Reviews of Meat Market Steakhouse Tampa
Kayleigh Sandlin
Ate here for Thanksgiving dinner and had a pretty good experience! We had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time to be seated and didn’t think the host was too welcoming, but our server was nice and attentive. Food was good and met expectations, but nothing was good enough to make me crave it or want to come back for it. My favorite dish was the scalloped potatoes with goat cheese. The arancini special was good but the price seemed steep for the portion size ($19 for three). Everything else seemed pretty fairly priced. Spent $400 for two people which included drinks, apps, entrees, and dessert. Overall had a nice time but there are better places in the area.

Let me start by saying the this establishment is in my top ten list. The menu is based on American Culinary taste and it was very good. My Bison burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were fresh cut and very tasty. The ambience was first class and very welcoming. The staff is very professional in their work ethic and demeanor. Can't wait to go again.

My wife came into Tampa for a visit so I decided to take her to trendy Hyde Park for lunch. We chose the comically named Meat Market to eat. It definitely has an upscale vibe which they enhance by making us wait for 10 minutes outside even though we could clearly see most tables were available. Another couple after us just left when they were told they would have to wait for a seat at a nearly empty restaurant. I guess they can afford to lose business. The server was named Bianca and she was super friendly and attentive. I ordered the Churrasco with fries. The steak was okay but overpriced at $30. My wife got a turkey sandwich which looked amazing and she enjoyed. I probably would not return since there are other places in the area to choose from.

The name of the restaurant suggests there will be plenty of meat, but you will leave hungry unless you order appetizers, dinner, and tack on a salad.
They were, however, happy to accommodate for a very specific diet ( Gluten-Free, Grain-Free, Processed Sugar-Free, and Kosher).
For the prices, you would expect more, but the atmosphere is like a fine dining bistro with shops and people watching right by your table.

So this was a recommendation, and after reading the reviews I had my doubts but I'm so glad I went with it. First let me commend the staff, because everyone from the hostess to our server Kimberly were great! My dining experience here was great and I will definitely be back on my next visit to Tampa.

Prime New York 8 ounce is the shown with the green pepper & white plate 4/5, not as flavorful as the Meat Market Steak but good though
Meat Market steak on the brown board 5/5
Crispy brussels sprouts with sliced almonds 5/5
Creamed spinach in photo with spoon 5/5
Open atmosphere with air conditioning with doors open for a nice view and clean fresh air, but the flies worked my nerves 4/5
Customer service was phenomenal. She visited me every 5 mins I was there literally! Not joking! She should have just pulled up a chair and ate with us 😆 Next time lunch is on me.But they were nice and down to Earth 5/5. Kudos!

If I could give more than 5 stars I most definitely would! From start to finish this experience was phenomenal. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner and I could not have asked for a better meal or a better server. Austin made our entire Meat Market experience a great one. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating. The food came out in a timely manner, the meat was cooked perfectly and all of the sides were flavorful and fresh. I highly recommend MM! I’m looking forward to going back!

Had an unbelievable experience solely because of our fantastic server, Morgan. She was so helpful, so positive and made our dining experience amazing. We will be back and we will be asking for her!!

Great food, lively modern atmosphere and friendly , and attentive waiters who maintain a higher-end level of service. What more do you need ? Expect a busy bustling environment so dress well and take an Uber so you can enjoy either a great wine or one of their many delicious cocktails.

My husband and I were reccomended the meat market for date night. I will say it's probably in the top 10 of resturants we've been to. The service from our server Ellias was IMPECCABLE. My filet was cooked to perfection. My hubbs loved the filet with bone marrow. The truffle mash had great flavor. When in doubt, don't skip the Nutella stuffed cookies. They're amazing! Good drinks, good vibe, great food!

First off, the staff here will bend over backwards to accommodate you to the best of their abilities. I had a change in party size that went above what they do normally. As usual the dinner was amazing and the Fig Old Fashion was perfection! The setting is fun and easy going. Definitely more upscale than most places in Tampa, though not as intimate as a couple others. BUT.. I would prefer Meat Market over all else as the staff and food makes for a better overall experience for sure!

Awesome place with an awesome experience. The food was fantastic and the staff were ON-POINT perfect. I loved it. I even found something vegan to eat. I highly recommend it.

I'm all about meeting expectations, and this place delivered.
Came here with a huge group of guys on a Friday night for a high ticket private, private family-style dinning experience. Definitely a place to see and be seen. Ambiance is stellar.
At first it was a little rocky as the chic setup with "non traditional seating" in the private room wasn't exactly suitable for 40 men. Seating would have been far too tight, tables are low. Had we been 28, it would have great.
However, out of the gate, the service was excellent and staff very accommodating.
It could have gone really bad, and was tense there for a moment, but the mgmt and ownership stepped up and dealt with the issue ultimately to everyone's satisfaction.
Again, the staff were fantastic and remained friendly, pleasant and helpful for several hours. Very professional.
The food was also fantastic. And we had what felt like the full menu served family style.
On appetizers, Oysters Rockefeller were amazing. The cauliflower was a little bland to my taste and could have been a roasted a bit longer.
Tomahawk topped the steak, lobster was wonderful. The filet was a little underwhelming, but still glad to have it on the platter.
I wish I could have sampled the while dessert course, but I was stuffed. Those cookies though...
At the end it was an amazing experience I'm glad I had.

Great restaurant and great service. The food was awesome and the staffs are highly professional and have knowledge about the business and expectation. This is an upscale restaurant so expect it to be pricey but I would say it is worth it. Visited on a friend's recommendation and it didn't disappoint. Just have in mind that if you sre looking for a quiet upscale restaurant this is not your place. Also remember to abide by the dress code. Adds a feeling to the atmosphere. Overa this was a great experience and highly recommended. I will visit again whenever I am in the area. Keep up the good work market place management and staff.

Sooo Meat Market Steakhouse Tampa, I had high expectations for and was somewhat disappointed. Let me start with, the food was good. When I go somewhere to sit down to eat I’m looking at the full experience. If I only wanted good food I’d order to-go. My sister was in town visiting and the plan was to take her somewhere nice. Our reservation was for 9:45pm on a Friday night. We were seated at 10ish which there was a lot of visible confusion from the staff. Finally our table! Well our first waitress took our drink order. We then had a second waiter come who began to speak and midway paused (long pause) and stated he would be back. It was very awkward lol we at least found it funny. I hate long reviews so long shorty short, after a while of waiting, I flagged one of the hostess to say what happened, and he took our appetizer order. All our food did not arrive to our table until about 11:45pm. We were sooo hungry. The manager eventually came out with the appetizer to apologize for the wait and took care of the oysters. Bottomline, when I go to “high in” restaurant I expect a awesome experience which we did not get. I’ll pass on returning but at least the food was good.
What was ordered: Oysters / Filet Mignon / Wood Grilled Scottish Salmon / Mac&Cheese / Cream Spinach
Oysters = Loved the horseradish
Filet Mignon = Cooked just right
Wood Grilled Scottish Salmon = My favorite of the meal
Mac & Cheese = Not a fan of skinny noodles
Scream Spinach = Add bacon to anything & I love it

Hands down the best steak and restaurant in Tampa! If I could give more then 5 stars I would! Great service, exceptional steaks like this Japanese A5 Wagyu! Awesome drinks! Don't forget to try the chocolate chip cookies for dessert!
Anna Osadcha
We had 5-star experience for my husband’s birthday night. Food was high quality, service was exceptional, great atmosphere. One of our favorite places for dinner in Tampa Bay.
Taylor Greer
Always a sceney place for good people watching. Gets really loud and you’ll question why the folks who show up here didn’t have better parenting.
All that said, the happy hour at the bar is great and appetizers are tasty.

Visited Saturday Feb 26 while on a Anniversary celebration with my wife. Tampa was on fire this weekend so we couldn’t get reservations, however we were able to score a seat at the bar. The staff at the bar was amazing and the food was the best ever! We shared the Tomahawk steak that was cooked to perfection, fork tender and filled with flavor. The sides, salad and desert was great as well. So glad we were able to find a seat, it was a great meal to celebrate 37 years!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Meat Market in Tampa, Florida. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the high-end atmosphere. The service was top-notch, and the seafood tower I ordered was absolutely delicious. I would definitely give Meat Market 5 stars and recommend it to anyone looking for a fine dining experience.
Luca
The food was delicious! I really enjoyed the A5 Wagyu Sushi and the Lobster Mac And Cheese. The staff was very friendly. The prices were pretty high though.

It was very easy to make reservations on Open Table. I had reservations with my friends around 5pm earlier this week. It wasn't quite pack at that time but as time passed, seats started filling up. The servers were very nice and attentive, which I truly appreciate. I wish someone gave us a happy hour menu though since we were there during happy hour time. My friends and I enjoyed our steaks very much. The side of steak cut fries were HUGE and we loved it. There is a dress code to keep the atmosphere upscale. I don't mind it cause that means we get to dress up and feel good while we eat good. Will definitely be back!

Everything was Super delicious, the dumplings for appetizer were absolutely delicious, after I got the Seabass, super delicious with the Brussels Sprouts with almonds, pickled onions and bacon, super, super delicious, after they surprised my daughter with different desserts for her Birthday.
Really nice place, everybody is very nice, thank you for such a nice experience
Nigel “Shotta” Graham
The ambiance and the aura of this place is enchanting. Nice little touch of elegant and beautiful women serving you and every table. My only reason for giving this 4 out of 5 stars, is because I've eaten at other high end steakhouses and the food had a little better flavor. I also want to highlight the fact that they had exceptional sauces and a different array of sauce selections. Overall I enjoyed myself but if they can make their food just slightly more flavorful I'll change my rating.
Grizzly Alfredo
An excellent eatery with modern décor.
The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. Reasonably priced entrees with high quality choice cut meats.

Came here on Sunday night for a 5:30pm reservation left around 7:45pm. I share that to make sure you plan for enough time to sit and truly enjoy your meal and experience. Staff was extremely attentive, very accommodating and kind. The wait for food is a little longer than normal, but worth the wait, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We ordered the following: lobster and crab cake, sea bass, grouper, filet mignon, asparagus, lobster mashed potatoes, 4 shrimp cocktail, Pinot Noir, a honey bunny, and the creme brulee. Every item that came out was spot on in flavor and temperature. I highly recommend this spot for a nice dinner or even for a glass of wine with some appetizers the bar area.

What a wonderful meal and the service was excellent! Hats off to our server (can't remember his name-surfer type) and manager JZ as well. It's hard to beat this place!
Wael Georgey
We dined here as a group and had an amazing experience here. The staff, food, drinks and ambiance were perfect. The food was high quality and delicious. I highly recommend this steakhouse to anyone looking for a quality experience.

Meat Market first timers. My wife and I reserved a table for her birthday and were blown away by the hospitality and professionalism we experienced. Our servers Nicole and Jake served a healthy balance of checking in while allowing us our privacy. Our glasses stayed full and the food was excellent. One of the managers, Gabriel, went out of his way to ensure we got the full experience and did not miss a beat. Truly one of our best dining experiences ever.
Sara Schwabe
Delicious food and great service in a gorgeous setting! The Wagyu dumplings are to die for. This is the perfect place for anyone who, like me, loves an ever-changing menu full of seasonal, unique creations
Jeff Slaton
The filet mignon was incredible as was the loaded baked potato. I tried the escargot and the flavor was out of this world. Blue cheese stuffed olives in the Ketel one was incredible. The scenery was also appreciated. Highly recommend.
Heidi Morales-Hake
If you're looking for an upscale and trendy atmosphere, Meat Market is your place. I found the food to be okay, and the drinks ordinary. However, they did have an extensive wine list. I did enjoy the ambiance and vibe of the place, which reminded me a lot of being out in DC. Service was great up until it was time for dessert. Our waiter disappeared for 30 minutes, without offering us a dessert menu and finally found someone to flag him down. If you don't mind overpaying for food and drinks, have a go, otherwise there are so many other great restaurants to splurge on in the area.

UPDATE: Went here especially for my bday w/friends. I flew in especially to be here for it. I was so looking forward going to the Meat Market! Having said that the experience was very different than before. The bench seating we were seated at was totally collapsed. We were offered 2 seat cushions to put under our butts to sit on! Are u kidding me??? The bench cushion was so low that my chin was slightly above the table. Ok if you want to slide the food into your mouth. Lol. I spoke with the manager on duty at the time. His service recovery was great however this first impression experience, for our friends, was/is sooo unnecessary and embarrassing for us since we raved about the restaurant to them. Nothing a piece of plywood and/or new cushions wouldn’t resolve. A very lousy start to the evening otherwise food & service were great!
What an amazing place! A steak house is NOT just another steak house. This place took it to a whole new level both on their modern atmosphere/decor and service. You know their serious about their standards when they have a strict dress code and your not seated till your entire party arrives. I TOTALLY get it now. Upon be seated, Steve introduced himself and his service team that were in charge of our total dining experience. The pics almost speak for themselves. The shaved truffle made the gastronomic experience for sure! You gotta experience this place for yourself, words don’t do it justice.

Customer service was great. We didn't have a reservation but they give us a romantic table for two without waiting. Our cocktail selection was: MEAT MARKET MAI TAI and FRESCA PEPINO. Both of them were very good. We tested the quality of the Zacapa 23 Solera Rum and the freshest aroma of the ginger. Ceviche, quinoa Salad with Salmon on top, and a trio of Steak were the best of the night.
Olivia Landry
Reece was a fantastic server! Love the food and atmosphere here. We order the tuna tartar every time 😊 …

Had a large party at 5:30pm.
Got to the restaurant and the front hostess states that the hostesses inside the restaurant will see me to my table, spoke the the hostesses and they couldn't find the booking and did not make any effort after that, just looked at me with a blank face.
Food was average for the prices they charge, service from the waiters and waitresses was great, and the atmosphere was amazing.
Hostesses Desk needs better training, or more effort needs to be put into solving an issue.
My overall experience was above average for trying this place out for the first time compared to other restaurants I've dined at, and I would go again for a special occasion due to the atmosphere.
Dana
Food and service were excellent. The absolute best! However, negative points for how loud the inside was. Music was blasting and people everywhere like a night club. Secondly, the plating could have been better. A bit of color or more of visually attractive garnish to the steak dish, would have really topped it off. Great experience otherwise.
Jasmine Lopez
I love Meat Market! It’s a glamorous and sexy restaurant coupled with a decadent & delicious cuisine! For lunch, we had the Wagyu beef empanadas, Blackened Scottish Salmon and Rosemary Roasted Chicken. I definitely look forward to going there for dinner!

This spot in Old Hyde Park definitely is the place to be they say. The waiting list is always outrageous . The food is good and the atmosphere is nice. They have a club that you enter from the inside but you pay for that separate. It is very loud inside the restaurant so it’s not a good space for conversation. Unfortunately we waited an hour and 30 minutes for a table even with reservations. They do have valet parking that is located in the front of the building. But there are also two public parking garages nearby. Dining is optional indoor or outdoor. Indoor seating is very loud so it’s not a good place for conversation . Prices are on the higher end and service was not wonderful. for our bill being on the high side , I just expected service to be at its best. We were a party of five and we ordered : Churrasco steak, white truffle mashed potatoes, lobster mac & cheese, mushrooms, asparagus, wagyu wontons, wagyu ribs, escargot, oyster Rockefeller, scalloped goat cheese potatoes and fillet steak. Alcoholic Drinks included: some like it hot, lychee martini, and white sangria. The lychee martini was my favorite drink . Churrasco steak was great and the lobster Mac, white truffle potatoes and the wagyu wontons were amazing. over all it was good just can’t deal with that wait time . .✌️ Just a local trying to help ;)
Matt Rohde
Atmosphere and location is great. Wagyu filet was exceptional, the traditional filet was good but nothing special. Servers was nice, friendly, knowledgeable, and very fast.
Morgan Rowling
From the food to the atmosphere to the service this place really has it all! This is definitely a place that you can bet will be exactly what you have in mind! The food is all cooked and plated to perfection. Their menu goes well beyond steaks! You will not be disappointed!
Shayla Watkins
The food was amazing and the drinks were strong and tasty! Ben was an amazing server and personable! Meat Market are blessed to have him. He was on top of everything. Betsy the host was so friendly and fashionable haha!
Michele Young
In Hyde Park South Tampa. Very busy, a place to see and be seen! Service was excellent and the food was very good, Sea Bass worth every penny. The filet mignon was ok, have had better. Dessert was memorable! I would go back.
Brian Simon
WHAT AN AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE!!!
For those of you that have an appreciation for "WOW" experiences, this is the place for you! DAVID, THE MANAGER, IS FREAKING AWESOME!!! He expressed a genuine desire to make our experience memorable. Our server, Alex, and his assistant, Diego, are second to none. Their attention to detail was 5-Star! We were so impressed that we made a reservation here to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday.
Elijah Dickhaus
I cannot BELIEVE this place has so many negative reviews. This is by far the best steak house in the area. Bern's, Malio's, Fleming's, Charley's, etc. are all perfectly fine but Meat Market is at an elevated level. Their oyster selections are superb, their desserts are exquisite, their cocktails are exceptional, the service is on point, and I've never been anything less than thrilled with the entrees. Every. Single. Time.
Hell, even the free BREAD is by far the best I've ever seen anywhere. It is absolutely criminal for them to be ranking in the 3's. If you look you'll see they are haters (why is it so trendy? I'm obviously a cool person because I was NOT impressed) and cheapskates, for the most part.
Palazoloup
Great food, the best service and nice atmosphere. Just very expensive. Great selection of wines.
Stephanie Hoskins
I would venture to say this is one of the better dining establishments in Central Florida. From the start we enjoyed an attended wait staff, exceptional starters, the steak was perfection, and the Nutella stuffed chocolate chip cookies were heavenly. I mean, I’ll make the hour-drive just for the cookie. I loved that it wasn’t pretentious either but a very comfortable, trendy and beautiful place.
Lyndee Lindsey
3 1/2 stars. Modern beautiful Interiors, just as inviting exterior dining. The selection of Boutique Oysters were amazing with fresh ground horse radish.
Don't understand calling the salad Mango Wedge and the lettuce is chopped. Creative Mango Thousand Island Dressing dressed entirely too heavily. The Sea Bass was cooked perfectly served overmash with Edanames and Fresh Corn. Attempted the Sous Vide Steak major chewy. Manager replaced with Filet over cooked not mid rare. The cinnamon roll was a special treat. I'd recommend. $16.00 for French Hendricks 75 is entirely too expensive. Looking forward to trying again surely better grill people in evenings!
Greg Duperey
Added the Blue Crab Oscar Style enhancement to my steak based on Daniela’s suggestion. I admit I’m hard to please when it comes to food, but this was one of the most delicious meals I can remember having in a long time. Never eaten a steak so slowly. Watermelon breeze is a winner as well. Recommend sitting at the bar, great service and fun atmosphere. Daniela, Victoria and the rest of the team will take great care of you
Sarah
Went for the New Years Eve party. They placed a dance floor in the main room, but the tables were so packed in you could barely get to it, much less dance. Unfortunately the bathroom is located in the same corner, making that navigation even more difficult. The toilet paper holder and sink in the women's handicap stall were broken. We paid roughly ~$500/person and the food did not stack up. Our steaks were overcooked and our wait staff was not able to keep my water full, even though I requested a carafe to avoid that issue. The dessert was good and the live music was fun, but at the price, I don't think I could recommend the new years eve event to others.
Roy Cardona
Wow wow and wow food was amazing wine just as amazing 10 starts if I had ten wow service was just as amazing this place ruined all other steak places the roy wow review wow a must try
Jay Canals
This was our first visit and certainly will not be the last. From start to finish the service was excellent. The drinks were strong, well made and excellent as well. The food…. Everything from the cream truffle corn, to the hangar steak was top notch. Can’t wait to go back again.
Lacy Ahumada
Absolutely beyond. Obviously super trendy, and prepare to spend a little money, but so so worth it!! Everything we ordered was delicious. Steak meatloaf, brussel sprouts, dessert and drinks were all well worth the check! Great service, great ambiance. Can’t wait to go back!
Ammi L. Collado
They have the BEST Rockefeller oysters I've ever had. Only thing is they are pricey (4 for $18). I got 2 orders because they were that good. Also, their beef empanadas were very good with the mango BBQ sauce. The chicken breast entree was okay, had to add salt. I won't order that again. To drink, I got the rosé spritz which delightfully refreshing. My friend got the blackened salmon entree which was also bland and small portions. All in all, I enjoyed the dining experience and will definitely be back for those oysters.
Edward Zaki
Great concept. Happy place. The idea, the management and the master mind behind all of this did very well. We enjoyed a very good Louis Roederer and a seafood tower of great quality and very reasonably priced.
Nadia Savelieva
Great service and delicious food. We tried Picahna steak (was my favorite), NY Streak, bone marrow, escargot, Brussels sprouts and sweet potato fries. Everything was excellent, but sprouts were a bit over cooked. The servers were very courteous and helpful. I wasn’t a big fan of loud music that made it hard to talk. Lovely atmosphere otherwise.
Chase Price
Honestly I was disappointed.. came here for Father's day as my dad really enjoyed this place in the past, but the brunch experience was nowhere near as good. When seated it took 10 min before someone finally got our drink order. We were outside and an outfoor fan was inches from my back blowing LOUD. When I asked the server if management could move it back some, she never got back to me, so I physically moved the fan myself. This place is so overpriced for the portions you get and the food didn't taste all that great. Mac n cheese was bland. And the cinamin roll for dessert was dry.
Jim isF
This place is AMAZING! The food is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥, the decor is super cool, the staff as a whole were all very beautiful & they were all very welcoming! They also make you feel at home & we will definitely go back. Drinks never ran dry & there was always someone a few feet away to make sure we were doing ok. We read some reviews before we went & I saw many that didn’t line up w our experience so always be very optimistic when reading reviews. We’ve eaten at steakhouses all over the U.S. & this place is now definitely in our top ten! Good thing for us is we live somewhat close 😎 Our only real complaint if you can call it one is they took the creme brûlée off the menu!!!! Parking is a little crazy so make sure you get there early so you’re not late for your reservation. Other than that this place will not disappoint you on any level 👀 Thanks guys & see Ya soon, The Smiths
Patti Smith
Garrett and Scott took great care of us tonight. We enjoyed happy hour at the bar with Sarah with specialty bourbon cocktails and half a dozen oysters before a delicious dinner. Wafts ribeye for me with loaded baked potato and crispy Brussels and scallops and lobster tail for him. Top it off with rich wine, salads and dessert. Will definitely make this place a regular for special occasions. Basil old fashioned, must have. Enjoy!
Candice Vaught
My husband took me here to celebrate my birthday and I must say this restaurant is amazing! From the food to the service & professionalism of the management. Gabriel the manager was a true gentleman and Nicole and Jake provided top notch service. We look forward to coming back over and over again 💜 #classyfun

We make a reservation a month ago, and it really worth it the 2 hours drive! The restaurant is beautiful, good service and the food unbelievable delicious... The menu is interesting if you think is the meat the star. I was surprised with the short rib ravioli and the white truffle american kobe tartare. My husband enjoyed his steak with the Creamy scallops potatoes and goat cheese.
The good news for us, we still have a lot more food to try, so we will come back soon.
Ernest Cummings Jr
Veey good experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was outstanding and the hosts and servers were attentive and friendly. We were celebrating an anniversary and they brought out so many desserts and treats for the occasion. Would definitely recommend.

I was a first time visitor to the Meat Market Steakhouse. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I attended with a few other guests our server was Kevin, he was well versed on the menu options and he even gave us good suggestions to a meal plan. Everyone at our table was very satisfied with their food. The giant shrimp cocktail were pricey ($10 per shrimp) however they were delicious. The crusted seabass melted in your mouth. For the record this is a mildly expensive restaurant but you won't be disappointed. The happy hour is nice too the server gave us these delicious savory corn nuts to snack on that are addictive. I forgot the name lol. Overall I will return if not for the seabass but the corn nuts. Thanks to the chefs who prepared our food they did a great job
Gustavo Duluc
The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Our server Chris was very knowledgeable and helpful. For appetizers we ordered half a dozen oysters on the half shell they were very fresh and came with an excellent horseradish grind, cocktail sauce, and a house vinaigrette. The were great! Then my wife ordered the churrasco an I ordered the Scottish salmon. The churrasco was perfectly cooked and tender but the star was the Salmon on a bed of spinach with a mango salsa sprinkled with sliced almonds! It was FABULOUS! The chef is an artist 🎨. We accompanied it with Trethen Chardonnay from Napa. To finish up we ordered Pineapple Banger-coffee, tequila reposado, orgeat it was the perfect ending....The bill was priced accordingly $$$160.00 but totally worth it.
Kelsey Labo
had a wonderful dinner! heather was our server and made it a great experience. i will definitely be back soon! Frank introduced us- Sebastian and David always take good care of us!
Justin Murph
Place is a vibe. It's pricey but you should know that walking into this place. Waiter and Waitress were great and really enjoyed myself, and my group did as well
Hardy Taliaferro
Excellent service, it was like the water glasses automatically filled themselves. Used plates were quickly removed from the table. It was though we had 4 dedicated servers ready to respond instantly to our every need.

On Sunday, September 18th my church family and I had the pleasure of partaking in brunch. We made reservations two weeks prior to our outing. There was a total of 15 of us. When we arrived to be seated, Stephanie the hostess was very rude, short-patient, and lacked professionalism. Our reservations were for outside and although there were tables available the hostess and the seating hostesses asked were we going inside or outside. I wasn't sure why we would be asked that if the reservations were made for outside. When attempting to speak with her, she, meaning Stephanie would talk at the same time. Never taking time to listen. It appeared she doesn't work well under pressure. With that being said, I would suggest she attend a course on Hospitality. Recognizing in order to diffuse a situation you must first listen when the customer is talking, then speak. The manager on duty at the time, Adam was not very friendly and never attempted to assist with clearing up any misunderstanding. He stayed inside and didn't greet and see how our concerns could be resolved. It's my understanding that Mr. Berger wasn't available therefore we couldn't get our concerns addressed at the time. Once seated, my table that was being served by Graham was pleasant. He and the waitress that assisted our table were very friendly, patient and professional. Idid hear from the other two tables of guest that their service was good also. We appreciate that although our afternoon did not start off good due to the unprofessionalism by Stephanie, the hostess, it ended nicely due to the servers we were assigned. Mr. Roy Berger, I did reach out to you and left a voice message. I would appreciate a return call to further address how you plan to handle these types of situations going forward. Thank you.

Best food, best service and a better atmosphere. Sebastian, Heather and David always take care of our group. We’re weekly regulars and they always do us right. My group and Frank thank you for going above and beyond on a weekly basis.

You can't ever go wrong going here. But you definitely need a reservation. The dishes are great. The drinks are worldclass. The DJ and sax player are fantastic. Trust me, you got to stop here.

Great place! Great service. We had reservations, everyone was friendly. They do a great job on social distancing. When you come in, they check your temperature. We had a table outside. My friends ordered steaks and I ordered BBQ Wagyu Beef Ribs with a side of Wild Mushrooms. The BBQ Wagyu Beef Ribs actually an appetizer dish. Believe me, the portion was big enough to consider it as the main course. Wild mushrooms are tasted amazing! The food there is tasted amazing. They bring steaks instead of plates on blackboards. This place is always packed, you have to make a reservation in advance if you are planning to go there. The location is nice, right in the middle of the Hyde Park area.

The Meat Market is a fusion between a nightclub and upscale restaurant...so if you're into having your bottle delivered Hakkasan style, this is the place for you.
Service at the bar was spot on and we wished we would have stayed there instead of getting a table. Don't think you'll sit down and order a cocktail...water only first. There will be about 5 different people at your table throughout the time you're there: water person, server, drink delivery, food delivery, manager, etc.The staff is very professional and courteous but the food was less impressive than the decor and took FOREVER. Appetizer took over a half hour and entrées took another 45 minutes.
Pros: very professional staff, cleanliness, raw bar, short ribs.
Cons: timeliness, steaks, strange strobe lights in bottles, quality control.

One of the most phenomenal restaurant experiences ever! The service was beyond amazing! Especially for a large group. Servers were like smooth ninjas, never leaving you wanting for water, and always anticipating your next request. Super impressive! Food?? Omgosh, how is it possible to have every aspect of the meal from drinks, bread, appetizers, sides (we all ordered over half the ones on the menu & shared), entrees, and even desserts THAT out of this world amazing?? Multiple people in our party literally commented that this was the best food they had eaten in ALL of 2020 ('Do they get out much,' you ask? Trust me, they do). Didn't think I liked cauliflower or Brussel sprouts...apparently I do now!! Or at least I do there! Seriously everyone, I highly highly recommend this place. Might be a little pricier, but it is totally worth the splurge.

The general Ambiance outside was not as nice as the packed air conditioned inside. Ridiculous rule about wearing shorts , so the dress code at a Florida Restraunt is not appropriate in the summer in my opinion . We had ordered many community Smorgasbord dishes from seafood and steak. The steak was $240 and was so fatty I just had to not eat it. I don’t know what it was called we did not have a bill we were simply guests.Neither did the other 3 guests . The seafood was delicious , lobster, large shrimp , oysters were all top quality. Salmon was also delicious.
A generous plate of deserts brought smiles. We also had 1 bottle dom perignon 2012 and a bottle Camus Cabernet Savignon. The staff and multiple servers we had were excellent. We had actually ordered a few Bourbons and they were out of the pappy van winkle which I had look forward to trying for a long time and was pleased to see it on the list but it was out of stock. Eating outside is quite noisy with some trucks using air horns and other cars revving their engines because of all of the people. That didn’t take away from the experience and I would suggest not eating outside. The bathrooms were clean and the restaurant was full and the bar was full and was quite noisy, They only allowed me to use the bathroom reluctantly because I was wearing shorts. One of the guests at my table said the lobster macaroni made him sick. He used the restroom to empty his stomach. I think the final bill was around 2K with the tip.

Very sophisticated place with great atmosphere and food.
Picanha steak is my favorite: it’s very rare to find this cut anywhere.
Great appetizers and sides: Waguy dumplings are fantastic as well as assorted mushrooms.
A little loud inside and cold. Get a table outside if you can.

Wonderful experience. We had the meat sampler, the escargot and the dessert sampler and it was absolutely phenomenal. Our waiter Romain went the extra mile to deliver outstanding service, kudos. Very impressed, will definitely stop by again.

We had dinner here tonight and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We knew going in that it was pricey so it wasn’t a shock. What was a shock is how busy it is considering how much we spent. Not sure the virus impacted Tampa in that regard, but I digress. We started with cocktails that were perfect. I had something “pink” and fruity. Appetizers were actually a let down. We had the grilled artichoke hearts and the grilled cauliflower. The presentation of the cauliflower is impressive, but it was bland and the sauce accompaniment didn’t have much flavor. The artichoke wasn’t seasoned. There is too much reliance on the garlic-butter dip which had WAY TOO much spice. One of the artichokes was actually singed black and brought to the table smelling burnt. That was interesting. For dinner we had the sea bass and the ribeye. Both were fantastic. The sea bass was flavorful and firm. It was cooked to perfection. I regretted that I didn’t order it for myself. The ribeye was cooked medium rare and was more on the rare side. Nonetheless, it was flavorful and my knife sliced right through it. We had the brussel sprouts and the asparagus for sides. The sprouts had a nice surprising sweet taste to them. The asparagus needed salt and pepper. We also had the s’mores dessert. I’m not a fan of chocolate and this was no exception. It was too rich for me (most chocolate candy is so this wasn’t a surprise), but it was still devoured. Overall, it was a good meal and a fun atmosphere. The music is loud, but it helps muffle conversations from other diners so we didn’t mind so much. The staff is VERY attentive and friendly. One thing that really struck me was the sign about the dress code - no tank tops, etc, but the hostesses are in the skimpiest of shorts and strapless or spaghetti strap tops. Not sure why the dress code was even posted if the staff doesn’t adhere to it, but whatever.

OMG! What an experience! Meat Market made our 25th wedding anniversary one for the books! The atmosphere, the food, the staff (servers Tim & Lindsay)... everything was amazing!!! And they topped it off with a 4 plate dessert as an anniversary happy from them to us! My husband, daughter, my son and myself really enjoyed MM and recommend this place highly!

Easily the Highest Level Steak House I've visit, Don't miss that Tomahawk , Service is EXCELLENT, Waitresses are beautiful, and waiters are inquisitive, they want to see you happy and satisfied, and smile from every employee and a great level of respect, a little pricey but it's more than understandable the why. Highly recommended for meat lovers.

Was visiting the Tampa Bay Area and had heard of this restaurant via word of mouth. As someone who travels across the state for business and travel, I’ve had my fair share of fine steakhouses and so was looking forward to add the meat market to the list. However, overall I would characterize my experience here as mediocre. Starting with the positives, the ambience definitely fits within the definition of fine steakhouse and exudes a “contemporary fine dining” vibe. Looking below the superficial and to the actual food, I found the menu lacked creativity, especially at the prices they were charging. Starting with the appetizer, the ceviche was incredibly overpriced for the serving size and there was nothing memorable to it. We had the tomahawk ribeye, which to best describe was prepared in sort of a Pittsburgh style; however, I found it to be a little too charred at the ends, leaving for certain pieces of the steak to taste chalky and dry. We paired this with the tator tots, which in the end were the most inventive thing on the menu and very good. Overall, I would say this place is fine if ambience is a big factor in your dining experience. However, I wouldn’t call it the full package and the food was very mediocre for the price point.

Very nice atmosphere, chill vibe, and live DJ on weekends. Food was good, I got the duck & sweet potato waffle. Very good, but small portions.
Mike Blanchard
Sat at the bar and had a martini and their turkey Brie sandwich. Service was great and food was delicious. Great for lunch. They were very busy so it was a little loud. Their outdoor patio seems a little more quiet than inside.

First time there for my wife's birthday...The food was absolutely delicious! Blessed to have the experience there...

Amazing Food. I had the Meat Market Steak. I have not had a steak that was this good. The flavor and seasoning were on point and the steak melted in my mouth.
My wife had the filet mignon. We both smiled when she was served a huge plate with nothing but the steak. It looked so empty. However, we quickly understood that the steak didn't need anything else. It made a bold statement and was melt in your mouth spectacular.

A great spot for a fancy meal. The eggplant appetizer was freaking amazing. Served with two homemade ravioli it was one of my favorite dishes. It deserves to make it’s way to the entree list. The Wagyu filet is pricey but I guess that’s just how it works if you want to eat like a king. It was pretty yummy. The pepper on top was a very nice touch. Cream corn was excellent. Not too creamy, just like I prefer. Wife got the short rib. This was an absolute let down. Short rib should fall off the bone and this was tough. The lobster that was included was a little fishy and this plate is served more like a stew dish. Not what we are use to for a short rib. I would remove this from the offerings as it was a disappointment. Still giving a 5 star review as we had about 4 different staff come over and ask if everything was good. We lied and said everything was good as I was suffering some intense back pain and just wanted to eat and go home. Normally would of sent this dish back. Given how sincere everyone was I’m sure it wouldn’t of been a problem to send it back for a different dish. Given I was in pain we chose to share my steak and take the short rib home. Gave the short rib to my son when we got home and he said it was nasty. He ate at the restaurant the night before and loved everything he ordered. The creme brûlée with tropical fruit was different than the traditional creme brûlée which we have normally eaten but was pleasantly delicious. The unsweetened tea in a glass bottle was a excellent accessory to the meal if you’re not having an adult beverage.

We had a good time. The food was excellent. Server was very friendly. I liked my drink ( I love gold ). Crusted tuna was delicious. My wife had the steak and she loved it. Oysters were fresh.

This was a great experience! The service was phenomenal from Ben. The manager Gabriel went above and beyond. The desert platter was delicious along with the cocktails.

There is the vibe and there is my review. I will separate the two for you. I did not take off stars for things that I think were simply because it wasn’t my “vibe” or were things that are not something that could be improved upon. That would not be fair. I took off stars because the food was underwhelming considering the price. I’m very used to having 75 and 100$ steaks at quality steakhouses all over the country. With that being said their Grass fed ribeye paled in comparison to the beef I have in my home fridge as I type this. Overpriced with hardly any flavor. The sea bass was over cooked and the lobster Mac and cheese was mediocre at best. Our server was excellent even though his “assistant” server was obnoxiously pushing refills and add on in hopes of her slice of the tip improving. For a place of that caliber I expect service, not sales, and there is a very clear distinction.
As far as vibe, be aware of what this place is. And is NOT. It’s a typical South Tampa spot. Very loud full of south Tampa’s finest competing for attention in a sea of TRT and Botox. Everyone was dressed to impress however which I did like. It is NOT a top notch steakhouse. Not in any scope of the term. Just because you have wagyu on your menu doesn’t make you a fine steakhouse.
If you’re curious…try it. That might very well be your vibe and there is nothing wrong with that. I’d personally take Burns, Charlie’s, or even Ruth’s Chris if I wanted a steak and as far as socializing or having drinks…well…I’m sure you can easily find your future ex wife there so budget for that as well.

I love it. I'm planning to go again tomorrow. Food is great. Service is excellent!

Great food and wine menu. My service was excellent, and the young woman who took care of me (don't remember her name... she was blonde) ran out to bring me the shopping bag I forgot. Thank you!

We love @meatmarkettampa because every meal we have had as we go down the list of foods on the menu have been outstanding! Moreover, Meat Market is a vibe! It reminds us of some of our favorite dining hot spots in Miami! The music, the patrons, especially the staff...always friendly, always fabulous always fun! - 🌺 @maxinereyesofficial @happilyjoint

Service and seating all top notch. A very trendy place. The grass-fed rib eye steak was divine (ordered as medium). My steak was a tie with a Delmonico steak at another local premium restaurant. As a side my wife and I ordered the Brussel sprouts, also very good. Make sure you make a reservation as this one fills up quickly, especially during the weekend days. Valet across the street is $5.00, we left a tip after the fee. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I gave 4 stars for service and atmosphere because the very first time going there was rough. We were timely for our reservation but the restaurant was not. They had us waiting with a group of other ppl who were in the same waiting position we were in which to us defeated the purpose in the reservation. We requested to sit inside and we were sat outside at a time where Florida is actually cold so it super uncomfortable and we had to complain to be moved (2 other parties that sat there after us also requested to move) but they were so packed their seating was limited to begin with. So thats why the atmosphere got a 4 stars too because even though its a prime location I don't like being or feeling too packed and thats the feeling I got. When they moved us, our server was awesome and did everything he could to change our experience around, and he did. We wanted a steak that was bone-in, and they were all out. So our server put in a lot of work to make our experience worth it. We said we wouldn't go back since it wasn't what tge hype was but we actually got invited there for a drink the other day. Got the drink and ordered food to go, and the food was amazing. The service was good. Maybe depending on the person, thats the better route to go. We will definitely go back for take out, but an in person reservation is still on the fence.
Tiffany Dasilva
Food was great. Service was ehh got worse after we paid. Our bill was 264 we left over a 50 tip our server comes back with someone else bill that was over 400 and accused us of not giving her enough money. She even said "i can count the money out for you if you like" as if we were incompetent to count. Once we pointed out that wasn't our bill she didn't say sorry only "oh your right I moved your check to another place" it was very embarrassing to have the other tables around us and ppl waiting (we were sitting outside) to hear us be accused of not paying enough. Very disappointed especially for what we paid
Allison Ciszek
Delicious steak, perfect char. Not a fan of the scalloped potatoes, feta cheese made it bland and not creamy like we expected. Would reorder everything else though. Loves the atmosphere. Music was a little loud inside making us feel like we had to speak loud.
Tom Q.
Not bad. Pricey. Decent food. Nicely decorated. Friendly service albeit a bit slow.
If you have been to an STK restaurant, you'll recognize the same feel and atmosphere. Clubbish in the evening, trendy during the day. The food was above average but pricier than it should be given the competition. Alas, STK put a lot of money and thought into the decor so if you are more interested in dining in a "high end" location, this is for you. If you are more focused on culinary substance and what your tastebuds are telling you vice your eyes, this is not your style.
Glad we tried Meat Market. Who's next?
Anna Ch
We went to meat market to celebrate my husband’s birthday , the atmosphere was very nice, even if the restaurant was full of people our server was very attentive and accommodating us with any request.
Since i have food allergy i was very happy about the help with the right food choice!
Everything was very tasty, and fresh 👌🏼
Also we got a special happy birthday cake , that was very nice surprise! Thank you !
We will definitely be back !

Our waiter and food was amazing but the wait time from the kitchen was not.

Great meat cuts, Angus, Wagyu with different ingredient infusions in a nice inside and outside terrace setting. They have plenty of friendly staff making their service from the greeter to our server, Ben, excellent. Try it. Enjoy the photos below.

A recently open restaurant in the artistic neighborhood of Tampa.
It was Monday, and full! Sebastien Tribout the Director of Operations, kept supervising the whole place, the hostess is very polite and pretty, with well manners escorted me to my table, then Chris and Eten introduce themselves as my waiters, in this place a waiter is there to read your mind and do their best to accomplish your expectations!
An impressive wine and spirits list, some very extraordinary like Chateau Margaux, Margaux $3,000 and more!
As appetizers, we had Roasted Cauliflower, Tuna Tartare, Wagyu Dumplings, and animan Ranch BBQ Beef Ribs.
Fresh napkins and lime to refresh the hands.
As main entrees Prime New York, Prime Short Ribs and Filet Mignon. The sauces; Habanero Chimichurri, Horseradish Truffle, Cognac Pepercorn and Homemade MM-A100.
The quality and tenderness is impressive and delicious!
Large to desserts and a Port with Espresso as digestive!
I couldn’t ask for more, absolutely impressive, I can’t wait to be back, now my best Restaurant to impress my friends.

Great place, fun atmosphere and great food. Its a unique place that we will defiantly visit again but would not recommend it for a quiet or romantic evening. The restaurant has more of a busy modern feel. Their outdoor space is beautiful and perfect for enjoying the beautiful Florida winter weather.

Wow! Amazing place! The food was delicious! Expensive but very worth it. Service was awesome as well! Definitely recommend this place!

The service was amazing! The food was great, and their drinks were also great! No complaints at all. We ate outside and enjoyed it. Dessert 🍪 and milk, we added the ice cream and it was amazing. …

Super hip place! Not sure if the name is based off of how good their meat selection is or there you go to pick up fresh meat! But I recommend it for both reasons 🤪 …

We visited the Meat Market last night and was very impressed by the management & staff on how accommodating they were. Even during the Pandemic this place was packed inside & out, very beautiful place. We tried the oysters & they was on point. The Bone marrow, tuna tartare & chips for appetizers was also good. I passed on my tomahawk just to try their House steak the Picanha which I’ve never seen on any steakhouse menu before. I must say it was deliciously tender cooked perfectly medium. That coming from a diehard tomahawk ribeye fan, which I’ll be trying on my next visit. Actually the only negative about this fine establishment is that the bartenders measure their drinks, unusual to see and you can tell in the drinks. All high end restaurants I’ve visited do a generous pour. Overall 4.5.

5/5 for me! Last night I took a customer to Meat Market for dinner and we were IMPRESSED! The food, atmosphere, and vibe was amazing. Nate and Daniel made sure we were taken care of and recommend some great items on the menu. We ended up getting the Tomahawk, bone marrow, lobster mashed, brocalini, and cookies and icecream (A MUST TRY).
I ordered a Some Like it Hot drink and the presentation was literally fire!!

Loved the service and food wasnt bad but we had a tapas style with apps at our party which isnt always my favorite. What we had was good though
Enrique
Everything was delicious and the service is top notch. Definitely a place to check out in South Tampa and then walk it off in Hyde Park

My wife & I visit Meat Market for the first time the other day. We were very impressed by the knowledge and attention to details from our servers. We ordered the 30oz wagyu tomahawk to share and without lying, it was the best steak we've had in Tampa. The Brussels sprouts were also very good, however is on the small side, not quite adequate to share. I'd say the negative was the check in process. It was kinda hectic with small waiting area, we also had to wait 30min before we were seated. All in all we had a wonderful experience, good vibe, excellent food, just need a little polishing here and there (I ordered Cognac and it came out in a big shot glass instead of a snifter). Still, highly recommended, the wagyu tomahawk alone is worth a visit.

Service was top notch- Morgan & Kenzie were incredible!
Food was solid- lobster & crab cake was very nice. Chocolate chip cookies were perfect.

Summary: Amazing Atmosphere with better than average food.
We came here for our anniversary and the atmosphere was wonderful but very loud. It was a Saturday night, so very much expected. The appetizer was delicious. We then led into a very expensive steak that didn’t live up to the price. It was saved by the amazing dessert. The wine we ordered (Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon) was the best wine you could possibly have. Not too dry and not sweet. Worth the price!
Wagyu Dumplings: absolutely delicious. Super crispy on the outside with a delicious meat filling. 5/5
30 oz Wagyu Beef Tomahawk Ribeye: the meat was not super tender but decent. I don’t think it was worth the $100 price tag. I think it was just because of the presentation that it was charged the way it was. 3/5
Crispy Brussel Sprouts: delicious crispy brussel sprouts with a nice sweet note. 4/5
Truffle cream corn: disappointing because we barely tasted the truffle in what seemed like a regular creamed corn. 2/5
Mushrooms: great mix of mushrooms with a good texture to them. 4/5
Pumpkin Pie Choux Bomb: this was absolutely delicious. So light in texture and the filling was so flavourful with the right amount of spice. The choux was soft and the cookie crumbles on top were a wonderful texture and taste addition. Wish this wasn’t seasonal. 5/5

Went for dinner 2/22/2022 and was seated in the area next to the street, kind of like a 'porch' area just outside main seating area. The music was so loud we could not have a conversation across the table, so asked if music could be turned down. Wait staff asked management and they declined to reduce the loud music. We were quickly moved to street side where there was no music. Wait staff in this area agreed that the music sound level was abusive and they were glad they didn't have to serve in that area.
We would have left if we couldn't have been shifted to a more reasonable part of the restaurant.
Food was excellent, wait staff was excellent, wine and drinks were excellent. The only food miss was the lobster mac and cheese. No lobster, below average taste, pass on this one.
Pricey but it is 'the destination'.

Great menu selection, food and atmosphere ! Umami duck is delicious! Will be back for trying another items from the menu

I had an excellent restaurant experience. Kyle, the mixologist, made THE BEST praline (and fig) old fashion I have EVER had. Excellent!!!! I'd go back today just for the drink. Our servers were Chris and Dave...they were soooooo much fun! The service was great and the food was awesome! I am completely satisfied with my visit and will definitely be returning. My only con was that the music was too loud (for me), but it seemed to be fine for everyone else.

I’d like to recognize Rob for accommodating my party and I. There was an miscommunication with my reservations. Rob really made my birthday dinner really special. Lily Ana Kelvin waited our table and also made my night really special. I live on the east coast of FL and came over bc I’ve heard such great reviews and I must say my experience superseded my expectations! I’ll be back

This was my first time come here and I was impressed by the service and how delicious the food was. It’s not everytime I go to a restaurant where I enjoy everything that I ordered, but wow it was all delicious. It was such a good experience that I enjoyed paying my bill 😂🤣. Definitely a great spot to take a women. Highly Recommended!!!! …

We eat yesterday evening at the restaurant and food was delicious. Ordered a to-go order but hostess forgot to include that order when she boxed our remaining food. We realized the mistake the following day and contacted the restaurant. Initially, they identified they would not honor my request for another order. When I came back to the restaurant and informed the manager I was pleasantly surprised that he provided the meal carte blanche. This gesture was greatly appreciated and made the drive back worthwhile. Manager was cordial and apologized for me having to come back the next day. If you are looking for a place to dine that has ambience and very tasty food I recommend Meat Market

Amazing upper level restaurant. Expect to pay $$, and expect to see some familiar famous faces..we saw a few buccaneers. There is a special room that is closed off and they do not allow photos in the whole restaurant. Reservations only and book in advance.

Had a great dinner. We took outside seating, weather was perfect, Service was awesome, food was fresh and full of flavor. Priced right. It’s worth visit

The food was amazing and so was the atmosphere. The cocktails are were out of this world and they might have my favorite old fashion drink I have ever had. The service at the dinner table was great but the bartenders were very pretentious not so much the gentleman bartender but all of the lady’s treated me and my wife and friends with the look like “why are you talking to me”. Also please make a reservation because this place gets packed.

I went here last night the waitress Savanna stood behind me(for 40min) . No “sorry we r so busy, ill be with u in an hour “ NOTHING. acknowledgement by anyone. I just sat there. Finally after repeatedly watching her …. Stand behind me. I called her over. She said “Im not your waitress but I can help you”. It took 40 minutes to Order 2 drinks! By the time i was served it took an 53mintes to get 2 drinks that were terrible. I asked for the check immediately I paid $73. And left both drinks untouched at the bar top. Terrible Service.

Went here the other night to celebrate my 24th birthday. Really enjoyed the restaurant location and the food. I had the filet with lobster mashed potatoes that were delicious! The dessert was also good. Also saw John Cena eating dinner with his wife! Would have loved to ask for a picture but didn't want to bother him on his date lol

A great lunch in a beautiful area. Nearly perfect. Great menu, decent service. I had the 4oz churassco and Frites with refreshing Tito's and mint drink that I don't recall the name of.

Best Churrasco you can find in town. Only issue is finding parking so definitely get there early. I love to go for special occasions the cookie is amazing.

Honestly one of my favorite places in tampa! The brunch is amazing & dinner gets even better i have never been disappointed here ❤️

My first time dining at this place and I was hesitant. I had a few friends that really liked this place and also said it was overrated. I will say I think it all depends on your plate.
My husband and I ordered the NY prime steak ‘medium well’. However, we weren’t aware that they char grill their meat so we did feel our meat was over cooked.
Our waiter Aaron was so amazing (professional and friendly) and did a great job at recommending the best plates as well as being so patient with us. The manager for the night really went above and beyond for us in making sure our meal was right and what we wanted. Overall, the food here was incredible. The brussel sprouts and the truffle mash was so yummy. We had a good experience :)
Carolyn Richardson
Everything was great, however, we ordered the Rockefeller and it was more bread than Oyster. Not what I paid for.
Ricardo Lopez
Great atmosphere and staff...but missed the mark on the most important aspect.
We were a party of 6. Our appetizers were very good, the drinks were great, the restaurant ambiance was spectacular, and the vibe was superb. However my medium rare steaks were cooked almost well done. Our waitress (who was awesome) and the dinning room manager offered to have the steaks re-done, but I didn't want my party to wait on me and I absolutely hate to throw away food (especially steaks). In a restaurant like this I don't expect this kind of huge error to happen (maybe one level to the right or left, but not all the way to well done). The staff did send us a free desert to share, but that didn't really fix my $65 well-done steak. So there goes 3 perfectly cut steaks down the drain (along with my $65). We were having a good time in the restaurant, but the main event (food) lowered my "fun-level" a lot.
Next time I want a good steak I will stay with the regulars: Charley's, Berns, or Council Oak.
Breanna Drollinger
This place, while pricey, is worth going to again FOR SURE! The food was absolutely amazing. I didn’t think a bowl of cream of asparagus soup could ever be THAT good. I won’t lie, when I order the steak trio and it showed up my friend and I both thought “this is it?” But it was actually filling!

Went here for brunch on a Saturday. Good tasting food, but very small portions for extremely high prices. If you are looking for an intimate setting this is probably NOT the place to go. It was slammed with people, tables and chairs everywhere into every nook and cranny, you practically had to yell to talk to the person across the table from you because it was so loud.
Joshua Taylor
Nice atmosphere, seating is VERY close. I felt like I had a date with another couple. the price I think is pretty high for the food quality. I paid $160 for me and my wife and it was good but not great!

I’m a Flight Attendant and was in town for work. Had a pretty long layover and was looking for somewhere to have brunch with my crew. We came across Meat Market and thought it looked good, but it ended up being perfect! I had the French toast and it was amazing. The mimosas were delicious and presented beautifully. Most of all, however, the staff was extremely personable and friendly. It’s not often I ask to take a selfie with the servers. Definitely 5 star experience and I can’t wait to visit again!
Stacy Wrenn
Above and beyond my expectations! Everything was delicious and by far the friendliest staff ever! Highly reccomend!

Would love to rate a 5 but every visit to this spectacular restaurant the staff at the front desk to check in are unprofessional and unattentive. With such a strict dress code check their site I'd expect the half naked females at hostess station to not be allowed in. Seems hypocritical to the dress code they strongly enforce.
Now the great... if you aren't turned off by the staff you encounter at first your meal and service by the waiters and waitresses are phenomenal. Our last visit on a Sunday both waiters were attentive and kind. Food was hands down delish! I will return.
Nina N T
Ignore the bad reviews. For a high end restaurant, with an upbeat and classy atmosphere a dress code that is enforced is reasonable.
Not only is the food good, service is as well.
I come in for dinner and brunch frequently. Manager Rob is extremely professional and helpful. I have always had great experiences and all my servers are on point.
Karen Brams
I have been to the Meat Market 3 times now and my servers each time were awesome and on task. A well trained team. Was able to answer all my questions and on task with fun energy each time. I really tested them and was very impressed. We had escargot for an appetizer, Pittsburgh style Filet with béarnaise sauce, Salmon and a crazy awesome Meatloaf. Their menu is very creative. I can see why it's hard to get reservations so book early. OMGosh, they have a Cinnamon Roll that you must try with Ice Cream and nuts. It is out of this world. My service was impeccable. Bonus Feature...Great atmosphere and the place to be seen. They are very popular so book early or try to reach out to someone directly.

Went there for late lunch on a Friday. Lots of people there and all around Hyde Park Village. All the food is great - some of it very pricey. Had the sea bass which was superb. Wife had the turkey & brie sandwich which was also excellent. It was loud but not so much that you couldn't talk and be heard. For all the crowd, the waitstaff did a great job.

Fast efficient service and great food. High class and service.

Server was awesome and very knowledgeable of menu and gave great recommendations. Food was delicious and the drinks were great as well

Made a reservation to celebrate my birthday here on a Tuesday night. Specifically made the reservation for outside but was seated inside when we arrived. This wouldn’t have been a big deal except we were informed that the happy hour was only available if you were sitting outside. The happy hour was the entire reason I chose to come here and I would have selected somewhere else had I known. I asked if there was any way to be moved outside or get the happy hour honored inside and was told it wasn’t possible. I was super disappointed but it didn’t seem like there was anything we could do so we just stayed inside. The chairs were super squishy which meant you ended up being uncomfortably low for the heigh of the table. Our waitress was super nice and informative and the food was tasty.
Beatrice Gort
I should start by saying that I booked a reservation incorrectly and there was no problem accommodating my party of four, even though my other two friends never showed they still left my tables open. And I had two different waiters making sure we were comfortable and had everything we ordered. My reservation was for outside but the made it happen at a very comfortable and cool area inside. I couldn't have had a better experience. To top it off I had the oysters and escargot and both were exquisite.
Tara Mendez
The best tomahawk steak I have ever tasted in my entire life. Especially with the truffle butter the waiter recommended. And the service was excellent as well.

Interesting vibe, mood and atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly, persistent and very accommodating. The food was as expected but the kitchen did mess up the temperature on the sides. Overall a great place to pass some time if you don’t mind the price tag

Garrett and Angela took great care of us! We had a large birthday group and they were so attentive and helpful to us! Great experience!!! Would definitely recommend!

Very slow to bring your food or drinks out. Even during weekday lunch with less than half occupancy it takes a ridiculously long time. They also forget what you ask for constantly. What’s the point of having server assistants if they forget what you asked for?
Aiden Khademi
It was a drunk girl sitting next to us was yelling and bothers everyone and nobody cares about it I expect when you dine in upscale restaurants who has dress code they address and warn drunk women who yell and bother other guests since we didnot want to dine in low class bars .
Mathew Newman
Hands down best dining experience I've ever had! Thanks for a great anniversary meal :)

Absolutely enjoyed this place. The DJ was phenomenal, felt like I was in South Beach. Our drinks and food were delicious. I can't wait to go back.

High end and elegant!!
Love the Miami feel of this restaurant. The food and service is 5 star. We had, 2 managers well dressed come up to our table and let us know that if we needed any they were available...we didn't have to ask for any refills or anything...the waitress and staff are stellar. Business casual attire and however you choose to dress up you will not be over dressed. The guest came to spend and play hard 🤗🤗

I was disappointed with this restaurant. First off I want to say the drinks are amazing, we ordered the some like it hot, the sandia, and pretty in pink. They were all great. We got the BBQ Wagyu beef ribs and the meat fell off the bone but that was the best thing we ate. For dinner we ordered the Wagyu tomahawk rib eye, roasted asparagus, and tater tots. First, we had to ask for salt, which was a first for me at a restaurant of this caliber. The tater tots were bland and the ribeye was honestly nothing special. Lastly, I know there are reviews that talk about the wait but I ordered my first few drinks at the bar, then ordered a drink when we sat down and never received it. Just overall underwhelming.

Service was impeccable. Knowledgeable advice on the menu, food was delicious.

It's a hip modern steakhouse with a young staff. It was almost full on the Tuesday evening I was there, most of the clientele were younger than what you get at a classic steakhouse. It is a little noisy, as you would expect. The prices are just a notch high to match the atmosphere and friendly/non-snobby service, which was appreciated. I didn't think the food was particularly outstanding. I had a bison tenderloin, which may have been a bad choice. The grilled kale salad was good, but it tasted more like smoke flavor than grilled flavor, YMMV. The friends I was with had beef and they really liked it. I was disappointed with how dry the cake was that I had for dessert. It's worth going, but it should not be on your list of top places in Hyde Park.

There’s a lot of great things about this restaurant. First, the food is just fantastic. You pay $15 for a side of broccoli, but it’s a large portion and it’s absolutely delicious. Drinks are well made too. Second, the service was amazing. Everything came out quick and fast. If you dropped a piece of food on the table someone came by within a minute with a napkin to pick it up. But I may dare to say, the service was almost TOO good. We sat near the servers station and it was rather overwhelming. There is wait staff EVERYWHERE!! It seemed like there was more waiters than customers, and it came off as very fast paced and busy. Might just be the atmosphere but we were hoping for a bit more of a relaxing environment for a nice steak restaurant. Instead we found ourselves distracted watching the waiters instead of talking amongst ourselves. From that we watched as a waiter left crying, another one dropped a glass, and one of the managers was on his phone quite a bit. This stuff is obviously everyday things within a restaurant, but I noticed it much more then usual because of the atmosphere. Which leads me to my next point, and probably what I was bothered by the most. You have this upscale steak restaurant where all the wait staff is dressed in suits and then you have the hostess - a 19 year old girl dressed in a very, VERY small leather dress. I’m a 23 year old girl and it even made me uncomfortable. I’m not going to a club or a bar, I’m trying to take my mom out for a nice birthday dinner and it’s just sort of strange. Everyone else is dressed in pants and long sleeve shirts, then you have one or two girls dressed in hardly anything? It just takes away from the professionalism of a nice restaurant and shouldn’t be the very first thing you notice walking in. But maybe that’s just personal preference. All in all the place was good, just weird quirks I don’t really understand that took away from the 5 star experience

Wow. Great atmosphere. Great service. Amazing food. Thank you Eddie Generelli for your recommendation.

I went last night and the hostesses were not very professional and also messed up our table but the service made up for it and the food was very very good. I did feel like their bartenders had too much to do because I kept having to wave them down to get service but when I did get service it was very good. Also. It is VERY loud. Please get a noice canceling something. Because it's a romantic place and I don't want to shout like I'm at a sports bar. Please. Thank you. Great job otherwise love it.

Always a good experience. Day or night. Weekday or weekend ❤️🍷💃

Ribeye was subpar. Regular man and cheese delish. Cookies with Nutella and malted milk was wonderful.

Legit! This place has Michelin level food, mean and unique drinks, classy ambiance and excellent staff with managers that are serious about service and are on top of their game!
Crowd is classy with no complexities and you feel like you’re in the right place. Need to book way in advance for dinners though because there’s always a crowd.

Meat market has cultivated a nightlife, see-and-be-seen vibe that isn't for everyone. That said, I've never had a bad dish or cocktail. Not many places can pull off cool and quality at the same time but MM seems to do it.
Be prepared to pay a premium and sometimes struggle to hear over the music. If you want to eat good food at one of the status spots of Tampa, it'll be worth it.
Braxton Bone
Absolutely fabulous. Great food and exceptional service!

Went here for my gf’s birthday and they made it very special. The dessert was delicious and the service was phenomenal. Aaron and the rest of the crew did an amazing job. The service is what makes this place exceptional.
However, reason why I give this place 3 stars is because for the price I just wasn’t impressed by the Wagyu steak that I got. The ribs were better than the steak. Spoke to a few others in our party and for the price, it just doesn’t blow your mind. The steak was a bit dry and just not seasoned. Ordered some butter to go with it and nothing. The lobster mac wasn’t anything special either.
Wouldn’t mind coming back for a cocktail and maybe the wagyu ribs (appetizer) but other than that the price doesn’t justify the quality and amount of food you get.
FTF WORLDWIDE
I really enjoyed the desert menu here at Meat Market! The cinnamon roll was top of the line and the Nutella cookie has to be my favorite! When it comes to steakhouses in the Tampa Bay area the dessert here is the best! I would highly recommend Shaelyn as your server as well! She is well worth your tip, always intentional and makes sure you are well aware of what the best desserts are on the menu! Go Meat Market!!
Sophia Fiorini
The food was incredible, the decor is beautiful. Service was very slow, but maybe they were understaffed due to COVID? However after paying big bucks for a nice steak dinner at a high end restaurant, I didn’t expect the wait staff/hostesses to be gossiping about other wait staff and vaping in the bathroom right in front of me… I am willing to go back and give it another try, but we’ll probably take Meat Market off our restaurant list if we hear all the staff drama again.
Loren Michelle Rayburn
One of my favorite brunch spots in Tampa. Adore their cocktails and their food is so delish.
Arleen Green
What can I say about this place? It is a 5 star dinning. From the building, decorations, service and the food is fresh. I have ordered almost everything from the menu and everything is always good. If you like to look at sexy people, this place has it all.
Q8Pilot
The service is simply outstanding here. This is a really different experience where the food, service abd staff are of the highest quality. The food is tasty offering a range of succulent seafood as well as stakes. It can get quite loud which is not my preference but it is certainly worth the experience. Highly recommend.
Mariah Leyva
I lovvveeed the food. Great atmosphere. It was busy but service was great.
Danialle Riggins
Excellent food and perfect service. The hostesses need some help.

Decided to try a new steak house that we haven't been to yet for our 5 year anniversary and it didn't disappoint! The service was outstanding. Our waiter Johnathan was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the wine selection. There was even another gentleman that came over and re-folded my wife's dinner napkin while she stepped away to use the restroom. Little details like that do not go unnoticed and truly set apart a restaurant with great service from mediocrity. The steaks were great as well as the sides. I recommend the scalloped potatoes with goat cheese! Wine selection was great. Was not too crowded at all on a Monday evening. Great experience overall!
Ceacret Crush (Tee)
My first time here. Service was great male waiter had sense of humor...female not so much otherwise very nice and clean desserts were AWESOME and I liked the fish of the day triple tail ceviche. Oh and that shrimp cocktail had a kind of spice to where it will clear your sinuses...Loved it!!!

Normally and excellent restaurant. I’ve been a client in 3/4 of their location. For whatever reason today something was not working. The steak it was dry, the share side dishes came almost when we all have finish our plate and the salmon I this were either in Norway or Alaska fishing because came out last when the steak was literally cold. Taste of food always great but service was awful. Place always packed and drinks amazing
Samantha Hatton
Love coming here and sitting outside. A server had called in sick that day so though the service was too quality, it was a pretty slow. Great wine list by the bottle and the glass. They do fish well, but their steaks are really where they excel.
Carmen M
Quite the indelible experience. The vibe the second you walk in really hits you. (thank you for enforcing dress code). It's nice to get dressed up and go out with other patrons that do the same. The food was phenomenal as were the drinks (wine & espresso martini); HOWEVER, the service was the best I have received in quite some time. Thank you Chad and team. We will definitely be back and recommend.
Luke Ernst
Excellent meal and very attentive service. I would recommend trying the roasted escargot as an appetizer.

I don’t understand how this restaurant is rated a 4.0 on Google. The food is excellent every time. The Meat Market is an upscale restaurant with a fun atmosphere, and the food is consistently great! What more can you ask for? IMO, the experience is worth every penny. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Tampa.

This is a great place, very beautiful & great location! My friends & I dined for Sunday Champagne Brunch & received exceptional service by our waiter, Josh. He was very genuine & helpful when advising what was best to try. Everything was delicious! I had the Cuban Pork Crossaint sandwich. Highly recommend trying, along with the Hunny Bunny drink!
Esther Shires
The food was very good The tuna I ate was delicious as were the roasted mushrooms and my husband's sea bass was also excellent. Although the food was good it was a bit pricey. The servers were great. Very attentive. The atmosphere was overwhelmingly loud. It was difficult trying to hear the server as well as the others at the table. The corner table we were sat at was not six feet away from the next table. And when we were leaving it was difficult getting out the door for the people all gathered there and not wearing masks.
Eric Cole
5 of us had 5 different things and no one was that happy. It was decent, atmosphere was fun, service was good but reached over all of us constantly interrupting conversation and expensive. I spend half my life in restaurants for business. I wouldn't be in a rush to come back here. Sent my salmon back twice and it came out raw in middle both times. How does that happen, frozen?
Kevin Whitcomb
Amazing food and service. David Tornek and Chef Sean Brasel are the best. Be sure to order the Seafood tower....... Incredible
Barbara Brown
Great food, busy atmosphere. Definitely make a reservation.

Words can't describe the phenomenal experience I had tonight! Amazing service. Great atmosphere and architecture. The filet might was to die for! The waiters did a great job at keeping the table clean and giving us new forks after our appetizers. The homemade bread was warm, fresh and heavenly amazing. Highly recommend. I will definitely be coming back

An steady 3.5. Sorry to say that since I really like to explore new places close to where I live. Stephanie the hostess was rude and wanted to seat us by the walkway... I mean I would not mind seating outside or anywhere if the place was full but it was actually pretty empty at the time we arrived. Also, if they want to seat patrons on the sidewalk then they need to put some kind of separation because people walk with their dogs and some are tall enough... they can sniff on one's food. I guess who ever is in charge of assigning tables has not think about that. Our server was ok but she rushed us to leave by bringing the tab when we still wanted to order more drinks. I knew the food was ok but the service is less than ok. So overall, I think this place is overvalued and if they really wanna pretend they are upscale then they need to step up in the quality of service they deliver.
Jennifer Steed
We went with friends to celebrate a birthday. The food was great. Our server, Elena, was outstanding. After a very unfortunate introduction to the restaurant at our arrival --we were greeted for our 330p reservation and rudely told we had 10 minutes to find something to order because the kitchen was closing to prepare for dinner service--Elena was kind, professional, and a true gold star. She made what surely would have been a terrible evening into something wonderful with her kindness.
**Don't make a reservation after 3pm or until 5pm. The restaurant would improve greatly in my mind if they would follow these rules as well.
Albert Tierney
Went for dinner last night to celebrate my birthday, I left feeling we made a great choice! The building has a great atmosphere while the service was some of the best I’ve ever received. I highly suggest having the octopus on the app menu along with the tomahawk steak for dinner, great cut of meat! For dessert don’t pass up the cookies and milk!
Thank you to Meat Market for a wonderful birthday celebration with delicious food! Nothing better than being surrounded by the ones you love and a great steak to celebrate your birthday!
Emma Hopegood
I was very excited to go to Meat Market in Tampa. I’d heard great things about it from friends. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because a waitress spilled a full glass of wine on me. I purchased the outfit I was wearing just a few hours prior so this was particularly disappointing. The manager came over immediately and gave me his card if the stains wouldn’t come out. Unfortunately they didn’t, but Kyle was great in handling the situation and reimbursement me the full price of a new blouse. Because of this professionalism I will continue recommend the meat market to friends and family that visit the area despite this experience. The Brussels sprouts are amazing and the truffle potatoes are delicious. The steak was good and I think the prices matched the atmosphere.

We tried meat market on a whim for my husband’s birthday when we were unable to book a reservation far enough in advance for Bern’s. I’ll be honest - it started off rough. Most people here are complaining about the hostesses and the dress code but they were actually very friendly in my opinion and I appreciate a dress code at a high end place to keep the ambience elevated. However, ***Do yourself a favor and when you book a reservation request a table that does NOT include that horrible bench on the back wall*** I thought my husband was exaggerating when he sat down and said it was uncomfortable and he was sinking down too much so I switched with him. And yeah, it was BAD! And I’m young and have no posture issues. Luckily they do offer booster cushions (lol) which does help immensely but makes it quite clear this is a known issue with this establishment and obviously requires replacement or repair ASAP. They also cram it in just a tad much with the other guests.. they legit had the back of someone’s head seated an actual inch away from my the side of husband’s face. Not appealing even pre covid. However, the staff made themselves very available and were extremely attentive to our needs we were able to move us further down the bench once another table left. Both waiters, our lead, Joe and the backup, Ana, and the manager were all very very accommodating and we do appreciate it.
Joe was the best. He went above and beyond to make my husband’s birthday dinner the best possible after we had dealt with those other uncomfortable annoyances. He was funny, informative and personable. The manager also checked up on us all night to make sure we were having a good experience.
All in all - the food was good but not our absolute favorite. We are regulars at ocean prime, Eddie v’s, Charley’s and a few other high end steak houses so we do have high expectations.. but I did appreciate their unique take on the same steakhouse sides! They have a huge sides selection which is awesome and a bunch of different daily specials which is a unique touch. It is a longer experience so be prepared.. we were seated at 5:45 and left around 8:30. But, the longer time between food was better for digestion so we didn’t leave overly stuffed!

First time at this restaurant. Excellent customer service, friendly atmosphere, great food. The seabass is the best. Our tomahawk steak was overcooked but the lobster mash potatoes made up for it. The manager on staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our server Nick was amazing. Now our favorite restaurant in Tampa❤
Liana Garcia
I love this restaurant! Great food, great service, great atmosphere. It’s a steakhouse but has a variety of different foods. Definitely more high end, but worth the money! They are strict on dress code, but when you book a reservation they make sure that you know of it before coming in. I would recommend booking a few weeks in advance to make sure that you lock in a spot, especially with a larger party.

New to the area and picked Meat Market to celebrate an anniversary. Overall the food was good and we were happy with the choice, but I wasn't blown away.
The other reviews are right, it does feel like a nightclub in there. Loud music and people moving around everywhere; very distracting.
The drinks were excellent. My fiance loved her glass of wine and both cocktails I ordered were great - recommend the pretty in pink!
Both appetizers were incredible. Do yourself a favor and get the wagyu dumplings. Dinner itself was good but not great. I got the steak trio that was on special and every single piece was overcooked. I think they struggle to cook smaller cuts, as my fiance's wagyu filet was perfectly cooked. Broccolini was good but tasted heavily of liquid smoke. Goat cheese scalloped potatoes were the bomb.
Service was superb, Austin and Haley (maybe?) took great care of us. Overall everything was good but not quite what I'd expect for the price point. ($315+tip)
Stephanie P
Parties larger than 9 people have to use limited menu. Calls to confirm reservation include a list of "dont's" pertaining to attire and timeliness. Seafood tower had a bit of a sketchy smell which was surprising considering we spent $3500 on our tab you'd expect nothing but the best. Flaming drink was brought with a plastic straw in it 🤦🏽♀️ and an appetizer that we cancelled almost immediately was brought to the table several times. Table snack of fancy corn nuts was delish and my filet with truffle butter and brussel sprouts was good too. I think they should scale back on the rules and allow people to enjoy the vibe of the restaurant.
Krystal S
Beautiful decor and ambiance, service was very good. Water was served at room temperature. My medium rare strip was served medium well while my husbands medium rare house cut was served rare. They name themselves as a steak house but obviously do not know how to cook steak. Would be better off going to one of the high end chains for the steak. Maybe seafood if good is here? It looked good...
Julie Murphy
We enjoyed our visit, the service was excellent! The management and wait staff were attentive and accommodating. The food however was fair. The escargot was perfect. The steaks were cooked nicely but lacked flavor and the texture was chewy. The seasoning was ok but the steak itself had little flavor The sides, scalloped potatoes and wood fired mushrooms, were not seasoned and had very little flavor as well. The mushrooms were very over cooked. Not sure if we'll be back.
Mac Ernst (ChefMac)
Food and cocktails were great. Waiters were extremely attentive and fun.

It's okay. Food came out cold. For what they charge you would expect an "experience".
Seems some guests get more attention than others.

Update for 2022: I'm upping to five stars because no one knocked me on the head repeatedly this time. I sat safely in a corner booth. While I was disappointed to learn the furry walls were not genuine Muppet, the food was obviously delicious. My friend was again inappropriately descriptive about her love of the sea bass. Drinks were top notch.
Previous: First time here, and it was very nice. It is a typical upscale steakhouse experience that you would expect with varied and tasty options. The portions I felt were too small, but everything was very delicious. Travis was a fantastic server, had a lot of information about the menu, was enthusiastic about the food, and was attentive. The only thing I would suggest is if you have a choice, do not sit in a table out on the open floor. I got knocked in the head three times by passing staff walking behind our table, once knocking the clip out of my hair completely. Lastly, get the dessert cookie. Don't go with malted milk, get the Nutella stuffed chocolate chip cookie with ice cream instead. Travis was right, and you will not regret it.

So happy we gave Meat Market restaurant another chance! Last night from our wonderful greeting when we arrived - to the gracias and professional hostess that let us pick our own outside table- to the service once we sat down- to the perfect NYC- meets Hyde Park restaurant guests - to our exquisite food, Oysters (Rockefellers & Raw) Gigantic Yummy Shrimp Cocktail, amazing Filet Mignon with Lobster Mash. We couldn't stop there and ended with the sherbet trio w/ fruit dessert!
*** Lastly and most importantly, I mentioned I had an egg allergy- the chef and team made sure everything was triple- checked and allergen friendly!

This was my wife and I anniversary and our first time experiencing Meat Market Steakhouse. The ambiance is wonderful, especially at sunset. For appetizers we shared the rib and jalapeño coleslaw, and babaaayyy, that coleslaw and rib combo was made for people who enjoy Frankie Beverly and Maze, because I had Happy Feelings with every bite. For the main entrees my wife had the Wood Grilled Scottish Salmon, and I had the Meatloaf. The meatloaf was blackened to perfection, and when I ate it with the mash potatoes I knew right then that we were going to come back again. Our servers were nice, attentive, and genuine.

Outstanding experience! Will go again. Everything was fantastic. Service was excellent.

Wonderful food. Excellent steaks, reasonable prices in a classy space. Great service.
gipsypanther1
First time trying the place want to make a light dinner out of three appetizers started with Scargo which arrived before my glass of wine that I ordered way before, it was okay Scargo but the toast were burn then I moved out to tuna tartare which it was perfect, spotless, fresh and I loved the touch of mango puree, the bone marrow arrived at the same time, bone marrow was good but the sauce was awful it had so much vinegar straight up vinegar in there that makes you cough and sneeze toast were burned as well and and briskets on top of the bone marrow's were so dry probably they use that much of vinegar to mask the taste of the briskets which had none.
Server was very polite but she had no knowledge of wine and timing for service which I see it lack of training by the management overall the place is very overpriced for what it is and that's what we get in Tampa because there is not much of competition.

This place is my home. I’m here 3x a week and I’m never disappointed. Get the Lychee Martini 🍸. IYKYK.

The food was very good and the service was beyond excellent. My girlfriend got the prime short rib dinner which looked and smelled incredible but was fatty. Without hesitation the manager replaced with another meal which was a steak. The steak was great. I had the meatloaf which tasted great. The atmosphere was very comfortable and cozy. The only negative I have is the guy at the hostess stand made us feel like we were inconveniencing him by being there before 5 and requesting a certain area in the restaurant. We will go again. We had dressed casual but next time will dress up a bit more.

Excellent service, food was amazing, it is pricey but you are getting amazing quality in food, drinks and service. Garrett was amazing!! Was super attentive to our party and never missed anything. 10/10 recommend 🤗 …

Wonderful service and experience from start to finish. Was greeted by a lovely hostess with an amazing positive attitude. Server Aaron was quick and efficient and most importantly made us feel right at home. Vladdy Daddy gives 5 Stars and 2 Thumbs Up! A+. Atmosphere is great, but trying to bring more or a Miami vibe to Tampa. Went here for Sunday Brunch at noon, place wasnt packed but service was slow. Understand had some issues, but quality of service lacked from the server, to the bartenders, to the kitchen, to management for fixing issues. We had to wait 40 minutes for a Bison cheeseburger, while our whole group ate, and then the wrong burger came out. It was comped, so thanks for that.
But got an email this week about the M lounge their new clubby vibe. Maybe right now slowdown and go back to roots before trying new endeavors.

Honestly, this is my third time coming here. The vibe and food is amazing! However, I have to call out the manager on duty this evening at front entrance. He wouldn’t allow me to enter due to the fact that I’m a male wearing chino shorts, which is fine I understand certain places have dress codes. I was told that I had to go change into pants to eat here and that I could go to the store down the street and buy pair and then return them after dinner. My issue with the whole dress code situation was that the lady who was with me was literally wearing the same outfit as me, chino shorts and a short sleeve woven top and was wearing a hat and there was no issue with her attire. Also, the lady at the table next to us was wearing a cotton sun dress and flip flops and the gentleman at the other table next to us was wearing the same type of chino shorts and didn’t get spoken to about it. To make matters worse, the restaurant allowed a small dog to literally eat at the table (adorable but gross at the same time). I did receive a comp item on my bill, which was appreciated for the inconvenience. However, if they are going to follow a dress code they need to follow the same dress code for all parties.

Absolutely loved this place! Very high end quality food, loved the Ceasar Salad and Steaks! Okay drinks for my style. Service was attentive and kind.

My partner and I have been numerous times to the meat market and have enjoyed very much the food and the ambiance it has, but we were disappointed by how many people were dressed in a beach like maner not expected in a restaurant of its caliber, which has a dress code. Summer dressing can also be dressed up in comfort.
Those who which it to be in a more casual Beach like ambiance do have other options to choose from with no standards, but many like us.that like to be around fine dressed individuals in this special place, expect it to be more that just a food experience, and expect those in it to be dressed at the level others expect it to be. Its not about how much money you have, its about having a sence of class, as we are so often so overly relaxed in our dressing in our daily routine lifestyle. us. Will be there soon to enjoy another evening of good food.

Food was delicious and service was friendly. Hostess was weird. She stared at my boyfriend's shoes for a few seconds as soon we walked in (?). I mean, 1) if you want to provide good customer service you should pay attention to the person not their shoes. I understand there's a dress code and he was totally fine, so we didn't understand the look. 2) The hostesses themselves dressed up like if they were ready to go a club (just note: it was a Thu afternoon). In my honest opinion and just to add to this topic, they should be consistent if they want to require any sort of dress code. Bern's for example has a dress code, but their employee's are professional and there's consistancy. I was impressed at the hypocrisy of this place.

Simply NOT that great of a steak place. However, there are plenty of good looking people walking around and dining. I felt like I was back in Beverly Hills Cali again....I ordered the Wagyu $$$, wasn’t like I had before at other establishments, it lacked marbling, tenderness and flavor. I will stick with aged steak...Lots of condiments/sides to enhance the flavor/experience $$$$. Again, I paid for experience and the good living/people watching.. Suggestion ask to be seated at the outside area, take in all the Hyde park has to offer.

We really wanted to love this place. The first time we went, we sat at the bar and had appetizers and drinks. Although busy, the food and drinks were great (especially the short rib ravioli and wagyu dumplings). The second time around we made reservations for dinner with some friends and family. To make a long story short, we waited nearly 30 minutes to get seated after our reservation time. The service was sub par. It was almost as if we were an inconvenience. The food was decent (we all had steak), but nothing exceptional. Overall, there is just no warmth in the service. No one really made us feel welcome or was interested in providing good service. This place has potential to be a great spot but the service needs to improve to be a little more caring and attentive. We definitely won’t be back for dinner, but might grab drinks and apps at the bar.

This place is a hidden gem. ALERT! The Meat Market is a 5 star experience. Do not listen to the rating that is listed on Google. TJ and Lily provided the most exceptional service I could imagine. The fig old fashioned made my night it was soo smooth. The bluefin tuna app made me feel like I was a stones throw from the beach. The oysters my friend said were some of the best he's ever had. The steak trio and black bass were legitimately fabulous. Get the truffle butter it's worth. Thank you. I'll be back I can't wait.

I took someone here for their birthday, it was our first time dining in. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. When booking the reservation, a host told me there would be a birthday dessert brought out, just to remind the server. I had to ask the server about it twice, and the server got rude about it once brought up. He demanded to know the name of the host that said this about the desert and acted like it was an unordinary request. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary for the server to react the way he did. However, the server eventually said he would pick a desert and all of the food tasted incredible. The rating is not 5 stars simply because of how the server handled the special event.

Once you have dined here, every other restaurant is subpar. The service here is outstanding. The food equally outstanding. Every time I have vacationed in Florida I come here. Now I will be moving here next month and cannot wait to frequent this restaurant.

The manager was the highlight of our entire experience. Although we were disappointed to get outdoor seating despite requesting for a indoor seating a day ahead, the manager made up room for us to enjoy our dinner inside even though they were super busy. Food was great, specially the ribs.

The food was delicious but it’s just as important to be able to sit in a restaurant and have a calm conversation without the music blasting where you can’t hear a word from the people you’re with. If it’s their tactic for people to quickly eat and leave for higher turnover, definitely worked! Couldn’t wait to get out of there! It was so uncomfortable! Atmosphere is horrible!

Unpopular opinion; MM just isn’t that great. It was once fine for cocktails but now after enough discrimination complaints they’ve enacted an antiquated dress code which really cuts down on my desire to hang out there. The staff is beautiful but the food is incredibly rich and destroys my stomach, the worst part is the poor people who are eating and drinking there as a symbol of status, everything is over seasoned and very heavy. Parking is a nightmare and the bar closes too early. Food across the street at Wine Exchange is a third the price and twice as nice.

Had my Mothers Day Dinner.
I LOVED it.
Great service delicious food.
A little pricey for such small portions.
Surprisingly this is the first time in my life, we had warm water NO ice in.
All nigth we did not get to drink cold water...

Great service and a very “go here to be scene” vibe. Love the cocktails and appetizers. However, for a place with “meat” and “steakhouse” in the name, very disappointed in the steaks. We’ve been here a handful of times and every time the steaks are overcooked. Usually overdone by about one level (medium when it should’ve been medium rare). recently had a medium rare fillet delivered as well done. Management fixed the issue and apologized, but it seems to be an ongoing issue (I order the fish now).

This is how we "tailgate" before the Rolling Stones Concert! Dinner at the Meat Market Tampa with my Tuesday!! Started with Irish Point Oysters on the half shell, from Rustic, PEI off the Happy Hour menu with Tito's Handmade Dirty Martini and the House RED Sangria while waiting for the dinner menu at 5 PM! As our appetizer we went way off the chart and decided on Prime Roasted Bone Marrow, Short Rib, Cherry Marmalade and Grilled Sourdough Bread!! Very different but also very tasty! Nadeene chose the Pan Seared Triple Tail as her entree, with Eggplant & Baby Tomato Marmalade with RED Seafood Curry (on the side), Lemon Crema and Crispy Chickpeas!! Being at a steakhouse and a very upscale one at that, I decided on the Steak Trio, Marinated Wagyu Shoulder, Petite Buffalo Tenderloin and Petite Veal Tenderloin with Marrow Butter!! Our side dish was Truffle Creamed Corn which also was amazing!! Isn't everything with truffles always delicious? I also had a couple of glasses of the luscious 2018 Bella Union by Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley which was the perfect paring for an outstanding meal!! And of course for our sweet ending, it was a no brainer the Chocolate Tort Cake and Ice Cream!! This is how we ROCK 'n' ROLL!! Bon appetit!!!
Please remember to support your local businesses and restaurants during these strange and unusual times, they can all use our help!! Stay safe, stay healthy and take care of yourself and each other!!

Amazing atmosphere with exceptional service and great food! I highly recommend requesting Brittany or Savannah when making a reservation. These girls know attention to detail and hold the greatest quality of achieving customer service.

Food was pretty decent, ribs were juicy and tasty, tried their Australian wagyu tasted way different than the Japanese wagyu, less fat and more chewy, the chef did pretty good job, we enjoyed. However, noisy music made this place little uncomfortable to stay for long time. We received a message about their dress code, 'must be elegant', shockingly I saw their worker who only wear bra top walking around the dinning room. Hmm...., I assuming the dress code only enforced to customers.

Steve and Joel were great at informing me what options I had on the menu . I’m glad Steve advised me to try the raw oysters and I do not regret it . The oysters tasted like that came out the ocean literally and it tasted good it wasn’t to fishy or weird tasting . He kept making sure we were doing okay and Joel was awesome at making sure everything came out right and tasted fine .
Only little tiny problem was the no bacon on any of my food and there was on one of them but he made sure it didn’t happen again and we are human it happens and it was a very busy night .
Great job !!

The food is to die for. We had the wagyu steak and it was done perfectly. Also, one of the best old fashioned I’ve had.

Food was amazing! Great service, top notch. I came here twice because it was so good. You need to call for a reservation and there's a dress code for inside dining.

I absolutely LOVE Meat Market! MM is the ONLY place I eat steak! My favorite drink of all time is the Pretty in Pink. The atmosphere is a little loud but if you expect that going in, it’ll be a great experience, especially because the service is always amazing!

Service was great. The food was not as good as expected for the price. The lobster mac was burnt on top, so we had to remove the top. The mac just had a burnt flavor otherwise. The wagyu short ribs were good, but again, probably cooked a little too long. The tuna nachos are delicious, and the wagyu dumplings were good. Cocktails were great. I don't want to make this sound like a bad review, but we walked away unimpressed for the price.

Amazing food and drinks. Professional service and fun, chic atmosphere.

Exceptional service. The wagyu filet could be cut with a spoon!!! The dry aged blend in ribeye had a lot of flavor. Definitely recommend making a reservation. Save room for the milk and cookies! Food was also served in a very timely manner! The quality was wayyyyyyy better than berns by a long shot!
