This is a great neighborhood restaurant, I really should come here more! Went on Friday and sat at the bar, the bartenders were great, they don't intrude on the conversation but if you give them the look or signal they are right there. The califower crust pizza was awesome 👌, crust was nice and firm which is hard to find. Tequila soda, with milagro tequila as the house was perfect, love the big rocks glass. Bocelli has a nice vibe to it, all sorts of ages, live music, sports on TV, upscale casual, everything from date night, retired couples, working couples, group of 30 somethings birthday party was all part of the night.

Simply outstanding. All of the food is spectacular. The chicken Benassi is one of the best things I’ve eaten in Tampa. The short rib on the short rib risotto was so tender and flavorful. Service is friendly and prompt (Katelyn was awesome!). Live music and good cocktails as well. Plenty of options including vegetarian. Will be back… a lot.

Actually a 3.5 ⭐️My first time here after following this place on Insta. The caprese was very good I liked the yellow tomato- the bigger round tomato’s had an interesting “creme fresh” type of topping. The cauliflower Fredo was mushy and disappointing- tasted boiled verses grilled(would have made all the difference) and the cacio e pepe was tasty- a different recipe but still good. The zeppole was more of a cake donut texture versus doughy with powdered sugar( more traditional). I’d come back.

New to the neighborhood and have been here twice. Dinner each night was great. Enjoyed pasta and pizza. Service was great. This evening our waitress was Marissa - she was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. She brought us our food quickly and checked on us frequently. Definitely will dine here often.

Sooo Sociale Italian Tapas + Pizza Bar is a fancy pizza spot. Live music & speciality drinks. The bartenders were very nice & made some tasty drinks. What was ordered: Fried Mozzarella, Bianca Fried Mozzarella = Not your average mozzarella sticks! Freshly made Bianca = Almost finished on my own

A great romantic place for a dinner date with a great atmosphere. It has a more modern Italian vibe to it while also having bar seating/TVs which happened to tie well together. We went at a not busy time which was great and felt better for our experience we wanted. As for the food quality, my boyfriend and I grabbed two different pasta dishes and they we're good but, nothing special or standing out from it. Regardless of everything, we would return.

Edwin was an incredible server! We were celebrating our anniversary and Edwin made everything Perfect!! He was so attentive and did an outstanding job. Our food was great as were our drinks and the tiramisu was the perfect dessert !! Sophia did an excellent job over the phone taking our reservation and helped us while we were there. We will definitely be back to dine again at Bocelli very soon! Stellar service by Edwin and Sophia and stellar food and cocktails!!

Fantastic food. You know that scene in Ratatouille where the harsh critic has a bite of food he reminisces about his entire childhood because it reminds him of his mothers cooking and he gives the restaurant a good review? That was me with the short rib risotto except my mom is vegetarian and could never cook meat so flavorful and tender. All the tension in my shoulders were gone with that first bite. Katelyn was also an incredible hostess and made the experience all that much better.

I'm from Europe but was raised here. And therefore I've become accustomed to the fast way of eating and leaving. So I got anxious when the food was taking a bit long to arrive. But inadvertently it allowed for a fantastic time conversing with my wife. After the food arrived, we realized that it was made from scratch just like a restaurant should do. And the taste was marvelous. We will most definitely be back.

So many great things to say! Most important was the outstanding service. Our server was Sophia and she was top notch. Very professional, gave excellent recommendations, and was quick to take our order and serve our food and drinks. Plus she had a smile on her face the entire time despite being busy with all of her duties. Second, the food and drinks were amazing. I am uploading a photo of the Watermelon Salad. This was one of the best and most unique dishes I have ever had. It was refreshingly satisfying. Tried it with both the goat cheese and gorgonzola. Both were tasty in their own ways. Third, I had the Fig apricot old fashioned and it was expertly crafted. Last, my entrée, the Chicken Marsala, was so good that I wanted to eat all of it despite being full after a few bites. It was a generous portion and a great value. Bocelli's has made it on my top 10 list of best restaurants in the Tampa Bay area. Can't wait to go back!

Menu is nice. Food tasted good. Portion size is one serving, not the "current" practice of giving 3 servings in one meal. Menu items are generally a la cart. Ceasars salad was good. Had to ask fir bread. Wine came after salads. Requested dessert to go, did great separating cake from ice cream but didn't include the carmal sauce. Parking can be tight. Wine Menu extensive. Had to ask about specials. Seated for early dinner without reservation which was nice.

Sunday night at Bocelli's was so much fun! Lots of people, wonderful Italian eats and great service. We really enjoyed the live music. Bob Klubek, pianist, singer and entertainer was great. We loved hearing some old Italian favorites along with selections from the American Songbook! Prices were good too!

Fresh pasta served many delicious ways - my favorite is the gnocchi in pesto sauce (very flavorful!) and my guy loves the fra diavolo (and they can make it gluten free!) We also enjoy the kale salad. They have a nice selection of wines as well as some yummy cocktails.

The only reason this place isn't getting 5 stars is because of the service. It wasn't a busy day when my husband and I went. We finished our appetizer and first round is drinks and waited quite awhile before our waiter came over to even take our orders for our actual meal. Now I'm not for overbearing waiters but I think we saw this person 3 times our entire meal. Good thing we got a bottle of wine instead of another round of single drinks next. As for the food, the food was fantastic. I can't say enough about the Carbonara! I really like that they have a small bowl option for the pastas so you can try a few! Ravioli was very delicious as well. The pizza was extremely good (this coming from a WNY gal so it's got a high standard to live up to). The crust has a great flavor and it's cooked very nicely. The only thing was the pizza was a little salty and I LOVE salt but I mentioned this to our waiter just so that he was just aware for other guests. He then proceeded to try and make up excuses as to why it's salty instead just simpling saying "thank you! I'm sorry about that. I'll let our chef know". I got a list of reasons, most which didn't make any sense, on the difference reasons it could taste that way. Mind you we got a white pizza that has olive oil, mozzarella, ricotta and some pancetta. Zero reason for it to be as salt as it was. Again overall the food here is amazing. Our service unfortunately put a little damper on it.

Amazing food and great portions. Service is good but not welcoming. The restaurant is layed out a bit odd, some communal hightop tables and others the normal private setup, however lovely decor. Parking is extremely lacking and the spaces are tight.

We had an amazing experience with this restaurant! Our waitress Ellie was the best. Her recommendations and her drink mixing were all great! We will definitely be back! We ordered the Stromboli which was PERFECT. It was huge, I can’t wait to enjoy the leftovers tomorrow. If you haven’t been check it out and ask for Ellie! Get the bottomless mimosas!

All around positive experience for a family of 4. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the handmade mac & cheese and cheese pizza. Too often the kid's menu mac & cheese is instant mac, but me and the wife wanted to eat it all after tasting. Our server, Marisa was very nice and accommodating to our requests. Pesto sauce for gnocchi isn't my favorite (that being a crab bisque cream sauce) but it was still tasty, and I finished it all. My wife had the eggplant parmesan (which she gets at every Italian restaurant) and gave it an 8 out of 10 on her personal rating system. Drinks are reasonably priced, and they give a great military discount. They also seated us on a Friday without reservations but were sat in what appeared to be a spill over room by ourselves. *We recommend a fresco or mural on the empty wall in that room to match the beautiful ceiling deco FYI. Definitely going back to try more of the menu, especially pizza.

MENU: A good variety on their menu, it worked well for our large group. We were told they are moving away from the "tapas," so they're no longer doing small plates 😔. The food itself was overall good. Salads and apps were probably our favorite. The entrees were okay (I had clam linguine and pizza). SERVICE: Nick provided good service, and great recommendations. He explained the menu well and brokendown the menu for us, which I appreciated. ATMOSPHERE: Overall great vibe. Smelt a little funny at first (like wet cardboard?).. but nothing unbearable lol. Wasn't too loud in there, we could hold conversations across the table. There was live music which the kids loved!

Great experience with my wife yesterday for her birthday! From the calamari salad to the lava chocolate cake, you won’t be disappointed. Excellent service and staff, great wine selection. Try the Di Funghi E Formaggio pizza truffle with béchamel sauce ; it is just awesome. This is a lovely place to go for any type of occasions. Wishing you long success Bocelli Team and we will see you soon again…!

Update The owner called me as soon as he saw the below review and said that he was shocked about our experience and was kind enough to offer us a meal to make up for it but more importantly he apologized and is taking the matter up with his employees. I appreciate an owner who pays attention to his business and therefore have changed my review and rating! ———— We went here on Sunday afternoon. I hadn’t eaten all day and was looking forward to a good meal, boy do I wish I went somewhere else!! Our waitresses took our order for drinks and appetizer. A few minutes later she came back to take our main course order. I had seen pictures of the Short Rib and Rissoto which is the reason we went there. The waitress said that it was not available. A bit upset about this the waitress said that instead of the ribs I could have it with filet mignon- I settled for this. A few minutes later the waitress came out and said that there will be a $10 up charge from $39 to $49 and that she had tried to haggle with the chef. I was baffled!! $10 extra for some rice!!!! Heck no! I told the waitress I was not Interested in that and proceeded to order the $29 tagalatelle. The meals came and were underwhelming had no taste! I honestly will never go back to this restaurant and I live right behind it.

I've been coming here for years, because there is no other place like it in south Tampa (SOG). Highly recommend asking for Nick, he's a great bartender and always provides great recommendations. Food is excellent, i recommend the salmon, but the pizzas are great too.

Katelyn is a phenomenal server. We went off of her suggestions and were not disappointed. The cacio e Pepe was superb and the carbonara was the best American carbonara I’ve had thus far and they actually use Guanciale. (they use peas which I didn’t eat). At the end of the day, her service and personality was what made the night. girlfriend was in the best mood afterwards so I would say 10/10.

We had our office party here and it was a fantastic event. We were a large party and they were every accommodating. The servers were very friendly and the food was all fantastic. We tried all sorts of different things, but I personally tried the traditional bruschetta, a little bit of the charcuterie board, some pepperoni pizza, and I had the filet as my meal with a La Zia to drink. Everything was above expectation and presentation was all very appealing to the eye. I would definitely come back for another dinner or an event. My filet was cooked perfectly and extremely tender. The pizza slice was great, we shared it as a little app cut into a bunch of pieces. I also really enjoyed the La Zia, it was a fun take on a margarita. I definitely look forward to another meal here!

A hidden gem in South Tampa! We go at least twice a week. The food is fantastic, and the staff go above and beyond to make us feel at home. My faves are the funghi pizza, garlic knots, kale salad, and shrimp piccante.

It feels like a cross between a pub and an Italian restaurant, very casual but definitely make a reservation. Inside was loud with the live music but dinner outside on the patio was perfect. Menu had lots of choices and the food was great. Very fast service! We literally had just finished the appetizer when the main course arrived. Next time we will order appetizers and main course separately to give us more time. They offer a military discount as well. We will definitely be going back.

This is one of those restaurants where you want to tip the cooks and not the waiter. Unfortunately the experience in the restaurant was not the best, the service was horrible. From the beginning it took a long time for the waiter to come to the table, the drinks came after the appetizers and the wine came after the meal. Dishes that had been ordered with some modifications were not served as requested. Food very good service very bad.

This is an amazing date night experience. The food was great came out at a timely matter. I would recommend getting a table in advance on open table since it was busy. But that just is a good indicator that the food is delicious. We will definitely be back for the beef tips & gorganzolla and the blackened grouper. Great atmosphere and service. I had pizza hear tonight, which is always delicious. I ordered ice tea and they have new soda fountain with the canned tea; which is horrible. I have eaten her several time always ordered an ice tea that was fresh brewed. When ask to have the tea taken back because it was terrible. The made me fresh brewed tea!!! What away to take care of a customer. Thank you for the great services and delicious glass of tea with my meal!!

We are so happy to have an excellent neighborhood restaurant. The pizza is great and all the amazing tapas too. The staff is friendly and if you just want an excuse to get out of the house, you can sit outside on a couch with a glass of wine or cocktail. The menu variety is good and because you can order small portions (they have larger ones too) you can try several items. Brussel sprouts are one of my favs. Highly recommend!.

Took my wife there for her birthday. Amazing service. We had a large party and our server was on top of everything. She made great suggestions from the menu. We ordered many different appetizers and main courses between our group. Everything was amazing. This establishment is a gem. I highly recommend to anyone in the St. Pete or Tampa area to dine there. I personally live in Winter Garden and would make the drive to eat there again. Best dining experience we have had in a long time. Hands down the best Italian cuisine I have had in florida!!! It could go toe to toe with the Italian restaurants in New York & New Jersey.

Our waitress was clueless and did not know the meaning of customer service. Our bartender put a salt instead of sugar on the rim on a lemon drop martini! Our food was good except for the burnt beef tips (the birthday girl) so we waited a half an hour for her next order to come out. I will go back because this may have been a bad night for the staff. Hopefully next time will be better.

Mike and the rest of the staff we're very accommodating. I brought my service dog and we were seated right away on a Friday night. The recommendations were spot on, so we ordered a few of them. Everything was exceptional. We had the short ribs, a margarita pizza and a spinach and sausage pasta dish. The tiramisu was light and fresh. Everything had the perfect combination of flavor. We ended up here purely because all of the main restaurants were booked full in the Tampa Bay Area. They are well equipped to seat large party’s or keep it small and intimate! Our server was as Marissa and she was fantastic! Had the perfect food/drink recommendations based on what we liked! The food spoke for itself! So good, from appetizers to the main course to desert! Dino the manager was so wonderful as well! All around a fantastic dinning experience! I can’t say how happy I am we ended up here!

I’ve been to the restaurant several times and felt it necessary to bring a few things to light. Food is consistently good however service and overall tidiness was an issue on last visit. More recent visit had food in multiple spots on tablecloth, not a huge deal but something easy to catch. We ordered apps and entrees at same time (and specifically asked server to space them out) and entrees came out about 1 minute after apps. Meatballs are good but barely room temp last two visits. And server appeared to have far too many tables to provide good service (I know this is an issue for restaurants now). Anyway, we love the location and menu, management just needs to focus on service and food timing,

We went to Bocelli tonight for our first time for Christmas Eve dinner. I found them via a general search for the Best Italian in Tampa. We took our 1 year old son and my mom, and while I booked outdoor seating they were super accommodating to seat us insider when everyone else in my party wanted indoor :) It was very much a neighborhood vibe rather than a stuffy place. The bread from the oven was F-R-E-S-H! Quite literally steaming and perfect. The olive oil just tastes like REAL olive oil. We got the Cavatelli vodka, a pizza and the cheese board. My god. EVERYTHING was good. We got wine and beer, I thought the wine pours were quite generous... A+ in my book. At one point I apologized to the server, Edwin, for our son making a mess and that we'd clean it up - everyone was SO kind about a kid being there...we still cleaned up a little haha. Edwin was very nice, very easy to talk to, we enjoyed the experience fully. Next time ,we just might not be bringing the baby to enjoy it a bit more. If you're looking for real, good italian, go to Bocelli.

This was our first time dining here at Bocelli. We were greeted right away and our server was knowledgeable and extremely nice. We ordered the meatballs for an appetizer. They are missing something. Seems as though they were quite bland. Maybe garlic? The tomato sauce was watery. We also ordered the cavatelli with sausage and pink sauce. Again, the sauce was very watery. The sausage was tasty, but I would not order it again. We also got the Pollo Banassi. Our server said it was her favorite. It was good, but not something that would bring me back. The garlic knots were the highlight of our meal. We are each Italian and Sicilian and have a higher expectation than most for Italian food. We will return to try the pizzas as they smelled delicious.

After reading several rave reviews, I was really excited to experience an early New Year's eve dinner (5:30) here. Perhaps that set me up for disappointment. Having worked in a 75 year old 5 star Italian restaurant in Philadelphia I had some expectations. The service was fantastic. Our server was attentive, polite, funny at times and knowledgeable. When asked, "does the restaurant make its own pasta?", He replied, "eh...", and that sooner should have told me what I needed to know. The charcuterie was nice, you can't really butcher that, save for a lack of imagination. The meatball appetizer was plentiful, but the pomodoro was bland. The meatballs were authentically made, which was great to see. The caprese was nicely presented. In fact, the presentations throughout the night were spot on. That was as far as compliments can go though. The 6 pasta dishes we ordered were bland. The pasta overcooked, and the flavors were close, so close, but just missed the mark. I had the cacio pepe, a dish that is difficult to mess up, but it was nearly flavorless. My 13 year old son ordered the Bolognese, another easy mark, but swapped it out for plain spaghetti off the kids menu because "it's probably less disappointing", only to be disappointed. Our guest tried the fradiavolo and was underwhelmed by the soft pasta sand overcooked calamari; noting it was "rubbery" but complimenting the Calabrian chili in the sauce. My wife regarded her tagliatelle as "chef boyardee" pasta that lacked the slightest bit of salt. When asked about dessert we settled on cannoli, which were actually very good. The espresso was ok, but when asked about cappuccino, we were informed that "they don't always clean the milk out" and opted to not risk food poisoning. I was sorely disappointed at what we received. I wouldn't say don't go, but I would say to set your expectations accordingly.

DINO - master menu chef and an owner is so passionate about food and the way he prepares it and has a love for people as well. His staff are all dedicated to the total experience for anyone that walks in to enjoy the bar or the seated tables experience with family, friends, and loved ones. I dined at this establishment for my first time last weekend. My partner and I arrived shortly after opening. The glasses on our table were dirty; some had lipstick stains on them. My 'frozen' margarita water down quickly and the bread was stale. However, our entrees were pretty good!
