It was my first time in. The people were so patient with me. I called in my order, but when I got there everything on the wall looked good, so I had questions. I ended up sticking with only the noodles with veggies that I ordered. Let me tell you. I was looking sideways at first because they were dry and I was expecting a sauce of some sort, but HUNNNNY, I took a bite and couldn't get out of the car. It was so flavorful that I just couldn't stop. I managed to save my mom a few fork-fulls, and she loved it just as much as me. I will definitely be back to try more items as I was highly impressed. Not just with the food, but the cleanliness of the restaurant in the eating area and behind the counter. Happy eating everyone!

1st visit. Clean, menu not complicated, staff was polite and patient in answering my questions, my order was cooked when placed and ready in timely manner, the veggie samosa is crispy flaky & packed with flavor & just a slight amount of heat, I also ordered a noodle dish with veggies and chicken absolutely packed with right amount of spices and full of flavor generous portions and enough for two days 😋

Currently our favorite Indian restaurant in Tampa. Amazing food. Good quantity. Biryani, chili gobi, samosa chaat, puff are some of the items we tried so far and they were pretty good. They have disposable spoons, plates, glasses and to-go boxes kept at one corner and it’s self service. Food is also served in disposables. We like that they don’t have restricted hours and we can grab food any time of the day. Hope they start making Indo-Chinese soon as they were out every time we have been there even though it’s on their menu. Update: We visited today and they had Indo Chinese. We ordered Schezwan fried rice and gobi manchurian. Both the dishes were phenomenal. Taste was similar to how we get in India. I definitely recommend trying Indo-Chinese along with other dishes. They also have Groupon deal going on. Do check it out.

Birthday Cake I ordered customized 1st birthday cake(pineapple flavor) for my son with the jungle theme. It was prepared exactly the same which I ordered and was so delicious and yummy. Everyone liked a lot. I recommend this for sure.

Absolutely wonderful!! It's fast become one of my favourite places, the food is fantastic! My favourite right now is the boneless chicken biryani, the rice is soft fluffy and the aromatic, the sauce is awesome, I have had the tandoori pompano and that was great too, never had a so so meal let alone bad one here, you won't be disappointed. Nice casual dining, love it!!

It was a little bit pricey but the food was great! There's a larger variety of options with a great digital menu where you can see pictures of every item. The restaurant was pretty clean and the dining area was set up very nicely.

Almost gave it a 5 star except fpr the curry with the lunch combo. The quantity of oil in it and the pieces of chicken made it really hard to reach 5 star. Apart from that the biriyani, dry chilli chicken, rasmalai, and chana masala really good. The roti was exceptional as well. I will swing by here in future to try out and see if it reaches the 5 star next time around.

I have been eating at P&C since about 4 years regularly, and it’s one of the best Indian food restaurants in Tampa. I love their Kheema biryani, fish biryani and samosa Chaat. The Veg and chicken puff is a MUST try. Recently heard they started weekend buffet, and it was absolutely a good variety for the price.

This was the first Indian food we bought since moving to town. It was pretty good. We got take out, and the man behind the counter was very friendly when I went to pick up my order. We got egg biryani, paneer biryani, samosa chaat, and those puffy things you stuff with potatoes and stuff. It was all good.

The Vijayawada Chicken Biryani at this place is my most recommended item on the menu. Other than that, this restaurant is probably one of the only few restaurants in Tampa that has authentic Indian food. Mutton Haleem during Ramzan is a must try.

We love this restaurant. It is one of our daughters' favorite restaurants! Their biriyani is just fabulous! They are one of the few restaurants that serve authentic South Indian food. We also cater from them and they are awesome - reasonable and they always give large portions! A must visit if you want to taste how food in Andhra and Telangana tastes like!

Taste...It's good but generic. Quantity...It's fair but not quite enough for the price. Service....The cashier was just like one u find at the Walking Dead.(Useless) If it wasn't because the owner/manager stepped in then i would have sit there like an idiot waiting for my order.

Update - Food tasted even better this time. The food is soo satisfying. It tasted great. We ordered biriyani, tandoori, naans and curry. Everything tasted its best. It’s excellent both in terms of quality as well quantity. The way they treat their customers is also good . Always wearing a warm and welcoming smile. overall experience was great. Must try.

Unlike other restaurants who give more oily spicy gravy, PNC’s Hyderabad goat curry was ultimate with perfect textured goat pieces. We had the chicken tikka, goat biryani, cheese naan (special request), daal, and lamb kebabs. Everything was amazing! I’ll definitely always come here for Indian food. Best in town! And the dessert with their chai masala afterwards. Perfect. And the hospitality is super.

Some items are good while others not during our visit couple of years back. During our recent visit in Sep 2021, we ordered samosa chat n veg biryani, and both tasted good. We were looking for Chinese but was not available during our last 2 visits though advertised.

Nice and fun atmosphere to eat in. Only reason I gave four star because they didn’t have goat meat the day I went in and it was one of the reason I went there but I was not disappointed by other food I ordered. Food came pretty soon. Some of the Indian restaurant’s spice level very high even though you order medium or high spicy food but here be careful. Please let the cashier know what level of spice you want in your food. Staff were very nice and try their best to explain the dish. Food was very good. We ordered Apollo fish and chicken biryani. I think two people can easily eat chicken biryani. They have good portion of pastries selection!

First I will say that I do not normally write reviews unless the service is really great or really bad as well as food being really great or bad. In this case the food is good but service was not to great. This is my second time coming here and the first time I came I called ahead of time mind you and asked if they have mango lassi since I was craving it and could not find it. They said “yes we have mango lassi” so I drove down here ~ 10 minutes not horrible but get here to order mango lassi and the man behind the counter sates “we do not have mango lassi right now”. I told them how I just called and asked if they have it and they said “yes”. The guy then told me it was “to much work” to make the mango lassi right now. So I left a bit upset. 6 months later I am back and here for their 4 foot dosa they have advertised on their wall that is on a TV repeating 5 or so ads. I asked for the 4 foot dosa with my 2 friends and was laughed at by the lady and she said we can do 2 foot dosa for you… I pointed to the TV and showed her what i wanted and she chuckled and said we have to many orders right now we cannot make that for you. This was really annoying and we ended up getting two 2 foot dosa which somehow made sense? On top of that their price on a few items on their wall are wrong and we were charged 2$ more for certain food (not going to break your wallet but its the moral) and was told their wall was not updated… so we still got our food and ate. Food was good not great not bad. Would not come here again though due to the repeated poor service.

When you're in the mood for chaat it makes sense to order it from a place with chaat in its name. They have an excellent selection of chaat and other types of snack foods. Also have normal Indian entrees and even Indian pizza. Quick and reliable.

For dinner we decided to try Chicken Dum Biryani and Samosa from Pastries N Chaat. We ordered by calling them and they said that our order will be ready in 15-20 minutes. We got our order in required time. Samosa ordered was good but Chicken Dum biryani of pastries n Chaat is one of the best biryani's. They are amazing and delicious. The chicken was cooked pretty well. Do try their Vijaywada Chicken Biryani.

My family and I dropped by this Restaurant on a fine Saturday evening. Not only the food we ordered was delicious but their service was commendable. There’s some sort of construction work going on in there, given that their service wasn’t at all affected. What I like the Most about being here is that all the disposables/To-go carry Bags are kept at our reach which can be accessed easily meaning we don’t have to bug someone to provide us blah blah stuff in blah blah number. Everything is easily accessible and well maintained.

What a find today. Fast food kinda Indian restaurant. Loved there interior, fast service and ultra tasty food. We tried Veg Puff. It was served with Fried Indian green Chili. Fresh and hot. They have small plates. Only 1 option for Veg people. Paneer Tikka Masala. It will come with one Partha, Flavored rice, Raita and onions. Found a tangy, spicy paneer curry after a long time. Also tried Paneer 65. It was also not regular Chinese chili paneer type. Different red hot Masalas. Overall real authentic taste. A must visit if you are happen to be around South Florida University, Northern Tampa area. The food I got was delicious (black forest cake(?), Vegetable puff, and egg puff), but there were only two options of pastries available when I went. The puffs had a really soft and flaky exterior and flavorful filling, and the cake was moist with the perfect ratio of frosting and cake.

Best Pav bhaji I have had outside of India!!! Taste was really authentic. I have eaten in many Indian restaurants and this is one of the best I have tried. The service was very friendly and efficient, Food arrived piping hot and in good time. The menu contains a good number of house specialties which are a cut above the normal menu offerings. I tried one of these and it was delicious. Also we loved the sweet over there really delicious. Keep your good service all the best.

“Pastries N Chaat” had always been our favourite hang out place for delicious chaats and mouth watering pastries. So we decided to celebrate our son’s 1st birthday. And we are happy that we made the best decision to choose them. To start with the cake, we ordered a 2 tier customised cake and we were super happy when the baker had replicated the same with so much craftsmanship and perfection she had baked with love and the cake was a masterpiece. Special kudos to the baker. The cake was so moist, yummy and tempting and everyone enjoyed having each bite of it. Coming to the lunch buffet we had ordered vegetarian dishes and all the dishes were outstanding. Starters and bread were served hot and refilled upon request. All the dishes were first class even the kids enjoyed the Indian food. Desserts were top notch !! Last but not the least, the party hall was neatly arranged and well maintained with the new paint and it was overall a pleasant and a memorable experience. Special thanks to Mr. Prasad for giving us the contact for the decorations and his team for pulling off our son’s birthday celebration and making it a grand event. Highly recommend this place and their service and worth the price!!

Everything we ordered was delicious. The paneer wraps are pretty large portions. The pav bhaji was a hit. Samosa chaat included two samosas and Chole. The paneer pizza is a good medium size. Overall, very flavorful and delicious. Something to note; dosa’s are only served on weekends.

I'm always excited to try to Indian type restaurants. So coming here and seeing the various items on the menu has me excited. The list of foods have a large variety of different style dishes. From a Lunch menu, indian-style fast food, appetizers, and a large assortment of pastries/desserts. I highly recommend taking a chance with any of the appetizers or fast food items. The lunch menu is a safe choice but I'm not there to try something I'm already all too familiar with. Overall, this place is fantastic and a nice mix up of Indian style cuisine. A welcomed place next to all the other generic food places on Fowler near USF.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! This food was absolutely AMAZING! As someone who grew up with authentic Mexican food made from love, this gave me that same dance-in-your kitchen with loved one’s feeling. I felt it all the way in my soul. My friends know me to be an extremely underwhelming food critic most of the time but this was moving. Topping it off with the chai and some honey I was ready for a nap and a rainy day in the house. Takeout container for biriyani is reusable and also has a great portion. Very veg friendly. I highly recommend especially if you have a GrubHub coupon.

The name is misleading. May be they would have started with only Cakes and snacks. But they now make Biriyani, pizza, Naan, Veg and Non Veg curry.. so it's a full fledged Indian Restaurant. Channa samosa is good but samosa Chaat is too dry to eat.. panneer pizza is OK but Naan is not that soft. Mixed Veg curry is not up to mark.. Birthday cakes are good. Typical Indian style cakes in different flavors. The one with Mango and pineapple are good...

Called the restaurant couple of days prior to ordering a customized cake. The person(Prasad) who helped with the phone order was friendly and ensured a hassle-free experience. Honestly, I was very nervous about the cake, but it turned out to be a masterpiece. Needless to mention the attention to detail on the cake. Meticulously crafted to perfection. The cake was delicious, beautiful, elegant, and classy. Ordered this cake as a surprise for my cousin, she loved the cake, we loved the cake and everyone loved the cake. Cheers to the management.

Every time we would plan on going to Tampa (we live in Ellenton) to buy Indian Groceries from Patel Brothers on Fowler I would be so excited to eat at Pastries right after. It was just like when I was a kid, go with mom to the market and eat a snack right after that. But in recent months Pastries has really starting to disappoint. Not sure what’s going on!! A new chef or cook. Don’t know what’s going on. Don’t get me wrong, pastries was one of our favs in Tampa. It takes a lot for me to like an Indian food restaurant. But pastries really did win us over when we first ate here almost 2 years ago. We always use to recommend our non-Indian friends to go eat at PnC to get a true authentic Indian food experience. But it’s sad to say that it’s not the same lately. Ok. Now the food: Try their chicken and veg puffs. They are still quite good. Use to be nice and moist inside, but lately they are coming out dry. But still not bad. Ohh, my fav: Keema Pizza!!! Really not sure what’s going on with this one. I use to love it. But lately the keema (ground goat cooked like taco ground beef) does not taste the same. Keema needs to be with that kick, that spice that greasy taste (which it was). It’s turning more towards North Indian style which is not what it supposed to be. The pizza base was awful. I mean I get it, if you don’t want to bake your own pizza base, there are some really nice ready bases on the market. That base was awful. Mango Lassi, the Cake Pastries and all that it’s all still fine. But they are all secondary to the actually main course items on the menu. They have a good samosa though. Guys you really need to get it together. This is our only favorite (still*) Indian restaurant. I hope you guys really get it back to how it was. Edit (After Owner Response): Try keeping a small bowl of water inside the puff warmer, that might help keep them moist. Try it out during non- business hours to see if the trick works.

We had excellent food at Pastries and Chat, it was authentic and delicious. The ambience was cool and clean, staff was cordial and treated like family. Our relatives who came from Northeast were amazed with Mr Prasad and his excellent crew. Kids were so happy, now it became our favorite place

We catered here for our Housewarming party recently, all our guests still talk about how good food is! You can customize as you want many great food options, and the price is right! We worked with Prasad who is also the chef here so friendly and professional. They have delivery option which was helpful to us as we were all busy, delivered right on time. Friend of mine put me onto their butter chicken with roti and I am obsessed! So glad she did or I would have honestly probably never stopped at this hidden gem. Delicious food, nice and helpful staff, and very clean inside. Portions and prices aren't bad either so that's always a plus!!! Yum!!

This is a nice little quasi-fast-food chain that has made its way to Tampa. I found the online ordering process to be fairly straight-forward and easy to use. I arrived for curbside pickup, but the man who answered the phone seemed a bit confused and spoke so softly that his words were unintelligible. No matter, I went it to get my food. I purposely showed up 10 minutes late as I had read other reviews saying their food was not ready on time. The woman behind the counter was friendly and packed all the food up and tied the bags tightly. I could not see what all she was putting in the bag, so I had to take her word for it. Unfortunately, when I got home, I saw that one item of my $60 or so order was missing. Not the biggest concern, but when they tie the bags up so you cannot check the order without tearing it apart, you hope that everything is there. I called the store to ask for a credit for the one item (did not want to drive another 20 minutes for chocolate cake), and was told the manager would contact me to discuss. I have not heard back yet as of this writing. The food was pretty good. I especially liked the Paapdi Chaat which I had never had before. Plain cheese pizza (on the small side for $9) for the kids and the Chicken Tikka Masala combo were of good quality. I had ordered mild spice Chicken Tikka, and boy was it spicy! My nose was watering and my lips were burning, and so I managed to get through about half of it. Certainly an honest mistake. In the end, I won't fret over the lost desert, although my kids were all quite distressed. There are many Indian restaurants to choose from in the Tampa area, so I have had the opportunity to taste perfection. Although Pastries N Chaat was good, I cannot say it was my favorite. Perhaps with less spice and the order fulfilled correctly, I could put it in the top 5. I would consider giving it another chance (making sure to tear the bag apart next time) if I am in the area. It's the most authentic indian restaurant. ive sampled many restaurants in tampa and outside tampa, and this is so far the best tasting indian restaurant. the cakes and food were just delicious but i do feel the restaurant needs to be more consistent with their in store menu. I did not order online, i went into check them out. alot of whats on the menu in the restaurant was not available at that moment. i had to settle with something they had instead of what i wanted from the menu.

The purpose of me dining in was to eat it fresh. Restaurant was not busy. Sent food back for 2 meals. I’ve never been to a restaurant with Paper plates and spoons. Self service. If I come back. Great food, the best in a long time . We had the chicken biriyani, wonderful flavor with the spices. We meant the chef and he explained the restaurant concept and opening more locations and adding the fine dining experience next door. The pleasing atmosphere and cleanliness was good to see and top priority I hope it continues. The chef treated us to a piece of his mango cake it was so moist ,not overly sweet and tasty totally took me by surprise. Love this place, the food is absolutely delicious. Best chicken biryani I have had in Tampa so far. Restaurant is clean and modern. We ordered the chicken dum biryani, chicken 65, and butter chicken combo. Food was fresh, served hot and delicious. The staffs are patient especially when you need to know what things are. One of the most important things is consistency and they have it. We went multiple timesdine in and also take out and the food was just as delicious as as the first time. One thing with some other places is that you have to catch them on a good day otherwise it's like eating reheated food, not with these guys. I would absolutely recommend them, can't wait to try other dishes.

Pretty good choices of both vegetarian and meat based food are available. Water/cutlery etc are self service and it helps keep their costs down. Although the taste of food nor the Chaat items aren't 100% authentic, this restaurant satisfies the Indian food when you crave for it. Overall I'd give 8/10. If they could improve the taste of the food, it will be much better.

This place has amazing food. I had been eating here since 2017. Their vijayawada chicken dum biryani is best in this area!!! I am from hyderabad and i am a big fan of biryani. I usually dont get convinced with the taste of biryani easily but this place knocks it out of the park all the time. Good job pastries and chaat. Keep up the quality of your food.

We got take-out here and enjoyed it a lot. My wife got the butter chicken and I had the lamb korma. We both found the spice level to be just right, it was hot but not firey but I'm sure they can dial it up/down. My only complaint would be that the lamb wasn't boneless which for authentic Indian isn't surprising.

Edit: looks like there is a change in the management, they are taking forever to complete their Togo orders, this happened three times ok the past month or so.i had to literally wait for an 80 minutes after placing the order to get the food.

This was easily one of the best restaurant experiences I've had. We were seated in the new sit-down serviced dining area, and the owner was super accommodating throughout the whole experience. He gave us several suggestions as we browsed the menu, and the food ended up being crazy good (especially the chili gobi).

Ordered layered cake for friends baby shower and they did exactly as shown in picture and the flavors are also so good and juicy. Very reasonable cake prices compared to other wedding cake locations. Food is good too but pastries are usually awesome.

I had mixed experience for my weekend visit to this restaurant. I ordered biryani and two side platters along with that. Veg platter was good but the non veg platter was not fresh made for sure. Even the biryani was microwaved to the order. The customer service needs to improve a lot. When I visit any Indian restaurant and paying more than other restaurants, I won’t prefer to carry the plates to trash. Hope you will look into this

This place is a bit pricey. I didn’t like the chili powder sprinkled on top of the pani puri, as usually I haven’t had it in this manner from other places I’ve gone to. I wish there were a few more pani puris to justify the price. The vada pav was alright, but it was a bit too spicy as well. The mango lassi was good, but I feel it was too small for the price. Overall, a good place and my sister said she’s previously enjoyed the pastries from this place. There is a adequate seating and good customer service.

Delicious food and friendly staff. I ordered Pav bhaji and mango lassi. Pav bhaji was Indian spicy and delicious. The pavs were soft and a good amount of ghee had been used to roast them. The mango lassi was different from other mango lassis I have tasted in that I could taste the actual yogurt, was not too sweet, and had a delicious hint of cardamom. The only drawback is that we have to fetch the cutlery ourselves but otherwise a good experience.

I had the Vijawada chicken briyani which the waiter suggested was their popular dish. It consists of chicken briyani, and comes with chicken 65 appetizer on top. It was very similar to how my mom makes briyani. Being out of town and not able to cook in a hotel I was craving Desi food and this hit the spot. It was not overly spicy (on a Desi scale). I ordered mine to go, and it was a good size portion. They also included some shorba (gravy) and yougrt.

Awesome food. Authentic Indian taste. The pastries are mouth watering and would dissolve in your mouth before you can eat. Had a great experience. They should improve on the quality of tea though which is a major ingredient of any evening snack time. Also, it will be great if they can add Chowmein as well as Aloo Tikki in menu. These are again some of the common street food items in India. Rest, keep it up.

Because it’s fast food I was expecting the food to be of less quality in both taste and presentation. This was NOT the case when I ordered my Vada Paav. It was soooo delicious and spiced to perfection! (I like mine spicy but not too spicy), the presentation was very neat and appealing. I know nothing of Indian Street Food. But after visiting Pastries and Chaat I am wishing I had become familiar long ago. The Vijaywada Biriyani was delicious and perfectly spicy! I have been here twice now just before closing and both times the staff has been incredibly friendly and helpful when I ordered without knowledge of Indian food. They were sure to double check on us to make sure we were pleased. I have also noticed that the owners pay close attention to their reviews in order to continually perfect their customer's experience. And it occurred to me...the thing that ultimately convinces me this restaurant is a rising star in the Tampa community is the collection of Google reviews. More specifically, most of the reviews are stellar. And a great deal of those stellar reviews are from Google Local Guides. However, NONE of the poor reviews are from Google Local Guides which leads me to believe that Pastries and Chaat has trounced their competition who, short of posting fake reviews, are unsure of how to properly respond to the passion and commitment of PNC. Thank you PNC for a unique experience that I might have never had unless I were to fly to India myself. I will definitely be back!

Pastries and snacks are good - biryani family pack is not worth the money and the price is too high for the product you get. And biryani is not good . This place has something new to offer from the traditional fine dining restaurants. A fast casual restaurant with some Indian street food options. The only elaborate dish on the menu was Biryani( something no Indian restaurant can avoid due to its immense popularity). Only thing I would have wished is that it would have been a restaurant with much wider appeal rather than a restaurant which appeals to Indians only. Coming to the food, the dahi batata chaat was top notch, the mutton biryani was pretty good, was disappointed with the Vijaywada biryani, the sev puri was ok & I heard the pav bhaji was disappointing(I didn't try this. A friend of mine did). Now coming to the highlight of this place which is their filter coffee. Now for those of you who are not familiar with filter coffee, it is an Indian equivalent of cafe con leche found at cuban places. Its hard to find at Indian restaurants in Tampa. If you visit please try the coffee.

Quite a fun place BUT, they're not always consistent with the taste of their biryanis and attentiveness to the customer. So we're a little wary of eating biriyani here. The Chaat on the other hand can be quite interesting. Our favorite is the samosa chaat.

This is a nice place but not best. It is not like a big restaurant. And if you an Indian, you will like this place a lot, I hope. However, it may not be true for non-indian. The reason is that the food is too spicy. We went there in a group of five, containing three Indians. All three were not able to finish their food. The food is cheap. Ten dollars are good to purchase a single thing. In day time, you may get a THALLI that contains 3 or 4 vegetables with rice. Also you can get aalu tikki but it does not sound Indian aalu tikki. Same is true for samosha. You may also get pani puri with hot and spicy pani.

He was so kind to all of our guests and always kept a smile. I've now been to the restaurant 3 times and I am always impressed. I ordered the non-veg Thali for lunch today. *customer service: 5 stars (Staff was pleasant and checked if I was pleased) *Decor: 3.5 stars (it looks like they were in a hurry to open the place. the management needs to put in some effort in cleaning and organizing this beautiful spot) Food: 3.5 stars (The appetizer server with the Thali was good but a little too spicy. the chicken curry and the daal was bland I will give them another shot to taste the chaats they have to offer. overall I give them a 4 star rating.
