Reviews of Arco Iris Cafe
Cuban food … First time for dinner last night … We were thinking what to eat n suddenly decided to go there since we were just passing by this restaurant. This is very close to my home n I have seen this but it was the first time I have been there. We seated in a cubicle n it was bit uncomfortable coz we didn’t have enough leg space n also it was bit hard for me to understand when the server explained the menu since I’m not fluent in Spanish. I ordered “Russian Style Fish”. It came with two sides. Food was ok for the price … We received a quick service …
The food was truly amazing! The steak was perfectly seasoned and tender. The deviled crabs were to die for!!!
Love this place for Cuban food. The Pollo Saltiada is some of the best around (cuban stir fry) $12.95. Comes with 2 sides. I get the yellow rice which is always cooked perfectly, and the Spanish bean soup. All meals come with some buttered cuban bread which is great to soak up the sauce from the Saltado. My friends always get the baked chicken and swear by it. Come check it out to get a taste of Tampa.
Amazingly 42 very happy customers and one very good and very fast server! Great Food!
First time for us and everything was amazing, we had the Cuban sandwich, pork roast sandwich, fried pork with tostones, cortadito, espresso. The service was great, no waiting time. Our favorite place to go for breakfast when we are in the Tampa area
It was pretty good. Service the best & decor as well as atmosphere. It was long time since been there & more remodeling fix up since the 1st or so fixing. Loved the paintings on wall, tables, etc. The masitas pretty good & morro, etc. I recommend more then the stake, but I'd like to try the full one one day maybe, though even if other was paying idk, I rather go other place, but I recommend for others nearby. Small business deserves it more then other nearby like the Teresita. Always go to Latin places. I have not been able to try the other place at corner from them though. I was curious about it & missed out in a $5 off coupon, cuz depression, etc not get out. 😩 I tried a piece of the stake my brother got. I only liked it was thin soft like I like it visually & texture to bite chew through, but but salty style seasoning of marinade etc Ig, but not bad just I've had better I think though once another place I think at fiesta plaza restaurant the stake there was like that taste too. I wish they did their fried sweet plantains like he Asians do it how it should be done. Food court at Westshore mall. Sorry & a shame no lattin Cuban place gets it perfect or right. Not even close. Only got one small piece was a bit ripe soft. The rst we're not. At least wasn't super hard like in extra portion order. It was a treat that his friends took us to. I only have pork on New Years eve or December. Sometimes Nov & maybe in July during my bday month. That's it. I stated away from rice a long while , but at home it's the longest lasting staple so I have to buy it & pasta, etc cuz poor, etc. Only go out on certain occasions & way less to none cuz of Covid depression worries stuck inside my rented dwelling. I wish they had refill tab instead of $2.11 etc can of soda. It tastes better like cuz the ice idk then at home or in restaurants, but it left me wanting a bit more. Ik is not good for you & having cans home too last few months, etc & all the sugar we have in all foods or pkgs though I don't buy allot still plenty every ingredient just studied it in a online bought course for $17 & just finally plated most Al videos & read the PDF downloaded pucs, etc & book of few recipes hope to try some I like the sound of like smoothies, etc, but all chemicals are basically sugar or turn into it like starch, pastas, potatoes, frozen foods, etc. I wish could eat alive foods just veggies, etc , but I did buy some organic, etc whatever ground beef & stir fry tiny 1lb or less I think expensive meat on Amazon to try yt. Usually I get lowest possible & chicken mostly, but this I had to try fur rn. The rest of my lifestyle doesn't allow for healthier like we others or rich do etc, but at least do this one time cleanest beef poosible.
I was introduced to this spot years ago and it's my favorite cafe con leche in town. Service is always great and cheap. Love taking out of town friends here for a taste of West Tampa.
Great food and nice people. Definitely we will be going back!
We went back and had a great bean soup.
Okay Cuban food, but not nearly as good as it used to be. Arco Iris was probably the best Cuban restaurant in town for decades. Not much to look at but terrific food, generous portions, friendly people. I hadn't been there in about three years, went back today. Still generous and friendly, but the food was disappointing, fairly bland, not well prepared, not well seasoned at all. The caldo gallego might as well have come from a can, and the bistec salteado was really bland, mostly just seasoned with the juices from the beef (which wasn't seared well) and a little vinegar. I really miss how this place used to be, maybe they need a new chef. Sorry.
We went there on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The food was good, but our waitress wasn't very attentive or very friendly. She never checked on us through out our meal. She came to the table to deliver the food and saw my water was empty. She never came back to fill it up. When my husband caught her attention to order another side, both of our water glasses were empty. It was only when she came back with the extra side my husband had to request more water did she fill the glasses up again. The food was very good, except hubby thought his chicken empanada was a little dry. My pork was very flavorful, but saltier than I'm used to. ( Hence the two empty water glasses) Overall we had a nice experience. Will we go back, probably not. Do I recommend it? I recommend you give it a try and form your own opinion. Although I highly highly suggest ordering the sweet plantains. They are some of the best we've ever had so far.
We have finally found our go-to Cuban fix! As Miami transplants, my boyfriend and I are part Cuban and therefore snobs when it comes to finding the perfect Cuban spot. We’d heard of this restaurant for sometime and finally gave it a shot. We were shocked at just how delicious the food was! I had the masitas de puerco with moros y maduros- the masitas were OUT OF THIS WORLD! The juiciest and most flavorful I’ve had in a very long time. My boyfriend had the vaca frita with arroz blanco y maduros- the vaca frita was really good. The maduros were perfectly made and the moros were just as tasty as any other Cuban place. We paired our delicious meals with a delightful mamey shake that was thick and creamy; it really hit the spot! Our server, Pedro, was a delight as well. He was very funny, nice and energetic. We’ll be making the 45 min trip here over and over again, it’s definitely worth the drive.
Wonderful neighborhood family run restaurant. Great Cuban food reasonably priced. Totally enjoyed it.
Best food, excellent service. I love it.
Authentic Cuban Food. Reasonable prices and the food is excellent. I highly recommend this small little place.
A great little local Cuban joint. Friendly service but not always the fastest. The food choices are your standard Latin fare. They have daily lunch specials posted. I had one of my favorites, Picadillo with rice and plantains. Cooked homestyle. It's served with some Cuban bread. Had a Malta India. And finished the meal with a great cup of Cafe con Leche.
One of the best, friendliest and most authentic Cuban restaurants and cafes you'll find in all of Florida, let alone Tampa! And they always have the coolest seasonal decorations!
Amazing service and authentic food. Very Delicious! I can't wait to go back!
I've only gone for breakfast but always a pleasant atmosphere with great service.
So if you simply drive by this place you would never want to go in. I was dragged here by a friend. The outside looks very worn and old. Looks like a dive. Once you get inside though the place looks much nicer. This is your classic "hole in the wall" restaurant that delivers. Some of the best Cuban food you'll find in Tampa. Best Cuban Sandwich I've had here and I've tried many. Don't be scared. Go in!
This a cafe and restaurant. This is different restaurant who has the similar name. We like to give it a try. They have good Cuban sandwich. Other than that, the Cuban cuisine is good here also. I would start to say this is very affordable restaurant. I can get meal same price like Mc Donald and is full cook meal. Go figure.
I have ordered the Vaca Frita with two side of sweet plantains and the collar white bean soup. The soup is really excellent. The plantains did not over burn. Perfectly prepared. I have order my Vaca Frita extra crispy which mean burn a bit. When the flank steak burn, it taste better.
Our time here is great. This was the second restaurant stop of the night. We are not really hungry but to see what they have. Good service. The only thing I can say is only one server entire night. I think is overloaded for her. But she got it and very good on handling it.
It’s not fancy but the food is always good here.
This is the real deal! Awesome Cuban food reasonably priced.
Great food and family owned and ran. Such a Tampa hidden gem! Stop in and have lunch, but make sure you’re early because it gets packed! 🤤 …
Great food, quick service and felt like I was back in Miami. Love the bright and home/community feels.
Quick service and friendly staff. Everything was tasty!
Awesomeness. Fantastic job 👏 👍 👌 is words that can't express how good it is to me and I know you're not going to be disappointed with this address 😀 👍 🙂 …
Best Cuban food you'll ever eat.
I really like the place, because the food is good, but also the location of the cafe is convenient. They were closed but the new owners open in faith. They are struggling and we expect they will succeed. Why? There are a lot of clients who comeback and enjoy the place. Groups of people, friends, couples or just men from their job to get breakfast, a daughter for sharing a good time with her father and even ladies alone to relax and enjoy each other. And what I like most, not noisy.
Thank you for your service. Keep working.
The best food and the prices are amazing. I will be back.
Unfortunately not as good as I was hoping, cold soup, and long wait to get our orders,
Great Cuban food, reasonable price
Always a good experience picking up food there. Unfortunately, dining in is not an option for us and they have too many customers who are without any protocol for safety. No outdoor seating to avoid it, so we just pick food up pretty regularly.
i’ve been coming to the arco iris my entire life, best cuban food ever! it always reminds me of home, this place is the best. maybe it is not the best in terms of atmosphere and sometimes the service is not too great but any food you order will be heartwarming and delicious. i got a lot of love for the arco iris, i highly recommend giving this place a try if you’re looking for some legit cuban food. i’ve eaten just about everything off the menu, great soups, delicious entres, fried rice, and papa rellenas. they’re the best local cuban joint i know of, i’ve lived around miami and here in tampa, and i’ve tried to find somewhere like the arco iris but always failed. 10/10 cuban restaurant.
Purchased 2 Cuban sandwiches for take out. Enjoyed the food. One small critique this a family restaurant the ladies restroom needs a changing station in their for infants and small children.
We LOVE this place. You have to get their Cuban pizza!
My favorite place as well as my family for generation we've been going there. My favorite is their ropa vieja and Chinese shrimp special fried rice. Cafe von Leche with their bread and butter they bring out. The black beans frijoles negros👍 …
Authentic Cuban food. Very casual restaurant. Very affordable menu. Some of the best baked chicken I've had. Authentic chicken fricassee. Cuban sandwiches are okay no salami a little bit of rost pork. But the food is definitely worth it.
New spot for my Cuban style cooking finally. What a great find. I love that it's clean and spacious dinning. Drove past it one day on our way to another spot to eat both fortunate and unfortunately at the same time when we couldn't get a table at our original destination we were able to eat here.
The food is absolutely awesome. I had the shrimp dish that was great but the portion was too small for the price (7 medium shrimps for $14.99). Every other item on the menu was priced perfectly.
Service was standard. I wish our server spoke more understandable English and had better knowledge of the food and specials (could had been the language barrier).
With this place being closer to home we will be back for sure.
Amazing! Delicious food and big portions at a great price!!
Great place to meet with family and friends. We stayed quite a while and they never tried to rush us out..Good food in a very friendly place It’s like everyone knows each other and Spanish and English speaking friends go there often I give it 5 stars for a grate place to have Cuban coffee and bread or a full breakfast or a nice lunch with friends or family .
Excellent homemade soups, reasonable prices, authentic Cuban food, very friendly staff.
My fish was not super fresh... It had a fishy taste.
We felt rushed by the waitress and she would not let me order items I requested...out was weird.
We have had great meals here, but I guess things were a bit off this day.
The food was pretty good, I had the milanesa, everyone else had Cubans. Mine came out 1st. And the rest took longer. The establishment was clean, also bathrooms were clean. Service was okay. It didn't quite make 5 stars for me since the food was the best. It was just okay.
Always great food and quick service! Love their fried rice and Cuban cheeseburgers!
Absolutely love this place! I was so sad when they closed their other location down but so glad they had another spot! The servers are always fast and have a smile on their face! Ran into the owners even working there! Shows they really care about their customers!
Food is to die for!!
I live in Las Vegas. And I went to Tampa because I like Clearwater Beach. When I arrive to Tampa Airport I put in google "Cuban food" And Google give some Cuban restaurants in the Tampa area. But I chose this restaurant at random. It was difficult for me to park. It was Sunday and there were many people in the restaurant. I was attended by a man who look like manager and he looked for a place to sit. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich that was good and the Cuban coffee too. I liked the restaurant. And I also liked that there were many countrymen of mine there. The atmosphere was good. I plan to return on another visit to Tampa.
Food was great. Server was slow to bring items I asked for. Had to go up to front to remind her. Room was not full. We were there at 3:30.
Service was good, food was phenomenal, prices are very reasonable. Two people for lunch with left overs to take away only came to $30.10. All employees were cordial and speedy!
This place is a hidden gem! There is no real advertising in the area and it's not much to look at, but the food and service is amazing. Prices are very reasonable. I got a full sized Cuban sandwich for $3.50. My family and a friend (6 people total) ate for under $40.
My fav place for breakfast and lunch. Sandwiches are fire 🔥 and their coffee is the best in my opinion. You can literally get lunch for 2 and have leftovers for $30 cannot beat it. I recommmend their fried breaded fish, yellow rice and garbanzos. Can eat it everyday. …
Ordered Cuban sandwich and a cafe con leche to go. The coffee was so so but the Cuban was delicious will definitely be back!
Delicious food, great ambiance, and the friendliest staff around. Best home cooked Cuban food in Tampa. Highly recommended.
The food here is good. They have a great menu with plenty of Cuban cuisines to choose from.
It’s hard not to choose my favorite meal the “ropa vieja” since they make it well. The sandwiches are really good too.
The customer service lacks in the excellence category. Some servers are great some are bad. If don’t speak Spanish it may be a challenge getting exactly what you want as it happened to my wife.
Overall it’s a good experience.
Friendly people and great local Spanish food!
Such a delightful selection of Cuban appetizers and entrees. Everything to get your taste buds popping. My personal favorite is the lamb shank as I am a connoisseur of these with delicious sauce ask for extra sauce. The crispy chicken as excellent as is the pork baked chicken and many of the other dishes including the Russian fish.
Picked up for takeout. There is some really good ropa vieja here. Also found the empanadas to be quite delicious. Everything was wrapped up nicely and did not fall apart on the car ride home. If you are not familiar with the restaurant, parking can be a bit of a challenge as you may only find parking in a lot just East of the restaurant. Once you know it is there, it's a breeze to get in and out. Definitely great food here. Friendly staff.
Food is good. Parking space? I would say I found one right behind the restaurant. The cleanliness could be improve... the seats were greasy, it seems customers do that but the staff should do some clean after they leave. No napkins on the table unless you ask. Good thing is it was open when other Latin restaurants were close.
The best cuban toast and swiss cheese in a long time! Size of the cuban sandwich my friend had (loved it). And the cafe con leche was top. Not crowded. All respectfully masked. Waitress very pleasant. I ll return!
Food was good. Had Cuban & split pea soup. Mom had Cuban & collard green soup. Only complaint was meat was cold. Would have been even better if warmed all the way through when pressed. I would definitely go back.
Considering it is a different location, lost a little of the old school ambience. However the churasco, Chuletsa, caldo gallego, fried rice and flan were all excellent, as good as ever. This a really good place to enjoy Cuban cuisine.
Very busy during lunch hours, but our server was nice and food came out pretty quickly. I had the palomilla steak with yellow rice and plantains it was delicious. The steak was just not covered in cilantro like I an use to but the onions were on top just not minced but it was tasty. No compliants and the food was a good price as well.
This place, is the best everything I’ve had from here is nothing but quality and good service. And for the people complaining about the lady that answers the phone, shame on you, she has to answer phones, take counter orders and prepare to go sandwiches, all at the same time. So have some patience and compassion. Quality cannot be rushed. The world does not revolve around you, no matter what your parents told you.
One of my favorite places for Cuban style cuisine and coffee. Soups with plantains are great and always hot. Sometimes the wait staff encounters a language barrier but that's part of the whole experience. Good place!
Been coming here for yrs..always good food
And reasonable prices.
Staff is always nice and pleasant.
One of my favorite cubans in the Tampa area
First visit, enjoyed the food and coffee.
I really can't find a single negative thing to say about my experience. Excellent service. Good food and very nice environment. Would definitely recommend people coming here. Not too bad for fast good. I will be back soon. Just wish it was all-you-can-eat buffet. That would be amazing. One best place in town happy family a happy life
Best Cuban food in town. Daily specials are fresh and authentic, just like moms cooking. Cafe cubano is consistent in richness and flavor. It's a Great after dinner finish.
We love the rich cultural exchange, friendly people, neighborhood vibe. Our 3 year old granddaughter loves it too. A very good menu, ample portions, reasonable prices and more than one location, put it on our go to list. Excellent wait staff. Definitely a Tampa must.
Missed the one on Columbus but love this one too
The most delicious Roast pork I have had in long long time.
Amazing Cuban sandwich! Love it! Definitely going back
Great Cuban dishes that taste like my Grandmother's! They serve big portions of very flavorful food for a good price. Meals come with complimentary buttered and pressed Cuban bread that melts in your mouth!
The food was very good. Had the beef stew and the ropa vieja. Both were delicious along with the black beans and rice. Ordered the fried yucca. It was definitely from a frozen box... not fresh. Totally enjoyed the food. The waitress was nice enough. A little impatient and wasn't too interested in us bc we didn't speak Spanish with her. She wanted to get back I guess to her regulars or friends. Overall, I'd go back for the food and hopefully, a little better service.
I have visited this restaurant for years. Took my grandkids (they are now grown), daughters and guests. I have pure love for their food and the personal attention that you receive. Casual atmosphere but yet elegant at the same time.
If you want great Spanish food at a great price this is that place. This is a West Tampa staple I have been eating here for 30 years and never had an issue . Great cafe con leches ,the service is always great and you get a ton of food for the money . I try to bring anyone who visits Tampa here at least once .
I went around 2. Pretty fast service and I received my food within five minutes. Obviously that means it was already cooked in large quantities and then just doled out throughout the day, but it still tasted pretty fresh. Cost me $8 and I took half home for dinner.
One of the best little secrets in W. TAMPA when it comes to Latin Cafes... Whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack! You can't go wrong with the prices either... Quality meals at great prices!
I recommend the breakfast- I had 2 eggs over-easy, a pile of bacon (they have other meats available too like sausage, ham or steak)& Cuban toast plus a side of home fries (they put onions & green peppers for extra flavor!), for lunch I had the steak sandwich & fries- awesome!
I've also had the Pork chunks w/black beans & yellow rice w/plantano maduro for dinner which was excellent!
For a snack I've had the ham croquettas-
another good choice!
The menu has something for EVERYONE! The service is +10 on a scale of 1-10...
Prices are very affordable & reasonable for all the food they bring you... Don't visit W. TAMPA without stopping by...
The food is awesome and the service is great. And the Owner is awesome...
First time visiting, and the cuban sandwich was great. They were very busy (3:30pm), but pleasant and efficient. I will definitely be back. Oh, and the prices are fantastic!
This is a wonderful for Cuban food. The Carina Sada is delicious tender and flavorful. The decor is pleasant and family owned. Get the The servers are kind helpful
A great place to get the true test of Tampa's Cuban culture
The best Cuban food in Tampa, hands down. I used to live here and moved away and just returned for a visit and nearly had a food-gasm upon my return. Deserves 10 stars. At least!
Great local food.
After reading Ms Montanez and Frank’s review, I felt compelled to respond.
Ms. Montanez, you are right. The water glasses are not promptly filled, however to most of us the warm atmosphere, great Cuban food and reasonable prices compensate for that. Often times we have gone to the counter, picked up the water pitcher and filled our own glass.
Frank is not correct about the waiters hopping from one restaurant to another. The wait staff there have all been there for years. There is next to no turnover.
It is typical of most Cuban restaurants in that the waitstaff all speak limited English, however enough to take your order and quickly serve you a delicious meal. If you want detailed conversation with them and you don’t speak Spanish, then go somewhere that does not necessarily have good food but will entertain you with conversation!
We meet with our friends there every Saturday and Sunday morning and have great food and a great time! We are never rushed!
Authentic Cuban food, reminded me of eating in Miami!!!
I am a regular customer. Food is still good but service has gotten worse. Barely get checked on by the waiter or waitress. Has happened several times. Run out of beverage or something wrong w the order but no one comes to check on you once you have your food. Hope it improves soon.
Truly pleasantly surprised by the delicious food be on friendly service and true Community atmosphere! This is it there for a fundraiser for the Mike Suarez for mayor campaign fundraiser with Senator Bob Graham to support Mike Suarez. The company was as delightful as the food and it is true a community staple! I run a monthly Artisan Market Fest in the channel District in Tampa. Mike Suarez has Sean so much support for Community culture and the Arts taking the time to come out and visit Maven Market Channel District several times and spreading the word the true epitome of supporting the Arts and community!
With the closure of the other location on Columbus Ave, the Cafe has had to carry the load. Seems to be working and then some. The cafe's menu has expanded to include items that were only available at the other location like boliche. Stopped by for lunch on a weekday and lucky me I found the one remaining parking spot in the back. The kitchen is fast, the wait staff are competent and very nice. They also keep the place sparkling. Ordered 2 dinners and 2 cafe con leches to go. While waiting I had an order of Cuban toast and a cafe con leche. The to go orders were neatly packed and correctly fulfilled. Everything (boliche, puerco asado, yuca, plantains, moro rice) was very well seasoned and tasted great. Cuban bread and butter id's included with the dinners and was freshly baked and soft as a cloud with a nice crust. I only wish they had a drink caddie for the coffees but that's nit picking. All in all excellent.
The best cuban toast in Tampa and served by the very best. I feel like I am part of the family and treated like I am someone special to them even when I just order 1 Cuban toast for pickup. Thanks for all your hard work & dedication to your customers.
The food was very good. Went there for lunch with my Emmaus brothers
Everything here is very delicious. Authentic Cuban meals and sandwiches. I've been coming here for many years and this place never fails.
do not get the cuban, not pressed long enough, steak sandwich is where it is at
The Cuban food is authentic and fresh! This restaurant has a history in the West Tampa Community. This location is a second one that has been made from the same family. The gimmick of the two restaurants is that they sell Cuban food but also has fried rice. They have some combinations of Cuban food with fried rice. It's basically like Chinatown in Cuba. There's history on it. The only reason why I didn't give it a five stars because usually you have the waitresses that act like they're too good to be a waitress LOL. This location is newer and spacious compared to the first location that has been around for a very long time.
Best cuban food i had in Tampa. Prompt service , great atmosphere.
Outstanding cuban food. I used to say second only to La Teresita but honestly both are very good and have their strengths. I personally prefer the lechon asado (roast pork) at Arco to anyone in the city. This particular restaurant is smaller than the main one on Columbus and has a nice local feel (and always with the cool white Christmas tree during the holidays). Just a really great place for an authentic Tampa Cuban meal.
Best Cuban food in Tampa. In every single way. The staff is nice..although it tends to be busy all the time. You will wait. But it's so worth it.
Very good food and customer service. I highly recommend this place.
The restaurant is clean and the food is inexpensive but GREAT, the portions are a good value for the cost. Our waiter was friendly and efficient, a must go to place for authentic cuban cuisine.
Great family restaurant, the food is serve in time
And staff is always friendly always willing hear you to make it enjoying to the customer. The price
Is just right, I highly recommend, y will be please.
Best Latin food in all of Tampa. Good portions great prices. Authentic flavors. You won't be disappointed.
Great breakfast, tropical fruit shakes and fried rice. For those on WW, they have a great low point grilled chicken over a tossed salad.
Best Cuban restaurant in all of Tampa Bay. I've been going to Arco Iris for many years since they were in the old Columbus Drive location in West Tampa. I really like the new location on the corner of Habana and Tampa Bay, the restaurant is nice, clean, and cozy. The food is and always has been delicious, they have great daily specials and if you want to try something a bit different order the Cuban fried rice with either roast pork or a very tender palomilla steak, they come with a side of fried sweet plantains (delicious) the service is amazing, I always feel welcome and appreciated. It's a family run business and LGBTQ 🏳️🌈 friendly. I live in Trinity but do travel to Tampa often, no trip is complete without breakfast or lunch @ Arco Iris Cafe where everyone is welcome with a smile! I highly recommend this gem of a cafe/restaurant to anyone that has a craving for authentic Cuban cuisine.
Food is great.. Service is great also.
My favorite "go to" when only the BEST Cuban fare will do! I'm addicted to their "SPECIAL" fried rice w/ pork & plaintains...who knew their was a Chinese influence on Cuban food...Google it!
Great little neighborhood place for Cuban food plus. Favorite. Try the soups too. Simple dining.
Happy holidays!!!!
Super nice service, great Cuban food. Best for Russian fish and milanesa steak
One of my all time favorites! I visit at least 3 or 4 times a month!
If you're missing some Cuban food in your life, look no further than Arco Iris Cafe. Delicious foods, great atmosphere, good service! Can't wait to come back.
Awesome cuban experience !
This is a very nice place to eat. Food is amazing, and best of all the price. I want to thank Maria (our server) for an oustanding job. She came to our table more than twice asking us if we were ok, thank you Arco Iris cafe crew for doing such of good job!!!
Great service food is great. Curtios
I had to follow someone to this cubby hole that had the best Cuban food. I enjoyed the Pork Chunks, Black beans and rice.
I had a few bites of Filan, rich and.delicious
I’ve been to two very famous Cuban restaurants. Rincon Criollo in Queens, NY & Casa Larios On Miami Beach, FL. Arco Iris for me is among the best with great service, reasonable prices in the perfect ambiance.
Basic and real deal Cuban food that's done the up right. Place ain't fancy, but the locals swear by it. Heads up: parking can suck, so try to beat the crowd.
Good food but today, they were tricky on the bill. They charge us $15 for each breaded steak sandwich which means ( milanesa) and in the menu says $6.95.When we ask why the bill was higher than we expect the man cashier said extra charge for lettuce, tomato, cheese and bla, bla, bla.Disappionted in one way but the portions are big.The 2 sandwiches,a side of black beans and yellow rice plus 2 cortaditos supposed to be around $22 instead of $40 plus tip.Anyways next time we will try another cuban restaurant which in Tampa there are plenty, good luck on the menu
I ordered ropa vieja ,It came with sweet peas,it is good but it missed more flavor, yuca con mojo was good ,I had Moro,it missed flavor too,the chicken soup too greasy but good flavor.
In overall it was fine needs more flavor, service was good.
Always great. Lamb Shank Special Fried Rice Great Cubans and all the rest.
This place is special because the people are so wonderful!
We had lunch for the first time on Saturday Nov 5th at the restaurant. Could not image a better experience. The coffee was divine. The black beans, yellow rice, cuban sandwich and roast pork to write home anout ans a letter to the editor of the Tampa Bay Times. Another guest at the reataurant came by our table and directed us to to YouTube videos on dancing dogs.....too cute. Go, enjoy! Take your family and friends. And simply enjoy!!!!!!!
Food was like warm so a add led to reheat. Server never asked to refill drinks. Booth had huge split in seat with padding sticking through.
Needs work
There are two restaurants of this name. The one on Habana and Tampa Bay Blvd is the best. My Colombian wife says that is the best Latin restaurant in Tampa. And she is very particular. Love the black bean soup.
Have to make sure you ask what ingredients are in the food. I ordered a fried rice and thankfully my friend asked about shrimps being in the rice. Almost ate it...but thankfully I got something else and wasn't charged for the rice.
Prices $$ and Food is out of this world good. It was like our local restaurant at home. Eat here with confidence, you're going to get some of the best home style food for the money!
Very clean. Great food. Service was excellent.
The best Cuban food in Tampa. I've never even tried their Cuban sandwich as I'm always getting one of their other great dishes.
Vaca Frita here is incredible. No fancy Tables or Decorations - just incredible Cuban food!
Decent Cuban food in a town known for great Cuban food. It's a neighborhood restaurant, clean with a no frills menu and less salt in the food than other places around town.

I find this place to be very good, the food is great and I like that they make the milkshakes infront so you can see.
Great Cuban hole in the wall place. Nice on inside. The only reason I say hole in the wall because you need good luck to find a parking spot.
Very good food! Busy location . I highly recommend.
I had piccadillo black beans rice, and fried platano's with cafe con lecha. And hot Cuban bread. It was excellent, ;-) service was great and the atmosphere was very relaxing.
Very good tasting and well prepared food all of the platters had more enough food for what I paid .

Great place. Feels like a neighborhood place. Plenty of regular clients, great food. Yeah, great food. Usually go1-2 per month.
Food was great, but service was terrible. Sister and I sat there for about 30 minutes without a drink refill and when we asked for our check server disappeared for another 20 minutes and still no check. . .

I am Greek and grew up in Tampa married to a beautiful cuban/sicilian woman whose cuban mother is an exceptional cook.
Arco Iris is excellent. We meet there for business meetings or just for a cup of cafe con leche, or while nana is getting her hair done, because we love the food, ambiance, and people.
