I got the Santa Barbara sourdough burger. Wife got a regular char. This place is a tad more pricey then a typical burger place but I wouldn't say I found a huge difference in quality and taste compared to some local places north of seattle. Maybe it was just the day I went. Nobody was there Sunday night, but the employees were super friendly, the restaurant was very clean. Good vibe inside. The food just wasn't amazing or different in a substantial way. It was just good. A big part of that was the food just tasted bland. The avocado on my sandwich was Starting to brown as well. I'd come back again in 12 months or so, i couldn't make this place my habit. 5 stars for service and cleanliness!

Great service amazing food and wonderful clean sitting. This is a really nice restaurant, pretty much brand new. I ordered no bun and they made it a lattice wrap. Wonderful. A simple menu easy to order. You should give it a try. Location wise is good, a few bus stop around the area. Grocery Store next door.

Really enjoyed the Santa Cruz burger. And really enjoyed the price. So many burgers are $15 to $18 these days, this was under ten, IIRC, and it was nice and big and juicy and tasty. Despite it being around 3pm and sorta slow the jalapeno container was empty. Nice clean place, I'll go back.

Delicious, hearty dinner for only $12 per person!! We got a Portabella Charburger, Impossible Charburger, Fries & Onion Rings. The food was fresh and flavorful and the order was ready in 6 minutes! The restaurant and bathrooms are impressively clean too. Comfy seating area

I would have to say in service it's for me 7 times better than red mill burgers, habit burgers has lots of hot food, without any " you have to order online only and only credit. I got the double char and a single char drink , shake onions rings and sweet potatoes fries, plus they have tons of hot peppers to served yourself. it's only mine opinion red mill has a unique sauce, but habit has the same stuff and its hot

Placed an order online for curbside pickup but when I reached I was told the order isn’t available and cancel the order. They could not process refund in shop and I was asked to contact customer service who responded 3 days later. Not a good experience.

I had the Santa Barb. burger. 2 patties, cheese, tomato, lettuce pickle and a LARGE scoop of Avocado. Very tasty. The spicy deep fried green beans are great. My guest had a Double char with mushrooms. Equally delish!

O-H! First off, thank you for being open on New Years Day! We are watching The Rose Bowl (GO BUCKS!) at Peddler Brewing. There is no food truck and nothing is open! We ordered a char with cheese, crispy chicken sandwich, extra crispy tempura green beans, and an onion ring/fries. Everything arrived hot and the packaging was perfect for fried food. It was all crispy until the last bite. My husband added avocado to his char with cheese and he said it made it too mushy so he won’t do that again. He said the burger had great flavor. I loved my crispy chicken, but I wish I had the option on Uber Eats to add cheese to it. We are really glad we asked for extra crispy green beans because they were so good!

Customer service is friendly and always willing to help with the orders. Burgers were made fresh and tasted as such. Absolutely would return and recommend. 4 star because the meat was a bit dry on my burgers. Other then this Havit Burger was Great.

Love "The Habit" franchise of burger joints. The Silverdale location is the best in Western Washington so far in my experience. The ballard location is nice as well. Try their milkshakes for sure.

The food tasted great but later i had a pretty bad and suddenly urgent bowel movement from it. This happened to me last time I ate here as well and I figured Id give it another go. 😐 maybe its what i ordered? Maybe I have a sensitive gut? Fast-ish food is in no way ever guaranteed to not mess up someones stomach like that, its more to be somewhat expected. So ima give it 4 stars because i did enjoy the food.

The burgers are awesome, but the curbside pick-up needs work. I ordered online and was informed that I would receive a text message when my order was ready. That text message never came,though I did get the initial confirmation text immediately after ordering so I know they got my order and had my phone number. A few minutes past when I expected it to be ready I went inside the store and found my order sitting on a shelf next to the door. The Caesar salad was small but good. It's nice to see that some places are still serving sweet potato fries, and the onion rings are pretty good too.

Tried a large selection of their menu and never been disappointed. The monthly specials are a nice treat. Always had very friendly service and my order was ready in a timely manner. Great overall ambience and like the outdoor seating choice for when the weather is nice. Only complaint is the few times I placed a large take out order (five or more people) they always got something wrong. Not going to keep me from going back again and again!

I have had a burger or grilled sandwich at Habit Burger a half dozen times. The decor is standard fast food, prices are very reasonable and the counter staff is pleasant and polite. The place is clean including the restroom. They offer the usual serve yourself fountain drinks. I have never had anything that disappointed and have tried to order something different from their menu each time. The burgers are good although not up to say a Red Mill, fries are crisp not soggy. In my opinion the best things on the menu are the Santa Barbara sandwich which is big enough for two with a small appetite to share and the Ahi tuna sandwich. My only complaint is minor, they use those annoying electronic buzzers that vibrate to let you know that your food is ready for pick up.

Habit has okay burgers, pretty good fries, and great shakes. I ordered carry out. It took a long time to get a small order even though there wasn't anyone in the restaurant. They also had the garage door open when it was less than 50 degrees outside. Therefore, I froze while waiting for my food to be prepared. I ordered a charburger, a fried chicken sandwich, and a milkshake. The staff was kind but definitely not in a hurry. The facilities were very clean!

Good burgers! Bar none THE SLOWEST SERVICE EVER at a burger stand we spent 20min waiting for the cashier standing 3 feet in front of us to even say hello or even acknowledge at the register. It took another 40mins to get the food. The owner of the ballard Habit should tend to the stores staffing and preformance before the store goes out of business.

*Final update Dec 17* 5 stars OK, I normally will not have a burger more than once a week or so, but after drinking a bit too much last night, it seemed like a good idea. This time I did their bbq bacon burger and noticed I could sub for their sourdough, so I did. OMG! That was such a great fricken burger. Not just for a fast food place, but period! I will definitely make this a regular place now and just remember to sub for the sourdough every time. They toast it perfectly and it has great flavor on its own. Honestly, I would order just the toasted bread and happily enjoy it. Definitely the best way to enjoy their offerings! Update Dec. 15, 2020* so I'm changing my review to 4 stars. While I didn't try the fries again, I did try the burger. This time I just kept it to the original with cheese, no additional ketchup and mustard. The burger didn't look slapped together haphazardly like the last one, and instead looked picture perfect. The beef patty had great flavor, vegetables were fresh, just enough mayo to let you know it was there yet not so much to overwhelm. The grilled onions were perfect this time as well. Only complaint that remains is the bun. It still seems too doughy even though it was noticably toasted this time. I will say it's probably the best burger for the price, and if the bun was better I would probably come here at least once a week. My experience was interesting. The service for takeout was friendly. FYI, I ate this I'm my car only 20 ft away from the entrance and immediately after I got it. I got the half and half fries and onion rings with a basic charburger with cheese, and a strawberry limeade. I first tried the onion rings, with a side of ranch and what tasted like thousand island. They were decent, but too much batter. The fries were barely cooked enough to be done. Definitely not crispy, but good flavor. If they had been cooked longer they would have been excellent. Now, the burger. I did ask for mustard and ketchup. I realize I shouldn't have done that. WAY too much sauce. Also, my burger looked like the person who put it together didn't care how lopsided it was. The top bun and bottom bun were damn near halfway off the patty. Also, my bun was not "toasted" as expressed in the description, and some of my grilled onions were black/overcooked. I will say that is was the best tasting fast food burger I have had outside of In-N-out. Had the bun been toasted and not doughy, it would have been a home run. The limeade was ok, but wayyyyyy too sweet, though to be fair on that, I don't drink sugary drinks often, but it still seemed excessive. All in all I might try them again.

Fast casual burger joint. Burgers are made-to-order so a bit slower than fast food, but with the wait! Nice flame broil. The Santa Barbara on grilled sourdough with avo is so tasty! My companion really enjoyed his spicy chicken. Fry sauce for the the fries, peppers bar, and multiple juices and unsweetened flavored teas really round out the options for your taste buds! Super-great that they offer Brussels sprouts, sweet potato fries, and fried green beans for sides. (And salads if you’re feeling extra-healthy!) There’s even a charging station out front for your Tesla, Karen.

This place was solid. I had they're double Charburger with cheese and it was just perfect. The beverage section is nice as well. If you're looking for a nice greasy burger this is the place to go. My buddies also got the seared Ahi sandwich and the chicken burger and said they were both pretty amazing as well. This is definitely going on the list of places I want to go back to.

The wife & I were out doing doordash together, when we discovered Habit Burger! The food we delivered smelled so amazing, we had to go back & try it for ourselves. I first had a Habit burger when I was down in San Diego, and I just didn't see why In-N-Out was in high regards when I compared it to Habit. Fast forward several months later, I'm sitting in Ballard having a burger that was just as delicious as the one in San Diego. The BBQ Bacon burger with Avocado and Bacon is their best burger, in my opinion. The avocado was stacked crazy high over a bacon and cheese combo drizzled with a sweet BBQ sauce. That burger is classic, simple and tasty.

Tasty, satisfying and economical. Frankly speaking, this place is very good. Burgers aren't hard but, "the Habit" makes a perfect sized and priced burger for less than five guys ever could. There are up-scale options like Tuna, Avocado, Tempura Greenbeans and sweet potato fries, for us Millennials, and all the classic options the Gen Xer's or Boomers out there. Best of all is the price for less the $20.00 dinner for 2 is within reach which includes a side and drinks.

I was impressed, one of the better chain places. On the same tier as 5 guys, similar type of place. One place I can think of that's a bit better is Red Mill on Greenwood. Not a huge amount better and this is likely due to personal preference. If you're hungry and nearby, this is a solid choice.

I’m always amazed at how empty this place is. I used to eat at The Habit in Kent, then moved up here. This place is absolutely delicious. You can get a large double bacon cheeseburger with a drink for $11 flat after tax, and it’s miles better then a McDonald’s. It’s just good food. You will be surprised.
