Reviews of Brasserie by Niche

Fantastic brunch spot. I’m probably a victim of great weather, but it was a sunny, brisk day and getting inside to warm up was the best feeling. The decorations are definitely unique but they fit the space well.
The dishes were petite, but definitely filling. They came out hot, almost too hot where some of my friends burnt their tongues. Everyone at the table was very pleased with their meals. I think the star of the show was the quiche, but honestly, it was all great.
Definitely coming back for dinner.

Beautiful choice for dinner. Wonderful atmosphere and great attention to service. We were 45 minutes early for our reservation and they were very accommodating. Our drinks were fabulous. We started with chips and house made dip. Although it was tasty you can definitely skip this menu item. We had maybe 4 full chips on our plate and the rest were crumbs from the bottom of the bag. Super hard to dip those. Lol! I ordered the mussels. They were perfection! And portion was very generous. Husband ordered the duck with risotto. He said it was one of the best meals he has ever had. If you have the opportunity to go here, do nit pass it up!

My wife and I planned a date night out here. Steak tartar was great and so was the cherry drink. The burger was too salty for my wife but my bistro steak was good just came out a bit colder than I would have liked. Mac and cheese was average. The profiteroles for dessert we're just ok.....

Brasserie is one of the many amazing restaurants that is part of the Niche food group. The atmosphere is nice, but not too fancy. The staff are great, just the right amount of attentiveness. But of course, the food is why we all go…omg yum. The mussels are my favorite, and I love the cocktails too. This is one of those places I bring groups of friends to, but it would also be nice for a date night.

Loved the place! It was packed, so book a table ahead of time! We had the burger, the chicken pate and the trouts… all three were delicious! The bread and butter the brought was algo good! Service was excellent! It is pricey

Superb food & drinks and amazing customer service! We had our wedding dinner here with our family last April. The restaurant went above and beyond to make us feel really special. We didn't get to take photos of the food but I 💯 can say it was delicious. The ambience and candlelight set up was perfect for our wedding dinner. Thank you so much team. You made my day extra special. We're definitely coming back 🙂

This place was AMAZING! Our waitress was fantastic. It was a great place to celebrate my college graduation day. The food was beyond amazing and wonderful. Everything was so good. Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, and excellent service. Cannot wait until my next visit.

Celebrating another semester in the books with a Sunday evening out. It started with a beautiful & delicious cheese board accompanied by a sparkling rosé, and a couple amazing cocktails. Those were just the begging of a wonderful evening. Alyssa brought so much warmth, knowledge, and excellence to our table it made it truly memorable Thanks to the chef and to Alyssa we were truly blown away.

This is a wonderful restaurant. We came for brunch on New Years day, right as they opened, so avoided a bit of the crowd that sometimes gathers here. They have the service down, though. We got our food and drinks in record time. The food, a quiche and eggs Benedict, was great. My 3B Mary (bloody Mary with Yellowstone bourbon) was nice, as was our Floating Island dessert. Highly recommend this restaurant.

First time coming here, heard it gets busy so I made a reservation online.
Appetizer - goat cheese tart. The flavor in the dish all work super great! It’s tangy, sweet, and hearty /umami.
Main
Braised beef - so tender. And it taste like what you would expect from braised beef. It reminds me of like a beef stew, but the flavor and the tender beef makes it to a different level than home cooking.
Steak with fries (forgot the name) - steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Realllly nice fries. Comes with ketchup and garlic aioli.
Would come again to try- for fancy occasions

First time and a nice experience, pleasant attentive staff, relaxed atmosphere. Excellent burger and some of best string fries, crisp and tasty. Roasted Chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly...two large breasts and many mushrooms made a generous serving. A bit pricey but worth every cent!

I was trying to have a great dinner w/ my boy friend and the sunny table was indeed in a good atmosphere, but the some of the dishes were not as good as I expected, also the tablewares were not clean, especially my spoon. The onion soup is absolutely great with the cheese. However the chicken liver… I don’t know how to describe the feeling. It tastes like completely raw and bloody or extremely undercooked. I told the waiter it tastes bloody, he said nothing to it but continued with serving…
Maybe he thinks it’s just a issue with our taste? But I won’t be back again.
The braised beef and chocolate mousse after that were great but I’m no longer passionate to take photos.

I've wanted to go here for many years and just never made it. That changed on my pup's 1st birthday after a playdate at Bar K. The wait was worth it, but kinda frustrating too for not going sooner!
They accommodated us on the patio with our dog, brought water for her, and even made a special bacon-cake for the birthday girl. This speaks volumes in St. Louis. Every patio establishment could take notes from Brasserie!
The team - and I mean every single member we met - was enthusiastic and appreciative of our visit. The food was timely and coursed to perfection.
The onion soup is of the pureed variety and delicious. The glazed carrots did not last long. I asked for a side of mornay in addition to the garlic aioli served with fries, and it was the best mornay I've ever had! And I cannot forget the profiteroles... small but mighty. Fresh fresh fresh!!
Thanks for making our impromptu visit comfortable and memorable.

There is no better way to start a Sunday, especially a Sunday Funday, than brunch at Brasserie, bar none. Take it from me—I’m there 3 Sundays a month! The food is consistently delicious and the attention to detail and service are always on point. The best service team, by far. I suggest starting with the sweet beignets, a cup of vanilla latte with oat milk and a bottle or two of St. Hilaire. The best entrees, I believe, are the eggs en cocotte, egg plat with a side of potatoes (add caramelized onions), eggs benedict and the brasserie burger, add lettuce. The fries are among the best I’ve had! A side of French onion soup is always good in the cooler weather—they will even split a bowl for two! If you have room for dessert, the floating island is so worth it but I more often, than not, go for the corpse reviver and the marteau. They each are great cocktails worth having before moving into the rest of your Sunday!

I was in town for work, looked up “best restaurants in st louis” and ended up here. I was not disappointed! Easy parking at the parking garage a few steps away. Cute little place, great ambiance, very friendly service, awesome food. Limited menu (which is always a good sign to start with) of French specialties. I ended up with the braised beef and mashed potatoes, and a glass of the suggested red, great choice. Dessert was espresso and chocolate mousse. Definitely come here again when I’m back in town.

We really enjoyed our dinner. The food was excellent, the staff was wonderful and the atmosphere was cozy. We felt like we were in France having dinner!

It was our first time dining at Brasserie by Niche and it certainly won't be our last! We had read good things about it online, and then, we ran into a couple at the airport who said it was their favorite restaurant. The food, cocktails, atmosphere and service were outstanding! Bon Appétit!
Christine Appel-Hinderliter
First time going to the Brasserie by Niche, went for Sunday Brunch. I had the quiche and a Bloody Mary both delicious. I found the staff super friendly and the service was great. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed and not at all uptight.
Parking can be a bit of a challenge but didn’t take any stars away. It’s a neighborhood thing.
I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.
David
The Brasserie come very highly rated for brunch in the STL area.
I joined in on a brunch on 2-13-22 and I would say it was fair.
We orders the beignets which were a smash hit! Phenomenal!
We ordered mimosas which were more on the dryer side than I typically like.
My friend ordered the French breakfast which was more petite than he thought.
I ordered the Croque madame which was Luke warm at best and left a little to be desired, however the fries that it came with were straight fire, probably the best fires I’ve had.
So mixed reviews here, worth a second visit to solidify.

Convenient valet parking. Great service from Olivia. Interesting menu. We enjoyed chicken liver mousse with thin crunchy toasted bread. I had duck with confit. The skin was crispy and the meat was tender and delicious. The charred cabbage and whipped potatoes paired beautifully with the duck. She had pan fried trout with cauliflower which was equally tasty. For dessert, I had the very rich café creme broulet which was outstanding.
Rebecca McMahon
Fabulous meal! I had the French onion soup and the bistro steak. The steak was cooked exactly as ordered. The staff was knowledgeable and kind.
Ryan Blodgett
Top notch service and atmosphere... enjoyed a wonderful cassoulet and the fresh bread is great. The wine menu does a great job of hitting all price points, with all styles by the glass (red, white, rose, sparkling) and plenty of bottles to choose from. Would love to visit again next time I visit.
Deep Chatterjee
Really enjoyed the food and drinks. Will recommend the duck leg. Also, the cured olives are great appetizers. Finally, the floating island is the perfect dessert. I'll recommend reserving a table ahead of time. People kept coming in even after 9PM on a weekday.
Dave Cameron
Fancy food for "not" fancy prices. We went for our wedding anniversary. The place was full and noisy; so not "romantic ambiance" - yet the food was excellent, French style. The French Onion Soup was fantastic. Selection of about a dozen dishes all with some sort of protein, vegetables, and a french sauce. Interesting appetizers such as goat cheese tart, escargot, and steak tartare. Tough to find parking; we used the valet.
Camila Biaggi
Wish I would have taken a picture of the food, but was enjoying brunch with the family!
I started out my meal with a honey lavender latte with oatmilk (pictured). For the table, we shared some beignets, that were airy and Fluffy. I got the eggs benedict, which were prepared on top of a delicious piece of Brioche toast and accompanied by these perfectly paired, crunchy twice cooked potatoes. For the table, we ended our meal with delicious French toast. Once again, they used the perfectly baked Brioche bread, then prepared delicious French toasts topped with a lemon curd. Highly recommend this place! Everything sounded delicious from the menu and the staff was very friendly. I'll for sure have to come back!
Christian Hoogheem
Food was phenomenal. Cocktails were delicious and creative. Staff was attentive and very responsive. While more expensive than some restaurants, it is absolutely worth it.

Ordered the chicken liver mousse; duck confit and yuzu pot de creme. Other than fantastic there is really no other word to describe it. I thought the portions were good for the price; considering quality of ingredients and environment. Mousse was an awesome texture; especially with the onions. Duck confit was decadent. Yuzu pot de creme was the absolute best way to finish a meal; refreshing and light but also flavorful and mixed perfectly.
The staff was great; friendly; alert and wanting to make your experience the best it can be. Street parking is pretty easy; valet also available.
5/5.

This place serves authentic French food. We had the French onion soup, burger, and the roast chicken plate. Everything was excellent. I highly recommend calling several days in advance to reserve your table, as the place fills up. They can accommodate parties of 8+, but call ahead to make sure. We will definitely be coming here again.
Lady Bourdain
The escargot and beef tartare were absolutely delicious and wonderfully executed as our appetizing dishes. Perfectly paired with an amazing bottle of Sauvignon Blanc on a hot summer day. If you ever need an escargot fix, this is the place! 👌
The cellist also made the ambiance of the patio very pleasant and memorable.

Not impressed with this place; AT ALL
Food was either too salty or not salty enough and bland, nothing in the meal was the slightest bit exciting for my pallet for the price point and quality. The starter salad was my highlight - mind you I'm not vegetarian.
The service was howver, TOP NOTCH and commend how involved they were with our table and guests.

The food was very good. The French onion soup was one of the best I’ve had! The atmosphere was a bit loud. But I would definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try!

Wow. This charming Brasserie made our hearts sing tonight! It brought back fond memories of our many visits to France 🇫🇷. Kelly (hostess with the mostess) was able to book us a table as 2 people cancelled. We called from Florida and left a message. She returned the call immediately. Jennifer, our outstanding server, was cheerful and experienced. We thought the Chef surely was French or trained in France but not so. Evy/Evee you rock and so do all your sous-chefs etc. The salad Frisee and Bisto Steak (steack frites) were both amazing. Our "a point" steaks cut like butter. Jenn and Cat, the friendliest managers, told us about their 2 other sister restaurants. Planning on breakfast 2-morrow at Brasserie by Niche or Bowood for breakfast! Next time perhaps we will try "Pastaria." Thanks also to Jessica an amazing grad school food runner and Kyle a cheerful host. You will see us again Brasserie by Nicole on our future visits to St. Louis. BTW even the canned 1664 was refreshing. Thanks oodles. Nora Jean and Mark

I found this restaurant thanks to an Eater list. The patio ambiance was exceptional, as we had fantastic live music being played by 2 musicians across the street. I came for the tartare, but if I come back it will be for the olives, bread and butter, the steak and fries, and the ambiance.
Carole Kaufman
A great neighborhood restaurant, and so glad we went. So why 4 not 5 stars? I hate water glasses that drip on me. No table cloth, no coasters, chilled water, concensation...drips! Now that we have that irritant out of the way, service was welcoming, timely, kind. Jesse (awesome!) gave us recommendations, allowed us to pace the meal with with ordering over time. House wine a deal and delicious. French onion soup the definition of cheesey goodness with the cheese not only being gooey, but also browned to crispy yum. The braised beef good, the bacon with it amazing, but as a whole it left me wanting a few more vegatables. Too full for dessert, but we have to go back to try the floating island....we will be back!
Vivien
We enjoyed every dishes we ordered.
( salad is the one not so fantastic)
Every dish was flavorful and beautiful, definitely cook by a team of chefs with skills.
It was nice that restaurant didn’t change its quality because of pandemic.
It’s one of the good restaurants in St. Louis.
Service was great too!
Gabriela Urrutia
Great ambiance, perfect location, friendly staff. We went for a walk from our hotel a few stows away and stumbled in front ofbthier patio, very inviting, food delight and tasty of course, our waiter was not only friendly but helpful with menu suggestions . Very Romantic settings by the way.
Courtney Florek
Ordered an app, "chips with cheese and herb dip" $8 and some change. The plate came out with Ruffle chips from the store. The food was good but I felt like it was a little overpriced. So much competition in Central West End, would probably pick another place next time.
Valerie
We had a lovely table outside on a perfect summer night. The atmosphere, service, and food were all great. We ordered a couple cocktails that were good and split a goat cheese tart which was like a heavenly savory cheesecake. We also ordered the burger which was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The steak was okay a little cold and smaller than expected, but the sauce on top tasted amazing.
Ken Koonce
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service. But please spare me the political banners at the entry. I came for a good meal and good food, not to be lectured about race, gender, or reproductive issues. Do you think all of your customers share the same political opinions? Please show respect for those who have different views and just want a nice dinner. Or my guests and I can dine somewhere else that does. Respect diversity of opinion.
Fahad Hussain
The food was quite good! Excellent service, cute place. Went in winter, I'm told in summer and spring they have sidewalk patio seating and there's often. Local musician who plays. Apparently a lovely little French spot. Highly recommend the onion soup!
Margaret McLean
Some of the best food I’ve ever had! The duck and profiteroles were amazing
Todd A Reed
Quite simply, my favorite restaurant in STL! I was hosted for a dinner and it was amazing. From beginning to end.
I had the lemon chicken and it was zesty and fresh.
The desert: chocolate sorbet! I didn’t even know it existed. Incredible.
Next time I’m there I will take pics.
E Liu (Eliu501)
Heard so many great things about this place. Special occasion for my daughter and I. Best part of dinner was the Pino. Service was decent. Food is mediocre. Skip cheese puffs, skip salads, we both had bistro steak and they came out with cold fries and barely warm steak, over done. I didn’t send it back per my own personal policy. I just won’t be back. Definitely not worth what we paid. It was a disappointment. I gave 3 stars for the service food really gets 2.
Jesse AuBuchon
The food was alright but just felt a little lacking. Especially with all the hype around it. I felt like for the price I was just expecting more. Wasn’t bad by any means we enjoyed our meal, but I wouldn’t really make a point of coming back either. Service was amazing though, and we enjoyed the busy warm vibe there.
Kristin N.
I wish I could give this place 10 stars! My husband and I have been going here for years- truly one of the absolute BEST restaurants in STL. The food is absolutely incredible- we love the dinner and brunch best. We had reservations for my birthday that I was unable to go to after a bad day. They allowed us to do a to go order, and also gave us champagne, a birthday dessert, and a card. Their kindness and thoughtfulness meant the world to me- thank you Brasserie! Amazing food and amazing people- can’t wait to come back.
K. R.
This place is amazing. Each dinner is prepared with care, the flavors are so unique and savory, and the staff is so kind! Olivia was awesome. The chicken, oh and the cheese puffs—-to live for!!!! ❤️🥳the Parisian setting, so romantic! You have to try this place!
Ummi Habiba
Awesome service - not only was our server knowledgeable about the menu and prompt with just the right amount of checking in, but she paced our meal perfectly! Each course came out without long delays or before the previous course was finished. Amazing food! We can personally vouch for the gougeres (cheese puffs), mixed lettuce salad (goat cheese! hazelnuts!), braised beef (with glazed carrots & potato purée), mussels (white wine, garlic, etc), chocolate mousse, & floating island. Paired with an excellent white (for her) & red (for him) as well as espresso with dessert.
Jack Payne
The restaurant definitely has a French Bistro ambiance. Diners should feel comfortable in dressy-casual or dressy attire here. There is a lovely sidewalk patio for outdoor dining, which we didn't take advantage of (too cool) with heaters and even lap blankets! Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, but not intrusive. She recommended an excellent Sauvignon Blanc. The escargot and onion soup were awesome and good-sized portions for sharing. The trout was delicious, as well. Will definitely return next time we're in St. Louis.
Ashley
Our waiter was fantastic and very considerate with our dietary restrictions. The lardons on my beef were dried out and hard to chew. Our appetizer came out after our main entree, and my entree was warm, not hot. Flavors were all good. Political fare in the windows is tacky and the primary reason we won't be returning.
Stanley McCaslin
French inspired menu. Nice sidewalk dining area, in addition to inside. Some unique cocktails.
Caleb
I have had dinner here at least 5 times and Brunch 3 or 4. This is, by far, the best restaurant in the St. Louis area. Pastaria comes close, but this place is just perfect. The atmosphere is great. A nice, quaint little dining room. Come fancy if you want, dress to the max, or come with jeans and a clean shirt. It really is just comfortable. The drinks are always amazing if you like cocktails (dinner and brunch), and the wine recommendations have never been disappointing. They actually have an amazingly creative non-alcoholic cocktail menu so even your kids can feel fancy. The salads and starting courses are all fabulous but the entrees are always just slap your mama good.
Do not be a fool, if it's your first time in someone at your table needs to order the roasted chicken. I know you're thinking, "I'm not coming to a fancy restaurant and ordering the chicken." I was right there with you my first time, but my wife ordered it and my eyes were opened. The roasted chicken is in the top three dishes I have ever eaten at a restaurant. It is criminally delicious. Save room for dessert because it is good too.
The place is definitely pricey. If you want to go on a date and eat well and have a nice long, fun time, you could be looking at $200-300 for two people. If you go wild you could easily get close to $500 here. I'd say at minimum be prepared to spend $75 per person. But don't get me wrong.... You can come in for $100 and have a good date. And it is worth it. The brunch is more affordable and equally divine. The brunch cocktails are no joke and everything on that menu is great. The Croque Madame is surprisingly amazing. Another dish that you will be thinking that is lame and then kicking yourself when you have a bite of it from a table mate.
Definitely get a reservation here and just come enjoy a nice evening.
Kevin He
Extremely disappointed by this restaurant and how this place is so highly rated is suspect. The ambience is alright, but this place is so rowdy and designed to be cramped that I wouldn't feel comfortable having a celebratory dinner here with someone else. The food was the most disappointing. I had the steak, which came out looking very green and tasted weird - like a mixture of rosemary and confusing herbs with a sour sauce. Everything is just so sour, the burgers, french onion soup... I don't know if that's how french food usually is, or if it's a fault of brasserie but I will certainly not be returning here - especially after the hole it has burned in my wallet.
Adam Culbreath
Amazing experience! Excellent service and fantastic food. Cleaned every plate and will definitely be back.
Genevieve Ralston
From drinks to dessert- everything we tried for our anniversary date was delicious here.
Igor Henrique
We had higher expectations. The food wasnt bad, but it missed flavors and the plate presentation could also be better.
There are limited options for starters and they were not much elaborated, that was a downside as well.
We also sat in a table that got hit by a cold flow each time someone opened the doors. We had to dine inside with the jackets on, that was weird. There should be some different layout to prevent that.
Jessica Silas
Very nice spot. Food was good. Vegetarian options are always a big plus in my book.

So so so good. Great place for dates, treating visiting family to something St. Louis based that’s delicious, out of the ordinary, and won’t break the bank. (All Niche’s restaurants are reliable—and have great mixology!) The food & menu can feel fancy, but the vibe & waitstaff are relaxed & make guests feel comfortable.
Highly recommend the beignets—my *only* negative feedback is that they ran out of them last time we went for brunch. A True Tragedy…(& good excuse to revisit!)
Charles Hicks
I had dinner here with my boss almost 10 years ago. And we did take out a few years. We were back in town for the weekend with the boys. My son has an egg allergy. We notified the server and the host of it. They told us about the Appetizers having egg and assured us the hamburger bun didn't have eggs or the Mac and Cheese. Unfortunately, they confirmed again and it did. After my son had taken a few bites. He ended up being fine and we gave him some Benadryl.
Thankfully, the server, host/manager apologized profusely and paid the entire bill. I was floored. I was expecting them to comp his meal or half the bill. But they were truly sorry and wanted to make it right. I am so grateful they did. And we left the waiter a nice tip for being thoughtful of the entire situation.
My steak was great. My wife's meal was delicious and the service was great considering the allergy snafu. I highly recommend going to this restaurant. Great food, service and they make every effort to take care of their guest.
Thank you for a pleasant dinning experience. We will see you again on our next visit to St. Louis!
Jerry Powers
We found this by accident on a cross-country trip as it was close to the hotel and enjoyed it so much we routed ourselves to eat there on the next trip. It has great atmosphere, excellent and interesting food, and amazingly friendly and helpful staff. It's also very popular with locals so reserve ahead!
SR
My wife and I really enjoyed the food, the best we had in Saint Louis. Service was excellent.
The only complaint is that the place was too noisy, we were expecting a more romantic atmosphere.
Joy Taber
Was wonderful dinning experience. Had the French onion soup, steak with fries and creme Brule. All were exceptional. Service was 2nd to none. Strongly recommend and will return.
Francis Lau
Excellent place. A good French restaurant. Good food. Cozy place.
Angela Z
We came for dinner on our anniversary, and we were treated like royalty! Our waiter, Jackson, took such good care of us. Everything from the appetizers to dessert was a delicious culinary experience.
Amira Jahic
The food was delicious especially the French onion soup and the cauliflower soup. Our waitress was outstanding and their service is top notch. The atmosphere is very relaxing, casual and romantic.
Tracey O'Leary-Benack
A most delicious brunch. They make their bloody mary mix which is the bomb. They are being super safe and the food is always on point. I love this place!
Jerome Avis
Everything was perfect. Service, food, atmosphere. True it is expensive but it is worthwhile. There are also little differences between the real French dishes served in France and what it is served. But the quality of ingredients, diversity of dishes, perfectly cooked food and well balanced flavours make this restaurant what it stands for: The french restaurant of St Louis. Merci for the whole experience. You are a real ambassador of my dear country food heritage. One thing though for the digestifs: could you please have the real French quality stuff like Chartreuse verte or jaune (or both), calvados, armagnac, génépi and absinthe. That would be an essential touch as it is so dear to French people.
Suprabha SK
It was a great place, had a rustic charm. Quite a busy place, should prepare to spend at least 2hrs. The staff was very friendly and they know their food. I got the Beignets Which comes with dried plums and lemon curd. For the sides I got frites which comes with the garlic aioli. Beignets were really good, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Frites were very crispy and I love the garlic aioli. The Beignets size could be smaller it's a lot for 1 person to eat. Overall everything was really good.
Marit Ivory
Incredibly friendly staff. Three nonalcoholic cocktails to choose from. Escargot was plain. Steak with béarnaise and fries. Fries were AMAZING. Cannot recommend them enough. Trout was solid. Banana bread creme brûlée was good. Essentially creme brûlée with banana bread on top. Chocolate mousse was heavenly. The bread to start had soft butter. We will definitely return.
Crissy Leen
I adore here. I normally don’t eat meat but all their options are incredibly flavorful. Their team is friendly and make sure we are well attended. Is cozy and has that sophisticated French flare. Their menu is not huge but for me every time I went was amazing. I ordered the rosbife sandwich. Their fries are addictive. The bread is cute and the chocolate mousse is a splurge.
Christina Hrubey
Great French bistro. Extremely romantic but a bit loud. Cocktails were lovely. Wine selection is succinct but excellent. We loved everything but the steak in our steak frites- too tough, oversalted, and overcooked. The cream of garlic soup was amazing, as were the gougeres, salad, and desserts. Our waitress was very knowledgeable, kind, and warm. I would 100% go back!
Austin Taylor
The service was charming, the atmosphere was calming and the food was DELICIOUS. The Brassiere Burger had great flavor and the Cassoulet was a symphony of textures and tastes. Would definitely dine again!
Izzy Litwack
Really enjoyed our dinner here! The French onion soup definitely lives up to the hype. Loved the braised beef entree, and our drinks!
Barb Berglund
Really excellent food and exceptional service. Solid wine selection, full bar, nice scotch and whisky/whiskey selection.
Started with chicken liver mousse, very smooth and delicate with just the right depth. Salad was nice, and the trout with cauliflower was elegant and perfectly cooked.
A nice selection of desserts, with an off-menu Paris Brest which intentionally provides proceeds for Ukraine.
Recommend!

After three visits to the Brasserie for dinner, I am convinced that it has become one of my favorite restaurants in the Saint Louis area. The food was excellent; it was prepared and presented in a most appetizing manner. Each time I’ve gone I’ve taken 2 to 7 other guests with me; this enabled me to sample most of the entrees by tasting each of my guests plates. Everything was delicious! The servers were quite courteous and attentive. I look forward to going back again and again. The Assistant General Manager, Gina, made us feel like we were the only guests there. For an exciting dinner experience, I highly recommend the Brasserie by Niche!
Malik Lendell
I enjoyed the Brasserie Burger and sweet beignets very much. The service was great as well!
Hunter
Very nice food and great wait staff. I had a very nice time chatting with my waiter, and his recommendations were spot on. I had the hamburger. It is delicious, but not for someone looking for a low fat, lots of veggie toppings, small burger. This guys very delicious though and I would recommend getting it. The fries were also excellent. Crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside and just the right amount of salt. Ask for the garlic aioli to go with it.
J. Leo
The food here is great and the service is always solid. The fresh bread and butter is a nice touch.
I typically get the mussels (which comes with delicious garlic bread) and start with either the cheese board or the French Onion Soup; the prices are fair (with the exception of the dessert, which I think is priced unusually high!).
Subhayu Chakravorty
Nice decor, good food, expensive, well maintained, courteous.
Even though quality of food was good, I wouldn't say it the best that I have tasted for the money I paid. I felt it missed some extra zip / awesomeness.
G MDNC
Brunch was good and the beignets were delicately fried. The waitstaff was very nice, and the location was nice as well. The menu could be expanded somewhat for brunch, but overall it was a good experience.
Gabrielle Harris
We ate here three times during our four day stay. Chris is the best server ever. I will be back every time I visit St. Louis.

Had a great time our first time eating here. Fun environment, great food, and awesome staff.
Samantha Wiggins
not worth the hassle of trying to find parking. They dont have any shade avalible outside, they also dont have any handicap parking. Not really sure how I went in with a reservation and still got seated outside, in 90 degree weather, upon arriving i was told there was a 20 minute wait for indoor seating. They were able to move us inside eventually however we did have to explain that we had 2 in our party that were sensitive to heat hence why we had made a reservation for inside. The food once we got it was good but im also not a fan of places that make you order all these sides to get a full meal.
Lewis Chase
Gougeres were ok but not delicious and overpriced. Muscles were small and tasty but not exceptional for a price almost double that from other high end restaurants. Fries were soggy and again vastly overpriced. Overall, a restaurant with average food at outrageous prices. It doesn't deserve its rating.
Dan Burke
I wanted to like this restaurant more. The food was fine but an appetizer and a $35 entree should satisfy one's hunger. Given the size of the entrees, we both left unsatisfied.
CWU Management
Exceptional customer service by the entire service staff, especially Matthew (Server). Personable and knowledgeable of the menu options based on the customer’s desired taste.
Order: Olives, Cheese Puffs, and Trout. Flavorful all around and the ambiance is relaxing.
Riarianyc LAU
The food and service was good. The waiter was very nice. I am not used to the classic French onion soup. And he provided a better service to make up the imperfection. We enjoyed the dinner. :)
Matt Grochocinski
What an incredible restaurant! All of the food was amazing and the service was even better. I'll be back here the next time I'm in town.
Phil Eckelkamp
I wanted to love this place but my confit duck was dry and chewy and my drinks were weak. I will recommend the goat cheese tart, which was a unique and welcome surprise.
Becca Francis
Such a good brunch. They were able to do the eggs Benedict with spinach and it was awesome! And some of the best potatoes I've ever had.
Patricia Umdenstock
Very crowded, loud, and tables too close together. Food is good but over priced. Servers were very good and prompt.
Donna Cole
delicious food, great service, m
we chose duck leg and braised beef. both were excellent
Joseph Szymczak
I came to St Louis for a small weekend vacation to fight cabin fever. Seen Brassiere by Niche on the "Best eats in St Louis" and it was a true review. The atmosphere is very New York small clique in the best way. The food was amazing! The braised beef was melt in your mouth tender. Service is four star. A four star restaurant without a four star price. The desert was art. So if you're in downtown St Louis and looking for meal to impress, come to Brasserie.
Lauren Lassen
Such a beautiful restaurant with a great ambiance! We were seated in a cozy little nook by an old fireplace with lots of candles... So lovely and charming! All of the food was delicious! We loved their mocktail list and the desserts we're amazing. The goat cheese tart was so good. Definitely would recommend.
Jessica Marquardt
Great food. Great service. Really enjoyed the experience. Also, very clever cocktails.
Josh Mandelberger
Went for my birthday. Great food, good cocktails and wine, service was good despite a packed house. All of our orders came out accurately and at the same time, a great experience overall!
Lucia Anderson
Had a great experience at Brasserie celebrating my partner’s birthday! The staff were so attentive and friendly and went above and beyond for celebrating. We ordered the escargot which was delicious, as well as the goat cheese tart and the steak and frites. The even split the steak and frites onto two plates without us even asking! Also what a cozy and lively atmosphere. We will be back next time we’re in St. Louis.
Katherine Markham
Had a great experience with server Alex- he was friendly, attentive, and took extra care with allergy concerns. The atmosphere at Brasserie is very welcoming and cozy, it's the perfect spot in the fall and winter. French onion soup is the best in STL! Both the gnocchi and trout were also fantastic. 4/5 star rating because we got the cookie plate for dessert and neither of us, or my husband when we got home thought any of the cookies were any good. They weren't bad enough to not eat but I would not recommend ordering them- you'd get more satisfaction from packaged, off brand, grocery store cookies.
Thomas Grisham
Great dinner. Exceptional service from Chris O and the rest of the staff. Plenty of service staff to get the job done. I had the duck which was perfection. Savory and the polenta was the perfect compliment. She had the mussels which she loved. Highly recommended.
Melissa Froidl
My daughter and I chose Brasserie by Niche for Mother's day brunch. Dining outside on the lovely spring day, I enjoying brioche french toast with a side of frites and she eggs en cocette brought us back to Paris and memories of a resent trip. Food was delicious, price was just right, staff was friendly and efficient. We will definitely return!!
Peter Maliha
Great cocktails, food, and service.
Alex Williams
Everyone at the table really enjoyed their meals. Three different individuals ordered steak with a white sauce and loved it. Appetizers were pretty limited and the service was extremely slow but I also understand the ambiance is part of the experience. French cuisine isn't my cup of tea in general but a solid restaurant nonetheless.
Ted McCain
First thing, get the goat cheese tart appetizer! You'll thank me later, I guarantee it. My wife had the braised beef, which she described as a very savory, very GOOD, pot roast. I had the duck confit with polenta and charred cabbage. Her braised beef was good, but the duck confit was next-level. Just delicious! We ordered the chocolate mousse and the floating meringue (yes...both) for dessert. We each had our favorite, and both were ridiculously good. 10/10 will be back next time we're in St. Louis. Bonus note: my wife was here a few months ago and had Sunday brunch at Brasserie and states that their brunch is excellent as well. I'll have to find out for myself, it seems!
Ellorion
Exemplary. Simply excellent. The best French onion soup and escargots I've ever had. The roasted maitake is amazing, and the chocolate mousse was perfect.
Alma Bander
This place is great! I love their cappuccino and everything else from brunch (waffles) to dinner as well as staff 😉!😍❤ …
Joy Nelson
A bit overpriced, but they gave us free champagne because we had to wait for a table even though we had a reservation. The roast chicken and French onion soup were delicious!
Danielle C.
Fantastic service, delicious food, delicious wine. Great experience. Ill definitely be back.
Pablo
The menu selection was very limited specially if you don't eat red meat. The food was tasty a little too salty for me but my companion didn't agree. Staff was very nice. Unless I'm with someone who really wants to go here I doubt I'd go again
Ericka Story
Staff, food, service, drinks.... EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!!!!
Ricky D
Great cocktails and good food. The French onion soup is very good.
Kyle Brueggeman
Fantastic food and wine. They greeted us with two glasses of champagne for our wedding anniversary. Nice evening with the French doors opened to the patio.
Shin Allison
Both the bistro steak and roasted chicken with shitake mushrooms were fabulous!! Shitake mushrooms are not my favorite, but they cooked them so well, it has a buttery and almost lemon-pepper flavor! Definitely recommend the desserts also!
Tim Ray
Although we went specifically for dessert, (celebrating a birthday) and drinks, we absolutely loved the food, the hot toddys, and the service! It was all fabulous! We plan on going back for dinner, for sure. I cannot wait to experience and taste more of this place.
Tim Keeney
Service was excellent and our dinners were delicious. Highly recommend the braised beef. 4 stars because it was really loud inside. Great crowd enjoying themselves but loud. We'll definitely be back!
Soumik Ghose
Friendly service with great tasting food. Portions could be a little better. Cocktails were excellent. Atmosphere is lively and up scale. Great location with convenient valet parking. Outdoor dining tables are not the best but better than most places. Overall had a very nice time with large family group.
Mary Lee Bannes
We followed executive chef Evy here, what a smart move by Niche!! At Sunday brunch we started with the beignets, offered with a house made light fresh cheese and plum compote, delicious! My husband had the French toast with lemon curd, so light and the lemon curd, perfection, no need for syrup. We shared breakfast potatoes, sounds so simple, but don’t pass these up!! Small potatoes with a crunch on the outside and the softest cloud of a potato on the inside. I had the French onion soup, FANTASTIC! Our server Hailey was very attentive even though we sat in the outside tent. (We were the only people in the tent, don’t pass this up either, it is heated with no wait! It was like we had our own private brunch!) What else can I say? We have followed Evy from The Last Kitchen to Pastaria to Brasserie and we would follow her to the ends of the earth! We met Evy at a dinner for the Chaine St. Louis at The Last Hotel where we enjoyed the most delicious multi course dinner my husband and I have ever had, you should follow her also!!

The service was excellent, and it was a very fun anniversary date with my wife. I give it only 4 stars because the food itself was just ok. It was good, but not great (way too much salt on most of the dishes). The dessert was amazing.
Mark Dudzik
Felt and tasted like an authentic French restaurant experience. Great food, atmosphere and friendly service.
sarah harris
My husband and I came here for our first anniversary dinner and our experience was amazing! Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. We got champagne on the house to help us celebrate. Our food came quickly and tasted fantastic! I recommend trying the bistro steak and the chicken. Everything about this place is amazing!
Sam
Every item we tried was very delicious and elegantly put together
David Hunter
Had an amazing experience with my lady for her birthday. Service was great with knowledgeable suggestions.
Gloria Loncharich
Service was great, food was incredible. The mussels were perfect.
Mark Henry
Delicious food and solid service. Very busy for brunch but the staff took care of our every request.
Audri
Wow!!
Everything was so delicious
I tried escargot for the first time. So good!!
We made a reservation (suggested) and was seated quickly.
Our waiter was Caleb. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and very friendly.
The food portion size was great for the price.
We will be back. ☺️

I asked for the steak tartare not to include garlic (which is usually not used in classic steak tartare, but I just wanted to make sure). Waiter said "chef already has that in his tartare mix". Then came back five minutes later and said she made a mistake and it was shallots not garlic. When the tartare arrived, I thought perhaps the chef was making a joke on me, because it literally tasted as though it were only chopped/minced beef, with nothing else added. Blandest tartare i've ever had.
I had read a Jan. 2022 review that spoke so glowingly of their cassoulet and confit, and I was disappointed that it wasn't even on the menu.
Otherwise, a quiet, elegant spot, and the waitress was attentive, courteous, and kind.
Craig Thomas
Fries were great. Rest of meal just OK. For the price, I expected a lot better. Every time the front door opened, we were hit by a blast of cold air. I feel sorry for those who were sitting even closer to the door than we were.
Malena Reyes
I could not have picked a better place for my covid birthday! Gina was my server and was absolutely charming along with the entire staff. The drinks were smooth and paired nicely with the meal. I ordered escargot as an appetizer and was impressed by the unique flavors. I also ordered the special of the night and was again amazed by the creamy lobster sauce and decadent presentation. I will definitely be coming back!
Jerry Campbell
Always empeccable service + well curated menu & features.
Hard to be a good customer because went from walk-ins welcome to no available reservations for months.
Brandon Hentze
Brassarie is an anchor of the Central West End. The French-American cuisine is true to form, and the brunch is especially delightful. In addition to the cozy atmosphere in winter and the Parisian outdoor patio in the summer, Brasserie has an excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Well worth a visit for locals or visitors!
Tanya Parker
Have loved Brasserie for years. Awesome resilient staff who have weathered Covid with grace and generosity. The atmosphere is so lively it will get you out of any funk. Food is always good.
Nick Teal
Went for brunch and it was really good! Shared a burger, eggs Benedict, and beignets - all great. It is a little crowded / noisy, but it's part of the atmosphere.
Kimberly Rupert
We had our anniversary dinner last night and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. They welcomed us with champagne because we were celebrating. We dined on gougères, cervelle de canut, braised beef, cassoulet, and finished the evening with a floating island. Everything was delicious. The service was wonderful as well, almost stealth-like. We are looking forward to dining here again!
Michael S
My friend and I sat at the bar and Paris, our bartender, was amazing! The cocktails and food were fantastic and the experience was perfect. Definitely coming back.
Megan Morrissey
Service and atmosphere is excellent and food delicious. We had to wait a little for our reservation because people were lingering at the table and so they gave us Champaign while we waited and free appetizer without us even asking or saying anything about the wait. We had the braised beef and steak and dessert and it was all so delicious.
Spencer Berenz
Great drinks, great food (when it's by niche, it's always phenomenal), and an awesome server. Mood lighting - so very dim. Might want to try to find the menu ahead of time, saw plenty of other people using phone flashlights to see the menu.
Chaney Jewell
My favorite brunch in all of St. louis! My favorite order is the quiche and french toast (basically an amazing bread pudding with lemon curd on top). Top it all off with fresh squeezed orange juice and a cup of coffee (why not both?) and you're off to a great Sunday morning.
Shane
Went for brunch on Valentines Day and of course it was busy but it was a lovely experience! The food was nice, surprisingly the French fries were the best part! Couldn’t eat the beignets (they were good though!) and the super nice waitress insisted on taking them off the tab for us! Enjoyed how strong the drinks were, but maybe avoid them if you’re a lightweight and don’t want to get drunk after one. They had cute little bags to put your mask in and had a QR code for their menu on it though they still had paper menus they’d give out.
Also it was funny that it was about 7 degrees out so they had a heater near the door pointed into the restaurant to keep the draftiness down and one patron decided she wanted the heater only on her so everyone else got bursts of arctic air which provided another topic of conversation, thanks lady!
Shane Jones
Unfortunately there aren't many French restaurants in the STL area. Fortunately there's this one!! The food is wonderful! The bar and patio area are very nice and inviting, and Jennifer (the manager), always takes very good care of us. Can't wait to go again, and would highly recommend it to anyway who wants authentic French cuisine.
rich ames
My wife and I visited for the first time this evening. We both had the roasted chicken and it was fantastic. Quiet, quaint and a very relaxing atmosphere with excellent service. We will definitely return. My only regret is that I cannot remember our servers name. I wish I could give him the proper credit.
Michelle
Oliva waitress was lovely. Highly recommend the goat cheese tart, french onion soup and the confit duck leg over polenta! A bit noisy but worth it.
Dimonchik
I wouldn’t say there is something special, feels like average decent restaurant at STL, food was great but small portion, dark, overpriced. Not about french kitchen only dish name.
Ben Maschan
Everything was wonderful. Looking forward to adding this to our list of regular spots we go.
Emily Cullins
I just got home from Brasserie and wanted to write a review while I’m still floating from the wonderful experience! I had the bistro steak, French onion soup and floating island for dessert. My mom has the roasted chicken. It was all perfect! The service was excellent! Our server, Caleb, was personable and attentive. The manager, Jen also made sure that we were having a good experience and made the environment even more welcoming. The atmosphere is cozy, and the space is all around beautiful. Don’t wait for a special occasion, just go.
R Jason Townsend
Had a lovely night dining on the patio. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. I had a vegetarian meal and it was outstanding. Didn't feel like I was missing out by not having meet. I would definitely go back again.
Unkn0wn C0mmand
Brasserie was an exceptional experience in a town filled with good food choices. I got an iron-skillet roast/seared chicken dish that was absolutely amazing and will definitely order again in the future. Their complementary bread is addictive, and their bacon salad is sublime. The staff here was very good and did an excellent job making sure our dining experience was one to remember. A bit expensive compared to other St. Louis offerings (salad was $14, entree was $26) Brasserie makes for a great special occasion venue. Highly recommended.
Chef Fatima
It was delicious, very flavorful dishes! The desert cookies are amazing!
Vince Perniciaro
Perfect dining experience. Terrific food, great atmosphere and wonderful staff. They made my daughter's birthday special. I highly recommend you try them out.
Kassandra Wolf
We had a lovely Anniversary dinner here tonight. Every course was delicious! We started with the gougères and the escargot. I had the Ratatouille and my husband had the Duck Confit as our entrees. We finished with the Chocolate Mouse and the Salted Chocolate Pot de Creme. They even wrote "Happy Anniversary" on our dessert plates in chocolate. The ambiance was perfect for the meal. Our server was always there when we needed him without feeling like he was hovering over us. There are so many other things on the menu that I want to try. We'll be back soon.
Robert Matschiner
Delightful main dinner and related offerings. Very friendly staff. Service a bit slow as the house was packed. Also a little loud but understandably so. We were offered a complimentary drink due to crowding related delays. A nice touch. Seemed to be a go to place for the CWE crowd. Valet parking a convenience for us elderly folks. We opted out of dessert but they nevertheless brought us some sweets to split with our birthday girl. Hopefully we make it back soon. Maybe a midweek sitting would find it less crowded. But in any event we hope to return soon.
Matthew Beatty
I was in town for business and was recommended Brasserie, and went alone without a reservation. They happily found me a spot despite a relatively busy night. They have a menu of the day 3 course option priced very attractively, and a solid beer selection, many local, for a more wine centric establishment. William was a very attentive waiter, and the ambiance was lovely. I would love to go back with my partner next time in STL.
Michelle B
We had an excellent dinner last evening. Both the food and service was spot on. Highly recommend!
Ronald Keith La Niear
1st and foremost, our waitress (Ashley B) was excellent, careful, and genuine.
The outside ambiance was great: not pretentious.
The menu of the day was so fitting, and they split it for us because we decided to share it.
Lastly, my wife and I can't say enough about Ashley B: she definitely set the tone for our lovely evening.
Jonnathan J Rodriguez
Good dinner at this place, sat outside, weather was nice and we got to catch up with good friends. Everyone on the table expressed been happy with their meals (everyone ate everything on their plate, just my wife brought some chicken home)... I am pretty happy with my selection: French onion soup (solid), braised beef (really good!!) and for drink I ordered a paloma, it was a well done cocktail; for dessert order the blueberry one (again, solid). It was a very good dinner.
Erika Young
I visited for an early weeknight dinner. The staff was very nice in helping chose from the menu as it was my first time there. The food was good, a little over priced. But I enjoyed their cocktails!
Tina Metroplos
Delicious vegan main, great ambience, shisito pepper app off menu was a delight!
terrence bradford
Me and my wife picked this spot to celebrate our 30 wedding anniversary and it was awesome!
Joe Borich
Staff was fantastic! Tracy made sure that we had an amazing evening. 10/10, will be back
Lee Dalton
Elegant dining experience without being gauche or stuffy. Food and drink are exquisite - we love both dinner and brunch at Brasserie, from the braised beef, trout and french onion soup to the beignets and eggs Benedict. Restaurant is also quite generous to its regulars - with acknowledgement to PARIS and CHRIS. Wish there were more places like Brasserie in St. Louis - but appreciate the establishment all the more for its rarity!
Max Harlynking
Great place for dinner or a solid brunch. Beignets, duck, and all the classics you would expect, done well. Would recommend, even if you’re coming from out of town only for a little while
Ari Zachary
This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. I think that the pan chicken with mushrooms is the best chicken I've ever had in my life! Definitely go here if you're in the area. Evening seating out on the sidewalk is lovely.
Ticky W
So happy we came across this restaurant last week. Great food, wonderful service and the staff really worked as a team!
Melissa Cervantes
I had just the best time at Brasserie by Niche tonight. I was a solo diner walking in at 9pm as I am just in the area for work briefly. The staff was so nice and accommodating and I really enjoyed the typical French, romantic atmosphere--it did remind me of being back in Paris. I had the Goat Cheese Tart and the Beef tartare -- both were delicious and a generous portion. For dessert I had the Floating Island with an Americano (big points for having an espresso machine on hand!). Cocktails I tried were the Parisian, a perfect aperitif and the Brasserie Old Fashioned which was a nice twist on a classic. I honestly felt like the prices were on the cheaper side for what I was getting. Definitely a great value. Gina was my server and did a wonderful job and although I didn't catch the manager's name, she was on point. I will definitely be back and bring my husband along next time. This is the perfect spot for date night--even if it's just yourself!
Cindy Leeson
We came here for our Anniversary. It was a nice place, but it was loud. They had a lot of guest that night. The food was your typical french food and it was all delicious. The staff was friendly and the service was great.
Judith Obiero
The waitresses were friendly, but she forgot our warm bread until we were done with our appetizers after reminding her, the menu was limited for us as vegetarians due to COVID-19 I guess. But when my partner order the veggie plate, for $24 it looked like a baby plate. If you gonna charge that much at least bring a reasonable portion. I chose that place for my partners father's day but I was disappointed. I liked the olives, and onion soup though.
Janeth G Clark
Everything from the food to the drinks to the service was great! Can’t wait to be back!
joerg seifert
A great little French Cafe in a great little neighborhood. The food was very good. I was not blown away, but that could have been the choices I that I made for my entree. My wife was extremely happy and the deserts were very good as well. Nice bourbon and wine selection and the service was incredibly attentive and friendly. We will certainly go back again.
Jayson Slobodzian
Wonderful "salt of the earth" French cuisine. I ordered the croque Madame, which is to die for. Bread was soft, perfect amount of gruyere, and the gravy was rich and flavorful. My date ordered the braised beef which you can cut with a fork, literally melt in your mouth. Wine and cocktail list was excellent. If you're in St. Louis you MUST have a meal here.
Christina Amalia
Gracious, friendly service and food served as its best self. One of the best meals we've eaten in St. Louis!
Faybra Jabulani
One of my favorite brunches. Nice patio and great servers. 💕 …
Halley Staples
I had an unfortunate experience with the Postmate who was supposed to pick up my order, and the staff at Brasserie was so accommodating and apologetic about my experience. When I picked up my food, the staff was warm and even threw in a bottle of wine for my trouble. Excellent food and customer service. I will definitely be eating here again!
Jessie Stege
My husband and I came here for my birthday dinner after follo6them on Instagram for awhile. The food absolutely blew me away. Starting from the delicious Pumpkin Spice Pickaxxe cocktail, to my chocolate mousse dessert. I'm so happy we finally got to eat here, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and hearty meal.
David Ruppel
Fantastic ambiance and service. The burger was a bit salty. After having other entrees it seems everything is very very salty.
Aaron Mahl
I was visiting town on business and our client recommended we grab drinks next door at Taste and have dinner at Brasserie. What's the rule at restaurants? Never order the chicken? Not so at Brasserie! My client recommended the chicken and I ordered it. It was amazing. My co-worker enjoyed her meal as well. Simply fantastic. Cool atmosphere. I'll be back.
Kerry Griffiths
The service was top notch and the food was delicious! The entire staff was warm, especially our server.
Christina Chulka
This was my first experience with this restaurant and I was very impressed. I went with a couple friends and a friend's family for dinner.
First, the wait time for food is longer than one would expected. If you are in a rush this is not the place to go. It is quite dim and comfortable.
However, the wait is worth it.
The food was extremely fresh and tasted amazing. The server was very kind, professional, and encouraged us to take our time.
There is not a parking structure but street parking is available. Outside looks very charming but can be easily missed. Overall, I had a great experience.
Amber Fisher
Always an incredible experience at Brasserie. The staff is kind and professional. The food is always executed perfectly and consistent. The atmosphere is cozy, warm and welcoming- I particularly love it during winter with several glasses of their mulled wine. During COVID they have been nothing short of exceptional and prepared. Big thanks to the entire staff!!!

Very nice area to sit outside and enjoy an espresso. The beignets are delicious, more specifically the fresh cheese and plums that come with it! Altogether, the flavors are very nice. The eggs Benedict and breakfast potatoes were really good too. I was very happy with everything I got. The service is good too. I will definitely return!
Jess Harman
The atmosphere is A+ (amber lighting, high ceilings, very French decor); the food is delicious (get 4 courses you won’t regret it); the service is prompt & friendly.
Chase McDowell
My girlfriend and I went here for our anniversary, it was a nice quiet Sunday night in the Central West End. We sat inside and were promptly served drinks. First of all I love the beer selection, it had plenty of different types of beers and some I've never heard of so I tried the Civil Life The Angel and the Sword (I love all things Civil Life), and the Octoberfest. For Starter we ordered the Fromage which is a tray of various breads and cheeses. I've never had tasted anything quite like the cheese, but it tasted very rich and tangy, we loved the unique flavors. For mains, my girlfriend had ordered the Scallop dish that came with potatoes and I ordered the Steak with fries plus an order of Mac and Cheese. All of the dishes were amazing but the Mac and Cheese knocked my socks off. wow. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and her scallops were top notch. We loved our experience here. It was a perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you Brasserie!
Ekaterina Esaulova
Going to a Brasserie at least couple of times a month. The food is so close to european and very tasty! My favorite is braised beef. I love that they have both menu items that are not changing and new options every couple of month. I recommend it for nice and classy date or evening!
Claire Ackiss
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. It is special without being too formal or over-priced. Wonderful food and drinks-- I would especially recommend the braised beef. And the mousse is amazing. We came here for my husband's birthday and we will absolutely be back often.
Katherine Langdon
I've been here for weekend brunch and for New Year's Eve. The staff are impeccable, the menu is quite French and a nice indulgent change of pace, and the food preparation is a bit hit-or-miss, in my limited experience. I remember brunch being quite good, but it's been a while. On NYE (they may have been overwhelmed) the braised beef was in an overpoweringly salty sauce, the trout was a bit underwhelming, the mousse was ok with a rather bitter biscuit in it. The bread, sourced from a local bakery, was fantastic. Crowding can be an issue, it's so popular. If people don't clear out after eating it can interfere with later reservations.
Vicki Burgess
Absolutely great food and service but a little loud un the restaurant. We ended up outside so we could visit.
Kelsie Bayless
Came to visit some friends and this place was amazing! Great food, super kind staff, and very accommodating of social distancing.
Gray Pendleton
Great cocktails, French Onion soup and Steak Frites
Rachel Shuman
This was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Everything was perfect. The food was exceptional, and we had a lot of it. The service was just as good. Highly recommend.
Fishin' In Scrubs
Great atmosphere, good food... Would dine here again...
Lavetta Stevenson
Really nice atmosphere. Not upscale nice. Just a different experience. I went based on a recommendation from my stylist. I was not impressed. Tables are way to close. I didn't go to network with the people next to me. Which happen to be 5 inches away. Kind of expensive. I had the dish with white beans, sausage and rice. And it had a big hunk of salt pork on the side. You should try it. It is a once every six month place for me.
C J Doyle
Had a wonderful Thursday evening dinner with several friends for Outside Patio Dinning. This was our first restuarant dinner out in 6 months. Food was great. Brasserie handled all safety guidelines well. We would return again. Great Food and Service! C J Alpine Travel Club

If you want to get your brunch on, look no further. This french style cuisine is pretty bomb. I tried the french toast with lemon custard. I didn't even know I was obsessed with lemon custard but I definitely am now. My partner had a breakfast like skillet which was savory and filling. There were so many nuances like plush bench seats to small creamer holders. The staff seem to really enjoy working where they do which is always comforting. Now, this is not some where I could afford as student to numerous mimosas or turn up on a Sunday. The price range is higher but its worth it because of the quality. However, if you want a lovely breakfast with a SO or friends, I would highly recommend checking this out. Also, the patio is dog friendly, bonus!
Tommy Manson
Fantastic service and a decked out brunch! Amanda is the best bartender and a great host!
Ramin Rostampour
I think this may very well be the best meal I've ever had. The Brioche French Toast quite literally has changed my life. Our server Sarah was very attentive and did a great job. My only complaint is it was approximately a 45 minute wait between ordering and our food arriving.
Katie T
we went for my birthday. We were able to sit outside, and the wait staff was very accommodating. It was my 35th birthday, and they provided us dessert with a cute candle and a message from the chef. It was very thoughtful. We ordered the brisket and it was so incredible. We would have gotten more if there was an option to!
Joyce Butler
Toast entirely burnt and eggs were cold on eggs Benedict. Very surprised they would send out black toast. Potatoes were good. Desserts were not my taste but others at the table seemed to enjoy. Server was good and patient with large table. Appreciate valet. Will probably not go back unless invited with a group.
Brice Stoffel
I always have a wonderful experience at Brasserie. I have been multiple times and I am never disappointed. The service is always excellent and the food is fantastic.
Joshua Giles
Upscale french restaurant with an excellent menu of countryside favorites and chique presentation. The wine and liquor menu is solid with a fairly large number of great whiskies at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend the pork belly and braised beef, but everyone in my party enjoyed it. The restaurant is busy even on a Tuesday, so reservations are advised.
Patricia Frank
Excellent food & service. Loved Annie, our server.

We had an awesome dining experience! The food was good and the drinks were strong 😊....Our waitress Paris was an amazing host...! We will definitely be dining there again! 💓 …
Daniel Ryan
Nice restaurant in the central west end.
We had a party of five with reservations all arriving 5 to10 minutes apart. We came for brunch with the restaurant being crowded and were seated immediately. Beignets and coffee were ordered and served very quickly. Everyone ordered something different for an entree and everyone loved their choice. I would recommend Brasserie by Niche and will return.
Alex Garcini
We had an absolutely delicious meal. Every course was flavorful and executed to perfection. Great staff too; very friendly and attentive!
Joseph Clemons
Delicious and wonderful Brunch experience!
Tony Hrbek
Had a great experience here during lunch a few weeks back. Finally getting around to writing a review! There were four of us in our business group and everyone ordered something different. We were all very happy with the food and service. Give the Brasserie a try! It's a little on the pricey side but the food is very good.
Carolyn Chivetta
Top-notch food choices and the serving staff is very friendly. 4 star is only because the menu is quite pricey for the amount of food you get and there aren't many lower fair options. Expect to pay $27+ a plate with the average being in the $30+. If I knew that going in, maybe it wouldn't have been such a shock. Enjoyed every bite though. Cocktails are phenomenal.
Katy Hobbs
The BEST brunch experience EVER!!!!
Leigh S
Food was good but the meal was sloooow. Two hours for apps and entrees (no cocktails). We decided against dessert because we were afraid of how much longer it might take. Even for a romantic dinner, my husband and I got a little impatient. There was also water dripping from above onto our table and food - likely condensation from the pipe - which detracted from the experience. We'll try going back another time to see if we just caught the kitchen on a busy/understaffed night.
Mike Presson
Great for a date night!
Very cool setup. Service was perfect, the meal starts with fresh French bread and butter. I was a little sad they didn't have any Pino grigio but the savignion blanc was tasty. We had the steak +fries and the scallops. Steak won the day with whatever great sauce was on top. A couple of my scallops were a tad overcooked but they were good and fresh.
Dave Monaghan
Quaint and Delicious food. I was there for a brunch and it was awesome. Not inexpensive, but I didn't expect it to be and the atmosphere and food made it worth it. Will go for dinner soon.
Sharon Swan Tieszen
My daughter & I went on a Friday & ate at the bar (which was surprisingly comfortable) because the restaurant side was packed. The menu had a lot of options & the food was excellent -- as was the service. My wine-by-the-glass was a red blend that had a silken mouth feel and was absolutely delicious (Grenache-Mourvèdre-Syrah). My daughter had the grapefruit mocktail and it was quite good as well. And the desserts were wonderful. Word to the wise: Do NOT miss the gougères -- if I lived anywhere near this restaurant, I would be ordering them to go at least once a week!

While I no longer live in the CWE, I will continue to make my way back to Brasserie again and again. Reason #351: They have THE BEST BURGER IN ST. LOUIS. Yep, I said it. And I've had many a burger across town at all sorts of dining establishments, and this is the one. Simple but mightily flavorful, it is both satisfying and substantial--juicy patties with melted american cheese, dijonnaise, thinly sliced dill pickle, onion, and served on a brioche bun with a healthy-sized portion of shoestring pomme frites and ketchup/aioli. Doesn't get any better than a Brasserie burger! Other items worthy of note: the chicken au jus is THE BEST chicken dish we have ever had from any restaurant, ever. No hyperbole there, just fact, folks. The pates, cheese boards, French onion soup, floating island dessert, fresh ice creams and sorbets, gougères, and hand-crafted cocktails never, ever dis appoint.
Here's the best part: the food is just the beginning. The REAL reason to go is for the first-rate-every-single-time experience, curated by GM Jennifer and her team of exemplary servers. We had Alyssa last night, and she was SPECTACULAR. But this isn't an anomaly; this is what service looks like *every night* at Brasserie. And the same goes for Melinda and her team behind the bar--top tier service every time.
Brasserie has taken COVID-19 and the pandemic very seriously. Tables are much more spaced out than they were pre-pandemic, and the entire team is fully masked and (politely) corrective of guests who enter the restaurant unmasked. I've appreciated this very much, as I've been erring on the side of caution from the start.
I send out-of-town friends and clients here all the time because the food is consistently delightful, the staff makes me feel like I'm royalty, and the experience is as fun and uplifting as it gets. When I got to eat at Brasserie after many months away due to the pandemic, I literally teared up with excitement and gratitude. Still get all the feels every time I enter Brasserie.

I live in the CWE, and this restaurant is hands-down the best, most consistent, most delicious place to dine in the neighborhood. Every. Single. Time.
Last night we began with the frisée salad, which was beautifully presented with a perfectly cooked poached egg atop. I had the sea scallops, which were also cooked to perfection and paired with citrus and shallots - magnificent. My hubs had his go-to: the chicken, which is arguably the best chicken dish you will ever have. We had the chocolate mousse (with the house’s compliments) and a scoop of homemade ice cream for dessert. Magical from start to finish!
What separates Brasserie from the rest is the service that the team delivers. Jennifer, the GM, treats us like family every time we come in. Melinda, the bar GM, is equally warm, hospitable, and a lot of fun to converse with when we are at the bar with her. The waiters and waitresses take pride in the work they do, and they operate as one unified team - an indicator of great leadership at the helm.
Go to Brasserie, and you will never be disappointed!
Scott
Was hoping for a little quieter spot, but that's ok. Otherwise the food was amazing. The braised beef is super tender and full of flavor. My folks had the trout, and while I'm not generally a big fan of fish, it was really tasty as well. My girlfriend had the veggie tart, she really liked it, but not my style. Creme brulee for dessert was also excellent.
Colleen Piel
The French onion soup was superb. When I return, I will definitely get that again. Our server was excellent, too.
Michael Bender
Good food and atmosphere. Nice outdoor dining spot.
Lindsey
I took a group here for dinner and the food was phenomenal. I had the trout and we shared a meat and cheese platter. It was more than enough food to leave our party of 6 feeling well fed. We took advantage of their happy hour by arriving early and enjoyed half off beer and wine during our meal (4-7)
Brenton Garrett
My wife and I traveled to St Louis this weekend for our anniversary trip. We decided to do French cuisine and didn't know what to expect. Let me just say the experience, atmosphere, and food was incredible! I had the pan roasted trout with asparagus. My wife had the braised beef of some kind. The trout was so buttery and decadent, I was almost overwhelmed by the palette of flavors. I think the main ingrediant was whole stocks of butter lol. Our waiter Peter was informstive, pleasant, and treated you like you were the most important person in the world. Awesome restaurant. I'd do it again next time I'm in town.
Lumix Photo
Nice place with some French flavor. Being a vegetarian not many options but that was okay with a large team dinner
Kellen Stevens
Try the Brasserie burger. It is well seasoned and the cheese helps the overall flavor as well.
The service was great! The staff makes sure that your water glass is full. It took a while for our food to come out, however. In fact, it took so long that the manager offered our table free drinks, but that is just a representation of the level of service that is provided.
Zohair Khan
Great atmosphere, great service, but the food leaves something to be desired. It's decent, but for the highest rated restaurant in the area I was expecting much better. The food is a bit too buttery and I think the menu could be more interesting, especially for a "French" restaurant. It seems very "wannabe nice restaurant" and if you've been to good restaurant in NYC, Chicago or even Cleveland you'll be disappointed.
Most people won't notice this, and maybe I got unlucky, but the dishes had a terrible smell. The glasses, the utensils and the plates all had this smell. I noticed this it during he meal but figured it was something in the air until I got a good wiff of the silverware during dessert, so if you've got a sensitive noise I would be wary of this place.
P.S. I had dinner.
Nathan D
It was the first time I had been to that area of St Louis to eat. There was a nice atmosphere of both the restaurant and the surrounding area. The food was pretty good. I went for brunch on a Saturday, and there was a nice crowd there. What I ordered was more sophisticated and creatively laid out rather than being a homestyle type of food. I would like to go back there again.
Marc Roberts
What city has one of the BEST casual bistro’s? SF? NYC? Nope...STL!!! Brasserie by Niche!
Never disappointed. Always a fantastic experience. The only difficult part is what to order. From French Onion Soup to Cassoulet. Mussels in White Wine to Roasted Chicken. The Vegetable Tart to Brasserie Burger. Everything is superb! They also make great cocktails. Make sure to check out their delicious Blood & Sand offering.
Highly recommend!
Rod Jackson
The food here is fantastic! Our server tonight was Max. He has only worked there for two weeks, but he took care of multiple tables flawlessly. Also, you have to try the lardons! Had them on my salad and got a side order with my steak. Love this place!
Chris Fasano
Fantastic food. Excellent location in the Central West End. Perfect for weekend brunch. The beignets are some of the best I have ever had. This is a good date spot especially in the summer when you can enjoy the outdoors seating.
Thanaphat Chananukul
Great chilled atmosphere. Service was nice and it was a little expensive but nothing that would break the bank. Good place to kick back a drink with friends. Side note, they don't have a lot of food options so you should definitely eat a little something before coming.
Francesca Gordini
Every time I visited St. Louis, I made sure to come check out this place for brunch. Few plates on the menu, plus some daily specials make it easy to choose among delicious plates. OMG... I still dream about those puffed pastry with cheese and homemade plum preserve... what a treat for the palate! Since I'd rather not spoil the entire menu (I think I tried pretty much every dish), I just encourage you to go.
Still not enough?!? Their drinks list is even better than their food menu.
5 stars for the ambience, decorations and their staff.
Clara Greenstreet
Amazing food and a wonderful experience all together!
Nathan Ralston
This is a really nice place to go for an upscale dinner.
Shannon Miller
This has become our go to "date night" spot. The food is always excellent and the staff really goes above and beyond. My husband ordered a steak medium rare once but it came out looking quite well done. The manager immediately came over and took care of just by seeing the look on his face when he cut into the steak. She offered me a glass of wine as we waited for his new steak and wouldn't let us leave without TWO desserts. It's that attention to detail and service that sets Brasserie above the rest. They also have a great patio at front that for an hour or two makes you feel like you're in Paris. If you're looking for a date not spot or a place to take friends from out of town, this is the place.
Nate (Scrum King)
Wow! Incredible! My wife and I went out to celebrate Belgian National Day (Bon Fête Nationale!) and were seeking something befitting of the cuisine of her home. Brasserie was the perfect fit!
Our service was beyond great! The food was perfect! The atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect if you strolled into a Brasserie in Brussels, or Paris.
I highly recommend this place for a nice evening out. Price is $$ (on a $ - $$ - $$$ scale). Very much worth it.
Andy Shirley
The food was good! My wife and I had wonderful time; however, their old fashioned was not good at all. If you love an old fashioned please avoid.
Jessica Stanton
Went to Brasserie this past Saturday and had a really enjoyable experience. Had a full meal at the bar and Lindsey took great care of us. The escargot, trout amandine, and baked alaska were fantastic. Will definitely be back.
Mona Jaisinghani
Food is absolutely delicious!! Waffle with plum compote, whipped creams and hazelnut literally a burst of flavors in each bite. This place is a must try.
Dawei Li
The waiter here was really nice, I always knew that this place is the best dating place! The three course meal is just the right types, no matter it's starter or entree or dessert, each are cooked really perfectly, and served pretty fast as well. Impressed by this genuine French restaurant!
Malcolm Spence
House red wine was great and the French onion soup was a reminder of the trips made to Famous Barr restaurant with my late wife. Chock full of onions, bread and chewy cheese. Hmmm.
Ted Gast
Delicious french cuisine. Outdoor dining. Covid compliant
SCOTT BUENGER
For such an upscale restaurant it sure was noisy. Could not even have a conversation across the table. Was our first time there, but left after our drinks came. No one’s food is that good. Could not stand the noisy crowd. Will not waste my time to go back.
Eric Galburt
Great tasting food and a nice vibe.
Connor Norman
High-class, high-quality, without a morsel of pretentiousness; it's both a step backward and a step forward into time, backward in that the ambiance reminds you of a scene in a Hollywood-glamour romance film, and forward when we inevitably as a species become less fascinated with our phones and seek something authentic; a bite of anything is less of what it is if our mind is elsewhere and that's the beauty of Brasserie: it draws you into the moment on its sheer charm alone, and fully present, you not only taste each bite, you feel it. It's a truly special restaurant, and my favorite for good reason. I tend to go alone, but when I don't, I only bring very close friends, and enjoy watching their eyes light up when they sample any of the breathtaking items on the menu. The short answer: go to Brasserie.
Kevin McGree
I cannot say enough how great the food and service here was. we had an amazing dish, and the cocktail was so fantastic. this is a great french style place to grab some food that will fill you up.
Spencer Pernikoff
Most likely St. Louis' best French restaurant. If you went a few years back and didn't like it, I advise you to go again—I wasn't a fan, but now I'm in love. Whether it's for something casual like a burger/bratwurst and beer or a romantic dinner complete with gougeres, roasted chicken, whole fish, and some of the most decadent desserts in our fine city, it's a great choice.
Carole de Monclin
We went on a Saturday for lunch. Unfortunately, they only serve brunch on weekends. Though, the eggs benedict were fantastic and the île flottante was marvelous. The room was very busy and noisy, but service was good. Highly recommend for the quality of the food.
Lisa Whelpley
Fantastic brunch food and service. Very good burger.
Kelly Phelan
This is a great date night spot, great food and atmosphere. The staff is lovely and the drinks are very well crafted!
Elizabeth Van Dyke
The food here is wonderful and it is very popular and can be very busy so reservations are recommended. The wait staff is wonderful, they do a fantastic job. It is very noisy however. It is hard to hear so the best times to go are either early in the evening or later in the evening. The height of dinner time is when it is the busiest and the noisiest.
Erin FitzPatrick Nazetta
The best French restaurant in St. Louis! Excellent service, beautiful venue and delicious food. The pan roasted chicken is my favorite.
Brian Dempsey
Great food! Great service!
Leigh'ann Payne
I went to Brasserie Sunday evening with my family. My 1 year old niece with us and we were nervous bringing a young child with us. We received exceptional service!! The French onion soup is to die for! Definitely will be back!
Boris Dieseldorff
Always good. Tartines awesome, all the egg stuff is awesome, the French toast is a great sweet option. The french fries here are some of my favorite anywhere. The eggs en cocotte has ranged from one of my favorite breakfasts down to "good", so do be aware ymmv on that one.
Deanna Davidson
Best Trout EVER...brown butter and pistachios for the win! Great service and lovely atmosphere.
Cindy La
The food was good! I had the Croque Madame, and while it was good I've had better. The beignets were delicious but not New Orleans style. I didn't like how crowded it was, but the service was very nice.
Delmor Donald
We started with the gougeres and fromage plate. Both were wonderful. They even have the recipe for the gougeres hanging on the wall inside! Very cool. I had the steak with bernaise sauce and my friend had the scallops. My steak came with fries which I thought was a little pedestrian, but oh man, were these fries out of this world. I tried some of my friend 's scallops and could not believe how good they were; they literally melted in my mouth
Elena Zeidman
Friendly staff with a good ambiance. Don't pass on the French onion soup.
Johnathan Eftink
This is one of the best French restaurants in the Saint Louis area. It was my first time here tonight and nearly everything I had was tremendously good. We started with Onion soup, followed by Country Pate with whole grain mustard, and then I had the roasted chicken while my fiancee had the boeuf bourguignon. The only critique I can really offer is that neither of us were enthralled about the onion soup. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly great either (very thick broth and somewhat sweet). Other than that this has, since tonight, become one of my favorite restaurants in Saint Louis. To get any better one would have to venture to Chicago or another great foodie town. (Also, Brasserie was a contender for a prestigious James Beard Foundation award, so you know they're doing something right.)
Kelsey McNabb
My husband & I had a great experience! We ate at the bar before our show at the Fox and we were on a time crunch. The bartenders were both so accommodating and the food was excellent.
Lobo L.
Delicious brunch with generous portions, loads of charm, and impeccably attentive service, Brassiere covers all the bases. You may find challenges with parking on the street, so be sure to use the available valet services.
Trenton Dunahee
Fantastic food. Great atmosphere. A great evening with one of the best steaks I've ever had. Highly recommend. (Also get the French Onion Soup)
Chris Dietz
Hands down the best burger in St Louis and it's at this adorable french restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. I didn't personally bring my own dog but there were some outside so it's safe to say they are pet friendly when seated outside.
Jennifer Parker
I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Enviroment is so welcoming, cute intimate patio, interior has old wood floors that creak as you walk them just so much added character. Classy place but you dont feel you have to dress the part. Food is spectacular everything sampled was top notch. Def a brunch place. Have morning cocktails. Mimosas and fresh squeezed on, and tea selection. Drinks 10 of 10.Sweet beignets - fresh cheese and dried plum compote (8 of 10. Little moist interior but packed full of flavor and cheese and plum sauce made it great. Not typical beignet)Brioche french toast - (8 of 10. Another great dish. It is very moist. Long bath? I prefer my French toast on the crispy crunch side but this is not it. But still well done taste. But the whipped lemon curd pushed this to the top not even needing syrup.) French breakfast- looks like cheese board but was told very good (7 of 10)Brisket tartine (10 of 10 if they could make this better I do not know how. Brisket is better than most bbq joints so moist and flavorful. Bread gives it texture. Arugula amazing pepper flavor. Plus everything else. Amazing dish)Onion soup - 9 of 10 it's done to perfection only mark down is size options lil small.
Dominic Nardi
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Completely lives up to the high expectations that many led me to have.
Miriam Hasenclever
All the food and wine met our expectations.
Particularly enjoyed the mussels in wine sauce.
Had a medical emergency during visit. Waitress and staff quite efficient in boxing our food and assisting us.
Thomas Papouin
Very pricy for what it is. The escargot are watery (you want the butter to be thick enough so that it actually comes with the escargot when you pick one). The "steak frites béarnaise" is really a half pound of fries and the sauce falls quite short of being anything close to a bearnaise. Overall it was also very salty. Oh and when you order a $12 glass of wine, you'd want it served from the bottle in front of you - at least that's what you'd expect from a place that calls itself an old fashion brasserie. I would know, I'm from France.
Erin
I had the steak and it was phenomenal! I love the aesthetic and the service is great from the moment you are seating. Can't wait to come back and try more
Janie Pillai
Lovely restaurant with amazing menu! It was our anniversary and the whole staff was amazing. Our waiter, Caleb, was very attentive! Thank you for making our evening so special!
Steven Kidder
Caleb is a fantastic server. Always impresses me with his knowledge of the menu. Wine selection is impeccable & the food menu is phenomenal.
Elyse Irvin
Best customer service I’ve had in St. Louis in a very long time! Food was absolutely delicious! Server made a minor mistake with my order and the went way above and beyond to make up for it! Would highly recommend eating here!
Suzanne Carroll-Steevens
Great staff, super service. Food yummy
Monica L
Wonderful accommodation for our large party for brunch! The service and the food was excellent
Rex Davenport
Went for brunch and it was fantastic! All four of us had great meals and drinks and it was all the perfect portion size. Call ahead though, cause even though they have a lot of room, everyone else is trying to get in too!
Michael Lewis
Very Nice Brunch on Sunday and Atmosphere! I will also recommend not waiting to sit at a table and go to the bar to enjoy the company of the bartender. Thank u sir for making our first experience at Niche Great!
Ratna Pakpahan
He had a great time celebrating our anniversary. The food were delicious!!
Tim Mattingly
Normally great, disappointing this time.
Salads are a joke, a pile of bib lettuce with a dash of dressing for $10. Our roasted chicken arrived room temp after 90 minutes rather than searing hot as before. We will certainly think twice (or more) before returning.
Jon W.
The main courses were great. Appetizers were less so. Great staff and atmosphere, really enjoyed it.
Tabor McBride
My favorite brunch spot in the CWE! Mimosas have fresh squeezed OJ. There not a single thing on the menu I wouldn't recommend but my favorite is the eggs Benedict! Sit at the bar too... Chris will keep you entertained!
Thomas Glenn Crawford
Justin was a fantastic manager who insured we had a very special evening. Waiter Alexa was supurb. She went out of her way to help. Thanks a million for alk you do.
Cauliflower Soup, Chicken, and molten chocolate cake were to die for.
Thanks. I promise i will never visit St. Louis again without coming in for a wonderful eating experience! Glenn

OMD! (That's "Oh Mon Dieu!" 😍) As anyone who has read my reviews knows, I don't hand out 5 Stars very often; you really have to blow me away to get 5. Well, Gerard Kraft's Brasserie by Niche deserves 6 stars! Kraft is an award-winning chef and has created other outstanding restaurants in the St. Louis area, so it should surprise no one that his new Brasserie continues the trend. But Brasserie by Niche is not just "echt" French cuisine; they have captured the ambience and the attitude as well. If you have dined in Paris brasseries in the past, you'll probably be snobby and say this isn't quite authentic. But from fresh patés, smooth gratinée (soupe à l'oignon) and fresh locally sourced meats, vegetables and cheeses, Brasserie is the best St. Louis/French cooking on this side of the Atlantic.
Wines are great too--nothing out of reach, but still top-notch reds and whites. Didn't have room for dessert (next time), but the mousse au chocolat and the profitéroles looked beautiful.
All in all, a stellar meal.
Kenzie Clark
So awesome! Great service, fanTASTIC food, & such a cute atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here, & so did my tastebuds.
Bo Roche
Amazing food. Lovely location. Amazing staff.
Liz Savery
LOVE this place! The food is fresh, elegant and well-prepared. Whenever I'm in STL, I make sure to stop by -- and pray that the Coq au Vin is on the menu. Even if it's not, though, you can't go wrong.
Cameron Townsend
Good food. Friendly service. Nice drink and whiskey selection
Katie Marie
This is one of my most favorite places to eat. The food is always delicious and the employees are very kind.
James McCann
I had a wonderful experience here. The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's a tad bit expensive, but totally worth it as I will remember that meal my whole life.
Matt Cannon
Tried the croque madame, unusual 75, and the lavendar 75. All three were delicious and the waiter went above and beyond when he noticed that my fries looked less than perfect. He brought out a fresh batch and a side of aoli without any prompting.
Omer Kinran
Great atmosphere, great drinks and great food. Knocked it out of the park again !!! Ty.
Rodolfo Ploder
A piece of France is in our town. The menu is sophisticated yet affordable. The health practices are sufficient. Go and have a lovely evening inside or patio.
Michelle Janko
Nice atmosphere. Quality of food is good, but not $50 for a steak good. Service is good, but because of what you pay for the quality, we'll go elsewhere for French food.
CF
Always great food for a reasonable price. Classic “farmhouse” French food like cassoulet and what is one of the best roast chickens in town. A go-to dinning spot for me.
Anna-Marie Jimenez
Went for our anniversary dinner. Food was great. Service was great. Portions were a bit small for the price, but overall it was a very pleasant experience.
Celia Saavedra
Amazing food. Amazing service. The ambiance was nice. It was loud but that's to be expected in an old building. Highly recommend.
John Sonneville
Fantastic, authentic flavors with a European style patio dining experience. Great service, great wine, and amazing food! What's not to love?
David Liang
Food: 3
Decor: 3
Service: 3
Came here for dinner on a Sunday night.
1. Frisee Salad, 9
Bacon lardons, poached egg, bacon vinaigrette
~Really good. Perfect mix of salty bacon, poached egg, and crisp salad, with some crunchy croutons.
2. Cassoulet, duck confit, garlic sausage, bacon, tomato, white beans, 24
~Good. Served in a cast-iron pan. Protein was cooked well, and the beans and tomato were good. Quite filling though.
3. Floating Island (meringue), 8
~Mediocre. Meringue was a bit too sweet, and I only ate about a third of it.
Service was okay, although I almost had to flag my server down to order, and the bread took a while to arrive. Piping hot bread was fantastic though.
Courtney Lozano
Our server had a little attitude, the chicken and mushrooms came with 3 tiny mushrooms, the bread was delicious, the mussels were fine. Escargot was on point though!
Emily H
Absolutely incredible service and meal. One of the best meals I have eaten in St. Louis and a great place for a special occasion or just to treat yourself.
Jeff M
This has become one of my favorite resaurants in St. Louis. The food is classic Bistro fare with cassoulet, steak frites and boeuf bourgignon. The wine list is modestly priced value French wines that complement the menu selections. This is one of the few restaurants where I'll definitely order the roast chicken, it's amazing. Also, don't miss the Floating Island...a wonderful blend of sweet/salty and soft/crunchy.
Lana Fritsch
I was so excited to try Brasserie. It got high recommendations from friends, and before I even arrived I knew I was going to order the mussels for my main dish, bc they are one of my favorites. I had watercress soup for an app (delish!) and we split a cheese plate, (wonderful, but overpriced for the amount of cheese) and then came the mussels! To say I was disappointed in them was an understatement. Not only were they the SMALLEST mussels I've ever seen (no bigger than my thumbnail, despite regular-sized shells) they were completely flavorless. It was a huge let down walking out of there with a $300 bill and realizing I could have eaten better seafood at Broadway Oyster Bar. Oh, well. Lesson learned.
Patrick Scheu
Burger was ok. Fries were great, and so was the French Onion soup! Service was outstanding! Want to try some other things there.
David Berndt
Really enjoyed our meal. A bit loud and close to other tables so have to focus to hear your part not others. But food was great.
Fredrick Koury
The staff was wonderful and accommodating and did everything they could to help our group of 6 have an enjoyable evening. It feels like a special experience when the service matches the delicious food.
Matthew Nigrelli
The friend onion soup was delicious. The escargot was just okay. A bit pricey for the amount of food you get.
Jamie Freshley
Great happy hour. Best burger and love the happy hour wine
Darya Jackson
Great place to get familiar with basic home cooked French food. The prices are a bit higher than the ingredients would warrant, must be the function of supply (few French restaurants) and demand (public interest for French food).
Random Burger
A little disappointed, nothing really stands out, turns out the cocktail was the best.
Aaron Gregory
Fabulous french style food, relaxing atmosphere, and great staff! Made me feel like I was in a quaint french town.
David Allen
Amazing food, with quick and professional service. Prices are a bit high but you get what you pay for here and it's well worth the price.
Neresa De Biasi
Some of the most inventive and delicious vegetarian dishes I’ve ever had. Their banana creme brûlée was also incredible.
Laurel
Enjoyed the outdoor dining area on a warm October night. The menu du jour was delicious with thoughtfully paired dishes. Friendly service.
Annie Blount
Fantastic service, wonderful food! Simple ingredients combined into delicious dishes. Elegant feel without being stuffy.
emily s
Incredible dishes. I have loved everything I have eaten here from the salad course to dessert. A bit on the pricey side, but worth every penny.
Danni Eickenhorst
Ordered a salad and bunless burger and it was incredible. (Gluten free) Service was unbelievable. Will be back!
Nabil Foster
Great french bistro. Service is very slow; however, they are polite.
David Steele
Arguably the best restaurant in town. Perfect Frisee Salad. Delicious French Onion Soup. Mouthwatering Shoestring Fries and perfectly cooked steak.
Michael Frodyma
Went here for a business dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the food here. Without a doubt the onion soup is hands down the best French onion style soup I’ve ever had anywhere in the world.
Neira Kartal
Pretentious and snobby. Food is just OK for the price. Atmosphere is definitely lacking, at least out on the patio.
Seth Masterson
The food is fine but does not match up to its cost. The drinks are small and the crowd is a better dressed version from the Olive Garden.
Mark Frith
Wonderful brunch! Different than others, but delicious. Try the Beignets! The cream cheese and plums that accompany is truly fabulous.
HEXAGON J
onion soup is a must!
Brendan Knapp
Lives up to the hype. Very good French onion soup, fries, and entrees.
Kyle Roth
Great food and service! Highly recommend for a bday dinner with your partner :)
Shay
I am on the fence about this place. The food was so delicious, but almost all the other areas needed great improvement. That, and i'm not sure I'd ever pay that much for a sandwich again. If you dont mind the other stuff and just want something yummy... Pick here.
Debbie Newhouse
Delicious and wonderful service. It was a little oasis of Paris. Trout waa excellent, and the lardons salad was incredible. Would go back again!
Jeffrey Summers
Escargot was great, bistro steak with bernaisse sauce wonderful, drinks meh. Service friendly. Noisy!
Carson M.
Amazing brunch. French Toast was delicious and unique.
Ramin Rostampour
Absolutely one of the best brunches I've had in my entire life. I can't wait to come back
Gary Bingham
