This is a must if your craving Authentic home cooked Mediterranean and European food! It's fully family owned and still has recipes that are hand cooked by the Grandma! Get it while it's good! The experience was beyond what I was expecting even with the longer wait time. It's expected when your able to taste the love in each bite. We started with the stuffed mushrooms and the feta cheese makes it so delicious 😋. My Main course was the Romanian Mititei which is homemade sausages! So tender and juicy! If you want to be treated like a guest of honor and family at the same time this place knows how to make the ambiance and hospitality welcoming!

So glad that we came to this place for dinner. Perfect after touring around on a chilly rainy day. Decoration is very cute. All the dishes were great and were served very promptly after ordering. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends who are visiting the area.

For Friday night we were looking for a place to have dinner and we searched for a place around and came across Chanta European Cuisine. We were greeted by our server Matias with water and menu. After browsing through the menu we decided to order Garlic Bread, Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken and Chicken Paprikas. First we got our grilled bread. The bread was hot and grilled well. We loved the grilled bread. Then we got our caesar salad with grilled chicken. The salad was fresh and prepared well with all the ingredients. Then we got our Chicken Paprika. One of the best chicken dish we had. The taste was delicious and tasty. Loved the food, Definitely try Chicken Paprika at this restaurant.

Excellent service. Waitress overheard birthday and gave us free dessert. Okay food. Salmon and schnitzel overcooked. Cabbage rolls average. Hungarian goulash delicious and served in cool bowl. Appetizers were good. Nice wines but expensive. Cream of Mushroom and polenta just average. Desserts slightly above average.

What a sweet gem I found. Quaint and unique menu. We had the goulash and the weiner schnitzel. For desert we had the donuts, the raspberry sauce was out of this world. The service was great, I love how they are not hovering over you and you don't feel rushed. Truly authentic European spot.

Everything about this restaurant is 5 stars! The food, the staff, and the atmosphere are amazing! My family loves to order it as take-out and it’s just as good when dining it. The staff were all super nice and patient. The food is drool-worthy and makes you want more! The pizza, bread appetizer, salmon, beef soup and crepes are my top favs!

I went to Chanta for the first time this week and will definitely be back. I had the goulash as well as two desserts. The papanashi is so good that I had wished I ordered two. Highly recommend coming here.

We were visiting Tampa and stumbled upon this Jem, family owned and were the nicest people. Everything was absolutely amazing! The home made bread was next level, fresh made from scratch family recipes. An absolute must try if you're in the Tampa area.

There should be more than a five star rating for Chanta.We felt like we were stepping into a quaint European restaurant...Run by family.We were visiting Tampa from Buffalo New York and checked out Google reviews for nearby restaurants and Chanta came up. FIVE STARS Five stars.... no surprise here. We had the Hungarian goulash, calzone, Caesar...the dough was to die for!!! Service outstanding too!

Love love love the food and the charm. I ate outside and thought it was a wonderful. Kinda thought the prices coulda been higher. I had and what is shown is the stuffed mushrooms and Romanian Stew. If you don’t like this place then you should never leave Olive Garden again.

Authentic and delicious. We had the goulash and Romanian cabbage rolls and they were outstanding. We shared the fried zucchini and eggplant and the creamy mushrooms which were extremely flavorful. We ended up ordering the Romanian doughnuts to go because we were so full and they did not disappoint! Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff!

Don’t get me wrong, the food was great. Service on the other hand— was completely unacceptable. It took Matis 30 minutes to bring us drinks (wine) and it took an hour for our food, from the moment we ordered; so beware and be patient. Although the food was good, it was disappointing seeing how attentive our server was to the tables indoors and not us (seated outside) but we were told by the hostess they were ‘short staffed’. For a table for four, we also received bills with an AUTOMATIC GRATUITY? Seemed a bit inappropriate and odd especially since we were not given proper service. Regardless I definitely would go again, and would pray for a better experience..but I can not deny I enjoyed my cabbage rolls, Gulash, the home made bread and the Panashi!!

Went to Chanta for the first time last night and the food was excellent. The grilled eggplant spread (basically baba ghanoush) was the best I’ve had and came with hot grilled bread and feta. We ordered the schnitzel, Romanian stew, and lamb chops as entrees and all three were great. The lamb was very tender, cooked perfectly, and served with bacon wrapped asparagus. Quite the hidden gem.

Hidden gem, must try. Found this place last minute for my birthday but there's certainly nothing last minute about this restaurant. As you walk up to the front door, it seems as though your about to enter a friend's home, and once you cross the threshold it feels like home. Had the stuffed mushrooms, sorry devoured them before we could take a picture. However, if your a fan of the shroom, this is a definite MUST have. Went on to order the stuffed cabbage with polenta and so glad I did because it was absolutely wonderful. Also had the lambchops with asparagus and I must say, while I have shied away from the baa baa in the past, Chanta has changed my view altogether. I'm not shy anymore! Nummnum🤤🤤. Plans to visit again are a must and I certainly can't wait.

Quick google search landed us at this absolute GEM of a restaurant. I felt like we were transported to Europe the moment we entered the door. The ambiance, the friendly staff, even grandma came out to say hello at the end of the night! The food…just amazing! Best meal we’ve had in a long, long while. The ghoulash, the panasi, the Chicken dish…all incredible! As well as the eggplant spread. OH, and they bake the bread fresh in house when you order! And it shows. The whole restaurant is a gem and you will not be disappointed. Just go and thank us later 🤗

Delicious! It would have been nice to have bread with the stew. The price was a little much for what you get. Only got an appetizer and meal which came out to $45 before tip, and was still hungry. No food options for small children.

What a great find! The food was incredible and service from Ben was fantastic. He was a great help in placing our orders, very knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommend! We had the lamb, Romanian stew, pork chop and cabbage rolls. Everything was wonderful. Also ordered all the desserts to share. Not one thing disappointed. We will be back!

Excellent array of authentic dishes. We had the Hungarian goulash, chicken schnitzel, lamb chops, fettuccine with creamy mushrooms and chicken paprikash. We shared the goulash as an appetite among four of us. Small but perfect size. The lamb chops were melt in your mouth amazing with the perfect amount of seasonings and the mushroom rice was best I have ever had. I was initially bummed I didn't specify the schnitzel with mushrooms but it didn't even need it. Very flavorful and authentic. The wine was just OK and expensive for the quality. Also, I typically give 20+ percent gratuity but was surprised they added it to a bill for four people.

This restaurant is a must visit if you are in the Downtown Tampa area! Absolutely delicious food, excellent customer service, and very relaxing atmosphere. We will absolutely be back next time we are in Tampa! Half a mile from the Hyatt Place Hotel. If you enjoy artisan European dining you must visit!

I just so happened to stumble upon this restaurant and I’m so glad I did! This place is truly a hidden gem! The owners, their daughters, and entire staff were so kind and welcoming. The food was so fresh, flavorful, authentic, and beautifully presented. It is a family owned and operated restaurant and you can tell they take pride in the food they serve, in the cleanliness and ambience of the restaurant, and that they really care about their customers. We couldn’t have had a better experience! Also, I highly recommend the lamb chops!

Great restaurant close to Riverwalk. They have authentic Eastern European dishes. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. It is a small established with only a handful of tables. Every table was full by the time we left our 5pm Sunday dinner reservations. We enjoyed our apps, main courses and desserts. They have a descent wine menu. Give them a try.

My family really enjoyed our meal here. This is a family run business, from the wait staff to the kitchen. We found the food to be very good, and the service was attentive, but not attempting to rush you either. It is small inside, with a rustic decor. Our orders were stuffed mushrooms for appetizer, grilled salmon, Hungarian Ghoulosh, and Romanian Stew for main, and Romanian Delight (kind of a Deconstructed creme broule) for dessert. Our bill was reasonable for the quality and portion size. I highly recommend visiting here if you are in the mood for a hearty meal.

10/10. I wanted to eat downtown this weekend and while driving over found this place on Open Table.. luckily, there were time slots still available so we didn't need to make a reservation. We were seated promptly outside and our waitress was quick to take our order. This is a family owned and ran restaurant and the food is authentic and delicious. To start, we had the eggplant spread with fresh bread, bruschetta and toasted bread, as well as the greek salad. All very delicious. For the entrees, we had the goulash soup and the wiener schnizel w/fresh cut fries. Also amazing-- highly recommend the soup. And for dessert, we shared the nutella crepes. We definitely will be back.

I visited this place based off the stellar 4.9 star review and the proximity to where we were. I don't get it. Food was alright and service was just alright too. $25 for Hungarian Goulash that was about the equivalent of 2 cups of soup with maybe 2oz of beef? It was really was mediocre too... I wouldn't go back and don't recommend...way overpriced for some pretty bland and ordinary food.

From the moment you walk into Chanta, you're greated by the lovely staff. The menu is full of delicious food to choose from. I decided to go with the Romanian stew with traditional polenta and a fried egg. I was not disappointed! For dessert we chose the Papanashi, Romanian donuts with a raspberry and blueberry sauce and cream. Everything was truly delicious! I highly recommend this place.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Tampa FL. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in our mouths. The dessert called Papanasi, was amazing and tasted super good! Absolutely the best meals we had in a while. If you’re looking for delicious, home-cooked quality food made with love, Chanta is it. We ordered takeout meals of the Romanian stew (YUM) and Weiner Schnitzel with homemade doughnuts for dessert. Food was ready in 20 min, seamless pick up with proper COVID measures, masks and care, and at an incredibly reasonable price for a date night dinner. I loved how rich the stew was—definitely a must have dish. The schnitzel was crispy and tasted great with the stew sauce poured over top. If I never eat another doughnut I would be happy—these were so soft, pillowy and decadent. I would buy a jar of the jam on its own. Thank you Chanta family, we will most definitely be dining again!

I have been working downtown for a long time and feel there is not many places you can find like this place. The food was amazing. Ingredients were so fresh. So good. I would come back to Tampa just to eat here, and we drove from Indiana which is a 16 hour drive. Only complaint is there was no fruit on the menu except in smoothie form. They had no issue to bring us out mango slices when I asked though! Very kind to not charge us either. Can not recommend enough.

I'll give it 5 stars because it seems like a family run restaurant that welcomes their guests. The interior was like the dining room of a house. I had the Hungarian goulash soup that comes with bread. Dip the bread in the sauce and enjoy. The meat and potatoes were good. Some other things on the menu looked good so I'd try them next time. I'd come here again.

My husband and I initially were looking for pizza and our phones took us to this little gem where we discovered it was a family owned Romanian restaurant. We have never had Romanian food and it was a beautiful, quaint little restaurant with wonderful ornate furniture and such a homey atmosphere that we could not just simply order a pizza. We did order the focaccia bread and the Romanian stew. It was all heaven on a plate. Service was fantastic, everyone was friendly and we left full and happy. If we lived here it would be our new favorite place.

The food was some of the best I've had in Tampa! The Romanian beef stew was so flavorful and the salmon fettuccine Alfredo was honestly the best I've ever had. It is quite expensive but a nice treat for date night.

This quaint restaurant is filled with Old World charm and fabulous food. Our waitress made us feel like part of the family sitting down for a home cooked feast. The menu is filled with so many authentic European dishes to choose from, which makes the effort to choose just one extremely difficult. Luckily for me our waitress presented a special with lamb chops, bacon wrapped asparagus, and rice with wild mushrooms. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. If I lived in the Tampa area, i would definitely become a regular. As it is, I cannot wait to visit Tampa again to get the chance to experience this place again.

Ahhhh- mazing. The moment you come in, it smells like grandma’s cooking. While google searching restaurants, I saw they make cabbage rolls. And they do not disappoint-served with a side of creamy polenta and a dollop of sour cream—comfort food at its finest😌. Hubby got the specialty of the evening; lamb chops with bacon roasted asparagus, and flavorful rice, and it came with a refreshing cabbage salad. So glad we didn’t go to a typical suggested restaurant. The value was unbelievable and we sighed with delight after every bite! We will be back!

If you are looking a for a romantic spot for a special date, look no further. A. The food is exquisite B. The folks that own the place are extremely friendly C. Their stuffed mushrooms on the appetizer menu are the best I’ve ever had D. The atmosphere is low key, relaxing, not loud and super cozy. Overall I felt like a guest at their house rather than a customer. The family moved here to Tampa from Romania. Our server shared his culture with us and talked about places to see in Romania. I will return in the future. I’d give 10 stars if I could.

Family-owned, exceptional food, great service, old world charm. If you can't get to Europe during the pandemic this is a suitable fill-in. The family cares about what they are serving. This is a fabulous restaurant with a very welcoming staff. The ambiance makes you feel like you are being invited into their home. We enjoyed the grilled eggplant spread as an appetizer with very fresh tomatoes, feta cheese and homemade bread. We ordered the Wiener Schnitzel with creamy mushrooms and the Hungarian goulash. What a wonderful presentation! The delicious entrees and excellent service will bring us back again and again!

My cousin and I were in Tampa Fl and were told this restaurant had good food. The place was really nice. A family owned restaurant with everyone smiling and so warm and welcoming. The young lady was so kind and accommodating when I asked if she could put us further away from the crowd.The food was amazing and we both loved what we ate. Fresh baked bread was so good. Truly enjoyed and would definetly go back.If you are in Tampa you really need to try this place.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. Incredible meal with large portions for a good value. We started with the stuffed mushrooms and they were so delicious. We both had salmon with mushroom dishes and they were cooked perfectly. I had the dish with pasta and it was very good. We were so full we didn’t try dessert but would love to next time! We will definitely return to this restaurant the next time we are in Tampa!

You wont find a meal with more quality, at a fair price, and gracious portions, anywhere else. Trust me, I’ve searched. If you do decide to drop in, then welcome to an authentic taste of Eastern European cuisine. My palette and I were very satisfied with the experience flavors, and presentation, altogether. Chanta is an amazing restaurant! They have a great selection of Eastern European dishes, all made from scratch. Everything was delicious and the service was very good, our server was really friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the goulash and it was incredible. This place is a hidden gem! Their eggplant dip was fantastic, and (somewhat surprisingly) tasted not only better but also more authentic than some of the other local options for it. The menu seems to cover a pretty wide range of flavors/cuisines overall too. Service was also top-notch and the inside very cozy and welcoming. Great little family run business!

This family run restaurant is like a breath of fresh air. Excellent food and service, with some traditional dishes you won't elsewhere. A small but perfectly selected wine list, fresh baked bread and indoor and outdoor dining. We've been a couple of times already, and quality has been consistently high and service friendly and professional. We'll be back for sure.

The food is authentic, priced accordingly and the restaurant set up like you are in a European home. We went with some friends and everyone ordered something different so we could try as much as possible. Simply wonderful. The Hungarian Goulash was by far the best!!

You should go to Oxford Exchange instead and leave this place for me. My friend and I were here Saturday and I have not been so impressed by a restaurant in quite some time. We were able to get a table outside, though the atmosphere indoors is charming, and relax with some delicious, fresh appetizers and wine. I don't often drink wine, but I had a delicious red, 2 glasses even. The staff was pleasant and accommodating without hovering but without neglecting. The restroom was clean and private. My only suggestion would be to add more plants as a way to separate the street from the outdoor tables. I look forward to trying other items on the menu! I'll be sure to make a reservation next time so I don't show up to a packed house!

Wonderful food, great atmosphere and incredible service. Really amazing new authentic European cuisine restaurant recently opened in Tampa, near the University of Tampa. This is a classic European family restaurant and the Romanian owner chefs have designed a wonderful menu of delicious and authentic European food at incredibly low prices. On our first visit we tried all the breads, (the cheese bread “wow”), the eggplant appetizer, homemade sausages (that were the best I’ve had), traditional goulash, salmon with a creamed mushroom side and Romanian stew. We finished with a warm apple cake. Everything was incredible. The service was attentive and very pleasant and I was impressed with the classic European decor both inside and out. They offer a limited wine and beer service but don’t have a liquor license yet. We rolled out of this wonderful restaurant very happy we found it and will return often. As you can see in this photo this is truly a family restaurant where you taste and feel the love. I wholeheartedly recommend this amazing new restaurant to anyone in the Tampa area.

Amazingly kind service and excellent homemade food. Our table enjoyed everything from the bruschetta appetizer to the papanashi dessert. The entrée highlight was absolutely the chicken paprikash. Even with a large party celebrating a 30th birthday behind us, our food came out timely and service had no delays. If you’re in the Tampa area, Chanta should be on your list.

We dropped in on a Sunday night for early dinner with our two girls. Our friends had eaten here a few weeks ago and raved about it. We were not disappointed! The Romanian family that runs it has brought a wonderful slice of Europe right next to Oxford Exchange. The in-house made bread is a delicious accompaniment to the chicken soup and goulash entrees as well as a wonderful appetizer on its own. Hard to go wrong with anything on the menu but we really enjoyed the three cheese bread, stuffed mushrooms, chicken schnitzel and authentic goulash.

First and foremost for my friend and me: small, family-owned restaurant. There were, if I am guessing correctly, three generations of this kind and welcoming family making food, taking care of customers and making the guests feel special. Right behind the statement above comes, of course, the food. The food! We started with an eggplant spread with delicious feta cheese, fresh bread and lightly seasoned tomatoes. The eggplant spread was the perfect size for an appetizer (not too much bread!). I had the lamb chops and my friend had the Paprikash. The lamb was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and came accompanied with horseradish sauce and fresh vegetables and a slaw I've never seen before, but loved. Paprikash is a Romanian stew with a cream-based sauce, lots of tender chicken and a delicious polenta as a side. The decor, the cleanliness everywhere (think spotless bathrooms too), indoor and outdoor seating on a nice side street; easy parking and the proximity to Hyde Park and Downtown all added up to a great experience. I also had a delicious glass of Montepulciano at a price that made me smile. This is a five-star experience in every way. We will be back!

My husband and I loved the kind staff and delicious food served at this small European restaurant! We sat outside with tablecloths, potted flowers and cool lime water served upon our arrival. The portions were heaping, the temperature of the food was piping hot and having lived in Europe, we know the flavors of the cabbage rolls and oven roasted juicy ribs were authentic. This European restaurant is so unique and family owned. Besides the food being top notch, the service was impeccable. We ordered the chicken soup as an appetizer and it came out so flavorful and piping hot. For our entrees we ordered the Hungarian goulash and pepperoni calzone, both were out of this world. This place exceeded our expectations. We have had such a tough time finding delicious restaurants in Tampa, but this was well worth the wait. I just randomly ordered delivery because I had never heard of them and they had an eclectic menu Hungarian Goulash, Schnitzel, Pizza, desserts I had to Google 😁 I am a little more forgiving of delivery because it's only fair to account for the trip, but everything was incredibly good for even dine in standards. The ribs were just fire. Like crazy good. Like best I have ever had contenders. Schnitzel was better than I have had in a long time. Pizza was decent, the sauce was a little different and I can't pinpoint how exactly, but it was still good. Hungarian doughnuts 😯 so freaking good. Kind of churro-like. Just pure sweet comfort. I was really pleasantly surprised and can't wait to take the family to actually dine in. Their delivery quality is better than a lot of places dine in quality. Can't wait to actually eat on premise.

We found Chanta through a Google search and are happy to say the place lived up to its Google Reviews! Luckily for us, we looked at the menu prior and saw this Lamb Dish, that is supposed to be the ‘best lamb of your life!’ ...IT WAS. You have to call the night before your reservations to order this, and wow are we happy we did. The place is very cozy, you immediately feel like your in somebody’s dining room and we loved that it was family owned. The only thing that wasn’t out of this world is the coffee, but I could totally look passed that for how amazing everything else was. We will definitely be back!!!!!

The hostess was very accommodating, and the menu is simply a list of great food from Grandma's kitchen. I had the Hungarian goulash and my husband had the wienerschnitzel. Both absolutely fantastic. My first dinner at Chanta was lovely. The food and service were top notch. I asked our waitress half joking if there was a grandma hiding in the kitchen and to my surprise, there was was! The Chanta family, grandma, grandpa, mom, dad and daughter moved here from Romania in December and opened this quaint and delicious restaurant three months ago. The goulash soup and Romanian stew had layers and layers of flavor with top quality ingredients. The dessert was papanasi; doughnuts with perfectly balanced layers of homemade sour cream and jam. Different from anything I tasted before. The mom and grandma came out of the kitchen to check that we liked it and they were so happy we did; their faces were priceless. I can’t wait to go back. A wonderful dinner. The staff was great and the food was amazing! We started off with the eggplant salad. It was absolutely delicious, especially the bread that was served with it. Then we ordered a vegetable pizza and the Romanian stew. We’d never had Romanian stew before but would order it again it was so good. We planned to order the doughnuts but before we could the staff brought out a complimentary batch for each of us. They were to die for - so light yet crispy on the outside and the flavor with the homemade jam was delicious. The portions were all very generous and we took home leftovers to enjoy later, except for the doughnuts. They were so good we couldn’t resist eating them all. It felt good supporting a family owned business and only wish they had a location in Denver. We’ll be back the next time we are Tampa.

One of a kind, delicious cuisine in Tampa!!!! This was the first time in a long time I could say I had a full five-course meal and enjoyed every single dish. My wife and I drove all the way from Sarasota to try this new restaurant and we will most definitely be returning and strongly recommending to friends as well. The eggplant spread we ordered as an appetizer was accompanied by freshly baked bread. Absolutely mouthwatering!!!! The eggplant had a deliciously bold and smokey flavor that I only previously experienced when dining in Romania! The beef stew was equally flavorful and satisfying. For the main course, I ordered the grilled chicken breast with yellow rice which was cooked to perfection and complemented by a feta cheese salad...for me this was just the right balance to quench my appetite without feeling guilty of overindulging. It also left plenty of room to enjoy the highlight of the evening, which was a traditional Romanian pastry called "Papanasi," Romanian Cheese Doughnuts with home-made blueberry jam!!!! This pastry was so good that it deserves to featured all by itself in a slow-motion video that I plan to do next time when I dine at Chanta! In conclusion, Chanta left me enchanted!!!!

We ordered family style roast lamb dinner for 6 for take-out. It was packaged well and securely. We were given instructions for keeping it warm and serving it. Chanta’s food is just like we remember it when we traveled to Romania. They also have incredible specials that are not on the menu. The wine list is also pretty good! Highly recommended!

The restaurant itself has a cute, cozy atmosphere. The food is cooked from scratch as ordered so be prepared to wait a long while. Dessert took close to an hour to come out so my advice order dessert at the time you order your meals. The drink selection was very small. Just wine & beer. Was disappointed bringing my mom and grandma for Mother’s Day brunch and they were hoping for mimosas or some kind of cocktail. The staff was friendly, sweet girls but not as attentive. When asked what beer they did have she said “it’s on the menu” so that leads me to believe she wasn’t knowledgeable about what was available. When I saw the ONE drink menu provided to a table of 5 there was only 4/5 kinds of beer so again that confirms she wasn’t knowledgeable about what’s available and quite possibly new to serving so I’m sure she’s still learning. They never came to check to tell us how long dessert was going to be we were sitting there for such a long time it’s nice to be acknowledged and checked on or asked if we needed a refill. *also only refills on water. The biggest thing was they did not provide an actual physical receipt. They email it to you after you pay. It wasn’t until we were driving home that we were able to check and see that we were over charged. The food was good but the wait time and the limited drink menu doesn’t really make me want to return. It was also a bit hot inside.They’ve only been open for 6 months, seems to be family owned so I’m sure things will get better as they go. Wish them the best!

Super tasty! We went there for lunch but ended up ordering from the brunch menu. My husband got "Scrumptious boat " which was a filling "breakfast pizza" complete with cheese, mushrooms, eggs and bacon and I got "Cyprus’s best" - delicious homemade bread, slathered with cream avocado, cream cheese, and an egg on top. This place is absolutely and wonderfully A M A Z I N G !!!!!! I cannot describe it any other way. Hubby and I went last Saturday and had an assortment of things. We had the garlic bread, Hungarian Goulash, Chicken Paprikash, wine, beer, and Romanian Doughnuts. Never have I ever had European food that tasted so incredible and phenomenal. We're definitely hooked and came back today for pizza and will most likely be coming back next week. If there was a rating higher than 5 stars, I'd give it in a heartbeat. Definitely recommend this place to everyone. Make sure to leave room for those incredible doughnuts!!

We live in Ohio but we have a condo at St Pete Beach. Drove over to Tampa to check out the Super Bowl activities. The places we usually go to were closed however we fell upon Chanta around the corner from the Oxford Exchange. What a great find! I only write a review if I feel it’s a five star, this place is beyond five stars. I had the Greek salad, the special for the day was a stuffed pepper and my hubby had chicken paprikash. We make chicken paprikash as we are Slovak and German, out of this world! It felt like we were eating at my grandmothers house. This is a quaint little place with owners doing everything. We were stuffed when we left, prices are very reasonable, service was great, and we live supporting the locals as there are so many places to eat here. We will definitely be going over to Tampa again in the near future! Also, we have a binder we keep track of the best places we live to eat down here, the menu for Chanta is going in the front page!

Chanta opened within the last year and started doing deliveries only. They are now fully opened and still delivering. Chanta is UNBELIEVABLE! If you haven’t tried this place yet, we highly recommend you get down here and try them out. It’s not going to take long for this place to start getting sold out because the food is so delicious. It’s intimate, unique and family owned. The family is from Romania and Germany and it is obvious they know the true meaning of preparing food with flavor and love. We ate a ton of food during our visit. Here’s all the things we tried today: Bruschetta, Stuffed Mushrooms, Weiner Schnitzel with Yellow Rice, Weiner Schnitzel with Creamy Mushrooms, Apple Cake, and Papanashi. Every single thing we ate was delicious! When the lady asked me if there was anything else they could get me, I replied, “How about another stomach.” My husband and I cannot wait to return and would like to go for dinner the next time.

I've been in Eastern European restaurants on the North East Costa and West Coast but this far away the best. The restaurant is owned by a family from Romania and they really know what they do .Gotta try the Mici and the Papanasi dessert. Definitely will come back anytime!

Happened upon this place while searching for a restaurant in the area before heading back to Orlando and so glad I chose! The setting is traditional but sleek and you feel at home right away. We chose the Spaghetti Bolognese and Weiner Schnitzel with fries and salad. The salad was fresh with thinly sliced cucumbers, tomatoes and leafy greens. I’m normally not a salad person but the dressing complemented the salad beautifully. The spaghetti was perfectly al dente and sauce was full of flavor. The schnitzel and fries were also just perfect with the potatoes freshly cut and seasoned just right. As we were leaving we learned that the family just moved here a few months ago and Grandma came out to greet us, that’s right Grandma! If you are looking for a family owned restaurant with great food and true family atmosphere this is the place. Look forward to returning!

Yup, definitely authentic European cuisine! From goulash soup, to chicken paprika, unique wines, non-traditional appetizers, and extremely tender lamb. Very nice vibe and ambiance. Great for a dinner date or corporate outing.
