Great view of downtown and the water. The best day to come is on Tuesdays. It's the only day they do a special .....$5 selected cocktails and $3 small tacos. Excellent! ... Otherwise, everything is pricey. The bartenders know their craft and are very accommodating to different tastes. Place gets very crowded at night, so service can get slow then.

Stop by there looking for a place with happy hour. Unfortunately, they do not offer a happy hour. Felt too bad to leave, so we decided to stick around and have some beers and an app. The bar was busy, but luckily we were able to find a spot! They have a limited draft menu, most of the beer is bottled or canned. The grilled oysters were good and at a reasonable price. Service was okay. Nothing memorable but nothing bad. Not sure if I would go back there or not.

Fun little outdoor bar with fantastic views of the Hillsborough River, especially at sunset. The crafted cocktails are so fresh but know it's on the pricey side for $10+ a drink if it's not in a can. That is pretty normal for the area and you can take it with you on the River Walk if you want. I ordered red sangria, which was not on the menu and it was pretty amazing!

Spectacular lil place to enjoy a delicious cocktail or yummy food right at the river. We would recommend the burgers with pineapple! Service was spot on. Logan was our server and was very attentive to our requests, even had water bowls for our 4 legged friends with fresh cold water. We highly recommended and will be back to enjoy it all again!

I came here with my wife for Taco Tuesday, we had one of every kind of taco and a drink and still left under $30. The view is amazing, the food is amazing, the service was also amazing. Highly recommend.

This is my favorite taco Tuesday spot in the Heights. $5 margs and $3 tacos all day. The views can't be beat. I love sitting at the outdoor bar, listening to the music & watching the boats go by. Great place to watch a sunset too.

It was such a beautiful day we just had to go out, and outdoor places make us feel safer so this was a great choice. We've been here a couple of times before and we haven't had a bad experience. Due to the pandemic they don't have table service, they did before, but you can order your drinks and snacks at the bar. There was a bit of a wait when we ordered, but it was just so nice out that it wasn't a big deal. We ordered a few drinks and food. Now, let me tell you about the food! We ordered the grilled oysters (With cheddar, jalapeno, very tasty! $14 for six. They have them raw as well), tentacle tots (Fried calamari and tater tots with a creamy sauce and peppers), and fresh grouper tacos. Everything was excellent, but my favorite were definitely the tentacle tots, they are $14 and totally worth it! They also had the 3 Daughters Key Lime Pie cider and that is very tasty! Overall we spent, with the food and four drinks, around $75. Please do visit and get the oysters and tentacle tots!

Nice place to have a drink and people/boat watch. Can’t speak for the menu as we only had drinks, but definitely a cool outdoor atmosphere with a great view. There’s no indoor seating; it’s all outside either at the bar or at tables with umbrellas. Depending on the time of day, the tables may have waitress service but we were there on a Saturday afternoon and it was walk-up service only.

Nice stop on the water taxi 16 on Riverwalk. They do not skimp on the alcohol in the drinks. Very friendly staff. Did not order food at this trip, but plenty of folks around us did and all looked appetizing.

A “stones throw” away from armature works, awesome seafood selection w/ a good variety of other food options, full bar but go for their HUGE selection of whiskey and gin which produced quality cocktails w/ fresh ingredients, speedy service, great bartenders that interacted with you to make you feel welcomed. Great view of the sunset. Must visit!

This place is great. I went ahead and read all the bad reviews before posting to make sure I wasn't missing something, but it seems like people are upset that they don't "over pour" drinks and that they are pricy. It's armature works and you're literally on the water for beautiful sunset views- both of the critiques are unfounded. If you want to pay less for more drink don't go somewhere this nice. Drinks were great, prices were to be expected (not quite Disney level, but definitely a waterfront upgrade- just look at the menu before you order). Service was stellar, and the food was super fresh and tasty (seasoned but not overly). The food is meant to compliment the drinks, and it's not a full menu, so if you're looking for a nice meal first and foremost it might not be for you. The sauce on the tots was on point. The Debutante cocktail was a perfect Hendricks concoction. Sangria was fruity bliss. Safety note: I went with a friend during reopening phase 1 after COVID-19 and they enforced social distancing during the wait time, had their servers wearing masks, gloves, and all tables were spaced out. The only bummer was the wait. I'd definitely recommend an open air place like this for a safe night out.

Had the most amazing daiquiri here! Dusty was the best bartender- his energy kept the night going and his daiquiris too! Request them! The best drink I ever had and I don't usually like daiquiris. Not to mention, Dusty kept the conversarion going and brought a smile to both of our faces! Best experience ever!

Come on guys now you bring wait ti be seated. Leave it like that nice and friendly place. Our favorite place because of nice view good drinks and food after walking around sit relax enjoy drinks. On Saturday we had some drinks and felt like small cup. I had another drink from other side of bar had regular drinks cup. Thats you cheating because we felt it first time that something wrong with drink.

Excellent laid back bar in a great location. We enjoyed sitting at the bar chatting with the friendly bar tenders who enjoy every minute of their profession. Catching the sunset was a plus. The selection is vast when it comes to Gin, Whiskey & more. Oysters cooked and raw & beautifully crafted drinks make this a place to visit more than once.

Food and environment is good but it’s a little pricey. You can get just as filling of a meal from Big Rays Fish Camp with bigger shrimp for less and it includes a side. Perhaps inflation is worse in armature works than other areas.

Ordered me a 15$ bacon cheeseburger... It was quite scrumptious!! Which honestly is the only reason I give this place 3 stars. But sadly fries didn't come with it you have to order them separately and they are just over 5$.. 😑 if I mention how much the drinks were I'd have to go back and change it to 2 stars. Waaaayyy over priced!! However on a more positive note it's location right on the water makes Stones Throw a perfect setting for a date night!

We were not planning a visit but was pleasantly surprised. Lobster roll and shrimp was very good and the black raspberry lemonade with vodka was delicious. Nice reggae music, nice view. Will come again.

Highly recommend Stones Throw! Went on a Sunday at 11am. We stayed until 3pm just watching the boats up and down the river. Food and drinks were great. They had a singer around 2pm and he was nice to listen to.

I am a Downtown local and this has been my spot for a while. Great place to grab drinks with friends, family, or just by yourself. The staff are friendly and engaging. The location offers nice views of the Hillsborough River and Tampa skyline. However, it is located at a busy spot of the Tampa Riverwalk- in between Ulele and Armature Works. Expect there to be crowds in the evening and on the weekends. Service might not be as quick. Remain patient and tip well.

Enjoying a sailor jerry and coke. Eating a delicious chicken sandwich grilled with fries (very tasty). On a Wednesday night great breeze most places are closed. Definitely a hidden gem. Great location with friendly bartenders. Thanks Laura our bartender.

Had an amazing experience Saturday afternoon! Was our first time in Tampa. We met up with friends who recommended getting drinks on the water at Stones Throw.
