Staff and ambience was amazing. My boyfriend and I were served by Juan and he did an amazing job and was incredibly helpful and gave great recommendations. Chef Billie was also great and super friendly, not to mention he makes AMAZING food. We got the shrimp and grits and pork chop for our entrees and they were mouth watering. If you go make sure to save room for the bread pudding because it was to die for. 10/10 would definitely recommend this place to everyone!!

We had an excellent dining experience at this restuarant. Our host was very attentive and helpful. He made sure we were happy with the food. Our daughter enjoyed her cheese pizza. The chicken salad was fresh and the dressing was extremely delicious. The pasta was also yummy. Overall, we thought the food was tasty and were talking about coming back for another occasion.

Loved the brunch atmosphere! We tried a nice assortment of items, our favorites being the French toast and steak and eggs. (The frittata was nothing to write home about as it was simply fried egg whites with an unappetizing looking sauce smeared on the top with one cherry tomato cut in half. The side salad was good.) Good service, great drinks. Will return!

On Swann is a MUST. Everything about this place is amazing. From the service, to the food. We had a fantastic experience and our server was beyond exceptional. There was so much flavor in the sandwiches we ordered, a combination of sweet and salty. We were very impressed with the food! For an upscale restaurant, the prices were very reasonable too. We ordered the BLT with avo & fried egg, grilled cheese with a side of tomato soup. Non-alcoholic Blueberry Vanilla and Strawberry Mint sodas. We went on Wednesday morning and there was no reservation required nor the restaurant was busy. We highly recommend visiting this restaurant! On Swann is definitely a place we will stop by when we are in town.

I just want to say customer service was A1 here. From the receptionist to our waitress, Skylar to the manager. Skylar was very polite, knowledgeable, and when she wasn’t sure about a dish she was willing to verify for us. My friend was unsure about his dish that he received.so the manager got involved and was willing to accommodate him. He even had Skylar bring over a complimentary dessert(I was drooling after taking a bite, it was so delicious).Everyone did a fantastic job, me and my friend left in awe and in complete satisfaction. Thank you all for a great evening!

On Swann is my favorite restaurant in Tampa! Food is always fantastic and they constantly have specials and change up the menu. Service is always great - I highly recommend Chris, Anthony, and Riki! The gnocchi, beef carpaccio, and zeppole are the best, and can’t go without the bread pudding for dessert!! Love, love, love this place!

We just came here for dinner the other night, and we had such a wonderful time. Our waiter was lovely, and the food we ordered was delicious. The presentation and flavors were excellent. Our appetizers, main courses, and desserts were absolutely mouthwatering. If I ever stop in Tampa again, I will surely come back to this place!

Very quaint, but sophisticated corner restaurant with a nice ambiance. I have wanted to dine here for years and 'Tashiastaste' finally made it! The manager on duty accommodated me immediately with a patio seat which was very nice, although it was a bit chilly and the outdoor heaters did not work. Despite that they offered blankets for patrons. We tried the infamous kale salad that was as good as reviews says it is, the hot chicken, the burger and the steak frittes that was the best bite of the night. My husband woke up this morning still talking about the steak and how much he enjoyed it! The 'Wordplay' cocktail topped everything off superbly. I was not disappointed.

Great place, with great ambiance, great food. And good drinks. I love the mix of themes on swann has to offer. Great vibe also and beautiful people. Great for a date night or other things as well. Staff was great and very attentive. If you're in the Tampa area you need to stop by and give em visit. I loved that they had such a huge selection of bourbons also. Can't say enough good things. I highly highly recommend the oysters. They are cooked but the sauce they are cooked in is just.....😘👌🏼 Perfection

Great vibe for a dinner with friends or a date. Ambiance was lively and service was excellent. The wait for the table without a reservation was a little too long so we sat at the bar for a few drinks and bites. Everything was great. Despite the bar and restaurant being quite full, everything was brought to us in a very timely manner, which was greatly appreciated. The cocktails were well balanced and the share board we ordered was great as well. Definitely coming back!

Such a wonderful experience. We came here for my moms birthday and really felt like we were well taken care of and enjoyed our time. The service was excellent from Skylr. She was on top of every single moment - from ensuring we had water refills, cocktails refilled, food on time and even bringing my mom a birthday dessert with candle. From beginning to end we had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back!

I was looking forward to trying this place since it was recommended to me and finally had the chance but I was disappointed the first time, I was given another opportunity to come and try it. I enjoyed the food. I spoke to Ron who is the manager there. He was outstanding and went above and beyond to make sure I had better experience which it really was. Service was wonderful, I enjoyed the food as well The first time around I had their Google and Yelp recommendation, Steak frites. I personally did not like. The second time around I had their Kale salad without bacon!!! WOW it was sooo good, I ate the whole thing. Their salmon was very tasty as well I also had their tomato bisque which was outstanding as the first time. They have plenty of seats inside and outside, They do close from 2-5 so lunch time then closing and preparing foe dinner. I would sit outside, inside can get loud specially during lunch time. I would go again and I would def get the salad and the tomato bisque.

Get. The. Brunch. Yes, there are a number of great bruncheries around Tampa. On Swann impressed us by being trendy, accessible, efficient, and high quality. Bright and airy. A rare combination. Great mix of frequent locals and tourists hanging out in the Hyde Park neighborhood. Every single brunch dish we spied on other tables looked yum. The Moroccan Eggs looked particularly interesting. Food and drinks priced exactly as you'd expect for the experience. $35/person for entree, drink, and shared appetizer.

Great lunch and great service. We ordered Chicken Salad and Sirloin Burger. Our food came in a minutes, very fresh and tasty. The restaurant has a great interior and ambiance. I would recommend this place for both casual and business lunch.

We had a wonderful experience going to On Swann for the first time! Our server, Matt, was so friendly and full of charisma! He thoroughly explained all of our menu options and gave his recommendations, which were highly favorable! We ordered the infamous Kale salads and I had the salmon while my husband had the steak burger with truffle fries! He enjoyed his maple walnut old fashioned and I had a watermelon spritzer mock tail. My salmon was so fresh and grilled to perfection. I appreciate the lovely cuisine art, motif and aesthetics of my plate. My husband’s steak burger was extremely satisfying! From the ambiance of the restaurant, the industrial vibe, exemplary service from Matt, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience coupled with the amazing and delicious lunch! I like the open concept of this brick and mortar location, centrally located, in Hyde Park. We highly recommend everyone to have lunch at On Swann; furthermore, we will definitely come back for dinner! ☺️👏🥂

Where to start! Everything about our experience at On Swann was on point! The cocktails were delicious (the mi alma was my favorite), our server Chris took the time to walk us through the menu to ensure that we would get the best dishes for us, the food was amazing and you can tell how fresh everything is. The lamb special was to die for and adding blackened chicken to the gnocci took it to the next level (thanks to Chris for the recs!). We sat outside and it was lovely. We could even still glimpse the kitchen inside. 100/10 can’t wait to go back. Love that the menu is seasonal and excited to see what awaits us next time we’re in town!

1st visit. A Friday during lunch. We were seated, with drinks and our delicious charcuterie within 15 minutes. I was very impressed with the service. Restaurant wasn't too loud and the vibe was quaint and welcoming. Lots of natural light able to come through. It was a perfect day to visit. Mallerie was our server and she was thoughtful and prompt. Can't wait to return!

My friend and I came for a girls night out and I'm so glad we chose On Swann. From location, to service, down to the food - everything was on point. We were seated fairly quickly on the outdoors table. Our waiter came immediately and let us know the specials. Helped with our drinks (I like to always ask what's the oakiest Chardonnay - ZD) and was super friendly. We got 4 different "appetizers" which were a decent size. We got the beet salad, kale salad with blackened salmon, mussels, and the beef carpaccio. My favorite was the beet salad and least favorite was the mussels. Mussels are tasty but a bit on the spicy side. We finished with cappuccinos and the best bread pudding you'll ever have. GET THE BREAD PUDDING!

This place is awesome. The service is impeccable and the food tastes even better then It looks. Everything was superb, the entree the service and the decor. I didn't take pictures of anything because I was to busy eating and enjoying. My girlfriend managed to snap a shot of their cobbler before we devoured it. I can't wait to go again and explore The rest of the menu.

Mixed results here! High service received from an obviously well-trained staff in an eye pleasing, thoughtfully designed restaurant. The Swannmary cocktail received raves! Highly recommend. But not the Passionfruit Spritzer cocktail. I wish Passion fruit was a predominant flavor on the palette with the sparkling wine. The Tomato bisque was easily our favorite of the meal. And you do receive a nice serving. Very tasty! The Sirloin burger was o-k. And while the Moroccan Egg is described in the menu with baked eggs (plural) you indeed receive, one egg. When you think about it…is one egg really enough to satisfy? Maybe for some. It also contained lamb sausage and while the sausage is very good, it was a light three piece serving. Consider ordering a second entree here or something else with the Moroccan Egg. A question was made to the server, who was extremely pleasant about it however, no remedy or manager visit. For us On Swann is a see and be seen vibe, and we definitely enjoyed that!

What a great experience. Had dinner with my girlfriends before I move away, and everything was fabulous. The server was polite and didn't rush us. Food was even better. Can't wait to visit and see what else there is in Hyde Park.

On Swann has free parking across the street. You can make reservation or pop in, we didn’t make reservations but got there just at opening and asked to sit outside. Tea for $4 and coffee for $3.50 were reasonable and our sweet and very fast server kept the coffee and tea hot, thank you. I ordered an egg white frittata and my hubby had the black bean burger with a $3 up charge for the fries. The burger had a bit of a kick (not Dallas Cheerleader kick more like a retired Rockette). The restaurant used to have bread when you sat from Jamison B and we missed that. The music, was a bit loud inside but outside you could have a conversation. All in all a good, solid place to go and have a lovely meal.

My wife and I had our first date night out almost a year after having our second kiddo. We decided to give On Swann a shot while we had a babysitter for the night. Zero regrets. We received some of the best service I’ve had in years of fine dining, and the food was delicious. You can tell when an establishment puts a lot of effort into making sure they hire the right people for the job. Everyone from the front of the house to the back (and management) did great. All of the food was cooked perfectly with significant portions and awesome flavor profiles. The drinks were top shelf as well. We had a fantastic time, and we’re glad we chose them as our first downtown experience in Tampa. We will be back for sure.

After seeing a picture of the Steak Frites with bone marrow online I just had to try it and after trying it I have to say I was not at all disappointed; it was absolutely delicious. All the other food our table got was fantastic too from the Hot Chicken and Oysters as starters to the Short Rib and the Gnocchi. Our server Kaylee also provided excellent service and recommendations. Will definitely return!

Spec.Tac.U.Lar.... Been a fan of charcuterie for quite some time, and On Swann NAILED IT. The wife and I shared a butcher and cheese board (combined) and it was absolutely stellar. The ambiance of the quiant atmosphere gave off corner bistro vibes, with an emphasize on expanding the typical palette. Along with the board, we had a couple of drinks; the walnut maple old fashioned and the Garden Social- both were mixed to perfection. If you're in Tampa, and you enjoy a nice upscale neighborhood eatery - do yourself a favor and stop in.

On Swann is located in south Tampa. I have been here quite a few times. There is indoor and outdoor seating, interior is high ceiling, bright and open. Decor is chic/ modern industrial. Moderate level of noise, nice background house music. Menu is limited and well thought of. This time tried Kale salad, and beef carpaccio. I think both were great in taste and presentation ( see pics). Main course tried steak frites, and bone marrow with pesto sauce, fries, and sketch up. I think all were perfect. For two people we ended up with 100$. Bathrooms were clean. Our server was attentive, well trained. She was not intrusive, and too much around. All and all I have not been disappointed every time I came here. Give it a try 👍🏼

I visited On Swann after hearing great things about it and now I see why! The decor was beautiful and classic, and the restaurant has an interesting and varied menu. We had the beef carpaccio (which I’ve never tried before) the smoked salmon, truffle fries, mahi-mahi, scallops, ice cream, and fruit cobbler. (Yes we were stuffed and took home “doggie bags”. I was a little nervous to try the beef carpaccio, but I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors, it was wonderful and thinly sliced enough to be delicate and tender. The smoked salmon was also delicious and I had food envy with the mahi-mahi of my companion. The ice cream and pumpkin mousse was fabulous, but the crust of the fruit cobbler was undercooked, bummer. I’m definitely going to visit this place again though, I could make a meal of appetizers and that ice cream! I recommend On Swann for a unique and delicious dining experience.

Excellent dining experience. The decor was nice and the service was great. A little loud but everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves as much as us. I had the scallops with brussel sprouts and the roasted corn while my date had the steak and Pom fritz with truffle butter. Everything was delicious! They have parking behind the building as well as along the street at no charge and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Reservations are highly recommended.

Excellent food and very attentive and friendly servers. They made sure to ask about and accommodate dietary restrictions (gluten and dairy for me). I ordered the pommes frites, cauliflower, kale salad with salmon, and a “faux-jito.” All was delicious and prices were reasonable. The only thing I’d say is it does get crowded so try and get a reservation.

Showing up at On Swann, you are immediately struck by the olde American style bar and decor. It’s approachable but has a fancy feel to give you that good good impression. Unfortunately, our table wasn’t ready when we arrived. Since the outdoor area was closed for flooding, they had to crunch everyone inside. Not 5 minutes went by before the manager came over, offered us a ton of options for what we wanted to do next. He even waited on us on our own makeshift cocktail table until our table was ready. I was extremely impressed with how Skyler treated us. We ordered the Ribeye as our main course. Woof was this everything I wanted in a steak and more. Perfectly cooked, seasoned, and charred. Great drinks, vibes, all around. I didn’t know Florida could produce such a good meal out of Miami. 10/10. Will return.

Went as a big group of 14 and after a bit of discussion were seated near the front of the restaurant. Service was good throughout and the atmosphere is good as this restaurant is always busy. The menu is not long but there were so many things I wanted to try and I was really pleased with my choices but would happily return several times to try other options. Good beer selection and wine list. Some interesting signature cocktails and prices are reasonable for the quality. I'll be back for sure.

The Walnut Old Fashioned was everything!! The burger and tomato bisque were also delicious! Beautiful restaurant with great staff. It's an experience...from the open doors to outside down to the fresh cut wood candle in the restroom that I'm still trying to find online. Yasss Swann, yasss.

Great environment, great food, great service. There menu isn’t your typical menu with dishes smaller than appetizers called nibblers. We had 4 drinks total with a appetizer and 2 entrees which came out to $100 which isn’t bad. The Hot chicken appetizer was amazing. The waitress recommend a watermelon-strawberry soda with vodka which was good as well. All around great experience.

Fantastic food. We came in at around 1130 on a Tuesday and it was easy to get a seat. We ordered the Mediterranean share board. It was served with pita bread triangles which were fresh and delicious. Every dip was amazing. I had the pasta genovese and it was very yummy and plentiful. A lot of pesto, but excellent. My wife had the black bean burger and also found it fantastic. We each had two drinks so it came out right around seventy bucks a person with taxes and tip included, and it was well worth it.

This is such an incredible restaurant! From the decor, atmosphere, service and food. An all around wonderful experience! I was with a large work group (party of 16) and our server Trina was outstanding! She was engaging, knowledgeable, took the stage, made fantastic recommendations and truly knew what the hell she was doing to build the expectations of her outstanding service. The atmosphere is laid back yet really cozy. The staff was amazing and attentive. Our server made sure to ask if we came for a special occasion. They even sang happy birthday to the bartender. It is louder than other restaurants but this adds to the experience. I recommend the Ragu. It was delicious. The pasta and beef were cooked to perfection.

Just moved to the area so wanted to explore the Hyde Park Village area. Passed a few spots that were too busy and stumbled upon this place that was more on the outskirts of the activity and it ended up being a gem! Meatballs were definitely interesting and caught me off guard with the grits, but in a good way. Short rib ragu was fantastic. Also had a great cocktail list. Will return and will return often.

Fun and Yummy!!! The food and drink menu is vastly unique and enthralling... The flavors are bursting from the cheese board to the entrees to the desserts - well thought-out, engineered plates that will have your taste buds dancing! Oh!! And!! Had dinner at On Swann for the first time last night and they did not disappoint. The ambiance is lovely. The hostesses and wait staff are warm and very service oriented. To start we had the Arancini (saffron arancini | chorizo | manchego) and Kale Salad (quinoa | brussel sprouts | bacon | corn | tart cherries | pecans | ricotta salata) Our entrees were:Short Rib (ragu | gemelli pasta | wild mushrooms | citrus pine nut crumb) and Pork Chop (double chop | apple mostarda | squash | anson mill grits) My only regret is not taking more photos as everything was yummy and well plated. But I’ll be back & there will be more 📸 🥘 🍹

Ok so the cocktail program at this restaurant is TOP TIER as well as the service! We sat at the bar and the experience was so personable and the drinks were A1. Only got videos no pics of the food but we had tuna crudo, steak frites, and charcuterie: Everything was bomb. I will say the lack of coasters and paper napkins under my drink threw me off. Not having coasters just made the drinks a little less cocktailee….. made the experience a little less Picturesque if you will. However, The bartenders Glen and a a young woman (forgot her name she was medium build with brown hair) very knowledgeable about the drinks/food and even suggested a speak easy (Ciro) that we went to after and had a stellar time!

Update 10/2022: On Swann is still amazing. They stay totally consistent with excellent drinks, food, and service. Our server today was Taylor and she was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Always a great experience at On Swann. One of our absolute favorites in Tampa. You cannot go wrong here. We love the charcuterie board, the kale salad, and the pizette. They have awesome drinks that change regularly and a great selection of wines. The short ribs are excellent and the ribeye is as well. Get the bread pudding for dessert. The service is amazing. You will not be disappointed. They gave my wife a cookie with candle for her birthday. Super nice people and excellent food and drinks.

One of Tampa’s classiest, most charming restaurants. Not stuffy, more on the relaxed/upscale side. Every dish I’ve had has been excellent, and the drinks are great. Sitting at the bar, the high-top, or outside make for a nice departure from the usual table setting.

It would be difficult to give them anything less than 5 stars. Our only issue was the noise. It’s a very loud dining experience but that’s not the easiest problem to solve. As for the food, it’s in the top echelon of Tampa dining. The courses were bigger than expected which makes the price right for the offerings. We had starters this time and enjoyed them all. The fig tart was our favorite. We also had the Foie Gras which was great, the carpaccio, and the tuna crudo. The carpaccio was slightly over salted but for that being the only issue, we’ll definitely be back and with friends. Great place overall!

I had an incredible night at On Swann! The ambiance, the food, the service… all of it was done so well. My husband took me there for a birthday celebration and every server told me Happy Birthday, and even included touches of champagne and a cookie to celebrate. The food was PHENOMENAL. If the zeppole is still on the nibbles menu, it’s a must try. Whoever thought to do a savory version should be promoted. Everything we ate was delicious. The service was truly wonderful. Our server was attentive and kind, we had other who also would bring us bread and make sure all was going well. I would highly recommend and will definitely be going again in the future!

On Swann is a foodie's piece of heaven on earth. My friend and I could not stop ordering food, and every dish was presented perfectly and tasted divine! The menu was written well, because every dish on it piqued my interest. We overindulged, and as I write this review, it is the next morning, and I'm still not hungry. We had the chicken liver mousse, kale salad, fig tart, and pork chop. They have become well-known in Tampa for this kale salad, and now I understand why. Our server was one of the best in the business. She knew the food well, and she was able to satisfy our curiosity about how ingredients were prepared. She kept our waters full. She knew when to check on us and when to exit the table. I can't wait to dine here again! Next time, I will eat a little less and save room for dessert!

I feel horrible that I haven't eaten here by now. We sat at the bar and these guys are master's of their craft when it co.es to making drinks. A simple margarita turns Into an entire experience while you watch them place a twist on a classic. The food was amazing. Definitely among my top 5 favorite restaurants in the Tampa Bay Area. The lamb meatballs with grits are crazy good. A must visit.

All around 5 star experience. Our waiter was excellent, knew the menu well, offered advice when asked, and was very personable. The food was amazing; everything we ordered exceeded expectations. I love a drink with a chili in it and they has two...my husband got the king of kings and it really somehow went through a variety of flavors when you took a drink. We got the farmers board and the scallops with risotto, and for dessert we got the bread pudding...I'm really not a dessert person and I was melting over the bread pudding. I would happily go back there for dinner multiple nights in a row.

Loved it. Got the steak frittes. Everything was incredibly good. I didn't like the marrow, but I think that was just personal taste. I don't think I would have ever had marrow in any other setting, but they made it look appetizing. Service was excellent, reservations were held, no waiting... firm five stars.

Found this place in an area that used to be “not so awesome”, but now has turned into quite nice neighborhood, good food and shopping. I’ve enjoyed most of their menu, you can’t go wrong with any of it! Slightly upscale trendy, but prices are very reasonable for the offerings.

The food tasted great and the staff was very friendly. We did not have to wait for a seat and they had quite a few interesting menu options. It is a bit expensive for what you get but it's a nice night out.

The restaurant had decent food, but it was a bit heavy and lacked a certain something to make it truly stand out. The flavors were okay but overall it was a bit underwhelming. The service was good in the atmosphere was nice but the food was just missing that extra spark. I would recommend this restaurant if you're in the area and looking for something decent to eat, but there are probably better options out there.

We went here to celebrate a birthday. They were great in accommodating us with bring our own special traditional bday cake along. We arrived ahead of the group and sat at the bar where we interacted with the bartender. He introduced us to a couple of new cocktails one of which “the paper airplane” I’ve added to my list of favourites! The dinner was absolutely delicious! From the signature Kale Salad to the Hanger Steak & Salmon mains, you can’t beat the food here. The service, though polite, came up short on promptness and attention to detail. Having to ask the hostess to get a waiter to serve us, having to ask for water and serving food and not noticing that the person has no cutlery is definitely not cool. Hence 4 vs 5 stars. Overall because of the food, it’s a NO brainer, we’ll be back. It’s worth the drive from Sarasota!

Sure, it's a bit of a splurge, but who cares? It's amazing! Try The burrata toast you won't regret it! It's so fresh! Also my husband said the salmon he had was the best he's ever had in his life! My kids ate their whole kids meals, that says a lot because they never finish anything.

The restaurant is so cool and eclectic outside and inside and our waitress, Mallerie, was so friendly! The menu is simple but PACKED with flavor and fun ingredient combos - I had a grilled cheese with fig jam! We also tried their Zeppole with butternut jam, burnt honey, and ricotta... YUM!! Fun place, friendly staff, freaking awesome food - I will be coming back!

ON SWANN is of my favorite restaurants of all time. I have been a returning customer since 2016 and have never had a disappointing experience. Chic decor is beautiful and I love the vibe when I come in to dine there. I really enjoy their seasonal items, but some of my favorite classics are: Scallops, Ribeye and Kale Salad. My husband loves their Pork Chop. I treated my friend from California by bringing her here and she liked it a lot as well. I have visited this restaurant for lunch, brunch and dinner on various occasions and it is a pleasant experience each and every time. Fantastic job from managers as their staff is always on point. Highly recommend this sophisticated spot!

Really enjoyed this meal. Over ate at every step, but it was worth it. The building is really cool and in a great location. The foie appetizer is delicious. Mussels had a ton of flavor. Arancini were super good. The steak frites and scallop entrees were very good. Great service and good cocktails. Agree with other reviews that it is loud, but not a big deal.

Chris Ponte, inarguably one of the top Executive Chefs in the bay area, has another home run with ON SWANN. Although they recently celebrated their fifth anniversary, their menu and level of service has never faltered. Pictured here, was our amazing lunch: a gourmet Cuban sandwich, truffle fries and tomato bisque. Everything goes better with wine. :) Today, Mallerie provided outstanding service- as did Nick, who was fresh out of training. Kudos to Chef de Cuisine, Chris Schelin. We eagerly await Chef Ponte's new concept to open in Midtown.

Very good food. They do cater to vegetarian and gluten free diets (just ask). Their salads are amazing. We had a charcuterie board as an appetizer too. They didn't make my mojito right but did bring me syrup to sweeten it. My husband made a mistake ordering their large steak that feeds 2 to three people, so he had lots of steak to take home, but he said it was delicious though very pricey (over $100). The cauliflower appetizer was also good! I wish they would take reservations for smaller parties, because the seating outside was uncomfortable, given my tailbone injury and my husband being on crutches.

He made all my choices for me because I could not decide. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! To start have the hot chicken!!! Pictured is the hot chicken appetizer, short ribs pasta, Steak frites medium, bone marrow w/ chimi churri fries and side salad. Nestled in Hyde Park, one of the cutest neighborhoods in Tampa. Great atmosphere, professional and friendly service, wonderful food. We had thier most popular dish - the Kale Salad; Salmon atop the best Israeli couscous I've had (probably because of the light curry sauce); the Grilled cheese crunchy, gooey, tangy and savory (blame it on pruciuto & fig fig combo they use) with pommel fries. The Iced green tea is a must try to accompany your lunch.

I came to On Swann for the first time today, the arancini and the kale salad were so good. The service was the best part, the bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was able to meet the Asstiant GM Grant and he is such a nice person, so attentive. I will most definitely come back!

While on vacation in Florida recently my boss wanted to give my Mother and I an early X - Mas gift and sent us here for lunch . I'm glad he did !!! The whole experience was GREAT , we were greeted at the door and sat quickly , the manager came over and introduced himself and answered any questions we had and our waiter was the BEST we've both ever had !!! Needless to say our lunch of mussels appetizer ( again best and that's hard to say coming from a New Englander ) , chicken sandwich & sirloin burger for our mains were 5 star !!! My Mom only had a glass of wine ( driving ) but again our waiter Justin helped her in the right direction . I had my usual of Kettle One and tonic with lemon but I'm not sure what tonic they used but it was SOOO good !!! So good in fact that when Justin asked if we wanted desert I told him another of those !!! LOL So if you are in the Hyde Park area of Tampa do yourself a favor and try On Swann ... Thanks again to all that helped . I wanted to make sure that our waiter got the credit due I originally put his name as " Jeremy ", my bad , I work with a Jeremy !!! LOL

Another chef Ponte creations. It’s very popular and using the valet parking is a wise decision. Our server, Todd, was super! He was very helpful and carefully guided our gluten intolerant diner to make the best decisions. The food was excellent as expected, but I hope he changes the menu with the seasons or offers a couple of specials to avoid food boredom. ThaT was our only problem with his earlier venue, Cafe Ponte, which lacked menu variety. Still, On Swann is outstanding.

On Swann! There are 2 main reasons people go out to eat: because being in a hurry or they are looking for a place that cooks better than they can. And On Swann is the latter; they can cook! Every dish was amazing. We tried the different courses below and I can honestly tell every one of them were delicious. The chef and the whole culinary team know what they’re doing. The service was really good and worked as a team. Definitely I’m returning and I’m letting all my friends know about On Swann. Enjoy!

First time in Tampa and a colleague of mine suggested this place. We had a great time. Our server, Orlando walked the extra mile to be sure that we had a good experience. The arancinis set a good start up, followed by the scallops with Brussels sprouts were all very delicious. The portion was perfect to leave some space for the super rich chocolate cake with a bit of an orange kick and the bread pudding. I really liked that none of the desserts were too sweet. Julius meinl tea and coffee are served and I have not seen that brand for a while so it was refreshing to see that. I appreciated that they did NOT bring straws without even telling them. You do not need it. The place has a good vibe, the music was nice (maybe a bit too loud). Overall highly recommended! Ps there cocktails are also worth to try ;)

Good food and service in an industrial modern atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. There is a bar area for seating and a restaurant area with both high and low top tables. The inside has high ceilings and no real walls to absorb sound so it can get loud inside when it's busy. The lunch and dinner menu's vary but there is a good variety of dishes. We ordered the burger and the BLTA with pomme frites. The food came out quickly even though it was pretty busy and it was hot and fresh. The bacon on the BLTA was done just perfect, not to crisp and not to soft. The burger was done just as requested and the pomme frites were crispy and hot.

Delicious food and ambience. I came around peak hour (7ish) and had to wait for 45 mins. But they have a text system so I just walked around the shops in the area. I had the oysters, lamb meatball and fig tart for starters. They’re amazing. I would really recommend either the oyster and lamb if you only want one starter. The cobia risotto was good but I would say the starters are way better. The cocktails well made and were awesome. Keith was my server and he was great. Service is great! Would recommend anyone to come if they are in the area.

Girls Night Out for 2! We shared the: Pimento Dip, Kale Salad, Pizette & Hot Chicken. WOW! All of the dishes were amazing. This was my second time there. We shared a ton of starters & apps and we had no room left for the Pizette! Everything was so delicious. They were definitely busy on a Saturday night but we were seated at the community table and did not have anyone sitting directly next to us. The service was great! Our server was attentive and kind.

We've been wanting to eat here for weeks but knew it gets packed and wasn't in Open Table. So to our surprise On Swann started two new things as of typing this. One, they're on Open Table. Two, they're serving lunch now (At least on the weekends). The ambience is similar to what a lot of these new modern/rustic places have been looking like. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and had good recommendations. The Saffron Arancini reminded us of fried mac and cheese ball but with rice. The chicken sandwich was simple but very tasty. The potato chips it came with were very crispy but not oily at all. The Heirloom Salad was fresh and healthy. Heads up on it, it's literally all tomatoes just different types. The Blueberry Cobbler was a good mix of sweet and tart and was topped with a vanilla gelato. Finally, my Honey It's Thyme was a refreshing Bourbon based cocktail. We're definitely returning here for a dinner meal.

Very cool atmosphere, good food and servers soend their time reviewing the menu and helping you make the best decision. Lamb meatballs were tasty, especially the polenta they were with. I've had better bread pudding - probably wouldn't order again. Whipped ricotta corn dip - I couldn't get enough!!! So good. Fig Tart was good, but hard to cut and eat with all the green on top. Steak Frites was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Bone marrow was Devine - especially with the Frites. Although I wasn't a fan of the shallots-cabernet butter. Hot chicken was good, especially with the honey flavor to counter the spiciness. Very tender she crispy. All together an enjoyable meal! Would recommend reservations or getting there early as it filled up on a random Tuesday!

"On Swann" is one of the many upscale dinner options in Hyde Park Village. While eating their trademark burger (made with dry aged beef, pimento cheese, crispy bacon, pickled red onions and an aioli sauce), I saw an order of pork chops cross my field of view. It was love at first sight. While the burger was excellent, I was excited to come back and try out their pork chop entree. Fast forward a few weeks and I returned to eat their signature pork chop: a double chop with apple mostarda, hazelnut, acorn squash, green beans, and a side of white mill grits. It's perfection. During my pork chop adventure, I saw yet another dish come across my view for which I have to return for a third time to try. For those looking for a fancy place to splurge for a celebration or anniversary or just to treat yourself, On Swann is a good $$$$ category candidate.

I visited with a group of six who dined on the patio right after opening and we were quickly seated. This was my first experience and it was great! Their hot chicken was amazing! I ordered the Short Rib and my husband ordered the burger. Their Short Rib was a unique dish that was a mix between stroganoff and roast- it was amazing! Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal and I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices were. We will definitely be back!

For me, not as good as its reputation. My grilled cheese sandwich with fig jam was nothing special. The bread dominated a little too much with a bit too hard crusty graininess to it. I found the ambiance so so. Service was fine. The crowd was toward upper scale trendy. Price was I guess ok. Menu was fairly limited. I liked that they overfilled my glass with appetizing looking ice cubes.

What a great spot to take a load off. My wife and I decided to have a few drinks after seeing a movie at Cinebistro. It was a Saturday night and busy, but the hostess was able to seat us outside. The weather was amazing. This is a great community to spend a night checking out the shops. I ordered a house special old fashioned and my wife had a glass of wine. The old fashioned was an interesting twist on my favorite drink. We were full but decided we needed to try some of the food in this place. We had the deviled eggs and tuna appetizer. The deviled eggs had bits of bacon and what appeared to be bits of arugula. There were 5 halves. Tasted great. The tuna was great. Had a great flavor and great presentation. I thought is was a rather small serving, but I was full and it was plenty. Gabriel was our waiter. He was very attentive and seemed to know the menu. The only negative I can think of was the machinery on the other side of the street. It was a little annoying, but obviously not the restaurant's fault. Check this place out you'll love it.

The service is super friendly, and the menu has options to please all tastes. We picked while munching on the fresh bread basket Mushroom toast: roasted mushroom over sourdough bread and topped with a fried egg, tasty and great portion Kale salad without bacon and corn: the fresh touch to our brunch Omelette with hollandaise sauce which pleased my Brother in law wonderfully And the kids were more than happy with their crispy chicken tenders and fries. This is a great place to eat! The food and service were both top-notch from start to finish. My steak was perfectly cooked, and the meatballs and onions rings were everything I could ask for in an appetizer for our dinner date night. You can't go wrong when ordering either--they have something that will please everyone at your table (even those picky eaters). Their prices are reasonable given the high-quality ingredients used... Enjoyed a delightful brunch. On Swann is a beautiful chic space without pretension. The hostess staff is friendly despite being incredibly busy. Have eaten here several times and enjoyed everything, other than the brussell sprouts left a bit wanting on that. But make no mistake they serve fantastic food. Most recently, I had the beef carpacio and chicken tenders. The beef was fantastic, possibly the best I have had. The tenders were not at all what I expected, they had a great crust, very juicy, and the dipping sauce was amazing..these are not your normal tenders. No dessert this time, but have had their bread pudding and it is a must if you have room. I sat at the bar and service was great. No complaints from this customer.

This is the 2nd time I’ve been for lunch and it was wonderful! The cocktails are incredible and the waitress and kitchen were very accommodating to my gluten free diet. The first time I had gone I was not gluten free and the charcuterie board was fabulous. This time around I got the kale salad, truffle fries and BLT with tomato soup and it was all delicious. Highly recommend!

I’ve been by this spot before a quick bite at the bar so I decided to come back and sit down for lunch. I know this place is recommended by Michelin guide and what not but it’s simply “alright”. The drinks are reasonably priced, the Swangria coming in at $10/glass - not bad. Nowww let’s get to the starter. We ordered the cheese board which included 4 varieties of cheeses…cheese mongers, do not hold your breath (and eat your cheese before arriving). Because the portions of cheese served on the board are about an ounce each and feel like they need to be rationed amongst the table. It served with accoutrements (AKA 5 almonds, 2 dates and a single dried apricot). The salads here are tasty though so if you want something light but tasty this isn’t a bad spot. Staff is nice and friendly too!

My husband and I had a wonderful meal there. We started with "foie gras butter fig jam truffle financiers" as appetizer. It was absolutely delicious. It came with a small jar of foie gras butter with a layer of fig jam on top, and 4 small pieces of financiers. I literally finished whole jar of butter, which may not be so wise to do considering all the grease sitting in my stomach before I even started the entree. The two entrees (pork chop and scallop) were amazing! It's not easy to have two WOW dishes for both of us at one time. The pork chop was tender and flavorful (maybe because of the part of the meat connected to the bone?). The scallops were very tender too. It went so well with the creamy sauce, roasted Brussels sprouts, fried kale and bacon bites. This is definitely one of the fine restaurants to go in Tampa with very reasonable price.

Brought my boyfriend here for his first time and had an amazing experience. For one our server AnnMarie was amazing! She was so knowledgeable on the menu and checked in on us the perfect amount. I even asked her to pick out a drink for me and she chose the perfect one. I would one thousand percent ask for her as your server when you come in. Overall food was amazing and the rest of the staff worked together well to clear our table and bring all drinks/food.

Upscale casual restaurant. Noisy/chatty acoustics, which made it a bit difficult to carry on a conversation, but manageable. Most of the patrons are young to middle age. Lively, bright atmosphere with open kitchen. Excellent food, wait staff, food runners, and management. Dishes are served tapas style, hot, and with good presentation. All of the dishes are fresh and have distinct flavors (verses just salt and pepper). You may not exactly agree what the chef is making, but you can tell what he was going for. A nice touch is whenever a new dish is placed on the table, the presenter describes the dish. A very fun culinary experience. Service is excellent, servers/food runners/manager are very attentive, informative, polite, and competent. Servers are quick to anticipate your needs. Dirty dishes are removed in a timely fashion so as to not overcrowd the table. Note, the tables are small and you sit very close to other patrons. Overall, one of our favorite restaurants in the Tampa Bay area.

Wonderful! The food makes me think of a Parisian restaurant, but there’s more light and space here than in Paris. The bread pudding is to-die-for. I have tried breakfast, lunch and dinner here, and all of it is fabulous. There’s an adorable patio and the whole vibe is rustic-swanky. The service is excellent and very fast. Love this place! Apparently, the owners opened another place in Tampa called “Oak and Ola” which I also can’t wait to try.

I really want to give this place 4 stars, but can’t. Staff is very attentive and courteous. Food & atmosphere was a small disappointment. Nice, but really non-descript and extremely loud. Definitely not one of the best places to eat in the Tampa Bay Area, but not terrible either. My girlfriend and I started off with the cheese board which captivated our minds and melted our mouths, but we found it to be lacking the most important part – cheese. A 25$ cheese board should have a lot of …well, cheese. Our server was wonderful and helpful; she talked us into starting with the cheese board before making final decision on main course, which proved wise. While lacking a lot of cheese, the board had plenty of things to nibble on and we were well on our way to being stuffed by main course ordering time. We both decided on the Hamburger, both medium well – no pink. Our original selections (Chicken & Pork) we thought were too much for our stomachs. To our surprise the burgers were undercooked with plenty of pink and greasy. I think we both went from 4 stars to 3 at this point. As wanna-be food critics, we were actually surprised at the lack of it all. My girlfriend kept relating her experience to that of a Carrabba's. The more I think about it, the more I think she is right. I had a Mai Tai which I found to be a delightful surprise. The fries were overcooked, but still good. Overall I think we both found On Swann to be a well marketed hipster place that we enjoyed visiting, but have no future plans to visit again. As for recommending this place, I am on the fence. I enjoyed our night out, and we had been dying to try it, but felt like one of 10 other high-end restaurants around the area would be better in the future. If you want the hipster badge of “I went to this place” than I think you will not be disappointed, but if you want to indulge in some of the best eating around, On Swann is definitely not the place to be. Hope this helps your stomach.

When I pointed it out, the waitress did bring a replacement piece of cheese. Lamb meatballs were ok, but on the dry side. 3 companions had the pasta with short rib ragu and enjoyed it. Wrong cobbler was delivered, but good. Bread pudding was delicious.

Our server, from PCB area, was PHENOMENAL. His appreciation and love of both food and beverage was contagious. He never skipped a beat or made us feel rushed. Bravo to him. The manager was very kind but no lasting impression. Now, open air kitchens are beautiful and fun BUT we hear and see everything. That's their only downfall. One of our dishes needed to go back and both server and the manager were kind and understanding about it. As for the chef, we clearly understood his opinion about having food sent back. Simply, the food wasn't cooked to the guest's liking and it doesn't matter what that liking is, the chef shouldn't voice his opinion where any guest could hear. That's unprofessional and the only reason they won't get 5 stars. Yes, the manager was standing there as well but didn't stop it either. I'd go back but if it came between here and trying a new place, just from the negative comments regarding sending our food back alone, I'd try the new restaurant.

The only down side were that the high top chairs were not comfortable at all (metal seating with no real back support). My elderly aunt uses a walker to get around so Sara led us to a table that was easy and convenient for her. We were served by a delightful young lady named Skye. She was so attentive and helpful with our menu choices. Our food arrived freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The Ragu was yummy, my Steak Frittes was perfectly cooked for my taste, and the Roasted Cauliflower was the bomb. We lingered at our table with coffee after dinner feeling relaxed and satisfied. We will definitely return to On Swann on our next trip to Tampa.

20/10 would recommend On Swann. My husband and I both have pretty complicated food allergies (he is celiac, so GF but also nut free, and I am gluten and dairy free) and On Swann’s staff was always knowledgeable (we ate here twice because of how happy we were) and they were able to accommodate us no problem. He has their burger with a gf bun and said it was one of the best burgers he’d ever had, even including the regular burgers he’s had before being gluten free. The presentation is great, wonderful wines, cute atmosphere but more than anything the food was fantastic. Highly recommend this restaurant while in the Tampa area

The food was okay and the level of customer service was not there. Very disappointed. Also, the parking spaces is very limited. Hopefully it will be better next time.

We thoroughly enjoy this restaurant!! First of all, the customer is intrigued immediately upon entry. The decor is excellent and inviting, making the experience additionally welcoming... All senses engaged!!! The staff and bartender go above and beyond to make this eating establishment an unforgettable choice. The tricky part of and restaurant for vegans is a delicious food experience. Often restaurants are sub-par with the final product. For best results, call ahead and let the cook know you're vegan. Adaptations to the menu are doable. We had roasted cauliflower, roasted Brussels sprouts and roasted mushrooms in a pasta dish. I can't stand cauliflower and barely appreciate Brussels sprouts. No longer. I'm a believer that these veggies are truly delicious!!! The wine selection is excellent, pricey but excellent. Cabs are fantastic. Our company enjoyed the mixed drinks and martini. Everyone should try On Swann at least once. It won't disappoint!! Just come after payday. Expect to leave with $40 per person, them add drinks and dessert. We'll be back for certain!!

This was my first visit to On Swann based on a recommendation. I had an idea of what to expect and came here for the Steak Frites. I was NOT disappointed. The flavor was exquisite and perfectly cooked. My wife had the short rib pasta and I loved the bites I stole. Our server, Sammy, was perfect. She was attentive, funny, and made the experience one to remember. I will ask for her specifically in the future. If I had one complaint it would be that the drinks are a little pricey. Came to On Swann for a birthday dinner. We were early for our reservation but got seated right away. The man who seated us walked us through the menu and gave us lots of recommendations. I tried a specialty cocktail, the walnut maple old fashioned, and it was delicious! We got some items from the appetizers section of the menu, and they came spaced out so we could enjoy each of them on their own. That actually great because we got the tuna and chicken fingers - an unusual combination if they had come out together! My scallop entree was perfect! Couldn’t have asked for a better birthday dinner. They surprised me with a dessert with a candle in it, too. The staff there was incredible. Very friendly and happy to help. It was such a great night!

Hyde Park village has always been one of my favorite places in the Tampa Bay area, so having the opportunity to visit On Swann for my birthday was a treat! The restaurant was easy to find and off street parking and complimentary parking is available in the deck loacated at the cross street of Oregon and Swann. The restaurant has an industrial yet chic decor. The space was used wisely and there is also outdoor seating available. The staff is prompt and super friendly, the food was very simple, delicious, and reasonably priced. Most importantly their bathroom was clean! Last, after you finish your meal , right around the corner there are plenty of retail shops to peruse and there's going to be a new Nike store right across the street from the restaurant. I highly recommend On Swann.

The Mussels, Fig Tart, Rague, and Scallops looked and tasted wonderful. Yes we shared each!

Having recently moved to Tampa, my sister (who's been here for years) has slowly be introducing me to all the great places the area has to offer and man was On Swann a treat. We went for lunch and it was comfortably socially distanced, we choose to sit up at the bar, and I was happy to see all employees wearing masking and compliance among the patrons as well. The atmosphere was gorgeous, loved a lot of the decorations and ambiance and lighting. Service was top notch and Gabe handled our food and drink order, taking time to answer any questions we had. The food was delicious, we had the pimento cheese dip and Gabe so kindly provided us with extra chips, the zeppoli's were sweet and flavorful with the ricotta and honey dip and then I got the butternut squash soup which was heavenly. I was told my my sister, and Gabe, that the real treat was their dinner pork chops so I'll definitely be making a repeat visit to try that. Great place and I highly recommend!

Before coming into town I knew that this place had hype for being one of the top kitchens in TPA. I called before hand to make sure we could be accommodated (2). We arrived at 7:30 before the 8:00 walk in time as nicely advised by the hostess. The worst part about the dining experience was watching 4-6 dirty tables sit empty while we drank and laughed about the availability for over an hour at the bar. The bartender was awesome, poured heavy, and eventually walked over to see what the heck was taking so long to wipe down the table (thanks for actually getting us in immediately no less!) Like I said, bar was awesome. They seem pretty crafty in the cocktails with some of them being invented in house by the employees. I was also told that the ginger liqueur was homemade but didn't get the chance to try it. Give it a shot next time. For food, I ordered the pork chop and my date ordered the burger. She said the burger was good but fries were cold. Kind of what you would expect for fries at 9:00 at night no blame there. What was extremely disappointing was watching all these picture perfect double chops come out only to recieve a single chop. The server said it just weighed the same so it's the same but that wasn't the point to me. I can cook a single chop but a double was definitely worth the 30$ for me to try without messing up that difficult cooking. Unfortunately, I'll have to try it again at the next steak/chophouse. Kale salad seems to be the go to on the menu at this place just from the volume observed coming out of the kitchen on a Monday night.

Had the most amazing experience, our waiter Gary was knowledgeable and so friendly he recommended some on the most memorable dishes iv had in a while. We had the mushroon toast, chicken sandwich, the salmon which is to die for and had it with the kale salad. To finish off we had the bread pudding. I sincerely believe that anything you order from this place will knock your socks off. Oh and to drink we had the white sangria will get you feeling good quick! My wife and I went here for dinner last night as we hadn't been back since the pandemic started. We're certainly happy we made our way back. Everything we ordered was fantastic from the wild mushroom toast, the aroncini, the beet salad (best dish of the night), the fig tart, the hot chicken, and beef carpaccio. We ended up taking our Mahi and dessert bread pudding to go. Service was exceptional and we wanted to give a big shout out to Sarah for her attention to detail and awesome personality. Best dining experience I have had in a while. The food was excellent, especially the kale salad and the bread pudding, as a lot of other reviewers have mentioned. Our server Trina did a fantastic job of recommending items and making sure we felt well taken care of. Service was very on point but still had a relaxed feel to it. There are plenty of higher end restaurants where the service is so stiff and formal it's almost overbearing, but that was not the case here. The following day my wife was already planning the next trip back.

This is my favorite restaurant in Tampa. The food is creative, fresh and delicious. I had an asparagus soup, scallops over pureed carrots and a chocolate cake with orange marmalade that was Divine and left me thinking about it for days. I'm also a huge fan of their freshly baked bread. Me mother in law has sorry ribs that she said were perfectly seasoned and delicious. My husband's meal was a light pasta dish that was savory and again perfectly made. The wait staff is superb! They work together as a team and no glass is left empty and plates are removed quickly. The atmosphere is lively and they seem to attract a hip crowd. You won't go wrong eating here.

We love Olivia, so we decided it was a great opportunity to check out On Swann. Sadly it wasn’t the same experience. The pizzette was extremely sweet it was bathed in honey, completely out of balance, you couldn’t taste anything else. The zeppole had no salt, the dough was amazing tho. The burger, same story, no salt no flavour at all, not even the fries had salt! We saw the table next to us complaining about the same thing. The dessert on the other hand was a delight, just amazing! And also the server, Maddison, she was a gem, made the whole experience better.

This is a case where our experience went from terrible to absolutely immaculate! We love this restaurant, the food and service has always been excellent, which is why i reserved dinner for my husbands birthday. This particular night started out surprisingly bad, our waiter, who shall remain nameless, got EVERYTHING wrong! I’m not exaggerating when i say this. Within the first 15 mins, he got 10 things wrong with our table from forgetting several things ordered (drinks and appetizers) and when reminded about them, the response was as if he was hearing about the order for the first time. Took everyone’s order but mine, forgot several things we asked for, when i finally ordered my appetizer i never got it, i could honestly go on about how bad it was but this is suppose to be a good review. I have never thought of myself as a complainer or a “Karen” so to speak. But this was honestly not a night i wanted to be ruined from the waiters service. We chalked it up to him having an off night and possibly sick… but here is where it all turns around, i went to the hostess and asked to talk with the Manager for a min. Josh, our savior, came over. I just was honest with him about our experience so far and we had only just put our entree orders in and that i had never requested this before but we would like to ask for a new waiter. I told him everything and he heard me out and was very surprised at what i told him. He appropriately met with the waiter and ended up sending him home for the rest of the night and personally took over all his tables. Josh was literally a night in shining armor! It turned out to be the best service we had ever had at on swan, he was so attentive, very personable and just really made it an experience for us. (We really are not hard people to please) I could not be happier with how our dinner turned out. Josh handled a lot on our bill which was completely unexpected and so appreciated and we gave him a good tip which he really hope goes to him! We are business people and all very successful and this was such a refreshing experience to see a manager so professionally handle the situation and decide to take the negative and make it into a positive, we will absolutely be back time and time again! Josh, know wonder you are the manager! Very well done and we can’t wait to be back!

Nice array of creative choices on the menu and a sleek atmosphere make for a very good experience. Inside gets quite loud (overly loud) when house is full thanks to the acoustics of the space but if you choose to sit outside during good weather it is a great options for a more intimate meal. Service is professional and on par with where it should be at a restaurant of this level.

We have close friends who have often suggested we go here but we’ve discouraged the choice because of their all meat menu (fish meat, pig meat, cow meat). Nevertheless, we finally went. Imagine our surprise when, on hearing my wife’s requests our waitress told us of the two Secret plant- based meals!! All of us at the table agreed that her roasted vegetables in a sauce dish was Scrumptious! WHY is this a secret? Eating healthy is being discouraged? There are lots of folks besides myself who want this food (during its trial run 90% of people who ordered the Impossible Whopper were meat eaters).

Delicious. We skipped the main course and just kept ordering from the appetizer/small plate menu. Everything was wonderful and the waiter gave us very accurate descriptions of everything we ordered to make sure we were getting what we wanted. The wait staff had a great teamwork vibe and several servers were involved in delivering food and bussing plates so we never had to wait long for anything. My cocktail was also wonderful. My husband's cocktail was very spicy (he liked it, but it wasn't my cup of tea). Great chic vibe, but as others mentioned, it is quite loud.

Came for brunch on a Sunday. I had the French toast, although I had it with no bananas and no Nutella, as I can’t stand either one. It didn’t need all that in my opinion. It was delicious with just the maple bourbon sauce and pecans. We also had some fries which were good but the best part was the chocolate chip cookies. I have no idea how they make them so thick. They were warm and delicious. I really liked the atmosphere here. The weather was nice so we sat outside.

Food was delicious (I had the breakfast biscuit and their crispy chicken sandwich). Waitress was pleasant. HOWEVER, the hostess was rude to us upon arrival to the restaurant. And, she sat us at the communal table at a spot with extremely bright sunlight beaming straight into our faces. It was uncomfortable to even look up to talk to my partner the whole time (there were many other empty tables available in the shade the entire time we were there). Also, that communal table has extremely uncomfortable chairs. They do not conform to the contours of the human body. My partner and I were sliding off our seats the entire time and couldn’t relax to enjoy our meals. It was a shame because the food was great.

Went here for a date night last night. Our server Gage made the experience for us. He is what every server should be. The food was amazing too. We had the zeppole (the corn dip is addictive) their fries, my husband got the pork chops (in his words, he could’ve lived in the apple sauce on top. Also the grits were incredible!) then I had the lobster Mac special. It was loaded with chunks of lobster and had a light taste to it. Lastly.. the strawberry/blueberry cobbler.. in our servers words, “tastes like fruity pebbles” if fruity pebbles had real fruit and an amazing crumby topping. the only downside I would say is it was really loud and slightly crowded with the seating which caused me to get bumped a few times by some servers and people trying to get thru.. a few times our server had to walk away when we were ordering just so people could leave. Overall though, the food and the service would definitely bring us back.

Farmers plate was pretty good but the toast given is difficult to handle without it falling apart and the homemade pate was left wanting for flavor. Finally made it to On Swann and really enjoyed dining there for our anniversary. The service was great and our server Nicholas went above and beyond to please us... especially after he found out about our anniversary. The atmosphere was cool, the decor is great and most importantly the food was delicious. Everything that we ordered was cooked to perfection and the main dish (short rib pasta) was to die for. The wine was good too and they seem to have a descent wine and cocktail selection. I can't wait to go back and will with no doubt recommend to friends.

My must-order dishes are the farm board, kale salad, mushrooms, short rib & hot chicken although, I've never had a bad meal there ever. Great wine selection as well. I'm in town for a short visit. I've never been to Tampa so I felt like exploring. We tried to get a table at two other restaurants and were told to expect an hour wait - even when I made an open table reservation. I don't live here so I used every opportunity to move to a new location. Which brings me to On Swann. This place was a pleasant surprise. From the moment I pulled into the lot, the valet was out going and very personable. I stepped into the packed restaurant and asked for a table knowing we wouldn't get seated immediately but something felt very different than the other restaurants. We decided to order a few cocktails that turned out to be well worth the trip alone. Dinner far exceeded our expectations. The staff was amazing - I always appreciate honest recommendations. Long story short, I loved my dining experience! I don't know when I'll be in Tampa again but I'll be sure to drop by the next time I'm in town.

Upscale casual place. We sat at the bar for a bit, the local elephant foot IPA was nice. Dinner was good. Service was excellent. I had the hangar steak which was delicious. We had an excellent time at On Swann for an early Valentine's Day dinner. We made reservations for 9, since that is the best they had when my husband called 3 days in advance, but we got there 45 minutes early and they were able to sit us right away. The decor was rustic and beautiful, very well done. The menu was small, but everything we tried was delicious. For appetizers, we had the arrancini, fig and prosciutto pizza, and the zeppole. Everything was well done, but we most enjoyed the zeppole, which were savory and out of this world delicious. My husband LOVED the rice balls. For our entrees we had the short rib ragi - mine, and so good! The husband had steak fries, also delicious. For dessert our superb server, Vince, recommended the profiteroles, and boy was he right on the money. Yum! We wanted for nothing - Vince was on top of his game, and there was no shortage of managers making sure no one went without. We had an excellent conversation with Kyle, the manager. He was so funny and personable, if he wasn't working we would have invited him to sit down and eat with us! In summary, On Swanns food was a major win, but their service and friendly attitude is what will keep us coming back. All the way from Clearwater.

Fantastic service from our server Holton. Cocktails took a long time to arrive even though the restaurant was pretty dead. I had the chartreuse one, my husband had the negroni, which was extremely watery, i guess cause it was served over ice, which seems an odd choice for a negroni. The rice in the arancini were the wrong texture, but otherwise good flavor. The farm platter was probably the best thing we ordered. Wasn't wild about two of the cheese selections but otherwise delicious. We were pretty full at that point but decided to order small plates anyway. My husband had the fig tart, which wasn't a tart at all which surprised us, it was more like a flatbread or pizza. It was ok. I ordered the lamb meatballs. The risotto was ok, some of it wasn't fully cooked and was crunchy, the flavor was good. The meatballs were over spiced and difficult to chew. I wouldn't return for dinner but would consider for lunch.

I thought the food was very good, went with a couple and we ordered two or three appetizers before our entrees. The appetizer that stood out most was the Hot Chicken. Really really recommend that one, but they were all good. The service is quick and is good. For us, being three and immediately sat next to a window (I think we had a last minute reservation though), the noise level was fine. And probably is tolerable for most of who goes there to dine by the looks of it (25-45 year old young professional types who probably live in the Hyde Park/South Tampa area), but it is LOUD. Don't go for an intimate date, even though the menu is perfect for such. Don't go if you hate loud restaurants, or being around that kind of crowd in that kind of [good but expensive] restaurant. Overall I definitely recommend it, but the chances of you having a dinner that you fully enjoy is higher if you are hearing about it and/or are invited to join friends there, rather than if you go to eat at restaurants based on online reviews. This was a place where the couple I went with, who live two blocks away, knew half the place. They are 27/30 years old. That's about all I can say to that point, but heed it.

Disappointing experience. It was my birthday two days ago and we chose On Swann because it's been great in the past and they had outdoor seating. To start, the restaurant was packed, much more than allowed by local regulations due to COVID. They sat us next to a party of four within 2-3 feet. We ordered shishito peppers and our drinks off the limited menu. We asked for bread and butter for the table while we waited. Time went by and we ended up asking 3 more times for the bread over the next HOUR. When it finally came we received the end of a loaf cut into three pieces. It had been an hour and the waitress hadn't even asked for our entree order, yet she quickly stopped by the table of frat bros behind us when another one of their friends arrived to take his drink order, while ignoring us. As we sat and waited, we watched multiple orders get delivered to wrong tables, the kitchen staff looking confused, and a manager getting frustrated. At that point we asked for the check. A manager was kind enough to apologize and comp the check and offer us a coupon for a return visit. We quickly called Bern's steakhouse, which we somehow got a reservation, and even ended up getting our favorite waiter. The On Swann service staff were pleasant but super inefficient and the restaurant staff as a whole was a hot mess to say the least. Advice going forward, don't choose this place for special occasions, leave it to professional restaurants.

Overall the food and wine were good. However, we had a reservation and we were seated by the kitchen. We asked for another table because we saw other tables available. The hostess would not allow us to sit at another table. It was very loud with kitchen noises and servers passing by us. The restaurant was already loud due to the open concept. It was difficult to hold a conversation and even the waitress had difficulty hearing us when placing our order.

Great place. We order a ton of appetizers and skip the entree all together. We've had it all basically and it's all very good. Service is excellent and the cocktails are great, but a little pricey for what they are. I highly recommend visiting!

I have only had the opportunity to eat here at lunch and brunch and the food was fantastic both times. The atmosphere is cute and clean and the food is full of flavor. We did try to go for dinner once as their website indicated that they take limited reservations and are mostly on a first-come first-served basis, however we were turned away when they stated that they had reservations for the rest of the night and couldn't take a walk in (this was about 7pm). I'm hoping that we can eventually get in for dinner some time because that menu looks great too!

Great food and atmosphere but at a price. I live in the neighborhood and although I have heard from others that On Swann was special, I just got around to trying it. The pork chop was outstanding and the grits and vegetables delicious. Wine selection was extensive and the decor is bright and open. Just be prepared for the cost....great for special occasions.

Love this restaurant for so many reasons. Excellent food and service with a great relaxed atmosphere. But then they go above and beyond! We live an hour away so this is our go to place when we pick up someone from the airport. Was there in May with my sister and although everything was great we had a small hiccup. Her salmon was abit uncooked in the middle and so just asked the server to take it to the kitchen to cook through a bit more. Instead, they make her an entire new dish. However, it took almost 15 minutes and by the time it came she was not hungry anymore and I had finished my food. We simply asked them to wrap it up for us and instead the manager came over and apologized profusely and then proceeded to take the meal off our bill and give us 2 comps for meals whenever we liked. Unbelievable and totally unnecessary. Today my husband and I came in for the 2 meal comps and what happens, the manager comes over and is so attentive and sweet and then comps us everything except one dessert. This is first class customer care and although totally unexpected or necessary highly impressive and appreciated. I am so sorry I do not remember the managers name but she was the same person from May and could not have been more professional or attentive. Thank you On Swann, you run a great business and it is clear the owners know what they are doing. We will be back again and always recommend you to people looking for a wonderful restaurant experience.

I dined for lunch at this darling little neighbourhood spot. I am visiting parents from Colorado - as my mother is very ill. I ended up talking to the waiter who was like an old friend. I felt completely at home, sitting outside on their beautiful patio. I had the BLT, (w avo) French fries and a side salad with light lemon vinaigrette The food was absolutely outstanding. I forgot how perfect a BLT can be!

On Swann was nice. Good location at the end of the Hyde Park shopping district. Bright open space with indoor and outdoor seating. Engaging staff provide a very pleasant dining experience. The menu is not overwhelming; there are many solid menu choices that are presented well and taste great. Definitely a fine dining experience without feeling like you're in a swanking place.

What a fabulous dining experience! I sat at the bar, which was filled with locals. I can only assume that the very full restaurant was also full of locals. On Swann is the sister restaurant to Oak and Ola. The cocktails and wine list were stellar. The menu was perfectly curated to highlight seasonal, local and creative takes on classics and new ideas. The execution of each dish I tried was beyond on-point, and the service of each plate showed how much care each staff member takes to make a connection from kitchen to patron. Highly recommend!

Reminds me of dining in Sydney. We went on a impromptu date on a Friday around 8 and were seated quickly. I had the Steak Frites aka crunchy delicious fries. I asked our waiter to crack some pepper on mine. The oysters were so flavorful and he loved his burger. There was a small error on our bill but they were quick to correct it. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to return for Happy Hour.

I came in with my wife on a Tuesday night to celebrate our anniversary. Our experience was incredible. We asked our server, Trina, for all of her recommendations and her knowledge of the menu was beyond reproach. She made our anniversary perfect from the wine, appetizer, dinner and dessert. The ambiance inside is relaxing but still has a modern feel. The bathrooms are clean and you can't beat the location. If you are in the mood for great food and a fun night, I highly recommend On Swann. Be sure to ask for Trina!

This sounds funny, but I LOVED the kale salad! The hot chicken had amazing flavors with a sauce on the side that was wonderful! No worries... the chicken was not spicy. I almost didn’t eat here because the menu looked boring but WOW I’m glad I chose to stay. I may have missed out on a nice dinner, upbeat environment (without being too busy) and a comfortable place to relax after a long day. If lived closer, I would return on a regular basis! “On Swann” was “On Point”!

Never a disappointing meal. On Swann delivers consistently great meals prepared from the finest seasonally available ingredients. My wife and I have been several times for birthdays, anniversaries, and the like and this is my go-to restaurant for impressing clients. The wine selection of extensive and reasonably priced given the Hyde Park location. The menu changes frequently but the charcuterie board is always there and a must try; fair warning, it's huge, almost a meal for two, do go hungry.

We have eaten at On Swann several times. The atmosphere is always very nice. Wether you are sitting at the bar or a table, the service is excellent. On Swan has a really nice wine selection and full bar. Food is always very good with a divers menu that offers something for everyone. Reservations are a good idea on weekend nights. Great food with a great ambience. The menus is well balanced and can be eaten Tapa style if you want. We have never had a bad experience and the service has been awesome. Definitely a great option when looking to dine out in Hyde Park.

We were greeted at the door after jostling with the dirty plebs for a parking space for the Landover. Reginald, my Malamute, had to remain outside which was reprehensible given that he's an arctic dog, but that's the price you pay I suppose for eating with the rabble. I was pleased with the selection and got the butternut squash soup and steak. Both were delicious, and to my standard. I had one of the serving girls take a bowl out to Reginald as you know he gets hot in the sun, he is after all an arctic dog. Overall not bad for a restaurant that you must share space with people who might not own a private jet. OK jokes over. But for real though, served by Zach, who is a boss server. Food came out on time, hot and together and this rich old bag had a great time.

This was our first visit to On Swann. We decided it would be a g place to celebrate my birthday. Upon entering we noticed it was very cold inside. I was so glad I brought a sweater. It has been a while since we went here but the Ribeye we shared has not been topped since. It may have been the good selection of local craft beers they had that made it seem so good but the presentation was top notch as well. The appetizer was unique and delicious. We we're too full to try the deserts. The service was excellent. - If you want a good steak in Tampa try the Ribeye. It is large and expensive so sharing is suggested and expected by the staff.

I love this place! The staff has always been really friendly, and the food is great! It's definitely pricier, but that's to be expected at an upscale restaurant in Hyde Park. I recommend the kale salad, the burger, and the scallops. They are all amazing, and the kale salad and burger aren't that expensive, in comparison to the rest of the dishes. The kale salad (if memory serves me correctly) is $10 (and really big, we eat it as an appetizer for two) and the burger is $14. (again, if I remember correctly) All very good, and well worth it if you're wanting to go to a nicer restaurant! It's definitely a bit loud though, which is it's only downside.

Appetizers are delicious, the salads are fresh and creative, the cheese and meat boards are beautifully presented and filling. The main dishes are huge! Rating speaks for itself, I was already thinking of Dining here but I decided to ask our valet “what do you recommend “ he told me every other place in Hyde Park and then finished “but of course On Swann is the best here”. With that being said I will be returning again. It was a Saturday night so I called ahead asked if it was reservation only and they said no but I might expect a wait, got in and of course it was packed but they had a high table for that so we were seated at the high table (which wasn’t too uncomfortable) right away. Our service was great, scenery was great very very busy, but not crazy. Open kitchen is a great view. My server was able to recommend me some Vegan options that weren’t on the menu which were great. Next time I’ll have a reservation and maybe get a little closer to the kitchen, but I loved it. If you’re in Tampa I recommend stoping in, and take a stroll in Hyde Park.
