Reviews of Menomale
Matilde C Calderon
This little Neapolitan pizza place is amazing! I went for on a busy Saturday for lunch. There was only one staff but the waiter was so efficient and friendly. Pizzas were so delicious and the portions were big enough for me to bring half home. The Cappuccino Truffle is like an ice cream with coffee truffle in the center of the ice cream ball. It was pretty unique and tasty!

Brought my whole family here, two daughters, 2 son-in-laws, 3 grand kids. Very close to the taste of pizzas in Naples, Italy. Fast service and excellent taste. Antipasto tray good to. The serve Menabrea beer from Italy oldest brewery in Northern Italy. Looks to be dog friendly as well.

I had been hearing good things about this pizza and knew I had to give it a try. Every aspect was delicious: the sauce, the cheese, and the crust. From my experience in Italy, I think it is some of the most authentic Italian pizza that I have had in this area. My one thing for next time is that I will ask for them to spread more sauce and cheese on or get some extra sauce for dipping the crust. There was a lot more plain crust than I prefer, but it should be an easy thing to get around when I go back.

Great place for pizza in Washington DC !For a family of six the bill came to 90 dollars! We ordered a Caprese salad and a Formaggi Della casa plus three pizzas! Food is excellent and we enjoyed the dinner!
Tip: they closed at nine pm and hence do go early to enjoy your meal at leisure

Authentic Napoletana pizza. Warm and friendly neighborhood atmosphere with excellent service. This is the new favorite spot for my husband and I. I wish I could keep it a secret, but the food is so good and you can tell the staff works really hard and takes pride in what they serve. Really enjoyed my experience here and we will be back to try more pizzas.

We went to menomale for lunch on a Saturday. We didn’t have to wait for a table but they were pretty busy. The apps were delicious - salad was great, beer selection was ok. Pizza was solid, very traditional Italian style pizza. Could’ve used more sausage on the sausage mushroom but the salami and olives together was a solid interesting compliment.

Giovanni provided my Hungarian family and Anerican friends an outstanding service, and with his sense of humor, charm and hospitality an unforgettable experience. The authentic Italian decorations and beautifully handpainted table provided a most pleasant atmosphere. His recommendations were perfect for our taste and the quality of the pizzas we ate were excellent. My 78 year old mother told him it was the best pizza of her life. It was, certainly, the best crust I have ever tasted. We will certainly come back again soon.

Best pizza in DC I’ve ever had after living here for 7 years. Very busy, but didn’t mind waiting. Service is excellent. My husband and I got burrata salad w/ prosciutto and the Brookland veggie.
Madeline Jetzer
Absolutely delicious authentic Italian food! Saw they had the certification for neopolitan pizza certification which was neat. We had the olive oil sampler, a prosciutto pizza (added arugula), and the spicy pizza (can't remember the name. The dining area is small but the outdoor seating looks nice. Will definitely be a regular here. Also their espresso dessert was delicious!

Back in DC for a wedding -- been almost a decade since I have came back since graduation, and I immediately felt that warm feeling from the host at Menomale as I was seeking refuge from a storm.
Little did I know I stumbled upon a gem, legit 9/10 pizza and Italian fare, excellent service, beautiful space and ambiance ..
This is a destination restaurant - don't miss out.
Cara Huether
This place was amazing! The handmade dough is out of this world. Would highly recommend. The service was top notch and the establishment was very clean. Please go!
Steve
The best pizza in the DC area. Such a great vibe and the staff is super friendly. It feels authentic and the food is absolutely delicious. 🇮🇹 Outside and inside seating is comfortable and cozy. Plenty of options to choose from on the menu. The appetizers are also great. We ordered the presutto with Bratta, it was heavenly. Then the margarita pizza. Yum. Definitely go here or order.
Kristin Calkins
Delicious food (perfectly chewy pizza crust), friendly weight staff. We’ll sized patio for outdoor seating is enjoyable. Definitely recommend to anyone is the area.
Jay Empty
Seriously might be the best pizza I have had; high quality toppings, great flavor combos, crust is perfect, and the desserts are amazing! The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly.
Caleigh Guoynes
Our favorite pizza place in DC! Their red sauce and crust is amazing. Love the specialty flavors—there’s something cool for everyone. The pizza scissors are so cool, too! They even gave my mom a dessert on the house for her birthday.
Mark Roback
Authentic Italian cuisine.
Great atmosphere, and the host was super personable with engaging conversation. Definitely one of the best pizzas I've eaten, rival's the pizza I had in New Jersey.
Debra Harley
Excellent food and service. My go-to for Margherita pizza when in town. Try the Coffee Coretto for dessert!
Shiva Koohi
Best Neopolitan pizza in DC! Ingredients always seem super fresh. I'm lucky to live in their neighborhood. Inside is a little small but very cozy. They also have a patio on 12th st. My favorite is the chef's special pizza, but the Diavola pizza is also very good.
Lars Cade
A great, cozy little pizza place where the pizza is strictly made to order. Want to swap one topping for another? No problem! Given the size of the pizzas, one pizza is probably enough for a party of two.
Christina Harris
Great little pizza place in Northeast DC. Several friends of mine raved about the food they had here and it’s only a few blocks away from my house so I went in to give it a try one Sunday afternoon. I love the fact that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Tried sitting outside but the mosquitoes eventually drove me inside. My partner and I had a couple of beers and tried the smoked turkey pizza. It was absolutely delicious! The crust was the perfect texture and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh! So happy I found this pain. I will definitely be back to try more of their delicious food.
Krishna B Kidambi
This place is in a small Neighbour hood. There is street parking. The place is small, but we were seated outside immediately. We got the Coccio as a starter. It was creamy and the bread with it was delicious. We got two pizzas The Diavola which was amazing and Chefs special. I did not like the later one. It did not have flavor to it apart from the cured meat. But the tiramisu was great, a perfect blend of sweet and coffee taste to it.
Jesus Cruz
So overall pretty good. Let me start off by saying this is the best pizza dough I've come across.
So I come in and order a pizza margherita, which I use as a starting point at any pizza place that has them. The taste was excellent, the texture though is a bit off. The pizza was a bit soupy and they go a little heavy on the cheese (there's more white than red). I recommend letting the pizza cool a little bit before cutting and eating. Again the crust was amazingly cooked.
The interior is a little lacking and cramped, although I don't know where else they'd set base in the area.
Overall pretty good but could be better
Dr. Zu
The food was good overall, could be better in terms of pizza integrity and the service could be better when it comes to making sure napkins, cutlery etc are available. I think the bruschetta could definitely use work (needs olive oil), especially for the price.
Nitin J.Sanket
One of the most authentic pizza I've had in a long time. Highly recommend the margarita pizza and chocolate truffle.
Gaurav Sharma
Friendly staff, great food. Our server really provided some good recommendations. Will definitely visit again.
Brittany K
If you like traditional napoletana pizza, definitely try this place. The crust amazing. They have vegan cheese, which you can get on any pizza. I liked the pizza a lot. We also got the Romana style pizza (deep dish) which I didn't care for as much, but it's definitely a style preference.
Tasha Gervais
Very small but lively, happy place with great pizza. Neopolitan pizza has a thin crust and is droopy and kind of wet in the center. Personally, I love it. Unlike other types of pizzas it's more about the sauce and toppings than tons of cheese (unless you get one of the cheese-focused choices). All pizzas come in one size, which is like a quite large personal pizza. They cost about $15 each. But you have to appreciate the artisan nature of the food. It was delicious.
Do Dang
Read a review that interested in a lobster pizza and also in the mood for neapolitan pizza but got talked into a calzone! Bummer they don't serve the lobster pizza anymore.
So the crust was very good, crispy and just the right amount of chewiness and not too heavy. The mozzarella had was smooth texture and slightly smoky flavor but a calzone needs more ricotta than mozzarella. The amount of prosciutto was sparse. It was so sparse and thinly cut that made the flavor bland.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. If I had more time may want to visit again to try the pizza. small place but good atmosphere.
Kylie Stamm
This is one of my favorite places I've been to for pizza in DC! The food quality and service is some of the best (ever!) - everyone must go! Everyone on staff was so kind to our very large group of 15.
Missy Durrett
We ate here on vacation and it was amazing! We got three different pizzas and each was traditional and unique. We will be coming back! The service was wonderful and chatty! I recommend highly!
Al Del Grosso
Some of the most authentic pizza I've had, as good as any in Naples. We had the Brooklandissima, with grilled vegetables and the Quattro Stagione. Fast, friendly and efficient service.
Andy Huang
One of the best if not the best Neapolitan pizza in DC / DMV area.
The service here is superb with all the staff being very kind and welcoming.
The pizza here is on par with Neapolitan establishments in NYC such as Roberta's in Brooklyn, Kesté in Manhattan, and Motterino's in Manhattan. The leparding is spot on with the constancy of the bubble size and amount, the crust is always a light brown and airy. The toppings are cooked very well and some develop the slightest char on them while being hot and integrity intact. The sauce is a very untampered with tomato that's tart and sharp, and the cheese is a great mozzarella that coats your mouth. One thing I would change is the salt content in the crust, it's not too noticable when eating ( you slightly can if you have only the outer crust on larger quantities), but afterwards you gotta chug some water, I think per 1000grams of flour they're using, the salt should be 20-25g rather than the 30-40g's you can taste. Definitely worth a stop by even if it's out of your way.
Granville Alan Mount
Great pizzas! Delightful waiter and a very comfortable terrace dining space
Bianca McLemore
Great Italian place for that authentic Italian pizza. Flour is actually from Naples,Italy.
RevDr John Trigilio
Superb and authentic pizzas just like in Italy. Not cardboard or sponge quality but real Italian Neapolitan. Service was A1. Peroni beer. Lots of choices. Pizza and pasta. Gelato 🍨 is terrific. Best pizza in DC …
Dani S
Easily top three pizza in the District. Seafood options are amazing!
Zbigniew Kostrzewski
Covit world doesn't alow for full experience, however the pizza was very good, with one exception - parts of the dough was not cooked evenly. The topping however was nicely done!
Jonathan Alfuth
Menomale is fantastic, great appetizers and pizza. We love their outdoor space, especially on rainy days. The pizza is wonderful and has such a diversity of flavors. This is where we bring everyone who comes in from out of town!
Frank Ding
A little expensive, especially considering how thin the pizza is, but truly DELICIOUS. The Diavolo pizza was the best pizza I have ever had, period. It's juicy with so much flavor. I popped by on a whim because I had a video shoot in the area, but I would love to return someday.
Erin Patricia
Pizzas were great. Service was good, but a little slow for a weekday afternoon.
Cara Jones
Really solid Naples style thin crust. Toppings are a little skimpy especially on the veggie pizzas but everything was delicious. Patio wasn't heated but was warm enough on a 60 degree day.
Miesa Myrick
Delicious! I travel often to Rome for work. Our meal tasted like Italy. We started off with a refreshing Aperol Spritz each then had the Margherita pizza 15 and a Quatro formaggi. The pizzas were cooked in their wood burning oven that looked imported from Naples. Afterwards we had dessert, the tiramisu and a Gelato tartufo nero. Finally, 2 excellent espressos. Highly recommended
Ronald Hunter
The food is so AMAZING that angels float down from heaven and sing when every course is served. If you have not been to Menomale, you do not know the meaning of a true Italian casual culinary dining experience.
John Miller
Found Menomale on our last night in DC,unfortunately as we had a fabulous meal great service & at a good price. Highly recommend & a special mention to Ajene our waiter !
France Tardif
WoW, just wow… this is the greatest Italian restaurant ever… the food is amazing and the staff is unbelievable!! Not to forget the owner that served us with such an amazing attention to details… we will stop by next time we are in the area . Thanks Giovanni!!
Cody Beckley
Had the best pizza of my life here. A must visit if you appreciate good pizza. Get the margaritha when you come.
Bob Nunes
Great pizza place 12 blocks from my house to my house great customer service cool people grade vibe
Timothy Torres
The pizza never disappoints and the service was fast too.
Jeremy M.
Enjoyed my 1st visit to Menomale🍕 The Vegetarian Mediterranean flavor will blow your taste buds away. Leaving you craving to come back. …
Cristiane Kimura
Best Neapolitan pizza in the DC region. In my opinion :) I also love the Limoncello Truffle.
Christopher Parker
Great little place for pizza. Everything I have had here was fantastic.
Mayra Salazar
First time visiting DC and we absolutely loved the food ...the pizza was delicious...we came to Noma location.... The staff was extremely efficient, they delivered quality and we will come again!!!! Highly recommend!!!!! 5 stars!!!!!!
Bailey DeSimone
The Brooklandissima was delicious if you're a fan of veggie pizzas!
petagaye andrews
Excellent Service and Authentic Italian pizza! Awesome Neighborhood find! Wine list also a fabulous find! One of our favorites in Brookland area!
Karen Miller
Excellent pizza and service...oh and beer good too. Highly recommend.
Roberto Ballo
The pizza was really good but the owner misrepresents a glass of regular wine -- I believe a run of the mill Montepulciano d'Abruzzo -- as Amarone. When I asked to see the bottle, there was, in fact, no bottle of Amarone (a delicious and very distinctive wine from Northern Italy, which is always identified as such on the bottle as per European laws) in the shop. They apologized but the bill came un-itemized, which meant that I would have had to go into another discussion to determine how much we got charged for the glasses of wine we got (the "Amarone" was $20 a glass which, for the real thing, would not be completely unfair). The bill was steep but we left, pleased with the pizza and a tad puzzled by the whole thing. Should we go back? The pizza is good, but maybe too much work and discussions for some baked dough with good stuff on it....
Jessica Long
Amazing Italian style pizza. The summer salad with nice and light and well dressed. The appetizer was very tasty! Great service and indoor and outdoor seating!
Phillip Harris V
One if my absolute favorite authentic Italian pizza places in the district, been going here since they opened up and recommend it to all my foodie friends who want some R E A L pizza.
Joe Marshall
Amazing pizza, best I’ve ever had. They do classics right and even offer some options for those who aren’t able to experience the joy of cheese on their pizza. That was actually how I found this place. My wife has a bad dairy allergy but loves pizza (I know...), so Menomale has their own in house cachew ricotta they can put on any of those classic pies.
Go. You won’t be disappointed.
Noura Khayat
I heard great things about this place and it did not disappoint. Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
Israel Mejia
Good menu like any pizzeria in Italy.
The pizza is delicious and it is real Neapolitan style.
Malcolm Mossman
Best pizza in the district, hands down. I went on a coworker's recommendation and two years later still can't get enough. Highly recommend the Vesuvius. Tomatoes are fresh, crust is chewy and crispy. Can't beat it!
Mary Dolbashian
Best Pizza in DC! This pizza is unlike any you have had anywhere in DC! It is exactly like the pizza you have had in Italy if you are lucky enough to have been there. The sauce has an amazing flavor that you won’t find at any pizza place around. Menamale is a must try! It doesn’t matter how long or how far you have to drive to get there.... SERIOUSLY👌❤️👍😊
Jeff Kryger
Excellent pizza, definitely the real deal! We also enjoyed the olive oil sampler. Service left a bit to be desired, but won't stop us from enjoying the food again in the future.
Colleen Delawder
Yummy pizza. Pizzas are a good size for one person.
Enrisa Reyes
Authentic southern Italian pizza place;the sauce was delicious and the crust was perfect. Am not a fan of chewy dough though, I like mine cooked slow and crisp. The place is getting to be really crowded but it's really a good taste of Italy! The staff were very helpful and did their jobs well. Defnitely going back to try the other dishes..
Mark Sullivan
Great meatball sandwich, with surprise side salad. Service was on point, air conditioning on a hot summer day was nice. Worth the trip.
Christine B
Excellent pizza! Thin crust. One of the best I've had and reasonably priced.
rosendo molina
Quaintly tucked away in DC’s burbs. Great service. We went late but was greeted and seated nonetheless. Pizza was amazing. Their draft beer selection was pretty good as well. Definitely a destination if you enjoy BOP! Google Kevin Hart BOP!
Jesse Crowe
Walked into the most authentic Italian restaurant in DC. Homemade pasta, incredible pizza, amazing gelato, and much more. Would come back. 10/10
Maggie Bird
Absolutely delicious and authentic pizza. Especially loved the crust and you can tell they use high quality ingredients on their pizzas. Ordered online, pickup was quick and easy!
Kameron Lineback
Its really good pizza. You can even watch as they wood fire it for you! It is however a personal size pizza, in my opinion. Although I am a bigger guy so that may have something to do with it as well. Ultimately A great place to take a potential date off the beaten path with some pretty great atmosphere and service, but I would not expect you to be feeding your family of 5 here for less than $12 a person.
In summary come for the taste but you might leave hungry.
Caroline Papanikolaou
Pizza was delicious, fresh thin crust, generous toppings. Also tried 2-3 appetizers that were very good. Service was excellent - our server Jose took great care of our group and when some items took a while to come (we hadn't even noticed time passing by:) he gave us a dish on the house.
Rick bullard
I had previously thought Timber had the best pizza. This place is better. The sauce is delicious. Sweet tangy tomato sauce. The dough is phenomenal. The topping really don't matter when those 2 main ingredients are aced. This is my new go-to.
Only complaint was service was missing for some gaps (we wanted more beer!) but we were the only ones sitting outside so maybe just an odd time
Erin Humphrey
Love this place, it's my friends (the pizza nuts) favorite place. We always over order because we can't make up our minds. The apps are sharing size, so order those for the table unless it's the warm dip...that's MINE!
Jonathan Katz
Probably my favorite pizza in the DMV. Perfect crust, excellent toppings, and wonderful texture. The staff are really nice too.
My recommendation is the Quattro Formaggi, which I've gotten for take out a fair few times. I also recommend the Barchetta Panuozzo, which is simply delicious.
Jason Castellente
This is absolutely a hidden gem of Washington DC. The pizza here is absolutely fantastic. Everything I had while I was here was really great. The wait staff and bartenders were all very friendly and helpful. It's a great hole in the wall date spot. I will say that we did have to wait a short time since there are so few tables inside and they don't take reservations. However in warmer weather there is more seats outside which I imagine would increase the capacity of what they're able to accommodate. Highly recommended.
Holly Dragoo
You will get to crave this place once you have tried it. Have been numerous times - never disappointed! Very attentive service, wonderful owner/mgr checks on you too if he's in. Possibly the best pie in town - certainly the most authentic neapolitan variety. Crust has the perfect texture & right balance of salt. Good Negronis too. Sad they did away with the gelato offering, but def plan for dessert there all the same. Excited to see them expand to a 2nd locale!
CarolAnne Poraczky
I am a pretty picky eater but they're cheese ravioli and pizza was beyond amazing! I the staff is super friendly and kind.10/10 recommend checking this place out while in DC.
Christopher Weatherly
Incredible service! I asked to have a pizza made with half vegan and half dairy cheese. The chef was so kind and creative to creative a little “crust barrier” down the center to keep the cheeses separate. Amazing!
Cory & Meg Greer
Warning: this is not American pizza. I did a really quick search, saw pizza & beer, and pounced. I was pleasantly surprised to find legit Italian pizza! It was awesome, the service was great. I will return. The only thing I would do differently is order wine instead of beer, because Italian wine is much better than Italian beer.
Carmen Graciela Díaz
Delicious and lovely pizza. We appreciated the great service and attentions we got. Grazie!
Vincent Ty
The pizzas we ordered were really good. They were thin crust but not crunch; instead chewy and flowy sauce. Quite on the high price. The server was engaging.
Christopher Tester
It was a really good napolitain pizza. Almost reminded me of the pizzas I’ve had in Naples. I should’ve had Aperol spritz instead of red wine. Then it’s be great.
Charlotte Lewis
This was really delicious pizza, perfect combo of cheese, sauce, and crust. Also, great drink variety selection.
Beware, it is a very small space. We waited two hours, for four people, to be seated, and received fairly poor service after that.
Try a week night if you're hungry. If you're happy to wait, plow on through to the weekend (they don't take reservations).
Chris Martin
I think of this as my upscale, "I don't want to cook tonight" place. Prices may be a little high for random Tuesday nights but the food justifies the expense. I particularly recommend the seafood salad appetizer - delicious and a generous portion. The pizza is also in my DC top three. Highly recommend!
Mate V
Best pizza in the DMV. The dough is heavenly. Light and fluffy not chewy like the dough at Two Amy’s. The cheese and the sauce greatly compliment it. Please do check them out. You won’t regret it.
Conor O'Brien
I was stationed at Naval Support Activity Naples in Italy before receiving orders to Washington, DC.
This restaurant is certified “Vero Pizza” a certification that is only given by Neapolitan Pizzolas - pizza certification board. It’s as authentic a Neapolitan pie as you’re going to get outside of the Campania region. Shoot... even Romans don’t have Vero Pizza!
The pizza is excellent and the staff was attentive. We were spoiled in Naples, a pie cost like €5, so the prices were a little higher, but supply and demand. Everyone and their mother is a vero pizza pizzola in Naples.
Coral Dirks
Neapolitan pizza is my all time favorite. If I'm going to binge on carbs, I want it to be worth it. Menomale pizza makes the cut. The dough is exactly what I expected: simple, thin, soft, and stretchy. Most of the ingredients seemed to be of high quality. However, the meats (particularly the ham) seemed like cut-up lunch meat and the red sauce tasted like the red Chef Boyardee sauce. I'm used to crushed tomatoes (little to no processing), but maybe this is how it is supposed to be done. I like that Menomale partners with another local vendor, Salumeria. Worth a try!
Fernando Blanco
First thing to note is that the place certainly stands out from the neighborhood it is located in.
First thing I noticed when I came in on a regular Friday evening was the fact that there was an Italian family in the place eating which is nice to have when judging authenticity.
Prices are on average $11 for a pizza , $5 for any drink that isn't water ($7+ for alcohol).
The pizza here is thin crusted and if you want to make your own pizza at home you can also get the dough sourced here.
We ordered a caprese salad which was simply delicious and sized well enough to be shared by two persons.
The pizzas here are similarly size about 12 inches enough for 1 person to be full, or about 70% for two persons.
The cheese and sauce here is simply delicious using delicious Italian tomatoes.. this has been the best pizza I've eaten outside of Italy.. and certainly better than many touristy places even in Italy.
Food is a 9/10
Price is a 8/10
Service is a 10/10
I will for sure be eating here again this week :)
Brian Hernandez
My wife loved the dairy-free/no cheese option of the “Marinara” pizza! While I enjoyed the “Margarita” pizza. Tried Menomale for the first time today and was very delicious!
Katherine Schweers
Incredible pizza that tastes like the best of Italy. The crust is absolute heaven! I can't recommend this place enough, such a gem. The staff is always kind and helpful, and the setting is quaint and comfortable. This is a treasure of DC.
Roshan Parikh
UPDATE:
I used to come here weekly, but I decided to stop doing so. One week, I ordered a quattro formaggi pizza as usual, but I did not get any of the delicious, strong gorgonzola taste/flavor. I noticed it was completely devoid if the characteristic blue marbling of gorgonzola cheese when I opened the box when I got home, so I was not surprised that it was lacking in that distinct gorgonzola flavor. I figured this was a mistake and they must have accidentally left it off that week. People make mistakes so I didn't think it was a big deal. The following week, I ordered from Menomale again and asked them to double check that this time, the gorgonzola gets onto the pizza. I checked the pizza when I was there and saw the same lack of blue marbling. However, the person who gave me the pizza told me that they made sure to put it on there this time. However, they were incorrect and there was no gorgonzola on it again. I emailed them through the website to let them know, but I never heard from them. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope the issue resolves on its own by now. Perhaps they have a new chef or someone who doesn't fully know what they are doing? Who knows. But I feel apprehensive about ordering from here again, as I don't want to keep wasting my money. I may give them another shot and update this review if things are fixed. They were the best pizza in DC in my opinion and I hope the issue resolved.
Jamal Watts
Their pizza selection is great. They even can provide sandwiches on the same sour dough used for their pizzas which is also good.
Not much space inside, but it becomes much less cramped in the summer time as there is outside seating.
A very enjoyable place to eat.
Rossitza Newhall
Awesome! The best pizza in DC! The restaurant has a very clean, streamlined and cozy appearance. Great pizza, craft beers, regional wines, salads. Antipasti- try the Coccio - my fave! Everything is prepared with high quality, authentic Italian ingredients by a specially trained chef, who is a certified Neapolitan pizzaiolo and makes pizza dough second to none. The red streetside patio is great for warm weather and even cold weather too! Convenient street parking. Definitely worth the drive!
Basil Hackworth
Absolutely delicious pizza and the beer selection was great too
Nathaniel
Not bad, but not great. I'm spoiled because of my real Italian restaurant across the street. But crust was good, too much red pepper too little salami, could have been cheesier. Friendly wait staff. I think the stools are trying for a hipster look but comfort should rule over style.
Timothy Fitzgerald
This little joint has some of the best Neapolitan pizza around! One should remember, though, that different regions in Italy have very different tastes and styles. So while a Neapolitan may not be the choice for everyone, I would definitely suggest giving it a try! I recommend the Diavola, it has a spicy kick, without being overbearing.
Harold Santiago
Amazing pizza, great crust, fresh ingredients, and flavor to remember. Definitely get your own pizza as you won’t want to share!
Karen Monken
The pizza tasted very good. But I ordered one pizza to go and they dumped the vastly diverse toppings (artichoke hearts, prosciutto, whole olives, mushrooms, etc.) in their own piles, so that to have each topping on a slice of pizza I had to redistribute with my hands. And tear the pizza with my hands too, since they didn't cut it. Weird and inconvenient.
Jonathan Shoaf
Pizza was really good, especially the dough.
John G
Pizza was really nice with fresh toppings. The Focaccia Bread isn't Focaccia Bread. It's only the pizza crust. I think you should either change the name or update the recipe. Focaccia Bread is doughy and delicious. This was more a pita.
Marzio Parboni
Hidden gem of real Neapolitan pizza!
We tried the Prosciutto cotto (Ham) and a calzone Rosso (with additional Parma ham).
Simply amazing. I’m so proud that our pizzaioli can make such a great pizza so far from home!
100% recommended!
Barbara Ungari
Delicious pizza, fresh ingredients, great selection of beers!
Seth Byrnes
The Calpine Verde was absolutely delicious! 10/10 reccomend going!
Sarah Penich
Best pizza ever! Great patio!
Mai Nguyen
Really cute pizza place in Brookland. You can't miss it with all the red. Service is very nice and super quick. The pizza itself is pretty good, I'd skip the margherita and go for the chef's special. The portions are supposed to be individual sized, but if you usually only eat two slices, I'd recommend splitting with someone.
Fernanda Caribé
One of the best pizzas in DC. This one is the Arugula and Prosciutto. All are really good, including the ham calzone and the bomba for dessert... excellent amount of warm Nutella in the pizza... yummy! I tried different pizzas flavors and all are super tasty!!! Highly Recommended!!! Their oven makes the difference in the flavor and crispy...
Emma Siani
Authentic Neapolitan pizza.Really good.

The hubby and I have been on a quest, since we moved back to the US, to find a Pizza that tastes like the ones we used to eat in Italy, after almost 28 years, we've finally found it. The joy after the first bite was overwhelming... wait let's back up to the aroma... when you're carrying that box in the vehicle and you get to smell it all the way home. A killer indeed!! We were so happy, as if we won the Lottery. Covid 19 messed up our Italian Vacation plans, but it didn't stop us from having the real deal not too far from where we resides. I don't work there, I don't know them, but I am from Italy and grew up having a taste of the best pizzas in the world nor do I get paid to write this or speaking of it to my neighbors, but let me tell you, If I could give them a 10 stars I would!! Thank you Menomale for making our life happy with your great Pizza and products.
Chris Harris
I liked it--I think I was too caught up in all of the hype to really fully appreciate it I think. It was just as good as most other high end brick oven pizza spots, so I would definitely recommend it. It is a wonderful addition to Brookland and hopefully it will drive more new business into the northeastern side of the city.
Gregory Leitzel
It's a very homey space. We arrived and had a good 20 minute wait for a table for four. We we're sat inside, two.seats on the wall bench and two on stools. They were busy, the table next to is had time to order and get their food! That's when their waiter noticed we still had our menus. When he checked in with us we mentioned we wanted our orders to go, instead of sticking around. He convinced us he could get our order in and out quickly... and he did! Between the express (and delicious) pizzas and the complimentary desserts (AMAZING lemon sorbetto and canolis!!!!), their customer service really won us over. Cannot wait to go back.
THE FAMILY - LA FAMIGLIA
The pizza, seafood salad, and sandwiche was great. However, the waitress was not friendly and made us feel unwelcome. Yung people works there and no one seems to care. To bad because the food was great. The owner should hire a good manager to oversee the operation. I will go back and give it one more try.

We found Menomale online and wanted to see just how authentic this restaurant really was. My wife's family is from Napoli so she would be the true test to see if this was really authentic AND good quality. Well, we were NOT disappointed! The food was fresh, flavorful and very authentic. We ordered Insalata Di Pesce and a pizza. My wife couldn't stop going on about how she felt right at home with the heat and humidity (we sat outside) and the amazing food that took her back to her childhood. Well worth the time, the trip and the effort to get there. And our server was wonderful too. :)
Jorge Alvarez
Great pizza and small town feel in a a big metropolitan city.
Madeleine Johnsson
Phenomenal pizza — and the first time I ate all of my crust!
Sean Kennedy
Great food, friendly and responsive service, unassuming yet lively atmosphere.
With the walk down from CUA.

I love this pizza place! It's neopolitan pizza (tho I've been to Naples/Pompei and the pizza is very different than what menomale several), making this restaurant one of the most unique pizza joints in DC. It's ideal to go in warmer seasons when you can sit out on their lovely patio. When I went most recently, the inside was a bit cramped and loud but that's no fault of Menomale, simply the reality of dinning at small resuraunts in colder months. The service can be a bit sluggish, but I've always seem the same servers, meaning they retain staff, which always makes for a better experience for everyone. The staff is always very cheery and helpful as well. Regardless of my minor nitpicks, this place still gets 5 stars from me because of the overall welcoming attitude and the absolutely incredible pizza.
One final note: last time I was there (3 days ago as of writing) I overheard a fellow dinner refer to the neighborhood as sketchy. Let me assure you: Brookland is NOT sketchy, and in particular 12th and Franklin St. NE is not a sketchy intersection. It's perfectly safe.
Jennie Light
Best pizza in DC! So yummy!! The Rosso calzone is a favorite as is Brooklandissima pizza. Check out the Italian market by the same owners a few doors down for fresh pasta, cheese, dessert and other to go items.
Aarti Bansal
Cozy neighborhood restaurant with decent Neapolitan pizza, great wine, and delicious bread! Touted with DOC/VPN Neapolitan certification, the Margherita pizza looked so scrumptious and promising, but underdelivered with poor execution. Although the ingredients were spot on, the tomatoes were too ripe and the pizza wasn't crispy and undercooked, and didn't have the pillowy crust that I had hoped for. There was something left to be desired.
The crispy focaccia herb bread was the highlight of my meal! I ordered the assortment of cured meats for my husband which came with homemade focaccia bread. The flatbread with olive oil sprinkled with herbs was bursting with flavor and among the best bread I've had. My husband enjoyed the salami and prosciutto and salami. The app also comes with goat cheese, red peppers, and olives.
For $15, the cured meats is a much better deal than the cheese sampler. Highly recommend the cured meats or just the focaccia bread!
I was disappointed with the cheese sampler. The dense scraps of crust and modest samples of hard cheeses (asiago, pecorino, ricotta, and a type of red wine cheese) were underwhelming. The grapes and honey were a miss and didn't quite complement the cheeses. I think olives, nuts, jams, and a variety of fruits would have elevated the flavor and paired better.
The Aglianico Wine was delicious. So glad that I snagged the last bottle! I couldn't find the bottle at Total Wine, would love to buy another bottle and enjoy it at home!
I love the casual family-owned restaurant and local neighborhood vibe, I just wish the pizza was as good as the bread!
Dustizle Hansome
As a 4-year resident of DC, I call this place the best pizza in DC. Ingredients are fresh, the cooking method is fast and flavorful, and the ambience is relaxed and welcoming. Not an obvious location for high-volume tourist traffic, so expect locals from the Brookland and Edgewood neighborhoods, and pizza aficionados from the DMV area.
Piero Manca
Only 3 stars because the Gluten Free pizza is not really a pizza, but some kind of flat bread with toppings. Regular pizzas are really good, with the right texture and perfectly baked
M U K T I . D E S A I
My favorite pizza in the city. Love this hidden gem in Brookland. It's definitely worth going out of your way and making a trip here. It's a really small place so sometimes it can get really crowded, but the addition of their patio has helped that to some degree.
Simona Ciampi
My favorite pizza place in DC. they are not stuck-up and act normally although their pizza is super. The ingredients are authentic and the experience inside is also. I am Italian from the region where the pizza was invented and I really recommend this place!
Mohammed Audi
Easily the best in DC
There is nothing spectacular about the place, staff or organization, except for the pizza. Proper Neopolitan pizza, fresh ingredients, dough baked perfectly. I'd write a longer review, but the essence of Neopolitan pizza is simplicity and finally a DC pizzeria gets it right.
Leah Judson
Sadly, in the best way, we're recognized as regulars - haha - so needless to say, we love the pizza there. Even if you don't have a car, take the red line down to Rhode Island and walk up to 12th street. Well worth the little trek. Make sure to check when they are open - I always seem to invite friends on the day they are closed. They serve their pizza with scissors which is always a fun experience - especially for kids. Indoor seating is minimal so I'd recommend getting there before the usual dinner rush if you want to avoid the cars rushing by. You can pretty much turn any pizza into a calzone. Also, next door is their Salumeria / Bakery so run over to bring home some goodies from their shop.
Nepi Willemsen
Deliciousness! Their pizza is a real treat, if you like thin crust that is. There is inside and outside seating available. Gets quite crowdy in the evenings. Definitely worth a try!
Joe Dixon
I visited Menomale simply on its ratings. It is totally understandable why so many before me gave 5 Stars. If I were 30 minutes earlier or 30 minutes later, I probably would have done the same.
I walked in on Friday afternoon, Sept 15th. The service even though I was ordering for take out was perfect. I really could not have asked for more.
They were moderately busy and the hostess focused on me, went over the menu and explained everything. It took about 10 to 15 minutes to prepare my two pizzas. I'm not sure how long of a wait it was as I was not timing them.
During the wait, I was invited to sit at the bar, watch TV and have a drink by three different servers. I really felt at home.
While waiting, there was a couple who had a small baby and the baby was really whiny. I know, there is absolutely nothing management can do but Menomale is a small, very small place and customers who sat the tables were visibly disturbed. The folks with the baby should probably have had there food packed up and done carryout.
Also, one of the servers was loudly complaining how long he had been working and only had two tables. Not a good thing to do with your client base sitting in front of you.
The pizza was fantastic. The dough and all of the toppings were obviously freshly prepared. The was no hint of anything frozen.
I will definitely return and give them an opportunity to earn the 5 Stars they deserve.
Chef Jorge Lopez
Place was busy we sat at the bar still great service and drinks! Is a small place so plan ahead. The pizza just the right size and filling one is great for two but if your hunger order two!
Zia
Yes, Menomale has the best Neapolitan pizza in the city, but it does not get the praise of 2 Amy's or Pizzeria Paradiso...probably due to the location. We have eaten just about everything there and it's all good. Our favorite pizza is the Diavola.
The place is small and cozy and there can be a wait but it's worth it. Service is friendly and prices are reasonable. Meno male!
Brandon Király
THE best neapolitan pizza in the metro area. Not only is it ridiculously delicious, it's certified to remain authentic to its Italian roots. You must try it for yourself.
You can even buy fresh dough to go.
DC Couple
Excellent pies - great addition to the DC pizza scene
Dennis Belov
Margherita pizza was pretty decent, Quattro formaggi was pretty soupy and last pizza we had was also just kinda messy and soupy... Also all the beer taps seemed off. The 3 different beers we had were all pretty flat. Could easily jump to a 4 or 5 star with some minor changes that make a big impact.
bobbie swann
Really good pizza. Service great. The carbonated drinks had no carbonation. The waitress had to search for a can soda
Wine, water and beer readily available
Peter Semler
The best pizzeria in the mid-Atlantic. Founded and run by Neopolitan Ettore Rusciano in Brookland, Northeast. His Italian alimentari (deli) also offers the finest selection of prosciutto, cheeses and other hard to find items. I have same Italian experience in Brookland that I do in Milan.
Austin Graff
The verdict isn't out on whether or not Menomale is better than 2 Amy's in Cathedral Heights, but the jury has spoken about the dough- BEST DOUGH IN DC. All Menomale's pizzas are neapolitan certified getting their ingredients from a certain part of Italy.
I ordered the prosicutto cotto (Ham) pizza and it was amazing. My friend ordered the Chef's Special, which is pizza with proscicutto and arugula on it. Both are great choices. And that dough...wow....it's perfectly hot and amazing.
Menomale also has cider on their extensive drink menu including a cider I've never heard of- Sonoma Cider from California (Perfect blend of sweet and tart).
The servers are nice and attentive. The space inside is a little cramped, but some say that adds to the feel of this place.
I'd go back to Menomale for sure!
Chuck Cohen
A small but very nice Italian restaurant. Four of us had four different individual pizza's and we were all happy with our choices. Staff was right on top of things.
Danny's Pet Care LLC
The pizza place Menomale is one of the best italian style pizza in Washington DC ,they have good selection of beers and a great white wine that goes very good with the food.
The people who work there are very friendly and the service is good.
They have tables inside and outside, Menomale is the kind of place were they can make your pizza fast and don't have to wait long time.
I recommend Menomale if you are a good pizza lover, is located in Brookland NE DC near by Rhode Island metro red line.
Cheers!
Danny
Daniel Ghanime
F#cking good food and service!!
Your welcome
Nidia Beltrán
They have a really good pizza!!... all the ingredients are fresh and taste!.. I love go to there! The staff is always so kindy. The best place to eat italian pizza in DC!
Sam Edelstein
I went here for the first time a couple weekends ago. It was busy, but I expected that since it is a new restaurant and I was there on a Sunday night. Oh my gosh it was delicious! The tomato sauce was absolutely incredible, the beer selection was top-notch (both local and imported), and as a vegan, their faux cheese and meat options were greatly appreciated. Living in Brookland, I am thrilled to see this restaurant open in the neighborhood!
Eric Hamano
Amazing ingredients, fresh pizza dough, incredible desserts. Inside tables are a little tight, especially for four. Changing table in unisex bathroom, booster seats for little ones. Delicious.
Marianne Dailey
Fantastic pizza...beats Two Amy's and Red Rocks hands down. While I love red rocks crust, their toppings are uninspired...not so with Menomale. In addition to this, bartender JB is an awe-mazin-mixologist. He'll whip you up a super fine cocktail that will tantilize your tastebuds. The beer list is seriously brilliant. Also, if you want more bread with your pizza order the infused olive oils before your meal. I havent tried their sandwiches, but they look delicious and are made with bread from the same crust/oven as the pizza so I'm sure they'd delight. The space is small, so on the weekends you might want to show up early to beat the crowds. Also, they have outdoor seating, so lovely for a few fancy beers in the afternoon. This place is worth heading over to Brookland to check out! OH and if you save room for dessert make sure to get their gelato swirled with limoncello...it's to die for!
jaynuze
Pizza was very tasty and the spot is kid friendly too! A little on the pricey side, but somebody has to pay for the excellent / fresh ingredients! Loved it
Steve West
Best pizza in DC. Been going there years. Always the best quality. Plus they have a great wine and beer selection.
Santiago Rodriguez
Well you don't need 2k anymore to go to Napoli and have great pizza. Menomale is hands down the best pizza in DC.
Dc is over run with crappy pizza but now real pizza is there. It was such a breath of fresh air to find such a great place.
Dana Yanocha
Pizza here is SO GOOD. It's obvious why Menomale is so popular. Service has been a bit slow both times I've been here, so may not be the best option if you're in a rush. There's also usually a wait, especially for larger parties.
Dot Molly
Not bad pizza, but could be better. Artichokes preserved in water will make pizza too soggy. I know they are cheaper than 'carciofi sotto olio', but Menomale is not cheap pizza. Bresaola in the antipasto was cut too thick. Menomale is good but not excellent.
Rodrigo Fernandez
This has to be one of the top 3 pizza places in DC. The staff is always nice, the restaurant is sort of small and crowded but feels homey and cheerful, and the pizza itself is amazing.
Connor Smith
Cozy neapolitan pizza place in Brookland with lots of free street parking options. Great date night place, really good pizza. Appetizers are small, but good rotating beer selection with local brewers (e.g. Right Proper). Try the Brooklandisima or Quattro Formaggi
Brian Smyth
WOW…. Best of the best, so glad we chose this place for our dinner…. Seriously, it was really good.
Dimo Aleksiev
Italian magic in DC. Healthy, too. Try for yourself!
Tris Newbury
Best pizza ever. I could just eat the crust on its own, unlike most pizzas. Then add amazing toppings! Great beer selection as well.
Vladimir Voronin
Used to be absolutely amazing pizzeria with Italian chefs. Now has turned into ordinary pizzeria with very overpriced pizza for the quality and pricey drinks. Would be happy to return once Italians are back.
Beth Fighera
Delicious salad, pizza, and tiramisu, and the service was warm and lovely.
Quincy
We enjoyed dinner here during August 2020. The food was great and the service was polite. We will be back to try more of their food, but highly recommend their calzones!
Michael Jones
Great pizza and Franziskaner on tap. The salad and cheeses were authentic and fresh. Casual feel, polite service. Hot spot, so be ready to wait
Jonathan Brier (wolfgang8741)
A small venue with very tasty pizza tucked away off of Baltimore Avenue. The staff is friendly and attentive. One of the best pizza places in the DMV.
Andrew Flaim
First and foremost, the service here was fantastic! The one waitress seemed a bit stressed but she did an excellent job of helping us. The pizza and sandwiches were also excellent.
Andreas Willems
Hands down, best neapolitan style pizza I have had in the DC area. If you are not used to this type of pizzas, consider allotting almost one full pizza per person.
Adam Thomas
Trendy little pizza place. We only knew it even existed because of a tipoff from our local AirBnB hosts in Fort Totten. Great pizza and a nice selection of craft beer on tap.
Daniel Cooley
Best pizza in DC! Very authentic at reasonable prices. My favorite pizza is the Diavola - delicious!
Paul V
Delicious pizza and beer. Only 4 stars because the diavola pizza wasn't spicy at all unlike how it was advertised.
Nilesh Shah
Best pizzas in DC!
Don Benkeser
Just great pizza! This is truly the best local pizza. May be a better pizza in DC, but I don't know where it is.
Jeff Walz
Great Neapolitan pizza. Good selection of beers. Not a fancy place but a great vibe. Service was outstanding.
Pier LaFarge
Fun neighborhood spot! The Neapolitan pizza is great. Amazing crust.
Carolyn Logan
Excellent service, upscale atmosphere, quality food w an authentic Italian vibe!
Mauricio
Great 🍕 Pizza
Wesley Guinn
Menomale is the closest we have been to Bella Napoli since living there recently. We wind up coming here again and again. Their Margherita pizza is spot on, and it is about the only place I can get Peroni on tap. Bravo, Menomale!!
Rebeca HeMo
Pizza was incredible and the services was also good. The only problem was ordering a tiramisu and getting a store bought one (light a yogurt). We complained about it and got it a discount but it was a pitty not having a complete hand made /traditional service
Ian Kitterman
Always excellent food. They often hire college students so the wait staff can be hit or miss but it is a small enough place that you never get over looked. Glad to have this gem as part of the neighborhood.
Ben Jarrett
Delicious neopolitan style pizza! Several flavor combinations and numerous toppings. Most authentic truly Italian pizza in dc.
Mike Ferraco
The pizza was amazing! Definitely want to go back and would recommend it to anyone. If you like neopolitan style pizza and an authentic italian dinner you should try it!
Charley Varipapa
THE BEST NEAPOLITAN PIE IN DC BY AUTHENTIC NEAPOLITANS!
The Best crust, the best tomato sauce, done right, the best mozzarella.
Simply the best pizza that can be made in the USA.
Mary Petrino
Food deserves 5 stars. However, dining room acoustics get 1/2 star. It wouldn't take much to put backs on chairs and sound-attenuation panels on the walls.
emilio sanseviero
Amazing Pizza and vreat quality ingredients. Is one of the few places where I found a real buffalo mozzarella
Sharon Seekins
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. We totally enjoyed our meal!
Eugene Kim
If you want a real neopolitan pizza, char and all this is the place to be. Deliciously crisp and chewy pizza with fresh ingredients.
Jacob L. Perry Jr.
Best Neapolitan pizza you can buy in this area! Hands down! I've had better pizza at Menomale than I've had at similar spots in Rome, Italy.
Gregory Moore
Really good pizza. Worth trying out.
Ryan Walsh
Great pizza. I ate a whole pie for myself and I don't usually do that so you know it's good. It's really thin crust so one pizza probably won't feed two people. The prices aren't outrageous so two pies won't break the bank. The tables are small and the chairs are backless. This can lead to some issues when trying to coordinate multiple pies. The chocolate trifle was delicious.
Chris Allum
My favorite pizza spot in the DC area. Great Neapolitan style pizza!
Crema Guru
The best pizza in Washington HANDS DOWN. Try the Terra or the Quattro. Everything is delicious and made to authentic Neapolitan standards.
Paul
Great authentic pizza. But be prepared to wait. Staff was really busy but still served us water while we had to wait.
Paul G
Great food but you guys gotta get your s*** together updating patrons who drive long distances about hours. Figure out how to update your website or however google figures out your hours so you’re not wasting people’s time.
Hope Elmore
The food was delicious, I recommend the Terra! Our waitress Chloe was great she was very attentive and kind.
Justin Hempstead
New to the area and visited Menomale for lunch. The authentic Italian cuisine was amazing. The restaurant staff showed great customer service as well.
dipika
What I liked most about Menomale is how unassuming it is. It doesn't stand out despite being the only restaurant of it's kind in the neighborhood, but the food is good, the drinks are good, the staff is friendly, and the vibe is friendly. It's not the best food if its kind even among DC restaurants, but you'll leave satisfied and be glad you went.
magdalena parol
Maybe it’s not fancy restaurant or elegant but pizza is excellent. It’s just the way it supposed to be! 5 Star because pizza is delicious and waiters are kind and nice. 😉😉😊 …
Gryffin Eason
Wonderful quality Italian cuisine. Rich flavors on a relaxed patio. Reasonably priced, with friendly staff. A great find!
Abi Hutch
I had great customer service and the quality of the pizza was fantastic. A great intimate setting for a date or a small group of friends.

Once in Napoli, I had the best pizza of my life. This place makes pizza just like that. And we have it right here in DC.

Joanna Lampe

Jorge Berges
Amazing! Authentic wood-fired pizzas, great community atmosphere, delicious seafood salad.
Nate Dolan
The pizza was very good but, for me, the highlight were the cannoli I had for dessert. So good.
Jay Gopal
Pizza was very good. But gets crowded so make reservation ahead
Amy
I get the gluten free which is good, my husband raves about the "regular" and he's not much of a pizza guy.
Jared Lynch
Good pizza. Crust could be crispier and cost is more than I would like. But worth supporting local spot.
Sick Lid
Tasty Pizza. Cozy Neighborhood Spot
Ericatthebarrack
Very nice pizza varieties. Recommend sitting outside. The indoor seating is cramped.
Luis Martinez
The pepperoni pizza was delicious and would come back but the price is a bit high for its pizzas especially with added toppings and I could go to blaze pizza and get the same quality for half the price
Jonathan Silver
Really really good pizza and sandwiches, one of the best traditional style pizzas I've had in DC. Really really good.
Ammu Zachariah
I'm not a big fan of Pizzas. But, they have something different. My Italian friends say it's authentic. So must be true, right? ;)
Makeda V
Reliably tasty & fresh pizza and other traditional Neapolitan offerings
Laura Stefanelli
Pizza dough and flavour was good, but it arrived cold. Very noisy place and not very spacious.
Angie Gray
Authentic NY Pizza here in DC...FINALLY 100%worth the 50 minute drive. Love it!!
Jean-edward Leconte
If you take your food to go make sure to check out the market they have a couple doors down. Great pizza fast service.
Edwin Zhao
Crust worth eating on its own. A gluten glutton's delight. Salad was a bit phoned-in.
Irina Moi
Food is absolutely great, but the service is completely opposite. You have to remind to bring a fork for the salad, sharing plates, napkins and generally everything else, and then wait a while.
Anna Wooten
Some of the best pizza in the city. Enthusiastic staff, cozy environment, worth the wait.
Emily Sheil
Best Neapolitan pizza in the area, we keep coming back and bringing new friends. It really puts the competition to shame.
Joshua Brown
The most authentic Italian pizza I've had in the states!

Great pizza! Salumeria is also wonderful. Do yourself a favor and come here for the pizza.
Sajjad Burney
Loved it pizza different but really good my host was kool enjoyed the atmosphere.
Gabriele Brambilla
A good Italian pizza in a quiet place
G Marie
I was looking for somewhere to watch the Redskins and Eagles game. Found them while driving on my way downtown. Called. They were polite on the phone. The place was full. I sat at the bar and the bartender Tanesha was very nice snd has been there for 3 years.. The pizza ingredients are very fresh. The sauce has a very adult taste and the crust is sooooo soft. Like eating fresh baked bread. Lots of beer on tap and top shelf drinks. No sports on the big screen. I understand it's not a sports bar and if they were showing sports well it would change the feel. This spot is for locals that want to eat good pizza, drink and not be far from home. Bon Apetit.
chuck babbey
It was a nice spot. The service was pretty good. The pizza was good. And the draft was flowing. What more can you ask?
Jennifer Richards
Authentic menu and decor. Great friendly staff. You may have to wait for a table but it's worth it. Bonus points for having vegan cheese.
O
Excellent pizzas, friendly staff, i felt like I was in Europe. Will be back for sure!
Fr. Philip-Michael F. Tangorra
True forno a legno pizza neopolitana! The pizza is great and done in the true Italian style with a thin crust in a wood burning oven. The variety of craft brews are greatly appreciated and my friends like the wine. The insalata di mare/pesce is very good and my favorite appetizer.
