Reviews of Haiku Tampa

I'LL BE BACK!
Hi guys! It's Lisa and I'm back with another food review.
Haiku was a great experience. The ambience is very sexy and romantic, great for a date night. At first I was disappointed with the drinks until it kicked in. 😃 Drinks were AWESOME!!! The sushi was amazing as well.
The only thing I didn't like was the music was too loud. It was hard to hear at the table.
Lastly, expect to paaaay. My date dropped $140 for 2 people.
I think it's worth the visit.

First of all, the food was really good- I recommend the pork bao buns & Japanese chicken & waffles. Drinks were fresh, and I love all the floral garnishes they add to each meal. However, for a Sunday Brunch, they hired a DJ who blasted club music the entire time, making it hard to hear everyone at our small table outdoors on the patio. Also, they included 20% gratuity already in the bill (which is okay, except they didn’t tell us), and this might have contributed to the slow-ish service. Overall, I would probably order the food for delivery but not come back to the actual restaurant.

A place you will want to have a reservation. It is a popular and trendy location but a little small...nothing wrong with that, just have a reservation. Drinks are great, I order the Hibiscus Mule and loved it. Our table also shared Fried Pork Gyoza Dumplings and Spicy Tempura Cauliflower. Cauliflower isn't spicy at all and reminded me of orange chicken. A great option for vegan/vegetarians since it tasted nothing like cauliflower and had some serious flavor. I ordered the Volcano Roll for myself and enjoyed it. Reason I give 4 stars is for price and service was good but a little all over the place.

Love this place! Love the vibe! Food and drinks are always delicious, and the service doesn't disappoint. The location is a quick stroll from Curtis Hixon Park. Great outdoor seating with live music, and the decor on the inside is vibrant. The only complaint is the volume of the music inside. It gives you the feeling of being in a club, shouting at one another during conversation. If you like Asian food, Haiku is a must!

Ok 👌 it's cute and trendy. Price-wise and food portions could be better but you're paying for the atmosphere. Cute outdoor seating for a nice day and the inside is definitely a vibe. I say try it I would come again when I'm in Tampa.

My experience started off rocky when I rec'd a call from the restaurant a few hours before my reservation asking for my credit card info 😑 I felt this was a little suspect &really should have been done when I made reservations (hence the 4 stars). ℕ𝕠𝕨 𝕠𝕟 2 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕘𝕠𝕠𝕕 𝕡𝕒𝕣𝕥... Our server John was 5-star excellent -very friendly & very patient with a large grad party. Wait for food after we ordered was maybe 12 minutes. FANTASTIC 𝟝-𝕊𝕋𝔸ℝ menu items that we ordered- 1. Eel roll 😋, 2. spicy miso chicken ramen 😋, 3. roasted kung pao chicken 😋 4. the most fantastic salad 𝔼𝕍𝔼ℝ (Berry avocado salad with grilled shrimp)!!! Nothing excites me about even the best salad but THIS is in a class of its own!! 5. Pork Bao buns, & 6. Tempura shrimp. We also ordered chicken udon noodles, chicken fried rice, blue crab California roll & several mixed drinks- all of which were very good. The drinks are a little pricy & a couple were served in very small glasses (another reason for the 4 stars). The manager (Cee) was awesome & was working just as hard as everyone else ( it was extremely busy). The only thing that I sorely did not like about the restaurant was those co-ed bathrooms 😣! Overall, it was a great dining experience & the restaurant is beyond beautiful!! Deserving of 4.5 stars!!! Can't wait to return. ***almost forgot about the 2 desserts- ordered the magic chocolate ball & the doughnuts. Both were AMAZING!!!

Hands down 1 of my favorite Tampa spots. Fun vibes and great food. Ive had the brunch and dinner. The wagyu is phenomenal and the salmon added to a salad is a must. Please give this place a try if the price point works for you. Quality comes at a cost and I for one do not settle when it comes to food. So glad this place is in Tampa wish you were in Atlanta Haiku !

Incredible food, incredible staff. Very attentive, friendly, and clearly enjoy working here. Definitely coming back. Sushi was exceptional- miso soup was suburb with fresh mushrooms, volcano roll had so much fresh fish for the price, and sashimi was very fresh. Highly recommend. Great IPA on tap as well.
