Reviews of Relish Burger Bistro
Karen H.
Bummed that they were out of cheese curds. Being from Wisconsin…
But we were very happy with our meals. Burger was huge.
And certainly weren’t going to leave hungry!
Duncan McKelvey
Our food was delicious, albeit expensive. Cheeseburger with fries for ~$15 and fried chicken sandwich with mozzarella for $16. The texture and breading on the fried chicken were perfect. Elizabeth S. (the waitress) was also very kind.
Cary Hamilton
Lovely food unique to the PNW. The relish burger although not pictured is my usually go to.!
Chris Huish
A little pricey but a fun hotel bar and bistro. The Mushroom Forage burger is probably the best burger I've ever had in my life. Definitely enjoy eating here while staying at the Seattle Westin.
Renuka C
Gluten free options! Offerings include tasty basic burgers to specialty signature burgers as well as salads at reasonable prices. This restaurant is located in the Westin Hotel. We sat in the atrium section filled with lots of light. Friendly and helpful waitstaff. Fast kitchen.
Alex Tran (Schimiggy)
They grind all their bed in house. Their burger selections are interesting. They also have a make your own burger section. Their drinks are good. The ice cream was very sweet and also made in house. I'll definitely come back!

Went with some friends to try this place out. It is a bit on the expensive side 15 dollars for a burger and 5 extra for a double. Since it was my first time and i was quite hungry i ordered the relish burger double... it was whole lot of food i ate it and was more than satisfied as for the flavor it was really good specially the beechers cheese it had on the burger. I also tried some totchos and a poutine my friends ordered and loved the totchos. They also make their own soda i would recommend the raspberry mint soda instead of the grapefruit rosemary since that one tasted to strong and was hard to swallow. Overall i say if you are in seattle and want to try a good burger no matter the price then this is the place for you.
Emily Kapostas
Relish is in a hotel lobby making it an interesting mix of casual and not as casual guests. The menu prices would suggest it is an upscale restaurant, but it doesn't have the feel of an upscale restaurant per se. We ordered two vegan impossible burgers costing $17 each, and these did not include a side. A cocktail here also cost $14, and it was delicious but seemed to have no alcohol in it at all. The food was good, and the burger was indeed one of the best I have had in awhile. They are very generous with the amount of toppings and I enjoyed that the most. 4 stars for the high prices and I felt skimped with the booze.

Ambience is nice and relaxing. Waiters and waitresses attentive and friendly. Our salad, soup and chicken sandwich was flavorful and well seasoned. We didnt order dessert, but they had a good variety of hand made yummy sounding selections.
jennifer davis
Nice and clean establishment. Staff are friendly and work hard. Great bar service. Drinks are great, garnishments come with every drink (good thing for the cost). Very spendy for a burger. Burger is worth the money, very, very good!! Worth the money!

We waited about 15 minutes for a table we were then seated at a table that had been empty and clean the entire time we waited. I ordered friend pickles, which were great. They were pickle spears, not the pickle chips most places do. Also had totchos I think they were called.......tater tot nachos, which were really good. The burger was good. Nothing to write home about but certainly nothing to complain about. Good place to go if you're staying in the hotel, but I wouldn't go out of the way to eat there. The staff was nice. Nothing overboard, just doing their jobs.
Jedi Master
This is one of the best burger places in all Seattle. Simple food with great flavor. Portions are perfect and the service is fantastic. We have been many times and keep coming back. Not pretentious and very good...
December 2018.. the place is ea described and the quality is there. The service is cordial and pay attention to your needs. The dishes are super well presented and very tasty. They keep doing a great job.
Margaret Nieman
Absolutely loved my salmon omelet. I can’t stop thinking how good the coffee was and would love to know where I can buy it, since I’m in Charlotte, NC. Also the waitress was great!
Nam Hoang
For a burger joint this place surpassed all our expectations. Definitely recommend the torta burger with the sweet potatoe fries. The spicy ketchup that comes with the sweet potatoe fries is to die for!
Jonathan Pendergrass
Food here was good. Second time I ate here my food was not made as ordered, but I just ate it and was pleased.
Maria Buchanan
This is located inside the Westin. The food is good, server was very sweet and helpful.
Breakfast is typical hotel breakfast food but more expensive than I thought it should be.
They do take out dinner options but it can be very limited after 6PM.
kevin nivek
Amazing by far my favorite restaurant every thing was great amazing experience can’t even describe in words how great it is, amazing waiters too
Don Yang
Huge and very tasty burgers. Pricey, especially considering that all sides appears to cost extra, but the volume of burger appears to be worth the extra cost. Staff were reasonable and the decor was alright, if only a bit dark (might need to bring a light to read the menu). Definitely a place worth going once if you are already staying at this hotel.
Scott
Very average. Grilled chicken burger was boring. The chicken tasted okay, but it wasn't seasoned. Burger bun was fresh and toasted. Fries were well done, extra crispy, as I asked. They were tasty, but the portion size was small. The salad was disappointing. The blue cheese dressing tasted like Marie's from a jar, and that's not a good thing; it had a vinegar taste. Service was fast and friendly. Conveniently located in the Westin Hotel.
Narissa B
Burgers were delicious and the cheese curds were full of flavor! The fries also came out prefect!
Joseph Zaversnik
Stopped in for lunch and had the bacon and egg burger. Burger was cooked exactly the way I wanted. Lacked a bit of seasoning but overall it was delicious. I would recommend a medium-well cook. Brioche bun was fresh and toasted nicely. Tots were ok, nothing special about them. Overall price was reasonable for a burger restaurant in Seattle.
Restaurant was clean and had a laid back atmosphere. Wait staff was attentive and food was ready in a timely manner.
Rion Scherr
The food here is tasty. I felt I got what I paid for with their portion sizes, I can easily take home half a burger for dinner or lunch the next day. One of my colleagues always subs in chicken for the patty and he swears by it.
So why only 3 stars? Their service can be a bit inattentive. In particular I get frustrated with a long wait for the bill. The poutine has also been hit or miss with my experience.
If you want a fancy burger and are in the area, you'll have a good time here. If you're looking for just somewhere to eat, you can honestly find something else in the area at this price point with good food and better service.
Bartosz Bodzon
I have been to this restaurant twice so far, year and a half apart. Food, I think got improved. Though number of options is quite limited. The Forest Burger although quite tasty, I doubt had any wild mushrooms as advertised on the menu. Location, late serving hours and close proximity to the hotels are the biggest advantages. Service always was very polite and friendly.
Chuck Reisinger
These are not the best burgers in Seattle but they are not half bad. Located off the lobby of the Westin means this place is hardly ever busy so it is great for a quick meal.
The pickle chips are decent and the portions are huge!
A decent selection of beers and mixed drinks.
Keith Woelke
Prices are unjustifiably high. They were out of impossible burgers, so I got a grilled cheese and tomato soup instead, both of which were decent. However, my coffee cost something like $5 and I never even got any refills. Service was not bad, but it also wasn't great. Service was also slow despite very few customers.
Chicago 75
Good food. Took a while to come out and did not all come out at once. Had the mac and cheese, good but very rich. My friends had burgers and they looked big and good. Most did say the buns got really soggy pretty quickly.
Nathan OBrien
We had a fantastic dinner, twice! We are staying here at the Wesitin Hotel and this has been incredibly helpful for someone with a gluten allergy. I have been able to get the Cob salad from the Grab & GO case and I love it. It's huge and completely filling. I also had the Mushroom burger and the chef cooked my fries in separate oil, without me even asking. Great place to eat!
Catherine Callahan
The service was really great and the waiter was very friendly. The meal was made from very high-quality ingredients and it definitely tasted that way. They had the best poutine I have EVER had! It was better than the poutine I had in Canada. We couldn't get enough of it. The burger was really good, too. Everything tasted so fresh. I would definitely eat the burger again, but when I go back, it's going to mainly be for the poutine because it was just THAT good. This restaurant is a real treat and it's surprisingly affordable given that it's inside a luxury hotel.
Christopher Dempewolf
A very tasty burger experience, I had the black bean burger with onion rings. The burger and all sauces were nicely flavorful, but not overwhelming. It did suffer from the classic condition of a fully loaded burger of being very messy. Both my friend and I had issues keeping all of our patties and toppings contained in the bread halfway through.
Lacey
The food was merely okay and overpriced. Burger was very salty, tomato wasn't ripe, shredded iceberg lettuce was minimal and soggy. Shoestring fries were mostly cold almost immediately and tasted hard. Since the $12 burger didn't come with a side, it made $3 fries that I didn't eat even more unpleasant. Bright side, roasted garlic aioli and grilled mushrooms were good.
Dave Spencer
The best hamburger I've had in a long time. The Seattle lager is a smooth beer too.
Sandi Gigliello
Food was fabulous. Enjoyed the server, he was very accomodating. So surprised that the line was out the door with people literally begging to get in and they closed for the night at 7:15 on a Monday. As a previous restaurant owner you need to revisit your hours!!!
Robin M
This place was better than I expected.
Their burgers were not the usual fare and were cooked to perfection. The appetizers were VERY tasty. Yes, tot-chos sound ridiculous, but when executed well they are junk food heaven. I could definitely see going here to watch a game or just hang out with friends on a weeknight.
Beer selection is decent (we are beer snobs here after all) at around 20 taps and they have some great seasonals.
Service was really good when we were there. Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. place was
Hibiscus Graphix
We ate there every night while in Seattle. Each day it was great, clean and we felt safe eating here during the virus outbreak. I always trust Westin/Sheraton staff. Recommend the bacon burger! And the apple pie with ice cream. That carmel ice cream is the best I've ever had.
Doc Muhlbaier
Friendly staff, good beer. My burger was closer to medium than medium rare, but not far enough off to send back; it tasted good. Sides cost extra, so it was a little pricey at the end.
Charlie Williamson
Last night in Seattle. We were very tired and wanted a good meal but did not want to travel far from the hotel.
We decided to stay at the hotel and eat. The burger was great. The beet salad was great. Prices were great. Excellent choice.
Ted Williams
Elisabeth was a great waitress and lunch burger was fab!!
Phil Jones
Burgers were delicious, although medium rare should not mean raw and cold for the beef patty. Luckily the rest was hot and fresh so it did not ruin the overall experience.
Kirsten Lambdin
The food and atmosphere were delightful for a hotel restaurant. I had the smoked tomato soup and my hubby had one of the burgers. We both enjoyed our meals very much.
Eric Strohl
Had breakfast. Scrambled eggs, bacon, and tator tots. Typical hotel food breakfast. Nothing special. What was special was the wait staff, very friendly and competent.
Ivan M
Meaty burgers cooked to order. Staff was accommodating, helped us get an order in 20 minutes before closing since we were staying at the hotel.
Lois Childress
The burgers here are good. It's thick and juicy. The fruits are fresh and the ambience is actually very nice and tasteful. Kudos to management. They trained their people good and know how to pamper their guests with good customer service.
Kevin Goering
While the burger to topics/bun ratio was a little not to my liking, it tasted great and the poutine fries that used duck fat gravy and cheese was super delicious! The wait staff was extremely polite and attentive.
Olga Tsvetkova
Food is exceptionally good and service was too. I had clam chowder and grilled cheese sandvich with Breeches cheese and Macrina's bread, and my daughter ordered Umami bomb burger, it was very very tasty. Our waitress Natalia was amazing. Her lively personality and smile totaly compensated lack of sun in Seattle🤗 …
Gordon Duzhou
Located in the hotel on the ground floor. I had the Relish burger and Relish tots. The price was good at around $17 and the service was amazing. I had the patty down medium rare and it was one of the best burgers I have eaten in Seattle.
Marshall Richards
I liked the concept of picking everything on your burger and trying the different combinations. Definitely an upscale downtown burger joint. No lying that it's a good burger, but expect to pay $12 for the burger and sides are extra running at $3 or $4 but good for what you get.
shari kolbo
Great menu options with some reasonably priced items and of course some of your typically priced hotel restaurant items. I had the bacon cheeseburger with smoked cheddar, no more expensive than any other sit down restaurant but the flavor, the freshness was above and beyond my expectations! Will go again even if I am not staying at the Westin!!
Love N Gratitude
Food = 5 stars
I had the divine "roasted mushroom" burger. A friend shared the sweet potato fries and crispy kalamari. I don't think I like kalamari in general and wasn't impressed with that, but the burger was "melt in your mouth, lick your fingers" delicious. The sweet potato fries were great!
Service = 3 stars
There seemed to be only one waiter in our section and he wasn't on it. He spaced out a couple of times, but bless his heart for trying. It was an event weekend and as the night progressed, the place got more and more packed. (Time of service was around 10ish.) My friend commented that the place was understaffed.
David Duncan
I felt like I got an 8 dollar burger for 12 dollars. On the other hand, the kitchen staff is in flux and sounds like the next time I go will be much better. The beer selection is great and the wait staff is friendly and courteous.
Mark O'Deady
We drove to Seattle to meet an old friend last night for a nice dinner on Lake Union. At the last minute, our friend, who was staying at the Westin downtown and had an early morning flight today, decided he would rather just eat at the hotel.
We've stayed at the Westin many times, but with so many dining options within a block or two, have never eaten at the restaurant. Much to my surprise, the Relish Burger Bistro is excellent and provides downtown diners with an unsurpassed gourmet burger option.
Our friend from Silicon Valley and I opted for the signature "Relish Burger," a high-grade, organic beef from Niman Ranch on a freshly baked bun served with Seattle's own Bleecher cheese, thick slices of locally-sourced bacon, topped with onion rings in lieu of fresh onions and all the usual trimmings. My companion ordered the Black Bean vegetarian option similarly dressed (sans bacon). Unlike the signature dish, the veggie option did not include fries, but my plate included more than enough to share.
Although it wasn't cheap, Relish Burger Bistro serves a great gourmet burger which I was able to pair with an excellent (and not inconsequentially), equally-priced glass of King Estates Pinot Noir. Although the glass of one of Oregon's best premium red wines doubled the price of my already pricey burger meal, the pairing was worth every penny.
Like any meal, good food shared with friends in a friendly atmosphere and accompanied by thoughtful, professional service made the 90 mile (180 round trip) drive from Bellingham worth the effort even if it didn't include the stunning view of Lake Union (or menu choices) we had originally planned!
Lauren Meeks
Large portions but an okay burger. Good, but nothing special.
lisa steinbach
Burgers are so huge! Sides were great. Love the design of the dining room. Staff was fast and friendly. Can't wait until we go back
Stanley Chung
Not for breakfast with only a few items on continental buffet and somewhat simplified version of a-la-carte menu. But never tried their burger so wouldn't be fair to give any lower rating.
Traci Boozer
Good burger and onion rings and service was attentive. Would definitely recommend if you in the area. I wish I had been hungrier...lots of dishes I wanted to try.
Rhonda Cornelius
Loved their burgers. They are gluten free friendly! Especially loved John!! He made our experience at the Relish Burger Bistro very memorable.
Kevin Worrell
Wow great - so much better than I would ever have expected. Natalie our server was five star! The buffet was excellent, everything prepared to perfection. Such a nice surprise.
nathan may
Great selection, friendly wait staff, order was out quick and hot, pleasurable atmosphere. Food delish. I thought its bit spendy with drinks for burger joint.
Gregory Burnett
Great food. A bit spendy for what you get. The service is solid, knowledgeable and friendly. Location in the lobby of The Westin works well for business meets. The setting is a bit too open and 'fish bowly' from the bar for the formal approach but all good in the end.
Kacy Larkin
Excellent food! Friendly staff! A little pricey, but worth it! We had breakfast, corn beef hash. Soooo good! Huge chunks of moist, corned beef. Delicious!!!!!
Brit San
Nice breakfast spot would be 5 stars but dont have much of a vegan option and they dont substitute
Chris C
Had an over nite stay in Seattle.
This was the restaurant inside hotel.prices ok. Had breakfast there.it was convenient. Personal there were snobbish. Not very many table's, mostly sit down for full meals.
Thea Sandford
Great burger, a little expensive but in the area that's to be expected. Staff were friendly.
Dylan Crosley
I had their signature burger which was delicious. Burger was large, so I wasn't upset when it didn't come with fries. Service was on the slow side.
Leeland E
I want to say that clarissa is a super nice and made my dining expierence incredibly enjoyable.
Logan Dorsey
Absolutely fantastic burgers, good service and great views of the city. The staff was very accommodating, and the food was excellent. I'll be back for sure!
Andy Wilson
Very good burger, great fries. Upscale, sophisticated decor and atmosphere make for a nice, relatively classy dinner date that still feels casual.
Lourace Couture
OK for hotel food. Pretty pricey for sit down breakfast. The breakfast burrito was nothing special for 40 bucks.
Michael Carroll
Good burger. Don’t order a second drink they charge $5 a root beer for 8oz and no refills.
Shaown Nandi
Good burgers and an easy place to stop if you are staying at the Westin Seattle. Breakfast buffet is just ok - but ala carte items are definitely good.
Frank Gibbs
A somewhat above average burger experience but good in a hangry moment
Debbie Varras
Excellent Service and Top Notch Food
Throughly enjoyed our snack here. Hamburgers are amazing....katamari and salads were great too. Highly recommend.
David Liu
The burger and bun were dry. The flavor was decent. Tasted a little bit of the sauce on the burger.
Kalyan Nistala
Great quality and tasty burgers. Onion rings, cheese tots, potato tots, cucumber mint sodas are all excellent.
Sarah G
The food was really good. I cant believe it was worth the $15, but it was. The tots are perfect. The patty was huge.
Mitchell Thompson
Only ate here once a few year's ago but glad to see they are still open! Great burgers 🔥🔥 …
Alyssa Anderson
I’ve been here a few times. The food is always amazing, but every time the service is terrible. Get checked on maybe once, and don’t see them again until it’s time to pay the bill. Every time I’ve come here it’s been like this, so unfortunately not an isolated incident.
Ashley DSouza
Got the relish burger with sweet potato fries, it was great. Also tried their wings, and fried pickles which were pretty amazing.
Desirae Quijano
Great food and nice view. A little pricey $15 for a burger and that does not include fries
Carol Westfall
Enjoyed a nice breakfast. Enough eggs for 2 people.
Lisa Chan
Provides a decent breakfast when staying in the Westin, which the restaurant is attached to. The burgers are just OK. Service is good
Kevin Lopez
The place was decent but my burger lacked seasoning and the sides cost extra. Overpriced for what you get.
Daniel Deternoz
Very good environment. Wonderful Hamburgers. Nice attention. This place has a free parking lot at the hotel
Morningstarz Enick-Price
Food is great, for a burger.... Prices are outrageously stupid for a burger. Customer service was not good. For the price you paid....
Chris Kouchalakos
Rated as one of the best burgers in Seattle by the Seattle Times readers. The burger was good but definately not super great.
richard justice
Good big burgers.
Need to update their payment system because they have to bring the card readers of to your table which makes for a few awkward minutes.
Raimund Andree
Tasty burgers and quite nice bar and seating area. The breakfast lacks some variety considering it is the only place to have breakfast at the Westin.
Pete Ereckson
Great burgers and sides.... beware the prices (high-ish for the result). Excellent service from the staff.
Amba Snakeman
Not bad. The hotel has only this restaurant for breakfast. Had waffles and would recommend to give it a shot. Hotel has terrible wifi which also affects this restaurant.
Nicholas Killeen
Food was great but offset by their terrible service. I waited 27 minutes for a waiter, and 22 more minutes for him to come take my order.
Brazilian Reviewer

Elisabeth S. was EXTREMELY kind, helpful, and bubbly! She was on top of service and was nicer than most servers we’ve had.
The Relish Burger was good and the fried pickles were too. The chicken sandwich wasn’t to die for, but otherwise the food was good!
I do wish they had a bartender available, but they didn’t have one when we went (2:00 on a Monday)
Ashkan Talaee
Great food, nice location, amazing hospitality.

(Translation) I went to Seattle for my year-end trip!! The bistro in the Westin Hotel, I had no choice but to go in because I was too hungry and late, but the atmosphere and the distance at night were good. As for the food, the combination of the burger, bread, and patty was really delicious, but I couldn't eat it in one bite^^. Mac and cheese is also a menu that children like, the taste is usually good, and the staff are friendly. disadvantage! The table is too narrow and inconvenient.
