Excellent food. Great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Menu is extensive and particularly high standard. This is my absolute favorite Italian restaurant. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere exceptional to eat.

Probably some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. I really enjoyed eating here, and everything was delicious. They serve a variety of delicious dishes, but they also can make pretty much any traditional Italian dish if you ask for it. I went with a group of friends and we all had a good time. The food and drinks were well-priced. My only complaint is that they don’t split tickets, so I paid for everyone and had them pay me back for what they got.

Hands down one of my favorite places to visit when I am in Tampa. The service is beyond exceptional, the staff and owner make you feel like part of the family. They truelly care about your service and your food. The owner visits every table and has welcomed us so much we get that VIP feeling everything. Now let's talk about the amazing food that goes with that service. The menu is amazing and has something for everyone that will make you want to come back, but my favorite is how they will make WHATEVER YOU WANT! I order off menu pretty much every time now and mix up all the different things the offer to get to try all the amazing flavors. Last trip we got a sampler appetizer with Gnocchi, sacchettinis, and their home made meatballs, every bite is better than the last. For the entrée we did salmon on special, and off menu filet medallions with truffle butter and the sacchettini stuffed with pears....Amazing! Seriously my favorite thing from them. Dessert was cappuccino and the tiramisu. If you are near by get over there for an intimate dinner and if your further away, take a helicopter and bring your friends! It's worth it!

Quite the nice little establishment.. Every table was taken at 7PM on a Saturday, and there were to-go orders being picked up every couple of minutes. Definitely felt underdressed in shorts and a t-shirt (what was I thinking in this part of town). Most of the staff was really friendly. Our server was a delight, although I think four or five different people visited our table throughout the night. The food here is as good as it gets. Lasagna, gnocchi, and meatballs, oh my! An amaretto cake to top it off (an incredible delight). There was some sort of pest control device plugged in by my feet, but it did not diminish the greatness of my meal.

Wow. We have had intentions of trying this restaurant for months- and finally, we made it in! Camila and Adolfo were the most amazing, attentive servers!!!! Each and every detail created the most incredible experience. My husband and I were dining together, and it was the most ideal date atmosphere imaginable. The music, having one entree arrive at a time, sharing our plates and never feeling rushed. We were offered custom plates, as our servers let's us know that the chefs can create dishes that were not on the menu. The menu selections were incredible, as were the list of specials. Each and every dish we ordered was absolutely flawless. This was truly one of the best meals out we have ever experienced! The Caprese Salad, the bread, the meatballs, the saccotini- OMGGGG and pappardelle pasta with steak....all left us speechless. I highly recommend trying several things and sharing- it's an amazing experience! Thank you for the perfect meal and an amazing date!

Absolutely delicious Italian food. Each bite I could taste the wonderfully homemade yet sophisticated flavors. The dishes were creamy but did not feel heavy, like a lot of Americanized Italian food. The lasagna felt so soft like I was cutting through cake. The linguini with crab and lobster meat was also absolutely delicious. Service was very pleasant, and I look forward to coming back to try more yummy dishes.

The food is tough to beat when it comes to taste, quality, portions, and price. The experience is tough to beat when it comes to the atmosphere, knowledge and professionalism of the servers. From the sever to the chef, they ensure you are being taken care of and thank you for dining at their restaurant. We had the mushroom bruschetta, meatballs, pear sachietti and the squid ink calamari and clam dish. All were everything you could ask for, taste and quality were superb. Highly recommend and there’s multiple dishes that sounded great, so more than one trip is likely.

This place just teleported us back to Cambridge Massachusetts where there were hole in the wall BYOB restaurants that looked just like this. I think after 20 something years of living in Tampa, we may have finally found an authentic authentic Italian restaurant.

Great food, wonderful people, a small but elegant atmosphere. I am from New York originally and this is hands down the BEST ITALIAN food I’ve had in Florida! Must try! First come first serve, as they do not take reservations it can get busy on the weekends. I recommend going one hour before you’d like to eat.

Very quaint restaurant with nice decor. Nothing fancy but very homey. Small dining area which made it feel very comfortable. Impressive variety on the menu. What is impressive is they let you know that if there is something you don't see on the menu to let them know and they will make it for you. I had the gnocchi and they were perfect. Soft and cheesy with a perfect sauce. My friend got the linguini with classic. It was beautifully plated and had great flavor. Had a good taste of the sea and perfectly cooked pasta. I will definitely return and recommend to others.

My girlfriend and I loved our dinner. We had the caprese salad for our appetizer. It was light and delicious. For our entrees we had the lobster ravioli and the linguini with crab and lobster. Both were superb! Definitely recommend coming here if you like Italian food. The place is a bit small so you might have to wait for a table.

I have never been to Italy yet, after visiting here I can tell a small lie and say I had. It is one small dining area (maybe 30 guests max) and so waiting to eat might be your situation. I got there right at 5:30 p.m. when they open and grabbed one of two of the last seats available. The owner of the restaurant is a lot of fun and energetic with a wealth of knowledge of Italian traditional dishes. He greets you and goes over the specials for the night as well as answers any questions you may have. He speaks with a heavy accent and further compliments the experience. Every one there is great and seemingly plays a part in your meal whether its refilling your drink or taking an empty plate away. The food is unbelievable! I was in between two dishes I wanted to try so the owner put together a "combo" meal specially for me so I could try both. I can not put into words how great the meal was. The experience as a whole should not be passed up! This will be my new go to for dinner dates with my fiance or with the children. Oh I forgot to add, the child has to be 9 or up to eat there the owner disclosed to me when I mentioned I wanted to take my family. Overall 10/10 A+!

Absolutely love this restaurant! Excellent service that makes you feel like an insider. We've been a few times and the owner has been our server at some point in every visit. They recognize us now and we feel like family. The menu is irrelevant, it's just a guide. They will make you whatever you want and are full of recommendations. I truly feel like every visit is a one-of-a-kind experience! The icing on the cake is the ambiance. Low lighting, wine glasses, small and intimate... It really invites you to take your time and enjoy the company of those around you. Disclaimer: they don't take reservations and they fill up fast! Make eating here a priority in your night or you're going to miss out! Also, no split checks so plan ahead.

Our son wanted to take us here after giving us his own glowing review. We went with him and were seated by 7 PM on Tuesday night. Every element of our meals was superb. Camila & Adolfo we're a magnificent help, describing the menu options, specials, & custom ordering options. My order of the daily special of lasagna was very literally the best I'd ever had!! My wife praised the snapper as well. Dessert choices finished the evening as superbly as our glass of wine started us off. Clearly a 5-star visit, price not withstanding.

First time eating at this restaurant, and it was a treat. Adolpho and his staff were excellent hosts and the food was delicious. Chose this restaurant over other Italian restaurants due to the good reviews and reasonable pricing. It was also my daughter's birthday (New Year's Eve), and she wanted Italian food. Small & quaint space with a decent wine selection (with some of our favorites from the Tuscany region of Italy). Will be returning to this restaurant with some of friends to spread the word.

Was pleasantly surprised! I ordered on Uber eats and wasn’t expecting much since 9 times out of 10 it’s never very good. I order the chicken parmigiana which was delicious! Even down to the pasta they put on the side! It has a creamy marinara sauce more like a vodka sauce which is to die for! It was served with green beans which were fresh and perfectly cooked! The chicken was cooked nicely and has a thick crusty layer of cheese on top. Definitely recommend and whenever I’m back in town I will be back!

I've been coming here for a few years and this is by far the best Italian restaurant in Tampa. Anyone who rated this place less than 5 stars must have personal beef with someone who works there or they're just simply a liar. Atmosphere is casual and very intimate with a lovely vibe. Service was great! Small, cozy dining area. Food was delicious. They do a great job accommodating your taste desire for that evening, as they will make a lot of items that are not on the menu.... Just àsk. Yes, they have a policy of no kids (i think under 12), which we were rejected one previous attempt, so we just came back without the kids.

This place is truly a gem. A multi-generation Italian family runs this joint and puts out some darn good authentic Italian cuisine. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service is even better. They offer delicious and affordable red wine to pair with their home-style food. There's typically a wait, but don't worry- there's a wine bar (that also serves food) 3 doors down. You can wait there and enjoy a few apps/drinks while you wait for your table at Osteria. Highly recommended.

Seriously, some of the best tasting Italian I’ve ever had. I know as I come from an Italian family from NY/NJ. Love the quaint atmosphere and the service was on point. The owner was heavily involved with each and every table. The food was unreal. I don’t really have a negative to say other then that because of the small capacity, it may take a little while to get a table and perhaps it can get a tad loud but put all that aside. It doesn’t matter. This is our new go to place for Italian

Wonderful experience! I'm currently wheelchair bound the staff was amazing at accommodating for me. The food was delicious I had the dinner special wild boar with truffle it was great tender and flavorful! The staff was friendly and attentive throughout the whole meal. Osteria Natalina has been a staple in our home over the years. It’s a place our family gathers where we feel a part of their family sitting at our grandmothers table. This is one place I have never even looked at the menu I always get whatever the fish special is and I have never been let down. If you want to have the most authentic Italian food and experience in Tampa if not in the US, go no place else. Simply amazing. The food quality is out of scale of everything I have ever had in the US. The ingredients are as fresh as it could get. The wine they recommended was as good as the ones I had in Tuscany. The service is excellent. I want to thank the owner who was there to welcome us and the manager who expained everything and even helped us customize our own plates. Will come again!!

A small, perfectly groomed family restaurant or a titan of local cuisine? Yes. The menu items are great and will not disappoint, but for the true experience you must be willing to take the advice of your severs. Try the specials, split things with your family and friends, have some wine, have some conversation. Bring your appetite and enjoy the relaxed pace of traditional Italian dining. Open at 530, no reservations but groups should call ahead.

The food meets expectations everytime. I’ve heard some call it “pricey” but i feel the value is there times 10! I lived in Sicily for 2 months and while the traditional dishes have a twist, the quality is exactly what I received abroad. The service is even better than the food. Quick, tentative. All servers are helpful and knowledgeable. They talk to you like you are an old friend while still keeping it professional. Side note- one server even recommended a doggy daycare for my pup and she was right. We love the daycare as much as we love Osteria!

I lived in Italy for three years and until now I have not had a dining experience like I had at Osteria Natalina. The atmosphere was pure Italian Trattoria, and the food was exquisite. The owner was gracious and affable, recommending some of their best dishes. I will be eating there at least once a month from now on and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an "Italian Dining Experience". My girlfriend and I had a multi-course meal there that took about an hour and forty-five minutes, a most amazing experience! Thank you for the Great service and excellent food!

This is the best Italian restaurant in Tampa. Every dish is handmade. All of them. It's very small but cozy and inviting. As an added bonus, if you want something not on the menu, a call just one day in advance or sometimes, the same day, and they will prepare it special for you. I recommend Osteria Natalina to all of my friends who are looking for a great date place or just a fantastic meal.

Great food, service, and very clean. Only minor downfall was the noise and size...tables are very close to one another. One other hint is to get there when they open. Because of the amount of tables they have...the dining tends to fill quickly...what better compliment to the food/chef that opening at 5:30 to see the dining room filled completely by 6:15. Overall a very good dining experience.

Hands down, one of the best restaurants in Tampa. The service is amazing, the food is incredible, and the wine is generously poured. This is one of my favorite restaurants ever. There’s nothing fancy about the ambiance but there’s still a great atmosphere. You just need to stop reading this review and go eat there now! Note: they do not permit young children in the restaurant. They also do not take reservations, but if you get a drink beforehand at “Cheese Please” in the neighboring plaza, they typically help you get towards the front of the waitlist :)

We are passing by the town & staying at a hotel near because of the rain. I read a bunch of reviews before ordering our Ubereats to the hotel. Food was very good, I do feel the portion for the sachettinni was VERY small for the price. Plus SUCKS to order what is considered “fine dining” on a rainy night to a hotel room to get ur food looking like Chinese containers with none of the utensils & condiments I Requested on the NOTES. Attention to details & the presentation of ur meal packaging (specially now that’s most of families order in) is very important. My rating; food very good, but the presentation of the meal delivery & lack to details does not justify the cost of the meal.

The fact that they’ll make whatever you want or create half of an entree and combine it with some pasta dish you may desire to accompany is all the better! If you want authentic Italian cuisine with a masterfully crafted menu, then this is the place. Expect to pay more than a chain restaurant, but they're attention to detail is amazing and makes the extra few dollars worth every bite. By far my favorite place to eat in Tampa.

The most authentic Italian cuisine in Tampa! You have not lived until you taste the pear stuffed sacchettini!!! You are greeted at the door like family and escorted to your table just as the staff begins to recite the off menu specials for the night from memory! The owners and staff go above and beyond to make the intimate dining experience feel like a private dining experience even though you are amongst other guest. The restaurant is quaint with limited seating capacity, but that is what adds to the allure of the dining experience. They do not accept reservations so it is best to arrive early, but the food is well worth the wait! FYI there is a wine bar a few doors down where you can sip while you wait for your table.

I would like to give this restaurant 3 stars. It's a fun and welcoming place to visit. Osteria Natalina is a small restaurant. We waited outside but staff offered glasses of wine. Many of us who waited enjoyed that. The staff was very nice. I had linguine with clam sauce and it was good. I was disappointed with two items. One was the bread for the table, it was stale. The second disappointment was their limoncello cake. It really was just a lemon cake there was no hint or taste of limoncello in that cake. Other than those two things, I would recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely the best restaurant in Tampa, Fl. I ordered the snapper that came topped with clams, oysters, and a red sauce. The sides were pasta and broccoli with red spaghetti sauce and parmesan cheese. Each individual item was amazing but the pairing was on point. There was no over bearing fishy taste, not too much pasta or vegetables. Overall, one of the best dishes I've ever had. Top my hat to the chef's and employees of Osteria Natalina.

Best Italian in Tampa!!! Wow, this place is fantastic. They have a great variety to their menu and the entree are authentic, savory and delicious. My ink dyed risotto calamari dish was fantastic and my wife's covena fish entree was equally as impressive. NOTE - this place does not accept reservations and gets crowded (starts right at 6:00) so get there early. It's also super noisey.

This is legitimately our favorite Italian restaurant in Tampa. We had gone to a few, and other places are fine, but the food here is fantastic. If it's not on the menu and is a typical/traditional Italian dish (chicken parm, spaghetti and meatballs, etc.) they will make it for you. The sacchettini pasta with pear and gorgonzola is my favorite thing they have. Kids have to be 9 years old to eat here, just an FYI. Service is always fantastic, can't recommend enough.

This place is exquisite. Casual, simple, small Italian place serving genuine Italian dishes. I've been to numerous Italian restaurant and this one beats them all by miles. We had the calamari, the recommended soup, the tuna served medium well, and the beef lasagna with pink sauce. We didn't forget a bottle of classic red Italian wine. Everything was simply decadent. Spartaco was genuinely interested in our experience, made us feel welcome, and took the time to explain the menu and make recommendations. Our experience, my fiancée and I, was wonderful. We'll come back. PS: The 4/5 star is simply because they don't take reservation, they do not accept kids under 7 (not that we had kids, but that's not mentioned on their website and people have been turned away after arrival), and they had us waiting outside for a table, albeit for a short period of time, but it was raining.

My absolute favorite Italian place in Tampa. If you go on a week night you typically do not have to wait long for a table but on the weekends, good luck. We saw the many reviews online and were in the area, so we decided to try it out. My husband and I arrived on a Friday evening just after they opened at 5:30 pm. There were three tables for two available and we were given the opportunity to pick one. They had many specials, but we finally decided on smoked salmon rolled with ricotta for starters. We had a veal lasagna and lobster & lump crab pasta in a creamy pink sauce. Everything was delicious! We also had a bottle of Chianti. It was our first time trying this restaurant and we are likely to return.

The owner is a interesting person, funny guy. I wish they would take reservations. We waited for almost 1hr and 20 min. He should offer the service of the next door wine bar, we could had spend more time there. It is not place you go when you are not in a hurry, or if you a person that does not like - go if the flow - lol - you will wait a long time. I could not do a business dinner meeting there. Osteria Natalina is a must visit. Forget all the national chains and go where the food is prepared fresh and any way you want it. Their menu is short and simple, but that is only the beginning. They will make any dish, anyway in, any make up you want (as long as they have the ingredients). Their food is fresh and for the most part they only keep enough for the day. They have a number of different sauces from red tomato, cream sauces to white. No matter what we asked for they were so accommodating to make it the way each person wanted.

My wife and I have been looking for a great Italian place in Tampa since we moved here two years ago. I must say, the service was beyond my expectations. When asked what I would like, I said what I want is not on the menu, I would love some traditional carbonara. The staff told me no problem, we will make it for you. This is by far the best and most authentic italian restaurant I have been to in Florida and the U.S. This place is not your average restaurant serving Italian-like dishes that are more Americanized. This place serves 100% authentic home-made Italian dishes with real imported Italian ingredients. I have been here multiple times and have tried multiple dishes. The Lasagna with meat and pink sauce, the Suzy salad, linguini with clam and lobster in pink sauce, sacchettini (stuffed cheese and pear pasta bags - think like Chanel bags - it is so good!), gnocchi and the meatballs with cheese and tomato sauce. I tried the filet mignon as well and it is one of the best cooked tenderloins, a very succulent and juicy filet. The wine here is Italian all the way. The dark chocolate gelato is very rich in flavor but not over sweet and it is authentic gelato ice cream. If you’d like to vicariously live in Italy for an hour or so you can do that by having dinner here. Make sure you come earlier than your anticipated dinner time - this place does not take reservations and is always packed. People take long drives to have food here. This place is great for romantic dates and get together with friends. A must visit if you’re in Tampa or visiting out of town!

Amazing food! Went with a group of 6 people and everyone was pleased with their meal. I had the Risotto and was shocked by how delicious it was. My husband and mother had the fresh fish of the day (Mahi Mahi), which they both thoroughly enjoyed. My mother in law and sister's significant other both had the lobster ravioli. My sister had the caprese salad. We also enjoyed the tiramisu and cannolis after dinner as well as a bottle of pinot grigio. Everything was well received. Be prepared to spend a decent price, but it is worth the cost. Also, be warned they do not split the bill- policy stated on menu.

I was skeptical to try Osteria Natalina after my American husband told me that he had found a place with great reviews and a reputation for being the most authentic Italian cuisine in Tampa. As an Italian who recently moved to the States from Rome, I pride myself on finding the best local Italian places and criticising most of the ones he finds. Regardless, I let him talk me into going, not expecting to find an "osteria" that would be as "legit" as the places I in which I grew up dining in my hometown. The seppia, the stuffed agnolotti, the bone-in veal steak, and the pistacchio gelato were all truly fantastic. The food would be enough to call this place our favorite restaurant in Tampa, but the environment is what really sets this place apart. The friendliness and generosity of Spartaco, the wait staff, and even the other diners, made this place a real pleasure to spend an evening. (Seriously, we spent several hours here.) We don't often review restaurants online, but I need to hand it to my husband for finding Osteria Natalina, a truly warm and welcoming authentic Italian dining destination. They can make you whatever you want, but usually have some amazing suggestions as specials. Moses was a wonderful waiter. This was my second time to Osteria Natalina (O.N.)and it was just as good if not better than the first. Lori had the lasagna and I being vegetarian made that known to Mo - short for Moses. He responded by asking "want me to surprise you!?" Of course I said, because its my prefered way of ordering sometimes. A lot of places used to look at a vegetarian weird like for asking for a veg-friendly dish in a conventional style restaurant. Now I get the, "oh exciting man! Let me see what the chefs may create for you" response. The same happened at Ocean Prime on Thursday. Anyways, O.N. is a quiant, family run op that pulls no punches. There food is made from scratch as far as I can tell and everyone is excited that you're there. The other cool thing is, because it's the size that it is, a 14 top no more (restaurant lingo for, there are only 14 tables. Tables = tops) you get the ebb-n-flow conversation effect. Sometimes the restaurant is noisy with everyone's talking and the next moment the room falls dead quite before conversation picks up again, it reminds me of waves on the ocean. Deffinately go to O.N. you will not be disappointed, spectacular food, warm, quiant environment and some pretty decent wines. Two 👍 ⬆.

Quite possibly the very best Italian meal that I have ever enjoyed.......Osteria Natalina is a small family-owned and operated restaurant, located in a little strip mall off MacDill and just under the Selmon Expressway. Osteria is an Italian word describing an eatery which is a bit less fancy and more of a casual feel, but still with great homemade food. Natalina is the name of owner's (Spartaco) mother who still resides in Rimini, Italy, a northern coastal village. She makes many visits to Tampa each year to see her son. His Mother was born on Christmas Eve, hence the name Natalina. Now this delightful Italian eatery is small, but with amazing personal service, and out of this world food and wine selections. Our meal started with Spartaco greeting us by the front door and welcoming us to our table towards the back of the restaurant, where he introduced our waiter. They told us that while there is a fixed menu, and that the chef prepares several special dishes each evening, and that if we didn't see anything that we liked that they would be honored to cook us anything from scratch. Candace and I started with glasses of Sangiovese, an Italian red varietal, while our waiter described the Chef's specials for the evening. We settled on a special seafood dish in a light cream sauce, served over linguini; and Bucatini (sausage) with freshly-sliced cheese over spaghetti pasta for our entrées, and split a Mozzarella and Caprese salad which was drizzled with good balsamic vinegar. Oh my gosh, the meal was superb, and our waiter spent some time describing the dish and how it was prepared before allowing us the opportunity to pounce on our plates like rabid wolves. Everything was made from scratch, and simply outstanding! Even though we were stuffed to the gills, we managed to squeeze in a few bites of a very light and delicious cake, layered with cream, and drizzled with a Key Lime reduction. Oh my goodness! Truly an outstanding meal, enhanced by very warm and personable service. We felt like members of the family by the time our meal was over, and Spartaco once again shook our hands and thanked us sincerely for dining with them as he held the door for Candace and me. Grazie Mille, Spartaco! We will definitely be back.

Wow. The last time I had food like this, I was in northern Italy near Verona. To be honest, I do not want to share this Palma Ceia gem with anyone. First of all, let me tell you I am italian, from Rome, living in US since only 6 years. With that said, I know what a real italian restaurant is, I know what the real italian cusine is, the excellence of the italian food with no compromises, the greatness of the home made pasta. Osteria Natalina excels and goes beyond my expectations. I was there with my girlfriend, exploring for a nice restaurant, it turned out to be a trip to Italy without buying the airticket. Spartaco and his wife are wonderful hosts, his presentation of food and suggestions to better enjoy each dish were great. He is from Rimini and so is my step-mom and my step grandmom, and i know what are the Cappellletti home made and how they taste. Spartaco's mom does one of the best cappelletti I ever ate:) I can only say this has been by far my best italian experience in Tampa - A+ to Spartaco. NOTE: the address on google is wrong, better say, the mapping is wrong. It displays north of the Express way, instead is barely south of it. So, when you come from Bay to Bay and cross S MacDill, go SOUTH and right after the underpass is on your right.
