Reviews of The Dubliner Irish Pub
Great drinks and decent food . There is a small dance area and live music was great . Good place to hangout for a party night . Drink prices are reasonable.
Nice for college kids, live music but there’s no kitchen, just bar.
(Edit, used to be five stars) Pub that knows how to pour Guinness, that is all. Chris is the GOAT, should be tipped at least 30%; (edit) I left the previous part a year or so ago and stand by it, but was back in town and went during the day and am sad to report the bartender at that time either didn’t know how to properly pour a Guinness or let alone recognize a bad pour with a beer or bag keg setup and it turned out like then new picture. After a few minutes I had a fly knat walking on the foam. I still believe in the Dubliner, still a pub with old timer character but maybe the staff has changed I am not sure. Take it as you will. Lost two stars. 😔
Fun place. Deceptively large with an indoor and outdoor area. Live music and plenty of TVs. Good amount of seating. Won’t get gouged by the drink prices. The pizza is PHENOMENAL and highly recommended. Fast friendly service ...you should check it out.
I recently went to Dubliner for the first time in a while and it still continues to produce a good night out. Always has good live music and cold beer. It could use a little re-modeling and liquor... what bar in south Tampa doesn't have liquor. Love it has an inside plus open and covered deck depending on what weather permits. Love the chicken pizza!!!!
Such an amazing bar. I always spend a couple hours here when I go out in Soho. Their buffalo chicken pizza is ridiculously amazing and their drink prices are competitive with the other bars in Soho. The bartenders here are more professional than most. No other bar in Soho has bartenders that are as friendly and upbeat with a bunch of people surrounding the bar.
my favorite bar on soho. I’d come here every night if I could but my boyfriend prefers saloon for their basketball hoops
Service was great. Lover, John, and Jen made sure we stayed happy and fries were amazing. Band has some songs they dont have the voice for buy others they ace. Hope to go back again soon for another great time.
Fun bar with lots of shaded outdoor seating. The food is decent, just standard bar food. Drinks are good but no liquor, just beer and wine. Service was a little on the slow side but friendly
The live music on Saturdays is so much fun, they always sing great throwbacks and classics. Bartenders provide excellent banter and phenomenal service. Just wish they served liquor here!
One of my all time favorite hangouts. Been frequenting the Dubliner for over 10 years. They always have had friendly service, great pub food (try the Irish Nachos Pizza!), and a decent enough beer selection to please most.
John, Chris, and Ian are all awesome bartenders! Great people at a great place. Their drinks do the trick and their food tops it all off! Highly recommend, 1000/10 !
If you don't mind the crumbing of the ceiling or walls this local watering hole has some awesome live music, good drinks and bartenders who are knowledgeable and friendly. Food was better then your average bar food and the all over feel of the bar was laid back fun for the average Joe. Not swamped with under age kidos who just want to bump and grind. More of the hole in the wall place, for the older person looking for a cool place to have a few beers.
I am exhausted from a full day of work and a night out...yet I am staying up to write this review. The staff on New Years, Kevin, Blackie (DJ KITTY), Alyssa and Clint were amazing. After going to other bars and feeling uncomfortable, with my buddy (a combat medic), this bar was a great escape from the drunk and crazy that surrounded it. They put up with a very disrespectful guest, who was from Texas (he let the entire bar know), they were all amazing and friendly, regardless of what he might put on reviews
Celebrated here after a football game. The staff was friendly and plenty of beer options.
The atmosphere is nice outside. The food was ok, not a huge selection. Some of the music was really offputting and tough to have a conversation with in the background because it was annoying football songs or very very vulgar.
Live music was great but I'd recommend getting bottled beers at this establishment. The taps on several beers were not the best.
I love the Dubliner. Best scene in SoHo for upper 20s to mid 30s. Yard and Ale and MacDinton's have their own strengths, but the friendlier and more personable crowd at Dubliner takes the crown. The live local bands are great.
Green Bay Packers bar in Buccaneers territory! Standard pub fare, reasonably priced. Wide selection of local and nationally brewed brands, moderately priced. For sports viewing, televisions were moderately sized, and the sound for all games are linked to one system. Service for drinks are in plastic cups instead of typical pint glasses.
We used to visit the Dubliner on Henderson in Citrus Park quite frequently, and have really missed their Irish menu since that location closed. We don't get to South Tampa/SoHo often, so when we ended up in the area late Friday afternoon, we knew where we wanted to stop for drinks & dinner.
First, the inside is very small! But it has an old, historic vibe that I love. The bathroom walls were heavily covered in graffiti (which I thought reminiscent of NYC punk bars like CBGB), however, the actual restroom facilities were spotless. As it wasn't dark yet, we decided to sit outside on the patio, and enjoy the pleasant weather. With only a few patrons sitting at the patio bar, and no one at any tables, we weren't sure of the ordering protocol. After nearly 10 minutes of wondering if we needed to order at the bar, a cheery server came over to help us.
I'd forgotten the Dubliner only serves beer & wine - no liquor. But our waitress, Jamie, was incredibly helpful in suggesting something on tap that I would enjoy. And I loved my Angry Orchard draft ale (or was it cider?)!
Choosing what to eat was more difficult! Although the Dubliner has a small & limited menu, we just couldn't decide.... So we agreed to split a couple of dishes. I ordered the Shepard's Pie, and was NOT disappointed! Perfect balance of meat, vegetables, mashed potatoes & cheese. Hubs ordered the Irish Nachos, and we loved the use of waffle fries instead of tortilla chips. We also split a bowl of Bacon & Potato Soup with toast... I could've made a meal of that deliciousness! Sooo good.
We'll definitely be back for more of the Dubliner! I have no idea if this is a true representation of an Irish bar, but I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. And we can't wait to try the fish & chips on a return visit... We saw a couple of plates delivered to a neighboring table before we left, and were stunned at the mountain of fried fish! I'd also like to sit at the big, old bar inside, and experience that ambiance.
Even though in the poppy District of South Howard , This bar is a refreshing take And just a couple steps out of the way. Great staff Great environment Great location An overall fun bar
During the week, sitting outside here is exactly what you want from an Irish bar in Florida. The food is good (except the fries - those are from frozen, everything else is made fresh), the beer is a mix of Irish and local, and the outside space is comfortable.
Great Irish pub in Soho, we loved the live music (shout out to Al Moses who stole the show) and the darts inside. Highly recommend!
if you want to go to soho, youre in college but youre not tryin to get wild, this is your bar. only thing is, they dont have liquor. dont buy the Irish car bombs here (there's no whiskey in it).
Best wings in Tampa. Cajun rub tossed in hot buffalo. Awesome place to grab a Guinness after a lightning game.
Great bar and great wings. Prefer to get there a little early on weekends to beat the crowd
Great bar but could really use an arcade basketball hoop
Music is always awesome and their beer choices are decent. The place overall is usually crowded and you can’t avoid the problems that come with that unfortunately....
Love this place. My sister Barbara recommended this place to me and now I tell all my friends about it. The staff was so friendly, the prices are pretty decent and overall a great experience.
Great Irish dive bar. Beer and wine only. Live music some nights. Great bar food to help fuel your rage on SOHO.
Best Irish Pub for live music and good times.
Traditional, authentic Irish pub. Smaller but much better than nearby macdintons, good food. No hard liquor. Street parking only.
Best Bar in South Tampa. Great selection of beer and the food is to die for. The staff is the best in the business.
If your looking for a fun place to go this is it! Love the bangers and mash and the beer is always cold
Best local pub around. Hands down. Great food, vibes and not a lot of douche baggery. Great place!
I've been going to The Dubliner off and on for quite a few years. They always manage to find great live music and provide a fun atmosphere.
Nice place to have a beer, Chris was awesome.
Fun bar in Soho with a nice outdoor space for live music/performances. I always have a great night when I go.
Was a nice, clean and tasty location. I met up with a friend on a weekday and it was slow which was great to catch up without yelling over noise
great dive bar. hilarious staff that never disappoints. great beers, and even better PIZZA!!!
An okay eating place. Nice view. I didnt like that they added the tip for me in the total of the bill.
Great food...get the pizza..fun bartenders and good live music on weekends!
This is a great bar. They have live music on the patio during the weekend and the bartenders are friendly.
Food is good and drinks are cheap. Never a wait or cover, great place to chill on Howard
This place was quite a good time! Much better than a lot of the other places on the same street
Awesome staff. Love they got live music when I've gone every Saturday!!
Great place! Unique pumpkin ale that I really enjoyed and top-notch service
Great place to catch a football game. Friendly staff, good food, good drinks.
Great beers on tap and bartenders that actually want to serve you beer.
Pizza is fantastic. DUBLINER
Good beer selection. The food is delicious.
Great vibe, live music, a wall of TVs and great mom and pop food. Get the Irish nachos and a blueberry beer!
Top notch Irish Pub with friendly people and good food at great prices.
Could do with a good hosing down, but this pub has a relaxed vibe and decent staff.
Seriously some of the best pizza in Tampa Bay! Great staff and service!
Always a great time, just what you want in a great beer and wine establishment!
prices are decent for the quality. mood here is similar to fresno's scene.
Great buffalo chicken pizza. Best Guinness in Tampa!
Simple no frill place...love that about the place. Right to the point of good beers and easy grub.
It was great. They had a harry potter pub crawl that was cheap and fun
Awesome TY Tommy & Jask.. Can't wait for Josh wink @the kennedy
Great place. What you're looking for in a dive bar.
