Order at the register and then they call your name out to drop off your food. We ordered the featured cranberry zombie cocktail (double), and it was light and refreshing. A good lime flavor and it didn't taste like a double, which for some is a good thing. Our grilled cheese came out quickly (8 minutes). The tomato soup was definitely unique. It was more of a stew with chunks than a traditional deep red soup. It tasted good enough though, and was extra creamy. The grilled cheese was lightly toasted, we probably would like more toasting. The cheese was rather basic but had a nice pull to it. Our favorite part of the dish was actually the pickle. It had great crunch, was chilled, and had great flavor. Overall, a good place to stop while exploring the market, but there are likely better places out there. A good view of the harbor if you get a window seat.

Great little hideaway joint for breakfast or lunch in Pike Place Market with nice views over the Sound and the Great Wheel. We had the Salmon Hash & Eggs Scramble and the BBQ Salmon Sandwich, both of which were excellent.

Stopped in for an early lunch around 10:25 this morning. The servers were friendly and the restaurant had a pretty view of the water. We were handed a menu and told that any food we wanted on there was available at that time. My kids wanted the mac and cheese and the pasta. Went up to the counter and was told that they were out of both. They got pb&j sandwiches instead, and I got a bagel. It was almost 11 by the time we got our food. Not sure why it took so long for the types of food we ordered, and they weren't too busy yet. Unfortunately found a hair in my daughter's sandwich. My breakfast bagel tasted great though!

Good restaurante inside Pike Market Place, temarkable they were open on Holiday, service was nice and fast. Breakfast itself was abundant and good, ¡café latte was really good! The tables looking into the sea are comfy. They even serve alcohol beverages for breaksfaat bloody Mary and minosas so if you are on a party trip this may fit your taste😆

My favorite clam chowder in a bread bowl so far. Really taste the clams and basil. Also had a seafood alfredo and Caesar salad. Caesar salad was just okay probably wouldn't get that again.

Nice location - you have a great view of the water if there's a window table available. You order at the register, which can make it a little hard to go over the decent sized menu. Unfortunately I didn't love my breakfast sandwhich, which was essentially egg on untoasted (or barely toasted?) ciabatta. Nice little spot to stop, but there are some places in pike place I've enjoyed more

Even though it took what seemed like for ever to get our order (they were busy, so I understand)the food was delicious. I ordered the seafood Extravaganza. I do wish it had more seafood than what was in it for the price. It was more of a seafood gathering than an extravaganza. The restaurant is small and intimate. Its a little hot by the window, but the view is worth it.

Small and cozy and lots of people and that’s good and bad as I hate crowds but the crowds are a good sign the pace is ok! Well it was as we got the clam chowder and the role was great and the chowder was good they also have a red chowder I went with the white as it was the morning time!! You really can't go wrong here! Amazing views, great food, and awesome service. Highly recommended for tourists visiting Pike Place market. Make sure to get a seat by the window for the best view of the sound. There are multiple entrances in case one of them is locked when you get there, and the seating area next to the restaurant is also restaurant seating! One good vegan option, and two good vegetarian options, one of which is gluten free.

Oh my god this is the best clam chowder I ever had you have to come and try it if every year at Pike's market this is the place to eat highly recommended and the staff was pretty friendly The only reason they got a little star is they were in training and forgot to bring me something but it wasn't a big deal they were very sorry for the wait but dear God the clam chowder

Delicious breakfast with a great view. I reccomend the salmon omelets, it also has shrimp and capers in it, served with sour cream and hash Browns. The coffee is bottomless and every seat has a view.

Simple café with a great view. You order at the bar but they deliver the food to your table. The lentil soup was delicious. The salmon came with garlic steamed vegetables. I asked for it without the cilantro butter so perhaps it is cooked another way for others but this was perfect for me.

I came here for lunch with my family yesterday. The food was impressively mediocre. The fries looked like they had been sitting for days. The burgers were rehydrated frozen patties. The view is nice, but that's about it.

Solid choice for relatively quick American style breakfast in Pike Place Market. If you want more than a pastry, with nice water views, this is a good choice. They have coffee but no espresso. We had thr Triple Double, enough to share.

Spectacular view & great location in Pikes Place Market. Although you'll need to know where to look for it. And the breakfast is very good although not too inspired. I haven't tried the chowder but it looks amazing!

A busy little place in the depths of pike market. Had breakfast there and had a nice view of the water and the buildings between us and the water, but coffee was good, food was good. Touristy and busy as one can expect, not good considering.

I think their breakfast is kinda underrated. As my friends and I tried hard to find a cafe on Sunday Morning, they're just so many people everywhere. However, with its secret locations give us the opportunity to try their breakfast. We ordered Egg Benedict, View Platter, Bacon & Sausage Omelet & Joe's Specials. They all served with home fries and toasts. They all taste really good especially I'm impressed with the Egg Benedict. The Omelet was so good as well but I just wanna hope it could be a bit more raw. I ordered one Cappuccino which is really balanced, I like a balanced coffee rather than the bitter one. The view was stunning and we can saw the fog went away when we've done our breakfasts. Always wanna come back this place to have breakfast.

Sound view cafe is unique. Picture 100 business in one building all fighting for your business. Then make in the middle of it all an Oasis. Calm and nice. The staff was friendly and the sight was pleasant. The food delicious and personal. The pesto sauce was good entirely on it's own. Dipping the free bread in the sauce could be a dish on it own. Can you picture this place. Good, because that is nothing like sound view, sound view is even better

I was expecting to be wowed for fresh and delicious seafood but the experience wasn’t the best I would say it was an ok experience.. We ordered 2 different soups the clam chowder was good and the soup of the day which was a mix of variety of salmon and mostly left over seafood..As you can see ot was small portion of seafood provided my plate was filled with more pasta than seafood which was disappointing, the other seafood plate with some cajun seasoning was plain crab cake felt more additives than crab meat itself. Service was good the part we enjoyed was the view..

This place holds a special place in my heart. This was the first spot I went to on my very first visit to Pike's place and it remains a tradition for my Husband and I to go here whenever we find our self's at Pike's Place. The food is always great and the view is like no other.

I had a gap in my schedule and stopped here for a burger and a coke. The burger had a ton of delicious aoili, the fries are oven baked but still managed to be satisfying and the view is a delight. I'm here on a winter day, during the week so it's not crowded. I don't think I'd wait in a long line to eat here but I would come back, the turkey sandwich looks good.

We just had the most fantastic Salmon, scallops, Prawns Over perfect al dente pasta Alfredo and pesto sauce mixed Parmesan cheese the best I’ve ever had I highly recommend this restaurant for people that are visiting or even live here.

It was okay. Ihad some kind of rum and cranberry drink and the Hubs had a bloody mary which to me was meh. I had a caesar salad for lunch and my beloved had a hamburger and steak fries. My salad was good, but could use more of mustard, garlic and lemon juice. Hubs dish could have had more fries on his plate, other than that, looked ok. Good waterfront views.

Sounds view cafe is located in the market place. If offers and self service salad (you make your own) and then you can get sandwiches, appetizers and entrees by ordering at the cashier. They will then serve the food/drinks at your table by calling your name. Don't get scared it the place is crowded and there is a line. Line moves fast and table have a great turnover. I personally tried the soup of the day (sea soup) and the bbq salmon sandwich. I strongly suggest that samdwich. Portions are really generous, so make sure you get there when your belly is empty! :-) All the servers were really kind and friendly. Last but not the least, if you set close to the windows you have an amazing view of the bay. I will go back there for sure!

This Cafe has a nice view while you are eating with a quite good varieties on the menu. The claw chowder soup was very good and they also have the bread bowl with claw chowder inside. I also ate the Sea food Eztravaganza pasta that was made it fresh

Haven't been to Pike's place for 20 years. It was a little different. Thought I knew where to eat but the lines were two blocks long. Found a little gem with the most amazing view and the best chowder I have ever had in my entire life. The clams melted in my mouth. A little hidden and out of the way but a must stop!

Food is a little over priced for how standard it is (at least the two things we got. Probably the best tasting bloody Mary I've ever had (though they could dress it up a little more than just celery and a lonely olive). And really whatever you are overpaying in food definitely is worth the view while eating!

Great little place. Wonderful food and has a great view of the sound. They carry some craft brews as well, which is always great. I would say the only downfall of this place is that it seemed a bit small and cramped for the crowds that can arrive. The garlic aioli was great on the burger I had and also great to dip fries in if you like garlic as much as I do!

This little stop at Pikes place was good. I ordered the daily seafood soup & it was salmon & scallops gumbo. Very well made with the some spice to it. The cashier wasn't too friendly. Otherwise, great food and view. I'd say it's worth the stop if you're looking for some soup or salad instead of a huge meal at Pikes Place.

The view of the Sound and the adorable location will bring us back here for a drink occasionally, not the service we received. Our initial male server was very nice, looked into whether the burger we ordered was vegan, and even had the foresight to know we wouldn’t want cheese on our burger and suggest to have it remove before we had the chance to mention it. I am always very polite about my dietary requests and appreciate wholeheartedly when my server understands my request and isn’t belittling about it, as for some odd reason some people don’t respond well to the word “vegan”. Unfortunately our burgers came out with mayonnaise on them and, while I was away from the table, my fiancé ate his burger without hesitation because we had previously clarified our request for a vegan burger so he assumed that it was vegan mayo. I was a bit more skeptical and asked the female server who had taken over our table and was met with the aforementioned snobby attitude regarding the request for a vegan burger. Snappily, “It didn’t say ‘vegan’, it just said ‘no cheese’”. (Did she think we wrote the ticket for the kitchen? She wasn’t present for the conversation with the previous server so she had no reason to be accusatory.) She hastily took away my plate and, at my request, packaged the new burger to go. Fast forward an hour later and I am home, open my to-go burger...and it was made with mayonnaise again. :/ So, minus one star for the unnecessary rudeness and minus one star for the lack of attention to detail following the first mistake that we were extremely forgiving about, considering the blatant disrespect to a person’s dietary restriction.

This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised at the kind and efficient service, spectacular view of Puget Sound and the Great Wheel, plus enjoyable atmosphere with a good meal. I'll be back and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Just stopped in for a quick coffee after shopping at Pikes Market. They had several lunch items on the menu that sounded good, but we only had time for a drink. Next time we are in the area, we will check out the food. Almost all the tables were taken and everyone was eating. It appears that this is a favorite for many Pike Place shoppers.

This is a good place to bring guests from out of town because it has a great view and offers good and plentiful food. It is under the Pike market and after the meal you can casually wander through the market and the downtown area. This way you don't feel guilty about the good food you just ate.

The only thing to note is that if you are from out of state or from southern Washington, food in Seattle IS more expensive than the surrounding area. The food here was on par with other spots in the area!

We found the cafe by accident.... Starving, so we dropped in. The food exceeded expectation considerably. The clan chowder was one of the best I've ever had... Very good, perfect consistency, wonderful flavor. We also had the Cheese steak burger and the A-1 burger. Burger we're excellent! The fries are also very good. The view of the harbor from the cafe is really good too. I will certainly recommend the Sound View Cafe to my family and friends. Service was friendly.

Quick breakfast with a view. Nice staff and a local customer base. Kinda pricey for eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast but you are overlooking the water and they provide free postcards. I mailed two that day.

A hidden gem in the iconic Pike Place Market offering the best views of the Puget Sound. Clam chowder was the best I've ever had!! All Day Breakfast is offered as well. Highly recommend you visit this restaurant and I will definitely return to try their other options.

A great little cafe to start your day off in the seattle market/pikes place area. I got the breakfast sandwich and a tequila sunrise. The sand which was nice and warm and the ingredients seemed so fresh. The diner has a great view of the peninsula and has a “mom and pop” feel. Highly recommend!

I'll be honest, we bought some clam chowder upstairs and brought it into this restaurant to have a place to sit. We ordered drinks here because we were using one of their tables. While we were seated eating a man brought over a sample of their clam chowder here for us to try. He said since we already had chowder he at least wanted us to try his. Oh my goodness the flavor! The spices, the texture, the Chunks of clam... It was amazing. We set aside the chowder we brought in with us and repurchased the clam chowder from sound view Cafe because it was that good. Everyone was super friendly here and I felt super safe inside. Definitely come here!

Stopped to grab a quick bite here while at Pike Place. The service was quick and the clam chowder was pretty good (they serve sandwiches and have a salad bar as well). The prices are reasonable and the view isn't spectacular but it's definitely a nice touch. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the market!

About a year and a half ago when I visited Seattle I tried this place and had their seafood omlette. Been thinking about how good that omlette was ever since and had the good fortune to be able to try them again today. Seriously good food, amazing view.

Food was okay. The wait for food after ordering was way too long. I'm sure our order was forgotten because those who ordered after us had their food and left before ours arrived. Only one person out of four ordered a grilled entre everyone else had soup!The place wasn't busy and had limited menu because covid-19.

Not the best food but defiantly the best value because of the view. Years and years ago they used to serve a groundnut soup that was (obviously) unforgettable. You can still get soup here. Note to the wise: go to the bathroom at the market stalls before you go here as there is no bathroom in the restaurant.

So I had been to several restaurants and none of them apparently took Google pay I came to soundview Cafe and they did take Google pay but mine wasn't working at the time so one of the ladies working at the restaurant paid for a bowl of soup for me she suggested I get the clam chowder with the salmon soup combo and she paid for it for me I was shocked I told her I could pay she insisted that she purchased it for me and it was one of the better soups I've had in a long time I will definitely be coming back and to the waitress that helped me thank you very much

Locals and tourists both frequent this great spot for a quick bite. I recommend breakfast. As early as possible to get one of the best views. All the food is good, and pricing is reasonable.

Every once in a while I get in the mood for a good veggie burger. Dined at Sound View Cafe in Pikes place this week and omfg. Their veggie burger was delicious and hit the spot perfectly. Service was very friendly and we got a great view over the water front. My only complaint is that there are too many seats in a small establishment but if you don't mind accidentally bumping into the person behind you, then it's perfect. 10/10 will totally go here again.

Wonderfully nice wait staff. My wife and I visiting from Chicago were quite taken by their seafood soup. She had the albacore tuna sandwich, while I had BBQ salmon sandwich. Both delicious. We highly recommend this dining experience while in Seattle.

Clam chowder was delicious, but the service was lacking in personality and was a bit slow for those in our party who ordered an item that needed to be prepared. When the sandwich was delivered the fries were a bit soggy and lukewarm. Visit for the soup or salad bar, we'll go elsewhere though for sandwiches or burgers.

Two of us ate at the Sound View Cafe at Pike Place on a Monday night at sunset and were only 1 of 2 tables occupied. The view was spectacular, watching the lighted ferries motor in towards the brightly lit Ferris wheel against the sunset. We both had seafood [salmon, scallops and shrimp] sauteed in butter and capers with rice and fresh vegetables -- both the seafood and veggies fresh from vendors a few steps from our table. I'm giving it 4 stars because everyone else's food was really good. Mine (lemon chicken and shrimp) unfortunately was barely passable. The chicken was inedibly dry and small "fingers" rather than a breast. Wish I would have ordered literally anything else. The service was... Fine. Nothing remarkable. We arrived to the restaurant at 3:27 in the afternoon. Their sign said that they’d have table service after 3:30, so naturally, we waited three minutes. The employee in the front was very rude about this. They said that the table service was dependent on the day and they wouldn’t have it for a while. The owner (or who we assumed was the owner) stepped in and told us we could be waited on. The employee just mentioned had a bad attitude the whole time. Probably just a bad day, we all have them. I’m still giving this review 4 stars because.. DAMN, the food was good. I ordered the bbq salmon sandwichand was not disappointed. I would always recommend this place and is love to go back.

Wanted the burger with A1 sauce, but I don't eat meat. They happily substituted double veggie patties at no extra cost. The food tasted AMAZING, and the serving size was ample. Thought it was a little pricey at first, then my food showed up and it was totally worth it.

Stopped in to eat while showing ppl from out of town the area. Place is quaint nice view food was good was clean just a little pricey for the servings. I had salad bar and you get one trip so load up. I don't like to mix my food so that was a problem . But I wish they would of let me change out my fries for a salad and I would of got a sandwich but no can do without paying for two meals.

I stopped by Pike Place Market to grab a few things before heading back to Portland. As we were also in need of breakfast before our drive we decided to try the Sound View Café. This place is more than alright and I'd patronize this place again if I find myself hungry and in the area. The view is great and everybody in my party enjoyed their breakfast. They offer every traditional breakfast options as well as clam chowder and a salad bar. In need of a little hair of the dog? They also have bloody marys and mimosas. The prices are a pretty reasonable if you consider that you are in the middle of a huge tourist destination and have a beautiful view of the Puget Sound. I ordered the huevos rancheros because I was delighted to find that it was vegetarian friendly; so tasty! Everybody else in my group enjoyed their meals as well. I was a little jealous of the breakfast quesadilla special my friend ordered from the specials menu. If you find yourself in need of a refueling after fighting the Pike Place Market crowds, hit up the Sound View Café!

A great place for breakfast in Seattle We were visiting Pike Place Market early one morning and came across the Sound View Café. We were very lucky to find it with its lovely views over Puget Sound. We watched the large and slow boats plow across the harbour as we enjoyed our breakfast. I went for steak-hash and eggs. A steak-mince hash with eggs (over hard) and sourdough toast. The potatoes in the hash were very well cooked, somewhere between roast and sauteed potatoes with a lovely amount of peppers and onions cooked through with them. Delightful. My partner went with the Joe's Special. Which was scrambled eggs, turkey sausage and ciabatta toast. He found it very tasty. We both had orange juice and coffee with our breakfasts. We’ll visit again next time we are in Seattle.

The staff see super friendly and pay close attention to what you want, they give you the best deals, the food is VERY good and FINDING, and the cafe is cute and has a fantastic view of the water. 10/10 recommend if you are touring pikes place!

We stumbled onto the sound view while exploring the Market. Stomachs rumbling, we asked the gregarious host what he would recommend. The Salmon Hash was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying, sultry salmon chunks and roasted red potatoes mixed with red onions and gooey cheddar mixes on your palate to create an experience well worth reliving time and again. While it's a touch pricey, in my mind it's well and truly worth it.
