A solid 3.5. We ordered 2 large pizzas and a medium. The pepperoni, 5 cheese and chicken bacon ranch. The crust and bread was good and the filling tasty. In general, there was too much on the pizzas. They ended up soggy and too heavy on filling. The 5 cheese fell apart but was good. Good prices and timing was good

Hands down the BEST pizza I’ve EVER had. The flavors and taste are unmatched and they’re obviously using premium ingredients. Normally pizza will give me some minor heartburn every single time I eat it, but I haven’t experienced that once with Magdalena’s. Their Bocci balls are to die for and their 5 cheese, BBQ chicken and chicken bacon ranch are absolutely unbeatable!

My first time to this establishment very conveniently located 6 minutes from me Forest Hills neighborhood. I decided to give this place a try because a coworker recommended it. I was planning on going to South Tampa or downtown to the city but then I remembered this place and decided hey let me try this place instead. I do not regret my decision the pizza is delicious has so much flavor the crust is perfect to the crunch. The wings so much taste and I got mine mild with blue cheese, I highly recommend this place!

Buffalo Chicken pizza was delicious full of meat & flavor. I could tell this is an up north style pizza restaurant. The up north mom & pops pizzeria are the best. The wings & Jalapeño poppers are good as well. The portions are a nice & the price is reasonable.

A true neighborhood hidden gem! Worth the drive even if you don't live in the immediate area. From their salads to their pizzas and everything in between, the portion sizes are great, even with the current inflation issues. Their dining area is tiny but if there is room (if it's your first time), I suggest having the first slice of your carry-out pizza while there, just to see how amazing it is when it first comes out of the oven.

AMAZING little find! We stumbled upon this place and couldn’t be happier that we did. Everything we ordered was perfection- from the bocci balls, to the pizza, to the pizza rolls and eggplant parmesan- it was all delicious! The owner was a super friendly guy who truly takes pride in dishing you up a homemade Italian meal. Give this place a try! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Pizza was decent but they forgot my salad. I didn't check it in the store bc 4 men were staring at me and making me uncomfortable. I assumed they were waiting for me to leave. I called back and they stated they would refund it but they never did. It was just creepy vibes. No thanks.

I really couldn't tell you what the sauce and cheese tasted like i couldn't get past how burnt the crust was thats all I tasted and I hate any food thats burnt. Unfortunately I got it to go and didn't notice until I was five or 10 minutes away and I was working so wasn't going back. I'll try again when I'm in the area hopefully with a better result.

My husband and I dined in at Magdalena's tonight. I was craving pizza but wanted pizza that had that fresh dough flavor and crisp. We did a Google search and I am so thankful for picking Magdalena's! As we waited for our food, I looked around the decor and absolutely loved it. I also noticed how friendly the owners were. They didn't treat the people who came and picked up their orders like customers, rather they treated them like family. The 4 of us spoke, shared laughs and we absolutely loved every minute of our visit. It will definitely be the first of many! P.S. The pizza was fantastic!!!! It was everything I was craving for.

It was good alfredo fettuccine. I liked the garlic knots that came with it and the side salad. I also ordered a small cheese pizza. The crust was crispy and was delicious. Also ordered a calzone but didn't like the ricotta cheese in it. Was too much. Ordered here again and the crust was good thickness/thinness. Not a fan of the garlic knots though.

Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed! The couple that own it work there and they are so nice and friendly! They even have a few tables inside so you can eat in their cozy dinning room. They have an awesome array of different food options and they are all great!! The lumpia (Filipino style egg rolls) are so crispy and flavorful they are a must try!! Not sure how I have lived a mile from this place for most of my life and have never ordered here before. Thanks to another pizza place not having the items we were looking for we now have a new favorite. The pizza wings and Greek salad were great and the staff is very friendly. We had a dine in since we had our kids with us. The waiter/cashier/manager was brilliant. My kids were treated in a so caring manner by her that we can only say Thank You! We had such a great experience! Nice service from beginning to end. And the food? It couldn't be better. Actually, eating Italian food cooked by a real Italian was simply perfect. We recommend 200% and would definitely go back. Oh... One more thing, huge plates served there. Thank you guys!

This is yet another example of a well-run family business, but in the pizza time. we had calzone and strombolis that were truly exceptional. The desserts were also very good - we had baklava and cheesecake. I can't say enough good things about this small and unique little restaurant. Prices were okay but the food was just exceptional. And the Filipino lady who was running it was as sweet as ever. she even had me try a couple other dishes that were knockouts as well. She even made a great suggestion to visit siesta key Beach and that was a great success as well. Very cool little place to stop at and absolutely worth the trip. Please give them your business, they deserve it!

Review is based on a delivery order. Cheese pizza, not sure what made it better, but this pizza was better than most places I order from. Wings were properly cooked. Greek salad was perfect (except for the olives I asked not be on the salad, but since they did not mix them in, they were easy to pick off). Pizza rolls were huge. I think I ordered too much food, but the prices were good, so I had to try lots of stuff. Will eat here again.

First time here ordered pick up for chicken bacon ranch pizza and I have tried many if not all places around Tampa Bay and this place and Madison Avenue pizza in Dunedin are the best in the bay in my opinion!!! This is by far the best pizza in Tampa!! Better then Ed and sams in downtown and all!! Great crust, fresh toppings.. Gem of a place

If I could leave 10 starts I would! We stopped by for dinner after reading the amazing reviews & top rating. It lived up the expectations! The owners are the sweetest, you feel like family! Lemon pepper wings were crispy, the grilled chicken salad was so filling with the homemade Italian dressing. We split a 6” pizza, so good! & the homemade Lumpia the owner makes is delish! We will be returning!

The owners of Magdalena's Pizzeria were fantastic! I called to see if they could accommodate at party of 6 people at 8:45pm when the close at 9:30pm. The owner told us to come in and he would make it happen. The lasagna pizza was unbelievable and the eggplant parmesan was a HUGE portion for the price. Keep up the great work and I'll see you soon for that lasagna!

Been ordering from Magdelena's Pizza, since we moved to Tampa, a few months ago. Pizza is delicious. Lasagna or Ziti with meat sauce are perfect. (Can I order a jug of meat sauce?) Tried the lemon/pepper wings for the first time and they are excellent. Magdalena and her husband Doug are such a nice couple. Nice to buy from a privately owned restaurant. Try Magdelena's Pizzeria....and enjoy!

We are always in search of a good pizza spot. This restaurant was a bit of a drive for us but was worth the trip! The interior was nice - it was small with eclectic decorations and had the local, hole-in-the-wall, local pizza shop feel. The service was overall good, friendly and helpful, although our food did take a while to come out. The menu had a lot of pizza options. We went with a meat pizza, white pizza and garlic knots, and all were deliciously authentic. I would definitely recommend checking it out!

Ever since the new owners took over I love this place even more. You can tell they take pride in their food and love their customers I cannot stop by without at least having a 5-minute conversation with either of the owners which I love because it shows their passion for their business and their customers. The owner's wife is Philippine so on certain days I go there for Italian food and get blessed and get to try really good food that I wasn't expecting. Not in any shape or form saying this is the best pizzeria in Tampa, but it is definitely the best in the Forest Hills area.

Magdalena's is a hidden gem! My friend told me about her little neighborhood pizzeria that had this great menu. On my first visit I ordered the Chicken Picatta. It was to die for. 5 stars all the way. My biggest surprise was that Lumpia on the menu. I ordered it on my next trip & it was perfect! It brought back fond memories of trips to the Philippines. Since that first visit my GF & I have ordered take-out dinner there about once a week and we've loved everything. I don't know if the staff are all family, but everyone I've interacted with was friendly & courteous.I highly recommend this small, unpretentious family restaurant.

Tampa Bay’s most precious hidden GEM! The pizza is OUTSTANDING! Last night I think I had the best pizza of my life. Gotta try the Buffalo Chicken pizza! Also the chicken pot pies could make you cry from deliciousness. The Pasta Rose is life changing. The White pizza is the better than New York City’s. The Calzone’s are insanely large and delicious filled with incredible amount of ricotta cheese. The Greek Salads are fresh and delicious. Magdalena’s is family owned and has the most incredible owners and staff. I am so thankful and lucky that it is adjacent to my neighborhood. This place is the ABSOLUTE BEST! I cannot say enough great things about this amazing place! It’s absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!!!!

Was in from out of state and found Magdalenas through the reviews and I’m GLAD we went. Delicious food...huge calzone (and it was a medium!), pizza was delicious and the marinara sauce was 👌🏻. I’ll take a small family owned business like this over chain pizza or fake Italian any day. On busy days the wait may be longer but it’s worth it. Staff treated us like family and the whole experience was A+. We left Tuesday (we went on a Saturday and they are closed Monday Tuesday ) otherwise I would have gone back again. Cannoli poppers were also good and filled to the max!

Latest update: I finally got to try the pizza! A friend was visiting Tampa for her birthday, and she, and another friend and I, were supposed to go out to eat, but she wasn't feeling all that great from the drive(neck issues). So I ordered a large Supreme Pizza, Spaghetti with meatballs and meat sauce, salads, a decadent brownie, and Magdalena's version of a 7 Wonder Bar and took it over to our friends house. Everything was delicious, but I've already reviewed most of the food at Maggie's, except the pizza. The pizza was fantastic! We all loved it . Great quality ingredients, and plenty of them! Update: I had the Beef Pot Pie yesterday for the first time at lunch time. I cannot really describe how good it was. I over ate ...and I only ate half of it. I hadn't planned on eating that much, but it was hard to stop myself. Then I did the same thing for a late night dinner. I will definitely be ordering that again! But it's one more reason why I've never been able to even try their pizza. Everything is so good I can never get to the pizza! The REAL DEAL! Everything is homemade. The "sauce" is incredible! Meatballs full of garlic and all the good stuff. Delicious garlic knots. Guy is from New Jersey....his father had a place there for 40 years...his brother runs it now. And we are so blessed to have part of the family here in Tampa now. Magdalena, his wife, is a sweetheart and an incredible cook also! Tampa has no other truly authentic, reasonably priced Italian food like this. I have not had a bad meal here. The deserts are wonderful too! Magdalena makes most of the them herself. Delicious moist Carrot Cake, best brownies I've ever had, and a lot more selections. Oh, and the portions are huge. Yum!

Crusty's Pizza delivered on all levels! (Pun intended) The pie itself was delicious and I could really tell the time and effort they put into their product. The sauce was great and they included extra at my request. The staff seemed very sincere and appreciative of my business. My husband, son and I intentionally planned to stop here even though it was a little out of the way from our main destination. We were getting very hungry and I kept telling my husband it better be worth it. IT WAS!!! We got pizza slices because we were trying to keep our lunch light. The pizzas were so good. It’s hard finding good pizza. Well, mission accomplished. My husband and I had also shared a bowl of picadillo soup. That was delicious! We make picadillo ourselves but never before in soup form. We loved it. But most of all, the owner Maggie was such a sweetheart. She told us her story about how they came to start their own business. We talked the entire time we were there. When we were leaving she gave us a send off in the form of hugs. Yes, the food was great, but I think she made it an awesome experience. There are a few things we would’ve loved to try on the menu. We’ll definitely have to return whenever in Tampa and try the other things out. The desserts looked really good too but we were already full. I would also like to mention that the place was very clean. That’s a big deal for me. We were impressed overall with this place.

Why three stars? Unfortunately the crust was a bit soggy which took away from the overall experience of the pizza. Another downside, was the lack of ingredients, they were sparse and I would have liked to have more on the pizza pie. The staff was very friendly and super helpful. The dining area is small and I would say this place is much better as a take out. They do have an open air courtyard in the back with a few tables, it's a nice space.

About three months ago, my inlaws told us about this place, they order probably once a week from there. We have had the meatball and italian sub, very good and very big subs, we couldn't finish them. Our next visit, we decided to try a pizza, first one was the philly cheesesteak, it was so good, that I've been craving it ever since. Last night my hubby picked up the margarita pizza and while he was waiting she was making her famous Lumpia (Filipino style egg role) and threw in a sample for us, it was the bomb!! So far we love everything there and when we are on that side of town (Forest Hill area), that's the place to go.

I'm not huge on tomatoes... and the tomatoes on mine and my sweetheart's margherita pizza from a couple days back were so juicy and fresh that I wanted to just pick them off and eat them by themselves. That should tell you how good the pizza -- and the food in general -- is here (I also recommend their cheesesteak sub). They have a wide, varied, affordable menu with an assortment of weekly specials, so it won't be difficult in the least to satisfy your appetite here even if you don't want pizza. Come to Magdalena's and they'll take good care of you!

Family owned & operated is a plus. We had a small veggie with ham & pepperoni pizza rolls. Lots of food left for the next day. Pizza is NY style crust but not as much dripping grease. Just ate lunch with the family here. Don't let appearances fool you. It's a small place and nothing special as far as looks go.... But the food was exceptional. Very fresh and the owners are really nice, attentive people. We're visiting from out of town for Busch Gardens, but will definitely be back again. White pie was great and so were the wings. I recently had dinner at Magdalena's Pizzeria with my girlfriend. I wanted to post a review due to the great food and how nice the owners, Doug and Magdalena, were to us. The Google picture of Crusty's Pizza is in error. Doug and Magdalena purchased the assets and renamed the restaurant from Crusty's Pizza to Magdalena's Pizzeria. The storefront was changed from the Google picture, which needs to be updated. Doug and Magdalena changed the menu, upgraded the food selections, replaced the management with themselves, and generally turned this into a completely new and different pizzeria, starting from their acquisition in November of 2017. While approximately one-half of the menu is comprised of Pizza varieties, the other one-half has selections including spaghetti with meat sauce, which I had and was delicious, eggplant parmigiana, which my girlfriend had and loved, salads, which were fresh and well-made, sandwiches, and many other authentic Italian dishes. They had some great desserts also. The owners, Doug and Magdalena, shared with us their dreams of owning and running this first class Pizzeria, recently ranked #1 in the entire state of Florida! I definitely concur with that assessment. The restaurant has both lunch and dinner, and even delivers to your house or place of business. My girlfriend and I were both very impressed with this restaurant. This is a great, very friendly and comfortable eat-in genuine Italian Pizzeria. I definitely recommend it. If you come to this restaurant, you will have good food and a good time. Definitely 5 stars!

We stopped in here for lunch on a whim and was not disappointed. We tried a regular cheese, white, and taco pizza. The meat for the taco pizza has a lot of flavor, not just ground beef. All three pizzas were delicious and the staff was very nice and friendly. Will be back to this little gem.

The chicken parm was excellent. Heads above what you get at Gino's and much less expensive. You get a bunch of garlic knots, a salad and enough spaghetti to feed two to three people. The portions are huge. This place has a great menu and I don't think I'll cook again until I try everything on it. Really friendly people. I will spread the word about this place to everyone in the area. I'll try to figure out how to attach photo's to reviews but my take out order looked like it was from a 5 star restaurant.

Wonderful family owned pizzeria with great food. Our first visit here and we were very pleased. We ordered the garlic knots, parm/garlic wings, pepperoni and cheese pie. AWESOME!! We were made to feel at home and even tried a slice of homemade coconut pie...YOU HAVE GOT TO GET THIS!! One of Tampa's finest Police Officers was kind enough to treat my grandbabies to a slice of the rainbow cake! THANK YOU!! It was a great place and the food is delicious, hot and fresh. You can see the fresh garlic in the knots sauce. We just relocated and are so glad we found a go to place for food. GO TRY THIS PLACE!!

Awesome pizza. Me and friends eat Pizza by the pounds. This place is a front runner. Staff is incredible, its a local business, signature rolls are incredible. Food is always made to order. Price is undeniably great. aside from that its a feel good place. I give it 9.5 on the 10 scale.

I can not say enough good about this place ! I've been there a few different occasions and its becoming our family's spot. Everyone that works there especially the owners are thoughtful,generous, and kind. If you go there and interact with the owners they really are lovely people. One time I went in to their store very upset (had my first flat tire) I had no idea how to deal with it and my mom wasn't available. The owners offered to use their own AAA and checked to see if I was okay . I've never been to a business that's so kind and thoughtful of their customers. I highly recommend their philly pizza and their philly cheese steaks. Also don't be afraid to try their philopeano food because its amazing. If you are feeling under the weather they make awesome chicken soup and their chili is great. Overall I'm a food critique and very picky and I've come to love this place😊😋😎

So an excellent experience this evening as this place is firing on all cylinders. Super nice and genuine people with a passion for serving up great meals. In a world with half hearted proprietors These owners understand that no request from customers is unreasonable and it’s a trait that will set this restaurant apart from all the rest. Tonight we really enjoyed a meat lovers pizza in 18” and an amazing pizza it was. Soft thin crust in the middle with a light and airy crunchy crust. The toppings were fresh and well seasoned. We were given samples of three other dishes that we will soon be returning to get full size versions. We wrapped up the meal with the best flan I’ve ever experienced. After the meal we sat and chatted with the owners and they are Uber friendly. It was good enough that there is a strong possibility we will be back tomorrow to try something different. Don’t just think of this as a pizza joint as we saw chicken pot pie and other comfort foods as daily specials. They even serve curry and Philippino delicacies as well. We saw stuffed shells, spaghetti and meatballs, a delicious butter nut and squash soup, a heaping basket of French fries, and an enormous plate of garlic knots drowning in garlic butter. So much good food options to choose from and the preparation is done right. This is going to be our budget friendly “go to place” for some time to come. Give it a try you won’t be dissapp

My wife and I were going to Chop Chop Shop, located next door, but they were closed. Luckily they were, because we instead went to Crusty's. My wife had the spaghetti and I had the Chicken Alfredo. I am now taking time out of my day to let everyone know...GET THE CHICKEN ALFREDO!!!!! It was one of the best Chicken Alfredo dinners I have ever had. The price was 9.99 for a generous portion of Chicken Alfredo, a large salad, and garlic bread. I recommend you pay a visit to this restaurant soon!

I remember the first of many times we ordered from Magdalena's my husband came home and said, "Ummm, she's not Italian this should be interesting." His mother came here from Italy and he is extremely fussy about italian food. We have never been disappointed in anything we have eaten from here. We order about once a week. Pizza, ziti, meatballs, sausage, lasagne, and her specials have all been outstanding.

We were visiting from out of town and found this gem. The atmosphere was a quaint restaurant with a homey feel. For appetizers we ordered mozzarella sticks, lumpia, and a "small" Greek salad. The Greek salad was a generous size, the vegetables were fresh and it had warmed pita bread as a side. The lumpia was delicious! For our entrees we had two "small" calzones and a pizza. The crust was perfect and the marinara sauce was out of this world. The calzones were large and enough for two people to share. The owners were delightful and caring. All the dishes were made fresh on site and she offered to make anything we wanted off menu. The owner gave us all hugs as we walked out the door. What a lovely experience!

Magdalena's pizzeria makes up pizza that is reminiscent of Sal's pizzeria just North of Busch on Dale Mabry that we used to get with a one time friends dad took us for pie when we were yutes! It's the thin crust from the old days like old-timey school pizza! They make custom dishes and have even offered Lumpia and Pancit, which are both Philippine dishes as Magdalena is Pinoy herself

The pizza is so good here that I legitimately just order a cheese pizza. Obviously their other pizzas are amazing too. I'm the type of person to throw away a crust or at least eat it with ranch but this is like the one place where I eat the whole crust plain.
