven’t tried them yet, you must!
Mike Wohler
As always George's never fails to impress!! Wife's birthday was no different!!
Luke Stehr
It was an excellent experience all around! Scott was our waiter, and he was attentive without being overbearing. The food is incredible, and was well-cooked and well-seasoned.
LISA WOOD
Very nice anniversary dinner. Had the scallops with Brussels sprouts hash. Scallops very nicely done but the hash was way too salty from the bacon. Husband had the trout and was very pleased with his dinner.

Great food. Didn't settle well though as I had seafood and in case you didn't notice Kansas is pretty much as far away from the sea as you can get, and it unsettled my stomach.
Lesson here is when in Rome do as the Romans do. When in Kansas eat land meat.

An annual meeting introduced me to George’s French Bistro catering. When a friend asked me to meet her at George’s for lunch, I was thrilled to finally tryout the restaurant itself. I anticipated my visit as the catered meal impressed me.
I arrived early so I could read over the menu as I sipped my coffee to get warm from the cold. Everything sounded wonderful. I immediately slipped into remembering my meals at the French cafe and bakery in Harajuku, Japan.
To my delight, George’s served Croques Madames. My favorite French lunch.
I intended to take a photo to share with my children since they enjoyed our trips to Harajuku and the cafe as much as I did. However, one bite and I got lost in eating this delicious sandwich. It tasted as good, if not better, than what I remembered enjoying in Harajuku.
My friend had a crepe which she confessed she had ordered before many times since she liked it so much.
In addition to the wonderful food, everyone treated us as if we visited their home. They continued to serve us water and their tasty coffee while we talked for an hour after completing our meal. Very friendly.
George’s exceeded my expectations. It has become one of my go to restaurants in Wichita. I look forward to tasting more of their entrees.
Michael Kline
I just love the staff and the food here. However, it loses one star because of the noise level. I found it difficult to carry on a conversation with the person sitting next to me. In the restaurant's defense, it was a Friday night, but there are simple things that can be done to really cut the acoustics.
Sheena Youngers
Exceptional food and service in a lovely environment. I highly recommend! It’s a wonderful treat for a night out.
Mick Burke Realtor
After traveling the world and being a chef I am foodie AF. George’s is a great find while traveling through Wichita. It’s so delicious I may come to Wichita just to eat here, I mean there’s nothing else to do here might as well eat some 5 star Mussels and Fritted or OD on Confit. Brilliant!
Matthew Nichols
Had lunch at Georges and it was wonderful. The duck confit benedict was absolutely amazing minus a minor technical element. The poached egg was slighly undercooked. Aside from that, every element on the plate was phenomenal. The flavor of the duck was rich and deep, and the truffle frites were delicious. I will definitely be back to try dinner. Ive certainly found another restaurant to add to my regular rotation!
Tyler Dixon
Good food. Was super busy. Outdoor dining options. Try the dessert menu! Crepes are great!
Ethan Kossover
Very good tasting food. Nice menu selection and lots of unique flavors. Service was good and staff was helpful and friendly.
Jacob M
Excellent food. The cheese dip was outstanding, and the fried goat cheese on the steak salad was phenomenal. Chicken entree was also excellent. Wonderful service as well!
Mitchell Peek
Have had two absolutely wonderful dining experiences at George's so far. The food is incredible and the wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly. A true Wichita gem.
Noël Estes
Delicious steak frites and au poivre sauce. Upscale, bistro atmosphere. Fast, courteous service. Enjoyable outdoor seating in the shade.
Brock Patterson
Great service tonight! Scott was spot on with taking care of our table. Thank you. Will be back again. Also: largest & best scallops I've had in Kansas.
Pamela Buss
Wonderful food, fantastic service!
We came in 10 min before close & were treated as if they had just opened. Wow! That was really nice. We'll be back!
Bruce Colbert
Awesome authentic French food with outstanding service
April Tribelhorn
Very nice atmosphere, tho very crowded at first and did take a while to get drinks and meals but we had a large group. Otherwise the food was delicious and beautifully presented.
Erwin Fletcher
Absolutely an amazing place. The waiter, the food, the comfortability is beyond 5 stars. Wife and I will continue having alot of date nights at George's French Bistro 😉 …

A wonderous place. The waiters are very proper and gracious and the food and deserts are top shelf. The liquor and wine stock is extremely detailed.
Michelle Vogt
The food is always delicious! I had an all meat omelet. The staff is also wonderful and attentive. This is a wonderful lunch venue in East Wichita.
Kai Brown
The service is always impeccable but the food is really where it is at. Have yet to try something I didn't like. The creme brulee is the best I've ever had and the atmosphere is wonderful.
Bryan Rubero
Amazing food, amazing staff and service, an amazing experience! If you've not stopped by, do yourself a favor!
Brandon Williams
So I can't normally afford food from places like this, but I had a graduation ceremony, and to spruce it up we came here. Never in my life have I literally had my breath taken away, and tears come to my eyes over food! I don't know what they did or how, but try their rainbow trout. TRY THE TROUT! Oh and this stuff that starts with a 'P' it's like fries and gravy with mushrooms? Yeah that s#!$ is lit too
Stephen English
The new waiter whom had recently moved from the east coast was more than helpful and a delight to have met. The food was beyond expectations, this being my second time I have decided a more frequent stopping in is a must!
arthur davis
My wife and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary here, and what a wonderful experience, food was excellent, service was excellent, I would highly recommend Georges my pallet is still happy on the drive home.

Tate Bowman (t8bowman)
Georges is a delight. It doesn’t even feel like you’re in Wichita. It feels like you’ve been transported to Paris. The food, the service, and the entire experience is a worthy visit.
Valerie J. RN
Beautiful place. Amazing food!!
Hassel Barge
Lovely food and service. What a delightful surprise. My new favorite restaurant. I really am blown away that there is a place this nice in Wichita.

Another great dinner at Georges. Can highly recommend the cocktails for anyone who appreciates interesting takes on old classics. The bartender really knows his stuff.
Michelle Pitman
This is a top pick for us when we are in town. Love the food selection and we have not been disappointed in any meal we have had. The desserts are my favorite in town ❤️ The Eclair alone is worth the visit!
Derek Aalders
Fantastic food, great ambiance, and terrific staff. If you haven't experienced this place, what are you waiting for!?
Mike Mays
Very unique. You'll spend probably 40-50 per person after tip, but you can't get the service, entrees, or desserts anywhere else.
Sara Fulton
Calamari was amazing! French onion soup! The best I have ever had! Entrees just awesome
Cream brulee is the best in town!!
Alex Arnold
The atmosphere is really nice and the iced coffee is very good. My boyfriend and I both got capes which were also really good. I would definitely go back.
Jazmyn Daniels
This place was a nice surprise, I had never been until recently and enjoyed the decor and food. I will be back ! I only wish it were in a bigger building and nicer area.

Two of our trio heeded the advice of server and ordered the mahi mahi with brussel sprouts, squash and smoked artichoke. I ordered the lake trout with olive tapenade, with quinoa and spinach with prosciutto. Everything was perfectly done and accompanied by fresh warm bread. Large picture windows afford view of the pond outside.
Miss K.
Everything I had was delightful ... my server was prompt and attentive without being overbearing... I loved it all!
As a side note...croque-madame is actually the wrong title for the lunch item on the menu...unless you put an egg on it in some way ... at which point it would indeed be a Madame instead of a Monsieur ( which is actually what is described on the menu ).
*Croque-monsieur is, very simply, a grilled ham and cheese; the easy addition of a fried egg on top transforms it into a croque-madame.
Jason McKinley
Easily the best food in Wichita.
Jacob Olson
Great place , good ambiance, service. The best restaurant we went to while in Wichita by far.
Christina J
Traveling for business a colleague picked the place. I had a wonderful salad! Great wine list. Will return when we are back in town.
Cherie Hodges
Upscale dining experience! Delicious food, good service. The ambience is mediocre because it is too noisy, but aside from that, it's a great place for special occasions.
Brandi Dillmore
Amazing! Waitress, and food just amazing. Great date night!
