I hit the GR up EVERY TIME I come home to Tampa. ❤️ Those ladies behind the scenes know what they are doing. Yo ‘ the potato ball is also a champion! You’d be STUPID not to try their food. One of my all time favorite places to eat, been coming here since I was a little girl with my grandfather!! Everything is delicious but my favorites are the steak sandwich..the Cuban..stuffed potato..pork chop sandwich..and the pork and rice oh and let's not forget the breakfast, all SO good!! The best hole-in-the-wall place you'll ever go for breakfast & lunch. It's the BEST! I've been going there for over 40 years & even when it changed owners the authentic flavors & foods on the menu stayed the same. My favorite is the steak sandwich & fries... 2nd fave is the roast pork sandwich & fries (although you can get black beans & rice if you prefer) They also have the BEST fried chicken! To die for! Cubans, burgers & fish sandwiches & platters are a MUST TO TRY! I can't say that Ive ever had a bad meal here... Everything is made to order right there in front of you. I usually get take-out & call ahead but you can eat there if you like.

Don't let the looks of this place or the intersection it's at fool ya!!! This place is a great local feel good food place. Totally retro inside & that makes this place stand out. The Cuban bread & coffee is great. Today's visit...coffee took a while, but staff made up for it w/ extra Cuban bread for the office!!!!

I love this place!I have been eating here since i was a teenager and I'm in my forties now. The food is delicious.I moved out of the area years ago and any time I'm in the area I will make sure I stop by to get something. They have rhe best Cuban and steak sandwiches in my opinion.

Amazing service and food! We plan to return! It feels super home like, nice and calm. I loved being able to just sit and relax in a space that wasn't too crowded or loud. The service was amazing, super friendly and fun! We canny wait to come back!

It's not crowded and the prices are very reasonable. I accidentally spilled my coffee and I was given another one no charge and all I bought was Cuban cheese toast which was almost a foot long Ang gooey with cheese just like I like it. They have been there for a long time but I is only crowded in the early morning.

Small restaurant but food is packed with flavor. Very reasonably priced breakfast and lunch. They also cater. Menu differs from the daily menu. Workers are super friendly and take care of you like family. Stop on by and give them a try.

Very good breakfast. And for the most part a very friendly staff. The only reason I'm not giving Gold Ring Cafe 5 stars, is because of their prices, one staff members attitude, and they aren't open on Sundays. Other than that, it's excellent!!

Their sandwiches was nothing out of the ordinary. Will not be returning. My bill came out to $22 for 2 sandwiches and 2 Cuban toast. Smh! The lady there had an attitude, and I still gave her $2 tip.

I wasn't sold on Gold Ring at first. Good thing for me. Easily one of the best Cuban sandwiches I have had in Tampa. The Roast Pork meal with yellow rice and black beans also can rival the big players claiming to have the best Cuban food around. Head in early for a breakfast sandwich on Cuban bread, trust me.

This place is easily overlooked, but don't pass it by. They have a menu of dinners and sandwiches that always satisfy at a reasonable price. The interior is tiny, so it's best for takeout or catering.
