Classy restaurant, and pricey. Located in south Tampa. Take your first date here if you can afford it 😁 I liked the food, portion sizes were smaller than what I expected. Greta ambiance and decor ( see pictures). Mostly Italian cuisine with a variety of pastas. It is located under a multilevel parking so very easy to get to( (parking is free), so some saving there. Make sure you get reservations in advance, could be difficult to get prime evening hours spots. Overall I recommend👍🏼

A beautiful eatery and bar! We came for drinks before a cooking class. I want to go back....NOW after seeing the cheese wheel/pasta served table side 😋 All food coming from a bustling kitchen looked phenomenal. Our drinks were delicious. We ordered a side of truffle fries....by 2:30 their tots were sold out. We couldn't taste the truffle but they were pretty good. They have large outdoor area to eat and it's covered. They're also pet friendly. Great place!!

This restaurant drew us in with its beautiful renovations and the food does not disappoint. We had brunch here and the menu was very unique and upscale. We went with breakfast foods, and both our meals were very flavorful. I also like the portion size here. We were nicely filled without being uncomfortably stuffed. Next time we want to try the pasta. The table next to ours was having a pasta dish prepared tableside on a cheese wheel. It looked fabulous!

What a great time ! The entrance, which resembles the perfect picture offers an inviting welcome to the guests. Dimmed lights in the restaurant with clean & spacious interior offers guests to enjoy their dinner privately. Every single dish we ordered was delicious! The waitress was very helpful in helping us navigate through wines & the dines. The pesto wheel is the star of the show (pst. Ask for extra pesto when they make it in front of you). All pasta was fresh! Upgrade recommendation: the bread, could be warmer & softer which will allow it to be eaten with all meals. Ask waitress portion size if sharing with others!

Great Italian restaurant in the heart of Hyde Park. Suggest to make reservations for Friday and Saturday nights as it’s pretty busy. The lighting and ambience is very pleasant. The staff is professional and courteous and the food came out with a good cadence. The food is elegantly presented and flavorful. The wine and drink selection is ample and refined. I highly suggest the truffle aranciana.

What a great experience. The ambiance is nice, the service was excellent and the food was superb. We had the macaroni experience and it was delicious. They make this dish table side. We added salmon and chicken. It was all so flavorful. Definitely give this a try. We'll be back!

UPDATE: Came back with some out of town friends. We ordered the pasta prepared in the Parmigiana wheel. What awesome flavour! It’s a must to try with two or more! Tried Timpano and arrived @ 5p for a pick of seats at the bar. Service by Holly was friendly and efficient. Enjoyed some bourbon and some delicious eats as per the pics. Got a little loud when the place filled up @ 6p. Definitely recommend for wonderful Italian eats.

I cannot say enough good things about Timpano! Everything was absolutely excellent, from the ambiance, to the cocktails, to the service, to the food. Everything was amazing! I highly recommend Timpano. The lobster ravioli was delectable! And if you've never had whipped ricotta drizzled with honey, you haven't lived. This is the perfect place for a romantic dinner or girl's night. Do yourself a favor and experience Timpano. You won't be disappointed!

Sooo Timpano Hyde Park was a pleasant surprise to my taste buds. The atmosphere was a greenery concept with a social vibe. The perfect place for a date or dinner with friends. I sat at the bar to get a good view and I was by myself. The staff was friendly but not as attentive as I'd hoped. Overall, the food was so delicious I will return to try more of the menu. Note, the sides are a good size for two people in my opinion. What was ordered: Scottish Salmon / Creamed Spinach / Smoked Gorgonzola Gnocchi Scottish Salmon = Perfect herbs combo Creamed Spinach = Yummy - add a lil salt (I have a salt problem) Smoked Gorgonzola Gnocchi = Order seconds!

Great experience again at Timoano Hyde Park. Nice Italian restaurant located in the corner of Hyde park. Their ambience, food, and staff are all top tier. Their cheese wheel is a personal favorite, servings says two to three but honestly I’d say closer to a four person serving. We tried their mussels today and they were a tad bit on the saltier end but still good. Come check out this awesome Tampa eatery for a great experience!

This place has never disappointed. The espresso martini is delicious! And we really enjoyed the bottle of prosecco with choice of three juices. The food was amazing, and those tots were the size of four large potatoes! Def will be getting the pasta rolled in the parm bowl again soon!

Good place for a special occasion. The ambiance is amazing. The mussels are a must have if you like seafood. We also had the park to table pasta, which was extremely flavorful. For the drinks , Espresso Martini is a great option.

Visited Tímpano for brunch since they just started serving brunch over the weekend. Customer service was great, however food takes about 40minutes to come out to your table. Adding to that, plates would not come as described on the menu. For instance, we ordered a couple of burgers that was supposed to come with arugula, etc(veggies) and none of them came with. And one of them was missing the sides and they brought it to the table once we were about to finish. Another person from our group order an omelette and came without the multigrain bread. Food was okay and drinks quality were average. (At least the espresso martini which was very milky and lacking coffee flavor). A must try is their mussels which was super good! Ambience is very nice, they had a DJ in the main room and music was not loud. So you could still have a conversation in your table. Would come back in the near future to give them a try again since they are still new to brunch service and our server did whatever it was on her hands.

Timpano recently started serving brunch. My wife and I ordered and split the omelette and french toast. The omelette was on the small side but we enjoyed it. The french toast was delicious. The waitress said it was on the sweet side, which it was but no overbearing. We’ll be back soon to try the lemon ricotta pancakes 😋

Beautiful Beautiful Atmosphere scenery gives a Florida vibe the love how they outside was filled with oranges 🍊. We made a reservation so we were seated pretty quickly once seated we were given our waters and placed drink orders the drink I had was a strawberry drink it was very tasty so that was a big plus for me. We proceeded to make our food order while enjoying really great music. I wanna say it took about an hour and 20 mins to finally receive our food. By them time we got the food our drinks were gone and our waters had been refilled at least 4 times. I had shrimp and grits and it was very flavorful but a small portion. I gave them 3 stars because when I went to eat my silverware was dirty and the portion size.

First time here. Very cute spot. We had reservations and we were running late due to traffic and they were nice enough to move our reservation 30 minutes. The food was so delicious and fresh. The high chairs are not so comfortable for a big guy like me. But the esthetic of the place is nice and the server was great!

The atmosphere is nice and I love the decoration in the restaurant, but the food is okay. The pasta in the cheese wheel is bland and need more seasoning, the asparagus is too salty, but the steak tasted delicious! Our waitress is super nice and friendly! There’s not a lot of options on the menu and the protein is a la carte, so it’s better if you go with friends so you can share a pasta and protein. The price is a little expensive, but the portion is fine. It’s a nice place to go on a date and hang out with friends, but not for family or with kids.

I absolutely love Timpano. The food + staff are always amazing! Yesterday my husband + I especially loved our experience. Tamika met us at the door with a warm smile, then we enjoyed dinner with Amber as our waitress. She + Noah, who created our table-side pasta, brought such a fun energy to our night. Cute little place, but it wasn't as mine blowing as I was expecting it to be. The food was good. Just some was not mind blowing good. Burrata was very small for an appetizer and the bread was so hard I actually did cut the roof of my mouth a couple of times. Waiting for our main course was way to long. We had 6 water refills before our food ever came out. And we saw 4 people around us, some who came in after us, get thier food before us. The waitress did comp our appetizer and gave us some bread, which was softer, for us to wait with till the food came out. It was interesting to see our food made by the table. But it was so dang loud in the restaurant we couldn't hear a thing that was said on what he was putting in our pasta dish. Very disappointed. I'm glad we came out to try a new restaurant, but I'm sorry to say the price for the food was not worth it. There is a way better restaurant in Tampa right off the Riverwalk we rather go to.

Went early on right after opening, cool space. Service was pretty slow, a little too trendy and not enough training / hospitality. Stuffed French toast thing was average for the price, small portion and no wow factor. Nearly $10 for a side of fries that were completely bland. Will go back to try pasta but not holding my breath.

Delicious food, we had the grilled octopus as appetizer it was amazing. We shared the Parm to Table it was so good. The atmosphere is great a little loud but, otherwise great restaurant. Our server was so sweet and nice.

The pasta in the parmigiana wheel🧀 experience is a must have!! We will definitely be back! August 14, 2022 Hi everyone:) My wife and I came here again for brunch and it was totally worth it! 💯 I’m glad she made a reservation because they sat us down 3 minutes upon arrival and of course we had the table pesto cheese 🧀 pasta again which was again super delicious and I highly recommend the shrimp 🍤 and grits! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was an interesting experience. The decor in this place is beautiful! The Pasta Experience was unique. Never seen anything like it! The pasta is made in front of you in this ginormous cheese! The Pesto was amazing! Hands down the BEST pesto I have ever tasted. The dessert! Those donuts are undescribable! Amazingly Deeelicious! I'm still thinking about them! I had been wanting to go here because of the reviews but it seems you have to make reservations. A friend and I were out with our younger daughters and it was early in the day so we decided to walk in and were able to be seated. Definitely want to come back with my husband. Overall great experience and unique food. Wasn't too crazy about the broccolini. I love broccolini but something in this one did not fair well. I think it might be this pickled chili or something. The chicken was also cooked amazing and the chimichurri was good and made with basil.

We had a great dinner at Timpano. My frozen strawberry aperol spritz was on point. We had tuna tartare, grilled octopus and for entrees I had salmon and hubby had the rigatoni. For dessert, we had cover me in chocolate. All were great.

The drinks and food were good, Amber gave us amazing service!!! That night there were several things they didn’t have available but Amber service made up for it. Only bad thing was the girls at the front didn’t seem to know what they were doing, communication was not good.

Have been hearing a lot about this restaurant and finally was able to go! It really was as good as I was expecting. We went on a Saturday night and there was a live DJ which was really great. The Espresso Martinis were some of the best I’ve ever had! We got the “Parm to Table” pasta which the mix in a wheel of Parmesan….fantastic! Great arancini and wedge salad. Service was great as well! Only thing I would skip are the donuts for dessert, but get the Tiramisu!

Great food! I love all the instagramable areas in the restaurant. You must visit if you are in the Hyde Park area! The place is always packed on the weekends. Make a reservation before you go, we waited about an hour on a Saturday.

First time back since the remodel and they have definetly changed course with a more modern and Mediterranean asthetic and menu which is a drastic departure from the previous "old school" Italian fare. Table side smoked old fashioned was very good and the linguine was clearly house made and very light and smooth accordingly.

One of the best experiences we have ever had at a restaurant. Started with a friendly, knowledgeable, hard-working server, who table side served us the delicious Pancetta-Smoked Old Fashioned. I could have eaten way too many of the truffle arancini, the beef carpaccio was one of those dishes my husband talked me into (I have never liked raw beef) and I couldn't get enough of it! We ended with the parm to table- which was stellar as well!

Go there for food, service and atmosphere! I was lucky to be the first table of their new opening Nov 1st 2021..Love the new menu and the staff were super friendly and professional. Make sure you try the most tasteful Burrata for appetizer and enjoy the side table service of fresh pasta as well so delicious, the steak was juicy and just perfect.... everything was on point! food was fresh and tasty, Ambiance was really cool... definitely going back soon adding it to my favorite spots.

I really (like really) wanted to LOVE this place, but it just wasn’t all that great for the price compared to other restaurants nearby. We went for brunch. The food was okay, I got the pasta in the Parmesan wheel (which is a common thing in Germany, but not here, so you pay for the experience) and it was good, but my homemade or $10 bottle of pesto is better. The staff was friendly, but it was a slow experience. The restaurant had a millennial and insta-worthy vibe like they are trying to get influencers, but as a business owner I think they need to focus on the flavors and making sure food comes out faster than in 45 minutes. They already have the photo wall and parking the expensive valet cars out front part down to a T, which gets people in the door, but how many will return?

I had the tiramisu cannoli filled French toast and it was delicious- the dessert (flourless chocolate with chocolate gelato ) was good but very rich. It needed more of the cherry crunch to balance chocolate on chocolate. My big disappointment was the removal of the mimosa bar (past feature) now you can have bottle service for two $53 which seemed super $$$ for one bottle and 2 juices. (I know it’s Hyde Park) A bottomless mimosa would give brunch a reason for me to return. 🥂😎

My girlfriend and I had not been to Timpano since their renovations. The place looks beautiful and the food was outstanding. We parked in the garage (free) adjacent to the restaurant on Swann (entrance/exit is across from Cinebistro). We made reservations for the high top, which had great people and food views. We ordered the filet and the pasta dish with rapini (broccoli rabe). Prices were as expected for South Tampa with the filet cooked perfectly and the pasta al dente (which we loved). And the tater tots - must order if you’re a tot fan! Our waiter Roberto was great, kind and funny. Bread and butter are included with dinner. I took a photo of the parm to table pasta (cute name) option to try it next time. Our bottle of wine was also excellent. We ordered these doughnut cream desserts with chocolate and caramel sauces - look at the photos. Presentation is A+. Great night - 5 stars across the board for food/drinks, ambiance and staff. We’ll be back for sure.

The place looks really nice and upscale, however the food was mediocre. We ordered the rigatoni and lemon ricotta pancakes. The pasta was okay but plain. The pancakes were very pretty but room temp and dry. We assumed they were probably made in advance, which is fine. Service was quick and friendly. Menu was limited with no true standout choices. They do have a pasta made in a cheese wheel that seems to be the popular choice. I would say overall it’s one of those that look cool, but lack in quality. It’s one of the more dog friendly places we’ve been to and they give your dog a treat, so that was really nice.

Went here for the first time last night for date night. Ilana was our server and she did an outstanding job! She smoked the old fashioned at the table in front of me. My fiancé had the Papparedelle pasta and it was so delicious! I had the Ribeye, however I would not recommend it or have it again. Next time I would try a pasta dish. Also, it was really loud inside and difficult to have a conversation. We noticed the outside dining was much quieter and might be a better option for us.

Let me tell you, I was pleasingly surprised by the great food and service. Our server, Christina, was spot on with her recommendations. Meatball apps, Tuna entree, and the Parm to Table Macaroni Experience. My Espresso Martini - Yum! The winner of the evening was the Veal Chop Parmesan. I think the best we have ever had! Thanks Timpanos for a nice evening out.

Sherri was great! She made us feel welcome immediately and took care of us. Can’t remember our server’s name in the bar area, but she was wonderful as well. Very sweet. Food was all excellent…they execute every bit perfectly to the last ingredient. Will be back time and time again!

Went on a Monday evening under a reservation made earlier. Has a stylish decor with both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was prompt and waiter was very attentive. Has a good cocktail menu. I got the smoked old fashioned which was very good. For appetizers we got the meatballs and tuna tartare both of which were good. For dinner we got parm to table, mafaldine, cavatelli, and the rigatoni. The parm to table was fun to watch and added to the experience, however the taste of the dish was just okay, nothing memorable. Mafaldine was actually very good and I would definitely order again. Cavatelli was too salty, and rigatoni was just okay. For dessert we got the bombaloni, and the tiramisu both of which were very good. Overall experience was pleasant.

Park to table was amazing. Great tasting pasta and the server peeping the meal was very nice. 2-3 serving is accurate. Great meal. Drinks were also great. The cucumber Zen martini was smooth and had a lot of the cucumber flavor. A must try again restaurant.

It was a girls day so we sat at the bar and had cocktails. The bartenders were very nice and friendly. I only gave 4 stars since we didn't eat. I will update review when I try the food which I'm sure is good because it was busy for mid day.

Great location, great atmosphere. The waitress was wonderful. The food was not good. The tuna tartar tasted ok but it was very warm when served which made it not enjoyable. The shrimp scampi was so fishy to where I couldn’t even eat it. The pasta dish tasted good but the pasta itself was way undercooked. The Gorgonzola gnocchi was delicious but again wasn’t cooked properly and the gnocchi would fall apart on the fork. I don’t think I would go back here. Pretty disappointing for a nice restaurant.

Cute and trendy restaurant but that’s about it. Drinks were pretty good but the food was completely flavorless and not worth the price. Service took forever, and while it was busy the length of time we had to wait for our drinks and food to arrive didn’t correlate with the amount of guests in the restaurant. Beef carpaccio was great but the Parmesan tater tots were terrible. My friends had different pasta dishes and were also disappointed. Good place for drinks and cute pics, not the best place if you want a good meal. Our server was attentive to the needs of the table and was very nice.

The roasted mussels are one of the main reasons I keep coming back, the presentation, and taste is above par. The other items in the menu that we have tried are always exceptional as well but the mussels are my fave! The service is great, our most recent waiter Simone was wonderful and always made sure we had what we needed. He's a keeper and a gem for the establishment =)

Food: The best mussels I've ever had were at Timpano... in 2020. The mussels they have now do not compare. Completely different - and inferior - preparation. The portion is generous, but the recipe is lacking. Also, the accompanying bread was too hard and it wasn't enough bread for the amount of mussels. Service: It was mostly fine. No long waits to get a table, or drinks, or food. But the server did disappear for a while a couple times. We had to wait a bit for the bill. Atmosphere: Like many restaurants these days, it was too dark and the music was too loud. I don't want a dining experience in a nightclub. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but I'm not aching to return any time soon.

It's absolutely gorgeous here. We loved the ambience, the staff and the food. Everything tasted so fresh as well. I docked a star just because it took so long for us to receive our food. Granted we were a party of 10, however when most of the food did come out, we were still waiting on one meal. We plan on returning though, perhaps for date night to experience the ambience and service at night.

Started with a mixed drink. Bartender was great. Got two orders of oysters on the half shell. Had a couple with pieces of shell in them. The oysters had no flavor. Got the veal and the steak. Veal was over cooked and my wife, s steak was to rare. She ordered medium. Waiter was great .A lot of money( 297.00) for a okay meal. I was in the restaurant business, it can be hard to always get it right..

Loved this place before the renovation, and somehow it got even better. Our server Arianna was perfect. Her recommendations, manner, and attention to detail perfectly matched our meal, which was beyond excellent. The pesto bucatini made table side in a giant parm cheese wheel…unbelievable.

Had an amazing time Sunday for their brunch. The Bartender was incredible. We ended up getting seated right in front of a live DJ that was fire 🔥 DJ ASEP! We did spend well over $600 for our group. But considering the amount of drinks and food ! Well worth it. The live DJ kept us there for hours !!! Can’t wait till next Sunday to see her again:)

Food and service were awsome. Waitress made my daughter feel extra special on her special day. Pasta with pesto was made in a cheese wheel at your table even the kids at the next table were amazed. Husband is a pesto fan and said it's the best he ever had. Definitely going back.

To me it’s just another restaurant with nice aesthetics and mediocre food. The drinks were great and the ambiance was cute. However the food was bland to me. My appetizer, side dish, pasta and salmon all tasted the same. My whole meal tasted like truffle oil. I would go back just to sit at the bar . I wouldn’t eat.

This is my second time visiting Tímpano since they renovated. My partner and I really enjoyed how flavorful our appetizers were (we got the calamari, the oysters and the truffle fries) but the service was disappointing. Our fries and calamari came out first, they were cold so they were happy to remake them. However, it seemed like our server was annoyed with us the whole time and we were pretty sad. We never got any plates, silverware or linens from our server so we had to ask a hostess for stuff when our food arrived. We also noticed that our oysters came out way later after our fried appetizers came. Overall, we were excited about trying new food but the service definitely deters us from coming back for future experiences. We wished the service was a bit more attentive but it seems like our server was rush and quite disinterested.

Great vibe with excellent service. We will be back. There were 4 of us and I had the Tuscan kale Caesar(delicious) to go along with the parm to table pasta. The others in my party ordered NY strip which was excellent and the veal which was also great. Finished with tiramisu and espresso martinis. Pricey but well worth it. Highly recommend!

I've been to Timpano before and after their revamp and I will say their new vibe is great! The service is great, the food is very flavorful. The pasta cooked in the wheel of cheese looks like so much fun- going to have to get that next time. We got their mussels, nuseke's bacon, pancakes, tiramisu french toast, and a Caesar salad. A great recommend if you can dole out the extra greens… Went on a Thu night and was fully packed - talk about being in a recession. It’s a medium upscale bar and restaurant- so this was expected with the local dimming and echoing conversations. You can also sit outside to avoid all this. The staff gets a 5/5 for all things they should do - welcoming front desk, patient server and observant patrons looking at every table occupied for any urgent needs. The food is really good - for a family of 4 - we ordered the Parm to the table with roasted chicken. This can easily feed 4 because it is really heavy on the cals. Try the Chili margharita - had a nice hot tang to it but it seemed too salty. Fresh ingredients, fresh food - they make the pasta right at your table with interesting conversation. A good recommend overall.

Our server was adorable and took really good care of us! The cocktails were great (I had the frozen blood orange negroni and my mom got the basil basilica) and we split quite a few of the small plates (calamari, mussels, panzanella salad, kale Caesar, stuffed mushrooms, and the tuna). I have been here several times and have always be very pleased. This time we did the brunch menu and again we were very happy with our meals. My traditional breakfast of eggs, sausage and potatoes were delicious. I had sangria with my meal and it was served in a large full glass. Amazing birthday experience at Timpano. Everything was great. The atmosphere was upbeat and vibes. It was a very fun experience to have someone prepare the noodles in the cheese wheel in front of you. They were flavored with pesto and meat can be added on separately. The food tasted fresh and delicious and the wine was also nice. Definitely recommend booking in advance, and getting a reservation to this great restaurant!

We celebrated Father’s Day tonight, first time at this restaurant. Decor is beautiful and atmosphere was wonderful. The food was delicious. However, there was a mix up with our order and my husbands meal arrived after we already finished our meal. Jessica, the restaurant manage came to the recuse. She placed the correct order, waited on his food and brought it out PERSONALLY! Even after this mix up I would totally recommend this place and return for another meal.

From out of town and decided to try Timpano. Clam Chowder was ok.The salted mussels were amazing. The table bread was fresh baked and crispy. Really enjoyed the live jazz band and atmosphere. The service was prompt. Decent bottle selection; California Rosé was perfectly dry (way it should be) and complimented our experience.

Nothing, but a great experience. Had dinner here with some work associates talking over business deals, and everything was on point. We sat at the bar, and Ross was our bartender/ server. Everything flowed nicely from the drinks, the apps, to the main course. For apps we had a flat bread, with a order of meat balls. The main course for me was the ossobuco, and a dude of cream spinach. The guys with me had a filet, and the other had the skirt steak. If you can make a skirt steak taste the way they did then you know you know what your doing. All, and all it was a great visit, the service was great, the food excellent, and deals got closed. What more could you ask for from a nice restaurant.

We had a great experience at timpano! Service was excellent. We got the pasta on the cheese wheel which was to die for. Plenty of pesto and so much flavor! Cocktails were delicious. Definitely recommend their espresso martinis as they were probably one of the best we've had. Ambiance was on point as well. Plenty of people which made the vibe at the place feel a lot more inviting. Salmon was another highlight of the night. It was so crunch on the outside with the herb crust but so soft and moist on the inside. Truly one of the best salmon dishes out there. Can't want to go back!

It was our first time in Hyde Park on a nice Sunday afternoon right after lunch and the atmosphere was nice. Free parking was also nice as well. There was still construction going on so we weren't able to venture through all of Hyde Park as much as we wanted but got what we could while we were there. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from and wanted to go to Goody Good burgers but it was packed outside of the restaurant just trying to get a table so we decided to try Timpano. We were greeted at the door and seated almost immediately. Thankfully, it wasn't too busy. They seated us in a nice, comfortable booth. The decor and service was nice, definitely different. The waiter folds your napkin and places it onto your lap so that was a plus! Things we ordered: Off menu: Swordfish - Delicious and the potatoes that sat under it was absolutely yummy! Trio: Beef sliders, Portabella and Spaghettini - Good but a small portion. Dessert: We had Cookies and cream and raspberry icecream - Delish as well! Did we have a killer experience? No but it was nice kind of different. Would we return? I think so if we are ever in the area once or twice a year.

I used to be a fan of the old Timpano, it had a nice classy vibe and the food was always exquisite. Naturally, I was excited to hear that they reopened. Their new concept is a social media attraction, which is fine, especially when you’re trying to recover from a large investment; however, the quality of the food itself was lacking. The mussels which I was always a fan of were so over cooked the shells were melted onto the pan, the sangria tasted like flavored seltzer water. The vibe is nice and I’m sure they’re packed every night with reservations. Getting people through the door is easy but to keep them coming back again and again is key. A few months have passed so I thought I’d try Timpano one more time, for a Sunday brunch, and again had some issues. The kitchen was very slow that day and took 45 minutes-ish for our meal. It wasn’t until a Manager came to the table, and we expressed our concern that the food came out. Other tables seemed to also have similar wait times. The menu was very limited since several items weren’t available including their brunch burger. The manager was nice enough to comp some items, but I think it’s safe to say that we won’t be back at least until they’ve figured things out with this relaunch. Hope things improve, it’s a nice place in a great location.

Timpano has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Tampa. The interior is decorated beautifully and the service is friendly. Everything on the menu was delicious. The frozen aperol spritz and dessert table side donuts were absolute showstoppers. The cheesewheel pasta is delicious and includes enough pasta for three people! This is an amazing place and I recommend reserving a seat in advance to ensure a comfortable experience.

Absolutely love this place!! Best smoked old fashion I have ever had and that’s saying a lot. Appetizers were out of this world amazing. Burrata, beef carpaccio, tuna tartare to name a few. The pesto pasta bowl wasn’t my favorite but it wasn’t that it was bad. I just think it wasn’t for my pallet. I can’t wait to try more entrees! Can’t wait to revisit this place. Everything from the bread to the drinks to the dessert is amazing. You get true Italian food when you come here. Entrees range from $18-40 so it's a bit on the pricier side. For dessert, I recommend the butterscotch bread pudding!

Most unique experience. Family style high end fare. And you have to get the donuts for dessert. Crazy mix or pasta, seafood, and beef. We had a lot of dishes at the table and all.of them were amazing. Park in the garage right next to the restaurant (or at least try to) for easiest access. They do offer valet parking.

Portions are above and beyond and the food is phenomenal! I had the NY Strip both trips and don't have anything bad to say. Definitely returning - would recommend making reservations in advance!

I was so excited to finally eat at my favorite restaurant, after it being closed for almost 2 years due to Covid. I knew they were giving the restaurant a makeover, but unaware they would have a completely different menu and a little higher in price point. But hey... it's still has to be delicious, right!?! To the point... I've gone back 3 times and will never go back again. Their new menu is terrible. The dishes sound great, but I tried 3 different things on the menu and wasn't impressed. Plus, I tasted my company's food as well. The dishes have fancy names, but it seems like they use cheap quality ingredients. The parm cheese tastes like it came out of a can off of a shelf. The homemade pasta is not cooked properly. They need to get the old menu and quality back. On a positive note the servers each time were very nice and delightful to have.

Our friends order chicken and pork: $28 for a chicken breast, no sides $36 for a pork chop, no sides We ordered pesto pasta, shrimp, and two glasses of the cheapest wine which totaled $120 with tax and tip. That’s crazy. Never going back and won’t recommend.

I have to say I'm extremely impressed. The bar atmosphere was amazing the drinks were phenomenal and it definitely reminded me a little bit of new york. Being from Brooklyn The nightlife speaks for itself with Florida and Tampa it's not the same but I would recommend this to anyone because it definitely gives you that New York vibe. I will be back . Only thing is I wish the staff didn't wear masks. We know they don't work and it's brings down the ambiance.

Went to Tímpano for the first time after the reopening I was happily surprise with the new image of the restaurant. The atmosphere feels just great good job 👏. Didn’t have a good experience with my food unfortunately first my server was quite busy I have to ask him many times for water and bread. I saw him passing by ya many times serving other tables like he couldn’t keep up. We ordered the Arancini always my old times favorite at Timoano still consistently good ., I decided to adventure with the pasta made inside the Parmesan wheel it was quite an experience with some improvements to do. The gentleman that was making the pasta didn’t to the time to explain us the process while making the pasta he seemed very disorganized with the utensils he needed to make the pasta he was worried so we did. The piece of meat we ordered to eat together with the pasta came raw even though I asked well done We had to eat the pasta first while they weee fixing my bloody piece of meat by the time the meat came I was done with my pasta and my apetite was gone. I really wished we had a better experience food wise.

We wanted to love this place because we went there for a birthday party with 10 people, and the service was very good. The atmosphere is nice looking but it is so incredibly loud that is very hard to talk to anybody. But the real issue was the food just wasn't that good. They talk a good game on the menu but everybody that got the different pastas and such felt like it was all pretty bland. In some ways it was nicely put together, and the plates looked pretty nice, but the bottom line is how does it taste. And most of the people thought that the food was okay but not excellent or even good. It just needed more spicing to create some more interesting flavor profiles especially at the prices that they charge here.

Food was good, but not amazing/worth the price. I shared the parm to table pesto pasta with someone (serves 2 maybe 3) and it was decent and a lot of food but not amazing... In my opinion, $40 pasta should be amazing. A few people at our table got food that lacked flavor or had rather small portions for the cost of the dish as well. Atmosphere was great, service was great, but there are quite a few other local restaurants I would prefer for that price.

We highly enjoyed our meal this evening at the newly reopened Timpano. At first glance the menu seemed basic but each dish was executed well. We devoured the calamari, enjoyed our cocktails and a bottle of wine. We would come back for the parm to table pesto dish! Our server Bailey was attentive, we had one dish with undercooked pasta and she made sure we still had a more than pleasant experience. The smoke doughnuts were interesting, and we highly enjoyed the tiramisu! It’s definitely not an intimate restaurant and the noise level can get pretty high. All in all a great experience and would recommend trying it out!

Went for the first time this evening. I don't usually do reviews, however, Timpano deserves one. Our server was Ilana, who was absolutely stellar! She was the consummate guide for our dining experience. The food was very good and the presentation was nice. The only negative was the noise level. Due to all the hardscape, there is not much to be done about it. If I lived in the area, I would be back often!

It's okay. Atmosphere and service is excellent, but the apps were the only great thing (the arancinis were REALLY good). The pasta wheel is overhyped. The pasta they used looked like box pasta/sticking to itself and the pesto was WAY too garlicky. For pasta that's made in a cheese wheel you don't taste cheese at all and oddly it was cold despite them using "boiled pasta water". The dessert was lackluster as well.

I was looking forward to their reopening, so.much so that I made a reservation for our anniversary dinner. Didn't have to wait to be seated. Ordered drinks, was told that they didn't have the ingredients for an apple martini. Ordered steak with the a la carte mushrooms, was told they didn't have mushrooms, my wife and my orders were delivered separately. So I had to wait until my wife's order was delivered before eating. Ordered desert drinks, they apparently forgot as we had to ask about them, and constantly had to ask for our water glasses to be filled and refilled. Im.sure after time the service will improve, but for right now, not so much. Also changing th e menu has resulted in limited menu.

Good choice on the patio on a Saturday night to watch the passersby, have a few tasty cocktails, some apps and salads and top it off with the most amazing, massive piece of chocolate cake ever! Food and service were great. Atmosphere not so much. Got seated right in front of live music so loud my dinner partner and i could not hold a conversation. Hostess needs to tell people there will be live music and give them an option to be seated away from the musicians.

our family was on our way to a burger joint when we passed this restaurant and decided to turn around and have a nice dinner instead. Wow were we happy we did. Friendly staff, excellent service, food cooked to perfection and sizable portions. No skimping on the alcohol in our drinks either. We had our Designated driver, so no issue there. Music was fabulous but was a touch too loud Highly recommended and we will definitely visit again on our next trip to Tampa.

Went here for our New Years Eve dinner and it was excellent. We started out with an order of the mussels and what a great choice. Even if your not a fan of mussels you have to try them. We all ordered something different for our entrees and we all enjoyed our meals but wish we would have saved room for dessert.

I will preface this review with we have eaten here before and had some great meals. But tonight was certainly the exception. We waited for almost 15 minutes for our waiter even after having asked everyone to help us in the restaurant crew they did apologize profusely which was nice and gave us a coupon for next visit. However, I must write that the meal was less than their normal standard. My New York strip steak was of quality found in any of the chain steakhouse restaurants. It was a very disappointing grade and I hope this does not become a trend because historically we've had great experiences here.

I took my parents there for dinner on Monday night. They were short staffed in the kitchen, and the executive chef bobby Osso took the time to meet with us and talk. Yet the dishes were great! My mother said the crab cakes and mushroom soup was the best she ever had. Service was great! They didn't rush to take the order, just let us enjoy the meal one at a time and take order for next one.

Best place in Hyde Park. The mussels are the highlight appetizer. So happy they reopened after the pandemic. New decor and updated menu. Only thing is they should lose the DJ later in the evening. It takes away from the restaurant and makes it too clubby.

Great food! Service was a little slow but it was Gasparilla weekend. Servings were small so FYI, it's delicious but might not fill you up. They were very apologetic about the slow service and bought us a round of drinks so no hard feelings -- it happens. The patio was very nice, with heat lamps since it was a little chilly (for Florida).

Went here for Saturday brunch and had a good time here. The restaurant is Italian themed with many delicious items to choose from. The service was to be expected and the food was quality. They have large seating areas and can accommodate large size parties. They also have an outdoor seating area which is greta when the weather is nice. When we went there was even a musician playing live music. It was an overall very pleqaurable experience. I definitely recommend coming here for lunch/brunch on the weekends.

I would have likely rated this a three star...or possibly two start experience without the Manager introducing himself. Arrived for Dinner and was quickly seated on the patio. The restaurant was mildly busy. Our waiter was quick to arrive with water but neither introduced himself by name nor was particularly friendly. After taking our drink orders, he left. Fifteen minutes later, after my girlfriend and I had been both doing the "look around for our waiter" for at least ten of those minutes, the Manager himself saw us and came out to the patio. Jesse, the Manager, spent time with us answering several questions about various meal selections and offering his opinion on the appetizers we were considering. Very polite and professional. Our waiter, likely noticing the Manager was with us, decided it was a good time to pay attention to us again. The food itself was very enjoyable. The Manager checked on us once again during the meal to see how we were enjoying his suggestions. After our first visit my thoughts are: Pro: Food was good and the Manager was observant and friendly. Con: Our waiter was less than optimal. That being said, nowhere near as terrible as the service at a certain Chop House in Ybor. Miscellaneous: All sides are a la carte. Do not expect sides to be included with your meal.

Update I have revised my review and brought my number up to a 3 because I have eaten here before and it was very good and the service and everything was great. The management has taken full accountability and ownership and this says alot about their character and I really appreciate so I will give them a second chance. I have eaten here before and it was amazing sadl tonight. It was a joke. Our waiter was patient and great but not given the tools to do his job. We had a reservation and yet we were stuck in a aisle that was not ADA compliant to the bathroom. We were getting bumped and smacked by passing servers and customers. Not ok when your dealing with a spinal cord injury. People sat after us and around us had already finished their food and left before ours was brought to us two and a half hours after we were sat down. Heard alot of excuses about why our food wasn't coming. When food came it was cold. They had to take it back and heat it up. Disapointed really would have liked the evening to have gone better. Honestly the waiters kindness and patience kept us calm. This is the first time I have ever complained about a restaurant.

A great place. I went there for Sunday brunch. The menu is limited for brunch but still had great selections. I started with brushetta and had unlimited mimosas. Absolutely recommend the brushetta. Best Happy Hour in Hyde Park! So many delicious options (tuna tartare, flatbreads, meatballs) and the drink options are great as well. Though, there was an odd crowd (1 guy in an A shirt and another wearing a mesh back baseball hat), so I am not certain if the clueless crowd maybe wore short on the wait staffs patience. I will def try them again and if the service is a notch above tonight, it will be a Tampa staple.

This restaurant is a treat for more than just the palate. All the senses are rewarded with the choice of art, musical accompaniment, and decor. The indoor experience is rich and luxurious as if transported to a bouchon in Lyon, France. The outdoor terrace is long and can seat a banquet table for larger parties which includes shimmering decorative lights emanating from the heart of Hyde Park Village. I shall be dining again in the next week for my birthday and look forward to the experience.

Went for an Easter dinner. Our waitress was not good. Our food was cold. It was a very long wait to get the food. I had to ask for my soup before the meal after the waitress finally came to see about us. The soup was the wrong soup. The correct soup was cold. I ordered the Arugala salad w/Shrimp. When the food finally arrived I had a salad with no shrimp, my wife had eggs benedict that was cold. This was the worst experience I've had in a long time at a retaurant.

"The Best Grilled Cheese Sandwich in Tampa Bay" My family and I secured an indoor booth on Sunday for lunch. Regrettably, we were greeted by a slow hostess and a wild and loud bar scene. After being seated and dutifully listening to the engaging conversation of my table, a patron at the bar was so intoxicated, he fell backwards ON the bar stool, flat on his back - where he and the stool remained for a good 30 seconds because of the force in which he landed. Clearly, he was "out of it". He obnoxious partner in "crime" was laughing hysterically. Surprisingly, neither of the two YOUNG bartenders came out from behind the bar to help the customer up to his feet. And, the General Manager, Miles McConnell, was no where to be found. In fact, when I asked our server to bring the manager to our table, I was the first to report the incident to him. It took a few minutes, but Miles eventually asked the two "gentlemen" to leave. I must report, that the inexperience of the bar staff to continue to serve these men and their lack of responsiveness to a rather serious and disturbing situation was shocking. There is a valuable lesson here to be learned. Now, on to my review of the Grilled Cheese. If you're up for a light lunch, order the gourmet Grilled Cheese Sandwich made with Housemade Mozzarella, Grana Padano and Provolone Cheese and accompanied by a savory Tomato Bisque. Our server was attentive and gracious. If a loud bar scene is not your thing, may I suggest one of their linen lined tables outside?

I really like this place I live close around to it I really like the service the food options are really good I love their menu the staff is really friendly and I love the wine section in the menu the food was served quick fresh and hot the manager is really friendly it's at a nice location plenty place to park and really worth the expense
