Once again, we have discovered a homely burger joint. The staff was nice and friendly to converse with. The cheeseburger and fires were delicious. I had BBQ cheeseburger. The sauce was spot on, with the burger being cooked proper. We definitely look to return and try the rest of the menu.

This place makes a great burger! Decent fries. For me it is the chili cheese burger that gets me every time! The perfectly cooked burgers, the right about of cheese, buns that are not over sized, and chili that Texas would claim! I could plan on one of these every Friday and look forward to it each and every Friday! This location is no joke. 3rd location for Calvin, same griddle from the first location. Seasoned to perfection!

Calvin's Hamburger Haven, has kept the same name from the Original owner. This business has been around for over fifty years. Pictures of the Original business is on the wall. The exact same moto and businesses etiquette has remained the same. Having spoken with the new owner I was assured that through out time it will remain always the same even when they sale the business. Calvin Hamburger Haven is not a franchise. You must go and discover true down home cooking with customer service that the business has always had. Truly recommend.

I got the bacon cheeseburger meal. It was really good and simple. It was a good burger!!! I liked the fries, could have been cooked a little longer for my taste but I like my fries extra crispy. The lady at the counter was nice and polite. The food was out in good time. The building is an old Nu-way. Could use maybe a little updating but not a bad place. Overall, it's really good. Nice locally owned burger joint. Way Better than that big corporate place acrossed the street!! Keep up the good work. I'll go back!!

Small local diner where you can get a proper hamburger. I had the double bacon cheeseburger, which was nicely done. Maybe seemed slightly heavy on the grease but slid down easily. Fries were definitely better than average in my opinion, a touch larger than an average fry. Also not a huge amount of seating available, but the wait wasn't long and the place was fairly quiet. Overall not at all bad place to stop for good food. Would stop again if in the area.

First time I had been there. The staff were friendly, helpful, and fun. Was more like the places I ate when I was a kid. You could tell it is a favorite of those who came in. The food was just like going back in time when hamburgers were cooked on a grill, buns also toasted on the grill. Fries were thick cut, delicious crispy. Will be going back.

I was totally happy with my meal. If you like hamburgers and fries from the past like those we grew up on in the seventies and eighties you'll love these burgers. If you can get over the shabiness of the interior then you'll love the food and service. This place is a good old-fashioned greasy spoon and you'll walk away full.

Love this new location! Best burger I've had from that area. Their menu is pretty big for a burger joint, offering specialty burgers and many different sides. Tried a double bacon and had some fries and fried okra and it definitely hit the spot. Will be going back as the prices were reasonable too.

First time visiting the Calvin’s Hamburger Haven and the food is excellent! My babe and I both had the #12 Hot Link Cheese burger combo and a side of jalapeño poppers and we loved it! We will be returning.

Nice friendly staff and the place was very clean and well organized. The hamburger itself was very good but the bun was disappointing kind of just dried bread but overall not a bad hamburger. Now for the fries, which were cold, very few, and no seasoning whatsoever. This place I would still recommend but it has some things that could be updated to take it to a whole new level.

Service is good here. They were not busy when I came in around 1. It was quick to get my order. I ordered the Double Bacon Cheeseburger combo to go. Had a 15 min drive back to work to eat. Burger and fries were still hot when I sat to eat. Flavor of the burger was good, but still a little dry. The fries I had a couple of bites they were hard, not really crispy and in a world of other restaurants not too appetizing. I would go back for the burger.

I was a little dubious when I saw this place but Google Maps had sent me a recommendation saying I would like them so... I went in and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The menu is a bit daunting with more than 20 different combos listed. The nice young girl behind the counter said I could customize or combine my order for even more choices. Yay! I finally settled on a hot link burger with jalapenos. It was awesome! Google was right again. Don't take my word for it though. Go try it for yourself!!!

Fantastic hole-in-the-wall burger joint! They are extremely fast and have decent prices. Never had a burger from here that I didn’t like. The staff speaks Spanish, as well as English. They offer different burger toppings and the option to have it single patty or a double patty. Perfect place to go for a quick lunch!

To get horchata with my meal, they would have charged me for each item individually. So I had soda. Huge price difference . I Guess there's no way to add that horchata into a combo meal? Ok then .. I guess IL go somewhere where they can.

This is the 3rd time we've eaten here and the food is alwaysgreat. But the counter tops desperately needed to be wiped down and the floors were filthy. We'll come back and hope that the store is a lot cleaner next time.

Roasted jalapeño on a cheeseburger? 🤤 Onion rings were chewy, not crispy... 😞 I really wanted to like this place after seeing some pictures of the burgers. And it's a solid 3 stars. But I didn't get the same rings as those other glowing reviewers, and the place was slow and kinda dirty.

Food is fairly quick, delicious and a lot for the money. The burgers are large. I just had a basic cheeseburger and fries today. The burger is large, filling the whole bun, and smothered in grilled onions, pickles, mustard and cheese. Very tasty.

Seriously! I'm not a fan of burgers but I decided to get the Hawaiian Burger and it was amazing. Best dog gone burger I have ever had! The fries are amazing too. Staff was friendly and knew the menu inside and out. Clean facility. Definatly a 10/10, so go try something new you wont be disappointed. Not here at least :)

It’s nothing to write home about. Not bad, not great. Maybe I went at an off time, but the hamburger patty lacked any seasoning, I mean, just some simple salt and pepper would have brought this to life when they cooked it. The patty was lacking any grease whatsoever and that’s a huge amount of taste that was lost on top of it not being seasoned.

Fantastic burgers! The flavor of the meat was perfect. We had the Pepperoni burger and the Hawaiian burger. We're both burger junkies and this is one of the best I've ever had. Restaurant was clean and the staff was GREAT! Unique menu offers something for everyone and something a little different than many places. Definitely a favorite now. I want to try the peanut butter burger next 😁

Saw this as a recommendation so took my girlfriend there. I got a double bacon cheese burger with grilled onions and chilli. She got a double bacon cheese burger with lettuce tomatoe, jalapeños and avocado. Didn't have to wait long for our food. The fries were piping hot and the burgers were steaming. I gotta say this might be my new favorite burger spot. Highly recommend, great service and great food.

Looking for a great burger? This is one place to put on your list. Staff is friendly and the consistency of the food is spot on. Never had a bad meal. The meats have excellent flavor and the size of the patty is very good. My favorite is the bacon cheeseburger, single or double, fries, and a drink with extra raw and grilled onions on the sandwich.

This is another Southside staple for burgers. They have a nice selection of toppings and sides. The meat is spot on for greasy spoon lovers. Honestly, I have yet to have a bad experience here. Every time the food as been on point and they are pretty fast at getting to you in a timely manner. The customer service has always been good, so if you haven't had it try it.

As a burger lover, I'm always searching for a good burger.. Calvin's makes a wonderful burger. Very relaxed atmosphere with a unique twist in certain ways, the fries were good although not anything to write home about. I tried an egg burger and my girlfriend tried the mushroom Swiss burger and both were delicious and filling. Will be back. Rated 4 stars only because as a whole, the meal was lacking in the side department, but that may have been my choice of regular fries.

Very friendly environment. Ordering was easy, cashier is bilingual, speaking both spanish and English very fluently. Burgers are built together property, meaning it won't fall apart on you. Grease is at a minimum depending on what you order. (I ordered a bacon burger and it didn't have too much grease which is good) fries are a little soggy and burger needs a little more flavor but over all very affordable and promising.

Words cannot describe how deeply I now love this place. I'm no uncertain terms, this is my perfect restaurant. I heave a deep love for "holes in the wall" and diners. This felt like both. With perfect seating arrangements, and space allotment it just feels right. And don't start me on the food. Literally unexplainable. Never before has food sip thoroughly blown my mind. I had the mushroom and Swiss burger. A simple yet elegant burger that I find is a good measure for the quality of a restaurant. They nailed it. I Also tried the pepperoni cheese burger. Normally I hate mixing two distinct foods together. The flavours always. Fight eachother and it never works. This burger decimated my understanding of food and the universe. I cannot explain it. Just try it, no matter how skeptical, do yourself a favour and try it.

My daughter googled places to eat and this place showed up. We said "What the heck, let's try it"! I am glad we did. The young lady that took our order was nice. Don't get me wrong, this is just a fast food burger place but it's pretty darn good. I would put it high above most chain fast food restaurants if you're into burgers. If you're interested, you should try a peanut butter burger.

The burger was good. It was a bacon cheeseburger with mustard, pickle, onion, plus tomato, lettuce and jalapenos which they didnt charge extra for. I didnt catch if it was frozen patties or fresh but it was cooked after ordering and tasted good. fries were precut and frozen but were also cooked when ordered. Prices were about the same as most fast food prices maybe even a bit cheaper.

Burgers were ok. Nothing spectacular at all. But they were quite filling and worth the money. Fries were just generic fries you can buy at Walmart or Dillons. Definitely a place to get full if you are low on funds, but nothing that made this place stand out.
