Wow I accidentally found my new favorite place to eat!! I sat down for a beer and left eating an amazingly cooked Shrimp Poboy. The beard was perfectly toasted and buttery “Yum”. I could have just eating the bread but then I got some of that wonderful crunch of the breaded shrimp. My mouth was dancing with flavor and crunchy texture . I was personally greeted by the owner and treated me like family. The staff was friendly and attentive . Let’s just say I will be coming back again and again and again. Can’t wait to try the lobster roll and crab cakes which they are famous for!!!

Really great little spot. We stopped by for lunch. The staff was so friendly and attentive!! The restaurant itself appears small, but they have seating outside and upstairs, plenty available for a weekend lunch. The shrimp Po boy and hush puppies were outstanding, fried to perfection. The manager was telling us that the lobster is shipped regularly from Maine and the crab is locally sourced. This is a really great place for seafood in the area.

Georgetown Seafood is a must especially those that are just in town to frequent the amenities Georgetown DC has to offer. The inside of the restaurant is so clean and organized. The employees were so inviting and helpful. The least i can give is a 5 star.

The food was excellent, and so was the service. I had the shrimp po'boy with fries, and my partner had a fish sandwich. Both meals were fantastic. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and is very clean. I will be back for sure. Thanks for the beautiful experience!

In an era where many restaurants are trying to capture their own niche, Georgetown Seafood really stands out from the rest. It's a small, locally owned business and it, quite frankly, offers some of the best seafood I've ever had (and I've eaten lots of seafood). I had the good ol' standard fish and chips. The batter was THE BEST I have ever had. Ever! Beyond this, the place is spotlessly clean, well lit, and has a friendly atmosphere upon entering. The staff made us feel like we'd been family for years, and they were accommodating to any need. You could tell they really cared if we were enjoying our meal and the experience. I can't think of a single negative comment to make. If you like seafood, great people, and good prices head on in. You'll be glad that you did!

If you are ever in Georgetown and you are craving crab cakes and lobster rolls there’s only one place to go. Georgetown Seafood. Jake n Darell will serve up the most incredible crab cake. Actually, it’s a crab sandwich on a brioche bun. ( there’s no cake or fillers) just big chunks of juicy, tender sweet crab along with their secret spices. The lobster roll is equally fabulous!!!!

Great seafood and great friendly service! We had a great time and if we lived locally would be here all the time. We had the lobster roll (no Mayo), clam chowder, fish nuggets, hush puppies and a piece of fish. All were delicious!

Arrived 5 min before restaurant closing. The staff was super nice and allowed us in. Ordered lobster rolls, clam soups and fish nuggets. All very fresh and incredibly delicious. Will definitely go there again and again. See for yourself.

Wonderful staff! Comfortable decor and seating. The food is A+ great. We had crab cakes which did not skimp on the crab and the fish and chips which were in a crispy tasty batter with flaky wild caught Codd. We will definitely be coming back here next time we're in DC.

This was my first time coming to D.C, I have been staying in Georgetown and quite frankly I was disappointed with the quality of food and cleanliness in many of the restaurants. I stumbled across Georgetown seafood the day before having to leave the city back to Wisconsin and my only regret is that I didn’t find it sooner ! It literally made my week! The staff was so friendly and welcoming, the food was top notch, delicious and fresh tasting. The place was nicely organised and clean. I will for sure be back, it was such a pleasure and a great experience. Thank u!

A casual gem for delicious seafood! Lobster roll meat comes from Maine and it shows. Delicious chunks. I got it with butter and thought it was perfect. The menu had a lot of options though, including crab cakes, fish and chips, clam chowder, lobster bisque, po boys, and so much more. Owner was really friendly and personable. Will come back!

Let me tell you! We’re from Pittsburgh down here visiting and my love for seafood drove me to try this place out and it did not disappoint! The food quality was amazing, customer service was impeccable and the owners are such a joy. You need to visit here. Some of the best seafood in Georgetown. I stopped by and had to try a lobster roll and lobster bisque. None of it disappointed at all. The taste was spectacular. I had a shrimp roll as well.

This place is AMAZING! The restaurant itself is clean and cozy with a nautical flair. The manager Jai who tended to us was the loveliest lady made our experience wonderful. The aesthetic of the place awesome and the service was top notch. Everything was great until we got the food. That is when things went from “this is a cute little place” to “this food is amazing and we need to come back!”. The Lobster bisque was so flavorful, and the lobster roll and lobster grilled cheese were mouth watering. 10/10 would definitely recommend. Thank you Jai for an amazing experience!

This restaurant is so cute. My friends and I loved the cozy, intimate setting. Staff was very welcoming and festive during the holiday season. We ordered the mayo lobster roll and piña colada. Darryl was our server and provided us with some historical facts about the food on the menu. Definitely coming back here!

I wanted to like my fish and chips, but the batter was over fried. I had to just pull most of it off. BUT the fish itself was good, so I'm hoping I just got a random over fried batch. My spouse got the lobster roll and loved it. The fries were also tasty.

So happy I visited this cozy restaurant. Had the crab cake entrée and lobster bisque with extra lobster pieces … soo tasty!! Loved the coleslaw that came as a side too. Learned that they prepare everything the same morning, no wonder the freshness! Highly recommend anyone who wants amazing food and great service. The place is very nice and clean with outdoors and two floors sitting area. Will have to come back and try their famous lobster roll!

1st visit: 7/20/2022 Lobster roll perfection! They have 2 types of lobster rolls: one with mayo & celery, another with lemon butter. I ordered the lemon butter one & it was delicious. The best lobster rolls let the lobster meat speak for itself & the meat was tender & fresh. And the portion of meat was generous. That lobster roll is amazing!! Prices were reasonable. I definitely want to come back & try other things on the menu. Update: 10/15/2022 Tried the oyster po boy with a side of French fries. The po boy was ok. I think it needs more oysters. And I would've preferred less sauce on the sandwich itself. Didn't wow me like the lobster roll. Came for lunch. They were understaffed so service was a bit slow. I dined in & also requested a cup of water with ice & lemon. The server never brought my water though. I'll be back because I want to try everything on the menu though, lol Update: 10/22/2022 Came back for lunch. A toasty fall day in Georgetown so I sat at the outdoor tables this time for lunch. I like the thoughtful touch of having insect repellent at the table. I've gotten mosquito bites in Georgetown before. So annoying. Anyway, they hired more staff so service wasn't slow this time. Servers were attentive. I ordered small New England clam chowder & single jumbo lump crab cake with French fries. It was good...seasoned, but the taste of fresh crab still came thru. Crab meat was tender. Remoulade sauce on the side was delicious. Glad the sauce was on the side rather than on the crab cake. Cole slaw was crunchy. I wish the New England clam chowder had more clams in it. So the chowder was just ok. I'd say the crab cake was better than the oyster po boy...but the maine lobster roll (the first dish I tried here really outshines all other menu items so far) Update: 1/10/2023 Ok. I'm done ordering other things on the menu. Just get the maine lobster roll & a side of French fries. It's the best thing on there. I tried the fish & chips and like the other menu items, it was just ok. The maine lobster roll really is their star. If only tried the lemon butter version because I don't like mayonnaise.

Excellent addition to the neighborhood. Great food, and very reasonably priced for what they offer. Plus, they have Heinz ketchup (and Bob Seger and Billy Joel playing on their muzak!)... Great little user-friendly layout to the joint, and there's patio seating. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things! I can’t decide if the best part was the fresh seafood and crispy fries or the genuine, friendly manager Darryl. Very reasonable prices, and the window seating is so cute and has plenty of outlets if you’re looking to stop and work for a while. Will absolutely be coming back!

This place is such a gem. I got the regular lobster roll with no mayo because I just wanted to let the lobster shine - and boy did it shine! The fresh lobster is also surrounded by a perfectly soft, lightly toasted warm bun. Amazing, best lobster roll I’ve had in a while. To top it off, they’ve got the best service with the friendliest staff. The day that I went, they were a little busy but the waitress’ attitude was upbeat and warm! Go check them out and show them some love, you won’t regret it.

Great place! Not too busy. We had the seafood combo, lobster bisque (with lobster meat added), and fried oysters. I loved how crispy the cod and shrimp were! Not limp and greasy. Dad said there could have been more lobster meat, but he liked the bisque itself. Mom said the fried oysters were 7/10. We all loved the hush puppies!

This was our first time here and we will be back! The food was delicious and the service was absolutely wonderful. Our family of three tried the single crab cake meal, a lobster roll, clam chowder, salads, and hush puppies. We enjoyed everything and wished we had ordered more the of the hush puppies. We came close to closing, but never felt rushed to leave. The food was wonderful, but the friendliness of the staff was even better!

Small seafood restaurant along the street but cute patio seating. Great service! The owner/host/waiter was a gem! He was extremely hospitable. Food was great. We got two lobster rolls (no mayo option) and a fish-n-chips with sweet potato fries. Rolls were overflowing with lobster fries were a knockout. The fried fish was not too thick but way tasty! Small little spot right off the main strip in Georgetown. Service was good we didn’t wait long for our order. The food was pretty good the shrimp po boy was really good the bread was nicely toasted and buttery along with delicious fried shrimp they use a Panko type breading and the shrimp was pretty and meaty . We also had the clam chowder it was decent nice and thick ( not runny like some places ) but was missing that clam taste and the potatoes were a bit to thick. They have chairs inside downstairs and a few upstairs . They also have seating outside but it’s getting cold so I’m sure that won’t be out much longer.

My mom and I were in the area and saw this place while driving around so we decided to stop and check it out. The decor reminded you of something off of a ship (so it was true to the seafood theme,) and the service was excellent. Everyone was pleasant and hospitable. We decided to order the crab cakes and they were amazing! It was like a foodgasm in my mouth! I believe the chefs name was Jake, he came out to make sure our food was to our liking and he was very pleasant. Overall I was thoroughly impressed for it to be a small business. 10 out of 10, would highly recommend!

We stumbled into this place, hungry and needing a break from the Georgetown bustle. They serve great food, reasonably priced, witha friendly and accommodating staff. The cod fish sandwich was perfectly fried, crispy and not greasy, nicely toasted bun. The lobster roll was packed with sweet Maine lobster. The clam chowder is rich and creamy. I’m really picky about seafood and I was impressed!! The fish here is FRESH!! Try the hush puppies, best I’ve had. Give it a try once and you’ll be back!

This place is exactly what Georgetown needs. Quality seafood in a casual setting, that isn’t some national chain. Everything we’ve tried here has been terrific, including the lobster roll, which is my wife’s favorite in town. The folks who run the place are so nice as well. I’ve had the pleasure of chatting with them a couple of times now, and can sense they take real pride in their food and value their customers. We will def be adding Georgetown Seafood to our list of regular spots.

I can't say enough good things about this neighborhood gem. I felt so welcomed and attended to during my dine in, the food was delicious (try the lobster bisque and the clam chowder!) and the place pristine clean. Prices are reasonable too. I was very impressed and will definitely make this a favorite place to frequent.

Absolutely delicious!! Have walked past a number of times since they opened and finally stopped and ordered. So happy I did. We all LOVED the food. The fish and chips get an A+! We ordered many menu items and don’t have anything negative to say. I’m happy we live a few blocks away because I plan to go back often. Lastly, not only was the food good, but the staff were lovely. This was our first time here. We both got the lobster roll warm with no mayo. This roll was super delicious with great flavor. The lobster was super fresh and cooked perfectly. We also had the hushpuppies and the sweet potato fries. Both were delicious and very light. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of this restaurant was amazing along with being a warm welcoming feeling. The pictures on the walls were awesome and had a story that went with the food being served. Had a wonderful time and meal here! The owner is the best and so friendly and warm! The staff was very helpful and accommodated my whole party of active teens and it was also my daughter's 16TH Birthday the day we came here. Got the fish & chips (fried well, not a ton of fish though), calamari (…good enough, I guess), and hush puppies (I liked them but everyone else was unimpressed). Jai was such a joy to work with. Helped assist me in what food would be best to order. Exceptional service and furthermore, exceptional food. They really have this place dialed in. Not too salty, not too light. The perfect crisp fry and the crab cake was CHUCK full of blue crab and absolutely NO SHELLS of any sort in my crab cake. That in itself is worth review. I can't tell you how many places promise no shell only to go home and spit them out as you eat. They served the food with care as if it was coming from home. Great food, grear people, great location. Perfect place to sit and enjoy Georgetown. This little hidden gem has a nice patio area just off of M street, so you can sit outside on a beautiful day, or a cozy indoor space to enjoy a nice meal on a colder day. Our sides were cole slaw, sweet potato fries and hush puppies. The food was great. The manager Jai was very friendly and helpful. There are photographs of fishermen and working wharfs from up and down the Atlantic Coast. Great to see pics from places we love - Tybee Island, GA AND mid-coast Maine!

Stop into this place on passing just to check out the menu. The manager (Jai) explained in detail how each item on the menu was prepared and tasted. I was allowed to sample the chowder and Lobster Bisque which both tasted great. Although I wasn't to hungry at the time, Ms. Jail was very convincing of how good the food is so I ordered the oyster po boy and the claim chowder for my wife and glad I did. Lobsters were so fresh, sweet and the brioche bun was complemented the fresh lobster so well - definitely one of the best I’ve had :)) The clam chowder soup too was excellent - creamy, rich and full of clams (definitely worth the $$)! Prices very reasonable in all - $22 for a lobster roll, $6 for the small clam chowder soup. Definitely worth given the excellent quality of the food :)) And not to mention the warmth and kindness of the waitstaff!! In all a really really great place to stop by for a quick meal after walking around Georgetown :)

Fantastic spot, we'll be back again soon. Lobster roll and crab cake are 10/10 - very fresh, seasoned just right, tasted great, and good size servings to boot. Sides (fries, slaw, hush puppies) are similarly great (I'm not usually into hush puppies but loved these). Patio/streatery is very pleasant, and to top it all off it's run by the nicest people!

You can tell very quickly when a restaurant cares about their customers. At Georgetown Seafood, you could tell in half a sentence. I am visiting DC and wanted some easy, well priced seafood that was casual. This checked all the boxes and then some. The lump Crab cake sandwich was full of real crab, no imitation. The roll it was on was warm, soft and complemented it nicely. Remoulade, awesome. Coleslaw, awesome, crunchy, fresh and not swimming in mayo. Salad, fresh and yummy. Staff and service, excellent. They have been open 4 months and they are going to get real busy as the word gets out. The atmosphere is great, the restaurant is clean as a whistle. Seating outside,and inside on 2 levels. This is a must do, I'll be back

Ordered the Maine Lobster Mayo Roll and my wife had the Shrimp PoBoy let me say they both were absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Full of flavor and prepared from some of the freshest ingredients from the lobster even to the shrimp they all tasted like they came right out of the water. Everything was extremely fresh and meticulously prepared from the rolls used in their PoBoys even down to their vegetables they used all were extremely fresh. Service also was amazing even the cooks Sammy and Jose made sure we were totally satisfied by coming out and checking on us. If you are ever in the Georgetown area and have a taste for some fresh seafood in casual atmosphere make sure you checkout Georgetown Seafood.

I placed a takeout order. I had the lobster bisque soup with extra lobster meat, fish and chips, and hushpuppies. Despite the good service, I do not recommend any of the dishes I ordered. The fish with the tarter sauce was okay but the fries weren't hot (it also came with a shrimp tail). The soup had like 4 pieces of the lobster meat (even though I paid extra) and the hushpuppies were okay. I only saw 5-star ratings before I decided to go in, so I'm posting this comment so other people who read these reviews will be aware. My subtotal was $32 with $3 tax and $3 tip, totaling $38.

I live less than a block from Georgetown Seafood, and have been eagerly awaiting their opening! So glad they're up and running -- everything is excellent. We've been back 2x already in the less than 2 weeks they've been open! Fresh and quality seafood, friendly staff and service, and a beautiful dining space! Be sure to checkout upstairs! My wife and I love their lobster roll (it's significantly better than Mason's) as well as their salmon salad. The manager, J, will make sure you're happy and have what you need!

I had it all with my seafood lover self. Ordered the fish, shrimp, and lobster roll. All of it was hot and delicious. The crabcake had hardly no filler just lump pieces of crab meat.The lobster roll meat was fresh. The shrimp was jumbo and crispy. I live in NC. Just here for a graduation. Will be back when I visit again. One more thing the staff is super nice. For DC they give you the southern hospitality.

It was a hit and miss the day I decided to go for lunch. I really lucked out. It wasn't very crowded so the wait wasn't very long. A very pleasant and diverse staff. We popped in here to get shelter from an insane storm. The hospitality was through the roof! Thw staff were so warm and welcoming and the food was incredible! We had the fish nuggets (don't let the name fool you, they are more like balls of fresh fried cod that is so flakey, and the breading is perfect) The lobster bisque tasted so diffrent the any I've had, and I have to say it's the best I've had. 👌 Last but not least, we had to try the lobster roll. Mind blown! A lot of people add mayo to their lobster mixture and it can compete with the flavor of the lobster. But at georgtown seafood, they just have an amazing buttery type of marinade with very generous piles of lobster. Best lobster I've ever had, of tou didn't already guess! The prices are great and they have a full beer, wine and cocktail menu that I can't wait to dive into next time I am back!
