Starting with Andie she was extremely welcoming and awesome vibe. Everything was Absolutely delicious, the food came super fast and Piping hot. we came from Virginia to a quick work trip and we wanted to eat seafood from the appetizers to the mean meal e everything was fantastic.

This restaurant is great. I had the fish and chips and they were delicious. My fiancé had the blue crab which took a effort to tear apart and eat but according to him it was worth it. Will definitely be going back again soon! Our server Angie was super kind and helpful!

I'd really been wanting to have some good crab on my visit to Tampa and this place was closed by and actually had good reviews so.... Definitely made a good decision ordering takeout here! My fiance and I got the snow crab legs with the special seasoning sauce and in medium heat level. The crab was so soft and perfectly cooked and so flavorful. And that sauce or whatever they cooked the crab in.. Just beautiful! It was actually so spicy but just the right amount and it went so well with the crab; I loved it! We just both loved it! I added some of that sauce to a plain bowl of cauliflower rice no salt no nothing added to it and it really worked out well there as well. I got my fiance's sister some crab cakes and she enjoyed them too. I'm not sure why this doesn't have as many reviews on Yelp as on Google reviews but this place really is worth a try!

Food was amazing! Everything was cooked perfectly and the sauce was top notch - I asked for extra spicy one and for me it was just the right amount of seasoning. Server was very nice and helpful, they were very accommodating when we had requests with the food. This was my first seafood boil experience and they made it a great one 👌🏻

This place is the best this place is the best this place is the best nothing else needs said cuz this place is by far the best! You come here for seafood, basically all you can eat for best quality, taste, appearance, presentation, did I mention taste already? This is my second or third time here on gandy boulevard. Pictures don't do the food Justice. Lobster tails great the scallops are great shrimp is great crab legs are great the corn on the cob is great the sausage is great and the special made butter sauce is phenomenal! Drinks are good and cheap the food is definitely worth the price! Awesome atmosphere awesome vibe and and the whole appearance and decorations of this place is entertaining on its own aside from the food! Staff is super friendly super helpful, very customer oriented! They they care about your experience here and we'll go out of their way to make sure you have a great time at Mr and Mrs Crabs Joey the bartender, awesome personality from Tampa knowledgeable about the area! Ask for Joey and give this man a raise cuz he definitely deserves it! Haven't even got my food yet so all this is based on the last time I was here except for sitting at the bar right now! I already know the food is going to be delicious and I can't wait! Overall I give Mr and Mrs crabs a 99/100 rating on a scale of 1 to 10! Thank you Mr and Mrs krabs, thank you bartender Joey thank you staff! I highly recommend that everyone, my family who is here on vacation. This place has earned a loyal customer for life without even trying or breaking a sweat (except for cracking the yumm crab legs)!! Good job guys keep up the good work!

My daughter and I finally made it in and it was well worth it. I am not a drinker, but we started off with the Mr and Mrs shot, and we both liked them. My daughter got the fried shrimp 🍤 basket with waffle sweet potatoes and I ordered the fried fish 🐟 and chips. We shared back and forth what we had and so much enjoyed all. We will be back and bring her boyfriend and will try some boiled items 😋. Yummy 😂

It was ok...but I have to admit...The Crafty Crab in Brandon is so much better. I had the lunch Fried Catfish and my daughter had the Chicken tenders.. the fish was greasy and the chicken tasted like it had been fried in the same oil as the fish. The lunch was pricey considering the amount of food. Hands down I prefer The Crafty Crab.

Best seafood in a bag in town. I ordered combo A: Lobster, snow crabs and shrimp, then added boiled eggs and sausage with full works of seasoning. Absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend coming to eat here if you're in the mood for great seafood. Laid back atmosphere made it more enjoyable.

I am so glad I stopped by this place! My server was nice and super helpful! I have never peeled a blue crab before so he came to help me! I got the mixture sauce I think it was called Mr and Mrs special sauce, it was so bomb I asked him for a side to bring back to California! This sauce is so BOMB!

First time searching for seafood in Tampa, FL, I came across this seafood location that looked promising. Overall decent experience, food was nice , not the best but good. Service was decent, environment was ok.

Came here before attending a concert in Tampa. My husband and I ordered the "Just a pinch" that included 1 lb. Shrimp (Head On) , ½ lb. Crawfish, ½ lb. Green Mussels. My husband got Cajun extra hot and I got the Mr. and Mrs. Crab special which is all the seasonings combined and the spice level hot. My husband was disappointed with his as it did not taste very Cajun. The Mr. And Mrs. Crab combo seasoning, however, was AMAZING. Hot was the perfect level of spice. The head on shrimp were a little difficult to de-shell as they were pretty overcooked. The crawfish were just.. okay... The mussels were absolutely the star of this dish. We ordered a few drinks that were pretty standard. All in all, this was definitely an experience and we enjoyed our date night, but we probably won't do it again.

My husband & I was celebrating our anniversary. Our server was Mike . He was really on it. He made sure he gave us excellent service. The drinks were great. The food was beyond amazing. I wish I had the picture to show how amazing the food looked. We will definitely be back and we will definitely ask for Mike. We have went to the other location in Brandon but I must say this location in south Tampa was better. We are new to Florida so I would suggest checking out this location if you haven’t already. Great food & drinks.

I've been here several times but had to leave a review on the exceptional service our server and bartender Chris left me and my husband. We were waiting patiently to be seated, there was an older couple ahead of us that was giving Chris a hard time but he managed them professionally which I was thoroughly impressed with. As soon as we were seated, Chris came over to assist us right away and thanked us for our patience. We both had the Electric Lemonade for our happy hour drink which he made flawlessly and our meals, which I had the catfish bites, my husband had the 1/2 pound of crawfish was delicious. Chris was very attentive and courteous, we both got t-shirts and he told us if we come back on Monday wearing them we get 20% off our bill! All in all the management should be very grateful for having an exceptional employee like Chris, he's a great asset and we can't wait to come back!

Amazing food. If you aren't afraid to eat with your hands and get messy... This is your place. We went there for a date night and it was fantastic. The Waiter explained everything to us quickly but to the point. We had such a great experience. This is going to be one of our go to spots.

I wanted to come back and change my review because they have definitely changed since the first time they open up. The food taste a lot better I had the fried pickles, catfish and fries. They waitresses/waitors were jolly haha. They place is family oriented and just a good time. This place also played good variety of music. They Have big screen tvs for sports entertainment. Come dressed casual. And ladies, no lipstick or lip gloss if ordering one of their seafood bags. I ordered combo #1 of snow crab legs, lobster tails and shrimp. My husband had the catfish basket and wings. My meal was tasty and messy. But plenty of napkins and wet wipes to clean up. My husband said his was good but not outstanding. Portions are a good size. Service was friendly and food served blazing fast. We received our food before drinks. That's how fast they were.

Delicious food and friendly service. Came here for a late lunch. They were not too busy, but regardless the service was top notch. Quick and the food was fresh... very tasty. Had the lobster bisque, which was the soup of the day. Clam chowder is available every day.

This place is older style. Wich I like. The server was ok. Not to attentive. Is important to mention that we arrived at 9pm they close at 10pm. So they where on closing mode. Now they sat down at least five other tables after we ordered. But it was just so obvious that they wanted you out. At 9:30 they close the bar. And the cleaning crew was watching 👀 your every move to kick you out of there. It was bad. They look like hawks. They have around 4 combos you could order or you could create your own. More spensive that way. 2 Big Eats&Lobs $76.00 eac $152.00 3 Mojitos. $12.00 eac. $ 36.00 2 Cajun fries. $ 6.00 eac $ 12.00 3 Sprites. $3.50 eac $10.50 Taxes. $ 15.88 Tips. $ 33.62 Total. $360.00 Service should never loose its quality not over time or over quantity.

Went here for the first time yesterday, and it did not disappoint! Customer service is great, and everyone (to include the manager Jules) came out to check on us multiple times. My husband and I got the crab cakes for an appetizer...although a little pricey, pretty good overall. For the meal, we shared 1 lb of King Crab, 2 lbs of Snow Crab, .5 lb of Sausage, and 4 Boiled Eggs In the Mr. and Mrs. Crab sauce.... SOOOO GOOD! Everything was cooked perfectly. Our waitress also suggested getting the Cajun fries to dip in the sauce while we eat, and man was she right! This restaurant is really good. We Will definitely be back!

Was a little skeptical about this place but glad we went in. The seasoning and flavor was great!! We had the Cajun with a side of lemon pepper and that was the best choice. Everything was fresh and cooked just right and did I already say how flavorful it was!!! This is a must try if a crab lover. Beware of the little kick of spice even in mild... so worth it tho.

Dont let the outside fool you. The atmosphere is very homey, comfy and warm. My waitress Bri was an absolute sweetheart. I had the fried combo platter (clam strips were very good) and had bread sticks with cinnamon butter. Bri told me that they deep fry the bread sticks so it loses its garlic flavor. However, they're very good on their own or with cinnamon butter and I felt they tasted better that way. Overall a very good place to eat. Solo, or with family.

Foods really good. Shared a broil with the extra hot. My fiancé and I have the taste buds that nothing is ever hot enough so we will order always the spicest for flavor. The extra hot was more extra species for all my other spicy 🌶 friends out there looking for a kick. It wasn’t it but good none the less. Our service was amazing, everyone was sweet and accommodating even when I accidentally knocked my fiancés beer all over him and I went to order him another one and he promptly got us another one and apologized to me and I said not at all your fault! Good food, well portioned and well seasoned, price is average. I can't say it's a bang for your buck however I can say that it was delicious. I had the fried fish basket with sweet potatoe fries which is an upcharge for that but so is every place else, can't complain on that. It was very well cooked, hot and fresh. My friend had the create your own seafood steamed platter which he had shrimp and scallops with corn and potatoes now that was very tasteful and the seasoning was on point with just amount of kick to it. The drinks he ordered was a typical margarita which wasn't strong, according to my taste it was weak. With everything all said and done, I will definitely go back and eat but wouldn't order drinks. The manager visits every table and make sure that everything is ok not once,not twice but three times she passed by which we did like that the fact managers at that place actually does that. We did say something about ther drinks which she said that they go by the measurements.

Our server was great. I ordered the fried combo. The shrimp were huge but too much breading, the clam strips were wonderful and the crab cake was ok. My son had combo b but he did not like the blue crab. He left 3 not touched and he was still charged for them. The sausage and shrimp he had was yummy, the sweet potato fries tasted ok but we're not hot. The scallops were watery and had no flavor. Overall the place was clean and the atmosphere was nice. Again, our server was great.

First meal post deployment!!! I had one lb. of snow crablegs with sides all seasoned with Mr. & Mrs. Crab signature sauce. It was AMAZING!!! They also had $1 draft beers and our server kept them coming. Overall great service. Will definitely be back!

I have literally been here to the specific location on Gandy, 4 times in the last 1.5months. I'm huge into seafood, and this is literally my favorite spot in tampa. The service is always great, and the food even better. Hector who works the bar and adjacent dining room sometimes is friendly, knowledgeable, and has a heavy pour. I tried the Mac n cheese for the first time because it was only $2, and it's nothing really to boast about, aside from price. I highly recommend getting the snow crab legs, shrimp with head on, in conjunction with their special sauce with at least a medium spice level or more. I can't recommend this place enough.

Wonderful experience! Our waitress/ bartender was amazing and so sweet. $1 draft Miller Lite beer on Tuesday is great. The food was exceptional! Snow crab was cooked perfectly and the seasoned garlic butter was crazy good. The corn and even potatoes were some of the best I've had. I ate a shrimp of my husband's which was also cooked perfectly. Food came out quickly and hot. So happy we stopped in.

Sam was the funnest server ever! It was our first time and she was gentle with us. Food was out fast and was absolutely amazing! I feel we got more for our money than anywhere else. What a DELICIOUS, YUMMY MEAL! My husband and I shared an order of fried pickels that were so good, I could not stop eatting them! The shrimp boil was FANTASTIC! We got the biggest kick out of the Mr. & Mrs. Crab bibs and the plastic gloves, but you certainly need to wear them because you get down on the food. Roberto was our server, he was polite, professional and very helpful. We have company coming soon and know the first place we will be taking them to. " Mr. & Mrs.Crab!

Eh... Service was impeccable. Our waitress was also the bartender who showed "mad love"(if u know what I mean 😉) Fried shrimp were nice sized, 8 pc basket, good wings, and the boils were fair sized for the price. All in all, our waitress made the experience what it was, but the food was also pretty good.

I was craving for my one pound of snow crabs and half pound of shrimp with mild house seasonings, fresh seafood hot and seasoned just right. I love it!!! I always order to go because I am the shy type when I am eating seafoood but you may prefer to dine in.

The food was good. It's a seafood boil place, so expect to get messy. They give you a bib and gloves before the food arrives. I got the spicy seasoning which had a decent amount of heat. You get a lot of food for what you order, if you don't have a huge appetite I would consider sharing a larger meal. I would recommend it if you want an experience to go with your dinner.

It's a lot of money for not a lot of seafood. Plan on spending $50 per person at least. The sauce was pretty tasty though. Enjoyed the shrimp. Our dinner for 4 adults and 3 kids ran $440 with no alcohol and 3 half off appetizers.

What a fun place to eat! 😃😋 It was our 1st time there. We had the sweetest server. Her name was Sam. The service she provided was amazing and she was incredibly friendly and very attentive to whatever we needed. Have you ever met someone that you just felt that you knew for years? That was Sam. We will definitely be back. The food was served promptly. Our glasses were never empty. You have so many options to choose from how spicy you want it..to the sauce that's on it. You can mix and match all different kinds seafood. Just have fun...put a bib on...glove up...its gonna get a little messy but it's ok because everyone is gloved up with a bib on too. I can't wait to come back. It was the perfect ending to our day. 😁😁👌💯

Love this place! Absolutely love their Mr. And Mrs. Crab Sauce. I always order the pound of shrimp with or without heads on for pick up. I would have given them 5 stars but there have been serval times that I have ordered from them and my shrimp were over cooked and mushy. I also wish they had a designated parking spot for pick up orders or could offer curbside pick up to prevent having to park in the back of the parking lot sometimes or next door because the parking lot is full.

One of my top 5 meals of all time. If I am ever back in Tampa I will be coming back here. We had the boil with mussels, crab, crawfish and shrimp. If you don’t like garlic you won’t like this though. Sam was awesome!! Here on a business trip from California and was craving seafood. Googled and came upon this place. Went in and was greeted right away. Sam got our food and drinks to us rather quickly. Love it how she's constantly coming and asking how we were doing. She came with our check and even gave me a MMC hat! She's very friendly and very understanding when I asked her to split our bill. I will be going back for another round of seafood before heading back to California.

Great food, my only note would be that a lot of their items are fried (but not all). This wasn't necessarily a bad thing - just a bit of a limit on how you can have your food prepared. Their crab bake was really good, and portions were plentiful.

We came in for some of the “best” shrimp baskets in Tampa. The shrimp was great. There was no way to add fried oysters without ordering another meal. That was disappointing. I would try one of their steamed or boiled options next time. I didn’t care for the basic hush puppies and the Cajun fries were pretty mild but tasty. The service staff was very nice but pretty slow. I’ll try the boil or steamed next time....looked good

Good quality of food..and Nice portions for the cost of 4 people (2 adults 2 kids) ...service was pretty cool, dude was pleasant he brought us everything we needed when asked...and he was good about checking on us periodically as Necessary, not too much not too little. We were lucky, most times when we go other places they are not so brilliant, & leave you to fend for yourself. I ordered 2 orders of crab cakes and calamari for apps. I had for dinner the 1 lb lobster with no side. I took half the order home it was such a large amount of good food. I got 3 lobster tail in the order all three cut in half as well as the corn and potato. Hubby got the clams, a whole lobster tail, shrimp, and sausage boil. He thought it was huge and pretty good tasting...he loved the seasoning... 1 child ordered the combo platter, she enjoyed it and took some home. The Boy ordered the shrimp with 1 side of cajun fries, along with Mac and cheese..he took half home. When the bill came I was too sticker shocked...we ate good and have left overs..along with good service what else can you ask for. Thanks..we will be back

They’re very clean and there is definitely social distancing guidelines being followed. Our server was great. I was disappointed the main body shell wasn’t taken off the blue crabs. Usually that’s done so there isn’t so much mess but it’s whatever. Food was pretty good. It didn’t have a traditional boil flavor but was still very good.

Been on vacation for a week ate out every night this has been the best place in Tampa by far. We had Jay as our waitress she went above and beyond the whole time we ate. Chris the manager is also Great . We ordered our food having never ate here before we picked the lvls of spicy we thought we would like, mine was on point. My wife's was to hot for her , even though it was not in anyway Jay's fault they fixed the order with no complaint. Chris came to the table a few time and talked to us making sure we enjoyed our time. This place is worth every dime you spend on the food alone, But with the service you get from Jay and the wait staff and Chris as the manager you will not be disappointed in anyway. Next time I'm back here this will be my first stop to eat..

Try one of the boils, they are amazing. If you don't know what a seafood boil is, they take the seafood, spices, potatoes, etc all in a bag and boil it. I don't know of any restaurant in Tampa that makes a seafood boil even close to this good. Amazing food!

The mangers run a great crew nightly here. I now always ask for Sam , she is a solid member of the crew that has been here from day 1. She is always positive and gives great service.. Friday night this place was pretty slammed but our server Bri made sure we had everything we needed. She did various checkpoints, made sure the food was good and we had everything we needed/wanted. I was able to try out this new restaurant as I was moving back to Tampa. I heard from friends and family the seafood was amazing so I decided to try it out. I was not disappointed everything was flavorful and cooked well!! It was so good we ordered twice within 3 days. I went with the Combo A with Medium Mr and Mrs Crab sauce!! Everything was just amazing. Unfortunately we haven’t had a chance to dine it yet (due to COVID-19) at a Mr and Mrs Crab- I’ve heard the dine in service is great, but hopefully soon! Great food and service! We had 2 lbs. snow crab and a crab cake. Both items were fresh and absolutely delicious. The seasoning on the snow crab (Mr. Mrs. Crab special) was flavorful while not being overpoweringly spicy. The food came out super quick. Their beer menu and full-bar is a perk, along with TVs playing the NFL game. The service was incredibly helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Food was good, pricey. Good service this time . I really dislike the mandatory 18 % tip added to the bill. I tip according to the service. 20-25% if its really good. 15 for less than desirable and 10 for terrible. This waitress was ok I probably would have tipped 15. Some members of our party were forgotten when food was brought to table. Having to request the scissors for opening the crab multiple times. Not following up with drink refills until asked several times.

This food is excellent, but I made the mistake of getting the mild hot spice the first time I went because I like a little spice sometimes. BE CAREFUL mild here is actually ghost pepper hot anywhere else! If you don't like spicy or only like it a little GET NO SPICE (except garlic butter). Hush puppies are really good too. They're a little sweet but not much. Staff was friendly. Prices are about $40 per person but you grey a lot of seafood. 1lb of lobster = 3 lobster tails (cut in half, so 6 halves!) WAY better than Red Lobster.

On a Friday evening at 7:30 my wife and I were seated immediately. A waitress was at our table in less than 2 minutes to take our drinks order. We ordered a mild seafood combo which was delivered to our table in a large plastic bag. One bite of the lobster tail and we asked for our server. The spice level was way to high for us. A new combo, minus the lobster was brought to our table. Now for the down side. The music from a juke box was incredibly loud. Normal conversation was impossible. Next the soup was served in a cardboard bowl and we ate our dinner on Styrofoam plates. A roll of paper towels served as our napkins.

Ambience is nice. It is a loud place. It's an experience one must try. Ordered 2 lbs of king crab legs and garlic bread sticks. Garlic bread sticks had no garlic taste and it was served with cinnamon butter. Checked with the server and he said garlic comes off when bread is baked/fried Crabs and corn were delicious however potatoes had no taste. Really disappointed with the service. I didn't get a refill until check was given

Where do I begin…. The only fish on the menu is Tilapia or Catfish. As you may imagine with a name like Mr. & Mrs. Crab, the focus is really on lobster, crab, shrimp, oysters & mussels. Most popular seemed to be a steam bagged variety of seafood with seasoning similar to what you may find at a crawfish boil served with corn, potatoes and sausage if you like. There are appetizers and side dishes as well. There is a Mr. & Mrs. Crab that will be opening soon at the old Sonny’s Barbeque location in Carrollwood. We’ve been waiting in anticipation for it to open. We looked up Mr. & Mrs. Crab and found that there were several locations in the greater Tampa bay area so we decided to give it a try. We visited the location on W Gandy Blvd in South Tampa. We were greeted and seated promptly. The waitress explained the menu highlighting some of the more popular menu items. The music playing was a combination of hip hop / rap like the type you would expect at a dance club. It didn’t help that it was excessively loud. Definitely not the type of music one would expect during a sea food dinner date. We ordered 2 drinks, 2 crab cakes as an appetizer, 2 fried shrimp baskets (8 count) & 2 macaroni & cheese side dishes. The menu clearly reads that baskets come with cajun fries or regular fries. Sweet potato fries ($1.00). The crab cake appetizer arrived at the same time our dinner order came out. My wife’s order was correct. I received a basket of 8 fried shrimp with cocktail sauce and tartar sauce. I asked where my fries and macaroni & cheese were and the server said she didn’t know I wanted fries or macaroni and cheese. She put in an order of fries which arrived well after I ate my shrimp. When we received the check, it listed 2 drinks, 2 crab cakes, 2 shrimp baskets, 1 macaroni & cheese and an a la carte order of fries. I tried to explain my concerns to the server but she didn’t seem to interested and immediately said she would have the manager come over to the table. It took a while but the manager finally came over. I explained to him that the menu clearly stated and I assumed that fires came with the fried shrimp basket. Although we never were charged, I also told him that we didn’t receive the 2nd order of macaroni & cheese. The manager understood the confusion and deducted the extra charge for the fries. It was nearly 20 min if not longer from time we questioned our server about the bill until we were able to leave. In closing, the food was ok and the service was less than expected. The best thing was the manager recognizing what was wrong and trying to make it right.

We were seated right away and I had snow crab and lobster tail for the first time! The seasoning (Mr & Mrs Crab special) was flavorful and fantastic! If you want fried oysters, fried shrimp, crab cakes, or even French fries, go somewhere else. They all had an off taste to them when we had them. Mediocre at best, some fell short of that. The reason for 5 stars is the crab. Order whatever fresh crab they have, and (important) get it ‘Mr and Mrs Crab’ style, which I HIGHLY suspect is the recipe of the Singaporean dish ‘Chile Crab’, made famous at the ‘No Sign Bar’. That dish is super popular in Singapore, but I’ve never found a good version of it in the US, until now. And this place does a fantastic job at it. Mr. and Mrs. Crab, if you’re reading this, please take all of that other stuff off your menu. With a crab dish like that, you don’t need it. It just distracts people away from your fantastic crab. I will be back, and looking forward very much to it.

The grand opening was two weeks ago, so the things I expected to be lackluster were not I've never had such highs and lows in a single visit to a restaurant. On our way in we had to jockey around a chinese grocery delivery truck. The truck was a cold box but whatever was in the boxes they delivered was on the ground. I couldn't read the contents because I don't read chinese. Hoping that it was not actual food product, we continued inside. On entering we were greeted right away and handed a buzzer with a promised wait of 15-20. This was about 6:30 on a Saturday night. We decided to sit at the bar while we waited. The bartenders were extremely nice and attentive. While looking through the menu we noticed several spelling errors, but hey, spelling is overrated! 11 minutes later the buzzer went off and we were seated. Once again, the staff was nice and attentive, a trend that lasted the entire meal. Staff alone would be a five star. We had the coconut shrimp and lobster bisque for appetizers. The shrimp tasted and had the texture of being frozen. The bisque was somewhat bland and contained zero lobster. The manager did remove the shrimp from the bill. We both ordered the seafood bags, or pots in other "crab shack" eateries. This is where the mediocrity of the previous dishes was forgotten. I had the sausage and shrimp and it was unbelievably delicious. The wife had the snow crab and hers was far above par as well. The portions were huge(I took some home) and the flavors were exceptional. One thing to note; in other crab pot places, they make up the portion in several potatoes and pieces of corn. Mr and Mrs has one small tater and a 1/4 piece of corn. The rest is all seafood. The staff was great. The apps were meh. The pots/bags were exceptional. We will return.

This was my first time here and i was truly impressed. I heard alot of good things about this place and had to check it out for myself. My girlfriend and I got the combo of crab legs, lobster tail and shrimp and it was the best seafood I've had since ive been in Tampa. It was well seasoned and fresh. Our server NIA was awesome, she guided us to the right recommendations and seasoning. Anytime i need anything she had for me, before i even asked. I highly recommend her. I will be back next week. My new Saturday night spot!!!!
