Reviews of Timber Pizza Company
I read about how good their Pepperoni pizza was in a local news and decided to try it! It was as good as advertised for a simple Pepperoni pizza. The place itself was quite quaint and simple outside the giant swing facing the window that I sat in. You can order and dine in, sit at the bar, and order from home and then pick up. Seem like a nice place to have casual date night or hang out with a few friends.
You can try the lightest pizza crust you can imagine.
The toppings are fresh a high quality. I would recommend this place to my friends and will come back again for more.
Delicious pizza! Made pretty quickly which is nice. This place is PACKED on the weekend with limited space so I recommend going in warmer weather when you can grab a picnic table outside or go to a park! Service was also great
This is a very cute little place that serves mainly Argentinian-style empanadas, pizza, coffee, beer, and more. On weekends they open from 8am to 1pm, then they reopen again at 5pm. Unfortunately (as of this writing at least), they only serve breakfast empanadas and no pizza during the first opening. So you have to come back after 5pm if you want pizza or pork empanadas. Another downside is that there are three empanadas in each order, and they all have to be the same kind, so you cannot get one squash empanada and one pork empanada. Other than that, all else was good!
Came by here because I was looking for some good pre π day pizza and they didn't disappoint. I did the half Bentley half pepperoni. Had some pork empanadas and ended it with a la mode vanilla gelato and a cookie. Everything was amazing. Staff was awesome 5 out of 5
Okay. Listen here. This place is WONDERFUL. I’ve never had a pizza this good. It’s really inexpensive for such high quality food and we have plans to bring family here when they visit from out of state. It’s interior is tiny but SOOO cute. We will be coming back to this place again. The sweet bar tender was very knowledgeable as well so don’t be afraid to ask questions. The whole staff seems to care about you and it feels really welcoming.
Excellent pizza! The dough is amazing very fluffy and light. The outside seating was very rustic and the vibe as real! The staff was very helpful and courteous. Highly recommended!
I walked in randomly and I'm not sure what is better the food or the customer service. Very tasty and fresh! I got the Pizza Bagel + it came with a bagel from Call Your Mother Deli - another local favorite.
Amazing pizza. The empanadas are also great. Hard to get in on the weekend, so plan ahead.
Service is fine. Not the best but fine. Seems staff are a bit overworked, and stuffed into a hot and quite small pizza shop.
I recommend this to everyone though. So good.
We’re eating Timber Pizza at a food truck. We got the cheese and the Bentley. The cheese was fresh and had some basil on the side. The Bentley was on of the best pizzas I’ve had in a LONG time. Had a honey drizzle, and chorizo with fresh tiny tomatoes on top. I’m very impressed. Will be eating here again!
Fantastic wood fired pizza. Unique toppings and flavors. Service was excellent.
Cannot say enough good things about Timber. Amazing, delicious pizza with soul that will make you hum. The restaurant itself is small but delightful; takeout is always high quality. Eat Timber.
This is my #1 favorite pizza in DC. Service is great. Dough is to die for, great toppings, awesome sauce prepared in the brick oven. I have been here a few times, and it ranked on top in book every time.
Of all the pizza places I’ve visited, Timber pizza stands alone. If you like think crust pizza, this is your spot. They deliver quality in a pie. Every time. Whether it’s their mobile unit or their stationary location. A++
Awesome & delish! The crust was just the right bubbly crispiness and the added basil was so yummy. I’m happy to say this was the best pizza I’ve had in a long time.
Thank y’all! I will be back!
A small spot for great pizza. We went on a Friday night and had to wait a bit for a table. Keep in mind you have to order before being able to get a table. We tried The Bentley and Green Monster pizzas, the Samaan salad, as well as the butternut squash empanadas and really enjoyed everything.
Pizza options are super unique and delicious. This pizza kitchen turns pizzas like woah (quickly!). They also have seasonal apps and recently we had some empanadas they were pretty tasty. Definitely check out this local pizza spot!
The only issue with Timber is that it's so good it's usually hard to get a spot at the bar. In a pizza-filled part of D.C., Timber takes top slot. For both taste and texture.
Awesome food, great customer service, fun atmosphere! My husband and I drove 45 minutes to eat here on a Saturday night. Got seated at the bar within 10 minutes. The empanadas with special sauce were delicious! I had the OMG salad and my husband had a pizza. Highly recommend!
I order pizza today , i got cashier her name Marinel and she is helping and gave me service with very harmony, smile , respectful. Am so happy , keep it like this people.
Thanks for the service again.
Great pizza, particularly the quality of toppings and cheese, I wish the crust had more structure and flavor, but the soft chewy texture was lovely and the fire-baked aroma is nice. I've also tried the breakfast empanadas, which are fine, and the bagels, which are good. Nothing spectacular but it's great for DC. Also they clearly take pride in the freshness and balance of their salads, so I can recommend those full-heartedly!
I popped out of the Metro 🚇 at McPherson Square Station into the Farmfresh By the White House Farmers Market. I was having a hard time deciding because everything looked so good. I ended up going with Timber Pizza Company though. I mean how many vendors haul a huge pizza oven with them to bake fresh pizzas. The workers were fast and cheery, which always makes for a more pleasant experience. Back to the food though. The Green Monster pizza was amazing: Pesto, mozzarella, feta, kale, and zucchini! 🤤 I’ve only had a handful of pesto pizzas, but this has been the best one so far. Really good flavor and the crust was soft and perfectly baked. Would totally eat this again. Although, I may be tempted to try one of each pizza. 🍕 No need to hold back on a good thing, right? I’m not from the area so I don’t know if they’re at the farmers market every week, but market is open Thursdays 11:00-2:00 and is located at 810 Vermont Ave NW. I’m not sure when I’ll be back in the area, but I hope to be here on Thursday. 😃
Go here. Do it!! The Dana, the Shirley, and the pork empanadas slapped my a$$ cheeks into another dimension!
Wow - amazing pizza! Cheese and toppings are excellent quality and the crust is chewy but firm. We tried The Shirley and it was made quickly; even though it had many toppings they were added with nuance and care that greatly improved the flavor combinations. If you want novelty pizza in DC, this must be near the top of your list!
Although it's a small place, the service is amazing and they have bar seating available. Lots of unique options for pizza which are all fantastic!
One of the best pizzeria of Washington DC. I would highly recommended it for everyone. I would certainly visit it again. The quality and taste is excellent. They just need to decrease a bit the prices. Nevertheless, the overall experience is outstanding. The staff is friendly as well. Very nice spot!
One of the best pizza places in DC. I would go multiple times a week if carbs weren't the devil.
Pizza
- Great crust, just the right amount of crunch.
- Sauce is pretty good, not too sweet
- Toppings are amazing, I normally get the Bentley which has sopressatta, cheese-cured chorizo, peppers and honey. This is one of the greatest topping combinations I've ever tasted.
Empanadas
- I had the brisket/pastrami empanadas, I really enjoyed them but I'm not really an empanadas enthusiast. The spicy pineapple dipping sauce is really good as well.
The service is amazing, there is a really good selection of beer as well. I would highly recommend this place at least once if you love pizza. The lines can be a bit long and it's not the cheapest pizza but I think it's worth it.
Finally had the chance to stop by today at Timber pizza company. What they showed on Instagram definitely delivered. Their empanadas were amazing with brisket inside pair with a sweet sauce. Their pizza was amazing also, very tasty cheese , fresh ingredients. Next time I’m gonna try a green pizza; they look delicious also
Great pizza in a cute space! It is small, so be ready to wait for a table to open up, but you order first and the food comes quickly so the wait won't be bad (there are also bar seats if you want drinks).
The pies are a good size for one person with a couple slices for leftovers. The ingredients are fresh and the dough is nice and chewy. Overall awesome place!
Went for dinner and was not disappointed! Definitely worth the 2019 Michelin bib gourmand based off the great taste and interesting beer menu. It won’t just be your standard Blue Moon in stock! Even the beer menu delights with some good picks.
I mean come on! Look at this…
Owner gives us this as consolation when someone took our sit
Lovely of them
Great pizza and service! The place is tiny, but these folks know what they're doing and they've got a system in place. The pizza isn't full on neapolitan style, but a little crisper and thinner crust, which really is so much better. Theres a dozen neapolitan pizza restaurants in DC, but Timber sets themselves apart by doing things a little different. Pizza was so good, I came back to try breakfast and their bagels were awesome!
The menu has some interesting pizzas on it (i.e. ratatouille pizza), and changes seasonally. I would recommend choosing a more familiar pizza (i.e. margherita pizza). The pork empanadas were delicious and served nice and hot. They were a great warm-up while waiting for the pizzas. They have a nice offering of beers and ciders, too. There is not much seating inside, and it can get very busy, so it may be best to place an order for pickup. I went on Friday night and it was packed with barely enough room to order. Staff members were rushed and brusque.
Absolutely loved the pizza & vibe here! It’s a popular joint so get there early to ensure a table. Service wasn’t super friendly but it was efficient. The pizzas were delicious! ❤️🍕 …
A Brooklyn pizza restaurant, right here in DC. Really great quality all around, and fun topping combinations to boot. Seating can be a bit of a wait, but it’s well worth it.
This was such a gem! We went here a couple years back, because it was the closest from our Airbnb. Then three years ago a friend from DC took me here and I realized I had already been. This is a great restaurant. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is just vining and harmonic. I will always come back for that pizza.
Low-key, friendly place with delicious pizza- definitely some of the best I've had in DC! The menu has tons of great options and you can get half-and-half if, like me, you can't decide. I had a pizza with The Green Monster (a pesto pizza) and The Lucy (a white pizza) and both were excellent. It's a small place with a few larger tables and a full service bar, which is where we sat. The drink selection was great and both drinks and food came quickly. We will definitely come back!
They don’t do slices. So I didn’t eat pizza, I didn’t want to waste food. I saw plenty of ppl with take out boxes. So come extra hungry if you want pizza. The bar is a cool spot. I only came here because I was in the area.
Amazing window seat with awesome empanadas, Penelope pizza, and a nice cold iPa. Couldn't get much better. Another satisfied customer :-)
Went back for dinner... The pizza is solid. For this area they do good work. Two Amy's and Pupatella still have a leg up.
Breakfast: Quick egg empanada before they closed for the afternoon. They were eggsalent, yet a tad small, and a little overpriced.
Very strange hours here. They stop food service early afternoon on Saturday - 1:00 PM. I saw many people trying to get into the restaurant for a late lunch 1:00ish but they were done until dinner. I feel like they are missing some major opportunity here.
Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz
Kevin and the Richmond Timber location catered my wedding in Waynesboro, VA. Having a catering background myself, I was beyond impressed. I wanted a more casual feel but still able to dress up the reception and give people a different wedding experience. Not only was the pizza and appetizers (the apps were SO good) delicious, the presentation and pizza itself was BEAUTIFUL. The ingredients were fresh and the pizza was hot and made on site. Our guests raved about the pizza and had boxes to take home for anyone who wanted. The vendors were equally impressed and wanted them on their vendor list asap. Kevin was a pleasure to work with and was very responsive and accommodating. They have definitely figured out wood fire pizza on a large scale and anyone should feel very confident in hiring them. I’m so glad I saved money on traditional wedding food and it ended up being SO much better!
Great pizza. Would 100% recommend expercially for less traditional pizza types. Please bring back the Ackley
The place was cozy and had a good selection of pizzas, but all in one size though. The pizzas were very lite and tasty. The green monster was really tasty. We did two different types half and half. The staff was friendly and the place has a very good lighting.
Best pizza around ! Dough is absolutely perfect, ingredients are fresh and pizza is cooked perfectly.
This is our favorite pizza place in DC and worth the travel time from downtown. The staff is incredibly speedy at putting out delicious pizzas and we love their cocktails and beer selection. We have dined in and taken out and have been happy every time. Do not be alarmed by the crowds on a busy night - they are great at finding you the perfect spot.
The pizza is solid but I don't think it's anything extraordinary. It's great that they offer gluten free crust options which is very welcome.
The taste of the toppings are great but the crust doesn't rate among the best pizzas I've ever had.
This pizza was amazing, I will definitely be back. They let you do half and half if you can't decide on which pizza to get. I got half the Bentley and half the Penelope. The honey on the Bentley brings it an amazing touch. One of the best neopolitan pizzas I've ever had.
YummmMMMmmm! I loved what I ate here. Basically, you can design your pizza from a fun assortment of sauces and toppings. They have vegan cheese for those who want that option. You can even customize halves of pizza in case you're not sure what you want to get. There's a full bar with wine & beer options, especially from local wineries and breweries. Seating is family style so prepare to get cozy, and outside seating is limited but it's also really easy to take what you want to-go.
Best Pizza I've had in Washington DC. Not to be missed. Worth the trip while you're in DC. The pizza is delicious! Creative flavor combinations wow your tastebuds. Yum!
Some of the best-tasting pizza I've ever had. The sauce, cheese, crust, and toppings are flavorful and baked to perfection.
Great pizza. Good atmosphere for casual dinner. Little expensive but great addition to the neighborhood. Hope they add a happy hour. Breakfast empanadas are great and bagels have an interesting smokey flavor but are crazy expensive at $3 for just a bagel. Hopefully they lower the price and become a real neighborhood bagel breakfast joint.
The pizza is awesome, the salads are huge! Get the porch swing by the window and you will get an awesome view also. The staff is focused on quality and told me the first pizza they made for me was not up to their standards. So, they made another. There is a good beer selection with lots of local options. They even go around town of you have an event. This has to be the best pizza in town and it's in a great part of the city.
Empanadas were out of this world, but you're probably going here for pizza. This pizza is interesting, it has a similar look to New Haven apizza, a nice char, but it's char stops in the middle, a symptom of undercooking the pizza resulting in too much flop. Atmosphere was nice.
Happily impressed. So good we ate almost half before remembering to take a picture. GET THE EMPANADAS! The pork ones are perfect! None left to take a picture.
1st time having Timber and this is hands down my favorite Pizza that I've ever had in my life! And what wonderful customer service do they have! You know what makes great food even better? Great friendly customer service! Big things up to Timber!
Delicious pizza! We had the Cheese Please and The Shirley, along with The Lucia salad. All made from scratch and absolutely scrumptious. The salad is small but deceiving - it is a hearty and full of substance. The establishment is small for its large crowd of local fans, but it sets the cozy and homey atmosphere that every pizza parlor should have. Excellent establishment of the Petworth neighborhood.
great service, good pizza. just wish they sold slices, instead of just personal pizzas, and had more toppings to throw on.
Chill vibe with outdoor seating. Good food and drink! I had the 'Julia' which was yummy!
Awesome pizza and amazing salad. All fresh ingredients. Thin crust. Wood fired oven. Local spring mix salad with fresh radishes and peas. All healthy and amazing taste. Two picnic tables inside and two outside. Lots of take out. Order takeout online or call. Wine, beer and gelato dessert. Restaurant is super clean as is the unisex restroom. All employees are quiet and super efficient. They have a good system here.
Great stone pizza, don’t forget the spicy honey sauce(tolerable for 99% of people).
Great first visit. Enjoyed the Moscow Mule and The Shirley pizza. Friendly staff. I will return.
Absolutely it’s a BEST Pizza in DMV area!!
Our company has used Timber Pizza for an annual event since 2014. They just catered our most recent event this week. I can't say enough good things about their food and service. They have consistently gone above and beyond each and every time. We are thrilled to have them, highly recommend them. Our guests rave about the pizza! You won't be disappointed!
Nice environment, good pizza options, quick service (it was busy), good pricing and the pizza was very good. Try the place out.
Great pizza, you can customize a pizza to be more vegetarian-friendly, but I’m not sure have many mods are allowed! It can get busy, so prepare for a wait, but pizza comes out fast and hot!! Call before to make sure they're still open if you come on Monday or Tuesday!! Love it
It's the real deal. Just get in early and they will find you a seat shared tables and the best Pizza and Beer in DC
Great little pizza place that made it in the 101 best pizzas in America list.
Some of the best pizza in the city. Fresh, tasty, gourmet ingredients offered in an array of unique combinations. Nice thinner crust (but not too thin) that is just the right balance of crispy and doughy. Light on the sauce, but bold on the flavor. The salads are healthy and fresh as well.
Cool atmosphere and many different pizza options. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I’ve eaten A LOT of pizza in DC. This pizza is the best pizza in DC. It’s perfect!!!! The salad and empanadas are also so delicious! Can’t wait to come back! :) Highly recommend!
Still great pizza, still great food in general. The empanadas are fantastic. It can definitely be tight in terms of space to sit. Small place. Easy to take out though, and find a place to crash.
Tasty artisanal pizzas. Great ambiance and music as well. Prices are a tad bit much for what you get, but overall worth it. Would definitely come here again!
They have the best breakfast sandwiches, so moist and fresh. Beautiful staff. Great pizza
One of my favorite spots! The Bentley pie is my go-to, but the pies are on the smaller side so it's fun to get a couple pies to mix it up (and have leftovers for a day or two). For brunch, get the veggie, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwich with hot honey for dipping. The biscuits are basically dripping with butter and that's how it should be.
Excellent salad and pesto “Green” pizza. Superb crust. Honestly, one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a while! It’s a cute setting too with friendly wait staff. I’ll definitely be going here again.
A mainstay on Upshur St NW, Timber’s pizza provides some of the best flavors seen on the East coast. What’s very unique about Timber is each pizza undergoes a quality control test to ensure it is perfectly baked. So you’ll always know, every time you get pizza here, you’ll get consistently great product each time.
This pizza is top notch. The crust is crisp enough to hold up toppings, but thin enough to fold: the perfect balance. Great cheese and sauce ratio. The spicy honey is a unique topping option too. And the staff are lovely! Highly recommend.
The customer service is excellent. Staff are very friendly. The restaurant looked clean and everything else was great... except the pizza. I was really excited to try this place because of all the great reviews. But the pizza was not good at all. We tried the Cheese and the Penelope. The cheese was better but still not good. To be fair, we ordered take out. It's possible that it'll taste better if you eat it when it comes straight out of the oven instead of 15-20 minutes later.
really great pizza, good selection of drinks as well, often pretty crowded so just anticipate a potential short wait
Delicious pizza and fresh salads
Amazing pizza, trendy setting. Only problem is that it's so popular it's almost always crowded!
Pizza is excellent. Their ovens are nice and toasty so they cook the pizza right. Get that and a pitcher of beer and you have yourself a night.
Best pizza in Petworth (and northwest DC, for that matter)
Absolutely awesome pizza, empanadas, and ice cream. Loved this place and will be back!!!
Great pizza! The idea is great, make sure to come off peak hours. This place is always packed! It proved why its that good!
We had the green Monster and Bentley. Simply delicious. Lots of drink options. Love their choices. Will definitely come back.
Do yourself a favor and get some weekend breakfast biscuit (or bagel) sandwiches and/or breakfast empanadas. It tastes just like what the weekend should taste like. And the staff is friendly and fast with orders to boot. 6 stars!
Without a doubt the best pizza in town! I love the cheese pizza as its perfectly simple and comes with fresh basil. The Green Monster is also a winner with a pesto sauce and lots of veggies on top. Timber has gotten popular over the last year, but you should believe the hype. Sometimes it’s hard to snag a seat but if you’re lucky you can find something at the bar or outside.
In addition to their pizza, they also have an amazing breakfast. Their bagel sandwiches are the perfect weekend treat.
The only negative about this place is that they are closed on Mondays and In the afternoon on Friday and Saturday. Other than that, this place is perfect!
Hands down one of the best pizzas in the city. Crust is amazing, light, thin and crispy. The sauce, which to me is one of the most important pieces of a pizza, is bright and flavorful, and all the toppings I’ve tried are super fresh. Try the pineapple hot sauce stuff they have too, it’s an interesting kick.
Long lines can be intimidating but trust me, it’s well worth the wait or picking it up for take home. Just eat it quick because the pies are fresh and made to order!
This is my favorite pizza place in dc (20+ years of eating pizza in the District). The service is pretty good and a friendly staff but it gets crowded and line is out the door in the summer. The variety of pizzas is great and the flavor is masterful. Thin crust and great blends of sauces and cheeses. It’s not very central in dc but it’s worth the trip. The pizza will likely be a two day affair if you get your own, but any pizza is a personal pizza if you believe enough. Highly recommend!
Great pizza! Even arriving 15 minutes after they opened there was a line out the door. Don't forget to read the sign-order first and then sit down. If there aren't available seats, there is a waitlist so it's not first come first served on seating.
I encourage doing half pies of flavors so you can try a few if you go with other people. Draft list looked pretty interesting, and they have an assortment of cans available as well.
Pizza is mg favorite food so I'm always up for trying a new spot. I had Timber Pizza at Vino Fest DC 2016 and it was excellent. I had the green monster which is pesto, mozz, kale, and zucchini and it was great.
They have a wood fire pizza oven they tow behind a truck which means the pizzas cook fast and taste great with a nice smoky char to the crust. Speaking of crust, they hand stretch a fresh ball of dough right as you order. Great pizza!
The Bentley is definitely among top pizzas I’ve ever had
It’s alright here. The few times I’ve gone the pizza has been relatively cold. Not my favorite pizza place but even mediocre pizza is fine.
Happy I found this place. The pizza is very good and the environment is super casual. I came with a friend and we enjoyed hanging out at the communal tables, sharing a salad and eating pizza. The grapefruit spritzer was also very good. I didn't bring my daughter but it is definitely kid-friendly...crowded but relaxed.
Love to support a neighbor business, especially one that's so hyped. Unfortunately, I wasn't terribly impressed with my gluten free pizza. First of all, it's important to note that they make their own gluten free crust and don't use one of the 2 mainstream brands most others places do. For this, there is a $4 upcharge. This is a bit more than other places, but not unreasonable. However, I didn't love the gluten free crust itself. It was soggy and lacking flavor. The toppings and overall flavor profile were great, which more than made up for it. Even though I didn't love it, I'll be back and hope that will time come some minor improvements
it's taken longer than i'd like to step up to this plate, but they keep odd hours
this was a solid wood-fired type pizza. decent crust, thinner then most, not limp in the middle, a bit more char than some would insure, but i like that.
the dressing of the bread (sauce, toppings) was both visually asthetic, and a nice flavor profile.
i find most fired pizza places start of strong, and then slowly lose steam over time. But Timber has been open for years. reminisent of (and a smidge better than) old-school Roscoe's many management changes ago.
i only had pizza. curious about the depth of the menu now, and may find out.
difficulty score 4, execution 5.
A local DC pizzeria....thin crust dough, clever ingredients. I loved the mix of honey with spicy sauces as one part of the unique pie. The sauce is light in the two times I've eaten here, perfect as it cannot over power the savory recipes. The Bentley is yummy. Plus I asked the hostess to choose my IPA ... so many options I couldn't choose ... and like the food .. perfect!
Very fun and low-key. The pizza is quite good and pairs well with their Moscow Mule bottle. Awesome spot for pairs, larger groups will have trouble finding seating on Fridays and Saturdays. Their semi-revised seating system has made the experience a lot more pleasant.
Great pizza. Fast service. Able to do half and half, which is rare for an "artisan pizza" joint.
Docked a star due to inability to presently pay in person (by cash or card). Only way to presently order is via online or calling in and they take your credit card over the phone (even if you are standing right outside). Can understand and respect contactless payment due to pandemic to minimize risk but perhaps accept Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay exclusively for in person transactions as an option to and for those that want to walk up and purchase but did not call ahead. Was first time here and was excited to try due to favorable reviews had heard. "2" hungry adults will definitely need at least two pizza pies. Decent pricing but reset assured not cheapest option in town for pizza. Tasty pies and both myself and SO thoroughly enjoyed ours (even with some leftovers for following day). Swift takeout business evening we were there with seemingly people arriving every 3-5 min to pick up an order (many of which walking up indicating to me that they were local). Would recommend and plan to return and will simply be sure to order online in advance this time around.
Certainly one of the best pizza joints in DC, the crust is airy for amount of dough, but the sauce is outstanding, combining to give a delicious base for a good range of toppings and number of creative pies that make it a go-to pizzeria. The selection of local beers and ciders complimented the food nicely. Will definitely go back.
Pizza was great! Space was a problem, so they probably need to expand soon. But space being a problem can be a good indicator that of an establishments quality and service. The staff was friendly and helpful trying to find seating. They have good local craft beer selection too! So, be cognizant of the crowd and don't camp if they are busy. Because the service is quick, it is on you too move your butt if you are done!
Gluten free pizza here is legit, they accommodate for wheat allergy but please call ahead if you have celiacs concerns. they seems very friendly towards this and will do their best, like most places you eat out at, it's at your own discretion/risk. but it's extremely rare that you'll find a place that actually does accommodate. And I thank Timber Pizza Company for this.
The best pizza I've had outside of Italy and even my Italian friend says the same! And I'm also vegan but will bend my own diet for Timber veggie pizza once in a blue moon. Their salads are also very wonderful! I love the pea shoots, pesto and flowers they use! It's wonderful! Always wonderful!
A definite favorite. It starts with a great crust and ends with some interesting toppings, and you get choices of sauces ranging from red to white to green. I've never had a bad bite here. And often get every pizza 1/2 and 1/2 because I can't decide and want to try everything (some pizzas change, seasonally and I've had everything from roasted corn to pork to nectarines on them).
Order at the counter FIRST and wait for a table to open up. Don't be afraid to join other people at a table if you're a small party. It's a tiny place, but it's comfortable and casual and family style seating works well here for a communal experience.
The best pizza I've had in the DMV! If you plan to dine in, be prepared for a bit of a wait as the dining room is fairly small. We ordered to-go, and our pizzas were done very quickly despite it being a busy Saturday night. The staff is also super friendly!
Really great pizza with some unusual flavors/combinations. It's a little small inside but there are definitely places to sit, including a swing/bench at the front window. It gets really packed on Saturday evenings so be ready for a little wait. I wouldn't recommend ordering wine.
Timber Pizza did an excellent job catering the wedding. They had no problem setting up bars in both the cocktail hour and reception areas. From what I could tell, no guest was waiting for food and Timber was kind enough to box up leftovers at the end of the night.
They did an excellent job catering to the dietary restrictions of our guests, and some of the vegetarians said, "I'm surprised they have multiple vegetarian options that not only taste great, but taste very different from each other".
If you want to do something more memorable than the Chicken/Steak/Salmon dinner options for your wedding, go with Timber!
Sunday evening last week... well you can imagine the line was out the door. My random tinder date and I had a wonderful time here. The line was out the door when we arrived to Timber. We had no fear and waited in line to order at the counter. There were a few tables I was eyeing to sit at but the completion was tough. So we decided to take the pizza back to my place, maybe that was my plan after all. Regardless.. the pizza was delicious. We had a meat lover style pizza. I forget the name, but it was perfect. The beer selection was wonderful. As we waited for the pizza we drank two cold ipas outside and had a lovely time. The pizza is thin crust and was the perfect amount to split between two people. A salad would have been nice to share. Good food and good ingredients.
One of the best pizza places in the district. Excellent thin crust pizza with the perfect dough and the perfect toppings. The chorizo is great and really comes through on the Bentley pizza. I also recommend trying the empanadas which are small but packed with pork. They also come with a nice pineapple hot sauce to put on top. They also serve good draft beers, mixed drinks, and an interesting and rotating selection of canned beers to try. Highly recommend trying but get there early as it gets packed and they have limited seating.
Good to see food bringing people together in an area that looks like it needs it. They carry Victoria (beer); it shows that someone is being real thoughtful when crafting their alcohol selection.
Although they take no reservations, and the line can often be out the door on weekend nights, their seating system works well enough. If it was a tad larger, and could afford some patio space I'd feel like I'm back in Atlanta at Antico.
The pizza is fantastic as well, by the way.
Good pizza, wood fired oven right there for everyone to see, too. I tried the cheese pizza and that alone was about a 7.2. The dough was just a little doughy. Not sure why, it didn't seem like there was too much sauce or cheese. The flavors were all solid though so 7.2 is a fair score. The other pizzas that I tried were better, the pesto sauce was good and the combos they made were delicious. Their salad was also delicious as well. I went on a hot summer day and the inside still felt cool and nice, their ventilation/exhaust system was on point.
Absolutely fantastically fresh pizza! With whole, fresh basil leaves and fresh mozzarella with thin crust, you cannot go wrong! Ordered the Shirley with cheese, pesto, tomato, peppers, chorizo and onions and requested to hold the provolone (too sharp!) but keep the mozzarella. They had no problems accommodating my request and the pizza turned out amazing! Planning another trip soon!
It's been a bit since I went but it was great. I love it when you eat a pizza and it makes you rethink pizza. I'm not really a lover of fruit but I like sweet and spicy and that's what I got on a pizza with pork and I think pineapple sauce. The drink was great too. I'm sure it fills up quickly on popular nights like the night I was there.
Hands down best pizza I've had in DC. Great value and perfect portions.
Definitely a cool vibe to the place. Staff was super friendly, good music but not too loud and in your face. Amazing cocktails- I had the Wilson which is a delicious vodka concoction.
Damn good pizza, the variety of pizzas they had was a little bizarre but everything we had was delicious. Wasn’t expecting it to be that good. The staff was wonderful as well.
Timber Pizza Company is just a fabulous dining option for pizza in Washington, DC. They have a tremendous selection of drinks, wines and beers and the ambience and atmosphere are equally cool. The service is reliably good and my one and only complaint is that I wish they stayed open later. That said, I still highly recommend Timber Pizza without hesitation.
Arguably one of the best pizzerias in the DC area. Crust is perfectly chewy (akin to Pupatellas) with a little bit of char (if you're into that) and their tomato sauce is flavorful. They have a tasty variety of red and white pizzas to choose from, with a surprisingly wide selection of canned beers. Also, they have a swing seat at the window perfect for a date or young children.
I've lived in D.C. for thirteen years, frequent the food scene and somehow it took me until now to have Timber Pizza Company, one of the most beloved pizza spots in Washington, D.C. Here's what's to love:
1) The location is on a fun street in Petworth with other great businesses like Loyalty Books, Ciner BBQ, She Loves Me, etc. As you wait to be seated or do pick-up, you can wander the streets. There's a fun art space called Art of Noize behind Timber.
2) The pizza was good. I ordered the Bentley and thought the flavors complimented each other well. The dough was excellent. However, I thought my pizza would have a more powerful flavor to it. It was good, but it didn't change my life.
3) The staff is excellent- friendly, helpful and just cool.
I'd recommend Timber Pizza to people!
Went for breakfast and they had my hometown orange juice a very tasty bagel sandwich! No pork alternatives, but the egg and cheese is honestly good by itself!
Great pizza toppings, outside sitting area, bar in the back, and most importantly great pizza crust.
Absolutely amazing! Everything we ate was excellent. The salad we had was subperb
-- local and fresh. The pizza was the best I have ever eaten. Even the beer was local. The dessert was Timber's icecream with homemade cones in a word extraordinary! Finally, the staff were attentive to detail. The food they prepared was not only tasty, it was a delight for the eyes. Authentic food! Puts American chain restaurants to shame.
Delicious pizza and really tasty salads too. It's very popular and there's not a lot of seeing, so it's difficult to get a table. We showed up right as they were opening on a Sunday and by 5:03 nearly all the indoor seats were taken.
Consistently tasty pizza, great flavor combinations, and great service! I’m always happy with whatever I order from Timber Pizza. I’ve tried other pizza places around the DMV and this is the place I keep coming back to.
WOW! Finally tried this place last week and was blown away by how good their pizza's are. The adults had the Bentley and it was really good. The kids had the Pretty in Pepperoni and I may have liked it more! And thats rare for just a pepperoni pie. Crusts were amazing, toppings were great. I really liked the red sauce on the PiP. Wish I had a picture to show off but it all vanished super fast. Also a tasty salad the Daryl it looks like. And thats from a mea-tarian...:)
The best pizza I had for a long while. It can be a bit tricky if you're looking to eat over there since it's crowded. But for take out, it's perfectly fine. Don't be discouraged by the queue. There are quite quick so it's not as bad as it seems in terms of waiting time.
This is our go-to neighborhood joint, but it's so good that we would make the effort to go here even if we didn't live nearby. The menu is pretty simple: a couple of salads, empanadas and a larger selection of pizzas. The menu changes seasonally and we are always excited when there are new items to try. Get a salad, just do it. Get a couple of pizzas and make sure you try one that has a topping that you think is "weird" for pizza. You're gonna like it.
BEST PIZZA IN DC! Be sure to check out their new location on Upshur Street! Amazing selection of pies from the Cheese Please to the Green Monster to go along with the unique restaurant which has a super relaxing feel to it! Amazing service with even better pizza! This place is a must try if you call yourself a pizza fan whether you are just in town for day or a local pizza connoisseur! If you still have room after the pizza, don't forget about their amazing HOMEMADE WOOD-FIRED ICE CREAM CONES! Mind Blowing!
Tiny, blistery, black bubbles on a delicately crispy, pillowy base. Tomato sauce with balanced tartness, flavorful pesto, sharp cheese blended into the mozz. Great pizza! Friendly service, nice vibe, good beer selection. Will definitely be back for more!
Pizza and beer were tasty and reasonably priced. Vegetarian empanadas were just okay--a little heavy on the smokiness. A small and busy restaurant. We were seated at the bar, which got a little uncomfortable toward the end of our meal when a couple people were standing right behind us and waiting for us to leave so they could take our seats.
Very tasty pizza with interesting options. We tried a bunch of different types, my favorite was the Penelope. A hungry person could easily eat a whole pizza. I only wish that I lived closer!
Went here on a date and this place will allow you to be your most awkward you. The waiting area is you standing over other patrons as they eat. Community benches for seating that only allow you to have one body part on it at a time. Playlist was great. It's like if Zpizza and Whole Foods had a baby and then Starbucks baristas raised it. Nice decor. The pizza was very good.
Absolutely love Timber. I live in NYC and will travel here to get a pizza when I'm back home visiting family. Fantastic atmosphere and great people working here.
They also have a tasty selection of beers and drinks on the menu as well!
Great beer selection, nice lil neighborhood spot. The food was on point and make sure to try the Sup pineapple sauce with your pizza. I will say the pizza is hit and miss depending what you're trying. The bread is great but the ingredients are bland depending what you get. The salads are on point. Make sure you try the empandas though
Cute plastic “paper” plates and good beer. Pizza was tasty! wish they had more seating! Great service!
Absolutely love Timber Pizza! We drive downtown just to go there about once a month. The pizza is so yummy, the atmosphere is cozy and the service/team is very friendly. Order The Lot, it's the best!
My family and I came here to celebrate my birthday. They do not take me reservations but that wasn't an issue on a Sunday night. We waited about 15 to 20mins before we were seated. We started off with a filling salad that had a unique and light dressing. We then went overboard and ordered 5 different pizzas. All of them had different flavors that were absolutely delicious but I definitely stuffed myself.
1. The D & D
2. The Shirley
3. Green Monster
4. Cheese Please
5. The Ackley
At first I thought of calling this place “overrated” because it already has such a fantastic reputation, but I think it earns its 10/10, top new restaurant credential. Come early in the evening for quicker service, as the line starts to build up around 6:30 or 7. Expect to wait for seating and the food. The empanadas are also a joy and great appetizer while waiting. Ambience is fantastic inside and on the little outside porch. I suggest coming right after work on a weekday or for an off-peak weekend meal. They also have breakfast!
Decent pizza; interesting array of toppings and pie combinations. They have a respectable beer, cider and wine list but could use a little more seasoning in the pizza dough and the base pizza sauce.
We had the Penelope and the Bentley both were awesome and complement each other well. Their beer selection is outstanding, and the pizza is just simply amazing. I highly recommend Timber Pizza Company.
The pizza is 100% amazing. The communal seating is annoying and hectic. To be fair, I don't really know how else you would seat people inside such a small space, but it's still annoying. Come before 7 or after 9 if you want to find a seat without waiting.
Best pizza in DC (try the Penelope!). The only thing is that the logistics inside the restaurant kind of suck. You order your pizza up front and then just have to wait and try and vulture a table as they come available, and it is not a big space. Much easier to navigate with a small group; untenable for large groups.
Pretty good Neapolitan style pizza, just skip the salads.
I love that there's a pizza place right in the middle of "downtown" Petworth now! This place is great: amazing pizza, ridiculously friendly staff, and a fun atmosphere. Don't ever be intimidated by the line of folks waiting to order: they're so efficient here that while the line looks long, you'll be eating before you know it!
Amazing pizza! Thin crust and various not standard toppings.
Really really good pizza. Very unique flavors. It is rather pricy though and the pizzas aren't very large. You will probably need to get at least one pizza per two people and maybe a salad.
By far my favorite pizza place in dc. I’m a Roman pizza type of person, I’m more into the toppings than the dough, if you’re like me you’ll love this place. They’re toppings are just fantastic and the thin crust gets all crispy and smoky
Delicious pizza with fresh ingredients cooked to perfection in a brick oven, with good selection of local beers and freshly-mixed drinks at the bar. Ordering at the counter means the line goes out the door, but it moves quickly, so don't worry.
Craving wood-fired pizza during Covid-19? Timber is the way to go is super fast online ordering! While Timber is typically a zoo full of elbow-rubbing, it's impressively sanitary with no crowds during Covid. All the kitchen workers and staff members wear masks and gloves - so your precious pizza is protected!
You can order on the phone or online just not in-person, which is a great way of eliminating lines. Easy grab and go!
We ordered 2 Cheese Please and they were ready in 10 minutes pipping hot. I picked up the pizzas right outside the tent as the restaurant is closed off.
The "Cheese Please" hit the spot with a soft pillowy charred crust, globs of fresh mozzarella cheese and sweet tomato sauce baked to perfection in a 800 degree wood-fired oven.
The scrumptious pizza is well worth the trek from McLean - we come at least a month and been over 1/2 dozen times since Covid!
Excited to come back for some more pies with no wait times!
A new York city girl can be hard to convince that pizza outside of NY is any good. This is definitely a great spot for quality pizza and really interesting toppings. Vegan cheese substitute is not bad either!
Delicious pizza. Alcohol prices are absurd. If you're going to charge $10 for a 10oz can of cider you should let customers know up front they are getting ripped off.
Okay, okay, I finally went. It's not the best slice in town but it's pretty darn good. I went for their take on margherita on my first go because it's the easiest way to get a comparison to others, but if (read: when) I go back, I'll probably go for one of the more interesting pizzas.
This place is amazing! Very cool spot, perfect for date night or chilling with friends. The pizza is amazing, which I expected, but the empanadas are also out of this world! The place also has a great beer list. I highly recommend it.
We had an excellent salad...
Empanadas...
Two pizzas...
All were worthy of eating again. This place is pleasant to be in and the staff was lovely as can be. Would definitely recommend without hesitation...
I dream about the Green Monster once a week.
Timber has overtaken Menomale and Paccis as my favorite pizza spot. All pizzas here are amazing. It’s always packed but the cool thing is that you can sit picnic style if there’s space. Friendly staff too.
Was tipped to this as all-time best pizza material. We tried five different pies and it landed perfectly. Great range for red, white, and green concoctions all on a perfect dough with just enough crispness to give it character.
They even have vegan cheese! And you would think that would turn the whole thing around... make it a terrible pizza... blasphemous even. But it doesnt! This lil shop really isn't leaning on the cheese to make their pizzas so delicious. Every ingredient that participates is amazeballs. Everyone usually goes for the Bentley which is in fact pretty dope. But that Penelope is also a jam
It was ooookaaayyyy. The dough wasn't cooked all the way through and there were too many gimmicks. Too many sauces with too many spices covering up the flavor of the dough, the sauce (I had red sauce which I did really like) and the cheese. Everything was just over flavored, but not in a way that was enjoyable for me. My teenage son (who fancies himself a chef and pizza is his specialty) was with me. The whole dinner, he kept mumbling..."meh". Service was great though and I love the community tables! We also had salad and pork empanadas. Same complaint - too gimmicky.
Just ate there, they are amazing, the food is very fresh, they use alot of local farm stuff, we miss ordered thinking we ordered three pizzas, they gave us a free pizza because our friend came from Kazakhstan just to try their pizza... amazing staff and great food, my fav. Pizza place in DC from now on.
A great local spot with fun artisan pizza and friendly service. They also do wonderful catering.
The pizza crust is hands down one of the best I've eaten in my brief time as a grown fetus. The toppings, however crazy they may sound, come together to form an extremely complex and satisfying taste profile (see "kale pizza"). A solid entry in the malcolm time spent in DC. 5 malcolms out of 5
Best wood fire pizza in DC. Definitely worth a trip to Petworth or as a neighborhood local, a weekly hangout. Great bar service and outdoor setting available.
Got some pizza to go and was absolutely blown away. Seriously amazing pizza that is the best I have tasted almost anywhere. Great location with the restaurant explosion that's happening on Upshur right now, and a "no duh" stop for delicious food on the way home after some drinks anywhere nearby.
Great pizza, drinks, and salads. Wait times can be long during busy hours and seating is first come first serve. All these things and it's still worth it. It's like getting 2 Amys or Menomala but in Petworth.
Breakfast/Brunch Update: Food is delicious, but don't come here late(past 930am) if you want bagels or biscuits. They are sold out of everything bagels pretty much everytime I have shown up past 9 am.
Great pizza, family-friendly vibe, yep, our new go-to for Friday Night Pizza Night with my kids. And they have an AWESOME ice cream dessert. Order it and you will leave happy.
One of the very best pizzas I've had, ever!
I was a little put off by the price of the sides and desserts until I saw how epicly sized they are. Highly recommended!
This pizza is amazing! Even better, the staff is extremely courteous and accommodating and the selection is simply fantastic. Also the ambience of the loft space venue is super chill as well. Great place for families!
Great pizza and a neat environment! I would suggest considering takeout since there is not much room for dine-in.
Good beer. Delicious pizza. We are having them cater our wedding and the guys who run the shop are super chill and competent so the fiance and I are pretty hyped
The pizzas were very good, not many places can make good dough but this place does it right! Same goes for the sauce. A bit of a line but worth the wait. Great for groups👍🏻 …
Great pizza. Very good crust and interesting toppings. You might have to wait to sit down as it's come first sit first or share a table. But the pizza makes it worth all of it
Excellent place, everyone is very friendly. Food is spectacular probably the best pizza I’ve ever had. Recommend this place 100%
Best pizza in DC. You usually need to wait in line, but trust the process. The salads are good and a small one is plenty for two people.
My fiancé and I love this pizza. We just wish it was closer to downtown. I appreciate their small bar for some draft beers. I would easily recommend this pizza.
I came here for the vegan cheese and stayed for the vibes. The pizza and beer were great. This small spot is a neighborhood go to.
New (June 2016) Restaurant focusing on brick oven pizzas. The line inside can be a little chaotic due to the limited space, but family style seating tables help fit more people inside.
The pizzas are pricey for the neighborhood, but they are made to order fresh, and the flavor is great.
This place is far better than 2amys. Enjoy creative and delicious pizzas and salads.
Ordered from here so I can only speak about the food! Pizza was yummy, small but amazing selection of salads. I got the one with the butternut squash and the portion was very fair and filling!
Great pizza and wonderful staff, but I really miss their Hamm’s beer! No one else in DC had it. Please bring it back!
One of the best pizza in DC
My favorite pizza in DC. It's always busy, but you still get fast and good service. Good selection of drinks while you wait for your pizza.
I was truly excited to visit, the smell is so inviting as you walk nearby. A fun atmosphere and especially quick service, but the pizza is unremarkable, thus the lower rating.
Unique take with great variety. Fantastic pizza. The fox honey hot sauce was delicious.
I don't understand all the fuss about this pizza, it's good as it should be but didn't rock my pizza world 🤔. For the money La Villa Pizza on 14th St. NW makes a great pie and delivers. 3.5 stars. …
Easily my favorite place in the neighborhood. I live near here and the breakfast is not expensive and delicious, pizza is great, small bar is chill. All around great, and staff are really nice.
Nearly perfect. Outstanding pizza and an equally outstanding breakfast options. The small but efficient space is my only reason for not rating five stars.
Great neighborhood pizza joint ! I enjoyed my visit. Awesome food, great atmosphere, you can still talk to each other. Very reasonable prices.
This pizza is so good! The crust is chewy and delicious, and he toppings are fresh, seasonal and creative. I wish this place was a bigger.
So much fun activity
The employees are the best along with the absolutely amazing pizza and salads.
No wonder.my son and his family eat here often. They live just a few blocks away.
Pizza with spicy strawberry jam & bacon? Yes please!!! Petworth is lucky to have the best pizza place in town! Def try their cocktails and fresh salads
Such good pizza! I absolutely love the Penelope but every pizza I’ve tried has been so good!
Great pizza especially if you love thin pizza. Great sauce to crust to cheese ratio. Definitely what I would call "fancy pizza" - hits the spot!
Phenominal pizza and great local beers on tap. Do yourself a favor and order the gelato for dessert. It is amazing. This is a great place to eat and get to know ow a few new friend.
Great easy family breakfast on weekend mornings. The breakfast empanadas were delicious and they had a nice range of pastries. Fast and fun.
Every time I'm vending across the street at Cookie Wear, I get my breakfast from Timber Pizza. The bagel is my go to!
Easily one of the best pizza places in DC. Only caveat is they only do personal pies, but in my experience the better pizza places in the city only do personal pies (I'm thinking comet and menomale.)
We went here for dinner with friends on Saturday night. Although the place was slammed, the staff were all super friendly & helpful. They have vegan cheese (even though it isn't listed on menu) & plenty of veggies to top your Za with
Delicious wood fired pizza. Was here for an engagement event. Food was great, spare event room needs some love. Very sparse with no decoration whatsoever.
Excellent pizza! I was pleasantly surprised to find out they also have excellent salad
The pizzas we had were amazing! I loved the Smoky texture of the flavor.
Some of the best pizza in DC; no question. Cute place that can get crowded quickly. Come early and come on an off day and enjoy!
Great pizza and beer but definitely over priced for a simple pepperoni pizza. Empanadas were tiny but delicious. Quick service too!
There is no better pizza on planet Earth!
This pizza was very good. I really be hunting for a good brick oven pizza! They definitely on my list for best pizza!
This was by far the best pizza I've had in DC! The seating is a little sparse considering how busy it gets, but I guess that's the price to pay for good pizza.
Awesome pizza! The crust was light and perfect!
Great breakfast pop up. Dinner can get really busy even when ordering take out. However the food here is really good, whether it's the pizzas, salads, or pastries.
The pizza is great, and the salad to share is delicious and affordable.
These guys came to a 3 Stars Brewery event and i swear I can't remember tasting a pizza this good. LOVE IT. Brought some home for the wife to try but she never got a chance lol Don't tell her i wrote this!!
So-so for vegetarians. Regular pies without meat are pretty dry without the meat grease. Also, check the order twice before leaving the shop. Good empanadas tho!
Hip spot with boutique pizzas. Open beam ceiling, exposed brick wall, communal seating (rustic picnic benches) and dog friendly outdoor seating. Great for date nights or just a casual eat out.
Oh man, I cannot wait to go back to Timber. Amazing pizza (had The Lot, and definitely try the spicy pineapple sauce), communal seating, fast service. Would write more but I'm going to go buy more pizza.
It's good and all, but like most trendy spots, overpriced. You're paying for the vibe more than for the food.
Not only the pizza is great, maybe the best in dc area, the service is awesome, the place is always packed but their organization is awesome, you don't have to wait too long, and they have great bee
Pizza was amazing, although there is very little place to sit down and eat. If we waited, that would have been long, we decided to eat in the car so the waiting time was 10 minutes!
How do they make their dough so delicious and perfectly chewy? All the food is amazing, good beer selection, very chill vibe but super busy most weekends.
The service was quick and polite. The pizza was hot. The flavor of the pizza was not very good. Flavorless.
Good pizza but salty
Absolutely some of the best pizza i have ever had. Robust, good sauce on a very tasty, fresh crust, and gooey cheese.
This is the best pizza I've ever eaten. I always eat here when in NW DC. Small but worth the wait.
We had the Snoopy salad and Bentley pizza - both absolutely delicious. Wish I lived closer.
Best pizza in DC. Also catch their popup.
Breakfast is underrated. Pizza is great. One of the better pizzas in NW DC, price is where you want it. (Seriously, try the breakfast)
Great food, great pizza, great service!
Small area and great zah
Best wood fired pizza in the DC. The Bently and Pepperoni are my two favs. Beware lines can be long but move rather efficiently.
Had the opportunity to try Timber Pizza food at a function this evening where they were were catering, best shrimp ceviche and pork empanadas and the Pizzas were amazing. I highly recommend it.
Best personal pie in DC.
Great Pizza Joint in the neighborhood!
Pizza was incredible but the staff was rude. Maybe it was a West coast vs East coast personalities.
Ginger beer is house made and is amazing! Everyone is super nice! Pizza is delicious but too expensive.
Sometimes you have to wait a while, but the Bentley is delicious. Good selections of beers, but no Bud Light or Coors Light.
Timber pizza is amazing. Their pizzas are unique and absolutely delicious. Great local beers and drinks are also available.
I stopped by for dinner on Monday and was pleasantly surprised to discover the pizza was discounted pizza night! We got two pizzas, everything was delicious!
My new favorite pizza place! Beer -- amazing, empanadas-- delicious, salad-- fun and yum, pizza perfection!
I am overall very confused by this restaurant. It seems to be a pizzeria mixed with a Mexican bar mixed with a bagel shop, and the decor reflects all of these. The food is fine, but the drinks are too expensive.
Favorite pizza! Very cozy place. Outside seating. You have to try them!
Great gourmet pizza. They also have a a nice craft beer selection and quality cocktail menu!
Fun place. Great staff. Great pizza. Drinks were ok. I would go back.
Delicious pizza and good breakfast - bagels, empanadas, and biscuits. It does get very busy on weekends and there can be a long line.
OMG the food here is incredible and I highly recommend you try these guys out. Love everything about their food and it great for a family game night.
Excellent pizza, fun atmosphere, great neighborhood, and delicious weekend breakfast menu.
Great wood-fired pizza and a sneaky good place for weekend brunch munchies. The handmade wood oven empanadas are a must.
The pizza is really good. But we waited 1 hour and the people behind us got their order 30 minutes earlier.
Great local place. Have had pizzas, empanadas, and breakfast. All of it great. Good beer selection also.
Timber pizza did a fabulous job of catering our team party. The food was great and the service was stellar!!
Best breakfast empanadas ever 🤞 …
Yum! Great pizza joint in Petworth. Super small restaurant but they totally make up for it with their pizza and service.
Small place but Fantastic Pizzas and Empanadas. Very friendly staff. Breakfast empanadas also amazing.
Cozy venue with incredible salads and local beer list. Wine on tap is a bonus. Looking forward to trying breakfast.
Great pizza in a really cool setting (limited seating) but overall very enjoyable
Great pizza -- gets a little crowded and hectic inside, but its worth it. Definitely will be back.
Excellent wood-fired pizza and a decent beer selection. Limited seating, especially tough for people with mobility challenges.
Pretty basic pizza, about 20+ varieties of IPA/wheat/wit/hoppy hipster flavor beer. Everyone there seemed to like it.
excellent breakfast (biscuit and pastry are my faves) and the pizza is delish. excellent customer service.
They came to our neighborhood and gave me some of the best pizza I've ever had.
Easily the best pizza in DC. The only place I've ever seen lines out the door.
Great food great service.. the awards they have received for "Best Pizza" are well deserved
good pizza but very tight on space. come when it opens or be prepared to wait or order takeout
t GOD for timber pizza co.... really the only good pizza imo in DC. Their empanadas and salads are also good.
One of my favorite pizzas in the city. Great service friendly and quick.
Pizza was great! The wait wasn't too terrible, and the staff is very friendly
Can't get any better-super!!
The best Pizza in D.C. Also some pretty solid cocktails and a good selection of beer.
Make sure you go there with enough time but it’s worth the wait; the pizza delicious!
Amazing pizza overall. I think this is one of the best DC pizza spots.
This place has great ambiance, food, and awesome customer service. If you know you want a hot pie check it out, you won't be let down.
Amazing places, the pizza is thing, crispy, just delicious! Thanks guys we had a really good night
Online was intimate, great wood fired pizza, great service
Consistently delicious pizza! Time to bring back the pre-covid menu!
Good weekend breakfast place. Limited menu, but really good (no pizza in the morning, different operators of same space)
Excellent Pizza. Lovely service. Fun atmosphere ☺💗 …
Great teast, but a little pricy I think
Pizza was great. Wine was not. Atmosphere is casual neighborhood vibe.
Great atmosphere for a fantastic pizza and some drinks. Nice and cozy on a cold evening!
Pizza is just amazing. So happy we have a pizza place around our house.
Great pizza, a little pricey but yummy. Friendly staff!
Creative pies and great ingredients. Get the D&D and the green monster at minimum!
Best pizza in DC, better than 2 Amy's. With every penny.
Very cool, very good pizza but small and man does it fill up quick
Phenomenal! I lived in Italy for a number of years and can attest to the quality of the pizza!
Best pizza joint in DC, hands down. Expect a bit of a wait as it gets quote crowded
Love the pizza, love the salads, love the beer. Great staff who knows there product.
decent if you can make it there before the wait time for pizza gets ridiculously long.
The Bentley is amazing. Great pizza!! Best I’ve had in DC.
Really nice pizza, good vibe. Felt a little rushed as pizza arrived so quickly
Excellent pizza, excellent ice cream, excellent beer, excellent service. I will go back. Often.
It was crowded, but we were seated faster than anticipated. The pizza was delicious!
Really delicious gourmet pizzas with unique recipes. You can't get what they have anywhere else!
Still extremely delicious wood-oven pizzas and empanadas. Worth every penny.
Amazing pizza, service is incredible. Highly recommended if you like pizza.
Just a lovely place with great food, great dranks (yes dranks), and great vibes! Best seat in the house is the swing bench!
Good pizza and there salads are also good! Can get crowded at times but worth the wait
Comes Wednesdays to Flanders Ave Kensington very nice severs good pixx
My favorite pizza place in DC.
Awesome pizza, great drink selection, quick service, and fun environment!
Solid pizza and good atmosphere!
Great gourmet pizzas (though one of ours was a little burned), but recognize you'll be paying $$-$$$ type restaurant prices.
Unique and musing, love the food and the system for getting food to patrons, decor is a somewhat thrown together which works as a vibe, but the swing in the front window is cumbersome and makes guests uncomfortable when people try to use it
Love their food but never able to get a table. So we order carryouts which is fine.
Decent pizza but not worth the super long wait.
Absolutely incredible pizza, best I have had in DC
Excellent food. We...basically ate everything in one sitting. Great staff and atmosphere.
Amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere. My favorite pizza in the city.
Tasty pizza and a cozy atmosphere, but get here early or you'll be eating on the curb.
Solid wood fired pizza, great counter service, and outdoor seating that is dog friendly.
The best Italian pizza I've had.
Great wood fired pizza and hoping atmosphere. Good beer selection
The bentley is the best. But their plain old pepperoni is very good too.
Food is always great, staff are hard working and friendly, fun neighborhood spot that is TOO popular
I am addicted to their pizza. Weekend breakfast is great too.
Really good pizza, even better service. Will definitely return
Cool hangout for a different kind of pizza-evening experience. Located on upshur street NW dc.
Best pizza! Busy shop!
Wow. Call ahead for take out. Very popular. Excellent original toppings choices.
