This place is wonderful in all honesty. The experience was great from beginning to end. My husband and I went at around 2 and it was booming but we were still able to sit down and enjoy our lunch. My absolute favorite was the ‘chicken empanada’ it was so good I forgot to take a picture. The sandwiches we ate (Elena 1985 & Island boy) were packed with flavor and did not disappoint in any way. The coffee was made exactly how I like it (the Latin way), the juice was all natural, the flan was by far one of the most amazing flans I’ve had in Tampa and the service was constantly on point. I would definitely recommend this place.

Took a road trip and found this place thanks to reviews on social media. What a great place. Owners and staff were great and friendly. Food was amazing. Love me some horchata and theirs was so delicious. Flans, cheese and everything that touched my tongue was delicious. This place is a must! We’ll make the 2 hour drive to go back!

I think this place can be classified as a hidden gem. It’s not one of the bigger and fancier restaurants that you generally read about and it’s tucked away where you won’t just happen to walk by it. But it has great sandwiches and several flavors of flan (but even if flan isn’t your thing, come for the other food!) I got take out and my pics don’t do it justice.

The food was amazing. The Timba is a neat twist on the traditional guava y queso combo. The Cuban was perfect. The flan was really good and I hope to go back many more times and try all the different flavors. I just wish they had more seating!

I have lived in Tampa my entire life. Last week I had a debate with some old friends about the best Cuban in town. Flan Factory was my buddies favorite so I had to try it. He was 100% right. This Cuban was top notch and my new Tampa favorite. The slow roasted pork on this Cuban was the most flavorful I've ever had. The sweet potato fries were amazing. The 2 flans we tried were unreal. Mama Ester was so nice and delightful and helped us navigate the menu. This is a Tampa gem. Stop by you won't be disappointed.

This family owned & operated restaurant won't be a "best kept secret" for long. The food is delicious. The service is friendly. The menu offers variety. Breakfast served all day. Try their breakfast Cuban sandwich. Last but certainly not least try the flan which comes in a variety of flavors(menu Pic attached). Also try the Timba...oh my I could go on forever. Enjoy!

Hands down best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever tasted. Everything is scratch made, including the pickles. Also enjoyed Cuban fried rice, it was very flavorful. Definitely a spot you must try when visiting Tampa. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

WOW! Absolutely so much more is served here than just amazing flan! I cannot not believe how fresh the ingredients are, the food just melts in your mouth! The bread for all the sandwiches is soft but crispy and the star is anything with pork in it. Try the Timba with the fresh guava sauce and the Tostones! The fresh passion fruit juice is out of the world as well as the Horchata! This Cuban restaurant is as authentic as they come in the Tampa area! You will not be disappointed in the food or the extremely friendly, family oriented atmosphere! They have limited seating as well as an outdoor area, but normally there is never really an issue with waiting! Love this place so much and don't forget to bring flan home as it's only $5 a flavor!

We got the cheese blocks with the guava sauce and it was really good actually! Just be careful you don't eat them too much or you'll get full quick. I ordered a sandwich and it wasn't dry and it tasted good! Just wish it had some sort of sauce since the mojo in it was very light, I had to add hot sauce. The dulce de leche flan and the original were so amazing. Creaminess, taste, the sugar, it was a perfect 5/5 flan. The coffee is pretty good just make sure you add your sugar to your liking! Boyfriend say frita was amazing altho he had heartburn because of the chorizo. Good vibes, good food, would come again. Next time no cheese blocks, they are filling. The french toast blocks were good too! Def give it a try. Only reason I knocked down a star, was because the second time I went the chicken in the sandwich didn't taste as good the first time, it was overcooked and hard, it's a chicken thigh since it's more juicy but it was hard to bite in some places.

Seriously excellent Cuban spot. Start with a flan (I know but trust me) then enjoy any of their really well executed sandwiches or dishes along with a cafe con leche. Then get a couple more flans to go. For real. They’re that good. So good, I didn’t catch a photo.

Great Cuban Sandwich & Flan here! I’ve ate the Midnight Special (medianoche) & Guava Flan. Service is excellent. Everyone was friendly, open and happy to make sure the restaurant is efficient and cares for the customers. Will definitely come here again!

come here if you want to be treated like family!!! if I could give a higher score, I would. I originally saw this place on tiktok and wanted to try because of my flan obsession. My sister and I went… and let me just tell you, we were immediately treated like family. The staff explained the entire menu and we wanted to try everything they suggested. The entire staff are the kindest and most helpful people. We got our apps and entrees and wowowowowow we were blown away. The fried rice is to die for. I think i’ve nearly tried every sandwich (Mojo pork is my personal fav). And the flan!!! I got orange, original, pistachio, nutella, and cafe con leche. All were so so good but the orange really blew me away. In fact, I went back a week later and they had cycled new flavors so the orange wasn’t offered currently. I told Ester (I think that’s how you spell it) that the orange was my absolute favorite and asked when it was coming back. She told me that she would make it later this week and set some aside just for me!!! This place has earned a life long customer.

Came on my birthday and they treated me to my first ever Guava Flan! First of all, I don’t know how they did it, but it was incredible without seeing any obvious signs of Guava?!? Delectable and sweet, the perfect spot for a date or some dessert after a hefty meal. A must try spot in Tampa!

The Cuban-American owner Joseph and his mother are so cool. They talking to my sister and I for over an hour. Amazing service, quality and menu. Such great twists to classic items. The horchata iced coffee is also so yum. Pictures here is the fried cheese with guava dip, the Cuban fried rice and Cuban sandwich. Definitely the best flan I’ve ever had so creamy and flavorful.

The flan really was flantastic and they have more flavors than I could think of! Great spot for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Had the avocado toast + egg, guava flan, and Cuban coffee with milk. Delicious and filling for less than $20. A flan lover's dream, they have unique and seasonal flavors.

THE REAL DEAL! My first visit and it will definitely not be my last. I was disappointed that I couldn’t get the Cuban fried rice because it’s only offered on Fridays and Saturdays…but after tasting the Cuban sandwich, the chicken empanada, guava flan and passion fruit juice..it just gives me something else to look forward to on my next visit. Everything was so authentic and delicious. Service was great!

Such a delicious place and the owner was incredibly friendly and fun to talk with. We had the El Tempeño cuban sandwich, the combo Cuban fried rice, Dulce de Leche Flan, and Apple Cinnamon flan, and an Horchata Iced Coffee. It was all incredibly delicious! The portions on the main dishes are quite large so we had plenty to take home.

Found a GEM! They source their Cuban bread from La Segundo Bakery every morning! Located in the heart of Ybor City and a definite stop while visiting the Tampa Bay area. 100% legit (authentic) and absolutely delicious 😋 Their flans are a masterpiece. Their twist on some Cuban classics are mouth watering. And their staff Phenomenal!!!💙

Recommended by several people. Finally having the chance to stop in to try, very satisfied. Clean and friendly atmosphere and wall fan feels awesome on a humid day!....asked about starter chicken empanada..has onions(hate onions) lol...but was clearly explained and honest info that onions were premade cooked inside by super friendly host Esther! Purchased mango drink for $4...definitely tasty and worth the price! Pricing looks cheap and affordable! Avocado toast sounds yum! Not even sure what a flan is lol....other customers recommended rice, and staff employee E(short for excellent?) educated me on rice Expresso drink that looks tasty too. Overall: tasty, friendly, professional, and awesome experience! Can't wait to try the food here and flan next time! (I'm very sheltered)🤫 Good job guys, Esther and E! What a great introduction to Cuban food! First, the atmosphere is super inviting. The staff is courteous, informative and they make you feel like a part of their family. And the food! OMG so tasty! The Cuban is fire and you MUST try the Flan. I had the banana flavor and it was amazing. I'm kinda sad that I can't take this place (and the ppl) back to NC with me. 🥲

Tried the Delicious steak sandwich, Cuban sandwich pressed ,all good quality and flavor , the best artisanal dessert Flan was the STAR of the show !!! so far all delicious flavors we tasted.. all outstanding Guava ,pumpkin,coconut,Nutella, Olga's original ,hot cocoa ..flavors change weekly with over 200 Impressive flavors .A genuine friendly service experience with plenty of smiles ,feels like family !! Hey that was pretty good. I got the Tostones and the Chicken empenada. Both were great. The Tostones came with some great Aoli sauce. They were hot and crispy! The empenada was also crispy and the chicken had great flavor inside. Not a lot of room inside , but there are a couple extra tables outside. Nice vibe!

Flan like NO OTHER! Miami is SHAKING in fear 🤣 Flan is like eating a cheesecake (super smooth and beautiful consistency) There are so many things to say. #1 the SWEETEST staff I have ever encounter. Literally so humble , funny, take you by the hand and find the perfect food option for you. The owner is so dedicated and his mother (bless his mother literally an Angel ) was so sweet to my kiddos. 100/10 service . HUGE PORTIONS ! Me and my husband can pack it down and I couldn’t even finish 😂 The lechón sandwhich was a huge fan of my pickiest child. Clean bathrooms and eating area. Ample parking. Handicap/family friendly bathrooms. Just blown out of the park! They do NOT miss! We tried Timba, Empanadas, steak sandwich, Tampeno and lechon. I only hope they expand to Brandon area!

Flantastic!! It reminded me of the flan my Abuela makes, which is high praise. We tried the pistachio and orange amaretto flan and then ordered more flavors to go! Each one was unique and delicious. They don't only serve flan, the sandwiches we had were equally yummy, and their chorizo is something special! Flan Factory is a must-visit spot!

I took an hour drive through the busy i4 traffic (when you know you know) I could not wait to try the fried queso and guava sauce. We had the Cuban, Pan con bistec, biscuit and gravy, And frita sandwiches. Needless to say it was all well worth it. The ladies at the counters, the service was spectacular. They were very friendly. I had the Dulce de Leche and Salted Caramel Flans. I really can’t say anything negative. However, I think the napkins were inexpensive. Overall, it was worth the drive.

I ordered a couple of cuban sandwiches and a colada to go. The service was friendly, quick, and both the sandwiches and coffee were absolutely wonderful! I think the sandwich was generously packed and with a side item or two, you could absolutely share it with someone. There was no one in line ahead of me and I waited 10 minutes or less for my order.

A must go to hole in the wall!! The owners were super friendly. Food was great portions for a fair price. The flan variety is huge!! And they have kids options as well. The servers are super attentive and friendly. Food comes out quick and with a great presentation. I came in with my toddler and new baby and they made us feel at home. Great place to come and grab a coffee break or have a lunch!

My fiancée and I stopped by and we’d give this place 10 stars if we could! We often miss home (Miami) and this little gem is the perfect stop to ease the soul. The food is AMAZING. The service is exceptional. Definitely stop by, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! Please be patient if the line is a little long, it’s so worth the small wait. Must try the horchata iced coffee!

I passed by this place on my way from the aquarium last weekend, and the name caught my eye. I stopped by today with my family; BEST DECISION EVER. From the moment we walked in , to the second we left, we had an incredible experience. The staff was helpful and friendly, and instantly made us feel like family. They were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. They were so sweet to my 9 month old son; lately he’s been wary of strangers, but even HE felt comfortable in the great atmosphere they’ve created! We had appetizers and each tried a different dish; each one was DELICIOUS and made fresh. We ordered flan at the end and understood exactly how they got their name. The flan was one of the best any of us have ever had (and growing up in a Puerto Rican family, I’ve eaten A LOT of flan, so I feel like I have an idea of what I’m talking about). I can’t think of any negatives about this place; I walked out feeling like a member of the family! My only regret is that I didn’t have any more room to try more food!

Looking for a new place to get a quick dinner between brewery visits. My friend and I saw Cuban food and stopped looking & started driving. My media noche (not actually called that but I know better) was tasty. The list of flans was rather extensive and made for a more difficult choice. Until I saw the white chocolate raspberry. Oh, my lucky tastebuds! I could eat a quart of that every day. Parking, like every downtown everywhere, is not as plentiful as desired but we found a spot quick & close. Staff were very friendly and patient. I'd go back in heartbeat.

So I am a huge fan of the Monte Cristo sandwich so when I seen the Elena 1985 on the menu with a twist of the old classic, I thought why not. I was sceptical at first of the sandwich being deep fried in a cinnamon batter but surprisingly it went well with the sandwich. It was stuffed with turkey and cream cheese. The cream cheese was another hesitant for me as I wasn't too sure how the flavors would come together. Guys when I tell you, this sandwich is delicious. It even comes with a side of guava sauce. Now although I am not a big fan of guava, I did try the sauce and it was very tasty. All in all, a very delicious sandwich. I also had my heart set on the salted caramel flan but sadly they were out. I substituted it with the White Chocolate Raspberry flan. It didn't disappoint. Only thing was the portion size was extremely small for $5. Would I recommend Flan Factory - in a NY Minute!!

You will be so happy to eat here! Don’t order too much food so you save room for flan. There are dozens of delicious flavors. The sandwiches are authentic and the portions generous. We had too much food to enjoy the Cuban coffee, but each cup was made to order and the smell was incredible. If you like a taste of Cuba, make this place a favorite.

The food here was absolutely delicious! I got the Mojo Pork with an Horchata Iced Coffee and the new flavor blackberry brandy flan. The bread was nice and crispy, the pork was juicy and flavorful, the horchata iced coffee was a game changer, and the flan was so good I finished it in 20 seconds. If you’re thinking about trying this place, I would highly recommend it and make sure to eat there because having that sandwich fresh made it that much better!

Flantastic is the perfect "word" to describe how the Flan Factory serves up the many different flavors of flan from traditional to seasonal. Esther is the perfect face of the factory with her warm, friendly smile, her recommendations for other sites to see in the area and her anecdotal tales of Ybor City. Jose is a Master at his flans but don't let the opportunity to have breakfast there and enjoy the best hot horchata coffee ever pass you by. We took home 5 different flavors of flan and if we could've, we would've bought them all! Esther was kind enough to pack them on ice for our 4 hour ride home and they traveled well. We couldn't be more grateful to be able to share a bit of our experience with family at home. DO NOT visit Tampa and skip Flan Factory, you will regret it!!

Super rico 👌👌 I am not usually a fan of modern updates to the Cuban classics, but the Flan Factory nailed it. For instance, their Cuban sandwich uses pulled pork instead of the typical sliced roast pork and IT IS AWESOME. The service is super friendly and the flans are super good too. Would recommend for a quick, relaxed and friendly meal. Cute atmosphere as well.

Visiting from out of town, and Flan Factory was recommended to us. It was SO GOOD that we went 2 nights in a row, trying as many things as we could. The Timba with guava sauce is incredible, and I have no words to describe how delicious the flan is!! The staff was attentive and welcoming, and I can't wait to go back to try more of the menu.

Today was my first time visiting the Flan Factory ... it was great! I went with my parents for breakfast this morning and the food was delicious. Everyone working there is super friendly ... especially Jose (the owner), who is so warm and welcoming that you feel as if you are having a wonderful casual meal in a friend's home. My dad loves their guava flan, and made sure to get a slice to-go!

From the moment we walked in, I knew we were in for a treat. The seating area was buzzing with locals at lunch time, the staff greeted us with a smile and the owner was working the register himself. Growing up in a cuban restaurant myself, my expectations were sky high. Let me tell you though, Jose blew us away with the freshness and presentation of the food. Authentic food that amazes the pallet. If I could give Flan Factory 10 stars, I would. I’m excited to see this place grow and prosper as Tampa finds itself as the best new city to live in! Just came from NYC it was hard to find a place with comparable food however this place did it. I enjoyed every last bite!! The fried cheese was like biting into little clouds!! The sauces were delicious & the cuban had the best pickles on it! The flan was delicious also! Definitely enjoyed our visit, will go back soon!!

Nice small lunch spot with friendly workers. My coworkers and I each tried a different sandwhich and although the food generally tasted good, the meat was a bit too dry on all of them. The horchata was great, though, and so was the flan. Keep in mind flan orders are single serving (about 2 - 2.5" In diameter I believe).

First time visiting this restaurant and the food here is to die for! The Cuban Frita Burger, Tostones and Flan were all very good! The burger was well seasoned and full of flavor. The chips on the burger created a crunchy mix that made the burger that much more enjoyable. If you have a tendency to stare at a menu undecided on what to eat, this burger will not disappoint. The Tostones is a must try if you like plantains. Lastly, the coconut flan makes for an excellent dessert afterwards.

Came in for breakfast and had a couple of sandwiches. The staff was very friendly and homey. The coffee was actually very good and the Timba (fried cheese) was enjoyable! I had the Havana Frita, which is a basically a burger, however I would have preferred it come with lettuce and tomato, so do ask for it if you'd like to try it! My wife had the Elena, similar to a Monte Cristo, this one was actually a generous sandwich! Now, these sandwiches, they were okay and we didn't have any of the flan, so we might come back to try something different, just because the place and staff are actually nice.

I love the place. Very clean, but two major flaws. One, the empanadillas was nice outside but cold inside: two, the temperature of the entire breakfast ( my wife plate) was room temperature. Other than those two things, I would give them a try again. One minor thing, MANAGEMENT, if a costumer forgot to mention the fact they can’t eat butter, and they ask you if you could change it for one w/o butter, I would have say of course, more so when the person that sat next to us, his egg was under cook, and w/o him asking you guys change it. How on earth have I not reviewed this place yet? No exaggeration, we come here about every other week. Brunch with my girls, breakfast with hubby, etc. Flan Factory has it ALL! Don’t let the name fool you! They have a great menu with breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between. My favorite visit was when I brought my godmother here, she was visiting from Peru and expectations were high. We came for breakfast on a Wednesday and they weren’t busy which was a nice change of pace because we always come in on the weekends. We ordered and sat down, our food came in what seemed like an instant then my godmother remembered that she wanted a famous Tampa style cafe con leche (totally different from our Peruvian version) and they were super nice about adding it to our order and charging us for it on the way out. I got the El Classico and she got an omelette, both were nice and hot, well seasoned, and delicious. When we went to pay for the cafe con leche we also added some flan to go (for my grandma) and it was a hit! My grandma is very picky about flan and she said this was the best she’s had which is a huge compliment because she is 92 and she’s tried a LOT of flans. 😅 TL:DR This place is the TRUTH. Go before 11 on the weekends or they’ll be slammed. And GET THE TIMBA!

Silky smooth and indulgently thick! This places knows how to make flan from a variety of options from fun flavors such as Fruity Pebbles or Cinnamon Toast Crunch to more traditional such as Dulce de Leche or a modern twist of Arroz con Leche. If you like eggy, custardy desserts or something similar to cheesecake or creme brulee then you have to check this place out! They also have a full breakfast and lunch menu too so you can grab a meal here as well! I got the Dulce de Leche and Arroz con Leche Flan and both were incredibly creamy. The Dulce de Leche is pretty traditional and very sweet with the extra caramel. The Arroz con Leche was incredible with blended rice within the flan. Smooth with a subtle texture that made it stand out. Between these two, go for the Arroz con Leche!! You get both of best worlds--traditional yet modern all the one. I also got their Horchata Iced Coffee. Not crazy sweet, but that great horchata taste throughout backed up with a bold coffee taste. Really good and will get you buzzing! Overall, great place to get excellent flan and coffee! Will have to try their food another time!

Wow, I ordered a steak sandwich an award winning cuban sandwich the fried cheese with guava and a fried rice combo. Ngl the steak sandwich was the bomb and it was incredible and the cuban sandwich made me want to drive 3 hours back and get one again, the flan and the fried rice was a homerun for my tastebuds. So I have come here a few times and have had breakfast avocado toast on Cuban bread (it’s bomb 💣), the fried timba (white cheese cubes), and the pan con bistec (steak sandwich), all is tasty and fresh. Today I stopped by for dessert after lunch at another Seminole Heights restaurant and had this amazing Nutella flan that was just creamy and a dream. I am resting so I can go run this off later 😆.

A small place with a big Cuban food heart! I enjoyed their version of a burger, TWO patties, one ground beef, the other ground chorizo! A smoky aoli sauce with melted cheese was a treat and a half, topped with a delicious bun. My friend let me take a bite from her yummy Cuban sandwich. This place was delicious!! Crazy I haven't been before. It is small, but there are about 5 or 6 tables inside to eat and a few tables outside, as well. Their hibiscus juice was very tasty, not too sweet. And the steak sandwich was fenominal! Cuban bread literal melts in your mouth it’s so fresh. Plantain chips were crispy and delicious. Horchata iced coffee was so tasty and the Passion fruit juice was to DIE for. The prices are very fair considering the high quality ingredients used and that everything is homemade. Make sure to get a flan to go- my favorite was the strawberry milk and the Nutella! An instant favorite from the 1st visit! I love places that feature menus with very unique items "you can't get anywhere else." They have weekly rotating flan flavors and have constantly been adding new ones. I come once a week for that alone! They have the best horchata I've ever had and normally serve it as horchata coffee, but no coffee for me, it's too good! I can't comment as much on the Cuban food offerings, as I'm not well versed... But can say I have took the time to try their whole menu and have found their "midnight" as my favorite/usual order.

I ordered the Arroz Frito combination, just wonderful. My girlfriend ordered the mojo pork sandwich, it was delicious and massive. Don't forget to save room for the Flan; so many flavors. Had an El Tampeno sandwich and an original flan. The Tampeno is a Cuban sandwich I believe. They put twice the amount of roast pork as other places. That's my favorite meat on a Cuban so I liked it. Would rate that as top tier. That was my first time having flan. If you've never had it but you like cheesecake I think you'll like it since it's the same texture.

My partner and I came here this past week as we were visiting his parents in Florida for the Thanksgiving holiday. This was my first experience with authentic Cuban food and let me tell you, the Cuban sandwich was out of this world! This is a great, small business that everybody should be supporting. The guy and his mother running the restaurant were so pleasant to talk to. We ordered two different flans, one of them Cafe Con leche and the other one coconut and they were both the most amazing ones I've ever had! As a household with Latin family members, it's hard to please us but the food was fantastic. Fantastic! The sauces that went with the tostones and that guava sauce that goes with the cheese was delicious. But let's talk about the flan. THE FLAN. This was the creamiest, thickest, most flavorful flan we've ever had. We ordered the coconut and the white chocolate raspberry. And the amazing owner sent us home with a guava one to try. We could have picked from a massive list of other flavors and we will be in the future. That flan, we could go back for on a daily basis. The interior of the restaurant is so cute, colorful, bright, clean, and set up in a very logical manner with little cafe tables and a long serving bar and counter. And counter. There's a ton of options for drinks, and there were several menu items that looked amazing that we didn't get a chance to try. We would recommend this place to anybody!

The dining area is beautiful, inviting, and very comfortable. Flan Factory is the real deal. My mother and grandmother are Cuban, and I had yet to find a genuinely authentic Cuban flan in Tampa. The flan was firm yet creamy and full of flavor, the way it should be. We tried the Coconut and Dulce de Leche flavors, and they were delicious! The coffee was delicious too, and we also tried the Timba (fried cheese) with Guava sauce, which was absolutely fantastic! The people at Flan Factory are genuinely friendly, we had a wonderful time talking with everyone, and they made us feel genuinely welcome. We will come back soon to try their Cuban sandwich and other food they offer; I am sure they will be just as great as the things we have already tried!

Everything about this place is amazing. Great sandwich, El Tampeno. It was delicious, great selection of meats. The empanadas are stuffed to the brim, there is no air pocket allowed in the empanada. It's flavorful and full to the brim! It's so good. Now of course let's talk about flan. The Olga's original is superb. Then I had the mamey, holy holy holy.. it's so good. Guanabana, another solid flavor. Butterfinger and dulce de leche were brought home. These were just fantastic. The portions are great and they are not skimped on flavor. I have not been to a restaurant in awhile that impressed me like this. Kind staff, clean facility, and tasteful decorations. This place gets busy. Outdoor seating is great as well. I love Tampa Cuban food, and the Flan Factory. I haven't stopped talking about this place and I can't wait to go back. I will be having the Cuban hamburger made with chorizo and I will be leaving with more empanadas and flan.

My boyfriend & I stopped by on a Tuesday but they were closed. The owner noticed us looking in and asked if we wanted to buy flan he already had prepared since we made the drive there. He was extremely kind and im so glad he did that because the dulce de leche flan is to die for. I’m colombian and from Miami so I have had a lot of flan in my life and it is a top contender. Nice quaint cafe/small restaurant. Enjoyed a scrumptious and generous avocado toast (I wasn't eating meat that day). We both had the the flans (of course, you gotta get some flan for the namesake). The flan was good, a little dense, and delicate taste. Many flavors to choose from including vegan options(not sure how those taste, but may try it in the future). I had cannoli, my wife the coconut. Both were good, the coconut could have had pieces of coconut to add to the taste, but it was good. Good coffees, will return to try the sandwiches. They have breakfast and lunch options all day. Something different to taste a little bit of Cuban cuisine.

We LOVED this place! Everything from the service to the food was excellent. The three egg, cheese and chorizo sandwich was very tasty and satisfying. Their beef empanadas were so good. I had their rice pudding flan which was to- die-for. The flavor was spot on and the crunchy caramelized sugar on top was a delicious surprise. The owner is very hands on helping to serve the food and interact with customers. He spent some time speaking with my husband and I and he was just a really nice, down-to-earth kind of guy who puts everything he has into what he does. His staff is super friendly and attentive. OMG...I have been to Cuba, Miami and was born in NYC having consumed at least 200 Cuban Sandwiches in my lifetime. On bite was all it took to be in Cuban sandwich heaven....the flavors are out of this world. The freshness of the meat and crunchiness of the cuban bread were fantastic. You can taste the pork which was spiced to perfection! Ester the owner's mom greeted me with a smile and spoke english and spanish fluently. The Bustelo Coffee is strong so get ready for a caffeine boost. It was also delicious, I just added more milk to dilute it somewhat. I had the Flan for dessert and it too was out of this world. KUDOS!

The Flan Factory is a true hidden gem in Tampa! We were greeted by Ester and Nadhia, who were incredibly sweet. They took their time to explain their favorites on the menu as well as some of the top selling items. The El Tampeño (Cuban sandwich), Timba (fried cheese appetizer), and Plantain Chips we’re all delicious and served in generous portions. We also ordered the horchata coffee and three different flavors of flan but wanted to try so many more! The staff made us feel like family, the food was great, and the dessert was phenomenal! We only hope that someday they find a way to ship flan to Indiana!

A future Tampa landmark if it's not already. Don't even bother coming to/living in Tampa if you're not checking out the Flan Factory; you're just wasting your time. Food and service are 5 stars and prices are fair for what you get in flavor, portions, presentation and service. Between Tampa and South Florida, I've tried many cuban sandwiches and flan and Flan Factory has the best. You won't be disappointed.

I liked the Medianoche more than the Cuban, but they were both good. The flan comes in 50 different flavors. (JIC- Medianoche is a Cuban on sweet bread instead of Cuban bread. Softer but good.) So far, it's definitely hitting my, "I want something different," cravings. Next Saturday, I'll try their burger, which is a ground meat and chorizo mix. We also tried their mojo-jackfruit tacos. Pretty good to. Definitely different. And their horchata-iced coffee drink, which I absolutely loved. Mom not so much, but because the coffee really takes center stage. Finally, the fries are great too. Like checker fries but natural, thicker cut. Everything's made in-house. Great local business.

I ordered the timba appetizer and my friend ordered the Elena sandwich. We shared our food. I am recently recovering from surgery and have had a very low appetite and hardly a desire to eat anything. One bite of the Elena sandwich changed all that! The crispiness of the deep-fried Brioche bread contrasting with the creaminess of the cream cheese, hitting the tang of their guava dipping sauce is HEAVENLY. I wasn't even sure I could handle eating it but that didn't stop me! Lol. Can't wait to go back and try any number of other items on their menu. Maybe the biscuits and gravy with chorizo next time? Have been to this back now for the second time. It was amazing the first time and somehow, even better the second time. The first time I ordered a pan con bistec (steak sandwich), timbas (fried cheese cubes) with guava sauce and a beef empanada. Everything was delicious, fresh and delicious. This time around I wanted to test them and try something new. I ordered La Havana frita (burger that consists of a chuck patty and a chorizo patty). It was no luck at all that the first time was nothing short of amazing and fantastic. OH and of course, the flan....AMAZING!!!! Nothin here is too salty or too sweet. I like neither and this place is my favorite go to now because of the flavors that are incorporated into their dishes. The decor is perfect for a Cuban spot in ybor city. Cute spin on Cuban staples. I'll be honest, I'm usually super skeptical of hipster and/or modern American style takes of different cultural food, but Flan Factory did a good job. I'd honestly say their flan is some of the best I've ever had, just their prices are outrageous for it. $4 gets you a tiny cup of flan, smaller than what you'd even get a grocery store from the BS snack pack type brands. The flavor is all there, better than mpm used to make. The consistency is an A+. The presentation is sound. It's just the pricetag for it that drags it down so much. Aside from that, we had the mojo pork sandwich. It was pretty solid. Needed more mojo, but I can't fault them for it since most of their clientele probably don't like much mojo vs those of us who grew up with it. Price was teetering on the pricey side, but not as drastic as the flan was. Pork was right mix of lean and fatty. The final item we had was the Elena 1985. Pretty disappointed. The guava isnt actually in the pastry, it's a dipping sauce. We were explained it was injected inside. That's all well and good, but the sandwich was just a sweet, soggy mess. The turkey was hardly noticable, the cheess was overwhelming, and the bread was mush. No sugar on it (which is fine, but struck me as off since it was in the description) and the cinnamon was completely drowned out by the cheese and greasy bread. Recommend you steer absolutely clear of this sandwich. All in all, 3 stars. They're not terrible, just not worth the price and their dessert sandwich was atrocious. A+ flan, solid mojo pork sandwich, taste-wise.

We got the Timba as an appetizer, (that guava sauce should be bottled and sold) She got the El Tampeño sandwich, (which is their Cuban sandwich) and I got the Pan Con Bistec sandwich (best sandwiches we’ve ever had) and we finished it off with flan because, with a name like flan factory, how could you not? Lol I got the guava flan and mom got the Cap’n Crunch flan. My mom HATES flan and she ate the whole thing! I love flan so of course I also demolished mine lol the flavored flans are sweet, creamy, and subtle! Absolutely delicious. The owner and his employees are so kind and very helpful. Today was my first time experiencing Flan Factory's flavors and they exceeded my expectations tenfold! Not to say the bar was set low by any means, they just went above and beyond! Today I ordered via Uber eats the Timba, Avocado Toast and 2 Cortaditos (for good measure.) Everything was fresh, extremely flavorful and served in a healthy portion. They packed everything with care and even labeled the boxes with little hearts. If you ever find yourself in Tampa, Flan Factory is a MUST.
