What a great spot for dates, snacks, and just to spend some time enjoying an array of food and drinks. I LOVE that this was built within a historic building, they put the space to great use...especially with some of the Elevated food offerings. There really is something for everyone here and, the atmosphere is incredible. There's happy hour at almost every food spot in here and you can get anything from light snacks to fine dining. Definitely worth checking out! Great for families, friends, and everything in between.

This is an awesome, fun and hip restored mixed-use building and outdoor space that completely elevates and breathes life into the neighborhood. It’s an event space, upscale food court, and bars and lounge all in a historic and lofty space. There are many bars and restaurants to chose—from casual grab and go to sit-down restaurant space. You can spend an entire afternoon here getting food and drinks and walking around the river walk, or just a quick meet with friends. Its a good time, every time.

Always a great place to come with friends or family. There is always live music and the atmosphere at the river is a must. The restaurants usually get packed at the sunset, but the food is great. You can bring your pets and just enjoy the day! 🥰

Pretty cool place. I really appreciate that it is actually a very old building (built in 1910 and was once used as a space for streetcar maintenance) If you take your time and really look around you will notice some pretty cool features. I have captured one of the doors and some of the outdoor space. Gave it a 4 out of 5 stars because it was really crowded and because there were not as many "shops" as I expected. Plenty of restaurants though.

One of the must stop places in the Downtown Tampa area! There is something for everyone, whether it's grabbing tacos, ice cream, sushi, wine, crafted cocktail or just a beverage to go walk the river walk at sunset. There are many fantastic restaurants to choose from, but they are on the fancier side. Drinks are pretty expensive at $14 but they are really good! Bring the kids and the dogs outside and enjoy the huge open area, especially as it cools down at dusk!

The vibes here were amazing!!! The food was really great too! So many people out here on new year day. Live music outdoors and people with their families just chilling and listening to the musician play. The view of the city from here was lovely with a romantic feel!

Beautiful park in tampa with many food vendors. You can even bring your dog here to the park but be respectful and clean up after your dog. I was here during the Outdoor Expo, it was free admission but parking was $20 on this day. Usually it’s only $10. I came here often for the outside atmosphere. Great place to take the kids, family or friends out of town. Tampa starting to look really nice. They are expanding the river walk.

Lots of great dining and options and offerings for all tastes. Quick take away or eat in. Lots of different vendors in one space to satisfy your craving. Then have a walk along Riverwalk after. Plenty of parking for a nominal fee. Use Park Mobile or a similar app.

This place is awesome! It's like a much more upscale food court, but the food is like boutique gourmet. You can sit anywhere and the vibes are cool, there are couches, tables, bars, stools, it's just a really awesome place to hang out! Everything we tried was spectacular and didn't disappoint one iota. We'll definitely be back, as there's so many places to try, it would take days and days to try everything that looks and sounds delicious! Definitely a worthwhile experience. (They also have wet wipes out every few feet for people to use to cleanse, as well as employees circulating to clean tables, I was very impressed!)

This was a fun experience! There is plenty of seating and parking although parking is not free. There are a variety of food options on the first floor and a rooftop bar on the second floor with good views of the city. As expected, the food was a little bit pricey for what it was but still pretty good.

Great place to check out. Food for everyone, guarantee you will find something you like here. Huge drink selection. Right on the Tampa river front, definitely recommend stopping by and checking it out, I’d say the best time to come would be around sunset.

Armature Works is a unique collection of restaurants and eating establishments for casual dining. They also have some upscale restaurants if that is your fancy. It is sort of like an upscale food court, but this is no mall food court. All of the eats are really special. Grab your food, sit where are you like either inside or outside and enjoy great atmosphere. This is really a great place to grab some lunch, especially if you have a rather large crowd with diversified tastes in food!

The armature works is an awesome place to stop when visiting Tampa. It’s in a really cool historic building. There is plenty of different places to choose to eat from for the whole family! There’s plenty of seating inside and out and it’s on the water! It was pretty busy when we were visiting but we had no troubles finding a place to sit and enjoy our food! Highly recommend stopping in and checking it out if your in the area!

A fun, industrial, and rustic collection of small shops and restaurants. Amateur works has something for everyone and a nice laid-back atmosphere. Most of the venue is pet friendly. Definitely worth a visit next time you're in Tampa.

Armature Works is just a cool place to hang out, people watch, and get food. It’s family friendly and dog friendly, has water front seats, has a Pirate Taxi stop, and the Riverwalk goes right by it. In the last couple of weeks, I visited Oak + Ola, Ulele, Buddy Brew, and Graze 1910, and I’ve enjoyed each of them. This weekend, there’s even a carnival there. If you haven’t been to AW, you definitely want to stop by. Just a heads up that free parking is limited and when there are events (like this weekend with the carnival) parking can be pricey.

Graze 1910 - Easily the best black bean burger and sweet potato fries I've ever had! The bun was the softest bread I’ve ever had on a burger. Everything was out together perfectly. The sweet potato fries had sugar and cinnamon in them with a sweet glaze over them. Perfect!

A Mexican Pizza

Lovely establishment right on the bay. The parking leaves much to be desire though. Still, once inside; there's plenty of different restaurants to choose from. I ate at a Greek place called "Kippos" that was tasty.

What an amazing place. First time visiting since moving away back in 2018. A lot of cities are doing these public market spaces and Tampa did an excellent job. Ava pizza was delicious and our son loved his lollipop 🍭 from ASTRO.

Really nice area. Haven't tried the food stations yet but it's a very cool concept. Reminds me of Cali. I love the idea of hand washing sink in the seating area so individuals can always stay clean. Downside to the place is wifi can't be connected and even if it can theres only a 2 hour free limit then you have to pay every hour. Parking is paid on parkmoblie. Other than that it's a nice chill area with a nice Riverwalk area.

We were visiting family during holidays and needed a distraction. They have all types of food and the environment is family and pet friendly. We ate empanadas. I had the cheeseburger and Florida girl and they were delicious.

One of my favorite spots in Tampa. Great food options, great to visit day or night. It’s a huge market with several restaurants/coffee shops/dessert spots. Always clean and nicely decorated for the holidays. Great vibes and a popular family spot in the day, with live music and a lively night life. Lots of seating options inside and outside. Parking can be tricky but there is a mix of free and a garage you pay for. Options to eat, drink, exercise, and even kayak! If you’re lucky you’ll spot a manatee or dolphin! Great views of downtown and the bay. Only thing I wish there was more of us shade. Dog friendLy in the outside area - don’t miss this spot!

A must visit destination for tourists and locals. On the river, great view of downtown Tampa, collection of fun restaurants at all price points and so much more. Pizza, burgers, steaks, sushi…sit down fancy, rooftop bar, weekly events like yoga, cycling, etc., grab & go to sit outside along the water… make sure to visit here when in Tampa.

We always seek out food halls when we visit new cities, so we had to check this one out. We tried: - Empamamas - Dharma Southern Kitchen - Muchcachas - Hemingway's Cuban Kitchen As for the food hall itself, we loved it. The location right on the river is beautiful and the design of the interior is really well done. I'd give the food 4/5. It was good, but I wouldn't be running to go back. Hemingway's was definitely my favorite. I love the variety of food you can try at food halls and this one was no exception. It's definitely worth checking out when you're in Tampa!

Awesome! Great place to hang out and catch a bite to eat. Tons of options from sushi, to burgers, to Vegan, and desserts. Not the most cost friendly, but it is delicious. The decor is inviting and modern. Beautiful area for walking and people watching. Right on the water, views are great. Clean restrooms.

Big building with a lot of restaurants. There is seating indoors and outdoors. It's right by a river so great views. There's also a park right there. Great for the entire family. Free street parking but they charge to park on the grass area right across the street. We had a bento box. Every spot uses trays and can be placed next to the garbage cans when done using. Great place to socialize.

Great place to visit during a event. The parking is 10$ and it’s free if you find one in the street. Usually crowded during events and has a variety of restaurants from Mediterranean, Mexican, Chinese to choose and some ice cream shops as well. The new year was fun with the fireworks.

My family had a great time at amature works, very modern and open atmosphere, its not one restroom its many restrooms in a very trendy food court. I had some great tacos from muchachos, and a burrito.

I've never seen/been inside of a place like this before. It feels massive. I went on a Friday night and it was incredibly busy, as expected, but the lines for the different food spots were surprisingly fast. Lots of places to sit and eat or hang out with friends. The music was very loud and it made me feel like I was in a night club. For the amount of people coming and going it was still incredibly clean(bathrooms as well). It is quite the experience if you're someone who has never spent time in a bussling city. If you're on the spectrum or just sound sensitive I definitely recommend noise cancelling headphones. I didn't have any on me but it was great to be able to step away and stroll around by the water when I was overwhelmed. 👍

We stopped by market and art walk on Sunday. Lots of vendors and beautiful hand made pieces. There were lots of food choices but we grabbed lunch at Hemingways Cuban Cuisine and it was delicious.

We ate at Oak and Ola for dinner and the food is fantastic. Some of the best food in Tampa. There are also numerous options for quick bites that are also all local and very worth a visit. The overall experience is excellent.

Cool place to site see, get some nice river views (despite it being dirty brown) and maybe some live music. This place seems more fun to visit during the evening time. There is a parking fee for grass/dirt parking lot, last I paid was $10 for the day. There is also a water taxi for $25/day and will take you to different pitstops around the city. I really, REALLY do not recommend the food vendors here. Absolutely disappointing! Wayyyyy overpriced food that was tasteless, pre frozen or heavily Americanized, there is nothing authentic about any of these food places. I tried the birria queso tacos with the consume sauce at Muchachas.. The tortillas were hard and overcooked, the meat had no flavor other than "beef" and the consume sauce was very watery and tasteless as well. Literally a 3 taco plate, a drink and a burrito will cost you nearly $50 for this sorry place. Don't even waste your money on the Greek restaurant either, it's rated 2 stars for good reason. These restaurants should be ashamed for serving this kind of food for the prices they charge. Only place that seemed remotely decent with a nice view and drinks was M.bird. Overall, cool place to check out once and last time only.

This place is fantastic! The River Walk has a great walking, bicycle trail. Has music, dog park, canoeing, taxi boats, fun boats, lots of restaurants/eateries and the view of downtown Tampa is breathtaking ❤️All you need to enjoy any day. I strongly recommend for couples, family and all.

I'm very sad Dixie darma closed. There are a lot of options but they are expensive and oddly the food tastes similar even if you order from separate booths. I'd like to see more plant based or veg friendly options. It's good to see and try stuff if you're in Tampa but it's nothing too special to write home about.

This place was so cute! Very industrial feel and the vibes were 100! We scoped out a few places and ended up with the birria tacos (with queso - like Mexican cheese not the dip!) from Muchachas and then I finished it off with a phenomenal I r cream from Astro Craft creamery! There was tons of seating and lots of food and adult drink options! The outdoor area was really inviting but we opted for indoors since it was randomly freezing that day in Tampa! I will definitely be back to try more of the tasty offerings

Tons of restaurants in the compound, indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly, kid friendly, litsbif sitting to lounge after eating. Definitely worth the stop. There is wifi, however signal wasn't too strong and it's slow. Guessing a lot of people are on it. There are bathrooms too. Overall, worth the stop.

Such a fantastic time at Armature works! If you want fantastic food and drinks here is the place to be. So many places to choose from, we chose Steelbach and we chose right! The food was amazing and the vibe was just right! Had the best food selection and wine selections. Make sure you hit the rooftop bar if you are a late night person!

I love this place it's such an upscale food court with a waterfront view. We grabbed brunch at Graze 1910, their mimosas are fantastic and their avocado toast is more than a mouth full. Highly recommend stopping in and checking them out.

We celebrated my granddaughters graduation here and it was amazing! I had the EVERYTHING ROLL and I would definitely have it again. I also tasted the PORKBELLY eggs Benedict and that was flavorful as well!

Great place for families. There's something for everyone. Young professionals can grab a drink and high-end fast food with friends or colleagues. Parents and children have plenty of options, including outdoor play areas, dog parks, live venues, and special events, such as the Batmobile viewing tour, for the new DC movie. There's also a series of parks/playgrounds, sports trails, recreational equipment rentals, boat rides, and a natural fresh water spring (viewing only) to enjoy. Overall, it was always a nice time, with great views of South Tampa/Downtown and the Tampabay Riverside.

Great place with several places to eat. All kinds of foods, pizza, Asian, ice cream ...however you can never find a place to sit and eat. Also the food places also do door dash and other food deliveries and you can easily be waiting g 45 minutes for nachos or orange chicken. So order ahead if you can or plan on waiting a good while. Other wise good food all around. Enjoy a walk on the river walk when you are done! Parking is 10.00

Really cool spot. It a big old warehouse converted into a modern day trend food spot. It’s like an upscale variety food court with a couple nice restaurants and on roof top bar. Hey have vegan and Cuban. Typical lunch, tacos, pizza, alcoholic beverages, outdoor and indoor tables and couches, high top eating areas. Dogs are allowed outside only It has Kayak rentals and the water ferry drops off right out front There is a parking lot with an atendent for $10. There is some free parking on the streets with a little big of a walk to the front. Awesome space! Beautiful location on the river. I had delicious cup of coffee from a coffee bar and a scrumptious taco from a vendor. The atmosphere is open, very spacious, extremely clean, alive and freeing. The setting is plentiful. I found each vendor friendly, w/good customer service and fresh food & drink offerings. I would recommend this place to anyone who’s visiting the area from out of state. I was visiting from the upper Midwest. I enjoyed the dog park—pet friendly area. I also found the locals welcoming and engaging as well. To me, the people were the icing on the cake.

Such a cool food hall! You can be here for hours drinking and eating. Large selection for all palettes. Everything is delicious. I’ve tried various vendors. Great vibe and ambiance. I’m probably about to get so many tomatoes thrown at me, but my experience solidified that I am just not meant to like food halls. It’s a great building and there are many great spaces. We did go on a Saturday evening and it was way too crowded to be enjoyable. We grabbed a couple tacos and searched for a seat. You work to get your food, work to get your seat. It’s a fancy mall food court. After seeing it hyped for so long, I was disappointed in our experience. I would go back to one of the sit down restaurants and when the weather is more pleasant. Not a fan of paying to park to spend more money but alas. Would’ve liked to have seen more retail shops as well.

This is like a big, trendy food court. Most places don't take cash or they charge extra to take cash. They all prompt you to tip when you check out, just as a heads up. There are some really interesting dining options, some bars, an ice cream shop, and a little shopping area with unique items. There is a large outdoor area with tables, chairs, a view of the riverfront, and space for kids to run around. The inside is very busy with 20 to 30 somethings and if you're here with kids, it's overwhelming. If you have young kids I would recommend figuring out what you want in advance and sending one person in to get food, or have someone stay outside with the kids while some go inside to order food. It feels hectic to be inside trying to figure out what to eat while also trying to keep a toddler calm and safe in such a crowded space. The outside area is very kid friendly. There's kids running around all over the place having fun. It can make for a pretty relaxing night for adults if you can find a space to sit and let the kids run around. I could imagine some kind of large sand area for kids or adding some fencing to some areas to help the outdoor areas feel a bit more confined if your kids are playing. Still, definitely an awesome spot for kids of all ages. We were unable to find a table to use, and it was a Thursday night. I know weekends get even busier. There's plenty of space to sit on the ground but tables are scarce.

After a walk along the River Walk we decided to get some lunch at Armature Works! It was all delicious! We had walking taco, chicken quesadilla and rice with royal vieja... it was all so good!

This was my very first time at Armature Works and I must say, I was ecstatic my hubby decided to bring me. Everything a girl could want was right in one place! I had sushi (delicious!!), cocktails (flavorful), live music (awesome), waterview, and a gorgeous sunset! This date night was epic! I highly recommend. It was busy but not too crowded. Seemingly, everyone knew how to flow well with the traffic in the streets and sidewalk. This had been one of the best kept secret ever. It was so fun we decided to take the kids two weeks later and ride the scooters. The scooters were fun; although, a bit pricey and very restrictive as to where you could ride. The places you could ride appeared very dangerous in comparisons to other places you'd think you should be able to ride. We probably won't ride again. However... we will come for a third time, to enjoy the other amenities. The restrooms were clean as heck!!! And they had a wash area strategically placed in the food court area. All in all, I enjoyed tremendously and will be as excited the next time I go.

This is a must visit if you are in the area. Every single time I am in town I always visit Armature Works. They have so many great options but I will warn bring your own water. Armature Works has water bottle filling stations but they do not have water cups generally and water is about $5 every time I go for some reason. My favorite restaurant is the Poke and Sushi Place in the corner. My friends who have tried multiple places have said the food is amazing. Parking is usually not hard to find but I would not pay $5 unless you really want to. There is parallel parking for free around the area. I recently there is also valet surprisingly. I tend to gravitate towards going to Armature Works when I have a big group of friends or family since there are multiple options so even picky eaters have options.

UPDATE: 02/10/22...Mentor and myself took our morning walk at Riverwalk today and decided to venture over to the AW and what a beautiful experience once again. We caught a mommy exercise class which was truly cool to watch seeing all of my babies have babies now. This venue is filled with activities and relaxation all in one setting! I've been meaning to visit Armature Works for a while now. Finally, my daughter and I took the evening to explore. Nice venue filled with restaurant style dining, outside sceneries of the bay, walking distance to all downtown have to offer, and much, much much more! There is a spot for every foodie lover and the holiday themes are the center of the ambience. Lastly, the wine lover can pick a spot, sit back, enjoy the sounds in the background and sip. Absolutely nothing like this venue in the Tampabay area!❣❣❣

Great spot to eat, drink, and hang out. I tried Hemingway's and the AM Bar - both had well prepared food & beverages. The atmosphere is comfortable and there's tons of seating options both indoors and outside. Snag an Adirondack by the water and get a great Cuban sandwich!

I was expecting like a wow moment, but it was a bust. Great service. Good food choices, but for the food choices and depending on how far you're driving, this is basically a mall dining experience with alcohol and not many stores. The outside part is nice. Wide open. Right on the water, hence the three stars. I will update this once I try this place on a busier time, maybe the atmosphere will be different.

Headed to this place to meet my friends. Super cool concept and amazing food options. Had pulled pork from one vendor while my kids had pizza from another. My wife had sushi from a different place and we both drank old fashioned from the kiosk with the bar. The place we sat down had an old leather couch with tables pulled up to it. This was my first visit. There are tons of restaurants to pick from. I vered away from my vegetarian diet and had the chicken gyro. It was fabulous. I, also, had the Greek lemon soda. It was worth the try. The price were a bit high for a food court. I recommend the hibiscus berry tea at the brew station. It takes 5 minutes to brew the tea because it's loose tea leaves but it's worth the wait.

Such a great experience every time me and my wife come here. We absolutely love all of the food spots within the area and how clean the building is kept in spite of how many visitors are there every day. My only caveat is the bartenders at the bar in the front could use an attitude adjustment. Having worked in the industry for a while I’m always surprised at how mad and unfriendly they seem, but this has never impacted my drink quality.

This place was cool to get lunch with the variety of food options. My family enjoyed the open seating and River walk views. The water park was walking distance down the street and there was plenty of paid parking. The service was relatively quick at all the restaurants but seating is limited.

This place is cool, but I'm really upset with the valet service here. There was absolutely no signage regarding valet so we used the Park mobile app and now I can't get refunded through Park Mobile and I very much don't like being threatened to be towed when they don't have any appropriate signage up to direct people. It was very dangerous parking & pedestrian situation because everybody was making u-turns and driving over the grass. This valet service needs to be spoken to about how to put up appropriate signage for the weekend.

We went on a Saturday afternoon & it was pretty packed. Parking was a bit difficult. The building & view of the river were awesome. The vibe inside was cool & everyone was friendly including the patrons. It was a bit hard to find seating especially for 6 people. There is a good variety of food from sushi to empanadas, pizza, Cuban food, steak, ice cream, & some other things. It's like a building that's a big food court. They also have adult drinks like beer, wine, & alcohol/spirits. Service was friendly & fairly quick, but the food wasn't anything to write home about. We got a couple of Poke bowls, some pizza, an empanada, & some drinks. We paid a fortune & to be honest it was just ok. The experience is cool, but not worth the prices they charge. If you happen to want to hear conversation from your friends sitting with you, you may want to go outside or somewhere else. It's so loud inside & you can't really hear the person sitting next to you like you're in a club/bar. Nice to experience it once, but probably won't be going again.

A definite go-to. I suggest a poke bowl or sushi from Zukku, the fries and bang bang sauce on the side from Empamama's, the BLT from Graze and tacos/burrito from Muchachas. Also, they just opened up Bento Cafe Asian Kitchen and Sushi; however, they don't serve sushi at this location. This is a great place with a lot of space and a special type of ambiance by the water facing downtown Tampa. It's great to go to with a group of family or friends because there are so many different food/drink options to choose from, which can be convenient if a group of people are indecisive or are just looking for this type of vibe! You can rent scooters and bikes in that area through the apps and the water taxi also departs/arrives there. Armature also has events and/or gatherings throughout the week - check out their website!

I don’t think it’s worth paying 10$ parking when you can literally park on the street for free. The place was crowded.. I don’t recommend the weekend esp in covid. No one was really wearing masks even when they were not eating. I will be back again but on a weekday because finding seating was a trouble during the weekend.

IMO, this place is worth all the hype and attention it receives. It’s an upscale dining hall, where you’ll find something for everyone you’re with to eat along with multiple choices, indoor and outdoor, for seating. It’s situated right on the Hillsborough River with tons of outdoor space. We dined at BnB, Zukku, Bake’n Babes and Astro Ice Cream and everything was divine.

Great place to chill. They took an old run down building and made it into an awesome spot. There are about 10 different food options to pick from. The place is always packed and its difficult find seating and parking. They have a lawn looking over the water. A giant chess board on the outside. If Sunday brunch is your thing this is the spot. You can lounge on couches , tables and the bars here. A lot of food options with live music. The food can be a hit and miss based on the place you pick. It is a bit pricey as well. So do keep that in mind. The parking is 5 dollars.

This was first visit at the Armature Works. It was a large factory converted into a cool place that offers many food, beverage options and hard ice cream which is locally made. There are plenty of casual seating areas comprised of different table and chair options. Located next to the river, it offers plenty of outdoor space for eating. Parking is toughest thing here but available for as little as $5.

There were so many people there just relaxing and enjoying the music. There was a wedding going on in the courtyard while I was there. There are also Beautiful conference rooms that you can rent. Armature Works is the best! Love going there to eat or take in one of the many activities they promote, and then walk or ride along the Riverwalk. The food is fantastic from many smaller vendors and Steelbach is incredible. Between their biscuits and eggs for brunch on the weekend, and the grits at Graze during the week, you're covered! Great burgers, cuban, ice cream, etc. They do a fantastic job promoting constant activities it's one of the best downtown attractions i've seen across the country

Busy busy busy. Typical Saturday night at Armature. Parking can be a hassle, too many people. Everytime I come out here, people run stop signs, don't know how a four-way stop works, block traffic flow, etc. Parking is typically around $10. Once inside it's usually busy, especially on the weekends of course. This place is perfect for all you people watchers. You can see all the patrons practicing the one-upmanship for style points. Food out here is pretty decent, you get a nice mix of everything: coffee, booze, beer, ice cream, pizza, tacos, ramen, fries, etc., just plan on waiting and paying a little more for your meal. Priority is landing a table big enough for your party, that is key. It's hit or miss getting a table fast, depending on the time and number of people with you. So if you want to eat/shop at a packed food hall, stop by and visit and experience Armature Works.

There were not enough seats for the crowd but it was raining so everyone was inside. Outside is a great view to the river along with seating. Great bars also on site. They are open everyday. Nice place to visit with friends and family. They have different types of stores and restaurants for different people. I think it’s a very cool place to hang out. We don’t have anything like it in Tampa like market place. Having said that if you think this market place will be same as LA, Portland, Seattle, or Vancouver, you will be mistaken. I think they have long way to go to reach that level. I think they can add fresh produce or seafood section. Also, they should add more variety of stores. Overall, I had good experience. Sitting outside with food is highly recommended!

This is my favorite style of dining. Large upscale food court/market style dining seems to be the newest trend In every major city. Chicago where I live has time out market, politan row, French market, eataly and many more. Armature works took that already tried and tested type of dining and made it trendier. It is less of a dining hall and more of a place for people to gather and enjoy the amazing scenery and great food. The interior is rustic industrial and there is a beautiful outdoor area with riverfront views. We will definitely be dining here again before we leave!

This place was great and right on our backyard in Tampa Bay. Many food venues for everyone. The prices are just right along side the atmosphere. They have free water stations with room temperature, still and fizz water. The place is an great place to visit right along the hillsborough river. Too bad my girlfriend wore the wrong shoes and she was in pain. Next time we will explore some more. There is a top roof bar as well (to be visited by me later)

Searching for food and drink in Tampa, Florida presents more options than one can imagine. Tampa is, after all, the birthplace of the Cuban sandwich, but this is only the beginning of what you can find in this waterfront city. If you want to visit a place that offers a large cross- section of local food and beverage, then an excellent choice is Armature Works/Heights Public Market. This Tampa attraction is large in size, but not gigantic, so it can easily be navigated in a short time. It is basically like a shopping center for restaurants and bars and that makes it ideal when you are with a group of people and cannot come to a consensus on what to eat and drink. Heights Public Market contains about 22,000 square feet of space with restaurants that serve sushi, burgers, pizza, empanadas, ice cream, etc., plus bars ready to pour you a local beer, wine, or other beverage. The seating is communal, so everyone in your group can get exactly what they want, from the restaurant of their choosing, and then sit together to eat. Outside of Heights Public market is a large yard space facing the waterfront. Here, you will find outdoor seating and often live entertainment. The waterfront location is nice for its views and the entertainment is great for those who want to have some fun while they dine. Heights Public Market can get loud and that is because it is so popular with locals and tourists alike. It is similar to the food court at a local mall, and we all know how noisy a place like that can be. But overall, Heights Public Market is an excellent way to sample food and drink from local establishments and it is perfect when you’re with a group and no one can agree on the type of restaurant they want to visit.

Awesome atmosphere! I’m from nyc and to me it seems like they just transplanted dumbo or Williamsburg here to tampa. Very hipster vibe here which I actually enjoy. A lot of personal art pieces and vendors with soaps, oils, wood work, clothes and purses as well as tea, coffee and combucia. We had a brunch like meal at steelbach that was really cool and delicious. Waterfront view is gorgeous and lots of room to walk around and sit and have a rest. Live music being played was very enjoyable. It was very busy on Sunday after 11 am which we expected cuz it’s 82 degrees and middle of February. Lots of places to grab a beer or cocktail, tea or coffee. Loved the experience and looking forward to going back again in the evening since rocca was closed and didn’t open till 5. I’ve been told it’s the best restaurant around.

I recently moved from NYC and was feeling a little homesick at first, when I found out about Armature Works I started going there every morning for a coffee, do some work or just walk a bit. They have great pizzas, smoothies and coffees (that’s what I’ve tried so far and keep going back for it). Beautiful architecture, cute place to hang with friends, take your pets or just walk around.

I love going here when I visit the Tampa area. The food is so interesting and it is such a fancy atmosphere. It’s like a food court, with counters on the outside and open seating in the center. You walk up to a restaurant counter and order, they’ll give you a buzzer. Then you can sit in the open areas inside or outside. There are a bunch of different restaurants that specialize in things like Asian, vegan, bbq, Mediterranean and so on. I also saw a huge bar area if you want a drink. It’s a great place for foodies that want to try a bunch of different dishes. There is a parking lot north of the building for easy access. Outside is a playground if you want to bring kids or you can go for a stroll at the river front afterwards.

Really liked this place, giving 4 stars simply because we haven't had a chance to partake in more places. Came here for breakfast. Graze was AMAZING, the sandwiches are definitely worth it. Hope to come back and explore more. Update 2/26/18: have been here several times now. Coffee at Union is good, and no matter what you get at Graze it's delicious. Have yet to eat any lunch or dinner, but this is quickly becoming a favorite hangout of ours. Plus the views of the river front are great.

This might be one of the best places to eat in Tampa. There are so many options to choose from and everything we tried was excellent. Wait, $5 parking? For a food court? That was the cost to park near the property and it was perplexing because I've never imagined paying to park at food court. After seeing what Armature Works and the surrounding area had to offer, it was well worth it. We got the tacos from the taco stand (I can't remember the name, I do apologise.) Let's just say, we left wanting more. Did I mention the surrounding area? Right outside the massive building is a faux lawn of relaxation right on the riverside with a path that takes you right to the downtown riverwalk. Having been on the riverwalk plenty of times, I did not know it led to this gem. But I am happy to now know. So go grab a drink, some food, unwind and enjoy your day at Armature Works. You deserve it!

Traveling for business and a local told me to check this place out. I love food halls. There are so many cool places to try and this one had plenty of unique offerings. I tried the bbq place and love the meat and the sauce. They even gave me a couple samples of some meat they were cooking. The service was great. I also tried the coffee place. They have some cool twists on coffee drinks and many standard coffee choice too. The coffee was really good and the micro has was delicious.

Many food vendors you can chose from poke bowls, ramens noodles, pizza, bbq, empanadas, ...coffee bars ( coffee beans), wine bar..., cute little flowers shops, snacks bar. That way, very one get whatever he/she wants. Love the outdoor with river view, kids friendly place, have table and chairs where you can enjoy the food and the view, also you can walk along river walk. Price: I think it reasonable price, depends what you want, it can be from $0-20 ( free water machine that makes cold sparks water, fresh water) But it’s worth it with all experiences, ( Tampa has not has it before). P.s I sure weekend is very crowded and overwhelmed sometimes, so if you like more enjoyable, relaxing then I would recommend for afternoon weekday, great view to watch sunset and enjoy glass of wine or beer with tasty food.

This old factory, which originally produced armatures for motors (one of my pictures shows some armatures), has been restored and turned into a dining and imbibing establishment in the heart of Tampa Heights on the banks of the Hillsborough River. There is off street parking for which you must pay $5 but you get a coupon for $5 off at any establishment in the Works for anything, so that's okay. There is usually live music all weekend and seasonal activities, such as Santa Claus. There is one bay that has textiles and soaps for sale, another with plants and baked goods. Everything else sells food and drink. The prices are mid range to higher, so bring lots of dough if you decide to go.

Great place to eat and relax. There is a ton of different restaurants to eat at. We tried the sushi spot and it was delicious. The Japanese draft beer sapporo was ice cold. I also saw a taco spot, burger place and couple ice cream/donut places. Nice large open bar with full liquor. There is many tables and chairs you can sit at. The entire atmosphere is great. They also have wipes at most tables so you can wipe down before you sit and hand sanitizer. We even had our trays picked up by employees who circulate the area to try to keep it clean for all the patrons. I must say it's a very chill ambiance and it's great for all ages with beautiful views of the river and downtown Tampa open to public. The Christmas decorations are super cute and they have a giant Christmad tree you can take pics with.

This is the namesake bar at Armature Works. There is some social distancing taken place at the bar area and is first come, first served. Service was pretty good for it being pretty busy as well. I ended up selecting the Rock n' Rye. It was a good drink, but was served in a plastic cup which was a little tacky for the cocktail imo. It had a fun whimsy with the candy rocks though and doubled as a sugary treat. If I were to back, I'd probably just grab a beer.

He answered all of my questions and went above and beyond to make sure I was all set throughout my visits . The restrooms are always well kept and you have ton of Restaurants to shop from! Bake n babes being one of my favorite places to satisfy my sweet tooth! They are my favorite booth. 10/10 recommend coming here . The only issue I had is the dj. Sometimes the music blast so loud . Just opened, a renovated Teco streetcar garage. They have kept all the old feel of a classic Tampa building and made improvements. A huge warehouse of brick and cement, it's gorgeous. Armature Works dates back to 1910 and was once the storage and maintenance facility for Tampa Electric’s (TECO) streetcars. Developers Chas Bruck and Adam Harden of SoHo Capital, envisioned a modernized neighborhood hangout for Tampa’s waterfront community and a national destination aimed to attract visitors from near and far. Over time, each piece of the 50-acre riverfront property was acquired with plans to create the Heights. The Heights will offer entertainment, work space and shops, as well as a residential community. Whether you travel by land, bike or sea, the family-friendly district will connect the growing neighborhoods north of downtown to the Heights through the Riverwalk. What a good place. So many eateries. So many people are flocking to the new riverside. Just 10 years ago you wouldn't have found any one in this part of town. Beautiful view of the river and future construction it seems. parking costs $5 but you get a voucher for $5 to use at any shop. Some vendors don't accept cash is weird.. . But most people have a card any ways now a days.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! When it’s completely opened up, this is such a fun place to hang out, eat, drink and have fun!! With a gorgeous view of the riverwalk and so many good choices! They have lots of space to sit and eat. A huge turf lawn usually filled with kids running around and playing. Dogs are allowed on the patios. WiFi isn’t great there, so when I go to work on my computer I usually end up using my hot spot. Other than that it’s a great place to enjoy lunch, dinner, a cup of coffee or just meet new people! The roof top bar is pretty awesome too.

This is a great place. I absolutely love it. It is a huge warehouse that has been turned into a small City of bars, eateries and snacking places. It is quite big and right now is the best hangout palace for corporate and working people in downtown. The parking close to the place is paid and is hard to get. But there are lot of parking spots if you are willing to walk a little. Even families can come out and have a good time here and they seem to too. The karagga chicken is a must have . There is one sushi place which is quite good too. The bar on the right side as soon as you enter is another one you got to try.

Good authentic food spots to choose from. Absolutely no complaints about the food or the food options. All are great ab delicious. As for the atmosphere: We’ve been coming here for years. But our last visit really left a bad taste in our mouth. At 9 pm security was telling us we can’t stand in the parking lot, saying good bye to our family. Told us we need to go off property if we wanted to “hang out”. As some of us were walking to where we had parked, a elderly man’s car was broken down and needed a jump. The same security guy made a scene and wouldn’t let us help the gentleman out. Nor was he willing to the help the man either. What ever robo coo has the handle bar mustache, really needs a lesson in kindness and human decency. After tonight, I’m not sure we will be returning to our favorite local restaurants.

Was killing time here during a late morning before a flight. I found a good breakfast sandwich and coffee at a small vendor in the food hall, ate at a nice table, then went gift shopping at AW Mercantile afterwards. The food spaces, gift shop, outside patios, and bathrooms were all nice and clean here. And the views from all the different outside seating areas near the river were lovely. I even saw a dolphin surface twice from near the sea grass in the river bend during a lull between boats!!!

This upscale cafeteria/food market and reminded us of the Ponce City Market in Atlanta. With common seating both inside and outside, this is a great place to go with multiple people where everyone can chose a different cuisine. Some of the vendors can have very long waits and be a little pricy, but all the food we had from Zukku and Cress was delicious. It is within walking distance of downtown via the Riverwalk.

Great venue with lots of food and drink options that should satisfy every taste. The high ceiling and sky lights along with exposed beams and ducts give you the sense of walking into one huge loft space with lots of seating available to stop and people watch and soak in the way the light adds to the experience. I would also add that the men's restroom was not only spotless, but the architectural detail given to its design was really remarkable. It was one of the most impressive public restrooms that I have ever visited.

This venue has some of the best food offerings I've seen. It is uniquely a place where I can find good options which are both healthy and tasty. In particular I enjoyed a bowl at sukku - absolutely fabulous. Unfortunately, the ambiance in general is overtaken with very loud music. So much so that in order to have a conversation with someone I had to shout. It's really a shame as it's an attractive place with lots to offer.

The decor is a modern-chic, with very well done food stands and facilities, serving a wide variety of cuisine, ranging from Mediterranean to Cuban! The food is very well cooked, no matter the stand. You will find quality everywhere you turn! They even have a shop for clothing items and furniture. These wares are also themed as the decor of the restaurant. I highly recommend giving this shop a little visit, but be sure to come earlier-it closes well around the evening. The facilities are large, and offers a lot of space for people to move around. It also has an outdoor patio adjacent to the space, that is pet and vehicle friendly (scooters, skateboards, roller skates/blades, bicycles), and has an outdoor bar house on the property. It is also looking out on the water, and has very nice views! My only problem is that small servings of food can cost upwards of $10, as the food can get a little pricey. Little tip: Try coming at around the evening. Even though the crowds might be slightly larger and the shop inside will most likely be closed, everything looks a lot cooler, and there will be lights on!

Armature Works is a very cool and interesting place. I came here for an insurance seminar and was very impressed. The style of the reserved room are chic and vintage with the walls made out of bricks and modern design. Breakfast and lunch were handled by AW. Breakfast was a limited menu of fruits, muffins and croissants but it was good and lunch consisted of sandwiches, salads and potato fried chips and I must say, everything was absolutely delicious. The chandeliers in the room were gorgeous and it can actually open up to the courtyard for a big party if needed but this event did not consist of that but it was an easy walk to the courtyard and restrooms. Restrooms were just outside of the room and there were two different restrooms that you could use. The big one had about 10-15 stalls and the other was 5 stalls and that was nice for an event of 200 guests. There is also a bar and store inside AW. All in all, it was a great venue and my first time there and it definitely caught my attention and I plan to use this venue for future business and personal events.

What a great spot for people to come together and feel alive. This Bazaar has great food, an amazing location, and really feels like it has its finger on the pulse of what young people want. I had this sushi bowl, and it was simply fantastic. Keep in mind - this place is loud, has a lot of energy, and is cafeteria style. I think those are its strengths, and it leans well into them.

My wife and I Loved this place and will definitely be back. Such a great place to end a long day on the Riverwalk. The place was ROCKING when we got there (there was a fair across the street and apparently there's a night club upstairs who's line reached all the way downstairs). It is definitely the fanciest food court I've ever been to. Whatever your palate, I'm sure there's something here for you. The barbecue I had there was delicious and I feel horrible for not remembering the name of the place. I will be back though and will definitely write them their own review. We look forward to tasting and reviewing each kitchen in there, so stay tuned.

It was nice scenery and a great social area. Today was very busy and hardly any walking room but my daughter and I ate (we shareed a table since there was no empty seats) and walked around and took many pictures! Even my 10 y/o daughter was impressed by the scenery and thats not an easy task! I think that because it was so crowded, it made it harder to see what all you can do there or whats available to eat. Overall, we had a nice time today and we will come back again.

For the previous 4-5 years, Armature works has been my favorite place to go, I've spent many days per week working from my laptop and enjoying all that it has to offer. I even utilize this location to hold social gatherings and to meet with clients. It has been the #1 place I recommend to anyone visiting the bay area. It's becoming very unfortunate that ownership has been incorporating new ways to nickel and dime their customers. Since Covid, they have taken away their water dispensaries, leaving one water fountain and requiring guest to purchase bottles. They started charging for wi-fi after 2 hours. They then started charging customers for parking in their main lots even during mid-week slow hours, but they at-least left the parallel parking free of charge for those who don't mind walking. But here we are, as of this week they are taking away the free parking and adding pay-by-plate parking for the remaining parallel parking spots. This is unfortunate for us regulars who use this beautiful space to work from and hold gatherings. I spend money on the food and coffee vendors almost every time I come, but now I will have to spend a minimum of $10 in parking every time I visit, and have my guest do the same? I understand it's a business, but it's also a beautiful place to bring the community together. Many of us are going to be forced to bring our regular business to coffeeshops elsewhere due to ownership charging for parking everywhere.

Becoming a wonderful spot to eat and hang. People chilling outside walking their dogs, hanging with friends. The options inside require repeat visits due to the diversity of food choices. But get the cuban ice cream sandwich, it's in the ice cream shop...and get it with coffee or guava ice cream. Next level stuff there. You can try the high end restaurants, or go with the food stalls and mix it up if you want. I had the aforementioned ice cream sandwich, the yucca fries, street tacos and karage chicken, in that order. You can burn it off walking the Riverwalk afterwards!

Excellent location. There's a great selection of food and beverages available. It's a good idea for out of towners because there's a little something for everyone to choose from. We like to get a drink and walk around outside by the water, and walk along the river walk after we eat. The rooftop bar, M. Bird, is great and has lovely views. Armature Works is also close to other restaurants/bars and it's ideal for bopping around a little bit and experiencing them all. They also have a lot of events (yoga, car shows, markets, movies on the lawn, etc) that are fun to enjoy and most of them are free to attend.

The lemonade from the southern “soul food” is great though. You have to pay for parking which i think is ridiculous for the over priced restaurants. If you want to take nice picture this is the place. Other than that don’t waste your time until there is change in the food.

The Florida Orchestra played inside and I loved it. There was a wedding there one Saturday. Even fireworks. It's the new "place to be" in Tampa now. With that being said I will add that it is too crowded inside the building. Trying to walk through the crowds to get food is a task. Parking is not too bad and the price is ok.

I love the idea of Armature and glad it exists. It’s really cute inside, but it’s also VERY crowded. It’s basically a glorified food court. I love some of the restaurants inside, like Cru, but they’re working with very small kitchens so the food just isn’t as good. I do enjoy sitting on the lawn with a cocktail though, or just walking by with my pup.

Lots of small restaurants with excellent food and drinks await you at the armature works. This place is a converted industrial building which gives it a cool modern feel... almost bohemian in its "revived old factory" feel. The outdoor area is adjacent to the wonderful tampa Riverwalk and has lovely wide open areas to sit and relax. As far as I can tell, bikes, scooters and roller skates are all allowed so that also makes for a fun day out with the family.

I went on a trip to Tampa and finally for a long time been wanting to visit an event held by indie flea. Armature Works was such a cozy place and the restaurants were all so hard to choose from. Indieflea displayed stands from hand crafted, self business owners, unique products, and art! I had an amazing time, met a lot of artists and supported them by posting or purchasing. I had a great time engaging with the community of Tampa and their unique indie side. If I'm in the area I will defitnately check out any other events and Armature Works Its reminded me of City Place in Georgia.

We had a great experience at Armature Works. Definitely worth checking out whether your a local or from out of town. There's a vast array of food options, can't hate them all. We ordered from the ramen spot and it was great, followed by some ice cream. This place has a lot going on and seems very trendy. Great views of downtown Tampa and access to the Riverwalk. Lots of parking nearby which some is free as well as $5 valet which comes with a $5 coupon for food.

This is as fun area to visit with plenty of bar and food attractions. The river walk was as bit bland, but it might be nicer on a cool evening. Be aware, almost none of the venues accept cash, so you'll have pay by swiping your card onto random cellphones and tablets. This kind of sucks and it isn't generally posted so it will probably be too late when you find out.
