Reviews of Oak & Ola

Beautiful restaurant located in Armature works. Their food is delicious and presentation is amazing. I will have to say they had the most delicious pork chop I have ever had in my life, and it’s hefty too. Their roasted carrot appetizer is always a favorite. The mussel special they had was a bit underwhelming but everything else could stand on their own. Their drink selection is nice as well. We were definitely too full for dessert afterwards. Whether sitting inside or outside, there is a romantic appeal. Since we came without a reservation, indoor seating would’ve taken over a 45min wait, immediate seating was available outdoors, and they also offered bar seating which at the time did not look available for our party.

The best place by far during our entire visit to Tampa. The food was light but still filling and flavorful. The atmosphere and industrial yet elegant decor was charming. Also everyone was genuinely nice, even the manager came out to say hello. Last but not least Clayton our server was fast, attentive, friendly and informative.

Went here for brunch on a Sunday under a reservation made prior.
To start I got their cappuccino. My friend asked for iced coffee which the waiter said they did not have and then she asked for iced latte by which the waiter was confused and said they didn’t have. Lol. And so I clarified that if they have an espresso machine they should be able to make an iced latte.
The cappuccino wasn’t really a cappuccino as the milk to foam ratio was off: it had too much milk and was more of a latte, which understandably also threw off the milk to espresso ratio.
To share we got the seasonal Dutch baby pancakes which was a bit disappointing: the egg taste was a bit strong and the dish was wet. The sauced fruit on top had too much liquid and made the eggs soak up and the pancake seemed like it was sitting on a layer of liquid.
For main item I got the three egg omelette which was okay. It required a few bites before I could say it was good. The egg itself lacked seasoning, but the filling was tasty.
Overall experience was underwhelming, but I understand brunch might not be their forte. I will be back for dinner and hopefully I will be able to upgrade my rating.

Very nice experience at Oak & Ola! We had great service, our waitress Destiny was so sweet, helpful, and kind! Definitely made us feel welcomed as we were visiting downtown Tampa area.
The cheese board and charcuterie board were fabulous to pair with their wide selection of red (and white) wines. The environment is cool, rustic and modern vibes. I would recommend Oak & Ola!

While visiting Tampa I had the pleasure of having Sunday Brunch at Oak&Ola-it was beautiful weather to sit outside (they also provided a fan). Started with the zucchini bread-absolutely delicious-then the baked eggs as well as the steak and eggs. The steak melted in my mouth-seasoned beautifully. The baked eggs was a twist on what I am used to-and a delightful twist at that! They produce their own coffee line-so I indulged myself with a cappuccino with a teaspoon of honey. Very good coffee-not bitter. The star of today, though, was Emma. I couldn’t ask for a nicer server-she was attentive-knew the menu and each dish-described the dishes perfectly-she was very proper and extremely friendly. Oak&Ola should consider using Emma as a training manager-I wish every server (and I have been to very high-end restaurants) presented themselves and knew the menu and ingredients as well as Emma!

Service was 10/10, food was slightly above average (3/5), but the desert (toffee cake) was a 5/5. Compared to restaurants in DC and NYC, I thought the prices were quite expensive and the food taste didn’t live up to what I was expecting. It wasn’t horrible by any means and would certainly recommend it to others, but not high enough that I’d come back. Pork chop was a bit on the dry side and the red snapper was slightly above average but had a poor side of green beans. Staff were all excellent though. I’m a fan of trying everything once and I think it’s worth trying out for others. Perhaps it was an off day.

Delicious food and wonderful service. Destiny was a great server. We loved the pizza and calamari! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a higher end bite in Tampa! 3 of us split two pizzas and an order of fries and it was a great portion!

If you are lucky enough to have Clayton as your Server, then your experience will be nothing short of the absolute pinnacle of a dining experience. The recommendations hit perfectly, and we enjoyed our company with Clayton as much as we enjoyed the food.
Brussel sprouts, Octopus, Cauliflower & their signature dessert. I know I’m keeping the food review simple, but just know that we left happy & fulfilled and can’t wait to go back. ♥️✌️

We literally had a 4 course meal. Loved all of it. The bread pudding was so delicious it tasted like a French toast in my opinion. I really enjoyed our dinner & the atmosphere.

Great beet salad and chef’s take on a Waldorf, both were refreshing and well balanced. Ordered the burger med rare, it was med well. The octopus was really good and so was fish almondine. Service has been great both times we were there. Nice atmosphere overlooking Hillsborough river. Decent wine list as well.
