I had “The Burger” and found it unappetizing. Between the char of the burger, the blue cheese, and the arugula it’s a very bitter bite without anything to balance. For a $25 meal for one, I wish I’d ordered something else. The staff was friendly. Free refills on the fountain drinks. They do accept Apple Pay now (contrary to earlier reviews). The area is well kept and clean.

I had the chicken and waffle and it was bomb!!! The chicken was nice and tender with a very crispy outside. The waffle was soft and sweet and they didn’t charge extra for syrup or anything. The building was actually evacuated right before I ordered and even with that interruption they got it out to me super fast once we were allowed back in. I will say though, the fries my friend got were pretty weird. They looked and tasted kinda burnt but apparently that’s how they’re “supposed to be”?? But they looked way darker than the fries on other reviews..

We had the Fried chicken sandwich with Jalapeños aoli and the chicken and waffles. They were both excellent! If I had one critique it would be that the chicken fried dark and a little greasy. Otherwise, taste was excellent 👌

Not all that impressed, especially for the price. I ordered a kids grilled cheese and an adult's and honestly could not tell the difference even though they told me which was which before I left the counter. The pb&j was grilled, which was not an option for my son (but I didn't want to eat it either, it was completely unappealing). The menu didn't say anything about grilling it so I didn't know before getting it. They were supposed to cut the crusts off the kids sandwiches which wasn't a big deal other than I would have known which was mine. The fries were heavily seasoned. I didn't love it but it was definitely not my idea of kid friendly.

I really enjoyed the food. It was filling; something I normally fear in food courts, it had quality, and it was unique. I ordered “The Burger” and a beer, total came to about $25. Not terrible, but a little steep. Employees were nice and accommodating. All around enjoyed the experience. If I could give a 4.5 I would, but since I can’t I’d lean closer towards a 4.

Just as delicious and memorable as their standard locations. I was out for a walk during the Christmas market at the center and there was nothing better to end it with than a giant chicken sandwich. Food was great, service was fast. I wish they sold their bacon jam at the counter!

I came here on recommendation of my sister She said to get the chicken sammy or The Burger. Naturally I went with the burger. It was delicious. Like beyond delicious. The fries were great too. After buying my kids an $8 pizza next door, I felt a little sticker shocked over my $18 total, thus the 4 instead of 5 star rating.

Taryn (sp?) at the front counter was ever so kind and helpful! It can really break your day when someone in a position like hers is rude, or even unkind. Common courtesy and patience from a stranger go a long way when dealing with a grumpy toddler. You are so appreciated Taryn, thank you.

The burger was cooked wonderfully and might be one of the best burgers Ive had. Also the manager/owner/person taking the orders (I’m not even sure what his role was) was pretty close to the nicest person I’ve ever met.

The cashier was super awesome. She was helpful and answered all of our questions. The wait for food was not very long considering how busy they were. Then everything took a wrong turn. My son ordered chicken and waffles. He said there was something weird on his plate (legit looked like bacon and I thought he lost his mind because….bacon). After looking at it we realized it was a used band aid that came out of the fryer 🤮. I took his plate back to the cashier and she also thought it was bacon and looked at me like I lost my mind. I explained to her that it was a used band aid and she looked at it closer. She was very apologetic and immediately was going to start a new meal. I explained to her that all of our food would have come out of that fryer and we were not interested in eating it or having a new plate made. I am giving a 3 star only because she was awesome and did everything she could to make the situation right. Update: Elizabeth thank for your response. I understand that things happen. It was made right by your team. I am open to giving Skillet another try when I am in the area. This was not meant as a negative review (it was truly meant to highlight your awesome staff). We are visiting Seattle for the first time from Canada and we had the BEST service I have ever had at any restaurant here ! I’m not sure if he was the owner or not but he was absolutely incredible. Amazing service. 5 stars from me! The food was great too!

Chicken sandwich is top tier, as is everything else. Fries are hand cut perfection. Waffle was delicious. It's not mcdonalds. Come expecting hand made care/time, or go to an Applebees and miss out.

Ate here randomly just because of its close proximity to the Space Needle and the MoPop Museum. Was not expecting what I got....one the best and juiciest burgers I've ever had in my entire life. I cannot recommend this place enough. 100% will eat here every time I come to Seattle.

Wanted breakfast, went here based on the reviews and pictures. I was pleasantly surprised. High quality food, and they NAILED my egg. It was perfection. It seems like no one knows what over hard means anymore when I order eggs. They know what they are doing here.

"Taco bus" style food (sans the tacos), limited to a total Skillet menu but short. We tried the grilled cheese with (surprisingly sweet) bacon jam. The salad, actually, was quite yummy (unfortunately, the sandwich was just so-so). The seating area is tiny but we enjoyed the little bar, and the staff were very friendly (though only so-so attentive). Most likely, we'll only go back if it's the only place to go, oh well.

Mediocre. I know most reviews are written in anger, but here's my best impartial review. I've been to Skillet a few times now over the years, and usually get the grilled cheese or fried chicken. Tasty food with a great atmosphere. Creative dishes and made to order. But what brings me back is the service. My most recent visit was a total reversal, uptight service from some guy who looked like the owner, smaller portion sizes with the new menu layout and generally a disappointing time from what I'd expect. Mediocre service with decent food. Spend your cash here if you want, but I probably will try other places in the Armory from now on.

Bought the tomato bisque and salad. It was delicious. The kids had the classic burger and fries. My son raves about it. A little expensive for lunch, but definitely worth the experience occasionally.

The Fried Chicken Sammy was probably the best food I've ever had in Seattle! The fennel in the chicken batter elevated the sandwich to gourmet. The very generous pieces of fried chicken thighs -so flavorful and juicy - the crunchy crust did not overwhelm - I shared the chicken with a friend and still had some left over after stuffing myself. God! it was heavenly.

This is a no-frills restaurant experience where you see the open industrial kitchen and sit at counters or tables in the Center House Armory. Service is minimal but friendly, and their eco-composting-recycling efforts are laudable. I had the special, pulled pork over griddle cakes with beer syrup, and the pie in a bowl dessert. They were great, especially if you like calories. The wine was fine, but the Fresca drink stood out - mint, apple, grapefruit in a frothy icy mix. I will go again. Nice place if you're very hungry.

Ive been to the Capitol hill location and this one was underwhelming. I guess its geared towards the tourists. Ordered chicken and waffles and the chicken was barely warm. I'll stick to the Capitol hill location as I know what I'm going to get

Found this spot while waiting to ride the Space Needle. Skillet has tasty food and a full service bar. Sneak around to the bar side to get service if you don't want to wait in line.
