Super tasty seafood that you get by the bag full! We got the family 2 with the Twisted Sauce and it did not disappoint! We also got the unbreaded garlic Parmesan wings and the fried oysters which were absolutely delicious also.

Family sunday funday was amazing, we had a great lunch date, the fried Cajun wings was amazing and you get so many, hot fresh fries with ol bay Seasoning, fried crab cakes fresh and full of thick crab meat, the seafood boil bag was delicious shrimp, crab legs, oysters, corn, sausage, potatoes mmmm so so good, oh let me not forget the nice music, at another table we heard the birthday song celebration from the nice staff, loved it, definitely coming back

The food was really good... I unfortunately didn't expect to be allergic to their creole sauce, definitely not their fault, because it was so good!!! The Catfish was melt in your mouth delicious!!! Would have loved our waitress to check in on us a little more... The area we were in, there were two waitresses that were more active for their guests. However, all in all... Twisted Crab was pretty good... And I will definitely try again...

My favorite restaurant! The service and the food are amazing. Mandy and Will are the best! I always get snowcrab legs with potatoes and corn with medium twisted sauce and a grinch punch, and it's perfect every time.

Soooo yummmmmy! Get all the sauces together for "twisted butter" and choose your spice level. Got a crab leg and shrimp bag with mild twisted garlic butter 😋 gotta get xtra potatoes and corn. Will definitely be back the next time we're in VB!

The food was delicious! The drinks were awesome! Great service. It's a bit pricey but reasonable for good seafood. The Lynnhaven location is nicer than the Chesapeake location. We got 2 lbs of crab legs and hush puppies. The crab legs were freshly cooked and not rubbery. The service was outstanding, especially these days a lot of establishments try to excuse poor service due to staffing issues. It's refreshing to go out and get great service. We will definitely be back!

My family of four had a wonderful lunch experience at the Twisted Crab today! We ordered two of their special combos — T1 and T3 split across the four and it was PLENTY food for us! My wife and I got the combo in twisted sauce, extra hot —- and it was YUMMILICIOUS!! Kids got the mild spice level and loved theirs too!! Jordan, the server, was extremely nice and courteous and provided great service!!

We went in with a party of 9. I was told that there would be an 18% gratuity automatically added to the bill and was asked if that was ok. I asked"what if I dont agree to that?" She answered "Then you can just leave!" I agreed and we stayed... Anyway, the food is phenomenal! I got a combo and split it with another person. There was a pound of shrimp and a pound of crab legs, 2 potatoes and 2 pieces of corn. They were cooked to perfection and just delicious!! Everyone at our table enjoyed it all! I gave only 4 stars because the waitress was not very attentive to our table. She was nice but not friendly. She almost seemed like we were not worth her time. I had to go and find her to ask for more drinks. This place is wide open and not very big inside and we were a party of 9 sitting in the middle of the restaurant. For the 9 of us she only gave us 2 discard buckets and never offered to empty them once. I guess since she was already getting an 18% tip she didn't need to give good customer service. I am a 20% or more tipper! But when the almost $400 bill came, I could not leave any additional tip because of the lack of service she provided!! This was my second time coming and I had such a great experience with our server and food the first time, I hoped we would have the same experience again. Once again, the food is great! I even think the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get! We will be back but I hope we get a different server next time...

This (specific) Twisted Crab is the most FAVORITE of mine. The manager Mr Keith is awesome professional, very good listener and quick to help your situation. Restaurants make mistakes - bur its how they RESPOND is what I grade on. Also their outlook on the situation. Mr. Keith is rather a young manager but very astute keen and sharp in his profession. You can't go wrong choosing THIS Twisted crab...my word!!

Always a good time coming here. Was one of the few places open for super bowl.. hard to try something different when the options in the T3 are the primary wants.. otherwise if there could be a sampler combo since I enjoy mussels and scallops as well without having to add on..

Came for lunch on a rainy Saturday. Got a pount of shrimp with heads and 1corn with a side of hush puppies. Chose medium heat, garlic butter flavor. Good messy eats. Comes with bib and gloves, if you so desire to use. Nice little place.

The Twisted Crab is located in the Lynnhaven section of Virginia Beach. It is located at the end of a shopping center at the corner of Phoenix Dr. and N. Mall Dr. This place is fairly easy to see from either of those roads. Since it is part of shopping center, there is ample parking available here. You can get up to the entrance via step or a ramp, which is good for those that need it to get up to the place. My visit here was on October 24, 2020. The place looked really nice and clean when we came in. It was at a busier time, but everything was socially distanced well in here when it came to tables and such. There are signs about it, as well masks required as you come in. Hand sanitizer is also available. Although we dined in, there were others that came in for take out, so take out is also an option here as well. Once we came inside, we were immediately greeted and were seated. Within a few moments our server Kayla came to the table. Like most places these days, there is a QR code to look at the menu electronically. However, they will give you a single use menu to look at if you request it. She asked us for our drink orders and gave us time to look over the menu. She was really quick with getting the drinks to us as well. We were then ready to order, and both my mom and I went with the Shrimp Basket with Hushpuppies. After about 10 to 15 minutes, our food came to the table. This was not a big surprise overall since the place was busy, and all the servers were all over the place. Apparently they weren't set to sections that day. Anyways, the food came out nice and hot. The shrimp were great. They weren't over-breaded and they were hot. The cocktail sauce to go with it was good as well. For the hushpuppies, they were great and hot too. They were also nice and soft. I definitely like when they're softer too. Due to servers being all over the place, it took a little while to come back and get us the check. I had a coupon, which is what brought us in to begin with. We didn't order enough and were just shy of the amount to be able to use the coupon, but our server gave it to us anyways. Kudos to her on that. Overall, this was a good first experience here. The food and service were both great experiences for this visit. Prices are more than reasonable for what you get here. There are quite a few options on the menu and I definitely plan to come back and try something else on the menu then including some different sides. If you're in the Lynnhaven area and looking for a seafood place, this place is worth checking out.

Winter was fantastic! We came in tonight to celebrate a very special occasion. Food was incredibly fresh and the cheesecake was creamy/delicious. Winter’s service from start to finish was top notch. She hit all steps of service with a lovely smile (behind her mask) We will definitely be back!

The best seafood boil I've ever had. So many options available, seasoning choices, and spice level options. Highly recommend, and our waitress Savannah was so patient with answering all our questions and provided amazing service. Will definitely be back the next time we come to VA

Excellent service and delicious food. We shared the T3 and devoured every bite, kids both had fried shrimp baskets, one with fries and one with the best onion rings I have ever tasted. Big portions and don't even get me started on the music, it was like the very best slow jams from Jr. High and I am here for it! Definitely try this place out, Y'all!

Came here after Red Lobster had a 1.5hr wait, with only 5 other people in the waiting area and almost every table empty. What a pleasant surprise that we were immediately sat and then greeted by our server. The atmosphere was fun and laid back. The dining area has a nautical theme that the kids(and myself) enjoyed. Our server was friendly and the food was great. We really appreciated that you could choose the seasoning and spice level separately for the boil bag. My son loved the spicy honey wings. Would definitely recommend.

I love the environment, the music selection, the attitude of each waiter/waitress, the birthday song, the quality of the food. All of it!! I haven't tried the Twisted Crab on Monticello Avenue yet because I really like this one. This is the third time I've been to this specific location and I can't get enough. Btw the catfish basket is on point. Fried to perfection. Much oblige to the chef. Keep that energy. I like it!

Food was great! Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavor profiles were on point. They have little buttons at the table that you can press if you need something, so the servers aren't breathing down your neck every 5 minutes. Overall great experience, great food, great service!

Every time I am near a Twisted Crab location, I will do my best to get there. The seafood boils here are not only made with quality food, but the seasoning options are exceptional! I did have to take one star for my review of this specific visit as our waitress was not very attentive of our needs and rarely checked in on us. We had to flag down another waitress to get our crab crackers.

Absolutely amazing A+++. BEST seafood at the beach. None of the restaurants at the oceanfront can compete with The Twisted Crab. Flavor was the best we’ve ever had, and they are extremely busy because of it. Go there early - we showed up at 5:30 on a Friday night and didn’t wait (table of 3), however when we left at 7 there was quite the wait.

Last night my daughter had her 8th grade promotion ceremony so we wanted to treat her to a seafood boil. Winter was our server, and she was simply amazing. The food was great, came out fast even though there was 8 of us. But the star of the show for sure was Winter. I've been a server/bartender almost my whole adult life, so I like to think I know a little about good service. She was friendly and patient (she even gave us a tutorial on how to eat crawfish) but also everything we asked for seemed to appear immediately and i swear we never had an empty drink or water. I will be back just to have lunch and a drink by myself just to see Winter bc she was that amazing!! Thanks for an awesome dinner girl 🥰

First let me say that I'm a wine and seafood type. So my experiences and expectations are what they are. If you're not a fan of places with bags of unidentified oil with seafood swimming in it, The Twisted Crab offers less oil and well seasoned contents. Like I really liked the seasoning. I chose mild instead of spicy. The list of wines, well I had a sweet tea. But the wonderful waitress really stood out. Thank you Winter.

Mandy was our server she was pleasant and kind I think she was also in the middle of training. Went with my husband and daughter for dinner tonight. Jordan was our server. We were seated quickly, received our drinks fairly quick, but then it was a complete 180 after that. Once we *finally* received our food, we needed utensils to crack the crab we ordered, ketchup, honey mustard, wet naps and a refill. Pressed the “call” button and after 10 minutes, no one came. I had to stop a server for another table and ask if she could get ours. He didn’t even come when we asked for her to get him, she came back and asked if we needed anything that she could get. Food was phenomenal, we spent a good chunk of money and it was worth every penny. The service was not great, which is disappointing seeing as they were not busy at all. Couldn’t wrap our heads around why we couldn’t get our server to come take care of us. When he did finally come back, my husband ordered a beer. The server came back after another 15 minutes and asked if we were ready for the check, no beer in hand. He must have remembered it because he quickly said “do you want your beer to go?” We opted for YES! Didn’t want to wait any longer than we had to, for anything else.

my husband and i thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant! Winter was our waitress and she was attentive, knowledgeable and fun. we ordered the T3, with mild seasoning and the fried catfish basket. they brought our seafood boil in a bag which we promptly dumped on table. just right seasoning. only which they had offered dipping sauce for catfish but the sauce with seafood was enough. highly recommend this place! prepare to get messy!

Our group was a total of 22 people..This was a new location for us, the food was very DELICIOUS..Our Server name was MANDY...She was SUPERB, AMAZING, WONDERFUL, NICE, FRIENDLY, & HAD GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE....She did her job & out of 22 of us everyone was very very SATISFIED With her & her service.....I highly recommend this location to all my family & friends....I will always ask for Mandy whenever I dine in again🤗

went here about two weeks ago and had a fantastic experience! the manager, Kyleigh, checked on us throughout the night and made sure we had everything we needed. Food is delicious and customer service is outstanding. We had a large party and were seated right away. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and our server was attentive. Restaurant is very clean and is very good at following social distancing protocols. Our family had snow crab legs, shrimp, lobster tail-all fantastic! They raved about the Twisted Sauce. This was some of the best seafood I have had in a while. the crab legs were amazing!!! normally when I’ve had them they won’t come right out of the shell but they perfectly came out every piece the mixture of the sauces was probably about the best that I’ve ever had makes me want to get the recipe. The shrimp was perfectly cooked , lobster muscles oysters corn and potato .the service was amazing I don’t remember the name of the waitress but she checked on us so many times I can’t remember it was very informative and the drinks were strong and well Worth your money the platter was about $35 honestly pretty reasonable for the quality! Add 100% recommend stopping by here if you go to Virginia Beach

Enjoyed this beautiful Saturday, April 10 weather with my dear friend. We decided to grab something to eat at the Lynnhaven Twisted Crab where we got great service from Jordan. There was no wait to be seated and our food came fast once we ordered. We kept Jordan running for appetizers, drinks, water and much more. He was very nice and pleasant. The T3 boil bag extra Cajun is good. Now the fried fish and shrimp are very good!! They give you 3 potatoes or corn! Not just one like shaking Crab! I wish it was a combo option for fish and shrimps but it's all marketing to get more money. You have to buy the fish and shrimp separately. The flavors are amazing. FYI: Order your food before you go! If not the wait time is slow.

I can’t remember the last time I left a less than 4 star review. The food was actually pretty good. Everybody liked it. Unfortunately the service was really subpar. It took a while to be served. We ordered some wings for an appetizer and specifically asked the waitress if the spicy honey wings were hot and never received them. When we asked about them the waitress acted like we never discussed them. I ordered a half a pound of sausage to go with my dinner and it finally arrived as we were getting done eatting. Men’s room smelled horrible. Good food, good price, clean restaurant but unfortunately really bad service and bad smells.

Not bad for awesome tasting seafood bags that included shrimp, crawfish, crab legs, sausage, and potatoes and a fried oysters meal with a side and kids meal along with an extra order of 1/2 lb of crab legs and their amazing Rum drink. Their service was excellent and food came out within 15 - 17 min. We decided to rank the crab/seafood restaurants within the immediate area from Yummi Crab to the "just opened" Tasty Crab in Norfolk. Hands down the Twisted Crab is in a crab league by themself; from quality to quantity. All others are merely the Krusty Crab in comparison to the Twisted Crab. Also, the atmosphere is pleasant and warm welcoming as was our waitress, Winter. Her name is Winter, however she was quite southern hospitality warm, friendly and professional. If you plan on dining at a crab place other than here you definitely got the crab game twisted.

My son and I were working in the VA Beach area on his 21st birthday. Instead of going out to mess with the Covid rules we decided to DoorDash ‘The Twisted Crab’ and celebrate at our rental.
