Reviews of Broadway Oyster Bar
Sarah Pawley
Fun establishment in downtown Saint Louis. Parking is limited as the lot only has a few spots but paid street parking is available all around. Food was great - try the Alligator Cheesecake, you won’t regret it! I had the Shrimp voodoo tacos with jambalaya as a side and it was good. We also had the fish tacos with rice and beans which was also enjoyed. Live band was playing on a Wednesday evening

Loved it! They were very accommodating with producing dairy free options. They have plenty of meat and fish options on their menu. The flavors, vibe, and employees were nothing short of amazing! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for oysters, fish, Cajun, Louisiana style flavors.
They do have crawfish and gator on their menu. Plenty of seating inside the building or inside their outdoor tent (still warm even with the winter temperatures)
Stop by if you're in town!

I would recommend call for a reservation. Not sure if we just came in during a busy time but the wait was long so we decided to eat at the bar.
Great vibe and atmosphere. Staff was good.
We would recommend the seafood. My spouse definitely enjoyed the oysters and salad. My chicken sandwich paired with the Cajun fries were ok.

Went for lunch on a Monday. We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately. I had 10 raw oysters (only $1ea, M-F), and the Shrimp Voodoo Tacos. My wife had the sampler platter and some sort of creamy cake with a caramel sauce. The food came out very quickly and it was all delicious; I wish I could eat more. The food here was really, really good. The decor is fun, Cajun-quirky with a lot of musically-themed artifacts (they have live music 7 days a week). There's a bit of cool history here, too - some of the original building from 1843 is still in use. Maybe my new favorite restaurant in St. Louis. Will definitely return!

Absolutely phenomenal. The blue crab cakes were the best I’ve ever had, the Mac n Cheese was so cheesy my lips were stickin together and was piled high with delicious buttery crawfish, and the shrimp and grits were better than moms. The food was fresh and amazing, the service was fast and friendly, and the drinks were strong. The owner even came and checked on us a couple times to make sure we were happy. Make a reservation as this place is usually packed. We will definitely be back. 5 stars

A great hangout spot in St. Louis. I was craving Cajun food and this place hit the spot. I tasted two of their half dozen oysters and taster platter and enjoyed everything. They had live music and I always enjoy music with food. I will try to visit this place again if I'm in town.

They have a phone number, but don't pick up calls. I tried calling to find out about vegetarian options, the menu online had two options, one was a very plain salad. When I got there I asked the waiter and was told that I could get the fajitas vegetarian! The waiter was very nice, and the fajitas. The avocado was a little under ripe which was disappointing, but otherwise the food was good. The meat eaters enjoyed their food.

Yes Oyster Bar. Everything we ordered was amazing. It was my first time trying oysters and the Oysters Rockefeller is the way to go. 6 oysters to an order was about $17 but worth it for sure. This time around I didn't get to order from the original menu. There was a featured crawfish festival menu that had tons of items to choose from. I went with fried crawfish tails. So light and buttery (no sides included). My table also ordered the shrimp Po boy and a bread pudding. The bill totaled at like $80 with a decent tip included. I would recommend if you're in the mood for any seafood but don't get too dressed up this place has full on casual vibes. Service was great and the ambience was very unique. Will be back for sure.

Always enjoy stopping at the oyster bar, good food and service. Favorites are the alligator cheese cake and the enchiladas. This trip we had the cheese burger and cat fish sub, both were great. Definitely eat here when ever we can.

Fun establishment in downtown Saint Louis. Parking is limited as the lot only has a few spots but paid street parking is available all around. Food was great - try the shrimp and grits, you won’t reret it! I had the Shrimp voodoo with slaw as a side and it was good. And the fried catfish.

Consistently providing great food and music for decades, the Broadway Oyster Bar is a timeless destination loved by first time visitors and locals alike. The Cajun inspired food is a well balanced kick with flavor and the music as worth sticking around for late into the evening. Wednesday nights (typically) the Voodoo players put on a themed review - there might not be a better show in town!

My friend: you want to go to a local spot?
Me: yep
Off we go to this awesome place near the angry beaver about 10 minutes away from our hotel. We waited for about 30 minutes but ooo I would have waited for an hour if they told me too after experiencing what I ate.
We sat down and instantly made friends with the table next to us. They even let us taste their alligator cheesecake and we had no words for the joy that overwhelmed our taste buds. Plus, we ate off a strangers plate, my mom would normally say no to this sort of thing, but… 🤷🏻♀️
We then ordered what the other table next to us said which was the red beans and rice and oops we got a cup of the gumbo on accident, but we didn’t know so we ate it. Then came the red beans, both were delicious.
We were in heaven by the time the oysters came and decided to order two different kinds. One had bacon cream sauce… yes, please
Dessert was a must and they only had one so it was an easy choice. Bread pudding and it was like breakfast and dessert and it all the spots.
I’d go back to Missouri just to take friends here.

Great food, great music, great ambiance. The server will take your order and bring you drinks, but they have food runners which defeats the purpose to me of having a server. I could have just as easily ordered food and my drinks from the bar and had it come out that way. PLUS they don’t split the bill! They bring you one bill and you have to tell them how much you want your card charged.
Angie Saunders
Inside/ outside dining, very eclectic. I had the shrimp and wild mushrooms pasta, hubby had voodoo gator bites-a little spicy, the other couple shared tacos but sure what was in them (fish/shrimp?) It came with jambalaya. And we got to of the same appetizer "The CHEESECAKE " made with crawfish and alligator sausage ground up in the cream cheese, came with flat bread points. AMAZING.

This was a fantastic escape from the mundanities of urban life. A place where graffiti, art, service and amazing food come together to create the perfect culinary experience which is a symphony of spice and taste in your mouths. Absolutely recommend you go if you're in St. Louis area. As epic as the Arch 👌
Doug Jambor
Best oyster po boy I have ever had and the bread was phenomenal which is brought in from New Orleans and I had it with it with the voodoo sauce which I have a recommend if you like spicy.
Crawfish soup was okay but was a little bit on the sweet side for me.
I had a dozen of the golf oysters in those were great too!
If you are in St Louis looking for a good place to eat, I recommend this place as a definite stop
Ernst Fantaisy
Broadway Oyster Bar is one of the New Orleans style restaurants in St Louis and its really good. If you're in town, it's worth stopping by for some good food. The crab cakes are delicious along with fried green tomatoes. The jambalaya is spicy and good too!
Nikolai Olsen
This place was everything the reviews suggested. Extensive menu and drink options. Tons of New Orleans flair and the entire bar is decorated with dofferent things on the walls and ceiling. Really neat spot and some friendly staff. I ended up going two days in a row.
melissa
SO GOOD! everything we had was amazing. The lobster cheesecake (I know, sounds crazy but trust me on this one), shrimp po boy, the BEST shrimp n grits I've had and oysters. Cant go wrong. Service and staff were wonderful as well and super helpful! 👌 …
Bria Harris
I've been here several times. I have tried several things but I LOVE the char-grilled oysters, the cheesecake, and the mac & cheese. The service can be better but wasnt horrible even to leave.
Kiljoong Kim
One of the best oyster bars in Midwest. Other food items are quite delicious as well particularly very unique shrimp & grits. Great beer selection including some very nice local ones. I particularly enjoyed Bavarian lager called Zwickel from Urban Chest Brewery. This place is a must visit for anyone visiting St. Louis.
Storm D'Angelo
Free poured $9 cocktails and dank crayfish...... uhhhhhhhhh yes?!?!?!
Get your dirty fingers on some sexy spicy goodies and never look back. Shout out to the Chicago friends who said this is the best spot in Saint Louis cause I have no doubt after eating here.
Hot rec is the cooked oysters, haven't tried them all, but I plan to 🦐🦐🦐🦐

Broadway Oyster Bar was all that and then some! My friend and I were in the search for some seafood. This place was recommended by someone trustworthy, and they did not disappoint. Let's just say we started out with oysters. Two different kinds. And they both were marvelous. The Char-grilled Oysters and the Oysters Nola were excellent. Then we tried another appetizer. The Alligator Sausage and Shrimp Cheesecake was savory and extremely delicious. Then for my meal I chose the Crawfish Enchiladas. Can we say OH... MY... GOSHHHHHH! So SOOO very good. It comes with Jambalaya too. My friend had an appetizer for her meal. The Blue Crab Cakes. There were three of them, each on top of a fried green tomato. It was delicious, but a little too much filling for our liking. We were thoroughly satisfied overall with the food. We will definitely come back. And we DEFINITELY recommend your trying out Broadway Oyster Bar. The service is awesome. And everyone is friendly. Thanks guy! Until NEXT time...
Tiffany Vaughn
The food, atmosphere, and service was absolutely perfect. We had no issues at all.
We started our supper with char-grilled oysters. They came to the table hot and perfectly seasoned. They were a good size and very flavorful. It was $16.99 for a half dozen.
The menu states that their food is spicy because that's their style. I enjoyed the spiciness of my dish, my friend's was a little too spicy for her (she doesn't normally eat anything spicy). My friend had the Mahi Mahi Chef's Special which came on a bed of risotto with mushrooms and jalapenos. She said it was very spicy even after she removed the jalapenos, but when I tried it I would have rated it mild to medium spicy if you are used to eating spicy food. I had the Crawfish Enchiladas with fresh pico de Gallo and homemade jambalaya. They came with a delicious, creamy cheese sauce on top. They were medium spicy in my opinion, which was perfect for me. The jambalaya that came with it was more on the "hot" side of spicy. It was very flavorful too!
One of the other friends at our table had crab cakes, which she said was not spicy at all. They were smaller crab cakes but there were several of them on the plate. This crab cakes came on a fried green tomato and had a delicious sauce on them.
The fourth person had jambalaya, rice and garlic Parmesan french fries. His dish was almost too spicy for him but he ate most of his. He said the fries were delicious and the garlic Parmesan was really flavorful.
We did not have dessert. We did have drinks from the bar
I had a Berry Margarita and someone else at our table had a Rum Runner. My drink was delicious and generous with the alcohol. My friend said her drink was way too strong. I think they are perhaps a little heavy with the alcohol, but it was still tasty!
We highly recommend Broadway Oyster Bar for great food and good, strong cocktails! You MUST try the char-grilled oysters if you love oysters!
Lisa Graziano
The last time I was here was 8 years ago... The food and atmosphere are still the same! Kitschy cajun dive bar with live music and fantastic food. For 8 years I've thought about the char grilled oysters. They were just as delicious as I remembered! I also ordered the sampler platter...it had jambalaya, etouffee, red beans and rice and a cup of gumbo to share with my daughter. It was all really good. There was live music at the time we were there which was nice out on their side patio. I love this place! A must try if you are in St Louis❤️

We came to St. Louis from Chicago for the Cubs/Cardinals game and had a great time on Saturday night with my wife, the band played some great funk music and the place was packed. Unfortunately started raining really bad that kinda ruined the night. Overall we had a good time although $20 cover charge is a little too expensive.
Vincent Casey
Excellent food at a reasonable price.
I had...
Apps
Fried alligator: excellent, very similar to popcorn shrimp.
Alligator sausage and shrimp cheesecake: absolutely incredible, very surprised by the result. Savory and smooth with a little bite.
Main
Lobster PoBoy: great sandwich, very large proportions.
Cajun fries: standard but good.
Drinks
Miller: standard bottle, a bit pricy.
David Gray
Best crawfish enchiladas I ever had the crab cakes were diffrent than what I'm used to but very good as well with a friendly staff and positive atmosphere it's a well earned 5 stars
Scott Perdue
Fun place to go before/after a Cardinals game or to catch a live band such as Sean Canan. When we went they only had availability in the covered patio which we thought would be cold in winter, but it was enclosed and plenty warm, plus there was a live band! I got the andouille grinder with Parmesan garlic fries and my wife got jambalaya. Mine was just okay – I would have liked more garlic. My wife liked her jambalaya.
Prices are reasonable and, like I said, it’s a great place to watch some local live music.
Ryan LaFebre
The food is really fun and tasty. The Red Beans and Rice was especially good. Jasmine, our waitress, was awesome and really took care of us. All around great restaurant!
Chey Wright
The food was absolutely delicious 🤤 I had the Voodoo shrimp tacos 🍤🌮 and they were so fire 🔥🔥🔥 you only get two but they are loaded. I was full after one. Great portion of fries 🍟. I also got the catfish fritters and they were good but I asked for extra crispy and they definitely wasn’t. I didn’t like how they threw all my fries on my tacos either! Could be a little more neat with the separation. I had to pick all fries out my tacos before I could actually eat them. I also purchased a Groupon so if you have one go get a discount! I did curb side pick up. It was easy to place the order but the back lot to pick it up is extremely small !! Be cautious of this when pulling in. Over all would definitely go again food was sooo good !!! ❤️❤️
Darryl T
Loved the inside bar. Didn't go outside because of the $5 cover but had a great time inside with Brett as our bartender! He made us feel welcomed and is hilarious! We met some awesome people as well so the patrons and staff really made this place enjoyable for a Monday night!
Kat P
This place is busy and packed but it’s bomb!! I had a reservation twice still had to wait for 20-30MINS for a table. I still give 5 stars because food exceeded my expectations. Servers were very friendly. Pretty chill crowd.
My server suggested shrimp tacos and they were phenomenal. Mmmm! Second visit we ordered the sampler and they have the best jambalaya I’ve ever had. Their drinks were amazing too. I love this place. Will come back for sure!
Makeba Gray
I absolutely love this place!!! The shrimp & alligator sausage cheesecake is the best & I have to get it every time I go! You will not be disappointed 😌🔥❤️ …
Chris Ulloa
I heard that this place had some good gumbo which St. Louis is famous for so I gave it a visit. It did take a while for the host to sit me down, they all seemed quite confused in the front. The table I sat on was a picnic bench with a comfy inclination. I just happened to arrive when the live music had begun playing so that was a plus. Stephanie, my waitress, attended me superbly and she made up for the weak hosting service. I ordered a Nola style BBQ shrimp appetizer and an Andouille, chicken and seafood gumbo cup. The shrimp was meaty and tasty but came in a butter sauce that was slightly expired. The Gumbo was top-notch, a plethora of southern flavors, just wish I ordered a bigger cup. I washed it all down with one of the best Oktoberfest Beers I’ve ever tried made by Okatz brewery. The live bluegrass was a pleasing experience and set the mood for the raunchy southern backyard venue. I would give it 4 stars but the food did initiate a war in my belly about 30 min after leaving the place. I had a decent time and the waitress was great but i’d have to give it a 3.5.
RedBullKC
Perfection in the middle of this big city! One of our top places to eat while visiting STL! Love the spicy food and haven't had a bad meal yet! The Gumbo is the freshest I've tasted outside of New Orleans! Authentic southern dishes that won't leave you hungry, but just wasting8 more, to keep eating! Not a disappointment in site! So impressive, from the food to the staff! The love music on the patio was inviting but we were on a schedule! Go thru the door with high expectations and they'll be accommodated! So impressed by every dish! The salmon special was outstanding and seasoned to perfection with my "horn gator" drink! Fun and delightful! You can't help but look around at all the southern charm walls, packed with fun! You'll love it! Whatever you do, use the restroom while you're there!
Jacqueline H.
The food and drinks was really good overall besides the Alfredo pasta. It tasted like it has onion in it and that's a little different from the traditional recipe. But one thing that has my taste buds wanting more is the Alligator cheese cake.
Gordon Mitchell
Mike took great care of us @ the outside bar!! He was terrific! The oysters are fresh, the gumbo is lovely, the wings were very tasty! The eclectic nature of Broadway Oyster Bar only adds to your enjoyment. There is something to see every square inch! We had a great time!
Al Capone
Imho, the best spicy crawfish in the area. Get their hot powder on the side, brother had shrimp and crab po' boy sliders...he loved it but voodoo sauce not spicy for us southerners or westerners....for most Midwesterners, hot. It was about a 1 for us out of ten. The pail I had, 1# was $20 worth of absolute heaven.
Jenny S
Great atmosphere, food, drinks and service. Make sure to get reservations or go online on the waiting list. It gets really really busy but so worth it.
erica l
I have baby tastebuds that don’t like spice or heat, so I was a little nervous looking at the menu but I landed on pulled pork sliders which were DELISH. Also split the crab cakes with a friend and we agreed they were some of the best we’ve ever had. Will definitely be eating here again.
Brian Camp
This is one of the best atmospheric places in St Louis. Food is absolutely divine. Wife had the shrimp and grits, I had the grilled Mahi Mahi. Omg loved it
Mike Biehl
Creole restaurant serving up all your Creole favorites. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits and it was so good. The grits where prepared in a grit cake style with creamy sauce with fresh shrimp. It was so good. I also recommend ordering their Ceaser Salad. The dress for the salad is made in house. You have to order a Hurricane beverage as well. The Crawfish Mac & Cheese is another excellent entrée to order. For dessert you have to try the Bread Pudding.
Jeremy Michael Mitchell
The vibe in this place is impossible to beat. The moment you walk in you find a comfort zone you haven't had in a while. The food is top notch, the service is one point, and the music is phenomenal. A St. Louis must see.
Allan Zacher
I'm totally good to leave New Orleans and plant here in St Louis. This place is the Mac-Diggity.
I'm not going to take points off for this but their "BBQ shrimp" is Not up to Comanders in NO, but then, $1 oysters, good beer and live music? 5-star IMO. Also the grilled oysters are good!
Coley Mays
What an fun atmosphere! Right by the stadium. Live music. Great live music. Kimmy bar tender was busy busy but so good. I got the Nola bbq shrimp appetizer. Very good. I also ordered the crawfish etoufee. It was different than what I’m accustomed to. Bigger slices of veggies. Rue was a little lighter but still good. Descent price drinks. It’s a historic, hole in the wall place. I will repeat.
Jay Double U (Mo)
My 6th time eating there and I can't stop eating the Oysters Medley! Cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of cheeses and Spinach and soooo savory! Im the only who eats them in my household, sooo um, yea, all 6 are getting eaten❤️ OYSTERS NOLA😋
Joe Small
I had a wonderful first visit. Helpful friendly staff and welcoming patrons. First rate live entertainment and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the shrimp voodoo. Found my corner too!
Sara
I absolutely love it here. Been coming here for the last 20+ years to listen to live music and eat amazing food. Atmosphere is loud and wonderful! Anytime I'm in the city I'm here! My fav currently is the Voodoo Shrimp Po' Boy with Garlic Parmesan Fries. My boyfriend tried the Crawfish Enchiladas and loved them. Fav app is the Alligator Sausage Cheesecake. Yum yum.
Cedric Gist
This establishment lives up to it's reputation as a premier dining site in St. Louis. I made reservations for my sister and myself on what was a busy Sunday afternoon. We were seated at a breezy location just past the threshold entering the rear section. The live music seemed a bit loud - at first.
Our server, Dawn, was quick and responsive and welcoming. We chose the sample patter with an order of crab cakes to share. Talk about spicy! The menu gave fair warning and each dish was spicy and delicious. We became so engrossed in enjoying the meal and our conversation that the music became pleasant background atmosphere. It was a lively place - and a restaurant I look forward to visiting again. Ah, and the bread pudding was delicious as well.
Cookies Lying
The host initially said an hour wait for patio seating but seated us in Abt 15 min. Food was great. Oysters Cardinals and shrimp and mushroom pasta..I added crawfish..my friend had Oysters ben something...lol, shrimp voodoo and mona pasta. We both had signature drinks. Total 152. Gave a 15 dollar tip. Great service.
Dynmtojos
Food was really good and fairly priced, the only issue we had was they seated us outside claiming they had no inside staff, so we had to fight off all the flies as we tried to enjoy our food, the staff was friendly as well!
Stephanie Brinkerhoff
Great food, friendly staff, and a cool atmosphere. We had the alligator cheesecake and crab cakes.
Tic Tac
REDEMPTION!!!
The hot bartenders inside Pride Weekend & Now Lauren Jul1st, AMAAAZING Experiences!! I even ordered a 2nd of the Amaazing Bubbling¡ CHAR-GRILLED OYSTERS, [& tequila wings to-go] So delectable. AND I deleted my prior 'sassy' review, thanks again!
Sandy Bautista
This place is amazing! We really loved all the dishes we tried. If you are in SLM this restaurant is a must!
Maria Torres
This was my first trip to Broadway Oyster Bar, which was decent overall. I ordered Shrimp Tacos and had a Hurricane cocktail. The food and cocktail was delicious!
While the food was great, beware that there isn't a lot of air conditioning in the building! They just have big fans turned on. I went recently and it was very hard to eat hot seafood while it was very humid indoors. I was also very surprised to see that they do not do separate checks. These are just items to be aware of if you take a big group here during the summertime!
Connie Welsh
Loved it. Wonderful local 44 year old 'dive". Food, drinks and service were all excellent. A don't miss dining opportunity in St. Louis.
Vic Winnall
The food was AWESOME!! I expected it to be HOTTER but I was told people complained because it was hot. I'm from Texas, we love it hot! DON'T eat Cajun if you don't like hot!!! Regardless, this place is on my top 2 places to eat in St Louis!!!!!! Thank you guys, plus your staff is awesome!!! Especially Carly!!!
Paul Richardson (TheHomeWizard)
Fabulous seafood joint!
Oysters++.
Not a franchise, NOT just straight off the food truck, Actual real food prepared for real people.
Martini was right, gator cheesecake was inventive and excellent. Oysters on the 1/2 shell priced right & the horseradish & cocktail sauce had just the right bite.
High Noon hard seltzer available, salad was plentiful and fresh
Spicy Bloody Mary was awsm, had lots of pepper. Manhattan tasted just right.
Kimberly Reinhold
This place is a St. Louis gem. I would argue it's not only the BEST restaurant in St. Louis...but one of the best restaurants/food period. The food is always unbelievable (literally it doesn't matter what you order… everything on the menu is so delicious and has so much flavor)! A few favorites are the BBQ shrimp, Shrimp Voodoo tacos, Shrimp & Wild Mushroom Pasta, & Alligator Cheesecake. If you have room for dessert...the bread pudding is the BEST I’ve ever had. This is hands-down my favorite restaurant and such a treat when we are able to get there!
Jack Gaines Jr.
Kaysian dining at his best, we rode to St Louis for a motorcycle club was having a annual three day party. One of guys brother in our group lives there. He suggested we eat at Broadway Oyster Bar. All kaysian food and was it good!, oh my. I love Kaysian cooking, and it inexpensive not bad at all for the price. If you in St. Louis it right down the street from where the St Louis Cardinals ball field is.
Eric Bridgeforth
Overall great service and food. Highly recommend and I would definitely go back!
Vince Introcaso
The best place to come for clams, and the fried alligator is fantastic, and there bread pudding with whiskey sauce is fanominal.
Ashley Prange
Even on a Cardinal playoff night the staff got it done! Jordan was our waitress and very pleasant. Cold beer and cold shrimp!
Angela Layman
Neat place. It makes me more ready to go back to New Orleans. The decorations and atmosphere are great. This was my first visit.
We came down on a day when the Cardinals played and it was hard to find parking.
I really liked the wrought iron patio windows. There is even a table that circles a tree. The wall art was really cool too. There was mosaic art on the patio on the building wall and large murals on the outside of the building. I remember a painting with an alligator dancing with a shrimp.
It was great that smoking wasn't allowed on the patio while I was eating dinner. 🙂
Madeline Westerhoff
Us Virginians loved the Broadway Oyster Bar! My family and I ordered the crab cakes (which were served on fried green tomatoes), fried oysters, the oyster medley, catfish po’boy, a cup of creole jambalaya with cornbread and Cajun fries, garlic cream shrimp linguini, and the kid’s menu butter noodles and bread (toddler approved). The atmosphere was very chill and nice. Our server, Carly, was super sweet and even recommended some late night ice cream shops to check out.
The entire building inside and out has funky, cool designs and decor. It would be an awesome place to have some late night drinks too, but the kitchen closes earlier than the bar so call ahead if food is what you’re looking for to make sure! Also, just a heads up, they don’t let you do separate checks so come prepared for one person in your party to pay and just send them the money from your food (or vice versa). If you’re driving, parking is limited so you may need to pay for parking nearby. It is totally worth it though because the food is fresh and amazing!
Nick Abbott
Down in the STL for a concert and had to try the Broadway Oyster Bar!!! It was awesome we had fried alligator for appetizer and oyster medley. The Mrs had grilled shrimp Po boy parmesan fries. I had the fried shrimp Voodoo tacos everything was capped off with some live 🎶🎵🎶🎵 loved this place. Y'all need to come check it out!!! …
Jerry McCray
Went for a date night and was not expecting to enjoy this place as much as i did… the dimly lite room was filled with good vibes. I had a cup of Gumbo that tasted like it was cooked and shipped from New Orleans. The pasta i had was creamy a 100% the best i ever had the shrimp was fresh and they put A LOT in there.. my waitress was nice everything was nice n i can’t wait to go back.
Ranjan Mohanty
Food and atmosphere were fantastic. The gulf oysters, red beans and rice, and gumbo were out of this world delicious!
Charmaine Sibley
Took my friend here for her birthday. The food was delicious. You might have a little wait but it is worth it ❤️
Rashon Cole
I've been going to the Oyster Bar for years, and have never had a bad experience. From date night, birthdays or just an after work drink while watching live music there's always a good time. The menu boast a wide variety of Cajun creole options from raw or cooked oysters to Alligator Tacos with amazing drinks to complement every meal. The service is always amazing with a friendly and inviting staff. If you're ever in St Louis this is a must visit restaurant not only because of the menu but also the decor and design of the space.
Robert Nolkemper
Great food, oysters are $1 from 11am-6 pm. I had the shrimp voodoo po'boy and my girlfriend had the mahi mahi fish tacos. Reasonably priced, great value for the money. Will definitely go back next time I'm in St Louis.
Anthony (ANTDIZZ)
Great place...Live bands... good food....good vibes definitely A GO TO!

This place was a great find about a half mile from Busch Stadium. Great food, kinda a hole in the wall place in-between a couple bars. It kinda looks like a place that you'd find down in NOLA. The food was great, anything on the menu you get will be good. Definitely be back next time we're in town!!
Steve Maliszewski
Thank you for making my mom's 81st birthday so special. As usual the food was great and our server (it says Margaret on my receipt) and the rest of the staff was spectacular.
Angela Wright
Do not pass this place up! Great atmosphere, even better food. Delicious, old Creole recipe favorites and some with a little twist; crab cakes atop a fried green tomato?! Where have you been all of my life?! They only have one dessert because they only need one dessert. Order it, you won't be sorry!
Clayton Simmons
Absolutely 💯. Always a great experience.
5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 's all the way.
Grinder & Gumbo kind of guy.
Sam Murakami
All the food was absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere was super relaxed. Drinks are also great. Personally, I think everything is pretty reasonably priced given that it's seafood. Keep in mind, I had 2 mains, an app, and a drink, I think I spent roughly $60. If I had eaten 1 main, I probably would've spent like $40 or 45.
Simon Huang
Oysters NOLA were just ok, but Shrimp and Grits was absolutely amazing!
Be prepared to wait esp on Cardinals game days!

Loved it here. It was my first time going and I had a blast. The food was great except I had some tequila wings that didn't taste or even have tequila in them, they actually tasted hot, And I don't like anything spicy. But other than that they place was great.
Tyler Francisco
The shrimp po’ boy is amazing. The shrimp was fried to perfection and finished in a smooth, buttery voodoo sauce. The prices are fair for downtown and the flavorful portions meet your dollar. I enjoyed the fresh coleslaw which was packed with flavor. Personally, I do not agree with the amount and size of onions in the slaw, but overall the components were there. I will definitely try this place more frequently.
Grant Langbauer
The best po-boy's around! The bread was light, flakey and soft. We had the fried shrimp and crawfish po boys! One item to avoid is the spicy coleslaw - didn't enjoy that. Service was friendly and efficient. Opted to eat inside as the band was kinda loud when we visited. Parking is tight. There is street parking and a small lot kinda behind restaurant.
Ben Gerber
Excellent Saint Louis establishment. The menu is mostly various shellfish options, oysters, shrimp and crawfish in many varieties. Everything our group had was excellent. The shrimp and grits was very nice with a patty of grits fried till crispy and smooth buttery white gravy. Highly recommend.
shawn E.
The freshest oysters in the area and seriously potent horseradish which I love. Catfish po boy was as good as that dish gets. Well-rounded beer selection. Very sold red beans and rice - nice and smokey. Service was on top of our needs and very pleasant.

I love oyster bar so much I’ve been going there for over 10 years to shows and for the great food. I’ve always loved this place. Until recently I’ve always loved the staff as well. The current door man for shows is one of the most unpleasant people I’ve ever met. He ruined many peoples experience the night I was there. I hope you guys get rid of him! I know help is hard to find but I will not be back for a show if he is working. I will still come to enjoy the food earlier in the day though!
Felicia G.
The food was great! I got the crawfish Mac and cheese which was delicious, I tried a bit of the gumbo and it was quite good. I'd never had oysters before, but they were pretty great (though I don't think oysters are my favorite thing), and the savory cheesecake was very good and surprising! I'll be back!

What a find!! We went on a day were there was a crawfish broil and live music. Broadway has 4 great options for dining locations: covered patio, seats out front, indoor, and a side garden/patio area. We got LOTS off the menu and nothing disappointed: burger with Cajun fries (my god, these fries!), Fish tacos, crawfish nachos, a bloody Mary, and a margarita. You can't go wrong. On top of that, the service was awesome. We sat on the covered patio and it was definitely hot (94 degree weather, 101 heat index) even though they had a huge fan with misting water, so just be aware when choosing seating. Bathrooms were clean and the decor throughout was everything one would want in a Louisiana/NOLA themed establishment.
Otoki Sicily
Great food, fast service, huge patio, but the music was waaaaaaaay too loud. We had to scream back and forth with our servers because of the noise.
For food highly recommend the shrimp voodoo, shrimp and grits, and BBQ shrimp. The BBQ shrimp isn't traditional bbq, but a rich flavorful cream sauce that you'll want to sop up with the bread they provide. Shrimp and grits is a pan fried grit cake and a creamy sauce, also delicious and not what I normally expect when I order shrimp and grits.
Would definitely go again, but I'll check their music schedule next time to go when it's quieter.

When in St Louis BOB is always on the itinerary where the bar is well stocked and the live entertainment is hot. The staff is always helpful and the other customers fun. Still have to try the food items there so even though it looks great, I can not comment.
Dean B
Group of 10 had lunch. Great experience. Excellent service. I had Voodoo shrimp Po boy with Cajun fries. Really good. Only rec would be for them to do separate checks, which they don't allow.
Bonnie G
Broadway Oyster Bar is the best!! Always fresh seafood. Oysters are delicious, any way you get them. My fave raw, and Oysters Rockefeller. You can't beat their fried Jumbo Shrimp or the Shrimp 'n Grits. I anxiously wait for their Oyster Po Boys for lunch and Soft Shell Crabs when the they them.
Mussels also a fav. Always a treat going to BOB!!
Jessica Weaver
Everything we ate was amazing. Get the shrimp and gator cheesecake. TRUST THIS. Dive bar ambiance. Reminded me of some of my favorite NOLA bars. The only thing they didn't have were daiquiris, which is not negative feedback.
WillyWorld
Went here for a Saturday afternoon with live music. Good times and great service.
AJ Griem
Yes, the inside of this place is exactly what you're picturing in your head. It's funky, it's cool, and most importantly, the food is DELICIOUS.
Parking is a bit iffy, as you have to park on the street and it's not the best area - but I haven't had anything happen to my car (yet).
I ordered the gumbo and it was great - served with rice and two little cornbread rounds.
Bruno Barros
Broadway oyster bar is ALWAYS a good idea!
They are being socially responsible during covid. Spaced out tables, mask requirements, etc. Our group of 4 felt extremely comfortable with their precautions.
The food is delicious!
ALLIGATOR CHEESECAKE, as gross as it sounds, is like a baked dip that you need to try.
Their BAKED OYSTERS are good. I like the sampler to try them all and my favorite changes by the day.
My absolute favorite item on the menu is their NOLA STYLE BBQ SHRIMP. I could live off of these. Perfect balance of heat, butter, and heaven.
Also check out their website/social media to see about the music schedule. Great night/afternoon out!
Javoney Fleming
Hadn't been to the oyster bar in years and the food was still very good! So good I totally forgot to take photos hummm ! Anyway I had the jambalaya and my friend had red beans and rice. They both were very good. I'll stop by there again and try something else soon
A G
I had the crab cakes, it was fantastic! The cake was cuddled by a crisp and tasty crust. When biting into the cake, you could taste the fresh vegetables! Al Dente! It is a must try for an appetizer before a game or night out! Enjoy!!!
Aleesha Jones
I'm a New Orleans native and I've been here twice. I had really high expectations, but I'll be honest I was super impressed with the food. I will say that I absolutely love their char-grilled oysters. I took my mom, who has lived in New Orleans for over 30 years, and she wasn't very impressed with the food either. We got BBQ shrimp and a crawfish poboy. Everything was just kind of okay. The atmosphere is really great here though. I definitely plan to come back for the oysters!
John Hooser
I always love the atmosphere at Broadway Oyster Bar.
The food is amazing!!
I love their Shrimp and Grits!!
Sharva Hampton-Campbell
The wait was not long and the food was so good!! The portions seemed small for the prices, but will eat there again. The waiter and hostess were responsive and courteous.
Julie R
This place is absolutely amazing!! Literally brought me back to New Orleans! The alligator cheesecake is the best I have ever had!!! A must try!
JW Cobb
Oysters were awesome. Had a muffaletta. General store in NO is better but this was good too.
Mark VanPatton
We stopped in for lunch, party of 4. Had oysters cardenale, lobster pasta, crawfish mona, and crawfish mac and cheese. Everyone enjoyed their meals, the flavor was great! My wife wants to return cause oysters are her favorite. Service was good, and I believe the owner came up and asked how everything was which is nice. Little pricey but it is what it is.
Recommended.
Dominic Moise
Came here on a Sunday afternoon/evening and was surprised by the wait. I now know why there is a wait-time. This place offers good service and even better food. I will definitely come back for the bucket of crawfish! And they also had live entertainment (A BIG PLUS)!!
Beth Shoptaugh
The food is fantastic!! It's been quite a few years since I have been there. My husband and I brought our son for his birthday and to see the band All Roostered Up, he loved it, we loved it. A great place!!
alexandria patrick
We took our friends here to celebrate a birthday. The service was great even with covid standards. We didn't have to wait long either nor did we feel rushed. The prices were also great.
Nikki Anderson
Always great food and great service! They were packed but still managed to get everything out in a timely fashion. And as always it was delicious! Oysters Rockefeller we're magnificent!!!
Kaylyn Johnston
Awesome find for us on our first visit to St.Louis. Stopped in on a road trip between California and Michigan. Awesome service, great NOLA vibe (I've been missing it since I visited a few years back). Fresh and tasty oysters.
Also I'd like to mention how amazing our server, Sherry, was. She was courteous, friendly, and was always on the move. We could see her our entire visit just busting out sidework/detailing duties and yet we were never neglected. As a restaurant manager myself, it was awesome to see. Did I mention it was 90 out and we were on the patio and she had a mask on the whole time!? Kudos all around. Definitely our spot when we come back this way.
Douglas Moore
Great food, great service and great prices.

I started looking at the menu a few weeks ago when I knew I was meeting Bruce in St. Louis for dinner. First... there was a fire in the fireplace and the ambience was so cute, interesting and cheerful you couldn't help but be happy. We got the Alligator, sausage and shrimp cheesecake to start. I have no words for how delicious it was.. and it was not a heavy dish. It was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. Then we got the shrimp and grits, charbroled oysters and peel and eat shrimp. The peel and eat were monster shrimp. The oysters have to be in season because they were big and plump with a great, not overbearing charbroil flavor. I love good shrimp and grits and there are a close 1st to Blu Seafood in Durham NC which has gone out of business. They were fabulous. Our bartender was very attentive to our drink and food needs and very nice. A very good experience I must say...
Shadasia Lewis
Nice energy, staff was quick and upbeat. They have a covered outside bar area which is a great option. The decor is very hometown barish..something to look at. Great drinks! The food was delicious. Came out hot and fresh just how I like it. Looks like they have music sometimes outside too.
Denise Randolph
I live the raw oysters here. I would have given a 5 star rating on food fir the exception of the gumbo. The gumbo is thick and creamy. In my world, gumbo is filet based with seafood, sausage, chicken and okra but not a gravy consistency.
Jerry Powers
We were headed to a Cards game and needed to have a bite to eat before. WHAT A SURPRISE. The food was pretty authentic. Shrimp and oysters were fresh with great flavor. Shrimp and grits was not what I anticipated, but very interesting. My only real comment was the rue was a little on the weak side, but still good.
Riya Santra
All of the food was delicious and had interesting flavors. The oysters and mussels were great and the broth of the mussels really helped accentuate the flavor. The baguette roll with shrimp was a little hard to eat and messy, but the flavor was very unique and the whole dish was filling. I do think the tables could have been a little further apart for social distancing measures, but I was happy to be able to eat here and hope I get a chance to drop by and try the rest of the menu items sometime!
Nubs
The oysters and pork sliders were good.

This place has a great atmosphere. Too much media about how unsafe st louis is, we went at night, plenty of parking enjoyed the atmosphere and felt 100% safe. Get out an enjoy this restaurant.
demetra cunningham
Craig was an amazing server. Highly recommend him as a waiter. Food was delicious. Crab cakes and oyster medley my favorite!
Debra ovak
Awesome food waited on really quick and a waitress was very pleasant
Sherry Smith
Crawfish Enchiladas were great. The New England Clam chowder had a great flavor just a bit too thick for my taste.
Danni Parks
Small hole in the wall place that services really good cajun food. I love hole in the walls, so this is not a negative comment. Hole in the walls usually have the best food (better then chain restaurants) and this one lives up to that expectation. Great oysters, strong drinks (another plus in my book), and good service. Who could ask for anything more. Food was quick to come out and very very tasty. If you like your food with a little kick and can't make the 12 hour drive to New Orleans this is a good substitution. Laissez led bond temps rouler!- "Let the good times roll"

The oysters are always awesome, but the red beans and rice is just delicious. They seem to always be busy but we always get seated and served faster than expected.
Kimberly Tremmel
Fun atmosphere, good food.

From the coast of NC to this gem! Great atmosphere, live music, awesome service by the Bartender, and the FOOD!! It was delicious and the vibe is great. Thank you! -Heather from NC

I love this place! Amazing food, atmosphere, and staff. I've been about 4 times, and each visit was just as great as the last. 💚 Def a must visit place in St Louis.
Beast Pete
Nice bar but not as good as everyone is saying. For example the oysters were overpowered by the cheese, the aligators were too spicy to taste the real aligator taste. Moreover, their special margarita cocktail wasn't to our liking and has nothing to do with real margarita. The enchilada had some sausages that were poor quality, everything else was good with it. Restaurants should finally be using good quality Hungarian sausages, kolbász.
Rollie Mosley
Had the Seafood Sampler... Better then Red Lobster... The Red Beans and Rice 🔥🔥... Although because Of the Virus there's no live band, but they one of the few places who are still doing late dine In. I absolutely love this place. …
Michele Hardeman
tldr Gluten-free red beans and rice!
From a distance, this is a place I'd avoid - in any city. Fake New Orleans schtick and oysters in downtown St. Louis? Mmmm...nah. Plus, these places are usually all battered & fried stuff, another nah for me (thanks, celiacs). Thank goodness I was with a local. First off, they have GF options on the normal menu; already a win for me. Staff was super nice - love that when I asked about the special margarita she was quick to let me know the truth and not try to talk me into it (you'll have to figure that out for yourself!). Mostly, though, the food was GOOD.
I ordered oysters because the menu says they put gin in their cocktail sauce. I usually wouldn't get them from anywhere except some sort of fancy-schmancy oyster place. The oysters were perfect, the cocktail sauce got spooned onto my rice and beans. The beans and rice was so homey - and GF, as I mentioned, a rarity in these places cuz they use flour to thicken instead of time and a slow, low heat. Coleslaw - is it weird to have feelings about coleslaw? I wanted to steal it from the po'boy plate. Margarita was pretty good, not too sour mix tasting. Pineapple seltzer was a nice option for a GF drinker who doesn't want to just have likker all the darn time.
Covid - unfortunately I wouldn't come here if I couldn't eat on the patio. Just too close-quartered inside (but masks required). Ladies bathroom was also close-quartered, but in a fun way. Overall a laid-back vibe (not a fake touristy HEY NAWLINS HONHONH like I first, and wrongly, assumed). Maybe even a little punk rock, if I dare say...definitely will return if I ever go back to STL, definitely a spot to go to if you're gluten-free (and like day drinking on cool patios).
Matt Clarke
Amazing seafood spot! Really friendly service. Great New Orleans / Louisiana vibe in downtown St.Louis. We tried many different items on the menu and it was all delicious. The craw fish and alligator bites were unreal.
Kateura Barnes
I have been going to this spot for years. Love the live music and atmosphere. The voodoo shrimp and alligator cheesecake are my favorites!
Jennifer Hawkins
Love this place, the food is always good. Service was okay. Waiter kept walking pass but didn't ask any questions or get any refills on soda.
Beatle Love
After a few hard days and having to lose a special 15 year old lab, this was a great experience, Great atmosphere love the shrimp tacos and the shrimp and grits. The staff was wonderful by allowing us to bring in our rescue puppy and even giving him water on such a hot day. The patio was at a wonderful temperature and the desert was yummy. I would highly recommend this place to relax and enjoy life. Thank you so much for being so great we'll be back
connie hodges
Food was great. The service was slow because the manger didn't schedule enough staffing. 😒 As we were leaving some of the staff was coming in.

Delicious food. Everything I tried was good. Waitress was very friendly. Definitely worth the trip again.
Shronda Jackson
Parking is limited. Nice place south Downtown. Reputable venue just remember as you order your food that your not in New Orleans.
Beth Lowe
OMG Cajun in St Louis! Spicy, generous helpings that hit the spot. We had crawfish etouffe, shrimp and mushroom pasta and the Mona. Great roux, perfect spice level, cool atmosphere! We sat on the outside, enclosed and heated porch. It was likenwe were at a get-together with friends.
Paul Shaffer
Will forever love B.O.B. but the amount of tickets they sell really needs to be cut back and this isn't just me but dozens of people who attend concerts there agreeing. You're shoulder to shoulder in there to the point if being very uncomfortable. I've been to many concrete should to should but with enough room to at least move through the crowd. Also seems like a fire safety hazard.
Sanna Traw
Food and atmosphere was on point. Highly recommend the Voodoo Shrimp appetizer. Husband had the crab legs, he's still talking about them. Service was slow. Waited a good while for anyone to acknowledge us to begin with. Food came promptly but not by our server and we didn't see her again for awhile still. It was our first trip there and we will be back. Food was far to good.
Lana Ray
Our party of 11 had a fantastic meal and overall dining experience. Our server was fast, friendly and courteous. The atmosphere is awesome! Very authentic to New Orleans. Our party's only complaint is that for parties of 8 and larger they put all expenses on one ticket and automatically add 20% gratuity. It was a nightmare trying to separate the bill between our group. In reality, the time it took us to separate the bill, (20 minutes) they could have turned the table. So, if they think they are saving time, they are incorrect. Not to mention, it serves as a inconvenience and left us all frustrated with a couple saying they won't return. I personally will return and look forward to my next visit but it won't be with a large group.
Colby Phillips
Oysters and voodoo shrimp were excellent. Mushroom pasta probably had 2 sticks of butter in it but was still really good.
Brandon Johnson
Great food and would definitely go back again! Got some good recommendations on parking and what to get once we got seated
Paul Kineke
Loved it! Great atmosphere and service. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Food was superb. Nice selection of beers as well, and the outdoor seating area was so well done that it felt like you were transported from St. Louis to a more tropical destination. The parmesan fries are quite a treat.
Brian Meyers
Broadway Oyster Bar may not only be the best place in St Louis to get Cajun Louisiana style food but was probably the best Cajun Louisiana style food I had even compared to New Orleans. I could eat hear every day. It's a must visit if your in St Louis !!!! And if you live here it's the perfect place to entertain friends and family that come to visit. The food can not be beaten!!!! And the service is even better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😎
raquel hakkenberg
We loved this place!!! the environment was so fun, and very chill at the same time. we had the shrimp and grits, crab cakes, and a shrimp po boy. PLEASE come to Chicago so we can zeat your food often!! we traveled and stopped in. i will absolutely stop here again if we ever pass through St Louis again.
the only think i have to say is i wish the tables were a little more spaced out but the food just makes it worth it
started off with the crab cakes. YUM!!! served on fried green tomatoes. never had that, and i gotta say, it paired way to good with the crabcake. it was smothered in a delicious craw fish creamy sauce.
the shrimp and grits was cooked to perfection. the shrimp was so tender, and was swimming in an amazing creole sauce that paired with the fried grits. i had no choice but to finish my whole plate it was THAT good.
shrimp po boy was SO GOOD it was very refreshing. not to heavy as it had lots of veggies added and a lighter bread that was so perfectly yum.
and my drink was killer. forgot what it was called but it was super cute and yummy!
Cheers!!
J.Cole
OMG the Alligator sausage and shrimp cheese was amazing! I Smashed the Nola BBQ Shrimp and Fried Shrimp! Sooo sooo good!
Vi Vu
I had always wanted to try this place for years and finally made it happen, or rather, my boyfriend suggested it. It was a wonderful treat and greatly exceeded my expectations. From the outside, it appears to be a open air patio and seating area that caters to drinkers, but in reality, it showcases local live music and serves more than just "bar food".
Where do I start? The menu offers quite a variety of food, with a main focus on cajun and southern flavors. We ordered two different types of the baked oysters: Oysters Rockefeller and the Oysters Cardenal. Both came out piping hot, and served with lemon wedges on a plate of rock salt, as is the norm. The Oysters Rockefeller were rich and decadent, grilled with a cream sauce, topped with spinach and crabmeat. The Oysters Cardenal had a tomato based sauce topped with cheese and more cheese. It was a bit too rich for me. I also had the grilled pear salad, which was awesome! Loved it 100%. The salad consisted of field greens topped with a generous amount of dried cranberries, blue cheese crumbles, pecans, and of course, grilled pear. The dressing that comes with the salad is a house made sweet vinagrette that is just to die for. A perfectly balanced treat of sweet, tangy and acidic to tame down the sweetness of the fruit flavors. The flavors and textures blend together beautifully. I could come everyday just for this salad, that is how much I enjoyed it. We also ordered the honey chipotle wings, which were cooked perfectly; crisp edges on the outside, and floured just enough for the sauce to stick to it and juicy and tender on the inside. The sauce was satisfyingly saucy and with just the right amount of heat; a sweet flavor that warms to a slight spiciness. Lastly, we had the shrimp linguine with wild mushrooms. I am a mushroom lover, so I really enjoyed the earthy flavors that come from the mushrooms. The sauce was a light cream based sauce and served with a side of toasted garlic bread. Yum!
Overall, I really enjoyed the visit to this local establishment, rather, a local St. Louis institution. Service was good; prompt and attentive. I loved the history of the building, the eclectic decor and the variety of food offerings. There were so many more things that I wanted to try, but I will leave that for the next visit, which will not be too far off. ☆☆☆☆☆

We sat in the newly opened patio area . Pretty cool area but hard to hear because so many fans were running to keep it cool .
We had the blue point oysters recommended by the waiter . Really good . My 9 year old says they were the best that he has had . Also had the calamari. Very good but very small portion size for the cost in my opinion.
Shrimp tacos and shrimp po'boy were both good .
Service was ok.
gregg schwartz
This place looks like a dive and I really liked it! The have some craft beer, which some were local and that is awesome! The menu is more cajun and they even say they will make your stuff hotter if you want. The crawfish mac and cheese was amazing and just a little horseradish made it even better. The catfish poor boy was well worth it! The catfish was a nice thick cut piece piece of catfish. We also had really good service.
Angelica Smith
I've always enjoyed going to BOB, even in the midst of the pandemic they didn't disappoint with service and ambiance. Great food, live band, decent drinks makes for a great time.
Jolene Stecken
This place was totally a fun place. The bouncer was so funny. And they have a gender neutral bathroom. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Very busy place on the weekends. There are lots of stuff on the walls and doors to look at if your waiting on food. Service was friendly and the drinks came quickly. We didnt order food but it looked amazing. We will def be back.
Brittney Harris
Great choice all around. The causal vibe and relaxed atmosphere, the prompt staff, and the mouthwatering food were all fantastic. I highly recommend this local restaurant and plan to come back when we visit STL again.
*The bread pudding is a MUST!!!!
T. Gafford
We went there for their blue crab cakes. We also got the blackened ahi tuna sandwich, lobster po-boy, catfish po-boy & garlic cream linguine. All our food was exceptional. The staff was professional, efficient & friendly. Atmosphere was marvelous. Plus, these guys are in full compliance with the city's COVID-19 guidelines.
David Hong
Feels like I'm stepping into new Orleans for a bit. They have nice seafood appetizers, platters of oysters, and drinks. Came here for some classic new Orleans food like gumbo and it was delicious. love the atmosphere and the food. The only thing I don't like is the cover for the live band.
Martin Espinoza
I don't even like oysters, but this place had so many options that I had to give it a try and the Char grilled oysters just knocked my socks off!
The creole spices, garlic butter, and parmesan cheese complimented the meaty oysters. The bread pudding is delicious, but I decided to kick it up a notch by adding a shot of bourbon with cherries!
Brian Street
Great food and such a fun place!
The service was fantastic and all the staff were so friendly. They had live music going outside. We can't wait to go back. We had the sampler platter and the Crawfish enchiladas, both were great.
Melissa Lynn Dalal
This place was amazing!!! Great menu - portions are big so you can share if you are a couple. They had great Cajun dishes and the Parmesan fries were the best I've ever had. We came for lunch so we didn't hear any of the music but they have a nice stage area as well. Would recommend!!
yeny flor
Great, fun, and funky place with excellent live music and attentive service. Their Louisiana-esque restaurant is fun, with a varied menu, bound to have something for every one. I had the alligator tacos which were great save the fact they were served in flour tortillas instead of corn, but delicious nonetheless and a good introduction for. Those who'd never had alligator before. Overall a fun place, lovely service, love music, great atmosphere and wonderful food.
Owen Reeves
Ate everything, Blue Point Oysters on half she'll, freshest ever. Edwards Mussles in steamed sauce, Magnificent. Cajun styled Crawfish Boil, Excellent. A must do place near Baseball Village. Servers, Bartendress other customers, Top Shelf.
Richard Warren
My God this place was great! We sat at the bar and had a conversation with the staff that was just like talking to a friend. Put a $2 bill on the wall. The wing's sauce was very good; not too sweet with some kick. We had the jambalaya which was good (served with rice). Ask for the hot sauce that's not on the table. Even the bathroom (pictures shown) make it a very unique place to visit. You will not be disappointed if you truly like a bar feel but want better than bar food. We went around 7 without a ball game going on so it wasn't overly crowded, however I could see this place hopping on game day. If you haven't been here and you live in St. Louis, you have to ask yourself why not?
Skrim
If you haven't been, GO NOW! This is by far our favorite restaurant in town. We come for most birthdays etc and always start with our favorite, a huge serving of mussels. Literally EVERYTHING on the menu is excellent so if you try something new it's always a good choice, but the award winning Sampler Platter is a must. We just went last night for their Po' Boy & Taco festival. It was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is so eclectic and relaxed, the music is groovy, and everybody you talk to is having a good time. I'll be back as soon as I can.
Quo Life
Delicious shrimp linguini for my son but my jambalaya was okay (only had one shrimp for the whole dish). I told our server and she brought few more for me. Also the rice was too hard to chew. We do not like the atmosphere for inside seating near the bar area. It was too crowded! Also there are way too many decorations. Lastly, our food took a while!
Note: we called the restaurant on a Sunday night and they didn’t offer any take out because the restaurant was too busy.
Ian Brown
I'm writing this review for John, because it looks like he responds to every great review. (Love how you handled broccoli gate BTW).
Food: outstanding; Service: excellent (Laura and runners); Atmosphere: wood paneled jazz theme (dark and intimate in areas with neon signs). I agree with other reviewers and John, they're just not built to handle large groups with this space. Perhaps, you could work something out with them ahead of time, but other than that, I'd keep it to smaller groups.
My wife and I have been to NOLA several times and this seems pretty authentic from the seasoning down to the busy staff running around in t-shirts. The Gulf Oysters were well-shucked, but missing the saltines we requested (quickly fixed). My wife ordered the sample platter and I did a half-order of crab. We topped it all off with a couple of drinks and a bread pudding that rivals anything from NOLA. I think the true locals of STL really need to weigh-in, because this is a place that you'd want to go to several times to see their consistency.
For a one-off experience, my wife and I were thoroughly pleased. Keep doing what you're doing.
Joey Essma
I don't remember the name of our waiter, unfortunately, but he was a bald headed gentleman that was incredibly helpful, nice, and polite. Very friendly guy who had our drinks and food out very fast! I was having trouble deciding between a few different entrees, and he helped out which was much appreciated!
The food was very, very good. We're from out of town, but after the service and the food, we'll definitely be back next time we're in St Louis! The atmosphere was really cool and the service was great!
Nikki Messenger
Food and service is always good, wish we could have sat inside where it was warmer and quieter but then again, we should have asked for that and didn't!
Garrett Kapelski
Delicious, hot, fresh cuisine and fantastic drinks make the Broadway Oyster Bar a must-stop destination for food lovers. The menu features cajun favorites and house specialties alike. Their fried shrimp is impeccable, and the whiskey tea cocktail is second to none. Been here multiple times and try to stop whenever I'm in STL.
Rais Mujahid
The oysters were phenomenal! The Chipotle wings were magnificent and the services was impeccable! Everything was great! A wonderful experience overall!
Denise
This place is on the edge of town and a little tricky to get to because of construction, but well worth the effort. The wall facing the parking lot is painted with a festive mural. There is a bar with plenty of seating and live music outside. Inside is cozy and reminiscent of New Orleans. The food is Cajun and everything has heat to it, so be mindful. Everything was tasty and service was informative, courteous and professional. We will definitely return when we're in St Louis again!
Jonathan Baranick
Food is excellent! Gator tacos, yum! Decor is fun! Live music is so good!
Elisha Giesler
Took our daughter here for her 26th birthday and everyone was so friendly! The food was to die for! Will definitely be back.
George Card Guy
Broadway Oyster Bar is awesome! Best food I have eaten in St.Louis. This place would hold up in any city. Great atmosphere, great staff. Best of all, different and outstanding food. We had the voo-doo shrimp for an appetizer, on the menu it said it was hot(maybe if you aren't into spicy food) it was so good. I ordered the crawfish burritto, my first time eating crawfish. It was like a mix between shrimp and chicken, it was perfection. I loved everything about this place. If I could give it a six, I would!
Joseph Jacob
Great music and drinks. The food is even better. This is the BEST place to have dinner here before a Cardinals game.
Roger Peter
Winner of a number of people's choice awards since forever, Broadway Oyster Bar, has been on our must visit list of places for a while now and we finally made it there today.
An hour's worth of wait is a minimum expectation you should go with but the service is really quick when you're seated. BOB has a few signature sauces that you should try and will like.
The regular food menu is up until 11pm and then they have an appetizer menu after then.
Ronald Winker
Lots of fun with excellent Cajun cuisine. Alligator, catfish, oysters and everything that makes you feel the Mississippi River bayou. Local beers on draft too for a wonderful time. Just south of the ballpark. Highly recommend with a Cardinal game. Enjoy and let the good times roll!
Cheryle Bolin
Food was good. Very busy and packed. They have live music two times a day. Michelle was a awesome waitress.
Hemanth Krishnappa
Good food with live music! Chargrilled Oysters & Shrimp Voodoo are our favorites.
The Big K
Fun place and good vibes. Live band was great, however their music is at a volume that will obstruct table conversations. The shrimps and oysters are excellent. The Jambalaya was mediocre.
Isaac Schmitt
Great food, service, and music. We sat outside and loved the laid back atmosphere. We will come back again and again!
Kylie Buer
This food was amazing!! Could not recommend more to someone who wants a laid back place to eat good food. It’s filled with amazing things to look at during your eating experience and very attentive, friendly staff. My sister got the Gumbo and ate all of it and I had the crab cakes which were amazing! They have a slight heat to them but I think it made them unique and delicious! And the bread pudding dessert is to DIE for, if you’ve never had it then this is an excellent place to try it. If you like Cajun then come check it out the next time you’re in STL.
Mark T
Stopped in on a Friday and would have had a 30 minute wait, but opted for a table on the patio where there was immediate searing, but a cover for the band (no issues as I wanted to see them). Surprised that it was warm as it was a cool night. Food was good as well as the service. I'll definitely return.
Elle Lewis
It was our first Cardinals game this year! We decided to do lunch before the game and I’m very happy with our choice. The Broadway Oyster Bar is a great spot for before the game, after the game, lunch, dinner, meet up spot for family/friends! Drinks are great! Food selections are so good! Try the crab cakes! Those come with fried green tomatoes. The catfish is sooo good. Their Cajun fries yum! Who doesn’t love fish tacos!? 😋 I always enjoy myself there! This trip was with family. We were all loving the food/drinks. One warning…have patience, they get busy if there is a Cardinals or Blues game.
Cindy Leeson
Good food and atmosphere is awesome. Would come back to this place.
Recommend the alligator sausage & shrimp cheesecake, char grilled oysters and sampler platter.
Ryan Smith
Some of the best food that I've ever had in St Louis! The french fries are out of this world, and the rest of the food is equally as good. The only downside, we sat outside on a hot day. It felt like sitting in a sauna while we were eating our food.
Naked Gamer
As a tourist i say, this place is must. If you love seafood this is for you, if you don't like, this is still for you, cause you will love seafood after that. I'm from Finland, so prices was quite reasonable even cheap for my point of view. But yeah really great place, great food and great staff. Wish i can come back someday.
Deana Prater
We were visiting St. Louis for the weekend and just happened upon the Broadway Oyster Bar. I loved the atmosphere! Everyone was so nice and the vibe was amazing. As for the food....I have never had shrimp and grits this good. Our server warned me that they were "different" than others. That was an under statement! They were so good I didn't want to swallow! Do yourself a favor and check them out!
Melissa Nilges
Great atmosphere. Food was fantastic. I recommend the fish tacos! Will definitely be back!
Charlotte Torres
We found this place on a trip to St. Louis on Google and it was a treasure! Great Good, service and atmosphere. I came back Monday before the Cubs-Cardinals game. Found out that they actually give tickets out for the next day game!! As well as bottles of water you can take into the stadium. Great place. Thanks for the hospitality
Sayo Taiwo
Ugh where to start?! Love it's unpretentious-ness (word?) from the outside in. The hosts at the door are efficient, friendly and COVID conscious (yes!). It's snug seating but they manage to keep parties an appropriate distance. The servers deserve heavy tips (especially Will!)-they are fast and awesome. Live music is always fun. The drinks are strong and tasty. Now the food. The. Food. Simply put? Deliciousness. The alligator cheesecake. Bomb. The sampler platter is what I always and each time I tell myself I'll decide what's best on there but I just can't! The friend shrimp. Bomb. I will probably keep going once a month...
Samantha C. Barreda
Came here from Chicago on a road trip with my dad. He is a big oyster fan! We tried the raw ones, delicious (but something like what he has had before) then we tried the Medley oyster platter. It is 3 different kinds of baked oysters, he loved them! He had never had them cooked! Our waitress, which I didn't catch her name (they were so busy and definitely understaffed, so please be kind!) was amazing! We got lucky that when we got there we were able to sit outside!! Great start to our St.Louis trip! Would definitely come back (but travel rule is, don't go to the same place twice!) And highly recommend it!
Sari Lynch
We loved this place and are so grateful we went here! Live music was awesome.....food was great......service was great.....people were super friendly!!
Reggie Fluker
Shrimp and fried grits was the best shrimp and grit variation I have ever had. Very delicious.
Jennifer Willis
Very delicious. I enjoyed it. Got todays special. Grilled salmon with a shrimp cream sauce cajun rice and garlic broccoli. Cant wait to go back and try more. A must try. They have gator too. I have been thinking about trying it.
Reba Eads
Great food, drinks and service! Atmosphere was a tad crowded and dated, but the oysters made up for it.
T Ev
Great dinner tonight. We had boiled crawfish, boiled shrimp, chargrilled oysters, hurricanes, crabcakes and voodoo shrimp. The voodoo shrimp and the char grilled oysters are absolutely delicious! The owner suggested the char grilled oysters and they did not disappoint.
Amber Bauer
Great food, great vibe, and great service. Already looking forward to our next visit.
Stacy Leisinger
We loved everything we ordered! Excellent food and atmosphere - felt and tasted like New Orleans. You MUST try the Voodoo Shrimp!
Jason Watts
Always a great place to meet friends and have a great meal. It goes without saying the oysters are great. I prefer them grilled but you can'tgo wrong with any style. But the grinders are maybe the best sandwich ever! Keep it up, we'll be back again soon.
Lilya Woodburn
I wish I could give this place 6 stars, it was that good. It's a true hole-in-the-wall place, looks unassuming but is clearly popular with the locals. I ordered the oyster trio, the crawfish bisque, the bread pudding, and a couple cocktails, and everything was downright phenomenal. The service was wonderful and I had a couple different bar staff kindly check on me as I started to get tipsy. So glad I randomly stumbled upon this place on a day I wasn't even supposed to be in St Louis, will definitely be coming back next time I travel here!
Katelyn Frank
Came in with a group of 14 on a Saturday. They don't do reservations for those busier nights but had us seated within 20 minutes. Just beware they don't split checks for groups over 6! The service and food were all fantastic though! Well always keep coming back!
Faisal Sheikh
Such a staple in the STL scene, and rightfully so. Great cocktails, awesome Cajun food and the best live music. And all that on a covered heated patio! Great place.
Brandon Rask
This place has your stereotypical dive bar atmosphere. It's certainly not a place that you'd look at and expect great food; however, looks can be deceiving. I'm a dive bar fan so loved the atmosphere. I started with a beer and a dozen blue point oysters...amazing. I then had the voodoo shrimp...equally amazing. I would have gone outside to experience the live music had it not been for the 95 degree temperatures. If I find my way back to St. Louis, I'll be back.
Eric Hawley
Atmosphere, service and most importantly food was amazing! Especially enjoyed the Alligator Sausage cheesecake, oysters and voodoo shrimp tacos, Will definitely be back.
Elisabeth Skaggs
Our service was amazing, the food was spot on, and the alcohol choices were varied and delicious! We definitely will come to St. Louis just to eat here again!
Elizabeth F.
Food and drinks were excellent. We had the cheesecake appetizer, the sampler platter, and shrimp enchiladas! And of course tried an oyster. Our server was great. Arrive early because you'll probably have a wait for a table. But it's so worth it.
Archer's Arrows by Chele
We’ve eaten here twice for dinner when we travel for business events. The service is good and the food is fabulous. We were introduced to the alligator cheesecake and it did not disappoint as a savory starter! I’m already looking forward to our next trip back!
Laurel Sherman
Crawfish enchiladas were awesome!
The staff was super friendly and helped us find parking.
Deonna King
I am a oyster lover and not an expert at opening them up but these oysters had so many fragments of the shell linked to the oyster it was scary eating them. I couldn't even finish them. The service was okay. Our table kept wobbling which wasn't ideal but I would repeat just not for the oysters but the entertainment.
BOBBIE STEWART
Best place to eat in St. Louis. The atmosphere is very cool to experience. Shrimp and grits were awesome!
Michael Kelley
Try the Oysters Nola with the Gulf Oysters, they were fresh and delicious. Also the sampler gives you a good taste of various gumbos and jambalayas. Friendly staff, good ambiance (especially outdoors). A little noisy after an event at Busch stadium and there live music acts are just...OK. Go with a group, should be a good time!
Delta Fajardo
Phenomenal! It was busy, but the hour wait was WORTH IT!!!! Everything tasted great. We ordered the oyster medley, char oysters, crab dip, crawfish...even the grilled cheese sandwich was great! We also had the bread pudding, and loved that, too. I recommend go in a group and everyone order something different and share. Best decision we made!!! Price was typically for the kind of food we had. They do not split checks, so either decide to pay for yourself even if you share, or do one check and everyone else just pays you. Now, I know the outside looks sketchy, BUT it adds to the authenticity! I took pictures of the menu and entry area, but they have lots of dining seating inside as well as outside seating.
Trumpetcat1
Fantastic food. Great service. Cozy, fun atmosphere. If you enjoy a bit of southern comfort foods, this might be for you. The menu is full of delicacies. Though my first time, it won’t be my last. This is a must even if just passing through.
Angela Ponce
This place was amazing. The environment was great, they had live music. The food was delicious. I had a vodoo shrimp po boy sandwich with Parmesan fries. I didn’t really taste the spice for those of you who wonder whether it’s spicy.
Travels with Debbie & Randy
Fun but unique restaurant. Delicious food with a wait staff that is friendly. You must go! Live bands every night.
Andrew Hester
Food was great, and server Samantha was awesome.
Syd Law
First time here. The food was amazing. Was a little scared that the food would be too hot for me (Ima wimp lol) but it wasn't bad. No complaints 🙂. …
Kaime Stuart
Last night was the first time here and it was delicious. We tried a variety of things including Voodoo shrimp tacos, crab cakes, bienville oysters(first time trying an oyster) and the shrimp and wild mushroom pasta. I would recommend any of them. They also had a band on the patio that was great. We will be back!
Trista Bledsoe
Food was amazing and priced decently especially for the portions. $15 for 6 Rockefeller oysters, $16 for the crawfish Mona, HUGE bowl. $21 for shrimp, wild mushroom linguini. $15 for a muffaletta. Service was awesome. Waiters were so friendly and accommodating. Nice little establishment despite the location. Nice atmosphere inside. The only bad thing was one set of bathrooms, unless you wanted to go outside.
Carlos Villanueva
Great food, good vibes!
E B
The food was fabulously delicious. Oyster trio, shrimp and mushroom pasta, catfish, jambalaya, it was all good. Now the test is when we come back will it be just as good ...to be continued 😋😆
Melissa T
So good! The blue oysters were the best, we also tried the sausage and gator cheesecake that the waitress recommended and it was surprisingly savory and delicious. They have a cover charge if you stay to hear the band, great place, highly recommend if you are in the area and in the mood for cajun or seafood.
Margaret Schettler
Best place for NOLA food north of NOLA. Voodoo sauce and shrimp is fantastic! All the food we had was great, and terrific service. Cannot say enough great things about this funky place!!
Loganandh Natarajan
Best Oysters and Crawfish!! Quite delicious dishes. Do try their New Orleans cocktail.
Jeff Nordstrom
Excellent food, but drinks leave me wanting more. I had the crayfish enchiladas with Cajun rice and they were fantastic. The service was excellent.
Ember McCall
Music. Delightful food. This was awesome. I had oysters and cream dip while my friend had a fried chicken sandwich. Both were fabulous. Would absolutely go again. Nice easy walk from baseball stadium or the Hilton. Expect a wait, so call ahead on busy nights.
ScreenCat *
Delightfully surprised, this place has great food, and a nice New Orleans atmosphere, we really enjoyed the Crawfish, shrimp, fried calamary, soup of the day and crawfish enchiladas, and all of it was of great quality, excellent flavor!
This place is fast pace due to the crowd size they handle.
Amanda Lubinski
ALWAYS awesome food, great service and good music. Cajun done right. Always get the fish special and seafood stew. Obvi, the Blue Points as well.
Mickeya Moore
I think I had an out of body experience eating their food. Dare I say one of the best places in St. Louis to get a great meal. Though being the critic I am I do have to take a couple points off for inconsistency in recipes. Ijs! But beyond that CAPITAL DELICIOUS AND HOMEMADE!
Lauren Montagne
Fun bar with live music. Walking distance from the Gateway Arch. Enjoyed local craft beer, alligator and catfish! Go visit if you're in that area!
Jason DeBates
Cool vibe with great food. Loved the crawfish enchiladas!
Sandra Martin
Loved the food, atmosphere and the staff! Great place to eat while in St. Louis!
Phil Cutchins
We love this place! We hit it every year on our way down to Florida and it has yet to disappoint whether you're sittin outside enjoying the live bluesy/folk music or inside this divine cajun flavor will hit home. It is a must if you're in St Louis
John D
Food was fantastic! The fried gator, voodo shrimp and etouffe were all above what I expected. I look forward to eating there again soon. Btw voodoo sauce is spot on, I used it on the gator too.
Donna Riemann
One of my favorite places to show visitors to The Lou. Fun and funky with awesome food and music.
Kimberlee Mathews
Atmosphere and food were phenomenal. Slept on this place for years and wish we would've came sooner! Super good, one of the best food joints in STL hands down 🙏 …
Gordie Hanna
Really great food and excellent staff. People aren't kidding when they say this is one of the best places to eat in town! Inside the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible.
Sarah
This place is a absolute must to eat at. We didn’t have a single bad thing. The shrimp po’ boy was one of the best I’ve had. The oysters medley was to die for. Cajun fries. I mean, I could go on.
Natauzzia Cole
The best oysters I've had. Try the oyster medley (they're all cooked). Pricey but worth it. About $15.99 for half dozen. To go order turned out great.
Toni Smith
This place is outstanding,, FOOD IS DELICIOUS and the atmosphere is comfortably casual... Steffanie and ( sorry I can't recall her name)the girl she was training was fabulous, we never went needing anything because they did their job so well and worked as a team !
I've worked in the food service industry for over 40 years and I don't get the chance to rate 5 stars often but "Broadway Oyster Bar" deserves it.
It was as delicious as ANY coastal restaurant I have been, and we travel quite often.
We enjoyed the fresh oysters first, then shared the "Shimp Mac n cheese" and "garlic shrimp linguini" it was amazing,,, 9 out if ten for sure...the only way to make it a perfect 10 was to have gotten a slice of the garlic toast on each pasta dish !!!!
CONGRATULATIONS CREW YOU GUY'S KNOW HOW TO ROCK IT OUT !!!!
Janie Perez
Love the atmosphere , music good service friendly bartenders, Eddie 9V was fantastic!
Arvic Macapagal
Gulf shore oysters - first things first, they are attached. They're on the mid sweet range on the buttery briney spectrum.
Etouffee - Wife said it was great. I am not a fan. But i ate it fine.
Shrimp/Grits - very good. Creamy, spicy, great portions.
Ray Mayginnes
I ate the entree portion of "Uncle Charlie's Creole Jambalaya" and it was great. Live music (Soulard Blues Band) started after dinner and made the evening complete.
Preston Todd Bradford
The lobster mac & cheese is by far the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had in 58 years. The rum punch seemed a little weak however.
Jeff Jenkins
Great atmosphere. Kid friendly. Menu was just what we were looking for. Alligator and shrimp off the appetizer menu are both fantastic. Jambalaya was excellent as was my crawfish po-boy. Great service! Will be back!
William Zeszutko
Awesome seafood cajun food. What a fun atmosphere with live music. The staff is knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. Great microbrew selection. One of my coworkers thought his vodka cran was light but he might be a lush. Ha! The beer was certainly potent.
Tabitha Yancey
They NEVER disappoint! Chargrilled oysters, shrimp voodoo, and bread pudding are my fave go tos!
Benjy Wang
Went here with a small group. It was a great place to eat and talk. Food was great although a little on the heavy side.
Heather Watts
When we arrived we were told a 45 minute.wait time (which was fine because I really wanted to try this place), we were seated and had drinks within 15 minutes! The server was prompt and we were never waiting on refills! Even when my clumsy boyfriend spilt his water! 😂 The food was amazing, I had fried gator and the crab leg meal! The crab legs had the best seasoning and the green beans were AMAZING. We will definitely stop by here every time we make a trip to St. Louis!
Melissa Lareau
We had an amazing meal. Service last time was lacking but that is not usually the case. I have seen many live shows at BOB. There is usually live music. And always great food.
Melissa Barnett
I miss few things about St. Louis, but Broadway Oyster Bar is highly missed. This place is great. Strong drinks and great food. I live for the alligator cheesecake and shrimp voodoo. The oysters are not shabby either. Location is perfect to come by after a Cards game. Highly suggest!!
Ru Z
Homey. Relaxed. Down home cooking. DELICIOUS PO' BOYS AND GUMBO!! Next time we'll stay long enough to enjoy the live entertainment. Had such a great time!
Joyce Nelson
The service was poor and we left the place. It wasn't my idea to go there it was a relative idea. Honestly, I don't eat oysters and it worked out for me to leave the place. No hard feelings just saying.
Makeup byMel
As usual, amazing food, amazing service, amazing drinks and some of the best live music in the city on a weekly basis!
Melinda B.
Absolutely wonderful! Shrimp and grits and the blacken ahi tuna fajitas (add a side of voodoo sauce) 10/10!!!! Highly recommended
Trish K
Loved the atmosphere & decor. We were seated quickly. Lindsey was a great server & offered great food descriptions. Alligator & shrimp seafood cheesecake was very savory. Everything else (etoufee, wings, fried catfish, snow crabs, friend shrimp, shrimp linguini) was mediocore. -visiting from Houston, Tx

Broadway Oyster bar has become our go to place for date night. Whether celebrating a big event, or just dropping in before a game, this place has the best food, amazing drinks, a killer atmosphere and you can come as you are and fit in no matter what. Keep killing it Broadway Oyster Bar!
Jim Rawcliffe
Quite honestly one of the best places I have ever eaten. Brilliant attitude, great defor. Food was second none and the live music was fantastic.
Dana Lehr
I don't like that there are no separate
checks. One person feels they have to pick up the tab. But the food is great.
Marcus Rodgers
The staff and the food was great!
Lee Simpson
It’s always busy in this historic little St. Louis bar and eatery and with a great atmosphere and food selection rightly so . I tried the oyster sampler and the bread pudding and both were excellent .
James Sindler
Fantastic food and even better atmosphere. We had Drinks, Oysters and Shrimp Cocktail. All were amazing and flavorful. Live Blues started up half way through our meal and was perfect entertainment for hanging out.
Ian
This place is the best any time of day and day of the year. Gotta love the home town crowd and the very tasty food. Can't forget to mention the live music. You won't leave disappointed!
Charms
Great atmosphere; Fantastic Live Music, friendly staff who do their jobs well. Brava Broadway Oyster Bar.
DMari J-L
The food and service are amazing!! However. If you are in a group. Talk about how you all will pay. They Do not Split checks.
Michael Beebe
I’ve eaten here before and loved the place so I had to come back. I’m not in New Orleans, but this is about the best I’ve had outside of it and even better than a few places on Bourbon. No wonder this is a top rated restaurant in St. Louis.
Cheryl Vost
Awesome atmosphere, fantastic staff, most delicious food!! Will definitely come back!
M B
Love the atmosphere. Lively but not uncomfortable. Might be uncomfortable on a hot day, but plenty of tables available with shade. Water glass was never empty! Lunch portion was perfect. I felt the shrimp and grits were good, but a little overpriced for the effort. Music may be a little too loud for young children.
Darien Camie
Great food, cold drinks, and top notch bands!
JJ O
This place gave a local bar vibe. I came in was instantly greeted. I chose to eat in the outside bar area. Lobster poboy was pretty damn good. Beers were alright priced compared to the average in the city. I love a great dive bars and thats what this place seemed like to me. I would go again.
Rebecca Markley
I'm from Florida and take for granted the many opportunities for fresh seafood available to us. So, needless to say, I've been disappointed with all venues in St. Louis not only for quality of food, but poor service as well. That is until I discovered Broadway Oyster Bar. The vibe was awesome! Food (fried oysters and pasta w/lobster and wild mushrooms) was phenomenal. The entertainment at 9pm was rockin it with the blues. Casey provided excellent service and Jennifer tweaked the night with her thoughtfulness. Thanks BOB! I may be back tomorrow night.
Crystal staggs
Great place workers are good and fast the drinks were small and not very strong for the price of them
Stephen Arnett
Enjoyed dinner tonight after a visit to StiL630 and it was wonderful. We hadn't been since the restaurant temporarily closed for some remodeling. My wife had the crawfish enchiladas and I had the crawfish etoufee. Both were excellent and the service was great as well. I highly recommend. When you walk in the restaurant, you have the option to eat inside but on nights like tonight, there is outdoor dining that makes you feel as if you are in NOLA.
kat Moller
Nice staff. Ordered NOLA Oysters. Very close to New Orleans style oysters. Just a bit to much salt in the mix.
We live in Louisiana and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of our food.
Loved the bread pudding!
Nicole Markowski
Always amazing food this place has only gotten better with time!!
donald maas
Great bar downtown st. Louis
Chris Crawford
I had the Crawfish Mona because the cute waitress recommended it. My son had the sampler. It was better than some of the places we've eaten at in the South. The waitress can pick out my lunch anytime! Great atmosphere. Highly recommended!!!
Jim Frehley
I'm going to get the negatives out of the way up front. The location and parking to get to this establishment isn't the best. With that out of the way I love coming here. The food is consistently good as well as the service. We usually sit in the patio area that's covered and heated. It's a unique place and has a good vibe about it. I usually get the sampler platter that runs around $18 and my daughter usually gets a pasta or chicken dish that runs from 15 to $18. The photo attached is a chicken dish that I can neither spell nor pronounce. UPDATE: added a picture of the sampler platter
Don Pridemore Jr (RadioDJtheDJ)
Amazing food and service! Outdoor patio provided perfect atmosphere for the flavor parade happening in our mouths!
Ryan H
Great food and atmosphere! My wife and I are not oyster fans, but we heard that there were plenty of other great things on the menu; including the alligator sausage cheesecake and the fish tacos, which we ordered and they were incredible. We also tried the grilled oysters since we were there and we were pleasantly surprised; they tasted great; we would definitely order them again. I highly recommend Broadway Oyster Bar for anyone in St Louis or visiting!!!
braxmet
Had a large group and no reservation. Madeleine made sure we were seated quickly and staff was great, food was awesome and beer was cold.
Miranda Riley
Had a great time and delicious food
PRAYINGMANTIC (Aaron)
Had a wonderful time watching Fleetwood & Family perform and Tree One Four (The band).
Great food too! Excellent service!
Tong Liu
By far, some of the best Creole food I've ever had outside if Louisiana! The sampler is best and the aligator was delicious... not too much breading and the dipping sauce was perfect!
Owen Skarpness
So many delicious seafood options!! The Nola Oysters were out of this world, mostly due to the savory magic in that sauce! The Voodoo Shrimp were also spectacular for similar reason, but also fried to absolute perfection. Lastly, the "Gator Cheesecake" was closer to a quiche or even a cheese dip, yet still packed a rich and decadent punch, full up with spicy sausage and cheese. Don't let the casual decor fool you, these are serious eats! Easily some of the best in-land seafood I've ever had. Broadway Oyster Bar has easily earned a spot on my short list to return to next trip!
Life with Riley an Khloe Sister
The shrimp & grits were very delicious and on point. The wings were great and the drinks were also good. The only thing that I did not like was being asked if we were staying for the band while we were still eating and drinking. They wanted us to pay an additional $10 for the band. I did not like that after we were already there spending lots of money.
Gacha_flame Xd
It wasn’t bad! It’s definitely a nice was to go to for unique foods, drinks, and fun! But, there are some cons. It can get REALLY cramped on most days. That’s why I suggest you go to your meal a little earlier than other people do. (If you don’t want to be crowded.) but it isn’t that big of a deal. Next, it’s kind of not worth it to book a reservation here. I booked a reservation, sat by someone who just showed up with no reservation, and they actually got served before us. Other than that, it’s a great place! It’s good for dates and family time.
Diana Mohr
The chargrilled oysters are our absolute favorite! Love the $1 oysters on half shell. Dinner service and seating can be slow but it's worth the wait and understandable. We went a few days ago during lunch and everything was prompt... And delicious as usual!. Snagged a few before we snapped a pic... We couldn't wait :)
Marla Gaddy
Great food and service!
Tara Carter-Case
The alligator is delicious Shrimp po' Boy can't go wrong, Voodoo shrimp tacos oh yeah very yummy
Dr. Mia Su Cary she, her
Broadway Oyster Bar your food and drinks are delish, your vibe is on point, and your people are lovely. We'll definitely be back!
Jess Beuhler
Good atmosphere and good service. We had oysters of all kinds that were good and the etouffe which was alright. The vegetables could have been cut smaller to blend better with the overall meal. The biggest issue I had was having to split the check between myself and the others with me. It's not something that I think I should have to do when the restaurant has the POS to easily split the check. Like this is 2019 and the technology exist to make the dining experience for the customer as best as possible without having to split the check out selves and determine what each person owes.
Alicia Bell
Delicious as always. I had a $30 Groupon and stopped by for curbside. I ordered the fish tacos, bread pudding and a hurricane to go. Best fish tacos ever and everything was packaged so neatly for it to be a to go order. This is my favorite restaurant, so I will definitely return. The lady who took my order over the phone was also very friendly and gave me recommendations on how to warm my bread pudding at home. She was very pleasant.
Audri Beugelsdijk
The ambiance of this oyster bar was fun and our waitress was great. The only dish I can speak to is the grouper, which I found a bit over cooked. Everyone else in my group loved their meals and we would go back.
Jacob Z
I went with the assumption that it was going to be a high class oyster bar. I arrived to a eccentric and authentic bar and restaurant. The fried shrimp, lobster po boy sandwich, and garlic parmesan french fries were pretty good. The fried alligator was kind of rubbery. This could have been due to that being my first time trying alligator though.
Tracy Bell
Service was great and the food was excellent. I had the Broadway Blooze and the Shrimp and Grits. Both was awesome combination. Looking forward to trying out other food on the menu!
rob fischer
Live music, delicious oysters, gumbo, crawfish etouffee, happy staff, and a relaxed rundown atmosphere make this a worthy destination. While it's a bar, they are very accommodating for children and they do have high chairs, butter noodles, chicken strips, and grilled cheese. But you're probably an adult, so get yourself a sazerac, some grilled oysters, etouffee and a local craft beer. Sit back and imagine you're in New Orleans for a bit.
J Stinnett
What Can't I say about this place. Friendly staff. Great bartenders, great atmosphere. The food... Omg.. the food! The Oysters were off the chain. The alligator... Best I have ever had. The Bread Pudding, I don't care how full you are; ORDER IT!
Reyna Alfaro-Joya
Love the drinks, hurricane. Their poboy's are extremely tasty. Their lobster soup is vary tasty!!! I never had a bad plate of food.
Jillian Schmidt
Awesome food! It was 75 bucks for 4 people! They have good portions and delicious food! We were really impressed!
Glenn Schlottman
Great find! I found this place on a suggestion from a friend and it delivered. The Creole food is so good. I had the shrimp and grits - so delicious! And they have an outstanding local beer selection. It is steps from Busch Stadium and a most stop on any visit to St. Louis.
Jody Harris Asher
Great Cajun atmosphere, excellent friendly service, always great music, food and drinks. This is one of my family’s favorite places.
Cindy La
After going to New Orleans a couple times this past year, I still like the chargrilled oysters here the best. And that's comparing them to Drago's and Acme Oyster. The outdoor seating is awesome, well-lit, and it's overall a great place to hang out with friends. Get the gator tacos too!
Mark Harris
Delicious cajun creole food, a focus on seafood and oysters. . . I know, imagine that lol. We had the Crawfish Mac & Cheese, Voodoo Tacos & a side of garlic parmesan fries. Good portions and delicious.
Really neat atmosphere. Live bands on several evenings. One block from busch stadium.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff (especially KELLY !!). We had a blast and the excellent service added to the experience.
Would recommend & we'll be back.
Branden Furlow
I got the Blue oysters by the dozen. Also got the catfish filet with red beans and rice and two cornbread. It's not actually on the menu, but they will do it for you. Then I still had room so I got another 12 of the Gulf oysters. They were slightly larger then the previous batch.
Ebony Polk
Went in there to celebrate my friend’s birthday we caught an early lunch. Our waitress Jasmin was amazing. Very attentive and made great conversation. The food was great we ordered crab cakes, fried oysters , shrimp and grits, and linguine. I will for sure be back and will recommend to others.
Dan McLaughlin
Always great food . Had a table by the fireplace . Awesome !
I film ok
If you wanna have a good meal and see a some good live music I highly recommend the Broadway Osyster Bar.
Korbyn Vigil
Service was awesome, but my partner and I weren't fans of the shrimp tacos or the jambalaya gumbo sampler.
The fried alligator and oysters were amazing though!
Nice hangout, but maybe we have different tastes!
Alicia M
Walking distance from the baseball stadium. It's a cool dive bar but I would not want to walk to it at night. Indoor and outdoor seating, my husband and I sat at the bar. Affordable drinks, local beers and the bartender was very friendly. Gave us the history of the bar which was cool to hear. The baked oysters are good but very rich.
Erica Yetter
This place is the best! We come everytime were in St Louis. As people from New Orleans this is closest we can get to home until we go back to visit the family.
Ryan Hight
Such a true New Orleans vibe! Delicious oysters with lots of options. Great fries! Very nice and attentive staff.
Skyler Fox
This place was super neato! Awesome atmosphere, server was on point. Good sized portions, and you better get an order of Oysters Rockefeller while you're there.
Dana Richardson
Food experience was good and divetsity of meals for a Sampler Plate try this one time it's just what you wanted!
Mac McDaniel
This is still one of favorite places to be. Great food, great staff, great entertainment. This night one of the customers sitting next to us on the patio blessed us by paying for our meal🙏🏾! #PayingItForward
Amy K. Holmes
Had a great time! So amazing to see live music again after the last year. Shrimp & grits were incredible! Steven Woolley was an excellent musician, we'll be watching to see when he plays next!
Julio Herrera
Amazing food fair pricing quick service. A must visit restaurant if your in town. So worth it!
Benjamin -
Amazing atmosphere, unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Food was outstanding. Live music was fantastic.
Jason McMullen
A little bit pricey, but the food was fantastic! Wife loved the pasta, my son loved the fried oysters, and the oyster medley was fantastic! Highly recommended!
Chelsea Adams
The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, but if you're looking for authentic Cajun/Creole food, this isn't the place. The alligator bites were well seasoned and tasty. The po-boys were skimpy on meat and improperly dressed. We were also pretty disappointed with the cocktails. Given the price point, we expected a little more.
Kayla Hensley
The best po boy I've had since New Orleans and the Char-Grilled Oysters are amazing!!
Jaime Cavazos
Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was Louisiana spot on! Definitely stopping from now on every time I can make it to St. Louis.
Ashley Adams
We had an awesome time. Live band, great food and drinks
Chaney Jewell
Amazing food and great service! I highly recommend their gumbo and red beans and rice. One thing to note: if you are in a large party they will only seat you if your entire party is there, and they do not split the check. Is it inconvenient? Yes. Is their food still worth it? Also, yes.
Mysfit Dani
Went a few days ago with my sister! The menu has shrunk since the last time I came prior to COVID-19. I was really looking forward to getting the calamari, but it was no longer a part of the menu. Bummer ! But, I got the Lobster Po’ Boy sandwich with Cajun fries pictured below! So many people had been raving to me about it, so I decided to try it out. It was just okay to me! Not very flavorful in my opinion. I could have gotten something else and been happier! However, the Cajun fries were BOMB! My sister got the Crawfish Mona pasta and it was VERY delicious! Very flavorful and seasoned very well! I almost wished I would have gotten it! For drinks, we got BOB’s Sangaria! It was SO good and gets you to where you need to be! I was actually shocked that it was only $8! The service was great and we didn’t wait a long time for our food /drinks either! Overall, I love Broadway Oyster Bar and will be returning soon!
JWIEGRAFFE
This funky little spot is truly a gem in downtown STL. Great vibes, great music, great food, great beer. What else is there to mention? If you like seafood and/or Cajun, you need this place in your life.
faysal shalabi
Food was great. Staff was amazing. Had to wait a while to get our food, but that was made up for. Definitely recommend
Darryl Jones
This place has a real "St. Louis" feel, especially when you dine outside. We had east coast raw oysters (grouped as "Blue Point") that were fresh and delicious. The fried oysters were plump and juicy with a bit of cajun spice that "maybe" competes with the flavor a little, but is probably how most people would prefer.
Sean Kelly
A little overpriced if you ask me. Food was good but had a lot of rice. The decor and ambiance is pretty cool.
gaddychick
Great food and service!!!
Amy C
We love Broadway Oyster bar! They are doing great with social distancing and outdoor dining!
Chackie Jan
This is a "must go" spot in STL. The vibe is awesome! Good food, drinks and of course....MUSIC. The cover charge was a little high in my opinion, and the are isn't the safest. Best bet is to uber there to avoid your car getting broken into.
john sadler
Always amazing, never a let down. Didn't stay for music this time, but the food was perfect like always!
Fernando Álvarez
Food is great and service is excellent. I recommend to make a reservation.
Hussain
Great Oysters! Highly recommend the Alligator Bites.
Jed Quinn
Husband loved the gulf oysters. Fun vibe and great service. Loved the crawfish bisque! Can't wait to come back when there is music!
Julie Wheeler
I always Love this place, it's a great date night and you don't have to drive all the way into StL if you're coming from the IL side.
Brad Thornsberry (backsspace)
This has been the best meal I've had in STL, pretty much ever.
I couldn't make up my mind, and got a sampler which was exactly what I needed. But I also tried the Lobster mushroom fettuccine and it was so very yummy. And of course the Oysters were quality!
I'm so happy we ended up here, it will be a must eat next time in town.
Kim Miles
OMG! Best night ever! Biggs the bartender was amazing! Will definitely be back when in St Louis!
Jessica Block
The music was amazing. Unfortunately, food was done at 10 so we cannot comment on that. The people, servers and musicians were the best. Felt at home even though we had never been before!
RNN
Always a great time. Food, beverage, people, music... definitely recommend.
The fact that the management answered a positive review speaks volumes.
Congrats for being a quality establishment-
Too bad I updated and it deleted the management response :-/
Rhonda Garbett
We had a group of 4 tonight 😀As always, food and drinks were amazing! Thank you
Krys Wozniak
First time there and from sit down to walk out the staff and food was amazing. I recommend stopping by for a nice relaxing lunch
Chris Lowman
There is love in their roux. Gumbo, is the best I've had. Crawfish ettouffee is excellent. Service was good, and food brought out by the cook (nice touch). Fun art and atmosphere. If your in St Louis and like good cajun...just Go!
Tyler Johnson
Great place. Friendly staff, and delicious food paired with interesting decor and fair prices. A must see if you ever are in St. Louis.
tiffany townsend
OMG! Delicious food, great atmosphere, and prices were more than fair. I had the sampler which included red beans and rice, etouffee, gumbo and jambalaya which was plenty of food for $18.
Emily Paul
Broadway Oyster Bar is a go to place for me and my friends! We've celebrated birthdays here, danced to some awesome live music, and enjoyed the delicious food and drinks! Everyone working is always helpful and smiling. It's a welcoming place with a superb outdoor area, the atmosphere is unlike anywhere else. Check out the small but decked out bathrooms inside! Great spot for a bathroom selfie. I recommend Broadway Oyster Bar for a fun night out with friends!
Savannah Northcraft
Great food, bad experience with service. Our server was super busy bartending which meant long waits for service — annoying but certainly understandable. However, after a long wait to have our order taken, she walked away from the table mid-order to say goodbye to someone. Not a huge deal, but after a long wait to get her attention it would have been nice for it to be undivided. We ordered an app right away because we were super hungry. Unfortunately she forgot to put the order in and we didn’t receive it until after we’d finished our mains. When the BBQ shrimp appetizer finally arrived it was very bland. That’s not typical of the dish which made me wonder if the kitchen had rushed through making it. I think this place is typically much better than what we experienced, but a bland dish + bad service = a very disappointing meal.
M Guyer
Eclectic decor, super friendly staff, & AMAZING food!! Some crawfish, Shrimp & Grits & a side of Garlic Parmesan fries. Mmmm hmmmm!
F J
Always a good time! The appetizers (blue crab cakes over fried green tomatoes, chargrilled oysters, fried oysters , oyster shooters) and homemade bread pudding desert are my faves. Great, affordable drinks too. I'm partial to lemon drops. Also, amazing, friendly staff and bless the chef and cooks!
Ryan Zeliff
Are you in downtown St. louis and hungry? Go to the Broadway Oyster bar. Just do it. You will love it. Also, sit outside they have a great outside bar and seating.
Jacob Oser
Good food with a talented band. Service was unusual; Hostess requested a bribe to seat us (told us there were no open tables but she could find is one for a price or we wouldn't get a table), this was in addition to the $10 cover charge, and the server quit serving when the kitchen closed.
Brandyne Jones
Love this place. The female servers/bartenders are a little aggressive. Besides that great place. Love B.O B. And Grafton oyster bar as well. I eat here at least once a week. Prost
Eddie Coley
They have some great pasta and some great alligator tacos go and check them out
Josh Mandelberger
Good food, good beer, good oysters. Has been a fixture downtown for years for good reason. I'll definitely be back. Enjoyed everything we had.
R B
Great atmosphere with friendly live music and lots of Cardinals fans, helpful and friendly staff and tasty food, highly recommended!
Joe W
I try to stop here anytime I'm in town. I get the oysters and try a new dish each time, I haven't been disappointed yet!
Karen Brueggemann
Oysters were fantastic! Great service despite the crowd there before the Cards game, fun atmosphere, can't wait to go back!
Solomon Knight
Excellent spot! Nice getaway if you are an in-towner. Food is wonderful! Kinda pricey. Portions are filling.
Live music is a plus, especially during these times. It is not overdone, but is classy with a one man acoustic show. I am definitely going back!!
Sam Savage
Great food and great service, as usual. We eat there every time we go to St Louis for Cardinals games. Never disappointed.
Macaulay Nelson
Best food I have had in a long time!!! Will definitely be back!
Kevin Montague
One of a kind! We arrived after the kitchen closed so missed the food...however the daily specials on the wall looked amazing! The late night ambience on a warm spring evening was great. It's on the list for a revisit when back 8n St. Louis for an overnight!
Tim Virgin
We we're in town for the Blues vs. Bruins 4/19. Our hotel recommended we try here. So glad we did. Just a fantastic place, staff and food were great! Next time we're in St.Louis this will be one of our stops.
I had the Fried Grits and Shrimp.. YUMMY 😋. Jacque had the Crawfish Mac and Cheese...OH SO GOOD!,
Keith Collins
Visint from New York. This place was awesome. Great atmosphere, great drinks , and awesome food. Got the Oysters which were awesome, a PO Boy which was great, and snow crab legs. Needless to say if I lived here id go often. Live music onna Sunday night. Cant beat it!
Andy
Shrimp Po boy and etonffle are excellent. The fries are extremely subpar, taste like grocery store fries with a bit of seasoning
Tom Nelson
Fun band. Great food and atmosphere. Just passing through town and we're glad we stopped in.
Terry Hoppmann
A must visit! My wife made me go back the next night. And original, fun tasty hole in the wall
BLOWING SMOKE TAYLOR (GASBLUNT)
We have been here 3 different times it’s one of my wife flavors places to go out to eat at good food friendly service live band good food and drinks 🍹check it out.
D Temp
Server was nice. Quite small and jambalaya was bland. The alligator bites were by far the star of the night. The drinks were good as well.
Randy Stewart
The food and service was so good the first night we decided to come back a second time. On our second trip the service and food was absolutely five star. Stephan runs a tight ship, thumbs up to this gentleman. Any and every time we pass through STL we will make this a part of our stop. A+++++++
Carla Brown
Voodoo shrimp tacos are fire!! Great service!! Great atmosphere!!
Alix Allen
Great music great food and the wait was bearable about 30 min right after a cards game let out
Susan Loos
We’ve been going to BOB for over 10 years and never been disappointed! The food is delicious, the service is great and the atmosphere is unbeatable. If you’re in downtown STL, this place shouldn’t be missed. Its a unique experience😋 …
Aviral Asthana
I definitely think Broadway Oyster Bar has great ambience along with great food. We ordered the savory alligator cheesecake, jambalaya, and the grinder (a 1/2 french baguette that is hollowed out and has a meat stuffing inside). All three of these dishes were decent and provided good flavor - I especially enjoyed the savory cheesecake served with pita slices and definitely recommend it if you are looking for an appetizer. I also have to say that this place does have a fair amount of non seafood options as well which is good because it appears to be a popular meeting spot for people in the city and you won’t be out of luck if you don’t eat seafood. Overall, service was great and I had an enjoyable experience!
Mary Fox
Jordan our server was amazing and her suggestions were spot on! I can't wait to go back!
Nick Wideman
Absolutely loved the food. Every single thing was delicious. They do a very great job of bringing some of NOLA to you!
Shelby Graham
I was VERY comfortable with the above and beyond Customer Service!!!!! It doesn't matter if the person is not your server they all will come around and ask if you are still enjoying your meal. Literally was asked like 5 times in less than 10 minutes.
Janay D
Great environment! Try the sausage/alligator cheesecake (I can't remember the actual name). But it was amazing!
I also ordered the crawfish enchiladas.... amazing but the jambalaya is VERY spicy. If you like spicy, then you'll love it.
April Gray
It was ok, I've had better. We enjoyed the cheese cake appetizer. I had the shrimp and grits which was different because the grits were fried. Dint do both. Waiter was very nice.
Leandre Scott
Nice place great people but it was my first time eating oysters and my last 🤮 …
Antony Young
Very delicious! Great atmosphere!
Arjun Dharna
Incredible food, can't wait to try more of the menu
Alexandria Patrick
I did not know there was a crawfish broil today but I am happy I caught it. Each month there is a special for two days. If you follow them on Facebook you will be notified. The food was beyond delicious and the bar service was spectacular. This was my second time here and I will definitely be returning for more. This is a must stop shop in downtown st Louis. There is also a live band.
Jessica Weber
Gator shrimp cheesecake and voodoo shrimp tacos were fire!
Melissa Herndon
The oyster bar is my absolute favorite. They have the best Cajun chicken strips they are so delicious. The staff is sweet and they are quick to get your food out to you. Love love love this place
patrick coyne
Good times! Oysters on the half shell were good but definitely try the baked oyster medley if you like oysters Rockefeller!
Mathew
Had the gulf oysters and they were amazing. Always great to visit after a day of tailgating with family and friends for Cardinals opening day.
Elly Stout
We come here as often as we can! The food and atmosphere are exactly like New Orleans, meaning awesome! Everything is always great, including the staff. Even when it is super busy they never make you feel rushed.
Steve Freeman
In St. Louis for a weekend conference and the reviews looked great for this restaurant. It was very busy on a Friday night but the food and service was outstanding! Very difficult to decide what to order, it all looked good. Definitely will be back.
Franklin Williams
Best Seafood in the city. Plus they have live Bands performing 🎭 all the time.
Jennifer Kotula
Wow! Home in the wall. GREAT FOOD!
wait was roughly 30 minutes after the cardinals ball game. Packed. The atmosphere was open, upbeat and exciting. Its a bar restaurant combo. Yes kids were at many of the tables. We arrived at about 5:30. There is inside and outside seating. We ordered shrimp mushroom pasta( ate it all) crab cakes, oysters, crawfish tacos and crawfish enchiladas. Amazing! The mixed drinks were top shelf and proved to be. Beer was iceeeeecolddddd. Waitstaff was on it. Not obnoxious just checking regular style. Bill was cheap for the group! Will definitely go again. There was an outside bar and a band. Lots of cardinal fans!
Aur Beck
Got the sampler of gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, as well as crawfish etouffee after an alligator sausage abd shrimp cheesecake (which is like a very tasty quiche with tons of cheese)
Taminara Marjadi
My first time eating real good oysters and they don't disappoint! The alligator cheese cake also AWESOME!
CarlyBC
I’ve been going to this place for years now and I’m never disappointed. No matter what I try on the menu, I leave full and satisfied! The oysters are a MUST TRY, especially the Rockerfellas! I’d like to add, of all the times I’ve been, the service has consistently been great!
Cassandra
Love the food, live music.. it was awesome all the way around.
Joseph Lee
We got the crawfish etoufee and jambalaya. Both were fine, good but not amazing.
VENUGOPAL PARAMESWARA
We tried the fried oyster, Calamari and giant prowns. Excellent food and very good ambience
Edward Bunker
Well coming from Seattle and spending 30 plus years in the food industry this is a serious review. Let's just say from the awesome receptionist who seated me to the awesome server Ashley this place is on point. I came here for oysters from Seattle ant they did not disappoint! My only issues where the sampler that was drowning in cheese and oil, Yuck! Service was on point and it is very busy. I never saw the manager who should have been refilling the paper towels in the bathroom. Also nobody asked how was everything? Oysters were never separated from shell and the combination sucked. For this part of the country I gutless it is normal.
Funky Knuckles
The joy of delicious flavor taste in your mouth combined with the haunting melody of cave dwelling mustard farmers make this oyster bar the ultimate place to face your deepest fears on a month long ayahuasca vision quest. Despite accidentally swallowing my toothbrush and being injected with horse tranquilizers I was able to rage all night and ingest 739 oysters.
Randy “Hanny Hooner” Hampton Jr
Been in St Louis my whole life, first time visiting this place. Wish I had done it a long time ago. Had to fish tacos with some red beans and rice and a cold Bud Light. I will be back!
Julie F
Always good. Every time I go here I am reminded about how much I love it. The bbq shrimp app is plenty for a whole meal and one of my favorite things on the menu. The cocktails are great. It is a fun atmosphere and we've never had a bad server.
