1st time in and it was so delicious! Gives you that authentic homemade Cuban food comfort feeling. 🤤🥰 I had the Cafe con Leche and an Egg,Chorizo and Cheese on Cuban bread sandwich. The best! && prices are great. Definitely try it out if you love authentic Cuban food! As you can see I was digging into mine! The other half of Cuban bread from my sandwich is for dipping in my coffee!!! Staff was so sweet and helpful. Thank you! 🤩

I catered lunch for my employees today. The food was absolutely delicious! The Baked Chicken was so juicy and seasoned well. The Yellow Rice and Black Beans was very delicious. I will definitely cater from Cafe Perera’s again. I have also catered Breakfast and it was really good as well!

SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS 😊Delicious, fast, and friendly place! Great breakfast brought out piping hot, with super large portions. I loved the flavors a lot. Creamy, buttery, and super cheesy grits. Gigantic, and crispy pancakes. The sausage was so delicious. Definitely would come back for their wonderful breakfast. Prices are fantastic as well 😊😊😊

The cafe con leche is perfection, just the thing to wake you up. They have a variety of breakfast sandwiches, I usually go for the sausage, egg and cheese on Cuban toast. The staff is always smiling and very courteous. This is a family run business and you do get the homey vibe here. They're open super early and have lunch menu as well.

Food was alright, and prices were good. The cuban was nothing special, cheap ham, ok bread, and decent pork, but for the price it can't really be beat. The huge bummer was that none of the employees were wearing a mask, one of them was coughing while making the food. If i hadn't ordered ahead I would have walked away.

Busy spot for a quick lunch but they serve up fresh foods fast. I had the lunch bowl from the hot side customized how I wanted it. Delicious yellow rice and black beans with roasted pork with onions on top. A side of hot plantains for a treat. Food tasted great and was hot and fresh. Servers were friendly and fast.

I ate here for the first time for breakfast and was not disappointed! I had a bacon egg and cheese on cuban bread and it was absolutely delicious and very good sized. Price was great too! Highly recommended, ill definitely be going back!

My husband loved this place so much that he patronized it nine out of the 14 days that we were in town. I had the privilege of trying their fried bass fish sandwich. My husband loved their pork and rice dish. He also tried their oxtails and loved them as well. It’s a family-owned business managed by a warm, funny, and kind family. We wish them continued success!

I went to this little Cuban cafe nearly everyday when I worked downtown. This place has great cafe con leche at a great price, great breakfast sandwiches on Cuban bread, and delicious sweet treats such as the cinnamon and cheese bread. I miss coming here for a work coffee break. Everyone that works there is very friendly and makes you feel so welcomed. This place was always very busy at lunch time prior to COVID but the service was always pretty quick for how busy it was.

Classic Favorite!! I used to eat here, probably once a week, from 2005-2009 when I worked downtown Tampa. The food was always amazing, and you couldn't find a friendlier owner/manager. Well, I am back to working in downtown Tampa and HAD to revisit "Perera's." Everything was just as delicious as I had remembered, and everyone just as friendly! Thank you for my wonderful lunch this week :)

Great food at incredible prices. I loved the omelette on Cuban bread. I fed myself and 4 children for $25! There were plenty of other customers and they kept up with the traffic flow.

The staff working here are extremely friendly & helpful. When ordering I asked about details of papaya smoothie and they were very nice to dialog with. It is overall good food at fair price so I definitely will be a repeat customer here when staying in hotels downtown for broadway shows as my wife & I frequently do

My husband and I had to visit downtown Tampa today for a court hearing. We left the house super early to avoid traffic. This place was open before some of the bigger restaurants and let me just say that they are AWESOME! The service was friendly and fast. I love food that is served with a smile and that's what I got. Great food, great prices and with a very convenient location to the courthouse. I recommend this place to everyone! 👍👍👍

Just ate at Cafe Perera with my wife and the food and service was fast, awesome, and cheap. The menu was great with a lot of variety. Not a lot of places open before 7am in downtown Tampa but they open at 6:30am which worked perfect for us. Highly recommended anyone to try this place!!!

Polite and friendly staff, but yellow rice was bland, cuban sandwich was ok, cafe con leche is excellent, but the butter on the cuban bread was not. Cuban bread was the best part of my meal. When we asked for sweet tea we got an over sweetened instant tea mixture that tasted like syrup- had to be Brisk- Yuck! when folks ask for sweet tea they want the kind you brew, its tastes so much better when you put love into it. Just a little feed back to help make things better.

I had the breakfast bowl and cafe con leche - Breakfast bowl was WONDERFUL. under $4 and you get grits, cheesy scrambled eggs and a meat of your choice. For lunch I had a Carabiean Sandwhich which was also Really good. Staff is super nice and friendly- A real nice mom and pop place.

Holy moly! This place is great! An affordable, locally owned Cuban/Latin cafe - style eatery. The picadillo is delicious, and the café con leche is the best I've had. Fresh, home cooked food daily, along with the usual suspects.

Great veggie lentil soup and dinner type items. The devil crab is nothing like brocatos or Michelle's on the Go. However, I do appreciate the service and friendliness. The chicken baked is very delicious. Large portions and great for what it is. Prices are reasonable. If they cpuld improve the devil crab and papa relleno, i would give a 5. I love devil crab and this improvement would make me so happy.
