This was my first time experiencing the “ Taste of New York Pizzeria “. We came right before closing and the (3) gentlemen that were there were extremely nice. Pizza is hands down the best in the Tampa area!!! Highly recommend you try!!! Less than 10 minutes my pizza was made! They have a new loyal customer. Out of all the pizza places I have been, these one is my favorite. It’s authentic, New York Style. You can taste the difference of the fresh ingredients in the pizza dough. My favorite pizza is the white pizza with spinach. It’s affordable prices & big slices!

Update :10/24/22 The pizzeria changed ownership a bit back and so I wanted to provide an updated review. I generally get a large pepperoni pizza. The pizza dough/bread is exceptionally tasty. I could eat that alone with some olive oil. There is no flop the pizza is sturdy and not greasy. I'm a weekly visitor these days. I'd recommend

NEW OWNERS ⚠️ New Tampa Staple gone 🥺 We’ve been getting . Pizza from this particular location for over 7 years maybe more. My son had his taste of slice from here who’s now turning 6 this year. The pizza 🍕 is amazing. New Owners as of maybe a month ago and it’s funny because the day we decided to order I asked my fiance if we should get blaze pizza and he said no taste of New York is always our spot. I ordered and when I went to pick up I immediately knew something was up there was a long line and two men bouncing back and forth from oven to register. Openly saying they needed help and are under staffed. MY thoughts are if you’re taking over a business why be so under prepared. Looking at our Pie I could IMMEDIATELY tell they changed something because the pepperoni was smaller and had that burnt curl to it rather that cooked into the cheese as usual. It even tasted different. Garlic chicken knots were burnt for the first time ever and not enough garlic and butter seasoning as were used to. The second time we ordered there was WAY TO MUCH CHEESE cheesy pizza is awesome yes but when it’s blobbed on and slides off in chunks not only are you eating product but ruining the ability for the cheese to melt and bake evenly. Food for thought.

The food here has always been quite consistent. My wife and kids can never agree to we end up with different items each time from wings to.knowts and several styles of pizza. Each time we have not been disappointed. The pricing is pretty consistent for most new york/ Italian style pizza joints. But overalls the folks at taste of new York do quite a nice job.

Came through w my woman and got a nice pie for a decent price for Tampa. Sometimes you gotta go outta your way for a good slice, but luckily this spot is conveniently located off 75 in New Tampa. Great job guys!

Very friendly staff but unfortunately the food was mediocre. The pep/sausage pizza we got was so greasy we couldn’t taste anything but grease. The garlic cheese bread was not good at all. White pizza was average.

I really enjoy their pizza and garlic knots! NEW YORK STYLE PIZZA! This place is as close to the real deal as it gets! I found Taste of New York a year ago. For 11 years I tried throughout the Tampa Bay area many of these small pizzajoints. All of them claimed they made authentic 'New York Style' pizza. Not even close. I tell everyone I know about Taste of NY, the staff is nice enough, it's always clean,they tend to be pretty fast getting the orders out, even during lunch and dinner. Only complaint I'd have, and it's really not their fault, until they change location is parking. During lunch & dinner it's a nightmare finding a spot near, because there's several places to eat around in the area. Hope y'all enjoy!!!

Let me just say this is THE BEST pizza I have had in FL. I am a born and raised New Yorker so this definitely hits home. Just the right amount of crust to fluff to cheese to please to meat to eat…I can go on. Go try a slice and be nice.

Excellent crust on the pizza and the pizzas were not overly salty, but maybe could have used a little more flavor. Friendly service and food came out in a timely fashion. The vegetables on the Greek salad were definitely fresh. Prices were quite reasonable for the portions.

I tried this place for the first time the other day. They sell slices of pizza by the slice. I didnt have high expectations of this place, but boy did they prove me wrong. The pizza was cooked fresh and they have a deal where you get 2 large slices and a drink for $5.50. Add a $1 more and get toppings on it. The only issue I had was that the first time I tried them they had meat lovers pizza and the next time I came in, the lady told me that they did not have that selection available. She instead said I could choose a selection of meat to put on top of the cheese pizza. I ordered pepperoni and sausage and instead of putting both toppings on each slice, they instead put one of each on each slice. That was a little strange. But still a good deal.

I lived in NY for many years. This pizza is certainly spot on for a "NY Slice." I could tell from the smell it made in the car before I even got it home. Pizza wasn't super greasy either.

Very relaxed atmosphere. Business seems slow around 1:00, so if you're looking for fast service this is a sure win. I ordered two slices - a margherita and a pepperoni - and they were amazing. The pepperoni had the perfect amount of sauce for my picky son. The crust was crisp and refreshing with a nostalgic New York flavor. I definitely recommend this place.

I live 30 minutes from this restaurant but I manage to go every chance I get and take some food out to take home. They have the best pizza in the whole country. In addition to the regular pizza we always get there white pizza with sauteed spinach.

This place has some of the best pizza I've had in Tampa. On top of that, their staff is so nice and remembers faces when you're a repeat customer. Also, after Irma came through, they were one of the only places open and they only planned on being open for a couple of hours but when the line stayed out the door, they were happy to keep serving people who were tired of eating their canned food and dry goods at home. So grateful for them!

I was recommended this restaurant and the review was right on. The pizza is amazing! The crust is just the way I like it and the quality of the toppings is amazing. It's a small little place so it's best to take it home but you can eat in or at a little spot outside. It stays busy and I totally understand why. I heard people ordering a variety of dishes and I'd love to return and try it all.

Their pizza slices are pretty good but their garlic knots are off the chain!!! I absolutely love their knots, but you may need a bottle of mouthwash afterwards. They have a good daily deal of 2 slices and a drink for $5. The staff is overall friendly, but it does depend on who is at the register.

My boyfriend, Danny, and I frequently get pizza from Taste of New York. I have always loved pizza, but Taste of New York has ruined me. Now, anytime I get pizza from anywhere else, I am completely disappointed. Taste of New York is the BEST pizza ever!!! The owner and the staff is always friendly. If you have not already tried their pizza, I encourage you to do so. Delicious. I rate them a 7 out of 5 stars. Honest and from my heart.

Total fat kid at heart here and pizza connoisseur. I've had pizza all over the world and this place, by far, is the absolute best. Good prices, PHENOMENAL food and great portions. As a former New Yorker, I take pizzas personally. Finally found a pizza restaurant in New Tampa or Tampa in general that is worthy of calling it "Taste of New York" because it tastes like a real NY pizza. It is thin not overloaded with cheese and perfectly cooked. Don't let the small size of this simple restaurant fool you because the pizzas taste authentic and the garlic knots are to die for.

Delicious white spinach pizza with ricotta, excellent hand-tossed New York style cheese pizza! Very good HOT buffalo chicken wings. The garlic rolls/knots are awesome. And the zeppoles are as good as those at the San Gennaro Festival in Little Italy, NY. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area and missing a taste of NY pizza

This is the place to eat pizza.... Hands down the best Pizza around. The quality of their ingredients is Top-Notch and very noticeable with just their simple and basic “Cheese-Pizza pie”!!! But if you want your socks knocked off... try their “White-Pizza” with spinach... or my favorite “Margarita-Pizza”. Truly, NY-Style!! The owner, Sammy, is a pro, very nice and treats his customers like family! Maggie, Sammys’ daughter, is great and always greets you with a warm smile as she takes your order (and she keeps Sammy jumping!!!!) Born and raised in NYC, I've search and tried many pizza's in Florida over the past 16 years. The "worst" pizza in NY, if there even is such a thing, is better than any pizza in Tampa. In 2005, when I lived in Spring Hill, Pizza Villa on Cortez Blvd (50) was the best. Now, in NewTampa, I came across Taste of New York about 4 years ago... and I could tell, just by looking at it, that I was in for a treat! It's the best I've had in Tampa. It's a shame they stopped delivering about a year ago, cause great as it is, I'm lazy and want the food to come to me!

As a pizza snob from New Jersey, this is my go-to pizzeria. I normally get a half-cheese, half-pepproni and have never had any issues. Staff is friendly. Very underrated food: wings. They are pretty good! And no, they don't deliver. They haven't delivered for more than a year now, and their website doesn't say anything about delivery: it literally only says "Dine In - Carry Out"
