My food was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I loved the coleslaw and fresh cooked fries. The building is dated and could use some new seating, but it was very clean. The staff was great and very friendly. Will definitely eat there again when I'm in the area.

The family and I stop in at the Virginia Beach location for a sit down lunch and was very pleased with the atmosphere. One of the ladies was decorating and instead of us having to get up and get our food they brought it to us. I am starting to believe you get more food when you dine in cus I know we both had more shrimp than we ordered. We were pleased.

Tried the new coconut shrimp. Honestly surprised at how good it was. I found myself enjoying it quite a bit and the coconut flavor on the shrimp was noticable without being overpowering or treating artificial. I would definitely order them again on a repeat visit. My only two critique is the building definitely shows it's age, things appear VERY old inside. There is also an immediate small of grease and oil when walking in, but hey most items are fried.

We don’t stop for fast food very often but decided to stop at this long John silvers location for some fish and fries. The staff was very friendly, and Lorenzo did an awesome job of cooking up our fish, fries, and hush puppies with just the right texture and a nice crispy outside. Nice dinner!

Not too bad for a Long John Silver's. This location has been here for decades, and they still can produce decent, deep fried seafood (fast food restaurant style). The staff is friendly here and I have never had a problem in the 20+ years I have been coming to this LJS location.

I ordered the 8 piece shrimp meal with corn and green beans. My shrimp was overcooked, but I ate it anyway. The only good part of my meal was the corn. Long John Silvers have the best tasting, buttery, kernel corn. Maybe it was the time of day I went there which was around 2:30 pm. Or, maybe it was the location. I haven't been to this location in years, so I don't know if it's normal for the food to be served like it was. I'm hoping it would be a better experience for others.

I went today- the drive through line was 6 cars deep and I just thought I would take my chances and go inside. My order was to go so from the time I walked in, ordered and left I would say 5 minutes! I ordered fish and chicken meal. The food was hot including the hush puppies. I do have to agree the fish was a bit salty tasting but still good. Yes the restaurant needs a facelift..... but what do I care- I eat at work anyway. All in all I would definitely go back again.

The food was good but the staff was rude. It was 8:30pm and the website said they closed at 10pm but the staff said they closed at 9pm. After we received our food several other people came in and the staff was very rude and told them the could order but could not eat inside it was to close to closing. The drive thru had several car in it and we could hear the staff complaining about people trying to order. One staff member even went out and blocked the drive thru with their vehicle. I have not ever felt so unwelcome at a LJS.

Excellent service, quick and quality. My favorite thing was plenty of crunchies in the box! Their signature addition, and they did not disappoint! Great prices especially compared to competitors, dollar to food definitely worth it.

Since there is no longer a Long John Silvers near me I come in and order the Chicken and fish to freeze to heat up later in my air fryer. They are always so nice and don't seem to mine my large order.

Food was really good. Had 2 PC fish and more. Fried fresh & awesome coleslaw. Greeted warmly & ate in. So a couple negatives were dried soap residue on tables (a little more elbow grease works) & floors were somewhat slippery from the cleaning agent they have to use. Still a great place for good seafood.

Captain D's base gone completely down hill, no matter where we go for service . It seems to be bad service with bad attitude and bad food no matter which location we go to , now Long John Silver's will be the spot. And we live near the Naval Base in Norfolk and go way to VA Beach just to get fish and shrimp . Always hot food friendly and pleasant service even the fish is big 😋

We had a great lunch at Long John Silvers. Linda took our order and she was so sweet to my elderly neighbor with me. The dining room was clean and spacious. You know you are eating at right place when you always see work crews at a restaurant. That is Long John Silvers. I do not recommend getting it to go. The one time we did that the fresh hot fish steamed in box and continued cooking. When we got home, it was rubbery. So stay and eat right there. They have fast friendly service and the fried foods are not greasy but just crisp and delicious.

Fish was good and tasty the fries were less than warm and mushy not cooked enough. The drive thru was broken down so you had to order at the pickup window so that made the line long and slow

Coming from Houston Tx and roaming around VA for the last 8mo. I hadn't enjoyed many Virginia restaurants. But this food remind me of home. So hot so fresh. I mean authentic hot fresh food. I will make my husband drive back here so I get fresh food. Ty for the experience!

They don't seem to be handling the current situation very well. Their order system is out of order. You drive up to the window and order old school. You wait for prep; it takes much longer. Perhaps they are understaffed. I tried to phone in my order for pickup, but apparently you can only do that if you have a massive order so you wait. It took me 30 minutes to get my order and there was only 2 cars ahead of me. They need to remodel and revamp. This store does not reflect well on Long John Silver

It was great! The cashier was Very friendly and Knowledgeable about the food. They now have the "Catch of the Day" Daily Specials. These include new fish, chicken or crab cake sliders, as well as fish tacos, crab cakes, 10-piece cinnapups, new Deep Fried Twinkies and Popcorn chicken. Being that it was the weekend, I got a ten piece order of cinnapups for a dollar. They were Very Tasty! I also got a fish slider, which comes with pickles and tartar sauce. I had to pay full price because they are the "Catch of the Day" on Monday. I got it made special with Baja sauce and it was Delicious! The staff was incredibly friendly and were cleaning when they were not busy helping customers. I just found out they are open until 10pm on Weekends(Friday, Saturday).

Let's be honest. They need to bulldoze this place and start over. Long John Silver's is a guilty treat around our house, we go once every few months and always feel bad afterwards but hey, we all have our vices right? Thing is, this place is a dump. The food is OK, if you're in the mood for it. We had to go inside today because they were not answering the drive up window and we had a hankering for some fish tacos. The parking lot is dirty, the inside floor was filthy, the whole place is just nasty and needs to be re-painted/re-furbished but honestly, at this point, they might as well tear it down and start over. The bright side, the service was decent and the food was edible, that means the grease was hot enough that the food didn't get soggy greasy, something these restaurants can forget, I don't know how, but sometimes they do. Seriously though, tear this place down, it would be easier than trying to get it up to speed with the other places in the area.

Long John Silvers is my favorite fast food restaurant and I am sad to see so many going out of business. This is one of the last in the area and unless they clean up their store, this one may go under or be shut down by the FDA soon. The food is great and staff is friendly but the floor was an oil slick and the tables were dirty. A little bit of attention to cleaning items like the ice/soda machine, degreasing the floors and cleaning up the walls could do this store well.

First time I went the drive thru was extremely slow but the inside was packed so I guess that was to be expected. The service was still really good despite the wait and the fact the young women looked exhausted. She was very nice and still handled everything as efficiently as she could.

Very unsatisfied with the food... Fish tacos just tested like cabbage and smell... My had the 2pc fish with extra hush puppies instead he got french fries... So when I called the lady back she was kind of really like she didn't really want to so she's been I'm going to send you a coupon in the mail to redeem your order when I asked her name she hung up in my ear....

I love seafood. Havent found one place i didnt like. Food is good. Service is fast. Staff is mostly friendly and professional. Two staff members were in kitchen and i could hear them complaining at the store. I dont care whetjer they are happy or not, i came to eat and relax, not to listen to loud persons with negative comments. Made me feel uncomfortable. Wont go back to that one. Only time that has happened to me was that store.

They rarely get orders right, there's almost always a line, and drive through is extremely slow. Food is consistent, though, and as long as you check your order before leaving, is generally worth the wait.

Haven't been to an seafood place in so long but this location needs to fix itself up. There was an long wait inside since I didn't realize it was near closing plus you gotta pay for an drink with you meal. Don't recommend to go to this location.
