This was our first time here. Their fried mushrooms were good but the portion was underwhelming. It was like infant size. The fried haddock & scallops were impressive but lacked seasoning, the broccoli was seasoned very well. If your going to get the fried haddock sandwich opt for the meal instead. More bang for your buck. The Lobster bisque was very fishy. The clam chowder was good.

Best part about our date night was our server Carlos! He was great. The food overall was good but not spectacular. As a Bostonian, avid traveler and foodie, I wasn’t blown away by the seafood. It’s a good option if you are in a pinch but not a place I would become a regular at.
I had the lobster roll which came out amazing, there was a dead bug on my lemon, but that was an easy fix (don’t use the lemon) rest of the plate after inspecting was good to eat. The lobster was chewy and a bit over cooked. The fries were great crispy on the outside soft on the inside and light. They weren’t weighed down with oils.
My better half had the blackened mahi. He said the fish was good but his mashed potatoes were cold when they came out.
I got the rum punch which I wouldn’t recommend. It was watered down and I couldn’t taste the alcohol at all, only got sprite and orange juice flavor.
I don’t believe they deserve less than a 3 ⭐️ but definitely just middle of the road. I was really hoping for more.

Date night! We decided to give this place a try as my father in law suggested it. He mentioned crab legs and that was it for me! Oh boy, did I enjoy my dinner tonight! The sides I chose, were loaded mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Hubby got blackened mahi mahi with coleslaw. We shared my crab legs as it was a lot for just me. They have a nice area for outside seating and the inside was nice as well. Wee will definitely be going back.

This place is excellent. Food is great and fresh. This restaurant and the bathrooms are very clean. Great atmosphere, nice 80s music...if you like that which I do. I will definitely come back here. I had the fisherman's platter, it was great.

The experience we had at The Great Catch Oldsmar was just fantastic. We enjoyed a private seating area. The entire staff was hospitable and professional. The food was amazing with large portions, excellent seasoning, and tasty dessert options. It was certainly a Taste of Boston. If you have the opportunity, I strongly recommend!

My first time here (Oldsmar location). Hubby's bestie recommended we try it. Beer is C O L D. The gator bites are one of the best I've had. Just a little kick of spice in the batter, and it's served with a honey mustard sauce. Hubby had the fried shrimp, my son had the large Fisherman's platter (scallops, haddock, clams, shrimp French fries and onion rings), and my mom and I both had the Haddock platter, hers was fried, plain and I had fried Cajun. the DO NOT scrimp on portions. We had so much food that we have enough leftovers for another meal. Brittany, our server, was very attentive, efficient and personable. Ya'll need to check them out.

Best coleslaw I’ve ever had!!!
My wife and I both had the lobster roll and coleslaw, and we shared the lobster bisque. Mmmm great food, sat outside on a perfect 75F evening. Our server Olivia was very polite and did an excellent job!

The picture explains it all empty plate and no leftovers!! Andrew did and amazing job. Everyone was polite and very respectful and knowledgeable on the menu. Great experience and will be returning right down the street from my house and buisness, and it’s like your by the beach Bar open to outside and inside great concept and design most importantly great menu and variety.

The breaded items were well seasoned (fried mushrooms, gator bites, fried carrots that came w/ceviche). Great happy hour prices for quality food, and nice portion sizes (Gator and fried mushrooms were ~$6ea I believe) . I'm not a ceviche connoisseur, but I thought it was flavorful and nice meaty texture, breaded carrot strips were surprising and flavorful touch--and at $10 all day--incredible deal! Fair amount of outdoor seating + bar area. Friendly service. Bathroom smells like potpourri 🙂

We sat outside, multiple fans blowing keeping us cool. The snow crabs were good. Server was sweet. Disappointed with the Mahi tacos, they were soggy. Watermelon drink were refreshing.
