What I like about this place is you can pick your own seafood combos. All their fried baskets were just great. The kids menu also has a variety of selections and our server Jennifer was just wonderful. We just had an awesome Mother’s Day celebration here. We will definitely be back.

Good experience for our 1st visit. Iris was a great server and very attentive. Food came out on time and tasted great. The atmosphere was really nice and we will be going back. Raquel, the manager, came over and checked on us to see how dinner was. It was a nice touch and much appreciated. She mentioned they will have live music in the coming weeks too.

We enjoyed our first experience!! Never had a boil before, this was Spectacular!! The seasonings were Great and when it said "Extra Hot" it actually was spicy. Delicious! I had a boil with snow crab, shrimp and lobster. Hubby had a fried combo he enjoyed. Would recommend. Pricier than I was expecting but definitely worth it. Nice atmosphere and service.

Visited a friend and we stopped here for dinner. Opened about 6 months earlier. My friend had #2 combo with wave special spices and mild hot. She thought space was just right (she does not do much spice) and great flavor. I ordered a pound of shrimp (with wave special spices and medium- I like spice but not too hot since I like to taste my food- so medium was the perfect spice level. We also started off with a bowl of their clam chowder soup- was also really good; made with good amount of fresh clams.

When I walked into the establishment a mask was only required if you prefer. The establishment was also very nice and clean. There was a live DJ on the turn tables, so the vibe was live. My family was having a party so the DJ made it even better for us to party. The drinks were good and the advertisers were amazing. The staff was very friendly and nice. They took our order and it seemed like in no time they were bringing the food out. It was fresh and hot. Definitely was cooked to order. Everything came back just as we ordered without any problems. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone and everyone to enjoy. I’m definitely going back to enjoy myself again.

The service was great and very clean. My husband and I ordered the Seafood Broil Combo’s B & D with Garlic Butter Seasoning. I selected the spice level of hot and it was just enough kick for me. The only downside was the lack of garlic flavor. I recommend the cooks adding more garlic for a better taste. I’ll say to others it’s worth a try. The seafood is very fresh along with nice size portions!

Oh my gosh, my only regret is waiting so long to dine here because it is DELICIOUS! We had the steamed shrimp with mild garlic butter seasoning and the baked Oysters, with medium garlic butter seasoning and the flavor was perfect, and the food was served pretty quickly! I look forward to our next visit to try the crab boil and other buckets. We did not have an adult beverage, but the bar looked nice and they have a happy hour. Also, there were several flat screen TV's if that appeals to you.

**Update**the manager called me and apologized for the experience and expressed her concerns for making it right and speaking with the kitchen staff…covering my next order. I think it is amazing the owners care when there are mistakes…and work in fixing it.Thank you for listening….because of that I will try them again I have heard amazing things about the crab. Uncooked** Food ordered six breaded wings very small and pink When I asked the manager about replacing my wings I asked for 12 instead of six due to the inconvenience and she said sorry we can’t do that I asked if I could speak with management and she said the owner speak Mandarin good luck.👍 Will not be going back. Sharing with the community also.

Food was okay. The boil was the best. The fried baskets were just OK. The clam chowder was just OK. Crab rangoons were good. Nothing fancy or special with the baskets and soup. If you don't want the boils, it's not the GREATEST place to eat. But the boils ARE yummy. Host and server were VERY nice, but we were never asked about a refill for our drinks even though we ALL emptied are cups. Atmosphere is nice and clean. It was a cool night and inside was freezing, like they had no heat on until I heard another customer mention it. Then the heat was turned on.

We got the combo steamer with crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potato and corn. A lot of food for 42 dollars. My daughter and I split it and still had leftovers. My son in law got the snow crab legs with corn and couldn't finish all of it. Great value,friendly service and a DJ for entertainment.

The food was ok and if I happen to be in the area, I might try them again. My first experience with this restaurant wasn't great. I made reservations for the wrong day. When I realized my mistake it was already to late to cancel so I called to apologize and schedule for the right day. I asked to speak with the manager when I called and the person on the phone would not let me speak with the manager. Im not sure what that was all about. The person was rude and very matter of fact. I eventually went to the restaurant and spoke with the manager who immediately agreed with my assessment and did what she could to make it right she also assured me that type of behavior would not be tolerated. The three stars is for the manager. I guess the moral of the story is customer service can make or break the customer's experience.

Our food was delish!!! I had combo a with Lobster/snow crab/Shrimp/corn/potato...son had chicken tenders/fries. I forgot to take a pic but they gave one cluster of crab, a whole lobster tail, about 15 shrimp, 2 corn and 2/3 potatoes. I got the lemon pepper mild seasoning and it was gooooooooood. Our server Nahomy was really good and attentive. The place is really spacious and clean also! We will be back.

Went here for the lunch special during a work day and they did not disappoint! Pre-ordered over the phone and the lady who took my order was so on point! The two ladies at the counter were super friendly, customer service was great for my entire experience! The boil was delicious and flavorful, I got the mild shrimp and sausage boil, which didn’t really have a kick to it like another place I go to, but I loved it super flavorful and awesome price for the lunch special! Love it here I’ll definitely be back and I’ll try the medium spice next time!

We had the pleasure of taking our daughter there for her birthday. Wow! Mark our waiter was awesome! Our daughter ordered the king crab legs! They were huge and awesome! She could only eat 1leg! I had the crab cakes! Yummy. My husband had the calamari! He could not eat it all. Everything came out scalding hot as it should. Appetizers were wonderful! Clam chowder was full of clams! Because it was our daughter’s birthday she received a free piece of cheesecake! We will be back!

OMG. We ate there tonight to celebrate a birthday. The fried seafood combo was excellent as well as one of the combos. I didn’t expect the fried seafood to be that good but it was cooked perfectly and breaded lightly. Not at all greasy. Luis our server was a delight. This will be my favorite new place for great fried food. 😊

First time here, some of the best seafood I've ever ate in my whole life. Minus a delay in service with getting a server to get us started, it was a fantastic meal. Got the build your own steam-pot with black mussels, snow crab, and lobster tails to share with my 8-year old daughter having lobster for the first time. Got a mild cajun spice mixed in with their garlic butter seasoning and I could not believe how delicious it made the seafood taste. Absolutely remarkable. We went on Wednesday for karaoke night, so that was a fun bonus. MUST try their steam pots, they bring them out sealed in a plastic bag to keep them piping hot. Completely delicious, my daughter and I can't wait to go back.

I gave it 5 stars rating cause l had a pleasant experience. Food tasted good based on what l ordered 1/2lb calamari & 1/2lb shrimp with mild seasoning. Not overpriced, and service was great. Bathroom was clean and the staff were friendly. As for liquor, manager said they are working on it. They newly opened and hope they keep the service, quality of food and prices the same.

Haven't been to Tampa in a few years. Went to visit with a friend, and was looking for a place to eat. We had never been, and glad we found it. Very pleased with the whole experience. Was clean and everything was great. I had the seafood boil with headless shrimp and scallops. Very good. Would definately go again.

Excellent choice! We were looking for some good seafood and we found it. Just make sure to wear the bib and gloves if you get the seafood boil.

It is pricey, but the food is amazing, we had the combo E with crab, shrimp and sausage, cajun hot seasoning. So tasty and delicious! Our server, Austin, was very attentive and this place is super clean. Atmosphere is family friendly. Totally recommend it and we will definitely be back.

This is a very good spot to get some good seafood. I've been there a few times and the food is always good. I always order the king crab and sometimes a 1Lb of shrimp. But this time I switched out the shrimp for a half pound of snow crabs. The calamari was so good as well. If you are in the mood for some good seafood, you have to try out this place.

The seafood was lukewarm but tasty, the spices were good and spicy but the music went off after one song leaving us in silence. Our tender Mark made the experience really pleasant though. I saw him ask for a little help, get denied and then handle the pressure brilliantly. The heavy set lady and snappy skinny guy from the kitchen could both take some notes in pleasantries. They may not have talked to us directly but we could observe their behavior on the floor. Solid 3 stars.

First time here and it was fantastic! Our server, Mark, did a phenomenal job. He was extremely personable! Our glasses were never empty and our bellies were full! We will definitely be dining here again! Highly recommend 😊

First time ordering from here and placed a large order through Uber Eats. We're from Louisiana and selected the Spicy Cajun seasoning and it was all delicious. The only very minor negative is that the heavy seafood meal was placed on top of our sweet potatoes. The potatoes were smashed flat, so hopefully this review will make a difference for future customers when ordering their meals.

Good size crabs, good environment, just wished the sauce was not so watery, besides that, It was around $100 for two ppl. We got the crab legs 1lbs / 1/2 lbs sausage and two drinks. Too be honest, it was closer to home so we gave it a shot.

I love crab, and shrimp, and this place gets the job done. My hubby loves their muscles. I'm originally from the DC area and we do blue crabs, I've not tried them here mostly because they do seafood bags and that's not how I eat them. I've tried their wings, those are delish and crunchy. The clam chowder was tasty. I really only show up for the crab leg, shrimp and muscle bag (with corn and potatoes) and good music. My sis says the drinks are strong and tasty. I didn't like the fried cheese sticks (they came out like breaded cheese sticks instead of gooey fried cheese), the fries were dry and hard, the calamari was rubbery, crab cakes were not "lump" crab cakes and they use add-ins (a no no for us DMV folks), hushpuppies were also dry. Plan to spend $40-$50/ person. The weekends are busy, they bring in a good live cover band on Friday's and a DJ on Saturday's. They do have a full bar if you drink. The service can be slower than I'd like (I'm normally a group of 2-4) but I asked them to move some tables around for us when Grammy came to visit last week. About 12 of us ate there for her birthday dinner and they allowed us to pretty much take over a huge section in the middle of the place, which I don't think was their norm. Big thanks to them for that.

It was good and I will ho back but so many restaurants in my area just do not season the food the way I like. The cajun fries looked and tasted like plain fries and checkers has more spice, but next time will ask if I can get maybe a side of seasoning.. the catfish was good but again not much spice for a cajun place.. but service was great Beer was cold.. I will go back.

Our waitress Ellie was fantastic! We all had seafood boils. Two were crab legs the other two were special request boils. All were delicious! Would come back again. Enjoyed our meals tremendously!!

Overpriced food. Selected mild flavor. It was bland. Too much oil on the food. How do you mess up onion rings? "Steamed scallops" were rubbery and seemed to need more time cooking. Took them home and added spices then seared them. Improved but not great. Catfish and shrimp was good but be sure to add a little spice to yours so it will taste better. Tea was awesome. $5 a beer! You're paying for the atmosphere. We wanted to order crab but it was waaay too expensive.

Went to Waves for Fathers Day. Quickly seated and excellent service by Alicia during our visit. Thoroughly enjoyed my custom boil. The crab and shrimp boil was excellent and plentiful! My wife had the fried scallop basket. Both were well worth the cost. We will definitely be back again! I highly recommend this restaurant, both food and service!

very nice looking place and fresh cold ac when walking in from super bright sun at 3pm..the cashier was friendly...still wearing mask ..not my thing.. after walking outside one of the employees leaving showed me the menu..i looked at prices and thought...this is not worth the money...what can you eat and feel full with only 1lb crab or shrimp for 30-50$$..thats just too much.. however the seafood industry is overpriced in todays economy so idk how good any of it is or why prices are extremely high right now for very little...ill have to wait till prices change i guess or a new president does something..how many fish are in the sea presently the tea is gross...i asked for sweet tea ..its nasty bitter not sweet.. if you got the money to dine at any seafood i hope ita thats good . .for the money the staff and restaurant is not the problem..the seafood prices are just way too much overpriced

We only get the crab boils when we go but they are delicious and keep us coming back. Little pricey, between 44$ to 49$ for each but it feeds 2 people easily. Place is always clean and customer service is always good.

The elder lady at front desk took her time to help me. She was on the phone for about ten min while my food sat behind her cooling down. I only gave the 2 star because another worker came and handed me my food after he say I had been there for awhile

The seafood was surprisingly decent. I got the combo A with hot waves special sauce and boiled eggs...which is my usual at other places. The sauce is definitely different and on the watery side but the taste isn't bad. They are overly strict on no substitutions. I always request all potatoes and never had an issue or was told they can't do it at Mr & Mrs Crab or Hot n Crazy and they would give at least 4 to 5 potatoes to make up for the corn. But here, it's a flat out no. They offer paying for extra potatoes or keep the corn out and give you exactly 2 potatoes. Update 8/2022: Waves has gotten a lot better over the past year and they are no longer strict with all potatoes substitution. Changing my review from 3 to 4 stars.

We dined it for dinner. Not a bad price for a party of 4. The combo meals were a great value for the quality of the seafood. They also had half off apps. Our server was Luis, and he was great. My only complaint is that I wish they still offered their house salads. They should do a Cajun shrimp Alfredo pasta. They'd probably kill it because their seasonings are really good! We'll be back for sure!!

We went here on a recommendation of a friend. If I would have listened to these reviews I wouldn't have given this place a shot and I'm glad we did! The food and service was amazing, we ordered an appetizer each my mother got fried calamari and it was amazing she said I got steamed oysters with garlic butter seasoning and they were out of this world. Being from New England we know Seafood and both of our crab boils were fantastic!! This place certainly did not disappoint!!

Coming from Tampa, first off Amazing experience very laid back environment , Great Flavor, Cooked perfectly not over cooked. I actually won the combo A I wish I got a picture but as soon as I saw it, I just had to dig in. Also amazing customer service Me and my mother were waited on by a waitress named bre, she was very kind, great customer service and she was attentive to us as well. This is our second visit. Both times we had Raheen as our waiter. We could not have had better service. He was prompt and checked on us often. We had baked oysters and the crab, lobster shrimp boil. It was served hot and done to perfection. The meal was brought out very quickly. Thanks so much for a great evening.

Great spot. We had a couple combo boils. Crab legs were great. Corn, potatoes and shrimp were as well. $2 tequila sunrise. Great service from Luis and price was good. We will be back

We had dinner last night at the Cajun Crab House. My wife and I split a shrimp, crab and sausage boil with the wave sauce. I have to tell you, it was delicious. I was surprised at how great the food was. If you are looking for great seafood boils, you can't go wrong here. On a side note, the staff were excellent as well!!

It tastes absolutely delicious but the portion size is pretty small for the price you pay. Lobster tail was small. Crab legs were small. Shrimp is average size. Update 1/1/22 Thank you for your reply and yes the customer service was outstanding.

Ordered the fried combo , two crab boils with fried chicken wings as an appetizer. I then requested a to go order for my son of crab legs and crawfish. The chicken wings were burned. We were given the incorrect crab boil for my son and had to drive back for the crab legs and in addition the person that answered the phone had an attitude. Once we drove back home we received the smallest cluster on the planet earth. The fried combo was lacking flavor. We accidentally spilled a glass of water on our table and instead of the waitress helping to clean it up and move our table she totally ignored the situation. Very disappointed. Updated we decided to take a second trip and the food and service improved

My review is a 5 stars from just customer service alone. The food is amazing however their customer service is the icing on the cake. I’ve eaten in and also ordered via food delivery service. When I Dined in with a few friends , our waitress was amazing. We were a bit silly and she engaged and interacted with us. I had a question after placing a food delivery order tonight so I called and Raquel (I believe and please forgive me for misspelling if I did) answered. She addressed my question with kindness. Phenomenal customer service!

Finally made it for a delicious crab dinner. I would 100% love to give this restaurant a 5 star, service with Melo was great! Food absolutely delicious! But the very loud DJ at 6pm was obnoxiously loud... we may have well tried to eat a seafood boil at Club Empire in Ybor at 2am. Will defintley plan to come back.... whenever the DJ is not there. 😵‍💫

Great meal, service was excellent. Our server, Elizabeth, was in training but what an awesome job she did. Stayed on top of things, kept the table cleaned and kept checking on us. Our food was hot, fresh and very tasty as well. Definitely will be back.

Atmosphere was nice, waiter was attentive. However, I have had better seafood and wings. Breaded Lemon pepper wings tasted like regular chicken wings (not enough lemon pepper seasoning) Crab seasoning was just ok, does not compare to other crab places in the area I have been to, it will visit again only if I don't feel like driving the extra miles to Mr. and Mrs.

I've been waiting months for this restaurant to open, and it didn't disappoint. The server was pleasant and attentive, and the food was delicious. My husband and I both got the shrimp and crab leg boil, mine with the cajun sauce and his with lemon pepper. Both were great. It will be nice not to have to drive to Brandon for a good seafood boil. My only suggestion would be to ditch the plastic forks for real ones. It's hard to get the meat out of crab legs with a plastic fork.

Ate lunch here for the first time and certainly not the last. Shrimp & mussels were excellent - butter garlic sauce was delicious. Our waiter, José, was great. He explained the different seasonings & spices. Had a very enjoyable meal with enough leftovers for tomorrow.

our waitress was amazing.by the time our oysters were ready, we placed our order and we had a dozen oysters we barely had time to finish those oyster which were delicious by the way, then our order was up. dont ask me how that was all possible in less than 15 minutes but it was definitely quick and cureteous service.thankyou for an awesome time. sorry about the misspelled words lol.

The crab boil was good. The problem was when my wife and I ordered the boil with 4 prices of corn rather than with the potatoes. When the order came, there were potatoes in the bag. When we brought it to their attention, the cook/owner ask us to send the potatoes back before we could get the corn. Poor behavior from the chef, the server and assistant manager were great.

Food was very good, and I will be returning. However, my server Arianna was quite rude and short with me. I waited to be greeted for a lonng while, and after my drinks had been ordered, I waited 15 minutes for them to arrive and place my food order.

Seafood was excellent and the service was also very good. The only issue was the corn was terrible. But if you're going to this place for corn, find a different place. They did take off the side of corn my mother because she couldn't eat it. I would highly recommend this place.

First time at this new crab restaurant. The first thing I noticed was the music which was surprising considering the area; Urban, R&B, Hip hop from the 90's. The front clerks were young, friendly, and somewhat chatty among themselves. The one thing that was disturbing was customers were only sitting in the middle section. All other tables were vacant. People were being added to a wait-list for a half empty restaurant. So as we waited for our togo order people were being told 15-20 minute wait to be seated. The reason given after the customers saw a half empty restaurant was they only had 2 waitresses and didn't want to over work them. The food was ok but the service and staffing needs to be brought up quickly.

To keep it real I had been having a taste for mr and mrs crab for the longest well my sister told me try waves and the prices are better well I ordered it through door dash and honeyyyy when I tell u mr and mrs crab will never get my money again food was so fresh and good didn’t taste old or like they rushed to cook it or nothing everything was good only thing I will say is the portions are smaller I had 5 crawfish for a half pound and like 6 shrimp for a half pound but I had 3 blue crabs for a pound that’s was good but overall I definitely recommend and I definitely give a 10 out of 10 even though they only allow 5 ⭐️ Oh and very affordable 10⭐️ from me
