First time visiting from Orlando and I'm glad we gave this spot a chance. Loved the fact that they had security. Ronnie was a great server to us, he was very nice and attentive. Everyone that worked there seemed like they actually wanted to be there which is something I rarely see. The food was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I loved the presentation. They played r&b and hip hop music which was a plus. We did have to wait in the line for a while but I didn't mind because it was worth it. If I could've smoked here I would've been in pure bliss just because the food and the vibes were on point. The place is urban with a bit of class so I won't bring my thuggery to the establishment and honestly it would be unnecessary. Next time I'm in Tampa, I'm stopping by

This place is the freaking bomb!!! Good vibes, excellent service and phenomenal food. We had 7 dishes and all were out of this world flavor. For apps we had Cuban Egg Rolls, Jalapeño Cornbread and Fried Green Tomatoes and all were awesome! For entrees we had the “Tell Me Something Good” seared salmon & shrimp and “Rock The Boat” Creole catfish. Both were unbelievable! For dessert we had “Rock Steady” pecan banana pudding and “Hit Different” Cuban bread pudding which are out of this world! Kudos to the chefs! This place is special!!!

My best-friend and I tried to get there early since we didn’t make reservations and heard it was a very popular spot! Luckily, we got there at a good time and got seated right away! My best-friend pointed out on their website it states no reservation brunch but in the reviews they really are pushing it and kind of makes you feel bad for not having one upon arrival, which is a little confusing. Our waiter was AMAZING and had us laughing the entire time! The food was amazing especially the devil eggs they were top tier. The vibes of the place was nice and music was not overly loud…you can tell it’s a popular spot because not even 30 minutes of us leaving out there was a long line outside of the door!! So if you go early or make reservations! Would definitely be back!

Shout out to our server Ronnie ! He was fast , attentive & organized even with our large party of 13. I was staring at the menu for a good 10 minutes trying to decide what i wanted to eat , he came & gave me some recommendations to make the decision a little easier for my indecisive self lol. He really went above & beyond to make sure we had a good time . The food & drinks were SO good & packed with flavor , i ended up taking my leftovers back to VA with me ! The manager stopped by our table to make sure everything was up to par which we appreciated. Decor & ambiance were definitely a vibe. We will for sure be back for brunch when we visit Tampa again . 10/10 !

We came here on a Sunday late morning for brunch and as soon as we walked in the vibe hit us. Nice music and art, a very cultural experience. The food was amazing! We had oxtails and grits, shrimp and grits, catfish nuggets and pork rolls for appetizers. The service was excellent. No complaints whatsoever. Definitely a must try!

I visited this restaurant with friends for a birthday brunch. The restaurant has two sides, buffet or menu ordering. We sat on the menu ordering side. The decor is bright and eye-catching. The ambiance sets a cool vibe and I really enjoyed the feel of the place. There was music playing on our side of the restaurant, the buffet side has a DJ and is more of a brunch party vibe, our menu order side was somewhat laid back. Our waitress was attentive and promptly brought drinks, appetizers and food. We had several different appetizers and entrees at our table and the over-all feedback was good. The chicken and waffles was a hit for everyone. I was full after a drink and appetizers so I ordered sides for my meal. I was not blown away by the macaroni and cheese, gouda cheese grits nor collards. Although everything seemed hot and fresh, there was this odd flavor/seasoning in each dish that made them kinda all taste the same. I sampled the chicken and waffles and would definitely order that next time. We enjoyed our visit.

The spot. The security staff was professional and funny. The atmosphere was very nice. The DJ was absolutely amazing 💯. YaYa was our server and she was friendly and very helpful. The food was southern home cooking and the chef was smooth. Everyone approached us with a very warm attitude and personality including one of the managers named Jarvis. The only things that I would work on is the restrooms and expansion because you are definitely doing it right. We didn't want to leave.

Our food was delicious and our server was very good and attentive. I loved that this is a Black owned business. I would've given 5 stars, but the alcoholic drinks were a little weak. The atmosphere and music was very nice on the lounge side, but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to enjoy it because everyone was asked to leave at 9:45 due to a private event getting ready to start.

The staff were extremely accommodating to our large party of 30! The food was excellent, with an large variety of soul food choices. The portion size of each meal was totally appropriate for the price.The music was loud but enjoyable, better acoustic baffling would help. JoJo, the security guard on duty during my visit, was VERY personable and kind to my elderly mother. The entire wait staff was professional, and attentive, anticipating our every need.

This is a black-owned business!! The atmosphere was amazing and the food was top notch. There is plenty of seating— they have a bar area as well as fancier seating on the inside with a private nook upstairs as well. The servers were extremely friendly and I received my order quickly. The food was hot, SEASONED, and absolutely delicious. I will most definitely come back to 7th and Grove in the future!

We had a great time at 7th + Grove! It was my sisters graduation in August and she wanted to go to one of her favorite brunch spots before leaving Tampa! They are always booked so on Saturday when they did not have any reservations for us as a party of 4, they welcomed us to the brunch buffet lounge area which had an array of different dishes biscuits, bread pudding, bacon, grits,shrimp,eggs, sausage, fruit, waffles and mimosas! Everything was in abundance and they even complimented my sister’s buffet meal as a courtesy to them for her graduation which was really sweet! When I’m Tampa again, I will definitely be back! Great food, music, and art.

One of my favorite dining experiences! The food was beautifully plated and incredibly delicious. “Rock the Boat” is a winner and do yourself a favor and just order the “get your roll on egg rolls”!! Our server, Ronnie was very attentive, prompt, and courteous. Would recommend without hesitation!!

Very nice restaurant/Lounge. If your looking for a nice social atmosphere, with good brunch/food your in the right place. The only thing is you'll wait in line for about 45-60 minutes before you ever make it inside. They offer small bottles of water while your waiting, which is nice. The service was good!

Amazing experience. The scenery is stunning. There is a side for eating and a side for lounging with a bar. Perfect place for casual group events and wanting to dress up. It was certainly added to the top of my list of go tos.

Ambience and decor was nice. The service was good as well. I had fried green tomatoes as a starter. The batter on them had really good flavor but overall they were just ok. I had the pasta with salmon for an entree. It could use some seasoning but after adding some salt it did the job. I didn't have an alcoholic beverage. I was with a party of 4.. gratuity is automatically added to all parties. I didn't feel that this meal was worth $75. My dinner portion was kinda small and I was hungry again that night. If you want great food meh.. but if you want to catch a nice vibe check them out.

This was not my first visit. It was my first date night here with my fiancé. We came early, tried to make it to happy hour but we missed it. We did not have a reservation but we were seated immediately. We started with drinks but passed on a starter. We had the Mariah Moscow Mule which he really enjoyed. I got the Ol’ Smokey Robinson which was supposed to be table side smoked but was not, however the drink was good. I tried the the What’s Your Fantasy which was very good, the Brussel sprouts could have been seasoned a bit more but overall it was good. My fiancé had the Let’s Stay Together. He enjoy it but said the chicken was not seasoned very well. We finished with the Rock Steady, which is the pecan banana pudding with golden Oreos with caramel drizzle. We ordered it at the end of our but it took a while for it to come out. I assumed our server forgot about it. When it did come it was not complete either. I asked the server about the caramel and Oreos, she was not sure and asked another person about it. She had them to make us another one to go. We both enjoyed the food, drinks, and the vibe but was disappointed in some of the service we received especially for $100 evening. I would return and I do recommend them, I just hope next time will be better.

My first time going to 7th + Grove and it will definitely not be my last! The staff was beyond friendly, they were down to earth they took time to actually talk to you, not just take your order go. The food was so good…my compliments to the chefs! After dinner we went next door to the “club” where they were having a day party. That was so much fun! The dj was good, the service on that side was good too. This was my type of crowd “grown and sexy” No rowdy super young people, everyone was cool and vibing. I’m not in to hookah but they do offer that also. The only negative comment I have is not all of the bathroom stalls closed, you either have to go with a friend or hope someone will hold the door for you.

First time going and the food was amazing! We had the deviled eggs w/ fried chicken on top 10/10! Peach bourbon wings 10/10! Egg rolls OMG 10/10! The raspberry jam that came with it was sooooo good! I got the oxtails with potatoes and mac 9/10. I’ve had better oxtails but it was still pretty good! My husband had the fried chicken sandwich and he loved it! He also had the Snoop Dogg drink 0/10. Unfortunately it wasn’t good! Overall very good and a chill vibe!

Always excellent food, service, and vibe. The manager, Jarvis, went above and beyond during the last visit to ensure our experience was top notch. And our server, Kamri, encouraged me to try something new and provided several great recommendations. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants.

My friend and I arrived around 11:08am for Sunday brunch and there was already a line going around the restaurant. The line moved at a decent pace though as we were already snapping pictures by 11:30am! We found a parking spot that was about a 2-minute walk to the restaurant and priced at $1 an hour. Prior to entering the lounge area security asked us how many was in our party. We told them two and there was a look of concern on his face. He went inside and mumbled something to the “hostess” who then motioned us to “sit over there.” My friend and I were confused as we did not know where “there” was, so we asked her. She told us to have a seat at the bar. The inside is aesthetically pleasing. The vibes, décor and music were on point! In the time that we were there I heard a combination of Konpa, soca and rap. I also love the fact that their items are named after popular artist and song titles. I had the “Ari Lennox” as my first drink, and it was amazing. The drink had the perfect amount of sweetness and liquor—I do not think they cheated at all in this aspect. My second drink was frozen, and I selected it because it sounded interesting. It gave me a nice buzz, but it wasn’t my favorite. The concept for the “Sir Greendown” was great—tomatoes and goat cheese just happen to be two of my favorite things. However, the execution was not so great. While the tomatoes were good, I do not think they were crispy enough. They were super soft when bitten into and I have had my share of fried tomatoes—also the tomatoes were red, not green. For my entrée I ordered the “Rock the Boat.” Gouda and grits pair so nicely together, and the creole pan sauce really brought everything together. The catfish was cooked to perfection—crispy but not tough at all. I also thought the fried okra was nice. The only thing that really put a bad taste in my mouth was the fact that the tab included a 20% lounge and service fee. Although I would have tipped 20% anyway, I thought this was incredibly tacky since we were never given a choice as to where we wanted to sit. This information was not disclosed anywhere in the restaurant or the surrounding areas. In addition, their website only mentions tax and gratuity for the brunch buffet.

Beautiful ambiance and a great concept but the execution on the food is lacking. The drinks were just ok, loved the menu names and concepts again but nothing special. We drove down from Orlando early before a concert so we could eat here before, but when we arrived we were told that they were running behind from brunch and needed to push back the dinner start time back. The manager did offer us a round of drinks on them for the inconvenience so we decided to stay and support. Everyone raved about the Get your roll on appetizer (pretty much a soul roll) so we ordered them and they were blah. Kinda dry to me. The collard greens lacked that down south country flavor and there was no cheese in the mac and cheese, just macaroni noodles. The dipping sauce made them a little better. The devil eggs didn't hit either, if it wasn't for the lil drizzle of buffalo sauce on top it wouldn't have any flavor. The catfish nuggets were probably the best thing we had. They were fresh and the remoulade sauce was good. The oxtails and mash were pretty good as well but one of the oxtails was not as tender as the other two on our plate. I wasn't feeling the fried boneless chicken thighs. They came on top of mac and cheese and collard greens. The mac was alright, had a different flavor to them but they were cheesy. Collards definitely needed some more flavor... the biggest thing that just blew me away was this black owned establishment didn't have any real hot sauce, only Tabasco. Now you can't serve soul food and not have any real deal hot sauce, that's a violation of black code Lol. Now if their food was seasoned so good that you don't even miss the hot sauce then that would've been a different story but unfortunately it ain't! My friend had the loaded gumbo and she said it was just ok. I can say that the customer service was great! Malcolm at the bar took good care of us and manager Kay went above and beyond for us. I would go back to the lounge area just to vibe but the food definitely looks better than it actually taste.

Loved everything about it! The music, decor, staff, food and vibes was everything. We went on a Friday afternoon. Service was prompt, food was hot and delicious and the drinks were great. I would come back to Tampa just to eat and chill here. After eating we walked around the Ybor strip and enjoyed a little history while walking with the Roosters lol, ifkyk. Amazing job to the owners and staff.

Can't say enough good about 7th + Grove! In from out of state and stumbled across it for brunch, best decision made the entire trip. The food was outstanding (don't sleep on the shrimp & grits), wait staff were quick and very friendly. The manager Jarvis who stopped by the table to check in was great. Overall an exceptional experience, cannot recommend it enough. Be good to yourself and just go already.

I was very impressed by the presentation and taste of food at 7th & Grove in Ybor City! It was our first time so we were a little confused about the check-in process. However, once seated the server explained the process. If you like midday after the club and you want good food vibes...this is your spot! Come prepared to spend a bit but the food was worth the price!

I went to their brunch today and I enjoyed myself so much. The whole place is a vibe. From the decor down to the food. Yes I finally outside in these streets since moving here from NY and COVID. Love the vibe but service was not great. We sat in the lounge section it took forever too get our drinks & food came literally an hour later. It was the wrong order so we had to again wait for the correct order to come by that time we were over it. It seems the waitress are on there phone more then coming to check on there tables. On the bright side drinks were good. Just wish the service was better.

For Sunday brunch there are two lines: the all inclusive buffet or the sit down a la carte menu. I chose the sit down dining room experience. Your entire party must be present before you can be seated so fyi in case you have notoriously late friends. Also they add a 20% gratuity on all bills automatically and usually just give you the card reader with the final total versus the itemized bill where you can clearly see the 20% added and will only accept two cards max for payment. Now that you have an overview, decor is beautiful, food is flavorful, mimosas are weak too much juice for my taste and the plastic flutes felt off for such a pretty place, great music, bathrooms need a full renovation, and service was average/ok - not bad but also nothing memorable. I've done the lounge and dining side and prefer the lounge side for happy hour, better drinks, better service, and they have live music.

This was the first of many more visits!!! Brought my son here for his 29th birthday and I was just floored at how great the food was!! I’m telling EVERYONE reading this review that you haven’t had soul food until you come here!! The eclectic mix of flavors and textures are impeccable and amazing 🤩 The service is on a whole other level!!! Our hostess/server Bri was on point!! She timed every course perfectly. Not to take away from any of the other servers; but Bri is someone I will ask for every time I come!!

Absolutely excellent! Ronnie our waiter was phenomenal ( especially with accommodating our 1 year old son,) B.K. with security was on it and suggested a delicious drink (The Beyoncé,) and Jarvis the manager was so kind, warm and welcoming. He even took the time out to talk with us to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. All I can say is Crown Apple with Lemonaide is D.A.N.G.E.R.O.U.S. The food is 10/10. The music, vibes and atmosphere is top tier. The Oxtail was fire. The cocktails have creative names and taste amazing. We will definitely come back. Do not, I repeat, do not sleep on this spot. Eat, Vibe & Flourish my friends!!!

Came here a few weeks ago with some coworkers for brunch and it was literally amazing. I came right at open and was supposed to meet with everyone but they all ended up extremely late but the hostess and security were super accommodating and patient. I couldn't be sat until my party was there (understandably because they are a high volume busy restaurant in ybor) but they had no issue with me sitting in the waiting area and let us skip the longgggg line outside when my party finally arrived. I had the "Before I Let Go" and genuinely was one of the best meals I've had. The chicken is so good and I've never thought of trying it with French toast before but it was a perfect combination 🖤. I wish I could remember my servers name but she was so sweet and attentive!! Im literally counting down the days till I have another chance to get brunch here again. I will be telling everyone I know to try this place from now on 🫶

Sooo 7th & Grove is a nice vibe! Love the fact I get to support a black owned business. The decor is filled with beautiful black art and greenery. I’ve gone three times and the music is always on point. The front area is the main dining area and the back is the bar / lounge. The staff have been very helpful and lively each time I’ve gone. I’ve enjoyed the food each time and will continue to return. I gave a 4 star due to the minor food mishaps. Definitely reserve a spot, as there is sometimes a wait but they do their best to keep the line moving! What was ordered: Wings / Collard Greens / Mac & Cheese / Flip The Switch / Gouda Grits Wings = Cooked as I requested - missed the extra sauce Collard Greens = Added some hot sauce + vinegar: that’s how I like it! Mac & Cheese = Yumms Flip The Switch (2 Flap Jacks + Bacon + Scrambled Eggs) = The jacks were fluffy & good / the only mishap was the eggs, they did not taste good at all, not sure what happened there Gouda Grits = None leftover

When you feel like Brunch, 7th & Grove is an outright "JEWEL" in Ybor City for a great meal with a friend or friends (especially for an occasion). Not only is the food sumptuous, but the atmosphere, the service, and the staff are all commendable, starting at the very top—with excellence. I experienced top-notch service and exemplary courtesy. I placed my order. And, although I received an appetizing meal, it was not what I anticipated. I let the waitress know, and immediately one of the owners, Jarvis, came to the rescue. He graciously greeted us, asked, listened, and then he and our waitress placed our orders. We originally wanted the "Let's Stay Together" and changed to the "Rock The Boat" and the "Other Side Of The Game". Jarvis' cordiality and demeanor were wonderful. And, both meals were fantastic. The "Other Side Of The Game" was absolutely incredible. I could not finish it all and ended up having the rest for breakfast the next day—and it tasted even better. Thanks to our waitress, Genesis, and a very special thank you to Jarvis, a great person with exceptional calm and professionalism and an even GREATER personality! By the way, I Wholeheartedly Recommend The: "OTHER SIDE OF THE GAME" A Stellar Meal...! T.O.L. 😉😎

Great experience!! Food was so delicious 😋!! I ordered the oxtail and it was so tender. It was different then regular oxtail but so good. The Mac and cheese was soo gooey and great. The coffee with vodka was perfect. My friend had peaches and cream pancakes 🥞 they were perfect. If I could give this establishment 10 stars I would. We were greated and looked after from the moment we entered. Culture!!!! They did this for the culture! The food was incredible, really it was. Everything was fun and beautiful and well thought out and modern. I could live here. We had watermelon moijitos that were one of a kind. Keep it up, I am PROUD after being here. Had dinner with about 18 family and friends this past weekend. My experience left much to be desired and I actually feel taken for. I was required to pay $100 for the reservation, which did not go towards the food bill. With that $100 fee, I was promised 2 bottles of wine/champagne. What I received was 1 $25 bottle of Belaire Rose, cold food, rice that was so hard, I almost cracked a tooth and slower than I would have liked service. I'm really bothered, the more I think about having to spend $100 up front just so my guest and I can spend more money on food and drinks that were not up to the standard advertised. I'm torn about giving this restaurant a second look or just walking away knowing I paid $130 for a 4 ounce piece of salmon and a $25 bottle of wine... cause that's all I got to eat off my plate.

This place is amazing. It is located in the Ybor city are in Tampa. The ambiance, beautiful AAA art that is throughout both sides of the restaurant, the good food and GREAT customer service is enough reaaon for you to visit this restaurant. Malcom wasn't even our server BUT he worked the room making sure ALL customers were happy and had everything they needed to make sure they had a great experience. Please give it a try, you wont be sorry.

Correction - it’s BIG RONNIE on the 1’s and 2’s! And he wasn’t he suppose to be one serving today at all! But he was our server and he’s was AMZING! We started off with the “Get Your MF’n Roll On” appetizer which was the fu*king bomb! Did not miss. The first entree we had was the “Other Side of the Game” and I have one word OXTAILS 😘 the second meal was the “All about the Benjamin’s” man it was a great time, vibe, and experience! 10 out of 10! Great spot. This was an impromptu visit so we weren't there long but plan to go next weekend. Food is delicious, definitely recommend the shrimp and gouda grits. This is a club version of brunch. They have an upscale lounge side which serves cocktails too. The only complaint I have is the music was so loud I have a sore throat from screaming at the people at my table and yelling my food order. If the waiter can't hear what we're trying to order, you've gone too high! I love loud music, but this was one or two clicks too high.

Came for brunch this past Sunday at about 1130 and there was quite the line, waited about 40 minutes before we were seated. When we walked in the music was EXTRA LOUD, as there was a DJ spinning. After screaming my order to the server there was another long wait to receive the food (42 mins), ordered bottled water and had to ask server twice to bring it, had to go get straws for the drinks after asking 3 times for those. Food was pretty good the Gouda Grits we delish! Also ordered the chicken and french toast which was very disappointing because the chicken was a thigh (not a breast, don't like dark meat) and it did not mention on the menu, had the peach bourbon and watermelon wings and could not tell the difference in taste but good flavor. The decor is very nice and overall the experience wasn't bad except for the very loud music even though the DJ was playing great songs I think if they turn it down so we can hear the server and ourselves instead of it seeming like being at the club, I would have enjoyed it a lot more. There were other menu items I would like to try but I think I'll be getting them as takeout.

First time. The place is unique. The menu is totally different and I like it. The burger was amazing. The pasta dish tasted good too as did the cat fish bites. The staff was amazing. The place was loud because of the private party next door but the music was good so I didn't mind. I took off 2 stars because the food was lukewarm and the chicken in the pasta dish had pink in it. Despite those 2 things, I still recommend this place to others who are looking for something different.

So made reservations for a party of 3 for brunch with the ladies. We visited on a Saturday. It was very busy. We were seated and the young lady Genesis came by to greet us and ask what drinks we wanted. After asking her about a specific drink on the website, she did inform us that they did not have that specific drink and that was for website purposes only. She suggested another drink, the Doja Cat. It took awhile for our drinks to come as the place was busy. We then proceeded to order. Another LONG wait as expected since it was crowded, we finally get our food. The dish was missing the pico de gallo as well as gravy and bacon. 🙄 We tell the waitress and she apologize. She insist she will at least get the bacon 🙄 by the time we finish our food the bacon comes out. The atmosphere and music was great. The waiters great. The food was ok. The service regarding food....no good. The food later got all three of us with a belly ache and running to the bathroom. Just wanted to give an honest review.

OMG!!! This is my 1st, but not my last time at 7th+ Grove. The customer service, food, and vibe is SUPERB! The manager Jarvis and our waitress Yolonda made us feel like family. My husband and I are in town for the Bucs vs Dolphins game and wanted to support a black-owned restaurant (as usual) and we have no regrets... I came here to celebrate my birthday with my friends on Taco Tuesday and I had the time of my life. Our server, Genesis, was super sweet and she surprised me with sparklers, a happy birthday sign, and a round of drinks for the table. The other servers and staff were friendly, they provided us with great recommendations, and made sure we enjoyed our night. I ate every single taco on the menu and it was totally worth it. was invited to a friend's birthday brunch at this restaurant. At first it was giving a swanky feel but as soon as I entered a DJ was playing really loud music, good music but it was just really loud. The place was packed, I ordered the pancakes with peaches and cream (it's supposed to be peach cobbler on top of the pancakes) The peaches came from a can and there was no whipped cream in the pancakes themselves were nothing to write home about. Get my check and I am charged a cake fee ($27), which was explained to me if a server has to bring a cake out to the table they charge a fee, that's it (no singing,no extra plates or silverware). okay I didn't make the reservations, wasn't even my birthday But I get charged with the fee.... interesting. Overall it's a cute restaurant Good if you're going out with some friends and don't mind yelling at each other at the table over the DJ's music or standing outside in a line to wait to get inside then you'll like this place. PS don't bring a cake

I don't know where to start. There are 2 sides to the restaurant. We sat in the side that looked like a lounge. The atmosphere was dope definitely a socializing environment. I tried everything lol. This is a beautifully decorated restaurant, so it’s a nice place to sit down and have a meal. The people here are so nice they food didn’t even have to be good for me to come back but it was really amazing too! Everything has a unique twist to it so it’s not just southern style food you would get anywhere. I had the peach bourbon wings which were delicious. Thank you to the manager Jarvis and our server Kamri for making coming all the way from Orlando to eat here worth it. We came here for a birthday party and had a blast. Genesis was our host and she was great. A few things to think about if you throw a party here. If you’re looking for food the lounge has different options than the restaurant so decide if you wanna party with bottles and eat wings (wings are the only thing you can order that is similar to a platter) or do you wanna eat then party. The $7 till 7 is not available in the lounge only the restaurant. So depending on what your goal is you may want to reserve a table in the restaurant then the lounge. Just know the lounge is more for partying not really eating. Gratuity is included in your bill so be aware of that. The staff is kinda spread thin so you may have to wait but your having so much fun you won’t really notice. Overall we had a ball. Great place to celebrate!!

7th & Grove is a soul food restaurant in Ybor City and the food is magnificent. Here is the Oxtails & Grits.The Deviled Eggs with seasoned chicken is a delicious appetizer. Also featured photo is a dish named Rock The Boat with Fried or Seared Catfish + Creole Pan Sauce + Braised Collards + Gouda Grits + Fried Okra The drinks are named after artists like Ari Lennox and of course one of the strongest drinks is this one the "Megan Thee Stallion" packs a kick with tequila for even the experienced drinker. What makes this restaurant special is the vibe and atmosphere. Sports on the televisions screens and a DJ playing hit R&B and chill vibes. The staff makes you feel at home and it has a feel like Atlanta Styled restaurants but with it's own flavor. It's quite the popular hangout spot in Tampa with events constantly going on. If you plan to dine on the weekends it's definitely recommended to make your reservations early becuase the line is wrapped around the corner on the weekends to get in to the amazing brunch vibe. I witnessed some of the most beautiful people traveling from surrounding counties to visit the restaurant on the weekend. If you live in the Tampa area or planning a visit be sure to add 7th & Grove to your itinerary.

Working with Leah was so easy and she was nothing but helpful, kind, and flexible with all my needs and requests! I usually love this place. But really troubled by their lack of glasses. They seem to run out very often and then serve alcoholic drinks(at full price) in what are essentially plastic water cups (you will see when you go). Not only is it distasteful for such a nice establishment to be serving alcoholic drinks in small plastic water cups, it's (even more disappointing) because this is a Black-owned establishment. I really would like for them to buy more glasses, as their prices are high and we-the hard working patrons deserve real glasses EVERY time we order here, not just some of the times. Thanks.

We stopped by 7th + Grove as part of Tampa Bay Restaurant Week. The vibe and décor in this restaurant are just amazing! It was unfortunate that our visit didn't go very well, as we would love to visit again to sit in a different area to enjoy the ambiance. Apparently they got a new food ordering system the day before, but our server had no idea how to use it, so everything took a long time. The service was very slow in general. When we asked about the special for Restaurant Week the server didn't know if it was still available. It turns out it was available but with a different pasta and they were out of the advertised desert, despite the fact that we were told not many people had come in to order the special.

Spacious, furniture is comfortable and straight out of an interior design magazine. I went when they were just opening for lunch on a weekday and the bathroom smelled like if it hadn’t been cleaned in a minute. Now the food, I was not impressed. Really paid to eat fries and mac and cheese, my friend did love the mac and cheese. Mt deviled eggs were ok, the fries were fries. I’d give it another try to order an entree but I’m skeptical if it’s really all for show or if it’ll actually be tasty.

I just want to say I had such an amazing experience at 7th and Grove! I love seeing a black owned business, especially in Ybor City, thrive. As a Tampa native, I am always looking for new places to try. This was my first time here, and I went for brunch on a Sunday. My friend and I did the restaurant side. You definitely want to get there early, before they open at 11, because they don’t do reservations for brunch, so the line gets long. We got there 15 minutes before 11, so we didn’t have too wait long for a table. The food was some of the best southern style food I’ve ever had. Bring your wallet! It’s not that cheap, but believe me when I say, every penny will be worth it. They play good old school R&B, some of my favorite music. Ronnie was our server, and he was so nice and attentive! Definitely ask for him if you want some of the best service. I will for sure be going here again. Such a great Tampa staple!!

Oh My God. It's rare that you go to a restaurant and everything on the menu is mouth-watering. The only issue we had was figuring out what to try. I've been wanting to go here for a long time. We had brunch and the food was delicious. I had the All About the Benjamins and loved it. Ronnie was our server and he was great. My only complaint was the music was too loud. The DJ was great and I loved the setlist but I couldn't actually hold a conversation with the people I was eating with because we couldn't hear each other speak. After the 2nd time Ronnie asked for the music to be turned down a little we were able to hear each other.

A group of 4 of us went Saturday evening and the food was absolutely amazing. We started with Sir Greendown- I don't really like tomatoes but the combination with ghost cheese and their dressing was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Rock the Boat with Salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly- very tender, the grits were creamy, and the fried okra was great. My date ordered the Welcome to Atlanta peach bourbon style and he must've loved them because they were gone before he could share. The cocktails my table ordered looked great, though I don't drink. We've already decided to come back so I can try the Fool for You egg rolls which were not available. The service was great too and the food came out quickly. Such a fun atmosphere for a Saturday evening in Ybor. The decor is the real prize though! Go check it out!

I’m usually not one to wait in line, but I will say that the food was worth standing and waiting. The line moved and our group was seated after standing in line for about 20-35ish minutes (wasn’t really tracking the time). Now the food: the egg rolls, A1. The oxtails though, fire! Mac and cheese + collards, yep go for it. I tried someone’s shrimp and grits, and also tried the French toast - those were bangers too. The service was good. Definitely recommend!

Went on a Sunday with a party of four (heard food was amazing) to the restaurant side (reservations not offered on this side) and waited in line an hour in the sun. Was finally offered water 45 min into that hour wait. While in line watched people at the end get seated before me because staff seats according to party size not where you are in line. While awaiting a seat didn't see anything that says a 20% charge would be added to bill. Wasn"t told by my server either. Then a server (not ours) walks passed our table with 75% of her behind exposed (servers were wearing hose). Didn't order that with my meal (this is not Wingstop or Hooters). 🗣Update: I took my original post down pertaining to the situation that happened at 7+ Grove! I had a chance to speak to one of the real owners Mr. Jamaris Glenn. He waisted no time responding back to my concerns about what transpired at his establishment.. He definitely made my husband & I feel secure that he nor does his other colleagues condone or conduct business in that manner with customers! Mr. Glenn rectified the situation quickly asking for all information I had about this incident. He wasn’t pleased to say the least & apologized for the behavior of said individuals! He also asked if we would bring our party of 5 back to enjoy some food & a bottle of wine on the house! I appreciate the way he handled us & the respect he showed to my husband & I! Hard time making a reservation called with no response and texted with no response for over a week; no reservation caused my group to have a long wait when we showed up however the manager Jarvis was excellent he came outside (as no real place to wait) and put up umbrellas so that we had some shade while we waited and once we got seated the atmosphere was great and the food was excellent. Just wish the reservation system was better!

I really want to give this place a 4.5. Points were taken off because the waiting system they have in place really isn’t that efficient. You just stand outside and wait in line until there’s a table ready. However, once I finally got seated the service was fun, pleasant, and VERY fast. I ordered the “Rock the Boat” meal and when I TELLLLL you. It was HEAVEN in my mouth. You can tell somebody’s grandma is either back there cooking the greens or a really good recipe was passed down! First timers party of 5 on a Friday night 8:30pm. Nice vibe but you really need patience after ordering anything. Drinks were good but it took 25 minutes to get them. Food ordered 5 minutes after drinks. Food took another 40 minutes. I would try coming on a non busy day to better enjoy the establishment. The food was pretty decent, some orders came out cold, some orders came after most of the table was finished eating. They did take the cold meal off and compt drinks. So they did try to make it right. It seemed like the kitchen couldn't keep up with the orders and the waitress weren't showing urgency when taking food orders out. It appeared to be un organized and not managed. I think the manager was between the restaurant and lounge area which was on the otherside of the wall. He might have been the only manager there. Might be best to have two so that the restaurant gets the much needed attention it deserves. Gave 3 stars 🌟 because I would try again.

Was there for dinner party for 7. We were late but they were still able to accommodate most of our orders. Didn’t get our servers name but she was very efficient AND patient to say the least. I really wanted to try the fried okra on the deviled eggs I ordered but they were all out. Was very good however with the chicken. I also had a couple happy hour drinks, wings and side of collared greens and fries. The greens were good, but very very salty. All else was tasty. After dinner and photo ops we went inside the lounge area and vibed to the music from the DJ. They held a space for us to sit together. They are very COVID conscious..taking temperatures and mask requirements. Parking best in the rear of the building.

In every review, I always list out the pros and cons so here we go: PROS: -Great vibe/ambiance -Great music! -The drinks all have catchy names. The Ari Lennox and Mariah Mule were my fave! -Seating is comfy and the artwork is unique -Love the open kitchen! -Deviled fried chix eggs were awesome! -Ox tails in the Rude Boi entree were chef's kiss! CONS: -For large parties (we had 8), they only let you use 2 credit cards. -You only get 90 minutes from start to finish. We stayed longer due to the issue of waiting on food for multiple people in my party to be re-made. Which brings me to the biggest con of our visit: - TOO MUCH SALT!!!!!!!!!!! We had half our party send back food because it just couldn't be consumed. The food was too salty! The dipping sauce for the catfish was extremely salty. The mac n cheese was very salty. When the mgr came over to talk to use, we told him to taste the food to see what we mean. -The wait staff should be leading the experience. The order of eating out is drinks, appeitizers, entrées, more drinks if needed then dessert. The waitress ordered all our stuff at once which caused delays of items. Highly recommend this be re-vamped. Overall nice place but I will need a re-do. I'm hoping this visit was just a fluke and next time will be better. Looking forward to a better experience with the food next time!

As a disclaimer, my friends and I have visited the establishment on several other occasions and had a great time. This is not about being unwilling or incapable of paying for drinks. This is about principle. If you decide to go and your bartender or waitress is Kamina, just sit somewhere else. My friend and I arrived and sat at the bar. I ordered an Ari($14) and my friend had a Mariah ($13). A gentleman at the bar asked the bartender, Kamina, to put our drinks on his tab. We sat there and talked and my friend ordered another drink, an Ari ($14). I did not order an additional drink, however, Kamina came and gave me another Ari ($14) stating that the same man ordered it for me. After the gentleman and his group pay their bill and leave, we get a tab for two Ari’s as well as included gratuity. When we brought it up to one of the other ladies behind the bar (after having paid it but wanting to sort any potential confusion) she went and got the manager for us. I explained the situation and he approached Kamina to get her side. Kamina immediately starts going off. The manager advised that the gentleman paid for our second round but not the first. Our first round of drinks did not consist of two Ari’s. When I stated that, he advised they were the same price so it didn’t matter. He stated that he wants us to be taken care of, but that he also needs his business to thrive. As to not escalate the situation, we left and the tab was paid. We got in contact with the gentleman who confirmed that he did in fact pay for both rounds of drinks. Additionally, a member of his group bought shots. When bringing the shots, Kamina told him she was going to take a shot with us. She then put her shot on his tab as well. My only assumption is that these things occurred so that Kamina could get an additional gratuity. So the establishment has gotten paid for the same drinks twice and Kamina has gotten the extra gratuity. If it was an oversight or mistake, then she should not be behind the bar taking shots and smoking weed pens if it will affect her ability to accurately run a tab.

I have been wanting to try this place out, finally was able to visit on a Friday night with a couple of friends. Service was slow and mediocre. Drinks were not as we expected. The food was good, but did not look that appealing my oxtails dish and pricey for that portion. Maybe it was just an off night for this establishment.

Eat Vibe Flourish. The slogan for 7th and grove. I loved the atmosphere. Very chill laid back vibe. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were excited to sit on a couch and eat dinner in a restaurant 🤯 loved the idea initially. However, it wasnt conditional for eating as the table was so high and the couch was so low. So as you sit you have no back support in order to eat. Also it's annoying that the entire couch has to move back in order for one to get up and use the restroom. I think if the tables we lower and wider it would allow restaurant goers to enjoy the actual idea of sitting on the coach at dinner. Now for the menu I must say I was not impressed. I expected more. They were paper menus that were soggy and kinda gross. I think if they'd laminate them like the drink menus it would be better. I ended up not even ordering food. However I did try the appetizers my husband order they were ok. The rollers were very thick and dry. I think they'd be better if they were pared with a sauce. He also ordered the shrimp and grits WHICH WERE FREAKING AMAZING!!! My daughter order a steak but it was made wrong. So we had to send it back and get . Jackie was our waitress. She was very sweet and accommodating. Long story short. Go to 7th and grove. Nothing on earth is is perfect. I'm definitely going back to try their brunch menu. It looked AMAZING!

Great music, friendly staff and a tremendous vibe! We arrived shortly after midnight and walked right in, there were a few people in line but it flowed swiftly. The admission was $15ea. for the general admission and bottle service was offered with the VIP line. The drinks were great and moderately priced. The bar staff were friendly and fairly fast considering the bar was packed from the time that we arrived! The general ambiance of the interior was a relaxed adult casual vibe. There were plenty on private section and general seating. There was plenty of security patrolling and monitoring for the mask guidelines and general safety. What I believe was upper management was constantly roving between guest and the bar, they also consistently made rounds to check on satisfaction 👍🏼 Over all we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the atmosphere! I would definitely recommend!!!

Mr. Ronaldo was knowledgeable of the entire menu and he checked on our table often to make sure our food and drinks were on point. Loved the vibe of this spot. Looking forward to checking it out again. We came for the Saturday brunch and chilled at the bar with Bevin who took great care of us. The drinks were good and my dining compadres definitely enjoyed theirs. We also sampled from their menu. I went with the Flip the Switch flap jacks breakfast. At $15 I wanted a much more wow experience. It wasn't worth the price. I'm a breakfast fiend and I've had far better pancake breakfast meals for $12 and under. So my other suggestion and maybe this is because we are now coming back to things being opened but the front seemed a bit disorganized. I used to be a host at top notch restaurant in college and it seemed like things were in a disarray. However overall I give the spot a 4 stars for a wonderful first time experience. Wait wasn't long on a Sunday mid morning, ordered Shrimp and grit cause the crab cakes were 86, but Jarvis the Manager pulled a couple crab cakes out the air and we were able to order what we really wanted. Lets be honest, the brunch sucks, the food was so bad i ate just a little. The waffles tasted and felt they were from walmart. The food was not hot just lukewarm. Now, the atmosphere that part was awesome, ibsaw black people of all shades having a great time. Nobody fighting, arguing, or shouting angrily at each other, just African Americans having a place where they can be black and proud. What other restarant you can go and everybody breaks out into a line dance of the electric slide. I was proud to be a black man. And i never felt i was going to be hurt. Great spot. This was an impromptu visit so we weren't there long but plan to go next weekend. Food is delicious, definitely recommend the shrimp and gouda grits. This is a club version of brunch. They have an upscale lounge side which serves cocktails too. The only complaint I have is the music was so loud I have a sore throat from screaming at the people at my table and yelling my food order. I love loud music, but this was one or two clicks too high.

Came back again! Once again, the food was amazing & Julia provided excellent service! We sat outside. Had a slight issue with my meal, but Jarvis handled it promptly & with the utmost professionalism & courtesy. Best brunch spot in Tampa Bay. 4/10/2022 The food is amazing!! The service is top notch & Jarvis along with the management staff are VERY accommodating! My permanent seat is on the restaurant side at the bar with Juan in the kitchen!!

Jerriett, Mr. Marshall & Team did an amazing job of providing a VIP experience from beginning to the end. From our luxury transportation down to providing additional champagne with our bottle service. Our only disappointment was not being able to experience the full menu due to a set menu for the weekend. Our food was good, but we wanted more options to choose from. The team treated us like one of their own!

The food is amazing! Shout to Juan in the kitchen he always makes my Rock the Boat perfectly! The drinks are great and they are always playing the best music! I come for brunch, lunch and dinner and I am never disappointed! Not to mention the excellent customer service! The managers are always so nice and welcoming and the other staff members are always so sweet! Camry ( I hope I spelled that right) is the best! I highly recommend!

Came today for the first time with friends from New Orleans, La. The food was excellent!!!!! Taste just like home. Ronnie our wait staff was sweet and awesome!!!! The manager Jarvis is a great guy, came to our table welcomed us and shared his experience with the restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious. I recommend this establishment to locals and visitors!!! 😊

I had really high hopes for this place. We gave the food a 7/10. It was good, but not as flavorful as we’d thought it be. The food choices are creative, and the collards were amazing. Unfortunately the service wasn’t the best. We waited for 45 minutes. We only got sat because we went on a walk because we were bored sitting in the couch… the host didn’t text us to let us know the seats were available. When we got back and saw that there were tables empty we looked at her and she sat us right away. Our waiter took forever to come over and when she did she brought a container of water but no cups. The table was super small as well so with an appetizer and two plates it was uncomfortable. We had to ask for the check three times, and the host reminded our waitress twice. Overall, service was very meh and a pain, but the ambiance, aesthetic, and food were decent.

I love the food here, it is definitely a vibe! I come here and enjoy myself each time and the service I recieved from my waitress, Mayra was amazing! I sat at the bar and witness how hard Rodolfo, the chef, was working with a smile on his face!! It's a vibe all around and I will continue to travel from Orlando for the food and great vibes! I had an opportunity to eat here this past weekend. My cousins and I were there as a group of 6. Immediately upon coming in there was an overwhelming smell of spoiled mop water. She then proceeded to take us to our table located next to the bathroom. The smell was worse. I asked if we could move and she reseated us. This time our entire table was sticky. They came back and wiped it down with clean water. Drinks were good, however our food was definitely cooked different times. Parts were cold and parts were hot. The waitress took it back and heated it in the microwave and mix up the plates. There were 2 different sources of music playing at the same time in the dining area. But the food was amazing.

Love 7th&Grove! From the events to the food to the bartenders, it is always a vibe. I love the music and the events the staff curates are always so glamorous. This is the first place I take all my visitors from outside the state. I know we are always going to enjoy no matter the time or day. My favorite bartender is Hazel by the way! She’s so helpful, always smiling, and she’s fast. She also a baddie, which I mean all the bartenders are cute, but my Hazel top tier! Love Gabby too. All the girls do a phenomenal job. It’s always a good time.

Visited this restaurant on last night and enjoyed the entire experience. The atmosphere is a whole vibe! The restaurant was quite busy and we were seated within a few minutes. The restaurant DJ played an array of old and new skool music. I relished the Let's Stay Together and it was quite tasty. The entire staff was courteous and professional. Jarvis introduced himself and made conversation. He made our visit even more pleasurable, ensuring that we were satisfied and comfortable. Love this place!

Let me say that this was a wonderful culinary experience. My meal started with the "Snoop Dog" Crafted Cocktail. Followed with a "Cry Me A River" appetizer of catfish & and the best fried muffins ever. The "Let's Dive In" catfish, over linguine and crab entree was also amazing. Overall the meal was a 10+. The resturant itself has a great vibe and the service was outstanding. Thank you Bree for making my first visit to 7th & Groove a 5-Star experience.

Good drinks, good food, good atmosphere. We went on a weekday afternoon. They are open for lunch now. We had drinks, a hookah, and a small meal. The food was so good. I don't remember what it was called but it was chicken with greens and Mac and cheese. I got a smoked old fashioned as well. All the workers were so friendly.

The food is amazing! Visited in August and food was so great decided to come back in October from DC. Some of the staff, less than stellar. There is a young lady at the front door who seems to hate every living being that doesn’t work at the restaurant. No smile, no hello, and when you ask a question she acts as if it’s the dumbest question she has ever heard. Encountered her both times I visited. Servers were nice, but we go for the food so we deal with the mediocre service. But with this last visit the final straw was after we were taking pictures at front of restaurant. The young lady at the door said, “I’m not trying to rush you but we’re waiting on you.” At that, we left. I even forfeited the deposit I had already paid to attend the lounge connected to the restaurant. But if you want great food, please go! It’s Black owned and the decor is amazing, and the gumbo is the best I’ve had in my life. I’ve recommended this place to everyone because of the food. If you want a grade A experience, this place ain’t it, but if you want grade A food, please go!

I love supporting Black businesses but this one may be slightly over-priced for what it's worth, probably due to the location. It's in Ybor so parking is a challenge. The food was indeed delicious as I've heard, but the service was hit or miss at times. I ordered the smoked bourbon, which they're supposed to smoke tableside, but unfortunately I had to watch what the experience was supposed to look like from the next table over, because apparently my server, while very polite with a smile, didn't feel like doing it to my drink. It's hard to give honest feedback on the tablet when paying the check, as they're standing over you, watching you with it. Nice vibe on the lounge side, when there isn't a private event (or brawl) taking place.

I went to 7th and Grove for my cousin’s birthday and I had an amazing time. The food was so good, which is a plus because nowadays it’s a hit or a miss when you go out to eat but all of the food was delicious. Monica was so attentive to our needs and she went above the call of duty to make sure we had a really good time. Not to mention the owner, Lila came to our table to make sure we were having a nice time and she is so down to earth. Also, Lila took pictures with all us and invited us to come back in the future. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking to have a nice time and celebrate a special occasion.

After seeing so many recommendations on FB to try this restaurant while in the Tampa area, I decided to make a reservation. When we arrived the hostess were very nice. Jamacia was an amazing waitress. She was very attentive from beginning to end. The food was hands down the best we had our entire time while in Tampa. The snoh aalegra cocktail was amazing as well.
