Food is amazing. Pasta is made fresh daily is egg free!! The bolognese sauce with rigatoni is the best! Also, I’m so picky with Alfredo sauce but Bella’s truly has the best!! They also offer a great Cabernet called “Taken” which is rich & semi sweet! The tiramisu is top quality as is the chocolate lava cake!! Manager Eric is so kind and I just love this place! Definitely the best Italian I’ve had in Tampa!

This was a great referral. The waitstaff was quick and knowledgeable about everything. The food was fresh, creative and was even good for leftovers. Will definitely return as I saw many items I would still like to try especially the pizza.

So glad we tried this Italian restaurant! I am a huge fanatic of Italian restaurants that make their own pasta and sauces. We decided to try Bella’s Italian Cafe based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. We had dinner on a Wednesday night, no reservation needed and the restaurant was not busy either. The atmosphere was perfect for a date night, and the restaurant had dim lights which made it romantic. 🥰🥰 Their complimentary garlic bread and bruschetta are both incredible. The garlic bread was soft and the bruschetta was so tasty! We ordered: Shrimp Scampi, Pera Sachet (A MUST TRY!), and their seasonal dessert blueberry/peach crisp served with vanilla Häagen-Dazs Ice cream. Lastly, our server was incredible and the food came out quick too. Everything tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. We cannot wait to go back and dine again!

What a fantastic Italian place this is. The service was wonderful and fast. The food was terrific as well as the atmosphere. Had the calzone, chicken parm and chopped salad with warm bread and pasta. Go check it out. You won't be disappointed

Love love love the vegan section on the menu <3 ordered a very yummy vegan pizza, best I’ve had so far. Prices are fair, server (Rachel?? Not sure, sorry, she had brown hair) was very nice. We sat out on the terrace, last Friday night. Inside seemed nice as well, with booths and nice seats. The bar looked good as well. Some difficulty finding a parking spot, but figured that out. Kind of a busy road next to the terrace, but other than those 2 little things: recommend :)

My friend and I came here on the Wednesday between Christmas and New Year. We had to wait for parking and to get a table (about 40 minutes total), but it was definitely worth the wait. It helped that we were seated b right by the kitchen. I love watching chefs do their job, and my friends loved the view of the Christmas décor. Furthermore, our server Gigi gave us a great time with her charming attitude and strong recommendations. The complimentary bruschetta started our meals perfectly. I also needed a second glass of their Sauvignon Blanc as it was so crisp and packed with flavor. We shared an appetizer of carpaccio, which had great flavor when paired with the aioli bedded underneath. We each then ordered a salad - Bella’s Cafe salad for me, Caesar for my friend. Both were well-dressed and delicious. For our entrees, my friend ordered the Lasagne con Pollo and I ordered the Pera Sachet. Both dishes showcased Bella’s freshly-made pasta and sauces very nicely. The pear-and-cheese-filled pockets I had definitely opened my eyes to the possibilities of stuffed pasta. We were absolutely stuffed afterwards, but I wanted to try their Raspberry Crème Brûlée, so I ordered it to go. I ate it once I made it back home, and it was still crispy on top, creamy and tart on the bottom. I definitely recommend coming here, even if you must hunt for parking or wait an hour or so. Mangia!

My favorite is the pear sachet and their bread was very good. Great full bar and service was good. The location can’t be beat, walking distance to other interesting spots as well.

Family owned Italian spot with some great happy hour choices (including shrimp scampi app, pizza, cocktails & wine). Bartenders are great. Dinner is a little pricey for what it is, and it’s certainly a much older crowd than the bars and restaurants further up South Howard… But it’s a definite go to dinner spot in the neighborhood.

For the Saturday afternoon we were looking for a place to have afternoon food. We decided to have dinner at Bella's Italian Cafe. It is a popular Italian spot. We were 2 people and we had to wait for 30 minutes before we got seated. We were greeted by our server with water and menu. The server both bruschetta and bread along with butter. The bruschetta and bread were delicious and loved it. From the menu we decided to order Pollo Rosso, Amer Pizza and raspberry creme brulee. The service was good and we got our order in 15-20 minutes. The pizza and pasta were delicious and we loved both of them. Amazing and delicious food. After the food we got creme brulee. The desert was also delicious and we loved the food. Amazing and delicious food.

I'm definitely going to be a regular customer here. Waiter Joe was absolutely amazing!!! He was perfection. The food was good, but don't know if it topped the level of service we got from Joe. He was attentive, pleasant, very down to earth just perfect! He recommended food we listened and it worked! If you go there ASK FOR JOE he's tall and from Maine 😂😂.. Any who about the food. Whomever made my drink knew what they where doing. Everything we ate was really good. What I love most was the custard desert yummy!! The place was clean, they had plenty of seating we sat down right away even on a Friday night. I like that they have outside seating plenty of room.

I have eaten at this restaurant twice. I heard from numerous friends that live close to this restaurant that Bella's is one of the best Italian places in the area. I ordered the Nate's Veal which was incredible... Although a little pricey... you pay for what you get.

What an epic wedding celebration dinner out with friends. My man and I were first timers here at Bella's and it was a lovely experience with great service. We were a decently big party, with kids too, and we were well attended to. Everything was delicious. Cocktails were well made and the wine selection is great. We tapas style tried a bunch of apps between us all before ordering our individual meals. Probably just about every appetizer we tried, all delicious. The pera sachet was amazing and passed around also. Would return.

Started with an espresso martini and an Il Duce cocktail, and ordered the calamari as we sat down. All 3 came out quick, and were delicious. The sauce with the calamari was fantastic, also the blend of rings and tentacles were cooked perfectly. Not blasted in the fryer to resemble rubber bands like some places. Entrées were Nate's Veal and a create your own pasta of Campanelle, bruschetta, and meatballs. Nate's Veal was amazing, huge slab of thin fried veal dusted with Romano cheese, and topped with crispy prosciutto leaves it just salty enough to cut through the sweet creamy marsala sauce. Reccomend getting it with the pasta tossed in additional sauce. The Campanelle with bruschetta had a bright acidic flavor, and provided perfect bites with the chunks of tomato. Paired with the 3 meatballs that were so tender you could take your teeth out and have no problems cleaning your plate. Inside dining is a little loud and bustling, open kitchen, tables are pretty close together.

My girlfriend an I are celebrating our 1 year anniversary! We came here for an enjoyable dinner, and it was much better than we expected. The food was amazing and the waiter Cameron went above and beyond to make it extra special! If only everywhere you went had great food and exceptional service like this the world service industry be a better place! The 40 minute drive is worth it! The dessert was delicious and to die for!

Went there for dinner on a Friday night and had to wait an hour to be seated. Given that it was a Saturday night and they don't take reservations it makes sense. The staff was great and attentive. However, the quality of the food is why it gets 3 stars. I was curious to see if they had any steak options and they didn't have anything other than veal. I decided to order the veal which is priced at $39.99. For a restaurant nominated several times in best of the bay I expected something that at least has flavor. The marsala sauce was it's saving grace. The veal was overcooked and tasted very bland. I did not walk out of there not feeling impressed or satisfied.

Hands down, the best gnocchi I've ever had. Pillowy soft and delicious with with a flavorful sauce. The pasta was also amazing. The servers were friendly and attentive. We arrived after 9:30 on a Friday night and parking was not a problem. The only issue is that it is a bit noisy. But sitting side by side is an easy fix. Great for families, friends or even a date night. There is also a patio so the pups can come out as well. Highly recommended!

We sat at the bar for drinks. Usually, that is one of the best places in town to order a chocolate martini. That night, they were out of chocolate. The young man tried to substitute for us. It tasted ok, but looked unappealing. Our food and service is always good. I love the pretty, relaxed atmosphere.

I had dinner at Bella’s for the first time recently based on several of the positive comments in reviews. But I have to be honest, I thought the food quality was average at best and slightly overpriced. Maybe I caught them on a bad night, but I wasn’t impressed. My wife and I eat out every weekend, and I travel on business, so I have a lot of experience dining out weekly. I started with a Caesar salad that was swimming in too much dressing. My main was the veal marsala. It was tasty but not worth what they were charging for it. The roasted potatoes were pretty bland and over cooked. I probably will try them again in the future and try a different dish to see if the experience is any different from the first.

Family birthday dinner for me with my wife and grown up children, plus significant others. It was a great time, food was delicious and drinks aplenty. Such a warm and friendly atmosphere where everyone you come into contact with seems genuinely happy to see you. It was worth the drive over from Bradenton, although the rush hour traffic was as busy as it ever is. Full marks to Bella's chefs, staff and management.

Visited on my birthday, Dec16th. Can't remember my waiters name but he was the bomb. Very welcoming with great insight and recommendations to the menu. Food was delightful. Flavorful and fresh. I had the "Nates Veal" dish and fettuccine pesto. Will definitely return next year when I'm in town. I will recommend this everyone who loves Italian cuisine

To-Go ordering is very efficient. I placed an order to go for 2 meatball calzones & was told 15 min..drove and sat in my vehicle when she brought out the bill…I asked about what kind of sodas they have and she was polite to offer in detail what was available. Late night dinner with a friend after her flight was delayed and we both were super impressed. Service was TOP TIER from the moment we arrived. Atmosphere is nice and cozy and if you’ve never been to Italy, you will start planning a trip ASAP! Bruschetta starter was fresh and delicious. I had the lasagna con pollo and it was AMAZING! Pasta made fresh in house! Wine was excellent and our waiter was the absolute BEST! Will definitely be back and refer my other foodie friends.

The food was excellent! The chicken marsalla was perfectly cooked that sat on top of delicate angel hair pasta. The sauce was creamy and delicious. The lasagna was perfectly cooked with a hearty meat sauce. The desserts were incredible. The tiramisu was light and airy, but incredibly decadent with the hot chocolate sauce they served with it. The creme brulee was creamy with a perfect layer of carmalized sugar. The only downside to this place is the open kitchen that is noisy and takes away from the ambiance. I recommend sitting on the porch if it is not too hot.

The food was very tasty. Lots of flavor. They have weekday early bird specials until 6. The downfall was the bread before the meal was not fresh. We were not given butter or any oil to go with the bread. Disappointing because my favorite thing is fresh bread before my meal. If not for this Bellas would have received 5 stars.

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Bellas last night. We have been coming to Bellas for the last 5+ years and it is always a delight. We normally come for our birthdays (BOGO birthday meal with email sign up!) but we have also celebrated other occasions here. The Chicken Parmigiano is the best in town. My husband loves their Pollo Milano and recommends it to anyone who loves Balsamic and Sun Dried Tomatoes. Even though their pasta machine was broken, we still were able to order Ziti and it still tasted amazing. We always order the brushetta appetizer and would highly recommend it.. Their bread always comes out so warm and soft, it tastes amazing with a hint of salt on top! This was our first time ordering Vesuvio, which is a Belgian Molten chocolate cake and it literally melted in our mouths. So Yummy! Be sure to purchase one of their cookbooks so you can make the delicious food at home also :)

Omg, where do I begin! Bella's was so delicious and portioned for 2 people. The most authentic Italian Pollo Piccata I've had in the past 3 years. My husband and I came in to celebrate my birthday Wednesday night and glad we did. Our waitress was very attentive and suggested different menu items, as this was our first visit here. Parking was a bit of chaos, but all was forgotten once inside.

Yummmm!! I got the pera sachet, and it was soo delicious! We were seated outside, but there’s plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Our server was great and attentive. I never had to ask for a refill on my drink as the glass seemed to just magically fill itself! I can’t remember his name, but he was a tall, white gentleman (Josh, maybe?). He offered us good recommendations on the food.

The bread at Paneras is better than here. My friend got a side of spinach which looked like something Popeye wouldn’t even eat. Spinach should be sautéed in garlic and olive oil… The ambiance is terrible and boring, the food is okay and the service is good. The to share plates at my table were dirty and had to be sent back. I've been eating at Bella's for at least 25 years and it has been around much longer than that. The one time I was in their kitchen (as a repairman) it was spotless! Everything is scratch made daily: breads, sauces, pasta, everything. My personal favorite dish is the Pera Sachet. Pasta purses filled with pear, robiola, ricotta and parmesan cheeses. Served in a creamy saffron sauce with peas and prosciutto. They do have a bar area as well. It is rather dark inside and it does get a bit loud. If that bothers you the seating outside on the patio may be quieter. Dressed up or casual both work here. PS. They have brick oven pizza as well.

My Favorite Italian place in tampa! The staff is very friendly and usually very attentive. Food is fantastic and while waiting at the bar one time I met the owner. She was very nice. I highly recomend. The only issues here are the parking, and the calamari! Lol

Absolutely fantastic. Passione viola is one of the best drinks I've ever tasted. Pasta was so delicious and the sauce was just a dream! I had the pera sachet and it was just so unbelievably good. The sweetness of the pear was just such an incredible pairing with the savory sauce. Mmmhmmm try it!!!

Great Italian restaurant. Lobster bisque, chicken parmesan, and the lava cake are all amazing options. Service is wonderful, restaurant, although loud, is very nice, and the food overall is very tasty, although could be a little better for the price. 8/10.

The food was very good. Atmosphere was decent, average for a restaurant and was kept very clean. I think what stood out was the service which was fantastic. We had a table of 8 and folks arrived at different intervals ordering appetizers, drinks, and food at different times and our server didn't miss a beat. She juggled menus, extra plates, bottomless drinks and more and was extremely friendly. She also had great recommendations on the food. Overall a great place to eat.

Truly the best place in Tampa! The food is impeccable every time! We always sit at the bar and love dining with Alyssa. She’s always accommodating and remembers exactly what we order. If we switch it up, she always has the best recommendations. She always professional and makes you feel right at home! The environment is nice a romantic and dark lit. You have to try the appetizer the formaggio. It is a baked goat cheese we literally order it every time! Everything we have had here is so delicious made with soul. Parking was tight, but it was a Saturday night. The estimated wait was right on. Really loud inside, but again it was a Saturday night. Once seated, service was great. Bruschetta came out right away, followed by apps and children's food. Had the insalata salad, which was really tasty! The main entrees were okay, had the spaghetti and meatballs and the chicken marsala. Pretty heavy on the salt, but it wasn't terrible. I didn't go with my server's suggestions, in hindsight maybe I should have lol. Dessert was a lava cake, it was a little deflated (see photo) but tasted okay as well. Nothing different from any other lava cake dessert. Food did come out very timely and staff was very friendly. I'd venture back to try something else.

You can't beat the service at this place. The wait staff were very attentive, and I was with a large party. The drink stayed full and the waiter had a pleasant attitude and knew everything about the menu. They're doing things right at this place. I only had an appetizer because we were there for a quick bite. But the place was packed so you know they're doing something right. I think I even saw a wood fired pizza oven when I was leaving. Will have to go back and try their pies and give the place a proper review.

So my boyfriend ordered Bruschetta and Aracini for dessert. The Bruschetta needed a little more salt and tomatoes taste. We also ordered soup, Pasta E Fagioli is delicious, but the Tortellini is bland with no taste.The Aracini is good. I ordered Grouper alla calabrese, the grouper and the sauce tasted really good! However, my boyfriend ordered Salciccia al forno, but it tasted bland. Overall, our waiter is super nice and friendly. He’s on top of his game and quick. The food come out hot and fast. Also, bring your dog! They have a patio outside for pet friendly! Dessert is delicious (Cannoli)! But the price is reasonable and not too expensive!

Food came out pretty fast after 9pm and definitely should sign up for birthday club, you get some type of discount. Food cooked where you can see it being made.

First time there and it was great. Really crowded because of back to school at UT, bit the place is huge and they have a big lounge to wait in. The food and drinks are pricey, but delicious. The service was excellent; very upbeat staff and super friendly considering how slammed they were. No question we would go back. Had the ravioli and calzone.

Great food & drinks, consistent, cozy atmosphere and LOVE that they stay open late. Love the St Germain Spritze, pasta purses and margarita pizza is a classic. They make their pasta and pizza crust from scratch. You can sit outside and the high tables is my favorite place to sit.

Went for valentine's day. They had heart shaped decor and roses on the outside. I ordered the Chicken Giovanna w/ roasted potatoes and girlfriend ordered Grouper Picatta w/ Fettuccine Alfredo. We also ordered 2 glasses of wine and finished with a Creme Brulee. The food was delicious and plentiful. My gf doesn't typically finish meals at restaurants as she had a small appetite, but she finished ot all here. Everything was under $90. Will be coming again and definitely recommend.

Have always heard how good this place was. The food and service didn’t disappoint. Atmosphere was a little loud but that’s not a big deal. The unsavory part of the meal was the servers that utilized a surface inches from our ears to fold linen napkins. We got to hear about table 15 and how rude they were (allegedly) and how the server intended on making them wait for service for essentially wanting a moment to open the menu prior to selecting an appetizer. F bombs and assorted profanity included. It was fun. Luckily, we’re not unreasonable humans otherwise we’d probably leave. I know that it’s hard to find service help but man, logic should kick in when you’re a foot from customers. Sad. So if you enjoy entertainment during your meal, skip the Colombia flamingo dancers and ask for the table closest to servers doing side work!

Very pleasantly surprised by how good the service, food, value, and ambience were. We are weekly Friday pizza diners and only patronize local pizza eateries. I had noticed Bella's was in the top 10 for pizza in the Tampa area and had always wanted to give it a go. We live in northern Tampa so carry out is usually reserved for places around me in Wesley Chapel and new Tampa as downtown Tampa pizza places with the 30 minute drive would result in lukewarm pizza. So this week we decided to make it a date night and make the drive and eat in person. Well worth the drive. I would venture to say their pizza was better than Eddie and Sam's, although they are different. New York style pizza is Eddie and Sam's thing not Bella's. The cocktail I ordered was one of the best I've ever had. It is called the Torino. A mix of Whistle pig piggyback rye and High West double rye with decanter bitters, dark sugar, and a hint of lemon. If you like whisky cocktails you can't do better. The pizza was perfectly cooked in their oak fire oven and flavorful, the toppings fresh and the sauce was wonderful. Our server was attentive and friendly even in a very busy atmosphere. They seem to have the perfect playbook to handle a busy Friday night and still provide great service and great food. Kudos Bella's we will definitely be back!

Miami Food Scene

Bellas was very good. The restaurant gets packed and doesn't take reservations so plan ahead. Having said that, it also moves quickly and efficiently without rushing you. I guess it just has an efficient team in all aspects of the restaurant... from the check in to getting your bill. It is just a well oiled machine. While we waited for our table we grab drinks at the bar which is nicely stocked. Had a few glasses of wine and 20-30 minutes later... table was ready. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. She recommended some of their most popular dishes and we ordered a few things from that and everything was good. Very flavourful. The beef Carpaccio comes with this nice sauce that truly makes this dish unique. For main course we had the salmon which is blackened and was cooked perfectly... juicy, not dry at all. The spice level can be a little strong if you don't like heat or spicy. The pear sachet... filled with pear and cheese was a wonderful pasta choice .. a little savory and sweet. Everything was delicious and nicely cooked. Wine list is very complete having something for everyone's taste and budget. PS: If you are not from Tampa or from this area take a little drive around the bay. It is a beautiful neighborhood.

Recently came here with family. Fantastic food all around, but I am writing this review because in fact there was a problem with my meal as I found something in it while eating....a foreign object from the kitchen that didn't belong there. It really wasn't a big deal. These things are bound to occasionally happen in a restaurant and my meal was delicious. However, I did mention it to the waiter and within two minutes the general manager was at our table, apologizing, explaining and offering compensation. This was unexpected and astoundingly professional, courteous and caring. The manager's only concern was that this did not ruin our experience at the restaurant and he made sure that was the case. We will certainly be happy to return to Bella's when we are in the area again.

This place is one of the best, top ten, I should think, Italian restaurants in Tampa Bay Area. The restaurant was warm, cozy and a little bit dark, with a pub for a beer or two while watching sport. There were outdoor seatings with candlelight, pretty romantic. It was impressive that the pizza here was fresh, made-to-order with hand-made dough, and traditionally grilled in a wood-fired brick oven. There was an Italian-bread basket came along with butter as long as the drink was served. We started with a bowl of Panna D’aragosta, which I must say that too salty. Besides, I always had a Bruschetta whenever I came to an Italian restaurant, and then a dish of Famous Chopped Salad. Both of them are tasty, especially the Bruschetta, which I could say the best of its kind I have ever had in Tampa. The main courses we ordered were a dish of Lasagna and a very authentic Margherita Pizza. We enjoyed it quite much, but the Lasagna was a bit of over salty to me. Also, the marinara sauce in the Lasagna, and pizza was made of real fine tomatoes with fresh basil. The service was excellent. The server had even asked us if we would like cheese on top of the pasta before he shaved a whole wheel Parmesan cheese tableside until we said that was enough. Even though I am not a fan of sweet treats, but it was too tempted to us for not asking a Tiramisu. The Tiramisu did not come alone as the server also pour the hot, home-made dark chocolate sauce on top of the Tiramisu. However, I found the dessert was much too sweet, and could not taste the rum of it. After the dessert, you can walk along the bayside as the restaurant was just steps from Bayshore Boulevard. Very romantic and worth the night. Overall, the dinner at Bella's was fantastic. The price was not too costly for authentic Italian cuisine, and amazing service.

Had a wonderful dinner here, with my husband's coworker. The wait time was about half an hour, so we had drinks at the bar. It was a Sunday night and the restaurant was pretty full, even with their outdoor seating. We were seated and ordered appetizers. Our waitress was very sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. They had calamari and bruschetta. My husband had the veal dinner. I had the Sal Al vegan meal. I'm a vegetarian, so I replaced the vegan cheese with regular mozzarella. It was AMAZING! We then all had dessert, which we normally wouldn't. I had the lava cake and loved every bit. Lol We will return. 😊

Holy God. I ate my own dinner, then stole my husband's food from him as he watched in horror, and then I ordered another serving to go. The pasta and the pesto sauce were highly memorable, as well as the chicken over tomato basil cream sauce. Every single thing we ordered was wonderful, and our server was so nice and was fantastic at suggesting items and bringing extras. My fiance's family and I went here for my Birthday. This place is absolutely adorable! Truly some of the best Italian food I've tasted in quite a long time. The pasta is freshly made there at the restaurant and trust me when I say the pear sachets were delightful. Truly a falvor experience. Our server was fantastic and extremely informative as well. Outside dinning is available here as well for those that are concerned about being indoors and too close to other people. Side note: You get a free dessert for your Birthday. I highly suggest the Raspberry Creme Brulee.

It’s very hard... They have kind service. Yes, kind. Here hostesses, the waiters, the managers are all so attentive and smiling. Sometimes you can go to a place and you get waited on with a guilt trip like, the place is super busy and making excuses, but here they don’t make excuses and they are busy bees making sure everything is running smoothly. BEST cocktails, whoever decides their mixes deserves and award. Wish it was 4.5 star, 5th star is missing because the food is not as amazing as their ambiance, services, and drinks. The bread is average, not very warm and slight dry but still fresh! However the calamari is well above average, sublime even. The breading is very light, and octopus not too thick, so it’s very balanced. I have had the dish of spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, confetti spaghetti, all very good, but they are nothing spectacular. Again all delicious, but for $17-29 a plate of pasta I sort of want to be delightfully surprised at how amazing it is. Maybe simply just lacking salt or a robust cheese profile, either way it’s still tasty. Always coming back.

First time in and I gotta tell ya I was not impressed enough to come back. The service was great from the friendly hostess to the very attentive server. My food on the other hand was a different story. My Angel Hair pasta was clumped together like it had been sitting for a tad too long. My Veal Parm which is my favorite meal, I order it so I can make the decision if I'll be back and it was very disappointing. It's the first time I've ever been charged extra for breading on my veal which they called Romano style. It was light on the mozzarella cheese and the sauce was bland at best. All in all I wouldn't refuse a free meal here but I wouldn't pick it if given a choice.

We went at 5 on a Saturday and got seated immediately. Our server was fast getting our drink order. We ordered the calamari and it came out fast. The calamari was good but could have had a bit more flavor. We split the chopped salad and it was also good. We enjoyed fresh bread while we waited for our chicken with sauce and mushrooms. We were very satisfied. For desert we had the creme brulee and it was done perfect. Our bill was $70 which was very fair. A great place to get Italian food 👍

Bella's is definitely one of S Tampa's little gems. Their goat cheese appetizer is to absolutely die for; probably one of the best appetizers I've had in my life. The food itself isn't the greatest Italian food, but they offer a hefty amount of yummy food at a good price. Wait staff are incredibly quick and polite. All staff are great, truly. Highly recommend this place to everyone and will definitely be back!

The food was good, the server was nice but unfortunately needs to remember lemon vs lime. Then after we shared that he gave lemon vs lime and asked him to correct this, we had to ask again because he forgot to bring. Also had to ask twice for bread. Seems petty but it is frustrating to have to ask more than once and particularly after the error was made. I dislike takin away from the tip and did not but we all usually tip 20% or a little more and did not because of errors.

This is my second time coming to Bella’s, and it was a wonderful experience. This time was extra special for us since we came back from the Lightning/Devils playoff game, and Devils fans we weren’t too pleased. Eric, the general manager, came up and welcomed us and was very attentive and interactive. Later on he even gave us a complimentary appetizer and offered us extra sauce for my mom’s meal. Our waiter, Joe, was phenomenal. He made sure we were enjoying ourselves, which we always do, and was always refilling our drinks. The food is home made and always made to order instead of just sitting there waiting to go out. The menu has plenty of options, even vegan ones, which I was so surprised!!! This place is a MUST GO to! If you haven’t had the pleasure of enjoying Bella’s then go ahead and enjoy yourself!!

This place is beautiful, it small cozy and screams the fact that it’s family owned and operated. Their food is out of this world. Great options if you are vegan ( I tried the beyond sausage pasta and fell in love). Their bread is fresh and amazing. Would also recommend the scampi scampi starter if you like shrimps. Why 4 stars then? The service was a little lacking, it was a busy night but our waitress was either not present for the most part and when she did come would remove the plates even before we were done.

Delicious food and great atmosphere! There is a full bar and seating both at the bar and booth/table seating near the bar to enjoy drinks while you wait. We came on a Saturday evening around dinner time and only had about a 15 minute wait. Drinks and food are all delicious and the outdoor seating is nice, plus a lot quieter and more romantic compared to the indoor seating. It’s very evident the pasta is made fresh. Love, love, love this place! They always do a great job. My favorite meal here is the Genoa Pizza with pesto. It tastes just like the pizza I've had in Italy. Had a wonderful ladies night tonight with my 2 girls in the lounge! Aubri was wonderful! No rushed service and quick delivery of food. We shared carpaccio, lobster bisque, Ceasar salad and bruschetta for apps. Entrees came out hot and fresh, even though we had only a few bites and boxes up the rest for later. Had the bolognese and it was wonderful. Service was good too. A few small things that are suggestions for improvement. Slice the bread so you do not have to pull it apart to share. Speaking of the bread, it was so good but served with pat butter. What Italian restaurant does that? It should be served with fresh butter or oil / vinegar. Place was freezing too. Why does it have to be below zero inside just because it is hot out? Definitely would go back.

I'm not often beholden to Italian restaurants that predominantly serve pasta dishes. But Bella's does it right. They even have a cookbook out. Bella's is a great place to take a date and it just has this natural romantic vibe. And the food is romanced as well. The passata tomato sauce is amazing and really highlights the ripened tomato which forms the base of the sauce. It is much more authentic and true to the southern Roman region of Italy vs American regional. The Carpaccio is to die for, beef tenderloin served razor thin with an excellent caponata aioli. A perfect evening under the nighttime Tampa sky with perfect food. Sets the stage beautifully for a stroll along the Tampa Riverwalk or Bayshore Blvd.

I heard so many good things about this restaurant and decided to try it out yesterday. I ordered over the phone and did curbside delivery. When I arrived at the restaurant, the runner told me that they ran out of the Ravioli Verde. I was cool about it and kindly asked why they didn't call me. He said they don't keep phone numbers associated with orders. Oooookaaay. Since we still had enough food to feed everyone, I wasn't too worried...even though my daughter was very disappointed about not getting her Ravioli. So, we get home and try the food. I ordered the Lazagne con Pollo, which was somewhat average due to being slightly overcooked. Also ordered the Salmon al Forno, which was tasty but also overcooked. The saving grace was the simplest of items that we ordered, which was the Formaggio al Forno. Dipping the bread into the tasty sauce and goat cheese gave me life. So, not sure if this was just a one-off fluke, but my overall experience was average. I would reluctantly give them another try, but perhaps dine-in as opposed to pickup.

Sued and service was quite good we arrived just as the restaurant was opening front of the house and back of the house staff seemed prepared and ready for service. Prices were quite reasonable for the Tampa market especially for lunch. Food arrived promptly and was executed well. Our server, Gigi was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu she made sure we were well taken care of. Overall, we had a great lunch.

We had a great experience here. We stopped by after kids gasparilla fireworks to have dinner and wait for traffic to subside. We ordered gnocchi and ravioli with shrimp added to the ravioli. This is not a cheap place to eat but the flavors were great. We really enjoyed the shrimp and the tomato cream sauce was perfect with the ravioli. The gnocchi itself is kind of bland so they paired it with walnut which is exactly what it needed. This makes me think that much care has been put in to their menu.

Took my daughter for late afternoon lunch. Waitress was awesome and efficient. We had the confetti spaghetti. I think the sauce must have been made a while before because it was not creamy. It was thick and dense as though it had been sitting on a warmer for a while. Flavor was good though, as was service.

They have a modest selection of vegan dishes and the only cheese option is branded Daiya mozzarella which is an upcharge. We went last night for my birthday. Joe was the best, probably the best server than most restaurants. It's rare to be served by someone who's consistent with refills. We probably had 4 refills on bread, Lol. They have the best tonic water and cocktails. I can't issue a high rating due to the portion of food. We ordered Matteo's Chik'n which costs $22 no appetizers. There was a small portion of pasta. If it wasn't for the free bread, I probably would've still been hungry. I really wish I could give a high score since my waiter also gave me the best cocktail for free for the lack of vegan deserts.

Whenever I travel, I like it to visit local restaurants rather than chain restaurants. I chose this location based off the reviews, and I was not disappointed! I got the grilled chicken panini with their house chips and homemade sauces . It was absolutely delicious! I did not sit down for this meal, but rather took it to go. The person who answered the phone and helped me with my order was very happy and up beat, and was equally enthusiastic when I came to pick up my order. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I love the food, menu, atmosphere, and staff at this South Tampa classic. They have extended the patio and removed tables inside so plenty of space between diners. I was surprised that our waiter, who was friendly and attentive, was not wearing a mask or gloves which I expected. We didn't mention it then, but I think it would add an extra layer of safety during these times.

I Love this restaurant. I love it for so many reasons. It is a home away from home. The carpaccio is the best in town. The Lobster soup is perfection. The insalata mista is so original !! The Genoa Pesto Pizza causes cravings! For years this place has been a neighborhood staple of high standards. It is a treat every time. I’ve been eating here for years and the food and service is consistently good! The salsiccia al forno is our favorite! Nice atmosphere but certainly can be loud at dinner rush. The parking can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are but usually there’s a space available. I drive 45 minutes for this at least once a month. It’s worth it!

It's very good quality food. The service was great. The prices were not outrageous, and a respectable value. This was a great meal that came out to a pretty doable $30/per person with leftovers for 2 person-meals for our 4-adult party. I'd recommend this for a cozy but chill date destination.

Really excellent Italian restaurant. Very busy at least on Saturday nights. Extensive menu with the usual veal, chicken and fish options as well as pizza and pasta. Full bar, apps available in bar seating area but not full entrees. The eggplant parmesan I had was excellent as was the cafe salad and steamed veggies. Prices pretty good considering the quality, service friendly and efficient. Did not try the pizza but they looked great. Parking a bit tight when busy, free valet parking available when busy. I would certainly return to Bella's.

Arrived at 6:30 with a party of 6 - family. The restaurant does not accept reservations. We were told the wait would be from 45 minutes to an hour -- and that estimate turned out to be perfectly accurate. Waiting outside was not a good option (Florida in August) - but waiting inside wasn't ideal either. The place was packed very tightly with people waiting. And it's loud - very loud. Our group settled near the bar until we were seated. My mother had some trouble with the high bar stool - and the hostess quickly accommodated her with a regular dining chair. Once seated, we were served a bit of bruschetta - one piece for each person, and then we were served bread - plenty for the whole table. Very, very good. The bread was salty, but in a good way. Each of the six main dishes were excellent - no complaints, only compliments. A few weeks ago, my wife ordered Fettuccine Alfredo at Benedetto's that turned out bland. But at Bella's, it tasted great! Our server provided excellent service all around. He was friendly, professional, and helpful - he never disappeared for too long. The only drawback to our experience was the noise level. It was difficult to talk to people without shouting. Also, I wish Bella's accepted reservations. I'm looking forward to returning soon. But I will try to arrive earlier when the restaurant has fewer people with less noise.

Initially it took awhile for the waitress to come to my table, but the service was good overall and my drink was refilled often. The food came out very quickly and was delicious. The portion was a fair size and filling. The garlic bread was overly salty. Overall a good meal, it seemed a little overpriced though.

Probably my favorite Italian restaurant. Great atmosphere, consistently excellent service, and a huge selection of quality dishes. Always start with the lobster bisque and the bruschetta. Pretty much whatever pasta you're into, they'll have a top notch version of it. Tastes fresh too.

Second time to Bella's. It was a busy Saturday night, waited about 40 minutes for a table for 4. Exactly the wait time they told us. Food was well worth the wait. Very fair prices, staff is very friendly and awesome pasta and sauce. Place was extremely noisy, wouldn't recommend for a first date unless you don't want to hear anything your date says. Outside maybe better choice if you would like to talk during dinner and be heard if you don't mind eating in the heat and humidity. Saw a few dogs by the outside tables, that is nice they can accommodate your furry friend.

Overrated. Our waiter was all over the place for starters. After we sat down, it took him a few minutes to get to our table. 10 mins just to get drinks. Another 10 mins for our appetizer order. The wine pour was sorry to say the least. Never again. The food was very good though.

Holy amazing! Best Italian food I've had ever. No exaggeration. Went to Pene Rustica and had poor service. Went to Bella's instead and SO glad we did. Vegan and vegetarian options! My wife got the vegetarian sausage pasta and I got the vegetarian chicken parmesan. We are already planning our next visit.

Wow! This is an incredible experience in this restaurant. Start off with your choice of drinks and some amazing bread. They have an excellent appetizer assortment to choose from as well as fresh salads. Your main course, what ever you choose is going to be excellent. I ordered Nate's chicken! Imagine two perfectly pounded chicken breast with a light coating of bread crumbs and Romano cheese sauteed then add a layer of mozzarella cheese then cover with the most exquisite heavy cream base Marsala wine with mushrooms and prosciutto. Served over a bed of perfectly sauteed spinach. They have desert if you choose but I was stuffed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. They also have have a brick pizza oven.

Bella's is one of the best Italian restaurants around. A little more upscale than your average Italian joint, but nothing too fancy. Price-wise, it can get a bit high quickly depending what you order, but it is money well spent. Love their Confetti Spaghetti dish! Service has always been great. We always try to make a stop here when in town. Highly recommend.

I had the calamari dinner & it was ok. It was a very generous serving, but turned out not to be what I expected. Not their fault, just wasn't my taste, although the maranara sauce was delicious. The bruschetta was amazing, as was the Vesuvio, which we had for dessert. Our server, Elyssa, was fantastic. My dinner companions loved their meals, which I sampled, & they were delicious. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants for a long time. The atmosphere is great, staff is always friendly, and we really appreciate their fresh pasta. We discovered Bella’s on a random date night but were nervous to go there when we changed our eating habits to vegan/plant based. However we discovered they have a great vegan section on their menu with gardein chick’n and beyond sausage. They also have a few vegan pasta options and you can create your own pasta dishes. Wish more places would consider vegan/plant based like Bella’s! They are a step above the rest!

Absolutely fantastic food! Amazing service with Kelly & Carli on two separate occasions... If I could go back again on my trip here to Tampa I would definitely hit this spot again!! The "Nate's Chicken" was killer good...seriously! Shrimp Scampi appetizer had all the right flavors of garlic and butter with chopped up bell peppers and onions, the dessert of the chocolate lava cake with Belgium chocolate and ice cream was like a Homer Simpson donut drooling good! Lol And...yes and... The espresso was even on point... Every dish led to the next with no intent of having a full A-Z meal but hey when the food and service is this good, you have to write an awesome review so the next person can have a go. You won't be disappointed, just get a reservation if you're going on a Friday or Saturday night. BON APPETITE!!

Visiting for work from the panhandle. We'd just left bush gardens and were very hot and hungry. I searched for Italian food and scrolled past any chain food places. Bellas is beautiful, has good parking and the food was some of the best I've ever had. The staff are very sweet and we couldn't tell the manager enough compliments about the food and our waiter, Adrian! If you're going, take my word for it, you want the tiramisu!! We will be coming again before we leave town!

I love Italian and this place is a hidden gem. Came in less than an hour before closing cause some friends were in town and were seated immediately. We had an amazing server named Cameron. He didn’t rush us or anything, you would have no idea the place was close to closing time and that was really appreciated. He suggested a dish with sausage, mushrooms and penne covered with cheese. I’m not a fan of mushrooms but they were really good in this. Also I don’t know the name on the menu but ask for a recommendation. This dish was probably one of the best recommendations I’ve had in a while and only 21.99. Also, Cameron was extremely attentive and made the experience just great. Will definitely come here more often. 11/10

I got the arancini for an appetizer, Nate's chicken as my entree, and lastly creme brulee for dessert. I couldn't eat all this food, I was able to save some to take back. However, even when split into to meals, it is still a little expensive. The service is great. Food came out hot and tasted very good. They show you all the desserts on a tray if you’re interested in ordering dessert. Only drawback is the price.

For the price honestly it was just okay. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs for take out. Hardley any sauce and the noodles tasted very bland. Ordered the tiramisu for dessert and it had a whole bunch of whip cream and no cake at all. The butter shrimp was good and a great sauce to dip your bread in.

If you haven't been to Bella's, you clearly don't love great food because you're missing out! This is my favorite italian restaurant in Tampa. The atmosphere is cozy, yet chic - great for a date or just a night out with friends/family. The staff is always friendly; they always make sure to hold open the door for you, whether you're coming or going. Now, the food: you can't go wrong with the arancini appetizer, or the goat cheese one (I forget the name). They are delicious! I've never had a disappointing main course, but I recommend the pasta il mare. Seriously, one of the top restaurant in a city with a lot of great places to eat!

Bella's does not offer call ahead seating, but we tried to give them a heads up that we had a large group (10). Additionally, we chose to have an early dinner so that it would be easier to get in (6:00). When we arrived we were told that we would have to wait about 30 minutes for a table, which was understandable because it was a busy night. They told us to wait in the bar and order drinks and appetizers, but the wait staff in the bar completely ignored us for 20 minutes. They didn't think we were going to order anything so they didn't want to waste their time on us, even though we were talking up 4 of their bar tables. Eventually we were given a small table that we had to cram into, but the service and food was excellent once we were seated. Needless to say I will not recommend this for any groups larger than 4 or 5 since they are unaccommodating.

This is a popular place in South Tampa. They use fresh ingredients and make their food and sauces by hand. A lot of their food is a little pricey, but not for the area to be fair. This was the chicken rosso I believe, it was a seasoned chicken with fresh veggies served on linguine. The ambiance is dark and it's usually packed around 6-7. One of the best Italian places in town for sure.

Nice cozy atmosphere with a bar and TV's to enjoy watching sports. I especially love their weekend late night 1/2 price pizzas. Their pizzas taste like true authentic Italian pizza. The thin and crispy crusts are delicious. And, my favorite is the "Tre Fungi" which is loaded with mushrooms and cheese. It tastes amazing!! And, the late night prices are great!

Alrighty folks! THIS PLACE! WOW! My wife and I lived in Italy for 16 years and we have indulged on Italian Cuisine for some time and I gotta tell ya... this place is AWESOME! The esthetics are top-notch, the crew works very well together, the service (to include complementary valet parking... just be sure to tip) and the food are all amazing. I ordered the most simple dish (spaghetti w/ meatballs) just to see how much attention-to-detail they put in something as simple as this. I was blown away. My wife, being a certified Chef and has a degree in the culinary arts, took note of how they run this resturaunt and everything was on point down to the finest detail. They take their business seriously and aim to please. You won't be disappointed. Just allot plenty of time to eat here. This is not the place to go in and out of within 30 minutes. The culture is to have a delicious meal and enjoy... take your time. Bottom Line: this is the place to bring families and friends who loves food and culture. Many thanks to Bella's Cafe for making our experience a memorable one. Definitely coming back.

Bella's Italian Café on South Howard Avenue in Historic SoHo Hyde Park area is a staple of the community. Bella's has served delicious Northern Italian cuisine for decades. Although I live in Clearwater now and visiting Bella's does not occur as often as preferred, their delicious dishes will remind you to return as soon as possible. From their signature Mista salad to the unique pasta combinations you will enjoy every bite. One of my favorite selections are the personalized pizzas. Authentically baked in oak burning stone oven imported from Milan. You can't get more genuinely Italian than that. The veal and chicken dishes have great depth of flavor. Especially the Marsala and Piccata selections, in my opinion. If longevity speaks for anything, Bella's has long established itself as a can't miss for locals and visitors to South Tampa alike.

Bella’s is an all time classic Tampa restaurant. It is no wonder that it has been here for so long. Parking can be a bit tough but they have a valet on busy nights that is complimentary. From the moment you enter, you can smell the aroma of tantalizing Italian food. Patrons are served a delectable piece of bruschetta and warm bread. The wine selection is plentiful and Neapolitan oven serves up the best pizzas. The strawberry salad is fresh and tasty and so is the kalamari. I always get the spaghetti and meatballs as I always do at most Italian places but I’ve tried a myriad of items on the menu. The pear purses are rich but light, the duck porcini always cooked to perfection and the lasagna is hot hot hot. A favorite of mine and a go to for meeting up with friends, family and clients alike

Bella's Italian Cafe is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Tampa. I've had a variety of different menu items here, including pasta, chicken Parmesan, and the shrimp scampi, and all have been great. If you come here on a weekend for dinner, expect there to be a wait. They don't do reservations so it's first come first serve. The pasta here is very flavorful. This is one of the few places I know if where you can create your own pasta dish - you pick the type of pasta, the toppings , the sauce, etc. I usually get the aglio e olio pasta which is garlic and olive oil and it has lots of herbs and spices. I most recently had the shrimp scampi appetizer as my meal and I would definitely get it again. It comes with crackers for dipping in the sauce. The bread and butter that comes with every meal is very good - the bread is extremely salty, but good. The servers are always friendly but I must say that this last time I had to wait for my food for a while. Overall, I've never had a bad experience here and if you're looking for good Italian in Tampa, look no further, this is the place to go!

So be careful and save some room for your entree. I had the Salsa Parmigiana Romano style. Absolutely delicious. It is not heavily breaded so you can really taste the succulent chicken. They also serve great drinks and dessert. Been here several times and will continue to visit.

Everything was delicious from fried calamari to our entrees lazagna with bolognese, cheese pizza, shrimp with a tomato alfredo sauce and desserts. The only fault was our waitress. Ginger, needs to improve on her personality and eye contact as well as not to speak so fast. She spoke so fast that we had no idea of what she was saying and she always seem to be looking up as she spoke. We decided to leave her a nice tip only because we think that she might be new and needs more training. Also, walking by the table and just dropping the bill on the table and not saying anything was a big no no. Also walking by 10 min. Later and picks the bill up and then puts it back down as she walked by and not saying anything was strange. I had my credit card in the folder but she didnt even take the time to check. We both got the feeling that she was acting like we was taking to long and we got up and left.

Ah-mazing! I ordered the make your own pasta with alfredo sauce (best I've ever had), chicken and fettuccine noodles, which they make fresh and you can taste the difference. I ordered the tre funghi calzone, tiramisu, and lava cake as a to go order. First time ordering from here so I was not sure what to expect! Let me get to the dessert first and say how delicious they were!!!! I think this was the best lava cake I have ever had! However....the tre funghi calzone was a huge disappointment. There was barely any mushrooms in the calzone, all I saw was cheese and some more cheese! Kind of disappointing when you expect there to be three different types of mushrooms and you could probably count on hand three or four pieces of mushroom and that's it. Not sure if this was because my order was a to go order or they just normally make their calzones this way?

First let me say that I don't understand some of the 4/5 star ratings here that claim they've been going here for years and never had a bad experience. Then why are you rating less than 5 stars? I have been going here about 1-2 times a year for maybe 3-4 years and I can say the food, service, and atmosphere is nice. If noise bothers you, request a seat away from the bar area or pick a time that's fairly early or fairly late to avoid the bulk of it. Restaurant is clean and well decorated. Bella's does not take reservations (at time of review) even though sites like Yelp claims they do. Parking can be limited and there may be some times where your only choice is to use vallet. Again, going somewhat early or late means you'll usually avoid this problem. I've really enjoyed the Pasta il Mare, Tiramisu, and tried some of their Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay options. Nothing on the menu has disappointed yet. They used to have a stuffed mushroom appetizer that was amazing but sadly they did away with it as it was apparently not popular enough. I've never had a waiter/waitress at Bella's that wasn't accommodating, professional, and generally good at their job. Bruce H. was our most recent waiter and did a fine job. I believe the atmosphere is considered 'romantic' but don't quote me. It does certainly carry that vibe with the candles (fake) and dimmed lighting. I'd recommend wearing business casual. Many people have different ideas about what that means so I'll just say for men: slacks, not blue jeans but a nice pair of long pants should be ok, polo or button down (not tucked in is fine). Dress shoes aren't necessary and a suit and tie certainly isn't. I have seen people in there with a t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers but I just don't think it fits the atmosphere of the place. Of course I've also seen this in Bern's Steakhouse ($$$) and I don't think it's remotely acceptable there but people do it anyway. In my opinion it just shows a lack of respect for the environment and negatively impacts the setting for people around them. /rant over.

My fiancé and I went her for lunch. She had the farfalle (bow tie pasta) with alfredo. It was simple and delicious. You can't really go wrong with the classic Alfredo sauce. I had the prosciutto linguini. It was a little different than I was expecting for two reasons. First, whenever I have prosciutto it is usually just the thin shavings. This looked a little like diced lunch meat but the flavor was there so no complaints. Second, I expected more of a garlic flavor. I thought there would be whole cloves of garlic cooked in the olive oil and tossed with the other ingredients. This wasn't the case. I really didn't taste any garlic at all to tell you the truth. The dish was still very good, not oily like some dishes can be and the artichokes were wonderful. Overall it was a lovely experience. We went around 2:30 on a Wednesday and there was one other table in the place. I would definitely recommend this place and we'll be going back.

You might find that when your friends say "everything's good" on the menu, you roll your eyes in disbelief. But believe it at Bella's. Traditional Italian dishes like lasagna, chicken parmigiana and marsala are fresh, savory, and may be customized with fresh pastas or vegetables to your own tastes. Don't skip the seasonal peach crisp a la mode no matter how full you will be. Large portions also.

Fresh pasta, everyone's meal was delicious with large portions. Defiantly better than chain italian (olive garden, carrabas). Table bread tasted microwaved. Definitely going back of I'm in the area looking for Italian.

As always, Sunday's dinner at Bella's was great. We sat at the bar to keep an eye on the game. Love that there's full menu service at the bar. Staff as usual was wonderful.
