This place is a hidden gem. It looks very small on the outside but it’s huge inside! First time here and the food was PERFECT. Like everything was cooked great just how we asked and it tasted amazing! Everything tasted fresh and really well made. THE BREAD at the beginning is out of this world, baked to perfection. Big portions for the food, even the sides! Fairly priced, which is great for Italian food. Great service,everyone is friendly and attentive. We got a bit of everything to try the entrees and they were ALL amazing. We got the Mama Mary’s meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes,Cesar salad, grilled chicken salad,fried ravioli bites,chicken/steak fettuccine,pizza and spaghetti!! Best italian restaurant in Tampa!!

Been here before for some dinner and great Chicken Parm and today I tried them for lunch. I got the Meatball Sub and my buddy got the Burger. Wow. Buddy loved his burger and the sub was huge. Come get some great Italian and burgers at Ginos.

The food was good. The service was good. This place needs some serious upkeep. The air vents were loaded with dust. The floor was covered in food, footprints, dirt. The bathroom was dark and dingy and dirty and accommodates only one person. The parking lot should have been paved 10 years ago. The sign needs to be replaced or cleaned and updated. I got the chicken parm. It was slightly pricy. The breading was undercooked. It wasn't as crispy as it should have been. The Caesar salad dressing didn't taste like Caesar at all. Fries were crispy, but heavily under-seasoned. The bread was very good.

If you get a chance to go to Tampa, FL. Please check out Gino's restaurant. The food was delicious and I love Olive Garden, but Gino's beat them hands down. They give you 2 large soft garlic bread with butter and start you off my salad or the soup of the day. They have coke products, I asks the waitress for Sprite and she gave me a tall glass for 2. Try the Sampler #2, it comes with lasagna, chicken Parmigiana and shrimp linguini, the spaghetti and meatballs. Their grill shrimp salad was so good. Great atmosphere, friendly people. I will definitely come back here again and again.

The best neighborhood Italian restaurant! Their bread is amazing, their salad is so fresh, even their house wine is great, good body and taste. Customer service never let me down, the quality of the food and even better the amount for the price is definitely a good deal for the customers. Casual, formal will depend how you feel like that day, and Michael, best hands ever. We are definitely coming back. Sergio and Indy.

All servers and staff are mask less, went to sit at a table that was set up but has crumbs and food all over it. Other than that, food and service were great! We go to Gino’s several times a year. Love the Cajun Seafood salad for lunch. Their Bruschetta is to die for. All of their Italian foods are terrific. But the best deal is their catering to feed the multitudes at a decent price!

Wow! We have been looking for good Italian restaurant and found it! Huge portions which I love for leftovers and our server was very pleasant. The fresh cannoli is must for desert.....don't pass by this restaurant ❤🍝

Food & Service was really good. Wednesdays they have good beer specials. They didn't have straws but that was the only bad part. The calamari & lasagna was amazing. I prefer the soup over the salad any day. Beer was ice cold & the bread was really tasty.

Went here with some friends and famkly while on vacation. The staff are incredibly friendly and courteous. The food took a bit but the waiter kept us appraised. The food came out and were in very generous proportions. Everything was well cooked and tasted delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any in the area looking for excellent Italian food in a homey atmosphere.

We've eaten here a couple times before. The service wasn't great, the indoor dining experience was a bit disappointing, but we got a pizza to go, which was really good and have gone back for take out pizza. Very unique pizza, that I drove 20 minutes to pick up...

Our family went last night to celebrate my wife's American Citizenship and we were very impressed. The food was excellent! Their pasta was cooked perfectly, their tomatoe sauce was not too sweet and used more tomatoes, their veal sorrentino was amazing, and the atmosphere was very home style. We'll be dining here more often for our Italian style meals. The only real issue I had was Karen (some evasive woman who seemed like she wanted to explode) kept coming into the dining area (like six times) when she was seatted in the bar area; And her first "GRAND" entrance was to yell out "Did anyone else call ahead?!" since the main dining area was full. She also made her way once through the dining area from the front of the restaurant to the back looking for who knows what!? Not the restaurants' fault, just the dirty blonde long haired, in her late 50's to 60's wearing mid rimmed plastic glasses. Just be AWARE of that woman!

Wow. Good fresh food. I had a mediterranean salad...fresh interesting ingredients.....hubby had the flat bread meat lovers pizza. We wish we could have tried other menu items but we didn't have room in our bellies.

Nice local Italian restaurant and bar. Delicious food and good selection of wine and beer. We got bottle of Moscato Cavit ($19- fair price) and it was so good, not too sweet like other moscato that I tried before, refreshing and not strong alcohol. Meal served with salad and hot bread with garlic butter were tasty. We got gnocchi with grill chicken and eggplants Parmesan were delightful. Nice atmosphere, friendly staffs, good services. Definitely coming back to try more food and drinks. They also has happy hour for drinks before 7pm. Close for Sunday. Came back a few more times and the food absolutely delicious. Have some red sangria ($4) and huge plate of seafood pasta, so good. If you like gnocchi then it great place to have it.

My fiance and I absolute favorite bar restaurant to go to!!! A simple mom and pop place that does the best Italian food I've ever had, not to mention a HUGE selection of craft beer and wine. The owner is super friendly, he even comes out and check on you, helps serve and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Be prepared to take home leftovers, big plates! 😉

Chicken parm is good and so is the fettuccini Alfredo! Their bread served with salad is delicious also. I have ate here a few times and the service is always good. Only complaint I have is they do not provide straws with any of their beverages.

My wife and I used to go here frequently about 15 years ago; when we had no kids. We just went back with my two daughters, and as always Gino's didn't disappoint. The wait staff are attentive and very nice. The restaurant is small, but cozy. Best of all, the food is amazing. If you decide to visit, be prepared to make this your new favorite place. My daughter's can't wait to go back again.

The prices are fair for the quantity and the bar is a welcoming place to sit. Anytime we venture from our usual favorites though, say to try one of the specials, we usually wish we hadn't. Case in point, the mussels, which we thought were overcooked and the red sauce was basically chunky marinara. Maybe if it came with a side of pasta it would have made more sense...

Great staff, friendly atmosphere, numerous beers and wines available. The place could use some upgrading, the menu could cut out some items as it makes it difficult to make a decision on what to get. The pizza was tasty and original, but a bit greasy and the dough could use a little help as well. Iverall, good spot to drink and grab a bite to eat.

This quaint little establishment is a gem in the neighborhood. Gino's has been around for years, longer than I can remember and I've been going there with my friends and family for over twenty years. Tucked down Armenia Ave., Gino's has been serving Italian fare and daily specials to keep your palette satisfied. They're known for their awesome eggplant parmigiana, delicious and filling, whether you get the dinner plate or the eggplant in a sub roll, you won't be disappointed. They also have a nice selection of wines displayed in the restaurant. The bar is located on the left side of the restaurant, should you just want to get your drink on. On the weekends, get there early, the parking lot fills up fast since there are limited spaces. So, if you're looking for some great Italian comfort food and a friendly staff, please go and try it yourself, you can't go wrong.

First of, our server was Jennifer. She was awesome! My wife and I went on a Saturday to celebrate our anniversary. Jennifer made our day special. The food was fantastic! The best eggplant parmesan I've ever had. My wife had spaghetti with meatballs. She loved it. The star of the show was the bananas foster. It was delicious. We'll definitely be back. Our prayers go out to Jennifer, who is leaving to take care of her ill Mom.

Been eating here since 1982 - Great food but also used to have a mature (as in no teenage silliness) crowd and soft acoustic music on weekends. Since I was never a hard drinker their wine selection was perfect for me. I spent many a weekend night sipping on wine there and enjoying the crowd and music. I haven't been there in a while but if they held on to anything from the past this is one of the best night spots in Tampa IMO, especially for dates. I never once saw a fight or any thug stuff here. Prices also were very reasonable. If you go for the food which was great American Italian I would suggest a lunch, when they are not busy dealing with the weekend crowd. They used to have an interesting gimmick on their menu - An advertised 100 types of burgers and the ones I tried were delicious. But they dropped that some years ago. I have not been there recently and just thought of them. I now want to go and see what its like now.

New to the Tampa, Florida area. Amazing food and environment, it's worth every penny. A party of 12 went to celebrate a birthday party and everyone left satisfied and happy. The chef came out to speak and mentioned he has been serving consistent food for over 20 years. Great place to eat, my go to spot for Italian food.

Seems like this is a place/menu more suited for seniors and bar people. Not really a good fit for kids. Pretty dark, wine bottles next to tables where they can reach/knock over, 3 kids menu items - plain spaghetti with a meatball, cheese ravioli and chicken tenders.

I stopped here because of all the glowing reviews, but I was left underwhelmed. The best part of my dinner was the bread service. I didn’t care for my salad; I felt the dressing had a strong anchovy taste to it. After taking two bites, I moved it across my table to show that I was done. From the time my waiter brought me bread, he never returned once to check on my meal and make sure everything was good. He walked by countless times and saw my full salad plate sitting there, but never asked if everything was okay. I would have liked more bread, but he never checked in or even offered to bring more. I asked for little chicken in my gnocchi, but the plate I got had a lot of chicken. The food was decent, but definitely not worth me driving from South Tampa. The service would keep me from ever returning.

This place was amazing! If you haven't been and you are looking for a good date night this is a good spot to try out. The exterior should not steer you away, the inside is very nice and clean. The staff was excellent when we went, very nice, and accommodating. The experience overall was nice. Most meals come with bread and soup which is nice. The food was excellent, really tasty. The restaurant when we went wasn't to busy during lunch, so I am not sure in the evening how it packs in. The overall dining room was not large. Definitely, would recommend this place.

Main course was good and there was a lot of it! The prices were very high and unexpected. My daughter's burger cost more than my spouse's meal and he had veal parmesan. They weren't busy at all but the waitress seemed like she was overwhelmed. Any time anything was brought out, it was placed directly in front of my 9 month old, which can reach so I was constantly heading that off. Overall, I expected a friendlier atmosphere.

The Fun House

Love going here with the family, on date night, with friends, for dinner and lunch. It never disappoints. This is one of the few mom and pop restaurants around and is a true gem. We travel 30 minutes to go here every time we want a great meal. Recently we took family there and they loved it. They are international travelers and foodies and they were very impressed. And the service is great! The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Very good Italian cuisine with large portions and included sides makes this officially the best Italian restaurant for it's value in Tampa (In my opinion of course). The prices are a bit on the high end but you are getting large portions and very tasty entrees. The atmosphere is festive and inviting just a very welcoming place. It has that neighborhood feel to it. Service was friendly, courteous and attentive.

Joined some friends who go here regularly, and I can see why! A very casual atmosphere. You would take a date here to impress them with the food. It's been here, as a neighborhood "joint" for several decades. The service was attentive and very friendly! I had Chicken Picatta that came with a side of Linguini with Alfredo sauce. Both were incredible, to me, textbook examples of how they both should taste. I ordered a side Caesar salad which was made with very fresh ingredients. The best I've ever had? No, but very good. We ended up sharing a cream stuffed Cannoli and a slice of Red Devil Cake. Cannoli in general, have never thrilled me, but that cake was out of this world!! Tablemates ordered entree salads and I was told emphatically that the meatloaf and steaks there are also very to notch. You like good classical Italian fare for an incredible price? Check out out!!

This place is incredible, as soon as you enter you can feel the exquisite aromas of the food, fresh bread, lots of parmesan, good drinks. We celebrated my husband's birthday with a family dinner and we couldn't be more comfortable with the choice. Excellent food, excellent attention, definitely a place to visit again.

Top 5 BEST Italian restaurants we've ever been to! Portions we're huge, quality was impeccable, service was amazing and food was so delicious!! We are big Italian foodies and GINO'S did NOT disappoint! As an out of towner, I will be sure to find my way back as often as possible! I had the number 1 combo and my husband had the number 2 combo, we shared and seriously so authentic, even down to the sauces we're so flavourful! Also, can we just take a minute to appreciate the garlic bread!? Butter dreams, fresh and warm! Also, as a family, they brought out the kid's meal first without having to ask! HUGE props for that, because we all know the stress of hangry littles can be in a restaurant! Would HIGHLY recommend and look forward to the next trip!

I ordered carryout, but I have dined at Gino’s MANY TIMES pre-COVID, and I ALWAYS had an AHHHMAZING experience there, but I’m putting this review in because I just wanted to say that the Hostess/young lady who answered the Phone to place my order was SOOOO PLEASANT on the phone. Her tone and patience...just everything about her phone manners were impeccable and when I arrived to pick up my dinner, her look was as pristine as her demeanor was over the phone. I unfortunately did NOT get her name and I regret doing so, but I just wanted to put a review out there to give her props on her customer service skills since over the years I feel like that concept has gone by the wayside and some places just don’t understand how IMPORTANT THAT IS to a customer. To see a smiling face and someone who takes care in their appearance knowing they are the “face” most likely seen first entering the business. She is a 5/5 ✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️ for sure. I was in hospitality for over ten years when I was younger and can appreciate excellent service when given. Great job.

Great food! One of the best Italian restaurants I've been too. Calamari was great. Italian Sausage had a perfect wine sauces paired with it. Lasagna, linguine with Alfredo, and Chicken Parm were very tasty and huge portions of every dish we had. Staff made you feel welcomed. We even took our 1 year old and stayed for awhile.

Went for drinks, the place has a couple of TV's and serves beer as well as wine. Sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive. Very homey and inviting atmosphere. Very nice find, for bar and chit chat. Didn't have the food cause myself am vegan. Again, great staff, attentive and not crowded.

This place is a Small neighborhood business that has the kind of food that makes you quiet. My favorite is the Gnocchi appetizer with shrimp. I have never gotten a bad meal here. Full bar and excellent wine selection. Call ahead if you have a large party and parking can be tricky. Great first date place.

Great food. Go in hungry because portions are huge. Service is expert and very friendly. Gino's is a small family restaurant so seating is tight and can be very loud during the dinner hour. With that said good times might be around five or after seven in the evening. They have specials ,look for them . Gino's is a fun place to eat and eat you will.

I want to commend Gino’s on the fabulous food they prepared for after the services of one of their Tuesday night regulars. Michael the owner was so great when I called to order the food. We order the Eggplant Parmigiana, Chicken Marsala, Salad, Bread and one other item. The amount of food was overwhelming not to mention a hit with everyone. I really want to thank Michael and the staff at Gino’s for a wonderful experience. I look forward to using them again not to mention recommending them to anyone with catering needs or just a great place for dinner.

Went to Gino’s many times. I had the chicken Marsala once which was not very good...way too oily, definitely not my taste. I love their spinach Alfredo pasta, had it many times. Service is good. With the large crowd that they usually get, I think they should focus on expanding the restaurant a bit.

Small family-owned Italian restaurant. Excellent food. A friend visiting from New York was skeptical when I took him, but when he tasted the food it became a favorite spot to eat every time he visits. Excellent service, reasonable prices, very generous portions. I always have leftovers.

A family run business started in New York in 1937 and transplanted to Tampa in the 70's and passed down through 3 generations. Server Kaitlyn was very pleasant and efficient. We were well cared for.

They are super flexible on changes -I wanted the Seafood Salad grilled, not blackened and with the cucumber/wasabi dressing, and my husband wanted marinara, not the fra diablo sauce for the seafood pasta, and it was a no problem at all change for the kitchen. Our server was a sweetheart and very attentive. Overall, wonderful and we''ll go back forever!

My cousin suggested we dine at Gino's as he used to frequent this restaurant and wanted to go back. I love Italian so I was looking forward to an authentic experience. The garlic bread was excellent, the salad was drenched in dressing so I recommend asking for it on the side. The chicken marsala however did not impress me. The sauce might have been over cooked, it was dark and did not taste that great, which was disappointing. My boyfriend was pleased with his Veal Parmesan and was excited they even had Veal on the menu. The pecan pie dessert was excellent. I will give them another try and just not order the marsala.

I love this place. I used to live right around the corner from Gino's and went there at least once a week. Now whenever I visit Tampa I insist on grabbing some grub there. The bar side is fun and friendly. The restaurant side is quaint and quiet. But both offer delicious food and amazing service. All the people I know speak highly of Gino's and I recommend you try it out. Personally I love the blue max burger, but you cannot go wrong with any choice.

Gino's food is always fresh and delicious. Service hasn't been the most consistent. I always buy a container of their house salad dressing which is a super flavorful oil and red wine vinegerette with garlic, herbs, etc. The last time I bought it, the price went up to $10 for a quart (I think). A little pricey but will last about 2 weeks refrigerated.

I have never regretted more that I've developed lactose intolerance. Ate there a couple nights ago with family, including my picky teenager, and everything was absolutely delicious. We had varied offering, chicken picatta, zitti and spaghetti, pizza, steak marsala. It was all amazing. The bread was excellent, too, though the pool of butter was a little off putting until it soaked well in. I will absolutely be returning, though I might very well risk the pain of reaction just to get my tastebuds on the cheesy deliciousness I could not have. (I had the chicken picatta, it was amazing, I regret nothing other than that there wasn't more of it. The chicken was so tender that I could cut it with my fork.) The only downside is that the place is small, so seating felt a little tight. But the ambiance and good food made up for it in spades.

Very cute local restaurant. Quaint and cozy! Plenty of tables, the area is separated in a bar and a dinning area. The wait staff was very friendly and prompt. Our waiter Louie was super nice and quick. Food was absolutely delicious. The salad was very fresh and crunchy. The tomato soup was very good. The bruschetta was a very generous portion, I think 4 people could split it. The sampler #2 and rib eye were very good. Cheese galore on everything, and the rib eye was covered in bacon. YUMM-Y. The lasagna has super delicious italian sausage in it. And the liguini alfredo was super simple but still very delicious. Def will be coming back, highly recommend!

Been here before Covid. Food is amazing and so is the service. Recently though...I ordered takeout for curbside and they told me curbside was not available. Ok, I’ll go inside. Wearing a mask. When I arrive none of the staff are wearing masks and the bar is packed. People are seated apart (not all tables filled) but the lack of masks inside was not ideal. Proceed with caution. If you are sensitive about Covid safety perhaps wait until this is all over, or order delivery.

Let's start out by saying that in my opinion Gino's is a neighborhood hidden gem in Tampa. This quaint Italian American restaurant Is a cozy little nook of booths and tables of an era gone by. The bar side is unique and inviting as well. This would definitely be the place where Bruno Tatallia would have eaten and sipped on espresso. All of the Italian dishes are quite good and very fresh at a more than affordable price. For lunch I especially like the eggplant sandwich. The shrimp scampi and most of the pasta dishes rate very highly with the only exception being the lasagna which just didn't sit right with my palate. The side accoutrements such as the Italian bread, the soup and or salads are delicious and very well done. What more can I say about Gino's other than it is a great escape that you can drive right by if you don't know about it. It's been there for years and years and is a great go to when you're not sure what you would like to eat. Don't forget that they also serve Burgers and grinders which are also very good. For atmosphere, good food and a decent bottle of wine Gino's on Linebaugh Avenue in Tampa gets two thumbs up. Mangiare.

The food portions are huge, so expect a doggy bag, but it's so good. The service can be a tad sluggish, but these things happen. Trust me, you will be back multiple times.

People are nice but service is slow, especially if they're busy. Tables are too crowded together. Some food is good, like pizza and pasta dishes. Decent wine selection. The mussels are way too big. Veal picata is very salty, especially disappointing as picata is a favorite. Caesar salad had bitter lettuce and almost flavorless dressing. I'll just stick with the pasta next time and go early to avoid a long wait.

I ate here today for my coworkers birthday. I'm not an Italian food person, but the food and portion sizes were wonderful. I had the Chicken Picatta w/ Fettuccini. I have been hearing great things about this place for a while now, but had never made it in. First off let me start with our server, Carry. He was great! He was so sweet & funny, and super attentive to our table. I am sure the other servers there are great also, but when we go back I will be requesting him again. I think that I liked more than anything is that this place isn't your average cookie cutter Italian restaurant. They have many of the typical items you would expect to see on an Italian restaurant menu however the do a good job of making it their own. We started off with the bruschetta as an appetizer. I'm not going to lie, when it came out it looked a little weird. For sure not your traditional bruschetta, but weird looking or not it was good. For our main dishes we ordered the chicken parmesan, the cheese ravioli, and a kids pasta with grilled chicken. All of our orders came with a salad. The salad were big and really good. The house dressing was incredibly flavorful. When our food first came I at first thought they were bringing me a cheese pizza instead of the intended cheese ravioli. The ravioli comes served with a thick layer of melted cheese on top. I am a huuuuuge fan of cheese (who isn't?!), it was delicious. I did not order this myself, but did try some. The size of the chicken parmesan was massive. It is for sure a plate that is meant to be split. The chicken was very thin and super tender. The amount of food that came out for the pasta and grilled chicken was really big having been for a kids meal. As an adult I probably would have been full from it. The pasta itself wasn't anything too fancy looking, but the chicken that topped it was plentiful and really tender and flavorful. For dessert we tried the zeppole. I had never heard of them before but our server swore they were delicious, and they were, maybe my favorite past of dinner!! If you're like me and have no idea what those are, imagine a combination between a funnel cake, a beignet, and a hush puppy all in one, served with 3 homemade amazing dipping sauces (strawberry, warm chocolate, and warm caramel).

The key to great Italian food is the sauce. Gino's gets the sauce right - along with pretty much everything else. Lots of great menu choices and inventive daily specials, though my favorite is the seafood fra diavolo, which is large, nicely spicy, and loaded with all kinds of shellfish and other seafood. I’m a vegan and one of my clients suggested having the Harvest Salad. She brought it in to me on her next salon visit and I must say it was delicious! She warned me the only obstacle in getting the food is that the man who takes phone orders is very rude. I went to Gino’s and picked up a salad to avoid calling. I didn’t feel welcomed at all. The entire experience made me feel like I was a bother for wanting salad. So today 11/13 I decided to give them one more shot. Against my better judgement I called the order in. I politely asked for the Harvest Salad and Rude Guy said “Yeah, I know Dennis its in. You want another one?” In a very rude manner. I told him I don’t know who Dennis is but I would like a salad. “Ok, wait, it’s busy!” (background noise) “I’m trying to run the bar”. A really nice guy picks up the phone and takes my order with no fuss. Any Resturant that comes with a warning about rude behavior is not worth patronizing no matter how great the food is. My client works at a large City building so everyone knows about this guy. I own a salon and I have shared my experience with my clients. The customer service environment has to change to sustain this business. I hope this review changes that.

Ginos is one of those hidden gems for locals. Tucked away in a residential area with amazing prices and great italian. Friendly service and bottle of wine specials for little markup, because it is attached or partnered with a wine shop. Try the seafood fra diavolo or get a sampler. Great for a date but it fills up quickly.

Let me just you know you are in for an excellent meal when a simple house salad explodes in your mouth with awesome flavor. The bread doused in awesome garlic butter, Yummy, my diet didn't approve. The Seafood Fra Diavolo was loaded with muscles, shrimp, scallops. My wife's Lasagna, lets just say I would have had a stub if I reached over to sample it.
