Love Matters

When you walk in your greeted with love. The catfish was so good, I wanted seconds. I wasn't to kin of the shrimp. They taste like the breaded ones buy at store. I wish the shrimp had a homemade batter. The chicken wings and fries were very tasty too. The owners are so welcoming. They treat you like family more than just a customer. I will definitely come back

I am so glad that I stumbled across this hidden gem! The owners were super welcoming and personable. I ordered the jumbo lump crab cake dinner w/ mac and cheese and string beans, and everything tasted amazing! The crab cake was a very decent size and full of actual crabmeat (which is hard to find in other restaurants). They had so many options listed on their menu that I can’t wait to return and try something different! Soul & Sea Cafe definitely earned a new customer!

This establishment is out of this world. Absolutely amazing. Collard greens were phenomenal haddock was massive and tasted delicious. The owner/operator was the friendliest lady I have ever met while at a restaurant. 100/10 would recommend!!

This place is amazing! We stumbled across it and it doesn't look like much but everything inside is amazing. It's so cosy and clean, the staff was so friendly and the food blew my mind. I could tell their Alfredo was homemade and everything was cooked to perfection. The prices are great. Seriously, this might be the best kept secret of Virginia beach.

Went for lunch today. Got the seafood box. 2 shrimp, 2 crab balls, 2 tilapia filets, fries and hushpuppies.....all fried. Good stuff. Have to go back and try the fried chicken wings and Mac n Cheese.

The sweet potatoes are to die for! Crabcake was moist, full of meat, thick, delicious. Live approximately one hour away and came back the next day for SECONDS 😋. Friendliness. Smiles.

I found this place by accident and it's the best seafood I've had in the 757! The owner/chef Teresa is so sweet and welcoming. The place is super clean and the food was delicious!! I live in Chesapeake and this place is worth the drive.

We had the sea & soul salmon with crabmeat and shrimp on top and the smoked beef sausage on rice and cabbage as a side. Tell you what! They were all delicious! Wonderful service and attention. Couldn't decide which one we liked best! Much thanks to the cooks!

Great food served and cooked by great people. A true ma and pops place, been there for a couple of years and helped by their son. I spent some time chatting with them while they cooked and they are just great down to earth good people. Had a beef dog, piece of fish, and some fries and let me tell you, SO. DAMN. GOOD!!!

If you want a cozy, friendly, and incredibly tasty food, this is your spot! The wife and husband duo makes you feel right at home. They are loving and so caring! The food was the best I’ve ever tasted in this area. The fried flounder was not over cooked or greasy and the Mac and cheese was outstanding. 11/10 recommended!!! You won’t be disappointed

My hubby and I wanted lunch and I started looking on the path home. I saw this place had 5 🌟 and 13 reviews. Usually you see any place over 10 reviews is under 5 🌟. We walked in and the place looked and smells clean. The two running the place are very sweet and hospitable. They made our food fresh and we were able to watch them doing it. As of this moment I haven't tried the food, but my mouth is watering from watching and smelling the food 😋. I'll post an update after I eat. I ordered the Angus Cheese Burger with everything but mustard. Omg I have never had a burger from a restaurant that I could taste everything I had put on it, in every bight. My hubby had the stake and shrimp sub and it was equally as good.

Who knew you could make a hot dog pretty looking and tasting. My friend ordered a burger with Boom Boom sauce and was over the moon too... Great food and even better service.

So I will start with this is a nice little place the atmosphere is nice. It was clean and had a homey feel to it. Now the first thing I was upset with was they ran out of Mac-n-Cheese understandable but that’s what I wanted and they didn’t close for another two and half hours. The next thing was not being able to sub sides the menu was limited and if you wanted something different you had to pay. For example I order chicken and fries but I couldn’t sub the fries for greens I had to pay extra and not get the fries. The next thing was the time the food came out my wife had her food for 10 mins before mines and my daughter food came out. Even this was not that bad it’s small restaurant so I get it. The thing that took this place to a 3 star was the greens they were sweet I don’t know if that’s how they eat them in VA but I didn’t like them at all! The chicken was fried but the skin was soft not to my liking it was not crispy at all to be fried chicken the season on the chicken was lacking as well!

Where do i start!! Friendly greeting upon entering, and patrons even said hello! Philly beef and shrimp sandwich was the best i have ever had! The crab cake sandwich was delicious as well!! You won't be disappointed!!!

best soul food I've had in a while. Please try it. I got the chicken wings, catfish, crab cake, mac and cheese, cabbage and green bean. They are really really good and I don't say that often!

So good. The cheese steak with shrimp is AWESOME!! The wings are great as well and have a unique breading that is very thin and extra tasty. If you like great food and a good deal, stop on by! Just don’t burn your fingers on the wings!

They have the best fried catfish in Virginia Beach! The owners are very customer service oriented and take a very personal interest in what you want to eat. Again, great food.

I had the seafood box which had fish, shrimp, crab balls, hush puppies & fries...amazing!!! My husband had the cheesesteak & shrimp hoagie with boom boom sauce with fries...amazing! But most of all the sweet couple that own this place are so kind & they put love into the food & service which is so hard to find nowadays!!!! 11/10!!!!

Eating at their restaurant was definitely a good experience. I would recommend this restaurant to everybody. This is my new favorite places to come and eat. The place is very clean and the food you just can't get enough of. My main goal is to try everything on the menu. The staff are so professional and make you feel at home as soon as you open the door and when you leave.
