After arriving in Tampa looked for a place to grab a bite to eat. La Perrera is a Colombian restaurant. Ordered a passion fruit juice made with water and a teaspoon of sugar, delicious. As an appetizer ordered the empanadas, meat patties. Crunchy, tasty, nice texture, accompanied by a variety of sauces i.e. hot Colombian sauce, pineapple sauce, chimichurri, mayoketchup. I also ordered morcilla or blood sausage with a small corn cake. It was delicate and tender to the palate, however, it was only one sausage. As the main plate i ordered a salchipapa which is a combination of sliced hot dog French fries, cheese, ground meat, mayo. It was all mixed together. I was not impressed with the taste as it was very oily. I am told it's like an after clubbing delicacy. The restaurant was clean, server was attentive, courteous. I'll comeback for the appetizers, and probably another main plate. Rating it 4.

This is a small intimate place. Their claim to fame are saltipapas. They have several varieties. All good. Usually service is good. This particular day tho, it was lacking. But, as I said usually that is not the case. I think a lot of their business is take out tho. If you are looking for something a little different, this is your spot.

The food is really great for after a night out, it has a very family oriented atmosphere and great music! Try out their burger especial, it comes with a pineapple sauce that to me added something to different to my palate! I hope you guys enjoy this place as much as I did!

Between these plates we spent almost 50$ which to me was a bit much. Nothing really stuck out to me flavor wise... The 3 meat plate was pretty bland and the steak had a fish type smell to it. The empanadas were the best I would reccomend those. Places like these should also tell a client that they automatically charge a gratuity percentage because I was told my total was a certain amount and when I went to pay it went up.

This was amazing food. One of if not the best Colombian places I have ever been too. I’m Peruvian by the way and Colombian food is one of my favorite food to eat!! Try the pechuga de pollo with tostones and frijoles. Also try the mango juice with milk.

I LOVE this place! El pibe es muy delicioso! I'm visiting from Texas and still had this restaurant saved from when I lived here in the Tampa area. Totally worth the visit while I was in town on vacation! Service was nice, everything was clean, and the food was delicious.

While the outside of the building might make you think it's your typical Tampa dive, a quick venture inside will quickly change your mind. The interior is well designed and we'll kept and the atmosphere is casual but still sophisticated in a way. Food was surprisingly good, especially the yuca and beans. The empanadas were also quite good and a nice appetizer for the meal.

I’m sure some ppl have had a bad experience but some of y’all gotta stop complaining about how long the food takes. Don’t like it? Eat Mac Donald’s! This is not Amazon prime. Lol anyways I ate here twice and the food and people here are great. I ordered breaded chicken with white rice and beans and my girl ordered the churrasco with the tostones and maduros and it was great. Their Maracuya with milk ain’t all that, but otherwise it was a pleasant experience. Bunch of Karen’s around here smh

One night after we got back to our AirBnb in Tampa, I was hungry and the only interesting looking restaurant that would deliver to me at the time was La Perrada Columbiana. I got the "Tour of Columbia" fried platter and it did not disappoint - check it out on the menu. We loved the restaurant so much that we returned on our next visit to Tampa two weeks later and ate at the restaurant itself. My two teenage boys (13 & 14) loved it, and had variations on hot dogs and, of course, we got the platter with everything on it again. The restaurant was clean, service was quick and friendly, and we'll be going back again.

I've never eaten in the restaurant just do the pick up orders only. The food is really good. Hits the spot when your craving something quick and different... the Salchipapas are so simple but flavorful with all the sauces they add. I like the one with hot dog bits and shredded chicken...Only issue for me is that it's far from me and I wish it were a little less expensive. The salchipapas run you about $8 and up...

Absolutely Amazing food! Was quite cheap overall and had an absolute great time food wise. They only accept cash so come prepared. The tables and chairs are a bit outdated and you might need to know spanish but if that is fine by you then you might have a great time!

I haven't been here in three years and they are still amazing. Granted in 2017 they deep fried the hot dogs that go on the salchipapa and I noticed they don't do that part any more but I still enjoyed my salchipapas after 3 long years of not having them. And btw the new model of the building looks amazing.

Most of the negative reviews are about most of the staff not speaking english and them only accepting cash, these are prejudiced and classist reviews the food is amazing. The food is very VERY good and I recommend going in person for sure, also remember all latine arepas are different so plsss don’t go complaining about the size bc depending on the country they are bigger or smaller!

My visit & experience here was great. My boyfriend & I both tried the Salchipapa Extrema... it was actually good. The waitress was super nice , very customer friendly. The restrooms were clean , restaurant was clean . A little over priced but we will definitely be coming back for more in the future.

I absolutely love this place. Makea you feel like your right in 🇨🇴. I mean everything is authentic. I love the pasteries. How the owner took the style of the homes from his country and turnes it into a great restaurant. I love how the owner is family-friendly. You can tell he takes pride in his food as well and their satisfactions. I mean kid you not i have been to over 5 diff colombian spots in this area and this is a little biy more however it is worth it and by far the BEST ive had.#FAT GIRL HAPPY CLUB

I'm not sure why other people are having bad experiences at this place, i've been at least 7 times to La Perrada and every time I am blown away by how quick and fresh everything is. While the outside could use a bit of a makeover, the inside is what you would expect out of most newer restaurants, cute and quaint! The food is delicious and they do a couple of unique spins on classic Colombian cuisine. If you're looking for a good place to enjoy something new yet familiar, definitely check this place out!

This is like a Colombian fast food restaurant. My daughter told us about the place and decided to visit. Never had a salchipapas before and loved it...very delicious and my husband was very hesitant to try the hamburgers, but decided to have the hamburger Especial and loved it. Love the food but the service was terrible, i gave 5 stars for the food, our waitress never came back to the table to see if we needed anything and gave us 3 napkins we had to use as plates and gave us these cheap plastic forks that were about an inch big, mean time all the waitresses were hoddled around talking while customers have no plates to eat on and were choking because we have nothing in our cups!
