Nothing to complain, delicious experience. Margarita was amazing, like creamy!!! Sangria also very good. Wings nice and crispy. Meatballs very good. Four cheese pizza, amazing! Pesto pasta, also amazing. Nice environment and friendly staff.

**Is it good? Yeah. It is.** Overall: This establishment is nestled in Hyde Park as an Italian restaurant with a modern take. At Forbici, you can take a load off and partake in fine cuisine and a vibrant atmosphere. Food: I ordered the Alora pizza, a wood fired masterpiece with prosciutto and oven roasted tomatoes. All of the flavors and temperatures were on point. My party also had the tiramisu, which was delectable and light. Service: The service here was nothing short of excellent. Alice, our waitress was amazing in providing efficient service, great food recommendations, and overall superb hospitality. The food comes out in a timely manner, even when busy. Atmosphere: Modern with an alternative pop culture twist. Clean and inviting. Even though I would not recommend it as a family spot, a lot of families with young children do come to pay a visit. Conclusion: Do I recommend coming here? Yeah. It's pretty good. This is definitely my date night spot. Rating 4.7 out of 5

Delicious Italian food. Love the love music/entertainment that the restaurant has. The drinks were great and the food is something in itself. The pasta and the Roman pizza were beyond words. We will definitely return here.

I’ll start by saying that the food was very good. Meatball appetizer was delicious. I got the gnocchi carbonara and boyfriend got the mushroom risotto and both plates were very good only lacking a touch of salt on the potato gnocchi dish. Tiramisu was light and lovely. My only complaint is that it took over 5 minutes for someone to even greet us after being sat even though 3 different servers walked by. However once our waiter did come he was excellent and gave us a good experience. 😁 Would recommend.

I'll be honest - the food isn't terrible. It really just depends on what you get and it'll either taste basic or not. The pizza is delicious, although the last time I went it was greasier than usual. The shrimps are good. The steak and potatoes were great. The cheesecake was all right, but too sweet with the compote. We had a couple issues with our server and especially because her shift ended before we had finished dining. We came in last minute on a Sunday night and were able to snatch the larger booth in the corner, which was nice. They also had a live musician performing right when you walk in. The ambiance is nice and not so bright, which I liked. If you can't find street parking, there is free parking in the garage across from Forbici.

Great food, fantastic staff. A group of us went for dinner last night and couldn't have been happier. The restaurant was packed but food still came out really fast. The servers were attentive to our party. We started the night with a round of appetizers. We just asked the server to "take care of us" and bring out what he think we would like, and he did not disappoint. Juicy meatballs, crunchy pizza, charcuterie, calamari and more. For dinner, I ordered the Sand bowl with blackened shrimp. It was a unique blend of bitter and savory with nice big blackened shrimp. Definitely worth checking out. Appointments recommended.

Delicious food and some good looking interior design. Dress casually, but expect some great Italian food coming your way. We hit this place up for brunch, and everything came out amazing. Stop by if you're in the area. They treat you better than other places.

We went Friday night and were able to get a table immediately. Our server, I think Sarah, was really helpful with the menu so I could find something that fit my allergies. All the food and drinks were amazing!! They have a great selection of vegan and vegetarian options

This places got really good food. The MeatBalls ! Amazing. It was my appetizer but I got em two times… My fav. I order the Veal with Marinara sauce and cheese … it was Delicioso. The drinks were alright. I was hungry and the drinks weren’t on my radar but they work. Lol would recommend for sure. The service was on point, the atmosphere as well. Seating was fast , maybe I got lucky. Lots of people and most seemed to be in a good mood…..So… It can’t be due to bad service . Go check it out. I’m def. Coming by again…. Oh almost forgot .. got the tiramisu and that was on point. I wish I had ice-cream with it hahah

Good experience for our visit, recommend to make reservation if you don’t wanna wait. The service was great, the food was coming out fast even though it was busy. Very good vibes from the restaurant, food the pizza were great, and also the cavatelli was another dish for recommendations. Liked the special 5$ bread basket, only draw back is the music was little loud in the dining area.

My husband and I visited Forbici for the second time (first time was lunch a few months ago). There were 7 of us and we went on the Sunday night before labor day. We did not have to wait for a table which I was surprised by but was also relieved. The atmosphere is nice--upbeat music, not too loud inside, and cozy. Be prepared to sit close to other tables/people. The food was amazing! I ordered the eggplant lasagna and my husband had the cup and char pizza. Other orders included square pizzas, shrimps, a grain bowl, and a seafood pasta dish. The featured margarita was delish as well as the mule. Service was also great--when our food was ready multiple staff members delivered our food for better efficiency and I love the all hands on deck approach as a former server. When we got the bill, which included 5 people and 2 craft cocktails, we were pleasantly surprised by how affordable it was for how good the food was. We also received a birthday dessert for my husband which we appreciated 🎂 Other perks were free parking (probably a main reason why we visit Hyde Park) available throughout 3 garages and close proximity to places for desserts and drinks. We will definitely be back to visit Forbici.

The food was delicious and tasty. We really enjoyed this Italian restaurant and the menu items were pretty affordable. We ordered a Chicken Parmesan Sandwich. The chicken was tender and tasty. The bread was so good and delicious, it was soft and spongy. It came with French fries. My wife got a Tagliapele (Bolognase Pasta). It was amazing. The meat had a very good flavor. I believe this is one of the only italian restaurants that I've been were the bread wasn't complementary. But the drinks had free refills. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.

We went on a Sunday during the Farmers Market outside and the place was very busy! Despite the chaotic atmosphere, we were seated in a timely manner and the service was on par! The four of us enjoyed the chicken parm and Italian sandwiches very much! My Italian was probably the best I’ve had and our sandwich buns were fresh and toasted. Delicious! Our beautiful wives enjoyed their cocktails too. Do go!

It was a very nice experience dining here! We were celebrating a birthday so it was a fancy occasion. I’m not going to lie, the meal was on the pricier side but that’s is to be expected from a restaurant in Hyde park village. The food was immaculate so I would still recommend 100%.

Yes do come! Our wait was only 30 mins & it was perfect because we got to walk around Hyde park! The food itself was AMAZING! I strongly recommend the Cavatelli & Cacio y Pepe super delicious!!! We did order the artisonal bread & I think it would okay, I would skip out on it next time going forward but our MAIN COURSE WAS ON POINT! & so we’re our drinks! Loved the Italian Sky & my bf got the old Fashion which was great. Can we take a second to apprecite they always have live music ?! How amazing that is & the overall vibe is soo nice too! So I will be coming back

Highly recommend the Bolognese 10/10 the best I've had at a restaurant. The restaurant is busy but the service is quick. Beautiful restaurant. Recommend sitting at the bar to avoid a wait to be seated. Great drinks and Italian classics.

One of my favorite restaurants in Hyde Park! Always great food, service, and ambiance. Our waitress was extremely helpful and made sure everything was to our liking. I recommend the Pesto pasta and the meatball, wings, and peppers from the appetizers!

This place has a cool vibe! Takes walk ins even on busy nights but keep im mind that it might get a bit too lound inside. The food is good. Service a bit slow. The beef carpaccio and the caesar salad are good (but in case u thought about adding shrimp to the salad, you’re only getting 3). The pizza are good, the crust is a bit thick tho. Fries are not that great.

FORBICI is absolutely amazing! I love the aesthetics and motif of this open concept restaurant! We loved our appetizers, we ordered the Insalatas with grilled shrimp on iceberg lettuce with creamy Parmesan dressing, it was absolutely delicious! We look forward to coming back very soon! This is definitely a restaurant I highly recommend for everyone to visit when you’re in Hyde Park!

First time there, great happy hour specials! Wings and pizza are a must!!! Espresso martini was a slight disappointment Expresso is not made fresh to order instead premade so it does not have that kick, however really nice atmosphere and live music can't go wrong..will be going back

It was the first time my family and I dined at Forbici. I have to say that I loved the ambiance and the live music. The cavatelli with the mushrooms and add chicken, square cup and char Pizza, and the meatballs with the whipped ricotta were out of this world! The service from Sara was outstanding! She was very knowledgeable and recommended everything we ate and very sweet! We will definitely be back!

It was my first time dining there. We went on a Wednesday without a reservation & was quickly sat inside at a high top table. Sarah took great care of us! We loved the light Roman style pizza & meatballs. We will be back!

This was one of the top restaurants from our list and finally for Sunday dinner I made a reservation at OpenTable. When we went at the restaurant we were greeted at the front desk and in 5 minutes we got our table. Our server her name was Katelyn came to our table with water and asked about our orders. Since this was our first time so we asked what's popular. She happily obliged and told her favorites. First we ordered drinks which was Virgin Mojito. Then by looking at the appetizers list we decided to order Shishito Peppers. For our dinner we ordered SM Funghi and Full Penne Alfredo Pasta with grilled chicken on side. Our order was quick and we got the order in less than 10 minutes. We loved each and every menu item that we ordered and that made our day. The food was amazing, delicious, finger licking. The atmosphere as well as decor of Forbici was amazing. We loved our Sunday evening at the restaurant. Plus full marks to our server for guiding us and always there for help whenever needed.

Celebrated my Birthday...the atmosphere was wonderful. Live music ... the food was hot and full of flavor. For a Saturday night and how busy the it was NOT one single mistake was made the order for a party of 12, and NOT one glass was ever left empty or half full. GREAT JOB 10 stars.

Went here for a company group dinner and dined with a preset menu. I got the calamari, the Erica salad, the Sirloin 10oz Creekstone Prime, and tiramisu for dessert. Every item very was excellent! The steak was made perfectly to order, it was very flavorful and moist. The calamari was fresh and very tender and had great flavors. Overall a great dining experience and would definitely return to try some of their other items.

I'm definitely coming back. Easy reservations, both indoor and outdoor seating. Fantastic drink and good selections. I tried the impossible meatballs, which tasted amazing and I didn't miss the meat at all. I also had the grouper plate with cauliflower puree, capers and spinach. Added a glass of super Tuscan wine and it was a perfect night.

5 star service from our server Katelyn 4 star for food (pizza and meatballs were our favorite option!) 5 star for our cocktails (margarita was great!) 1 star for the hostess who rolled her eyes when I politely asked if we could sit at an empty table near the fire (it was 30 degrees out) and was rude and seemed annoyed by the request. She said paused to stare at me then stated “well I’d have to clean it..” which I responded “that’s fine thank you!” And she walked off ignoring me. Average score 3.75 for this experience

We moved here from Alaska about a year ago, and one of our first dinners out was Forbici. Food is always amazing. Service is great and we have returned multiple times. We came out tonight (Friday at 6:30 — the last reservation outside). Our server was MJ, and despite a busy and chaotic evening, she made sure all our requests were fulfilled. Thank you for making tonight great for us! We have also dined with Zach, and he is a wonderful server. We always look forward to coming here for date nights. Espresso martini is the best around, calamari is wonderfully done (the lemon juice seals the taste), firebird pizza and pasta. All favorites. Nothing has disappointed us.

Love the location, the atmosphere, the food and the drinks. We ordered several thing but I only took a picture of one dish. The dish looks simple but don't let it fool you, every bite was deliciously savory. This is NOT your average "pizza spot" so do make reservations if you don't want to wait. We went for brunch and didn’t have to wait in line! There was Delicious pizza with a great server! Spiced Pear Martini (seasonal)- nice martini but very sweet. 4/5 Beef Carpaccio- great appetizer but the beef was so thin that it was difficult to pry from plate. Flavour was on point though. 4/5 Calabrian Chicken wings- it was delicious! It was juicy and caramelized. The wing was so good I didn’t even use the sauce. If you don’t like a sweet wing, this isn’t for you 4/5 Meatballs- it was good but not amazing. An average meatball. Not enough flavour in it in my opinion. 3/5 Avocado Toast- this was bland. I’m pretty sure there was no seasoning in it. Not a great avocado toast. 2/5 Funghi Pizza- this was amazing. The crust was so good. This feels like a focaccia bread with amazing flavour and texture topped with mushrooms and a great truffle creamy sauce. 5/5

Loved this restaurant. Beautiful decor, food, and vibe. Had a long wait, but we were ok waiting as we walked the little village. They’re pretty good about sending reminder texts when table is ready. Food was amazing, done right, and the portions are pretty decent as well.

This place is amazing! Our server was Jake and he was outstanding; very attentive, friendly, and quick. The ambiance was great, lovely decor including in the bathroom; plus, there were Halloween decorations. The food was phenomenal. I had Spaghetti (Cacio e pepe) and it was almost exactly the same as what I've had in Rome. My friends had Cavatellii, Tagliatelle, and the Ravioli special. They were all delicious as well (I had a bite of everything 😂). Some of the main dishes come in a half portion size which was perfect. We had Suppli as an appetizer which was so good. I've seen it called arancini at other restaurants but Suppli is apparently the correct name since it's Roman, not Sicilian, and there is no meat. We had the Lemon Olive Oil Cake for dessert although I didn't try it because I'm not eating sweets. My friends liked it though. I can't wait to go back!

Overall: Best Italian in Hyde Park Bill: $92 without Tip (Including Drinks for 2) Attended with girlfriend, made a reservation and I think this saved us as it gets quote busy, was seated promptly and service all night was great. Meatball Appetizer: Tender meatballs, sauce not overly sweet, order with whipped ricotta. Erica Salad Appetizer: Light tasty salad, good mix of dried cherries, almonds and balsamic. Brussel Sprouts: Very much enjoyed Alora Round Pizza: Overall good flavor but expected it to be thinner and crispier, left a little to be desired. Tiramisu Dessert: 2/5 ... little dry and lacking much flavor. Affogato Dessert: Enjoyed much more than the Tiramisu, especially with the espresso to give a small hit of caffeine. Will be back!

Our favorite local Italian restaurant in the village isn't coming back after COVID so today we tried this place. Granted, it is take-out so I don't care about presentation. However, to spend $18 on this is ridiculous! We assumed it came with pasta, as every place I've ever ordered this at does, but apparently not here. If this was a taste or service issue I would definitely try them again, but up be charged $18 in this economy I expect a little more. At LEAST notify us that pasta isn't included. I double checked the online ordering and it mentions nothing of a side, or give the option to add it. It doesn't mention it comes with bread either, but I guess it's okay to assume that item is included. On a final note, what I got does taste good.

This is a great, quaint spot to get some newly inspired Italian food. The service is good and the location is great -- only a block from the parking garage. Jason, one of the co-owners, is a gracious and engaging host -- he'll make you feel welcomed and wanting to come back.

Man I wish I would have come here sooner. I don't know how this place doesn't have better reviews. I order the pan and char, pepperoni pizza (square) and it was quite alot to eat myself. I recommend asking for it to be double cut for easier eating next time. I've had alot of different pizzas but never one like this. It was somehow chewy but not tough. Almost like a soft focaccia bread. It was great. The place seemed upscale but laid back. I went on a Friday evening and they had live music. My waitress Sally was very nice and attentive. I didn't have the pasta but the table next to me was racing about it to each other. If you've thought about coming here, don't wait any longer.

My first time in this cute Hyde Park neighborhood, we sat in the middle of the day and our experience was one to remember for the excellent service from Nick. First of all he showed us all of our options, regular menu, happy hour menu. I ordered the sicilian margaritas, my friend whispered to me I d love a cocktail but I am pregnant, he heard us and quick and sweet enough had a Mocktail for her coming,, kind of the virgen version of mine.. He did respect our space, and the assistants were around checking on us. Our appetizers were fresh and delicious, the wings were to die for. We ordered out of the grains menu, who knew about such a great healthy number of options,? , mushrooms risotto with this tender buttery steak. .. he switched her coffee without even asking, he found out it was a bit cold. I have to say... it is a job to serve people, it is part of the job to keep of details, but clearly Nick went beyond and above. It was a celebration of the news and we will never forget, it was so pleasant, surely we will be back.

This place was packed (90 min wait for a party of two) on a Thursday evening in February. Luckily someone canceled and we were seated (shout out to the great hostesses who communicated accurately and confidently) within minutes. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The menu is Italian but with contemporary twists. The food itself was good, but not great. For the gluten-free people out there, they do have gluten-free pasta and pizza!

Great place to go for drinks, good food and live music. The vibe is great and its always a fun time. Bartenders are awesome, super attentive and really friendly and cool, especially Alexandra and Steve. Two of the best bartenders in all of Tampa!! They are one of the main reasons many of the regulars keep coming back!

I've ordered through UberEats a few times. Meatballs and pizza. Meatballs are wonderful. The pizza is near perfect but, very heavy on salt. Per my above review. My apologies to Forbici regarding the comment on salt. Apparently, I have COVID and did not realize I was losing smell and taste. Everything tastes like salt at the moment. I'm sure their pizza was perfect...the extreme taste of salt was not them...it was me.

Definitely one of the best modern Italian restaurants in Tampa! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. My husband and I split a salad and small pizza, and it was plenty to fill us up and even take a few slices home. We'll be back for sure!

I will give it 4 stars only for taste. I ordered the mushroom square pizza and came out as focasia bread with mushroom and sauce on top. Very simple. The server said it is a chicago style pizza but I have been to Chicago and it wasn't like that. I went there to get Italian food, it is a italian restaurant, I expected Italian style pizza thin crust but it wasn't like that. The food didn't correspond with the name of the restaurant.

I never write negative reviews, and I LOVE all Gigante restaurants, but I paid $50 for two boxes of lettuce and the impossible meatballs (which were phenomenal) plus a tip. Disappointed with the value and definitely wouldn’t recommend ordering the salads.

This review is edited, in the past the pizza wasn’t very good but I had it again recently and it was delicious. Maybe I had it on an “off” day, or maybe they got new kitchen management. Parvez was great. I love the ambiance and the seating style q pop and the music albeit the music was a bit too loud. I had the gluten free pizza which was the Tonda Round with cheese and sausage. I must say it was absolutely delicious. They have indoor and outdoor seating and frankly on a nice summer night like tonight I should have sat outside but the bar was fine. And now I must talk about the dessert. I was not impressed by the lemon olive oil cake. I could taste the olive oil and the presentation was so-so. Ok overall 4 stars. Great date spot!

We went in the evening and it was very busy they said it would be a wait to sit outside so we went outside and sat on a sofa and had a drink there. The sangria was amazing that the bartender made. We finally had to ask if we could sit at a little table that was outside because they totally forgot about us. We ordered a pizza and it was all right but my friend didn't like it at all and he did voice his opinion about it. It had a cool vibe and a guy at a piano but I'd have to say that sometimes they do forget about you.

My family, a large party of 12 adults and 2 children, dined here at the last minute around 5:45-6 pm on a Friday evening after having a miserable experience at a restaurant just down the street. Service was excellent; all staff were friendly and efficient, especially our server who I believe was called Katie--and if not, I'm so sorry I don't remember your name. Drinks were fantastic; we had been craving margaritas based on our original dining plans, and Forbici made us some amazing ones! The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the apps--from beef carpaccio to Caesar salad and everything in between--and entrees--including pastas, pizzas, and mains--ordered. Thank you for saving our evening and actually making it better than we envisioned!

My Family and I recently had dinner here while visiting the area. Best Italian food we've had in ages! We were seated quickly and greeted promptly by our waiter at our outside table. My wife took our two sons and their two friends for the first time this week! Her experience was one to remember due to the environment, server and food! She and the kids sat outside, the music was not too loud nor too quite! Their server was Sara, she was above and beyond helpful and accommodating, she was fast and thorough, full of excellent recommendations! My wife let her pick the wine, appetizer and food- with a kind surprise of ice cream with sprinkles on top for all the little ones!! My wife was able to relax, enjoy the delicious meatballs and red wine on tap, and Sara kept everything running smoothly- along with the help of Evan and all other staff!! We did not have reservations and they said it was an hour and a half wait. It was our 37th anniversary and we unfortunately had not planned ahead. However, there were two hosts Vivian and Bree who were so accommodating and made a spot outside it was around 6 and the sun was right in our eyes but our waiter Alec made arrangements to move is to a sweet table for two in the shade. Great experience and Alec is the best. Such a kind young man! Go and ask for Alec!!

Went for my birthday Friday evening. The restaurant was extremely busy but had reservations and the sat quickly. The food was delicious and they made me feel special. What makes me sad is the pretentious South Tampa attitude of the other diners. There was a table of about 12 across from us - 6 or so adults and 6 or so children roughly 7 and under. The kids were out of control, running around, taking over empty tables, and screaming. The parents were absolutely oblivious and did not watch their kids. The host did speak with the parents about watching their children, the parents totally disregarded him. This made for an unpleasant dining experience not only for me but also many others sitting around these kids. I do not know where you responded, this is the only review I have given. Your restaurant and staff were wonderful - it is the atmosphere that left a sour experience.

It was my Birthday, the food was great, service wonderful down to the hostess who was so kind! However, the South Tampa atmosphere was too pretentious. There was a large table with 6+ adults and 6+ screaming kids. These parents let the kids take over an open table and run all over. Shame on the parents for not supervising their children. The host did say something to one parent who basically ignored him. If it wasnt for this table, we would have stayed for coffee and dessert but went elsewhere and finished our evening

The food is delicious and they have a good drink menu as well (wine and cocktails, I didn't look at beer selection). I love that they have small portions of pasta available. Most Italian restaurants give you six serving sizes. I ordered the small portion and had a little left over for lunch the next day. If you get pasta, I def suggest adding the whipped ricotta.

It's hit or miss and that's a problem because when I go out I expect everything to be good....afterall I am paying. The servers are young and informal but very nice. Aesthetically it was beautiful and the location in general is very nice. Apps- Bread basket- UN TOASTED BREAD....I cannot even start my rant. They should offer the option of toasted or not toasted. This place is good for happy hour (3-6pm) $3 slices of pizza - can’t beat. $5 beer - good deal. $8 cocktails - ok deal. Full price menu isn’t worth it… dinner entrees were mediocre…another highly Americanized “Italian” place. One other note - cool decorations and light fixtures. Trendy right now… but that’s because of the location.

The restaurant is really pretty and the music is great. I arrived early and enjoyed the atmosphere. By 7pm, the restaurant turned into a night club. The service was poor, having to ask for more water and check on the status of a charcuterie board after 25 minutes, and the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Inside and outside was extremely loud and you have to scream to speak with people at your table.

I was so excited to come here because I love the whole Hyde Park Village area + the menu looked great. However, I was a little disappointed with our experience. I don't recommend this spot if you want a low-key place to catch-up with friends. We went on a Friday night, it was packed (super obvious that COVID precautions aren't a priority here), the music was super loud, and the food wasn't anything extraordinary (my personal opinion, there are more impressive spots in Tampa for pizza and pasta). Positives: Thankfully, making a reservation was super easy, but I don't recommend showing up without one if you plan to head over during an evening after 5:00. Our waiter was super nice, he did a great job. Definitely won't be returning during weekend hours, but maybe I need to give this place a second shot during a quieter weekday.

Great food, great waiter. Lost a star on the hostess staff being a bit standoffish when we first came in so it effected the vibe a bit. It was this past Sunday and I walked in about 5 minutes before 11am and asked if they were open. The hostess seemed annoyed that I came in before the posted time and wasn't very welcoming. We held our monthly team meeting at Forbici and it went very well. The catering manager was accommodating and curated a pleasant evening for us all. Our server, Andrea, was absolutely amazing, she had our food out fast, made sure our drinks didn't go empty and just provided great service overall. Cool place in a trendy part of town. Free parking nearby or you can valet. You should get a reservation, no matter what day of the week. The service was great, and the food was really good. Laid back menu with a good selection of cocktails, and all the food is scratch made. I had the cavatappi porcini and added grilled chicken - it was delicious. We had shared shishito peppers and the meatball appetizer to start. The restaurant is VERY loud however. They had a singer playing tunes in the corner, TVs with football playing above the bar, and the hard surfaces reflect and amplify all the noise. It was hard to hear even the people at my table. That was a huge drawback, and I probably won’t go back simply because of this.

The food was good quality, although the sauce they had in the cavatelli didn't really have any love put in it. The ricotta was outstanding. I loved it. The lemon sorbet was also beyond my taste buds. Superb. Honestly, it's not what I'm used to concerning Italian cuisine, but I'll give them credit for doing the best they can. I don't think I'll return, only because like I said, it's not what I'm used to, but these guys still deserve a good rating. If you're into modern atmosphere open-mic style music, and a modern twist on cuisine, I'll recommend this place.

Interior, exterior, staff, and location I'd rate a 5. Wings a 5. Cup and char pizza a 3. I think the menu said the wings were chili infused honey and I'd say they had an Asian flavor to them. Would order those again. I rated the pizza a 3 mostly for the crust. Something I didn't like about it but it's hard to describe what it was exactly. Almost the type of crust you'd expect at a school cafeteria or stadium.

The wait staff was good. My hot Italian sandwich was very tasty. I also had the kale salad (the Erica?). No taste to the dressing. My husband said the pizza was too chewy. A friend had the spinach Benedict. She enjoyed the taste but the bread the eggs were on was tough. She said her main goal was to keep the eggs and bread on her plate without them sliding off. This may end up being a god place if they improve a few things. Be prepared for a noisy atmosphere.

Service was excellent, prices are reasonable, and the food is a complete 10! I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana lunch special with their speciality fries and cleared my plate. The sandwich was tender and moist. I especially love how it came with extra marinara on the side to dip my fries, without me asking.

Take this as an isolated incident or as an opportunity for improvement, I’ll just start off by saying that the establishment itself is nice considering the area that it’s in. I’ve been in the service industry for many years so hospitality never goes unnoticed, the host that greeted us wasn’t the most welcoming. I take it that they were at the end of shift change, but still. We were greeted by 2 different servers which was confusing but still got everything we ordered. We decided on getting the calamari and margherita + cup & char both 12” and were sadly disappointed. It was just okay. With the all the marketing and other positive reviews, we were really anticipating something different but didn’t get that in return. Thank you for the massive 17oz ginger beer though, came in handy for the ride back home!

First of all, you are definitely paying their rent when you eat here. The menu gives a shot at having an "upper crust" flair but when you get your spaghetti or pizza, it's just that: spaghetti or pizza. In other words, it's high priced Italian food and nothing out of the ordinary. Service was good, music was too loud and I don't mind loud music, just don't want to yell over it. The atmosphere is nice and clean. Will not drive an hour to have regular Italian food again when I can get take out from a Pizza Hut that would remind me of Forbici's pizza. Their meatballs were good but once again, very over priced. I don't mind paying the price for a unique experience, this was not unique.

I first want to mention that our server Sophia was amazing! As was the hostess that sat us! She made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in. Sophia was just such a nice human being and so pleasant to be around. Her knowledge of the menu and her recommendations were great. She told us enough about the food without talking our ears off, overall just gave us such awesome hospitality. And the food was YUM!! The pizzas were light and delicious in every bite. I have been to this restaurant several times, and the food was great. Today I decided to treat my office staff to lunch, none of them had tried Forbici before, the welcome staff were very attentive, and seated us quickly, the waiter made several recommendations from the menu, 4 cheese pizza, along with some pasta selections, all items were delivered promptly, and the food was delicious, the waiter did a great job of keeping our drinks full, and providing service to our table. We will be back again for lunch !

The best calamari I've EVER had in my life (and I'm not even exaggerating)! The server recommended it and I am so glad she did. Wasn't overly fried and the spice was perfect. Will definitely be back just for that... for sure! Went mainly for the pizza (had the Cup & Char square) but it was OK. The server said the circle was going to be removed from the menu so I went w/ the favorite. Nothing to write home to mama about but that calamari really set the bar high on expectations. Oh and we shared the burrata which was also very unique and delicious. I will be back to try more options! Oh and a tip: get there early! Made a reservation for 5:45pm (on a Tuesday). It was slow at first which was nice and quite but began to really get crowded by 7:30pm.

The food was outstanding from beginning to desserts! First, we personally felt very safe seeing masks and the hostess stand equipped with all necessities. I couldn’t even go to ladies room before getting my temperature checked! Next, once seated our waiter was great, joking that he may have to repeat any muffled words behind his mask. Forbici has set the bar for Modern Italian Food in the Tampa Bay area! I wandered in with a few friends on a Friday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma. We ordered the "Poppy's Shrimp" and a Cup & Char Roman Pizza to share: The "Poppy's Shrimp" were little bombs of fresh seafood goodness. When our pizza arrived, our expectations continued to be exceeded. The crust was crisp, flavorful, and chewy. The toppings worked together beautifully. The marinara and cured pepperoni were packed with flavor, and the house-made mozzarella had a great consistency and very little oil. To top it off the food was out in a timely manor! By the end of the meal we were planning our next visit. The most comparable meal i have had in the Tampa Bay area to a traditional Italian Sunday dinner meal!

The eggplant lasagna was delish, and the Caesar salad good but chicken dry. Wait staff good but careful ordering wine. I ordered Super Tuscan, not realizing there were two and we got the most expensive. I did not think it was very good wine @ $15 a glass. A pinot noir was not much better. Nice dining outside with a lot of people watching in Hyde Park.

Have visited this wonderful place twice. The first time I had the Gulf Snapper. It was just superb. On second visit I had the Poppy's Shrimp appetizer and a glass of Prosecco. The shrimp were some of the best ever, and the Prosecco delicious. I found the wines to be very reasonably priced and of high quality. My wife joined me on this visit and we both ordered pizza. The place was packed and we thought it would take quite a while to receive our orders. Seems like only 10-15 minutes later they were on our table. Wish there were more than 5 Stars to give.

If these four stars are a balance between food and service (food + service = experience) then the food at Forbici is carrying all the weight. It's excellent. The service is either green behind the ears or terrible--only time will tell. We waited 30+ minutes past our reservation to be seated and about the same amount of time to receive the bottle of wine 🍷 after we ordered. The waitress, while lovely and courteous, served the wine like we were at The Olive Garden. While dessert was provided as a compensation for these inconveniences, it still ended up on the bill (quickly corrected after brought to the servers attention). Overall, Forbici is varsity in the kitchen, but JV front of house.

Had a great experience at Forbici last night. Diverse crowd, including families, and small & large groups. Nice atmosphere with live music. The service was personable and timely. The food was some of best Italian food in Tampa! Excellent apps, salads, entrees and pizza, and offer small portions, as well! Can’t forget the wine selections either!! A great addition to Hyde Park!

I have eaten everything on the menu except seafood (allergic). The food is phenomenal. There is NOT a disappointing dish. The ambiance is amazing. I have been to the restaurant with friends and family. The pizza and crust is to die for. The meatballs order both dishes to see if u can tell which is meat and which is vegan ( you can’t it’s that good). The corn dish has a mouth watering taste where you will keep wanting more. The pasta dish is unreal. These are all the dishes on the appetizers menu. The steak just falls apart as you cut it and the flavor with butter is an OMG MOMENT. The chicken is so moist and flavorful it’s UNBELIEVABLE. Needless to say, I love this place. I highly recommend!!!!

The art festival was awesome and busy just as I expected but my service was still phenomenal. Food was absolutely amazing. We had the wine pasta let me just say how delicious and two types of pizza that were just outstanding. The dessert was truly to die for. The cannolis has a mouthwatering cream on the inside. The lemon cake is just so fresh and fluffy. The tiramisu has zest of orange to it and just makes it unique and lovely. Top location in Hyde Park. Setting is average, food is good, prices average leaning to high, service most often awful and terribly slow. It seems the staff is under trained or not fit/prepared to work under pressure, that means with a full restaurant. The waiters seem to be assigned certain tables and not willing to serve anyone else. I've become a regular and today was not good at all. One hour and fifteen minutes for 2 pizzas. One of the managers came over and graciously wrote off the charges which speaks highly of management. They need better organization in the kitchen and better servers. It's a shame because I like the place. Had high hopes this would be different than the rest in Hyde Park. I'll probably give it another try and see.

We visited on Valentines Day and it was busy so they really tried to turn the tables and get us out fast!! We ordered soup and salad it came out, and within 2 minutes our entrees came. I told the runner that your kitchen was to fast, he shrugged his shoulders and placed our food down. At this point I unwrapped my silverware and found a piece of chewed up gum in it. I called the server over who said that he would get me a new napkin!!!!!! Keep in mind I had already used my fork to start eating my salad before I unrolled the napkin fully. UGH! The server was good and pleasant so no fault of his own, but no visit from the manager after finding chewed gum!?!?!?!?!?! Its a shame because I have heard good things about Forbici, but you know what they say about first impressions. Who knows, maybe I'll give them a second chance!!!

The food and ambiance was 5 star but service was more like 2 star even with reservations we ended up waiting 15 min which was not the issue but once we were seated and water served we had almost 30 min wait b4 our drink or food order was taken then we had to wait another 10 min b4 our drink order was brought but was wrong order. Wait another 10 min our appetizers was taken to 3 other tables before delivered to our table and ofcourse one of the appetizers was wrong order but that was replaced almost immediately with right order. Rest of the food was followed immediately. The food was excellent So if you hungry and expect fast service this may not be the place to go.

I had made reservations for friday night. When we got there apparently the table reserved for us was still occupied by the previous party and server "was not able to get them to leave" so we could sit. Had to end up sitting outside. It was a cold night, so we were only able to sit outside because of the heaters. Food was great, came out in reasonable time given that it was Friday night and place was packed. We had the antipasto appetizer which was very varied and the margherita square pizza, the tomato sauce tasted very natural, it was delicious. I had the paloma drink, very refreshing. The only think we did not like was the cannoli, it had cinammon sprinkled on the shell, tasted like I was eating cinnamon crunch cereal. The gelato was creamy and delicious. It was very loud inside so it kind of worked oht that we sat outside as it was more relaxed. Overall, it was a great experience and would definitely be back.

This New Italian eatery is a great combination of trendy and casual dinning experience. I ate a small pepperoni pizza that was amazing! Do yourself a favor and look them up on Instagram and take a look at that pizza. They crisp up the edges of the pepperoni to give it that distinct flavor and crunch. Really good stuff. Look forward to going back and trying more stuff next time.

It was pretty busy this evening so when we got seated we had to wait about 15 minutes for our server to show up and then another 15 minutes for the food. It didn't make us to leave a bad review for this place but our food was brought by manager who apologized for delay and miscommunication between the servers. At the end when we've asked for the receipt our server came back and said that everything is taken care of and we don't have to pay anything. So this made us feel that we have to leave a review and say "Thank you!" to the manager and the server. The manager is a professional and knows exactly how to make customer feel great if something went wrong. Great place, tasty food and professional service.

Jenna was patient and pleasant and was instrumental in the final takeaway... Servers may not realize that it goes beyond bringing the orders... He saved this place from a bad review. The salad was awesome and my kids pizza was even great so I came back. Now it’s a tradition. When my kid gets sleepy I take her for a walk in a stroller here. Forbici Modern Italian is the new hot spot in Hyde Park Village, Tampa. The food and atmosphere is on point! My favorite dish from here is the meatball appetizer that they also offer in an impossible-vegan option so everyone can give it a try. (I haven’t tried the impossible option, but I heard it is just as good as the meat ones!) This restaurant has a great ambiance for a date night, dinner with friends or just to grab a drink at the bar. I highly recommend everyone in the Tampa area to go check out Forbici and see what the buzz is all about!

Great spot downtown Tampa Old Hyde Park Village. Nice ambiance, live music on Saturday evening, a young guitarist who was great! Visited in November, COVID-19 Still a problem but no social distancing enforced, some wait staff had masks some half wore them. Guest were loose with the mask wearing as well. Staff and guests were very friendly. Bathroom was clean, but no tissue to dry hands, had air dryers but door opened inward so you have to touch handle to pull door open to exit bathroom. Fine in a normal world, just a little bothersome in COVID-19 times. The Salmon dish was great, with the grains in a butter lemon sauce. The chicken milanese was good, arugula was just kind of thrown on there, didn't make it desirable.

Impromptu date night at the bar could NOT have been more spectacular ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ We highly recommend the GNT drink 🍸 and flatbreads! The MEATBALLS..... Let me start by saying I was practically raised by my second family that is 100% Italian Marie, Luigi, Vencenzo...so sauce on Sundays was a weekly ritual. Meatballs are how I rate any Italian restaurant and they did not disappoint! The place was packed & we can see why. Check it out! A great addition to Hyde Park & Tampa.

Pleasantly surprised by the new Italian restaurant in Hyde Park - first I'll have to say that I love the location and that everything I ate tasted super fresh. The “impossible meatballs” (which are plant based V) and the Fregola Sarda (appetizer pearl shaped pasta with roasted corn and parm) are a must try in my opinion! Plus the fact you can order a half portion of pasta is awesome.. I mean what more could you want?

I had pasta...the first one on the list w/salmon...it was pretty good. Service was good....but I'm not that picky. They had a CoVID temp check at the door, but their spacing was not good almost makes the temp check a waste of time.

First time here we went there last sunday for lunch..we sit by the bar....food and drink were exellent i got a veggie bowl with shrimp very nice. My friends order pizza and appetizers ..the dough n the pizza was very light really good pizza you cab telm the quality of food is great everything fresh...saddly our service wasnt the best.. We had to change tables cause they were changing shift i think.... So we moved to the bar cause we wanted to keep drinking .....no body n the bar was taking our order ..they were way to bussy doing their switch and cleanning ..you would think they will have someone to take care of the costumers ..mind our bill was over $350...we order 3 bottles of rose plus other drinks. Thats Not including tip... And we wanted to Keep drinking and wanted to stay saddly since the staff took a little longer to take our order we were already done with the service.. So we moved to another restaurant n Hyde park... But food was exellent def. We want to go back for the food hope service improves...we woukd like this place to stay.

Forbici Modern Italian has a magnificent menu - the risotto with chicken was delicious and creamy and "mushroomy" just as you'd want it to be. The servers are helpful and attentive but not intrusive.
