Don't show up expecting fast food. This unassuming little place is very popular and for good reason. They make everything fresh. We waited a good while after ordering our food at the counter, but watched a lot of orders get picked up. The service was wonderful because they offered a free beer to my husband and apologized for the wait. The communication about what was happening was important. They were swamped with orders, so I don't think the wait is a normal thing. Regardless, I had amazing blackened catfish, hush puppies, and southwest corn. All were great. Husband had oyster po' boy and raved about it. Great service, amazing food, nice people. Highly recommend. Dinner time might mean a wait, but it's worth it!

Had to try this place after all the amazing reviews. It lives up to the other ratings. I was not disappointed. Portions are generous. Cod and shrimp were fresh and well grilled and seasoned. Sides are surprisingly good. The southwest corn I had in particular had a nice spicy kick I loved. Only downside might be that there is relatively little seating although it seems like a lot of people do take out.

I had a conference in Florida this week. My wife and I decided to drive to Tampa. She googled a restaurant and we decided to try this location. Service is very friendly. They do let you know if it’s going to be a wait due to high orders. I noticed even though the restaurant was not busy, they had a lot of to go orders. The food is delicious. The batter on fried products was very light and tasty. Our overall experience was very good. The manager also greeted us after placing our order. Manager asked if everything is well. Great job Half Moon Team!!

Would have been 5 stars but the bathroom and AC were out of commission. The food was excellent. The fried cod, shrimp po boy, fries, and hush puppies were all cooked perfectly. Prices are a little high, but not terrible. I’ll wait a few months and maybe try it again when the bathroom and AC are fixed.

This place is so amazing! A true gem!!! The service was wonderful! Everyone was so kind and accommodating! The food was AMAZING! HUGE shrimp! Plump juicy oysters that were fried to perfection!!!! Lovely Cod , thick and flaky! The collard greens were cooked well and seasoned well! The fried okra was also delicious! I would be here weekly if I lived here!!!! Everyone should come here!!!

Friendly & great customer service. They weren't busy at the time of our visit. We decided to dine-in. The food was delicious. Nashville Hot Fish (cod), Fish Nuggets Kid's Meal, Shrimp Po' Boy, and a Crab Cake Sandwich. And the hushpuppies...Mmm. All food is made to order.

Stumbled upon this place and it was worth it. The customer service was great, the food was delicious and came out quickly. The shoestring fries had everything I like, great crunch, thinly cut and were they were nicely seasoned. The crab sandwich had great texture, great flavor and had a nice mix of crab to veg ratio. If you are looking for a great casual seafood spot, this is your place!

Traveling for work and this place had good reviews so tried it for lunch. OMG! This place is a must when visiting the area!!! Coworker got grilled shrimp plate that I was told was great. I ordered the blackened Grouper sandwich with fried okra and was blown away with how great the fish was! Thick slab of Grouper, perfectly flakey and moist. This was a great option and will be back anytime I'm in town.

This establishment is serving some of the freshest fish and great service! The flavors of everything we had were incredible! I highly recommend their Nashville Hot Fish Sandwich, that sauce is 🔥and explodes in your mouth 🤯. Honestly I recommend everything pictured: Fish and Shrimp plate with blackened shrimp, fried okra, hush puppies, Nashville Hot Fish Sandwich with SW corn. We will definitely be coming back!

I ate here Saturday January 8,2023 for the first time and had an amazing experience!! I ordered the Nashville Fish Sandwich and fries and it was nothing short of delicious!! The fish was so fresh and tasted really good! Tyler was amazing and very friendly. The fact that his family is from my home state of NC reassured me that his restaurant was great!😍 The beautiful young lady at the register was amazing, as well. I hate I didn’t get her name. Great food and customer service, I will definitely be back soon!!

Great lunch spot. Went in a little before noon and got the shrimp tacos and fries. Food was great, friendly service, tasteful classic rock playlist, very clean and cute interior, condiments at every table. There are a few small tables, a couple big party tables, and a bar (not like the ones with bartenders, just a place to eat). Only con is there is no public bathroom but that could just as well be a pro. Highly recommend.

Worth the wait for the food here as everything is cooked to order. We got the gulf grouper sandwich and shrimp po’ boy and really enjoyed it. The tartar sauce was very good. The fries were crispy and addictive. Clean and not overly busy inside but don’t let that fool you - customers steadily trickle in and many to go orders. Would recommend to give it a chance if you’re looking for non-meat options. We heard that Fried bird sandwich is also really tasty and will likely try that the next time we visit.

I highly recommend this restaurant. We had fish and chips, fried ocra, and hushpuppies. All parts of this meal were AMAZING. The in house sauces paired perfectly with the food. The atmosphere is relaxed and very clean. Staff were also very attentive and friendly.

Walking into the restaurant, it was completely empty. Just a couple parties entered after me. Upon completing my Sample the Sea with fried grouper, blackened shrimp, and a crab cake with fried okra and collard greens, I thought it was a crime that this place wasn't packed. Though it was understandable as the price point was quite high for a fast casual establishment. But value is not found in only single digit prices. With quality and quantity, you really get a bang for your buck with the average price of $15. My meal was $33 since I decided to have the sampler. The crab cake was delicate. The shrimp was busting with flavor. And the fish, a generous helping of fish for a sampler might I add, was fresh and perfectly friend and seasoned. The fried okra was just what I asked for. The collard greens were good as well, though I could have done with less meat and salt personally. I'm a fan of the bitter bite of collard greens. I asked a couple other patrons who I noticed got just the fish and chips. The fish was twice as large as mine! If you can afford it, you cannot be disappointed by Half Moon Seafood Company. The staff were also very kind and attentive for a restaurant that is not modeled to have a direct wait staff. They regularly checked on my enjoyment of the food and were quick to respond to an issue with the soda fountain. Sweet tea was a fine substitute for my initial choice of root beer, so no complaints there. My only negative judgement might be that the lunch specials don't seem to be very special and aren't worth mentioning. It looks like they're just the same menu items with the same price. Though I could be wrong, it seems unnecessary and could be done without. Half Moon Seafood Company is almost a secret I don't want to share so I'd never have to wait in line to dig into more great seafood. But alas, I must ask that you give them a try because not a lot of restaurants in Tampa are worth a damn. And Half Moon is worth at least a whole damn.

We love this place so much sometimes we go 3 times a week. The crab cake and crabcake sandwich are amazing. The shrimp is good and the Grouper Taco is by far their Supreme Leader. Will not regret it.

Best shrimp tacos, one of the best seafood ever - i am amazed that I did not discover this gem of a place earlier. Service is amazing too. Go indulge in some great sea food here if you are in Tampa !! I am definitely coming back for the rest of the menu later :)

Everything we ordered was delicious. I had the blackened cod fish sandwich with fries. The cod was excellent and the ingredients seemed fresh. The fries were thin cut shoestring and seasoned lightly. Crispy and tasty! It's a small place with limited seating but not overcrowded when we visited. Staff was friendly. Service was efficient.

Shrimp Po Boy tasted great! Downside is that these meals aren’t cheap because everything is fresh made. Also, if I pay for food I’d expect to receive all the food I paid for.. aka they didn’t give me my side.

The food here is very tasty! Really good fresh fish or chicken, cooked to order. This, of course, takes time, so order before you arrive or allow plenty of time to wait. These large, juicy, blackened grouper tacos were absolutely worth the wait and, like most of the menu, can also be ordered grilled or breaded. My biggest concern is that once more people find out about this place, I won't be able to get in! Pics are 1 take-out & 1 dine-in.

WHERE DO I EVEN START! This place is a GEM!!!!!! I will never eat seafood unless it fits the taste and quality standards of Half Moon ! I was blown away by the flavors and freshness! I will be a regular for sure now! It is not cheap food but you’re going there for the quality!

Has to be the best Nashville Hot Chicken outside of Nashville I've had. All food consistently good real good, this is a real good find. The crabcake was good, as was the grouper. This is a smaller place, so watch your timing around the lunch hour.

The Nashville hot fish sandwich with grouper was the BEST, I visit Tampa area sometimes and I cannot wait to go back and order this again. I think about this sandwich once a week probably no joke. It was cooked perfectly white and flaky and juicy, the breading wasn’t too much or too little, the sauce was hot (as expected) and it wasn’t too much or too little either. Just perfect. Please never get rid of this option. I also ordered it for delivery so I couldn’t imagine actually trying it in the restaurant when it’s super fresh.🙌

I have been twice now and I have not been disappointed. I found Half Moon Seafood Co. because they were one of the few places around that has fried oysters, and I really love fried oysters. I was not disappointed! My first time I ordered the Sample the Sea with fried catfish, fried shrimp, fried oysters instead of the crab cake, fried okra. and hushpuppies. The catfish and shrimp had the perfect amount of batter and fried to the perfect crispness. The shrimp are HUGE. The fried oysters were the star of the show. I ordered them cooked medium. They were lightly battered and cooked just how I liked them, kind of soft with a slight crunch. The okra tasted like my grandma's; however, a few pieces had a little too much batter and not enough time in the fryer. The seafood and okra were fresh. The hushpuppies were hot, crunchy, and slightly sweet. The second go around I ordered the 1/4 pound oysters, fried medium, fried shrimp with fried okra, and a crab cake. The oysters, shrimp, and okra were a 15/20 again. This time I had a few very large pieces of okra and every single piece was battered and cooked perfectly. The crab cake was delicious and you can definitely see and taste the crab. Aside from the food, the service is great. I also love how they label each box with the contents. This is my new go to for quality seafood done right.

I wish I could give 10 stars! The service is outstanding. The restaurant is spotless. The owner is wonderful. But the food?? The food is absolutely phenomenal!! I had the grouper tacos that were part of the Sunday lunch special. It was all FRESH! Cooked perfectly, and beautiful presentation! Biodegradable containers for my to-go boxes, as well. I highly, highly recommend this spot!

This was my fifth or sixth visit here for lunch. I do not have a single complaint. The food is fresh, it’s hot, it’s seasoned perfectly. Everyone is nice, the place is clean, and the price is reasonable. This is a very, very well run restaurant who cares about its customers. Great place.

Had a great meal at Half Moon, reasonable prices and great service! Not exactly what I was expecting, kind of hidden in a strip mall full of other food choices. You order at the counter and they bring food to your table. The blacken cod and chips (shoe-string fries) were excellent! The fish was fresh, seasoned well and cooked perfectly, the fries thin and done just right. I also tried the fried shrimp, the shrimp were big and the batter was very tasty, some of the best fried shrimp I've ever had! If you're in the mood for a treat, the fried oreos were awesome, like an oreo inside a small donut!

This place kinda blew my mind a little. Very unexpected treasure in Temple Terrace. Delicious FRESH seafood in a strip mall. Shrimp Po boy was incredible. I went with fried shrimp and was extremely happy. The fish-n-chips was Perfect! Huge grouper filet, but the crab cakes. SO MUCH CRAB. They have a fried chicken sandwich that’ll knock your hair back too. Great staff. Friendly and accommodating. In the area?? Do yourself a favor and stop by. You’ll leave full and happy. Don’t have to empty your wallet either.

Great place for gluten free food. We frequently travel to Tampa, and this has become one of our must stops for delicious fish, shrimp and sweet potato fries. Highly recommend!

A wonderful surprise. We walked out of a local chain restaurant due to lack of service and found this local gem on our Google search. The food was top notch. Absolutely the best Clam Chowder and Crab Cakes I have had in YEARS. THE Hot Tossed Shrimp was a spicy delight. We will return every visit to Temple Terrace

Delicious. Simple. Fresh. It is hard to find non-chain seafood in this area that is so far from the beach, but Half Moon Seafood Co. has brought the ocean to Temple Terrace. This is fresh seafood, it is simple and so good. Grouper tacos to spicy grouper nuggets to amazing deep fried fish (huge fish) to sandwiches. The hush puppies are incredible. It isn't a huge or fancy restaurant, but it is perfectly clean and comfortable Also, good portion sizes. This is a no-guilt spend because you get high quality seafood, good portions, and friendly service for affordable prices.. Great menu. The owner and staff are so friendly. This is a hit! If you want good quality seafood at an affordable price (lunch special is $11.00 including a side and a drink--hello, good deal!) then this is your place! I also like supporting small business, and this owner comes out and talks to all of his customers. Good ole fashioned customer service.

This just might be my favorite seafood place. Simple seafood seasoned perfectly. I had the fried cod with coleslaw and my wife had the crab cakes. The cod tasted fresh and was lightly fried, moist and delicious. Their tarter sauce has a nice kick. The wife said her crab cakes were the best. The place is clean and staff were masked up. We’ll be back.

We were a little skeptical when we arrived. It's in a strip mall. I sent my mother in to scooe out the place....lol. We decided to give it a try, and we were so glad that we did. Everything was so fresh and good. I had the seafood platter. The shrimp were huge and not covered in a ton of batter to make them look bigger. They even make greens, and they were delicious...a little spicy...but soooo good. Don't be scared, give it a try...I guarantee you will be back!

We stopped in after a long day of work travel and meetings. The owner checked on us and the staff made wonderful food recommendations. We had the blackened shrimp tacos, blackened grouper, and the Shrimp and fried grouper combos. We selected the greens, coleslaw, corn and sweet potato fries, everything was fresh, hot, seasoned to perfection and simply delicious. Please stop by and check out this wonderful restaurant!

Okay so the same owner is there, but the store is under a new name and the food is still good. We almost went to Applebee's and we all were glad they had no room for us. I had the fried grouper, shrimp with an additional crab cake. The only negative was that the ice tea was terrible, it was so watered down, I thought I was back in the military. We use to get the worse ice tea in the army. The owner was there and he has always been pleasant willing and accommodating. Overall my food was delicious and I shall return soon to try my food blackened next time. Give Half Moon a try, I don't think you will be disappointed. Oh before I forget, I had the corn and it was seasoned just right, also please try their house sauce.

$17.XX for fresh fish and chips + slaw, drink and a beer. Coleslaw was great. Honestly most people's slaw just tastes like mayonnaise and cabbage. First time in years I've had coleslaw that makes me want to come back. Fries are good, fresh. The star is the battered and fried cod. The house tartar sauce has a nice tang to it. Service was excellent, first time I think I've ever had a employee come up and ask how everything was at a counter style restaurant. Lovely local spot.

Fresh, perfectly cooked seafood, very nice service. Good price. One of the best, if not the best crab cake that we have ever had. Taking of one star because of the grouper. The fish was fresh, surprisingly large portions. But tasted nothing like any of the different species of Gulf groupers that I ate before (either caught by myself, or from seafood places), with a muddy taste of freshwater fish. I thought it might have been a kitchen mix up with catfish, but after talking to the host, it seems unlikely. Not sure what to make of it. Will be back, as everything else was excellent.

Great Atmosphere the young lady at the register was friendly and very helpful to the extent of even letting my husband try the hot sauce to decide if he wanted half or full heat. Their portions were ample and very filling. The shoe string fries were crispy and salted just right. Their sweet tea was just right as well. Overall this restaurant is a welcome change from typical spots. We will be returning for sure.

We tried this place out for the first time last night with some friends local to Tampa and it was SO good! My partner lived in Nashville and considers himself a hot chicken expert - Half Moon did not disappoint!! I had the blackened cod plate based off the young woman at the counters recommendation and it too was excellent. I’d also like to mention as someone with food allergies the team at Half Moon were very understanding and went above and beyond to ensure I’d be able to safely enjoy my meal. We are relocating to Tampa and will definitely be coming back regularly. 10/10

Gluten free fried seafood! Need I say more?? There are regular options also of course, but they have a dedicated fryer and totally understand our gluten concerns. Gluten free fried fish, shrimp, oysters and shoestring fries. I was "over the moon" to discover this place! If I had to pick something to critique it would be that they don't have gluten free tartar sauce, but I was grateful the cashier knew that they put a little malt vinegar in theirs saving me from a night of pain. This is a very small complaint because they had some other awesome sauces instead. Service was excellent, everyone was so attentive and informative. I literally drive from St. Pete for this place. Will be back again and again. 🙌🙌🙌

A store front restaurant best for take out but they have a few tables. We have fried and blackened fish w/fries lunches. Every thing was cooked fresh and perfect with good sized portions from the lunch specials menu. Highly recommend

Our table had fried shrimp, fried Grouper, crab cake, hush puppies, sweet potato fries and clam chowder. Every item was excellent. The shrimp and fish had just a light breading and were cooked to perfection. Both tasted fresh. I normally use a lot of tarter sauce, but these didn't need it. Although it was excellent as well. The crab cake was one of the best I've had in my life. The staff was friendly, professional and pleasant. All in all this was a terrific meal and one I plan on repeating very soon. Highly recommend Half Moon Seafood.

The food is very fresh... Grilled cod and fried shrimp cooked perfectly - lots of flavor. The sides are generous portions. The cocktail sauce and house tartar sauces are sooo good with a little kick. Really enjoyed the hush puppies - light crunch, not greasy. On top of the perfect food, the staff is friendly and courteous :)

Legit 5-Star restaurant. Not a big place, but really clean and the seafood is some of the best I've had in Florida (that's saying a lot). This place is worth going out of your way for a great meal. A+++

The lunch we had today was absolutely fantastic! The blackened shrimp Po- Boy and hush puppies were cooked to perfection and my wife’s grilled shrimp tacos were also exceptional. To top it off, the very personable USF student taking our order was great. We would highly recommend this spot!

This place was great! It was much more than we expected. It’s just a small little restaurant but the food was amazing. The owner of the restaurant was there and personally checked on us several times. The decor was top notch and they had free refills on their drinks. TRY the clam chowder! You won’t be disappointed! Nashville Hot cod sandwich is seriously good! Fish is lighted breaded and seasoned well. I got the half hot version and it was mild with a little kick. I went half hot to be safe and will go for full hot next time but was perfectly happy with the spice level. This place is the real deal! Today I went for my second time, keep in mind this place is located in Temple Terrace and I drive all the way from South Tampa. It was once again well worth the drive! Today I had the fried shrimp, oysters and grilled grouper, it was all fresh and delicious. They also have great sides as well, my favorite is the collard greens and corn. I am convinced that this is the best casual seafood restaurant in Tampa and I’ve tried them all. Other than the amazing food, and cleanliness of the restaurant, what really sets them apart from the competition is their service and quality of the staff they hire, they are always so helpful and eager to answer any questions about the menu. Today I was lucky enough to meet the owner of this place, and now I know why it operates the way it does, super nice guy! I wish them all the luck and I will continue to be a dedicated customer and will spread the word!

We really enjoyed our lunch at this little hole in the wall. Don't let the fact this is in a strip mall fool you or stop you from eating here. I enjoyed a shrimp poboy and my husband had a grouper sandwich both fried (they offer healthier options). Everything was fried correctly and not greasy. The shoestring fries were good but I expected them to be a little less hard (they were very crispy). Over all, we were happy & will be back for a plate next time. I found the bread used on the poboy was excellent but it was too much for me.

Tried Half moon seafood for the first time today. Been past it several times going out to shop but never had the chance until today to try it. This has been one of the best meals i have ever had. I had the Nashville hot grouper sandwich. This was fantastic nice spice to it but did not over power the fish. Also had the crab cake. Probably best one i have had. Had the oysters as well. I love oysters but dont see them thst often. Half moon seafood has the best. Fried perfectly. My father had fried cod and the French frys. He said he loved it all. I can't believe I haven't tried this place sooner! Everyone working there was very friendly and attentive, and the food was all great. I would go so far as to say that the Nashville hot fish is probably my new favorite way of having fish prepared. We had a few different sides, all of which were great (and fresh), and the chicken sandwich was surprisingly good for a seafood restaurant. Make sure to try the half-moon sauce also if you're getting anything you think could use a little extra kick. I will definitely be back many more times in the future!

I'm here visiting my fiance from Atlanta, and we both love seafood and wanted to try this place as she lives close. We came for lunch and came back the same day for dinner. Amazing seafood. The menu is limited but I don't mean that in a negative way. It seems that they have honed their craft on these select dishes. Everything was seasoned well. Try the crab cake sandwhich with remoulade instead of tartar (my choice). Had the blackened shrimp poboy, blackened grouper, fried cod tacos and all were amazing. Will be returning.

Daughter ordered the Nashville Hot shrimp, and the friendly staff not only offered to let her taste the sauces first, but also let her order grilled instead of fried. Both the grilled and the fried shrimp I ordered were perfectly cooked with tasty sauces. Breading on the fried shrimp was “light,” just as described on menu. Sweet potato fries and banana pudding quite good, too. Most impressive, though, was the service. Four different employees greeted us while there, and each of them offered to get us items and served us with a smile. Very clean, casual restaurant with good, fast seafood. Wow, Spicy! Mucho caliente! Speziato! En Fuego! 🥵🥵🥵🌶🌶🌶 I know there are a lot great reviews out there, but my problem is that I don’t like things spicy. So when I ordered my food without spice and even mentioned that it am not a fan of spice I expected to get some mild to medium flavors. I was surprised when the food was too spicy for my delicate palate. But that was only minus one star. My cost of a sandwich, a cup of soup ($3), and a drink was $26. That was the other minus star. So here are my other comments: - the restaurant is very clean - it is small and the tables are close together - counter service, with food brought to your table - fish was cooked well, but did not hold together well. - plain tartar sauce was extremely spicy (I cannot imagine what the Nashville Hot sauce is like). I even asked the host if tartar was supposed to be that hot and he said, “yes, everything we make is hot”. - plenty of parking If you like hot, hot, hot, you may have found your Nirvana. But for me it was not, not, not.

When you first look at the menu, it might seem a little pricey for such a small place. When you actually try the food, however, you'll quickly realize it's worth every penny (and, to be honest, probably underpriced). The food is fresh, high quality, and extremely well made. An amazing value and not one you'll soon forget. The best things on the menu are the clam chowder and the hushpuppies. Sometimes, my husband and I will go just for those two things. Even if you don't normally like hushpuppies, I strongly suggest you try them: I've converted a few of my friends. It isn't fast, but it's always fresh. So don't go there if you're in a rush, but definitely go there. Summary: amazing food that is well worth both your money and your time.

Oh my word... I was wanting fried shrimp, but they don't deliver fried items. So I went with the blackened grouper tacos. Wow! I am so glad I couldn't get the shrimp. Wonderful casual dining or take out restaurants with excellent seafood. The cod and shrimp were cooked perfectly, as we're my wife's oysters. This tiny restaurant packs a punch with their dinner combos. You might look at the price and say " that's expensive ". Well I'm here to tell you the shrimp are big and the fish is to. The only reason I wasn't going to give them 5 stars was I had a couple shells in my crab cake sandwich, but the service more the made up for it. The food was amazing! We got the fish and chips and the the sampler (grilled fish and shrimp). Coleslaw and hush puppies are always hit or miss and these were both definitely a HIT! The crab cake was full of crab and not just a bunch of binder, so good! The tarter sauce was really yummy too! Everything was perfectly seasoned. We will definitely be going again and trying more things. (Not enough to knock a star, but we do wish the fries were thicker, it did say shoestring so we did know what we were getting)

I visited Half moon with a group of ten, young Engineers for lunch and in what may be a first, every individual raved over what they ordered as some of the best (insert choice here) they had ever had. A Louisiana native raved about the shrimp po-boy. I couldn't get over the authentic "Nashville hot" fish. Another sampled fried okra for the first time and was hooked. Everything was absolutely excellent, and the fast, friendly service simply added to the experience. Equally impressive was the fresh, inviting decor and ambiance - a pleasant standout amidst the typical strip-mall offering in the area. Don't let the small location size deter you from a visit. This is high-quality seafood, prepared with flavor twists that are unavailable elsewhere.

I got the shrimp, fish(cod), and chips. I ordered it blackened. It came with a sauce that was like a roumalade, and cocktail, plus I ordered a side of Nashville Hot sauce. The food came out and my face lit up. Nice sized portions. Big shrimp. All fresh, cooked right and well seasoned. Soooo good. The staff was warm and friendly and the place was super clean. (Have some patience because everything is cooked to order. Although they were pretty darn quick.) I will definitely be going again. And that Nashville hot sauce is pure fire.

We come to Tampa once or twice a year and usually go to another seafood restaurant specifically for grouper. This time we were on the opposite side of town and decided to try Half Moon in Temple Terrace. It took a little longer, but only because we soon found out, everything was fresh and cooked to order. From the blackened grouper to the fried grouper sandwich, to the ooo wee “Nashville Hot” tossed shrimp, to the hush puppies, to yes….collard greens, EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious. To top it off, the employees including the co-owner Larry, were doing whatever they could to satisfy customers. The owner was even cleaning tables and taking curbside orders out. We will be back again, and again! Although I don’t do reviews as often as I should, I wanted to be sure to do this one.

How is it possible for service to be this amazing a minute before closing. We’ve all been there, you call a restaurant 5 minutes to closing and they can’t take your order because they’re already shutting down the kitchen. This wasn’t the case here! I called at 8:55 asking if it’s ok to put in an order and was enthusiastically told to come on in, they’ll be glad to serve me. I expected to order a fried fish sandwich that’s cooked in old oil. Absolutely wasn’t the case, it was as if they used new oil and made quite possibly the best fish sandwich I’ve had in a long time. The previous restaurant was skrimp shack and was really bad, cooked in nasty oil and I never went back. To see how awesome the service is here, plus the owner is there with his crew at 9pm shows me that there is real love for the workplace. Thank you all for putting faith back in the restaurant business! Please don’t leave temple terrace 🙏🏻😂

We discovered this place while on our way to dine out on seafood. I am SO happy that we made a u turn and took a chance on this place. It's small but very clean and tastefully decorated. The fried okra side dish was the absolute best fried okra that I have ever eaten. It was fresh with a crispness to it. The light breading was perfectly seasoned. I had the fish fillet and shrimp. Every item I’ve tried was delicious, but my personal favorites are the Nashville hot grouper sandwich (most unique, a must try), their fried shrimp (great for sharing), and their blackened grouper (a delicious healthy option). Finally, their thin cut fries are phenomenal and go well with all of their house made sauces. The owners and staff are extremely invested in the quality of the food and the experience. I love this place!!

This is a good fast-casual seafood restaurant. We ate here on a family trip to the Busch Gardens area of Tampa. We had the shrimp Po Boy, the fish sandwich, the shrimp, and an order of fries. Everything was tasty. The owner and staff members were extremely friendly.

We had the most amazing dinner from Half Moon Seafood! They have created the most delicious seafood dinners. The breading is not too heavy and the filets are moist and flaky. We ordered grouper, whitefish, and shrimp which were ALL Delicious. Have to mention the packaging is A+. It is a cardboard container which helps keep the food hot but not steamed and soggy. Not only is the food first rate but the customer service is wonderful! Great owners, food and service! So glad to finally have a good seafood place in Temple Terrace. **I forgot to mention that the keylime pie cup is mouth watering :)
