Nice hidden little gem off the main strip. Food was excellent! We had the she-crab soup, Oysters Rockefeller, calamari and the lobster roll. You will not be disappointed. Our waiter Wes was very attentive and informative to our questions. Will definitely go back on our next trip to Virginia Beach!

Visited this place during summer when we were at Virginia Beach ! It’s a lovely restaurant with a beautiful view. Baked Oysters were amazing and the seafood trio of baked scallops, lobster and shrimp was mind blowing. My husband ordered the pork rib at a seafood restaurant but that was also very good. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Very good ambience at this restaurant. Our waiter Vivian was excellent. The food was good the view was great. Would definitely recommend this place for a great dinner. They make their own mint here so definitely get a mojito. The she crab soup was excellent. If you're in Virginia Beach this is definitely a place that you need to stop by.

The service was Incredible, by Every staff member from the Valet, to the front end to the severs and food runners. The food was INCREDIBLE and great portions. The view inside and out is beautiful! We will be back many times. We took friends from out of state, and they wer every pleased with our choice. They also allowed reservations, which was handy during Labor Day weekend on the ocean front! Great establishment. Greta local gem on the water.

Atmosphere and staff are amazing. A nice view of the bay and boats is mesmerizing. Food was ok, definitely could be better. The scallops were some of the smallest I’ve ever seen, about the size of a bean, needed to eat them with a spoon. The Jamaican Rum Cake is to die for, makes up for everything else.

Went for father's day dinner and wasn't disappointed. Got right in with no wait or reservations. Hostess was super Southern friendly! Brussel sprouts and crab and artichoke dip were fantastic appetizers. Now for the bad, Steak and lobster ravioli was a little disappointing. Steak was slightly overcooked but tasty and ravioli was a very small portion and dry. Daughter had crab cakes that were bland. Other daughter had burger which was good. Wife the chicken which was the best meal of them all. Waitress was personable and friendly.

Welcoming family environment with a comfortable classy atmosphere and nice scenic view of the docks on the bay. They’ve gone the extra mile with upscale costumer service, valet parking, and overall cleanliness. Seafood was well delivered in presentation and taste. Very comfortable meal and flavorful Sangria wines. Had no wait even with how busy it was for a Friday-night. First time being back in 3yrs when I was introduced by my parents and was just how I remembered, it brought back wonderful memories. Definitely a location for family’s and date night.

Has to be one of the best restaurants I've ever been to and I have traveled from Chicago to New York City, Cleveland, Toledo Pittsburgh, Myrtle Beach, both coast of Florida...a lot. Everything was well seasoned and just melts in your mouth. Absolutely a must stop restaurant!

Lovely dinner; we had the artichoke dip for appetizer, Husband had the grouper and she crab soup and it was very good, cousin had the salmon and I had the seafood mac (photo). Food was very tasty.

My husband wanted Cobia and called several restaurants to find it. The challenge, I am vegan, so we needed a place with options. Thankfully, there were two menu items that satisfied me. The Brussels Sprouts appetizer and the Tex-Mex salad without the meat or ranch was my order, and the Cobia over Risotto was his. He also got cornbread. He absolutely loved his Cobia fish dish. We could have had two servings of the Brussels Sprouts. It was fabulous. I was happy the Tex Mex was an option. It was an attractive dish, it was alright. My husband also ordered dessert. The restaurant, the bathroooms, and lounge area were clean and tastefully decorated. The service was very good!

Incredible service, went here when my ring dance was canceled and everyone was very kind and complimented me and my boyfriend a lot. The food was amazing and so was the strawberries and cream mocktail. Will be coming back in the future!

I came for a Company dinner and met the owner and the general manager Brian they have dinner with us.They were so warm and inviting,gave us the history and the recipes to all the meals.and everything they they said the meal would be or taste like was exactly as expected! Tasteful,fresh, flavorful and more beautiful atmosphere and the sunset over the water was breathe taking. I love the family friendly environment! Shawn was a great Server to us and seem to love what he does! I ordered the ribs and they were the original Frankie's recipe they were falling off the bone..So much more I could say,but you just need to go, like NOW! GO! LOL THANK YOU ROCKEFELLER! WILL BE BACK WITH MY FAMILY! Side note get the ROCKEFELLER Relaxer drink! Taste like a childhood dream!

Pretty good - I got the Rockefeller oysters 🦪, the crab soup, and the crab + shrimp hush puppies. In order of favorite to least, it would be: hush puppies, oysters, then the soup. The hush puppies were delicious, and the inclusion of seafood into a classic hush puppy was a nice touch. The oysters were well-made, but not the best I’ve ever had. The soup was good, but also was on par with similar soups - and much more expensive. I might have had a mediocre experience because I got it as takeout, but overall I’d say it’s a pretty good place to try for some seafood if you’re in the area.

We had oyster Rockefellers, calamari and crab cake for dinner. Everything was delicious but the crab cakes were off the charts exceptional. The crab cakes were a little expensive but worth it definitely a must have if you come here if you like crab cakes

I have been going to Rockafeller's for many years when vacationing in Virginia Beach. The restaurant has had a complete makeover and looks nice. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. The food was very good. The negatives were that the main courses came out before the appetizers were even touched. We had to send them back until we were ready. We were surprised that they charged $3.99 for a 2nd serving of bread. I have never seen that in my life and we should have been advised. While we were seated right away per our reservation, they left no time between courses and we were out within an hour. We felt a bit rushed. I understand the desire to turn the table, but time should be allowed between courses. The parking valet was very professional. I still recommend Rockafeller's, but for the money expect a better experience.

Excellent location and it was definitely good to have valet parking as the area becomes congested in the evening. Service was good, however one of our entrees came out cold. We had the staff take it back and it seemed to have been microwaved and returned making the seafood chewy. Outside of that one-off, everything else was excellent, food and drinks. Three stars was for the cold entree and price vs experience. For two couples with a single appetizer, an entree a piece, two drinks apiece and two total desserts, one per couple, it came to over $300.00. I don't mind the price, but I expect the caliber to match the price and this didn't quite make it.

As a Vb local I usually avoid the tourist area but we’ve been missing out. Great view of the marina and food was excellent. We went for Sunday brunch. Seafood Mac and cheese was awesome and the others had French toast and omelets. Prices more than reasonable with $4 mimosas $5 bloodies, service was excellent and plenty of parking now that it’s off season. We will be back soon thanks.

My husband says this is in the top 3 of best seafood dining he’s ever had and I agree! Best meal we’ve had in VA beach. We ordered 8 items off the menu for only $115! Service was personable, professional and fast. We would recommend this restaurant to everyone!

We were a party of 12 and went for my sister's birthday. We had reservations and were seated promptly. The wait staff seemed stretched but not unusual post covid. The food was delicious, steaks cooked to perfection, and the seafood was very fresh. My only complaint is that they charge 3.99 per person to bring in a cake. I've paid a flat fee at other restaurants and they cut the cake and served it to us however, we had to ask our server for plates, forks, and a knife. We ended up cutting the cake with a butter knife. Still trying to figure out what we 3.99 per person for!?

Went at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday. We’ve been here every time we visit Virginia Beach. Food was awesome as usual. Our waiter Christopher was the absolute best! Rating is low because hostess seated us at the worst table in the restaurant even though we made reservations months ago. We asked to move since the place wasn’t half filled and we’re told, “No, other people had reserved the other tables.”

Really nice atmosphere! We did the early dine, it was very good. The early dine runs from 3:00 to 5:30 but it seems like you have to ask for it. It is on separate menu and our server, nor other servers were telling customers about it.

I have been to Rockafellers more times than I can count. I love the atmosphere and water view. They renovated the restaurant and it flows better. I still have to get used to it. I did like the high booths. The waiting area is nicely renovated. There has been changes to the menu and the food. Remember I have been here many times. The food is not the same. Not sure if we went on a bad day. Or there was short staff as far a cooks. I didn’t take a pick of my food but I ordered the fried shrimp with the season vegetables. The shrimp breading didn’t stay on compared to me having the shrimp all the times before that were golden and crisp. Other items ordered were salmon, cornbread, the Rockefeller Trio and Rum cake. I understand increasing the prices but the quality must follow. The food was not worth the cost. And the crab dip should go back to the old crab dip recipe. Not sure when I will be back. Hopefully like all other places having difficulty with staffing that it will get better. The cook must match the atmosphere and the cost.

The staff are very kind and greets you well. Excellent grilled barbecue shrimp cooked perfectly with succulent flavor. The rice and seasonal vegetables complimented the barbecue shrimp well. The desert which was bread pudding whiskey caramel was outstanding!

Casual dining with yummy food. Try the brussel sprouts, you'll be surprised. The crab & shrimp hush puppies didn't taste like either, but they were good. Our server was excellent and very friendly.

We had dinner reservations on December 3, 2022. We had the oysters Rockefeller, spring grouper and lobster ravioli. Food was just ok, nothing special but view was great. Service was good. This place could be special. Too bad. No special touches and it was pricey. No bread or salads included. I said it was my birthday but they didn’t offer anything. Vodka tonics were pricey and nothing special Probably good for happy hour.

Great view from the upper terrace. Service was really friendly and well organized. Food quality was very good for a casual dinner. Had to wait at the bar for about 25 min. on a Friday evening around 6.30pm. The Tequila Sunrise has room for improvement though. Both presentation and taste..... THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD. I tried cooked oysters before and HATED them. This place was delicious, a little pricey but the oysters were cheap and absolutely delicious. My partner got a burger and I got the Rockafeller’s Trio as well as 12 oysters. The crab cake was honestly the best crab cake I have ever had. It had a sweeter taste to it and with butter, it melted in your mouth. Absolutely fantastic experience. Would eat here if I ever visited again.

I absolutely loved this restaurant. I dined here for lunch, during the week, and was pleased with the decor and selection of food. Parking was abundant, so no issues there. We were seated by a window seat with great water views. I ordered a Crab Cake for an appetizer. It was good. But not the best I've had, but still delicious. The Salmon Cake had a bolder flavor. My dish came with two sides: The macaroni and cheese and Old Bay Chips. Both were flavorful and came with a decent portion size. The Old Bay Chips were slightly salty...but that seems to come with using the area's favorite seasoning. The macaroni was so good. I can only imagine what the lobster mac is like. All-in-All customer service was great, clean restrooms, and an affordable menu for great seafood.

Fresh seafood! Indoor & outdoor seating avail. We sat outside on upper deck overlooking the MARINA boats on a lovely Wed night (2 photos of view). Enjoyed Oysters-Rockafeller again-yum and crab cakes and a drink. Waiter was friendly and attentive. Tables were spread apart for social distancing. This was our THIRD time there and its always fresh seafood!

Decided to go for our Anniversary Lunch from a friend's recommendation. Couldn't have been happier. Sitting by window offered a great view of Rudee Inlet. Nice to see the boats cooking in and out. Ordered the house champagne, very tasty. I would recommend the Oysters Rockefeller. Well prepared, large and not too salty. We both loved our Rockefeller Trio and Norfolk Crab dinners. Good seasoning, plenty of food to share and nicely prepared sides of Cole slaw, broccoli and mashed potatoes. Such a nice lunch!!

I loved coming here. The food was fantastic. I came at happy hour and got wine, 6 Rockafeller oysters, she crab soup, and a 3 course meal for under 35. The Rockafeller oysters we're delicious, the she crab soup was creamy and sweet. I loved the tuna steak here. It was perfectly cooked. The staff were extremely friendly and I plan on coming back

Atmosphere is great. My wife and I saw by the windows. Greg, the waiter was excellent! However, the good quality was just ok. Thinking it was right on the lagoon gave me hope for really fresh food but didn't feel like it was. I'd go for the atmosphere and fun time but probably won't be coming back

First time coming to the place, parking is limited so I recommend you to let the valet to take care of it (they work based on tips) if you have a small party (4 or 5) sitting in the second floor deck is a nice option. Ok, the food: the she crab soup was phenomenal, really thick and a hint of spiciness that doesn't overwhelm. The Pasta Pescatore is a great dish, the shrimp was soft and tasty, the alfredo sauce was right on point and the portion is plentiful. The staff was attentive and made sure we were taken care of, definitely coming back whenever we are in the area.

Brilliant from start to finish. Wonderful server, great food. I finally got the nerve to try oysters for the first time and have found a new food to love. We got crusted mahi on parmesan risotto and tomato salad, steak with crab cake, plus shecrab soup which was almost too rich to finish but too delicious to leave behind. Not a big thing, but they've got a really neat, unique soda full of blueberries. Top notch service and food. Will return often (just returned to the area after being away for years!)

I don't live close by to this so when I'm VA beach area, this is one of my favorite spots to stop by. It's a little small, but it's a cozy atmosphere. I consider the food "comfort sea food." Not so heavy, good portions and great in price and variety. I love the view of the harbor...I've been here in the peak season and during the winter season, and I like seeing the traffic that passes by as I'm having a meal with my family. I recommend this to anyone who loves a view, good food, and good service.

Took my daughter on a date for lunch and she enjoyed every moment of it. Our service was excellent and our food was even better. Everything came out fast and fresh. My daughter ordered a bowl of the She Crab Soup, while I started with the Crab dip. Either one disappointed. For our main course my daughter went with the Ribs and I had the fried seafood platter. Overall our experience was great and I look forward to visiting you guys agian soon.

Really great service and a beautiful restaurant on the inlet. The oysters were very fresh. Amazing hush puppies. My only complaint is that the seafood in the boil was a bit over cooked.

The atmosphere was nice. Dim lit. On the water. The food was okay. I got the crab and corn bisque, crab dip, and tidewater boil. The baguettes were covered in Old Bay seasoning. I get that's a big thing around the area, but honestly it was overly salty. Nothing really stood out on the dishes I ordered. It was all pretty generic. Which is disappointing for a seafood restaurant on the water. My brother and his wife ordered a steak special and seared tuna. Both of which I tasted and that was on par for sure.

Nice beach facing restaurant. We ordered appetizers- fried calamari, Cesar salad and a sea food platter consisting of 2 oysters, 2 clams, 2 hush puppies, 2 crab cakes. Was tasty but very less quantity with respect to the price. The Cesar salad (claimed to be local favorite) was an absolute waste of money. We had a traditional mojito which was quite strong much to my dislike. Overall an okayish experience except for the incredible view.

Decided to check this place out based on previous reviews. Went went on a Saturday at 6:30pm. We were seated right away despite the place being very busy. Service was super fast and attentive. The portion sizes were very large and everything was delicious. Tried to snap a few photos but the food was soo good it didn’t last long. We started with the calamari and crab dip. Both of those were perfect. We also got the linguini, large fried fish, lump crabmeat and chocolate mousse for dessert. Everything was excellent.. price was very reasonable and the service was top notch.

What a fantastic location for an upscale meal on Virginia Beach. The food was above average, but my cream braised crab cakes were a little bland. The BBQ shrimp were excellent. Service was above average. I don’t think flip-flops and tank tops would go over well here, but shorts and a polo shirt seems just fine.

Always a nice choice. This restaurant is a local favorite on the inlet. For best seating, request top floor window seats, they take reservations. Look for the fresh catch and steamer menu. Also look to try the crab bites or crab cakes... Delicious. Don't miss out on the desert, the coconut cake was my favorite.

Our first experience at Rockafeller's Restaurant was phenomenal. Corey was our server this evening and he did a great job communicating with our large and, at times, complicated family. He made some great recommendations, worked patiently with all of the kids and he really hustled to keep everyone happy. I got the Rock’s Trio. Every item on my plate was memorable. The crab cake was especially good. I haven’t been to Virginia Beach in 20 years but I would come back for that dish. I have 0 complaints. Great first experience. I can’t wait to go back. I hope Corey gets the recognition that he deserves and my compliments to the chef!

We ate here last night and it couldn't have been a better experience! We had great service and great views. Our waiter took his time with us and really made the whole thing enjoyable. We sat on the patio and loved every second of it. It is definitely a cozy feel and great for the family or for a date night get away. They have valet parking and the workers work off tips, so remember to bring some cash if you decide to go!

Visited twice while on vacation, once with a party of three and again with a party of 20. Everything we tried was delicious. Crab cake dinner was one of the best I've had. The she crab soup was just as tasteful. Vegetables are fresh and well-prepared. The fish was fresh. And even the ribs had nice flavor and good amounts of meat. The service both times was great. Can't wait to go back.

Great place !!! This place is a quaint little hidden gem. We started off our experience a little rough with one of the veteran servers being angry that he had to wait on us. He had tattoos on his forearm and a short beard light hair. This was Wednesday night so it wasn’t too busy … thankfully a young sever named Bryce took us …Bryce was a great server … really on point. I am part owner of a small restaurant group in southeast Michigan , I would be happy to have a talent like this kid. He knew how to sell how to serve and not be too overbearing.. overall impressed with this great place because of the service !

Well not as great as I remember. The menu has changed drastically. Like lunch menu is a one pager. Almost left when more than half of menu item have been deleted. Kind of wished we did go to other establishment for lunch to have a better selection. On a good note the Oyster Rockefeller were tasty. I wish you would have just stayed with the way you were. The best part of the meal was the Cornbread. The BBQ Bacon Wrapped Shrimp was decent but you only get 5 for $10. The Crabcake Combo is mehhh. You get your choice of Scallops (5 of them) or Shrimp (5 of them) to go with it. The Crabcake is a bit small and comes with some kind of Mayo or Tartar sauce on it then sits on a bed of rice and corn with fresh green beans. As someone from Maryland I don't think the crabcake is worth it. Though my boyfriend, who has eaten them all over the states, says it's second best. The service was the best part of the experience. Good food and excellent service! They were well-staffed and our server did a great job. The food was good, but I have to say it wasn't quite as good as I expected. We both had the seafood trio. The crab cake seemed to have as much filler as it had crab meat, the mini-scallops didn't have a lot of flavor, the shrimp were good. The chocolate elcair pie was very good. The Key Lime Pie...not soo good. Overall, if you are looking for great atmosphere, great service, and good food, you can't go wrong here.

The cocktail menu was also nice, however, there was so much ice in my cocktail that I felt as if I paid for two sips of sweetened Makers Mark. I'll just take a bottle of beer next time.

We came out on a Saturday evening after a short wait at 8pm. We sat on the top floor patio, dockside which was a terrific viewing spot of Lake Rudee. We had 2 entrees - crab cakes, very tender/moist/flavorful, and the grilled mahi, equally scrumptious and flavorful. The green sides were an enjoyable compliment. Staff-wise, Asia is an amazing, expedient hostess. She deserves a raise! Our server whom I forgot his name was pleasant and gave us a good tip on the fish menu portions.

Seating is limited. We had a short wait tbe seated. A couple of large parties 8 or more in each group were seated just before and after we were. Servers were consintrating more on them than us. Drink order came out in a timely manner. Orders for larger parties were taken before us. We ordered a couple appetizers and salad. Did not get eating utinsels until just a few minutes after salad and appetizers were delivered. We did get our orders several minutes after we finished salad. Table buss person had to remove usd plates and refill our drinks. When meal was delivered we had to wait on extra plates. After meal was finished the table buss person had take our money and bring back change. Food was good but short on quantity. Service was poor is why only the 4 stars and with the limited seating you would have thought it would have been a little faster.

Went for dinner. To start off, valet parking was directly in parking lot where you walk into restaurant. 🙄 Was not necessary, at all. It was a scorching hot day. Walking into restaurant felt cool then while waiting for our table at the bar, I felt like I was outside in the heat. Watching staff walk in and out of the kitchen area made me wonder how they could possibly be comfortable working in that atmosphere. It was hot for me, I couldn't imagine being in that kitchen cooking! We visited Rockefeller’s 4 years ago and loved it. The food and atmosphere made a favorable impression on us that we wanted to return. Last night we sat upstairs with a great view, the sun was just setting and there was a wonderful breeze. Our waiter Chris was so kind and pleasant (thank you ). The food, well it took a very long time maybe 30/35 minutes to get our food and when it arrived it was Luke warm at best My son had the crab stuffed shrimp which was bland. My husband got the Mahi Mahi which was flavorful but cold. No calamari 🙁 but Waterman’s had calamari the night earlier. When we left the restaurant we said “well that was disappointing.”

I had the Rockefeller trio with shrimp, scallops, and a crab cake that came with green beans and rice...It was just ok for me. The shrimp and scallops were tiny and the crab cake tasted funny. The rice and green beans didn't have enough seasoning. My sister had the same meal and felt the same way.. My husband and brother in law had different meals that they loved. The she crab soup was good and so were the steamed shrimp. The service was great and so was the atmosphere. I'm not knocking the restaurant I just didn't like the meal I ordered.

The seafood is cooked perfect. If you are looking for a good seafood restaurant That is not a jimmy buffett style (if you know what that means), this is the place. It has lovely view of the inlet and charter boats with a very nice atmosphere. Plus the Staff are on top of everything you need when you need something even if you are seated out in the corner tables. The prices were a bit over priced for my liking, however I would go back. So if you are looking for a date night, family night, or just a place this is a place for you. Just get there before they get busy so there is no wait.

Every time my friends visit from NY we hit up Rockafeller's. They have really good Shecrab soup, Mojito's and one of my friends loves their Bloody Mary's so it's our tradition restaurant. This year we were able to sit outside which was gorgeous! It was disappointing as they ran out of oysters and calamari ... Really, both?! But we made due. They did have a vegan option for one of the teenagers in our party so that was nice. After 6 years, I wanted to say, they never disappoint, but this year they did, so I had to take one star off for that.

Fast, top-quality service for a last minute party of 15! Great food. Intimate and attentive service. Staff built rapport but was never invasive. Super view. I will come back and get a balcony seat sometime soon. Valet parking. Able to service extremely casual to extremely well dressed easily. Decent drinks. Decent beer selection. At the last minute (within 10 minutes) I was able to call this restaurant and get a table for 15 people with no prior reservations and they did an outstanding job making us feel extremely well taken care of. We had a five star experience in a comfortable, yet classy environment.

This restaurant has its own parking. At the back of a neighborhood off of a marina. Fantastic views of beautiful boats. Seafood menu was delicious. Had business guests in from Germany. They wanted local fish and other local seafood options. They were very satisfied. Service was good and drinks were delicious. Able to make a reservation for 6 Plus online. Highly recommend. Oh and the prices are not overly expensive. Can't wait to go back with my parents and family and take the opportunity to walk around. There is a bar close by which is perfect for a nightcap.

My husband and I attended a retirement party here last month in their second floor room. Bryan and his crew were on point as always. The food was great. The drinks were perfect and the staff was kind and constantly refilling trays and taking drinks where they could. I highly recommend this restaurant to my clients when they are looking for a locally owned business and good fresh seafood. Lastly as their name suggests, always order the oysters Rockefeller!

This place had a lot of great reviews so we went and it was crowded which was a good sign, they got us in fairly quickly, but we were at a very small table right next to the door and it was very loud. The food was ok, but I expected better based on the reviews. The oysters Rockefeller were very delicious, fresh oysters and loaded with cheese and spinach, just the way I like it, the she crab soup was very tasty and thick and seasoned well, it could have had a little more lump crab meat but it was very tasty. My salmon wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I asked for it to be cooked medium, because I knew I wouldn't eat it all and would need to heat it later, but it was bland, no taste, the outside was coated and cooked longer than I preferred, someone else said that the mac and cheese was delicious, I don't know what mac and cheese they were accustomed to eating, but my kids wouldn't have enjoyed it. Overall because the oysters Rockefeller and the she crab soup were good we gave it 3 stars, but not for the obviance or the cost, it was overpriced for what you received.

Great restaurant. Nice ambiance on the harbor. I ordered the grilled salmon and my mom the prime rib. The salmon and prime rib was cooked to perfection and as requested. Also ordered the crab cake appetizer. One of the best I ever had. Service was very good. So if you want a good meal and reasonably priced, I highly recommend.

Family brunch on a Sunday Afternoon. Visiting family nearby they arranged to dine here and we are thrilled that they did. I started with the ultimate? bloody Mary. Huge shrimp on top with just the right amount of other garnish. perfectly spicy and delicious.We shared a dish of hot crab dip and there was a struggle over who got to lick the bowl. I had the shrimp and grits with a side of bacon (brunch - gotta have bacon) Best shrimp and grits I've ever had. I didn't track all the other dishes at the table, but everyone cleaned their plates. Our server Chris was entertaining and efficient. We took forever to decide on our orders, and he never missed a beat. I wish we lived closer, but we'll have it on our list whenever we visit.

We stopped here for lunch today. The service and atmosphere were wonderful. My husband had a burger and fries and loved it. I had the catch of the day blackened (mahi). It was grainy and overcooked. The green beans tasted like they were originally frozen and the potatoes tasted like they had been cooked a while ago. We will return probably sometime but I’ll get a burger!

Despite some bad circumstances on my party's fault, eating here was a great experience. We had a reservation that we were 15 minutes late for, but they still had a table ready for us. Our waiter still provided excellent service despite the fact that we had a socially awkward, outgoing teenager with us. The food was great and came out quickly. The best part though was the dessert. The waitress did not come back after our first drink to see if we would like another, I think she had too many tables to give the service she needed to give. We haven't been here for 2 years so maybe things changed since Covid. Owner even bought us a drink last time we were there because we waited so long to be seated. Tonight was a very different feel.

The stuffed shrimp had an iodine flavor and the tempura batter was kind of greasy. Sauteed green beans were delicious as was the coconut cake. We always enjoy Sunday brunch here. The view is to die for, the coming and goings of the different boats, paddle boards, birds... very entertaining. The food is good, but doesn’t vary week to week... so your choices are so what limited. The management updates the interior annually and it is always beautiful. This place has great seafood, location and service, and at great prices! I love their Early Bird special so much I schedule my flights to be sure I arrive in Norfolk in time to get there before 5:30. I always get the tuna, and it includes salad and dessert, all for $14.99. The photos show the meals I had on Sunday and Wednesday, and while the tuna steaks were very different cuts, they were both cooked a perfect medium rare, hats off to the chef. Whether you're a local or a visitor, if you haven't tried this place you are missing out. They have other specials, and their regular menu looks great, I just always get the early bird for the value.

Had dinner here tonight with my husband and son. We had a very short wait which was fine for a Saturday night. The server Chris was pretty good. Food came pretty fast as well. This place has the smallest bathroom ever. I ordered the pasta, my son had the chicken fingers and my husband ordered the crab cake dinner. My pasta was just blah. It was supposed to have crab in it, however I didn't have much crab at all. My sons chicken fingers were close to burnt and the fries were sad. The husband's dinner was blah as well. Overall we most likely will not return.

Hubby enjoyed his crab benedict--outstanding hollandaise. This place doesn't have glitz and it doesn't cater to the young hip crowd, but if you want good food and a view of the marina, it's a great option for those of us who are there for the food, and not a bar environment.

Because of covid they had a smaller menu which was disappointing but we sat outside watching the bay and the service is always great. The corn hushpuppies are to die for. Delicious and lovely evening! We had not been here in a while and had forgotten how nice it is, but tonight met friends who are regulars. We were shown to our table by the very pleasant manager, Brian O'Keefe, and our server was Van, very pleasant and efficient. I was very delighted that they have a blender, and I was able to enjoy a frozen pina Colada! My friend also enjoyed her Peach Bellini also! We got the Monday night Prime Rib Special, with fresh green beans and mashed potatoes, and my favorite creamy sour cream horseradish. Van also brought us a basket of warmed cornbread and butter, and checked on us often. The restaurant was clean, as were the bathrooms, and we liked being able to hear each other! Overall, a very lovely dinner!

The atmosphere and service were great. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was quiet. We ordered the Oldbay boil, 24.99. There was no seasoning. It was just plain boiled with no taste. They sprinkled a pinch of Oldbay on the plate for decoration. Were were super hungry so we just ate it vs saying anything because we didn't want to wait for another dish to be prepared. Mac and cheese didn't have much taste either they were super oily and the chicken tenders were a very salty. (Our kids aren't big on sea food) Loaded tots were excellent. Cool place with hit or miss food.

Just had my son's wedding rehearsal dinner here. Had 59 people. Good hors devors(sic) they were good, especially the crab bites. There was too much food left over. Could have paired that back some. Food was very good, but both myself and my husband thought is all could have has more flavor/season. We sat at the window over looking part of the marina which made for a nice backdrop to our lunch.

Went for mother's day brunch and have to say it has been the best in years. Our family tradition is to meet every year and in past years the food has been cold, quality meh, but this year blew all of those out of the water. May even go back for dinner throughout the year.

After living here for almost a year I decided to try this place out. OMGOSH I had no idea what I was missing. Came in for Sunday brunch . Ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken biscuit and their Blueberry soda (adult style w a shot of vodka). I've never had hot chicken before but I think it's safe to say any other will pale in comparison. The blueberry soda...yep...I'm in love! Great service and beautiful view . I will absolutely be going back!

More like 3 1/2 stars. Sat on deck with party of 16, so it was a nice atmosphere, though the deck was tight. Our server was not very animated, and seemed confused. However, despite our large party, he got everyone's order correct. But, we waited a very long time from apps to dinner...about 45 mins or more. The food was good, but I wouldn't say was phenomenal. My daughter had twin lobster special and it was served on a cafeteria tray. I had to ask for a bib. Also, one of our friends wanted to have a side order of mussels bc he saw they had them in another dish. He was told they couldn't serve mussels separate.the rockafella oysters were good, but cold. The ceaser salad was OK, but I've had better. For the prices, I'd expect better. Overall, it was good but not awesome.

Great service, delicious food!!! My husband really enjoyed the Oysters Rockafeller and BBQ shrimp! They’re crab cakes...omG!!!! No extra fillers, just straight jumbo lump crab meat! We’d definitely visit again! Our waiter, Patrick, was very attentive and we appreciated that.

Oyster Rockefeller was over cooked and could only taste the spinach bacon and cheese . Crab dip was bland didn’t taste any crab . Margarita was cute tasted okay . I enjoyed the dock view and nice employees

Just had an amazing Valentines day dinner with my girl here. Service was prompt, appetizer was great, had the Oyster Rockafeller. For dinner we had the 6 oz fillet with some large shrimp stuffed with crabmeat and dipped lightly in a tempura batter and fried.....out of this world! We will most definitely be returning soon.

Great food! Oysters, salmon cake, crab cakes - wish I can try more. Nice place and atmosphere. You can look at the Rydee Inlet activities to decide if you want to try one or two. Stand up Paddleboarding is right next to it. Very busy place in the evening so might choose an option to go to the bar.

I took a group of 18 for lunch. I did call a head, they had use a great seating arrangement. The food came out pretty fast for such a large group. Everyone was happy with the service and the food. We will be back next fall.

Awesome, went there last day of vacation and didn't know there was a special of 2 whole lobsters. We avoid carbs and were allowed to have two veggies and no potato without extra charge like some other restaurants in the area. Waiter was great too.

Our waitress Emily (Who was daily new) was absolutely amazing, she told us a little about everything on the menus from the texture to flavors to ingredients! We got a crab dip appetizer with some in house made chips & oyster Rockafeller. Our main courses were crab cakes and the Rockafeller trio, over all we were very satisfied!! We also had a great view ❤️

Fine dining in Virginia Beach. Had everything we were hoping to try!!! Oysters Rockefeller was amazing, as we're the crab cakes, hush puppies, clams. Downer? Atlantic Salmon that was really mushy, unsavory. I have never left a piece of fish before. I guess my hopes were too high. I thought being on the ocean? It would be fresh.......

I had some sort of delicious seafood alfredo dish that I loved..the wine was also great.. Our server and anyone else we encountered were very friendly and kind.. But what I may have loved the most was the setting. We sat right next to a window over water with these awesome big ol' boats all around.. Thought I would treat my family to a nice dinner at Rockafeller’s. A woman from our party went into the joint earlier in the day to book a reservation. The man she talked to promised seating for 8 on their top deck. Unfortunately, the promise was not upheld. When we arrived, the hostess seated us at a downstairs table next to the front door. We inquired about the upstairs table promise, but the hostesss was unable to fulfill our request. Aside from the previous hiccup, the food and service were AMAZING, which is why I still give this place 5 stars. I would definitely recommend this joint to individuals looking for a fine dining experience!

Excellent seafood, views we're all right. Waite staff attentive and friendly. A little pricy, but the flavor was worth it. Had the crabcake with scallops and wife had the mahi steak. Both were cooked just right.

Excellent seafood and cocktails located on the waterfront of the Rudee Inlet. I have tried in the past to go to this place around dinner time with a wait. This time at the beach we went at 2 and 4 on had no wait at all. The food was some of the best I have had. Their Oysters Rockefeller is a must try if you like oysters along with the bacon wrapped grilled bbq shrimp, both on the appetizer sampler. I also got one of their daily specials, stuffed flounder. It wasn't frozen like other places but a fresh caught flounder and was delicious. A must stop when in Virginia Beach.

I had the salmon special and the wife had the NY strip. The strip was over cooked but you should expect that at a seafood restaurant. The salmon was ok, but I should have been more impressed with a special. Both dishes had green beans, they seemed to be the frozen type. Over all we were unimpressed. Oh well.

One word...Awesome!! I had the red snapper with a cream sauce and seasonal veggies and roasted Potatoes. Omg!!! My lady had the bayou pasta. Geez just try this place!!! Won't regret it!

Absolutely amazing food! We visited for my 40th birthday and everything was perfect! From the view, to the friendly staff, to the incredible food...perfect! I highly recommend the crab dip, and seafood trio platter. Oh, and the cornbread is to die for!
