Reviews of Red Mill Burgers
Vivian K
Red Mill has a great selection of burgers and some good sides. It can get a little pricey, and there are some burgers that are much better than others. I recommend the bacon cheeseburger, but not the red onion jam burger. I really like the interior of the restaurant!
Marco Calderon
I keep coming back here because truly, after years living around the country, I can confidently say that the double bacon deluxe with cheese is the single greatest burger I've ever had. It's perfect. High quality ingredients, large, and incredibly flavorful. There's nothing else like it. Don't sleep on the onions rings or the sparkling lemonade either - both are excellent as well.
Chris
Probably the best food I've ever had. If you've never been here you, go, won't regret it. Make sure you get Babes Onion Rings!
The food in my photo is a Verde Veg burger that comes with roasted Anaheim pepper, and Babes Onion rings and an extra side of Mill sauce. You can also substitute beef for an Impossible patty for $3.
Vincent Randy Heslop
This popular burger joint delivers on all levels. Great burgers, onion rings, shakes and fries! Quick freindly service, outdoor seating and reasonably priced. I suggest you take your burger craving here! FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world 🌎

Great spot. Can be costly, but good food. Glad I don't live close because I'd probably come here way too often.
Good place to go if you're having a day out or just swinging through Seattle.
Josh Garcia
Burger was delicious. Got the deluxe was very sizable and was able to split the fries. Got a chocolate milkshake as well. All the food was good. Would definitely recommend for a solid burger and shake joint
Barry Fitzpatrick
This hamburger place was so great, that we had to return two days later for more. And how could you ever tire of that view on a crisp, clear day? Great service, great staff, great food. Perfect.
Emma Swanson
Soooo good. The prices were really reasonable and the food was everything you could want from a burger place. In the words of my brother: “the best blue cheese burger I’ve ever had.”
Kristen Quinn
Hands down the best burger I've ever eaten. An absolute must have when in the Seattle area.
Alyssa Hubbert
As the teen popstar icon Hillary Duff once said, "Hey now, hey now, this is what dreams are made of!" I never really believed in that song until I had the Red Mill Burgers blue cheese and bacon burger. I nearly shed a tear, simply because I was so sad I'd eaten it so fast.
RUN, don't walk to get the burger of your dreams.
Adah King
OMG! One of the best burgers I have had in a long time! Fries were amazing, grilled cheese, the milkshake.. yes yes yes! And the bacon 🤤.. they don't use cheap store bought bacon, it is thick, hearty, seasoned strips cooked to perfection. Great location! Outdoor seating with a view, bar next door for a nice cold one if you want. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Super close to the zoo easy to get to. We will definitely come again.
Jason Hernandez
If you have never been to Red Mill you are missing out! It's One of the best burger joints in town! I have been coming here since I was a teenager now I bring my family. We love everything on the menu- it's always so fresh and delicious! My husband and boys love their bacon of course!
Brandy T
Had a craving for a cheeseburger and I’m so glad we stopped in here!!! Deluxe with cheese was delicious. Pretty large burger for 1/4 patty! Highly recommend the bbq / mill sauce as your fry sauce!!!!! Small space inside but still a few booths, tables and stool seats. Outside space too with heaters. Great spot in the neighborhood!
Jackson Teal
Fantastic take out burger! I had the Bacon Deluxe with Cheese and added cheddar cheese and onion jam. Probably one of the best burgers I’ve had in town. Especially from a take-out/fast-food type place. It’s especially perfect when paired up with Ridgewood Bottle & Tap next door where you can choose from a huge list of beer to go perfectly with your burger and fries. Highly recommend!
Justin Spiegelberg
Rustic, delectable, OG Seattle burgers. The double bacon cheese deluxe, fries and BLT are all really good!
They stand apart from others with quality ingredients: a little spice in the mill sauce, some real deal bacon.
Order online and ahead for takeaway if you can. They are usually busy!
JRod Petey
One of the best spots in Seattle to get a real deal burger. Be prepared to wait a bit due to the line, but the burgers are fantastic!
Robert Calkins
Was good but not above average. I got the blue cheese bacon burger. It was alright. I'd try something different next time. Cool spot thought. Was busy and obviously very popular.
Nicholas Brennan
Super good burgers, good price. Definitely would recommend. It’s busy though so set your expectations. With that said they are very efficient and quick nonetheless
mike watson
I had the bacon double deluxe burger. I'm over 50 years old and it was the best burger I've ever eaten. I've never done it but that burger was so good I thought about putting my finger in my throat to empty stomach so I can go get another one. Hand on the Bible I have never thought that about any other food I've ever eaten.
Christopher Reid
Great neighborhood. We had the fries, fried mushrooms, and two burgers. The sides were great and the burgers were solid but not amazing. It was a great place to get food and enjoy the good weather.
Matthew Cisneros
Really good burgers! They had a whole stack of bacon in the kitchen, and they make the best boysenberry milkshakes! One of the best places I’ve ever been to!
Mert Can Tatar
Extremely delicious burger with red mill sauce, try it, you won't regret it. I got boysenberry shake, they make fresh and real berries.
Edwin Planas
Great burger, meat was juicy, the lettuce, onion and tomato was fresh. The French fries was very good, the onion rings and the mushrooms fries, was amazing. The milkshake was tasty and thick. The lemonade was refreshing.
Sitting is limited and the parking too. The staff was very helpful and courteous.
Clean place, and also the they separated trash from composted materials is great.
Chris Littrell
Crazy busy, but worth the wait. The burger was good. The onion rings, fries, and mill sauce were amazing. I added a peanut butter shake and my daughter had the oreo cookie shake. Yum!!
David Thomas
A SEATTLE INSTITUTION! If you like burgers, fries, onion rings etc this is the place to try in Seattle.
It's truly a burger joint. The burgers are cooked to order, they have a lot of burgers to choose from and they have BACON. The fries are really good but the onion rings we purchased were slightly overcooked.
Make sure you take a peek at the back of the griddle when ordering. There's a stack of bacon like you've never seen before.
Theres a parking lot and limited indoor and outdoor seating. Again, it's a burger joint, old tables and chairs in an old craftsman style building on Phinney Ridge just south of the Woodland Park Zoo. (Bonus: There's a Starbucks right next door.)
Overall I give RM 4.5 stars.
Richie Magpayo
Found myself in the Woodland Park neighborhood so decided to stop by. I've been on a burger binge lately and have gone to Red Robin (Woodinville), Lunchbox (Redmond), Dicks (Edmonds), Ranch Dive In, and at home (90% organic ground beef, Franz buns, Tillamook sharp cheddar).
I'm partial to my home made burgers (of course) but if I were to pick the best from the places I've been to recently, Red Mill is way on top.
The (cheese) burger is tasty, huge and reasonably priced at $5.99. It doesn't come with fries and soda which suits me fine, but I did order the fries and those were excellent too - thick cut and piping hot.
Red Mill deserve the accolades and will now be my go to burger!
Tip:
Go when you're vey hungry. So you'll truly enjoy wolfing on the big burgers and washing it down with the milkshake ;-)
Jin Hui McDaniel
My favorite burger place! There were more fried mushrooms.. i just could not stop eating before the pictures... yummy.
Dennis parker
This is the best burger place in Washington state let alone around the country! After you eat here you will hate McDonald's and Jack in The box lol
Justin Hart
If you're in the area, red mill is always an option for a good burger. The food has always been good when we've stopped in over the years. They use good quality meat that's not greasy but never dry. Good quality bacon as well. Good quality fries that are always cooked in clean oil that never leaves off-putting flavors that old/dirty fryer oil can create.
They do offer alternative buns and patties for different dietary needs as well.
Parking can be the biggest downside so while they do have a parking lot it's not large, but it's a decent neighborhood from what I've seen. If the weather is decent I wouldn't hesitate parking on the street and hoofing it a block or three. The food is worth a bit of a walk on a nice day.
MJ W
It IS the best burger place! Always delicious! Love it! We only go to Seattle once or twice a year, this is the always-go-to place for a quick bite!
Bre Bell
Best burger in the TOWN Hands DOWN💯💯...
Red Mill Deluxe with cheese is FIRE 🔥🔥🔥...hecka cheeeesy☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ I could of ate two burgers 🤣🤣
Bryan Clark
Great burgers! The blue cheese and bacon is my favorite here. Parking and indoor seating are limited, but we'll worth getting a great burger here.
Mark Perry
Red Mill has a great selection of burgers and some great sides. It can get a little pricey (especially with a family of 6), and there are some burgers that are much better than others. Onion rings are HUGE. I recommend the bacon cheeseburger & mill sauce. I really like the interior of the restaurant! Overall really good burgers.
Mikayla Nicholson
pretty good spot for burgers and milkshakes! we went on a sunday night and it was very busy. we also got drinks from ridgewood next door. i had a classic red mill burger and it was good and my partner got a verde burger, he didn’t like it as much. said the peppers were mushy. also got a strawberry shake (yummy!) and fries.
Kevin Huang
Got the Red Mill Deluxe burger. It was a hefty burger and very tasty! Love their own Red Mill sauce. The fries are pretty good also-crunchy and have good flavors.
Flat Stanley
Great place for burgers and shakes..I got the bacon deluxe with cheese.. Tasted great, their fries and onion rings also taste great. Service was quick. Make sure to try their Mill sauce. My only complaint would be that the water is lukewarm and tastes stale and there is no ice.
Jeremy Leishman
Good local burger joint.
Gets busy for a reason.
They don't mess around with those tiny patties, they have the real deal.
Vegetarian options as well.
Melissa Galbraith (MCreativeJ)
Bacon burger was large and delicious with the bacon very peppery. Our vanilla milkshake was too thick for the straw and while delicious, hard to drink. Also was rather disappointed to find they don’t make their own ranch sauce.
BTC BULLRIDER
Red Mill Burgers are very delicious & juicy. Fresh ingredients with excellent customer service equals a very positive experience.
Ken Llamas-Figueroa
If you have never made a stop by one of their Seattle locations, than you're absolutely missing out on Washington's best burgers. The food is always outstanding. It's cooked fresh and with good seasoning. The fries are fresh as well and so delicious. They have a great variety of shakes that are perfect for summer days coming up. I would definitely recommend it and do to all of my friends. The parking lot is shared with Starbucks but it's not too difficult to find street parking near by and trust me you won't regret the decision. Couple tables outside to enjoy the fresh air as well.
Aaron Endter
One of the best burgers I've eaten in a long while. Service was fast and friendly. Great fries, shakes and onion rings as well.
Jason Amundson
Awesome little burger shack !!! Great burger good price super fast! Can't go wrong here !! Quite a few vegetarian options too !!! And impossible burgers
Tristanne Endrina
Best burger I’ve had in a LONG TIME! Also, their fries are BOMB!! 🤤🤤🤤
Alberto Aramburo
Easily the best Burger joint in the Seattle Area. The only place my wife will come to get a burger with me lol
M Proudlock
The best burger I've had in Seattle. Hands down. The always fresh, never frozen seasoned, cooked to perfection, juicy meat patties are divine. The crispy savory tasty mouth-watering bacon is superb. The fresh crisp dark green leaf lettuce and just-ripe tomatoes are a joy and are a perfect compliment to the burger. The creamy and oozing cheese offers a salty dairy sensation that my mouth craves. The bun an absolute cloud from heaven, topped with sesame seeds that holds it all together. I could not have invisioned a better burger.
Ed Fonseca
Good value for a burger at this price. Chill joint with self-serving water. Fries are seasoned slightly Cajun. The bacon is thick and crispy. Highly recommend getting bacon if it's your first time.
Lian Weiland
Neighborhood burger joint. Never had a burger here without bacon - it's kinda their thing. Burgers are a generous size and have pickle slices instead of relish which I love. If you buy sauces for fries and get your order to go, just check your bag before you leave to make sure they're in there. They're only .25 a piece but it's a bummer when you get home and you don't have them. If dining in, there's a small dining area with 5-7 booths and a couple tables and a counter-style dining space near the entry. Cute spot. Not sure the neighborhood would be the same without it.
Donald Byham
Best hamburgers in Puget Sound. Best onion rings in WA. LGBTQ friendly.
Rob Wingard
Great burgers. They are grilled and you can taste the char grilled-ness in the best way. This style is a huge taste memory, 11/10. The onion rings are absolutely awesome too. Nothing but to love here.
Brandon Ziranda
Red Mill is one of the best burger spots in town. Burgers are big and will definitely satisfy anyone. Onion rings are the right amount of crispy. The atmosphere is great for sunny days. If you have a chance this is definitely a must eat!
Jon Ross
You know, growing up in Seattle I remember thinking that Red Mill was like the end all be all of Seattle burgers, even to this day. I swung by this weekend and was really just unimpressed with them, they were pretty meh. I feel like I am committing a cardinal sin by giving Red Mill 3 stars but I really was thrown aback from the mediocrity of my burger.
I'll try and swing by again on a slower day to give it another chance in a few weeks and see if it was a fluke.
Kayla Telles
10/10 - Best burgers in Seattle! 🍔👌🏽
- this is the bacon deluxe burger with cheese …
Morice Martinez
Missed this place since I’m stuck at home and havnt made it up north much. Still just as delicious as always. Easy ordering process thru their website, and you can use a card and tip online, and the food is done quickly. I received mine a few mins before, which was welcome. Make sure you select the correct location you intend to pick up from.
Tob Raham
Insanely good burgers, and their hand cut pub style fries compliment the beer at Ridgewood next-door very well. Awesome burger spot!
Dave Bock
Solid go to Burger spot. Be sure to order on line, cuts the wait, especially now it's getting colder. Nothing incredibly fancy about the fare, done right each time!
Simone Hanson
I just moved to Seattle I’m so happy that I found a good fast food restaurant with 3 different types of vegetarian burgers! The verde veg burger was delicious, highly recommended. Fries were good and the onion rings big!
Cem Hamami
Tasty burgers, you can do take out from here and eat at the next door brewery too.
C.L. Smith
It's been a couple years since I have been to Red Mill but going this past Saturday brought my taste buds to a happy dance!!!
Sonny Subido
Wow, great burgers. Had a Verde burger, good sized patty, lettuce, 2 slices of tomato, pepper jack cheese, grilled green peppers. Great condiment balance. Great taste and conveniently share space with a beer garden. Great location and outdoor seating
Dave Hamilton
Very curious and fun staff. Chicken burger was fantastic!
Edward Craig
Excellent burgers. Robust burgers at decent and affordable prices.
Donald Long term
Delicious double bacon burger, fries and chocolate shake. What more could you ask for in a burger place that’s 5 minutes from my place? Always a great burger and love the stack of bacon!
Kenton Beldin
One of the best burger places I've eaten in Wa.
Curtis DeLong
Tasty burger but kind of boring. I wish the pepper burger had more spicy to it. Fries are on point.
karen dunn
Love this place, old favorite.!! Today Verde Burger and Coffee Milk shake and Onion Rings.
Randall Kinney
I had the Bacon Deluxe with Cheese & Fries. You have to order online for everything. The burger was expertly prepared with fresh ingredients and was very delicious. The fries were crisp and hot. Everything was bagged to protect the fries and keep them warm. They are very mindful of waste separation as well. If I lived closer, I would become a regular.
Eliot Nelson
It doesn't get much better than this when it comes to quality Seattle burgers. Red Mill has earned its status as a Greenwood institution not just for its generous and mouthwatering burgers but also their large variety of shakes and legendary onion rings. Seriously, you would be hard pressed to find better onion rings this side of the Rockies. Red Mill has always been a happy place for me and it will be for decades to come.
Kelly R
Great park with nice dogs but very dusty and hope they will replace it with turf.
Sumit Shrestha
Very tasty burgers but the onion rings were okay.
Kyle Freeman
Best bacon cheeseburger in the world! Tastes great with the Impossible burger patty too, but DON’T skip the bacon. It’s worth “cheating” for if you’re vegetarian. Onion rings are awesome. Fries are good, but honestly I’d skip the side and get a double burger if you’re hungry.
Staff is friendly and it’s awesome to sit at an outside picnic table to enjoy your meal. You must order online during the pandemic which is fine by me.
Josh Haftel
Bacon is always over cooked, impossible burger is always super salty, and the milkshakes are just so-so. Convenience and the fact that they have the impossible burger is why I keep coming back.
Johnny Stutsman
This is a Phiney Ridge staple. I don't even remember how long it has been in the neighborhood. A tasty burger, fries and onion rings. They have several other sandwiches to choose from including BLT, toasted cheese, chicken and a veggie choice. Used to seem expensive when the kids were little, but the price of everything has gone up so much, I'd say it is cheap eats.
ben enfield
Great burgers, and you can take your kids to the adjacent playground while you wait or after you eat!
Nick Stephens
This is hands down the best burger we had in the 4 weeks we were in the states!!!!! Love it.
Ahsan Farooq
One of my favorite burger in all of Seattle area. Simple juicy cheese burgers with or without bacon with their smokey sauce. Can't help but keep going back for more. The space is limited and you might have to wait on a weekend. The sitting area is old and in need of some upgrade.
Joe MacDonald
Red Mill never disappoints. Fries are always on point, burgers are always good, and the shakes are always packed with flavor. They have some benches outside for outdoor seating, with some heaters that keep the seating warm.
Taylor Wirtz
Some of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The onion rings are simply amazing.
AJ Han
Onion ring still great.. I don't know if they got bigger bun by accident or their patty got smaller.. patty was only like 2/3 size of bun.. little disappointed
Joe L
They have amazing burgers and simply the best onion rings that exist. Highly recommend!
Quantavious Heathridge
Came here with my girlfriends today. Very long line but great atmosphere. Daniyah had been in the past and absolutely loved the onion rings, I was so exited to try them. Ginger haired boy with a trucker hat at the register accidentally misgendered me but was very sweat and apologized when I let him know. My hamburger and onion rings were absolutely scrumptious so I would recommend this spot to anyone in the area.
Jeffrey Bigham
I’ve always liked this place, but it was so annoying for years because it was cash only and the lines were long. Post pandemic, they still accept online orders and credit cards, amazing.
Jared
I had the chicken Verde burger and it was great, the fries were delightful, and the Oreo shake was really good.
Guto Eames
Best burger we had on our 2 week visit from the UK
Anya Gessesse
Pros:
- the Red Mill Delux was so good
- prices are good
Cons:
- I wish the fries were saltier/seasoned more
Veronica Boe
Great food, very fast service, too! Fresh, crunchy french fries. Definitely a local favorite.
Kathy Hansen
I love this burger joint, been at this location for a long time, when my husband and I lived in downtown Seattle, use to be a place we loved to get burgers, and great onion rings as well. It was our date place to go. I'll need to visit again soon, perhaps next time I visit "Woodland Park Zoo" which is near by. 🍔🍟🐘🐒 Only wish they had a location down here on South end near Airport. I'd be going pretty often. 😉
Carlito 75
Great place. Best burger I've had in years
Gina Hicks
Great friendly people that you can tell care about what they do. And it shows in just how good their food was for our lunch.
Alex DeLeon
One of the best burger joints in the city! I'm always blown away by how consistent the quality of their food is year in and year out - their burgers taste just like they did the first time I visited 10 years ago. The prices are fair, the serving sizes are excellent, and their staff is always great. I'm a huge fan of their COVID-19 adjustments, and haven't felt at risk at all when I've stopped by to grab my order. Don't sleep on the milkshakes!! 🥤
Magdalena Herrera de Leon
Best burgers in Seattle! Love the Verde veggie and the fried mushrooms are amazing!
Karen Ward
If you're craving big juicy burgers with bacon go here they do not disappoint! The only issue is they are a little dirty in the back.
Ken
The onion rings were freakin good.
Soft buns, smoky patty, fresh vegie.
Matt Simmons
Pretty good burgers in a fun eating ambiance.
Jesseka
This is for me the best fast food burger in Seattle!
Always fresh, fast and super friendly! The lady that serves me is so sweet and attentive. I would give this place more stars if I could, and stop by every time I'm in the area! Highly recommend 😋 …
Donald Taylor
Got the Verde burger with a lemonade. My goodness.... Absolutely delicious, flavorful, with a nice sized, well cooked patty; and on a warm day it's a perfect setting to sit down and eat outside. Would recommend to any burger lovers.
Carmen Black
The best burger place in all of Washington! I️ went Here and I️ ordered (Great service btw! Luisa Bloch Garcia, Zoe troyer, and Odessa gray were all wonderful) and I️ sat Down… guess who I️ saw???? FINN WOLFHARD IN THE FLESH 🫢🫢🫢 I️ couldnt believe my eyes! If I️ could Give this place 6 stars I️ would. I️ made The entire staff cards for Easter. #biggestredmillfan ‼️
Alex Schlee
This is the best traditional (non-gourmet) burger in Seattle. Not that this places needs another positive review, that's just going to make it harder for me to get a great burger haha. I can strongly recommend the deluxe with bacon or the BBQ burger. Skip the fries and onion rings though.
Keith Gordon
Walked up at 8:50 after the Phinney beer taste. They were shutting down but accommodated us with no hassle whatsoever. Excellent burgers for a great price with friendly service, what more could you ask for?
Ashley Abreu-James
Just picked up food from this Red Mill. I want to give a huge thanks to the staff! They were very patient with me as I asked about the texture of my shake. I was worried it was melted because I was late for picking it up. The shake was not me but for a friend who just had a baby and so I wanted to make sure that the shake was still good. They took the time to hear me out and re-stir the shake.
This stressed out mom really appreciates it!
Michael Margolis
Love this place. Order ahead on toast and your food is always ready in 15 minutes. Burgers are always solid.
Pro tip - order with no bun and they’ll make it a lettuce wrap if you’re low carb, gluten free, or keto.
Xavier Lopez
Best burgers in Seattle. Love their peppercorn bacon. Their fries are hit or miss for me, but the burgers more than make up for it. The shakes are great too.
Nena Avalos
Over all, pretty great!! The fries are PERFECT! and the burgers are yummy, juuuust don't order the BLT sandwich 😮💨🥴
The bread was toasted, and the bacon was charred, so that together destroyed my lower gums with every bite. …
Jacob Matthews
This burger is by far the best that I have had in a long time. I got the double bacon cheeseburger. It tasted fresh, and delicious. The fries are great too! The Onion rings seemed a little too big but the taste was great. They also have great Chicken fingers for your little ones.
Natalie Joy
Arrived with the intention of grabbing take-away, not dining in. The process is as follows: Scan the QR code on your phone, place & pay for an online order at the website the QR code sends you to, wait for a text that your order is done (around 4pm on a Friday this took about 15 min), pick up order at the doorway. Super easy and the food was fresh and perfect!
Brian Martin
Amazing bacon cheeseburger at a great price. Love the outdoor seating. Will be back.
Lawrence Fosnick Davis
Awesome burgers! Good beef and meat alternatives. Wonderful fries, outstanding onion rings and fantastic shakes and lemonade.
Colin M.
Great service, tasty affordable burgers
Natalia De Los Rellez
Good burgers for a good value. I had a cheeseburger because I'm boring and dislike most toppings. I was full about halfway in but ate it all anyway. The onion rings are better than the fries. The fries were not crispy enough. Its definitely worth checking out. They're pretty fast considering how busy it is. I'll need to go back to try the milkshakes.
krazy 8
Well worth the drive in my opinion if you’re hungry. I’ve noticed that this restaurant was shown on tv show "Man vs. Food" and i was like "you’re on my bucket list". The experience would’ve been way better if I could have sat down and enjoyed it. (Ordered to go because of COVID restrictions) If it’s your first time, you have to try the double bacon deluxe w/ onion rings and a shake of your choosing, can’t go wrong with an Oreo milk shake.
Jeffrey Fromm
It's great. First time but won't be my last.
laura march
Their burgers are the best in Seattle by far!! I would have given them 5 stars, but I found it SuPeRRR irritating that when i got there, I was ready to order but I was told they only do online orders, soo I HAD to get on their website and place my order instead, which took me an extra 20 minutes to figure out the site and deal with internet problems. If their burgers weren't the juiciest, yummiest ever, I would have left. But as long as you know you HAVE to order ahead, there's no problems.
Sam Dox
Fantastic food! Friendly staff. One of the best burgers I've ever had! Thanks!
Kym Davis
I maintain a Google Map List of places that offer excellent Tartar Sauce.
Red Mill Burgers gets my 🏅Grand Prize🏆 for delicious Tartar Sauce. It's made in house and is unique. Their fries and burgers are pretty much the best too.
I've only eaten at the North Seattle location near Woodland Park, but I'm assuming all their Mills are producing their exquisite Tartar Sauce.
Asher Seibel
Had best burger ever at redmill phinny. Server was Jackson Simmons are super polite when I asked details about the burgers and gave me great answers. Will be coming back again soon
Nick Manos
Great burgers and shakes with fresh ingredients.
Angie Sampson
This is one of our favorite spots for a great burger. Patties are big with scrumptious brioche buns. Toppings are fresh - you can add bacon or grilled onions. We first visited this place after seeing Adam on Man-vs-Food. We were NOT DISAPPOINTED! The crew is friendly and efficient - they've done well with the re opening of restaurants. There is an on-line ordering system thru your cell phone that you can use - be patient as it's limited to a certain number of users. (It's been no longer than a 10 or 12 minute wait to order.) I recommend the Verde burger that has a slight mild heat. The mocha shake is pretty tasty, too! Onion rings are spendy, but worth it - you best be hungry as the burgers are B-I-G! Bon Appetit!
Shannon L
It’s a decent neighborhood burger. Love the great service and that both times I’ve gone it’s a solid team of ladies slinging burgers and shakes. Their fried mushrooms are delicious and it’s such a rare menu item compared to other restaurants and burger joints that it’s fun to order when you’re here. Shake Shack will always be my favorite burger, but for the price and location Red Mill is a good alternate.
Ben B
Visited this location for the first time in 2002 as a freshman at the UW. Still going back today. Juicy patties, thick cut bacon, onion rings, mill sauce, thick cut pickles, melted cheddar cheese and of course one of the best milkshakes in the Northwest. I've eaten almost every burger in the state and Red Mill bacon cheese deluxe is still one of the finest burgers you'll find!
Leo Smith
Pretty good burger. Ginger hair server at phinney location took my order and was very fast, clear and concise. Will be coming back here very often
Amany Loulou
This is my favorite burger place! Super delicious 😋 and nice outdoor seating, close to a nice park as well! …
onegreenone
Every time we are in town, we eat here at least three times. We love the burgers. What else? Well the vibe is cool too! We sit at the windows along the edge and watch the cars weave by as they go on their marry ways, obvious to what goodness they are missing. I tried their new veggie burger. Despite its $4 increase, it was amazing. I had a regular and my wife had the veggie. I could barely tell the difference. My wife even stated to get upset thinking they had not given her the right one. It was quite an experience. You have to try it!

Crowded ordering area but the line moves fast. Had the red onion jam burger and it was delicious. I mean that every part was tasty from the bun to the burger itself eveything mixed amazingly. The shales are good, average size it seems but the flavor options have some unique ones like the boysenberry or the truffle mint / chocolate mint. Onion rings are good while warm, after they cool off the crust is pretty bad. Fries are definitely good, crunchy and stiff and are good cold but better warm. All in all very pleased and prices are good.

Red Mill Burgers, Phinney Ridge, Seattle WA
Up on Phinney? Visiting the Woodland Park Zoo? What better place to either grab and go or sit down outside (no indoor dining) and enjoy your meal whilst enjoying an adult beverage from the adjoining Ridgewood Bottle & Tap! This is the older of the three current Red Mill locations with the second down in Interbay and third (Totem House) located at the Ballard Locks.
Due to Covid, the Phinney location only offers outdoor dining being a couple of undercover picnic tables, and only accepts orders (and payment) online via their site avoiding most in person contact. You pick your order up at the makeshift front door counter. But that aside, everything is pretty amazing. We ordered the Verde Chicken Burger consisting of Roasted Anaheim Peppers, Monterey Jack Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Mill Sauce on a Kaiser Bun in addition to a side of deep fried mushrooms along with a Chocolate shake, plus the Red Mill Deluxe with Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle, Red Onion, Mill Sauce, Sesame Seed Bun. These burgers are big, sloppy and delicious not to mention the fried mushrooms being the best.
The burger menu is actually rather extensive with all the possible options and combinations, not to mention both chicken and meatless protein is also available. Aside from the burgers (and fried mushrooms), there are mounds of fries or Onion rings to choose from. There are 20+ milkshake flavours to choose from plus malts if desired along with the standard soft drink array along with Ice Tea and Lemonade. The place can get busy, but the wait is minimal and well worth it. Remember all ordering is online but the site is super simple to navigate and very well done.

This was my third visit to Red Mill (I don't live in the area, but visit family). I've got to say, I'm not sure if I've just had better quality burgers recently, but I thoroughly enjoyed everything about my visit EXCEPT for the hamburger patty in the burger. As in, fries, onion rings, shake, hamburger bun, toppings all pretty great, but a better burger patty would have totally sealed the deal. They seem a bit small for the rest of the burger.
Mark Schubert
Amazing local burger place! Very decently priced for the Seattle area, especially considering the quality and quantity of what you get. The peppered bacon is also amazing and they have separate fryers for everything so good allergy people like me don't have to worry as much about cross contamination!
Jesse Hedden-Hargrave
Best burgers on the West coast hands down! Their bacon is mouth watering! I have never had a bad experience ordering from here. I am also very glad to see that they took Covid very seriously.
Diane H
The burgers are pretty tasty and bacon has good flavor. Bacon Burger's here are quite tasty. This time I just had a simple burger with lettuce and Red Mill sauce. I found the burger itself didn't have a great deal of flavor, so I added cheese, avacado and pickle. I have not yet asked where their beef comes from. Service is friendly and usually get your order in 10 to 15 minutes.
Tim Merritt
The bacon is always cooked to perfection. I've never had anything I didn't like at this place. The fresh squeezed Lemonade is super good too. Fries are pretty tasty, although it seems the to go order portions are a little smaller than other places. I didn't have a shake on my last visit, but my favorite flavor is Boysenberry. It is hand's down one of the best in the city!
Nana
Excellent grilled chicken on sourdough bread and pesto mayo. Price are very reasonable. My family loved the blue cheese burger and fries. We will be back!
John Lutz
Had lunch there for first time today and it was phenomenal! Bacon deluxe with hot fries and a boysenberry shake hit the spot! Enjoyed the meal right outside their location on the red picnic table. Thanked them on the way out.. "Thanks again, that was delicious."
Joel (Eageralto)
I really like the burgers at Red Mill. Their addition of a little heat, via their Mill Sauce, is a nice touch that I've not found replicated at any other Washington burger joint.
Their burgers, especially with bacon added, can be on the salty side. Thankfully, ketchup takes care of that nicely, so make sure to grab some if you're getting a burger to go.
The fried mushrooms were a bit disappointing, but that's not why we went. We went for "Seattle's best burger," and while I don't know that I agree that it is, we were very happy with our lunch.
Riley Milberger
Best burger I've ever had in Seattle! Fries and shakes are really good too.
Laura Lynne Ball
It's very small and very busy but worth the bit of a wait. We had the bacon blue cheese burger and the bacon deluxe. Both excellent. Their bacon is thick but also crispy (not chewy). The flavors came together in a way that makes your mouth water. The fries were ok. Definitely not the star but not bad. They are thick so they have that soft potato center.
Brandon Mayotte
I haven't found a better burger in Seattle. Thin patty, amazing bacon, solid bun. Being next door to a beer bar that allows takeout is a huge plus.
Emi N
Note: they used to be cash only but no longer! Cards are accepted!
Another note: during COVID, all orders MUST be placed online via their website and paid for online with credit card, and then picked up onsite. Also, sometimes when too many people are ordering, their website appears as if the store is closed. Don't lose heart; they close online ordering when they get overwhelmed with orders. Try ordering again in 10-15 mins or if you can't wait try their interbay or Ballard location depending what's closer to you and you may get luckier with them being open/ready to accept online orders.
I've been going to Red Mill for about 15 years. It's a favorite of mine, especially the delicious onion rings. Shakes are great, fries are very good, and the red onion jam is fantastic and a must try. Obviously their bacon is amazing as well =)
Jacob Braghini
For me, the best burger spot I've found in the greater Seattle are. We've been here so many times. I haven't ventured too far out of their sweet spot, the deluxe bacon burger. Fries are good, onion rings are huge. I've had several shake flavors and I can say they aren't the best, but they are still good. Overall, you come for the burgers.
Shaun Brennan
My favorite local burger joint. The fries are amazing, and their burgers and shakes are wonderful too. The price is middle of the road, but the value is definitely there. The place is consistently packed, so budget some time to order and eat/pickup.
Nicholas Adelizi
I love red Mill. Super great burgers. They have amazing pepper bacon, I usually go with their double bacon delux. Last time I went I try to there very day burger for the first time. it was super good, I only wish I put bacon on it. The weight can be a little long because they're so popular.
Sandra Harris
This was our first meal and our last meal while visiting Seattle. We enjoyed many good meals while visiting. This restaurant was in the neighborhood where we stayed. We enjoyed it so much the first day we went back our last day. Burgers are delicious. Portions were enough to share. Highly recommend. Go hungry.
CE Hardin
Definitely a great burger place to try in Seattle
tina valencia
Super solid burger and yummy fries! The joint is small and there is usually a wait.
Mariposa axy
These burgers use to be great idk what happend. It was still ok just disappointed. Chess didn’t taste like fresh chees, lettuce was wilted and burgers were all super mushed. It’s been awhile since I ordered here Maby this is a one off.
Dmitriy Vi
Food is amazing, no doubt - but at peak hours prepare for 10-30 min wait to place an order, and another 10-20 min wait to get the order ready - so about an hour total. Bring a podcast or a book!
Cassie Faassen
Yum! Before going here, I didn’t realize this was going to be a ‘stand-in-line and order then find a place to sit’ kind of place so I was thrown off! Either way, the burgers were delicious! The fries were delicious! The shake was delicious! The best part... was the fry dipping sauce (called something like, employee favorite sauce?) and it was all relatively inexpensive! I will be back :)
Quadrul
One of the best burger places I have ever been too, and I recommend coming here! Lots of choices to choose from that are all great! Shakes here are also very yummy!
Dan May
The best burger in Seattle bar none! Sweet shakes too! Local joint with a casual atmosphere and limited seating. There is outdoor options though and a good view on nice sunny days. Family friendly!
Rachel Llamas
Best burgers in Seattle. We've been coming here for years and love it, by far our favorite burger place! Reasonable prices and quality food. Seating can get tight during rush hours but so worth it! No far from greenlake if you take it to go and make a picnic of it!
Camai Catlin
Hole in the wall burger joint. There is enough space to wall between tables and that's it. If you have to bring a stroller there is outdoor eating available. By the time our food was ordered the line was out the door and down the street. Customers eagerly and patiently waited. The food was delicious. Their Mill-sauce? Yumm! I was so pleased to see the restaurant proudly and responsibly inform the public that they use 100% peanut oil in the deep fryer. Rumor says they cut their own fries, which were tasty. The onion rings were very good too.
Eliza Angell
Love the deluxe cheese burger & fries here! Such a great neighborhood spot. Thank you for fixing the mistake I made on my order so seamlessly tonight! (:
Don Coyner
I’m a little unclear why so many rate this place 5 stars. The burger meat is nicely cooked but the bun is always very soggy even when we eat at the restaurant so the overall quality of a burger is average at best IMHO. The fries are decent and not (surprisingly) soggy. Limited seating. Friendly service.
Sierra Waff
Pretty awesome veggie burger! (The red onion veggie burger) they have a menu of 3 separate veggie burger options as well as the rest of their burgers that you can sub a veggie burger with. Great selection. Oreo milkshake was yummy. Clean place. It’s a cute joint too.
Owen Pearson
Easily one of the best burgers in Seattle, Red Mill is a classic mainstay in North Seattle. So happy they reopened for take out this month.
Not only is the food great, but so is the service, and their setup for taking and serving orders during quarantine is fantastic.
Kick It
Sorry but the reviews here are just way too inflated. For starters, $17 plus for a burger, fries and soda is a wee bit much. Yeah, the sandwich was ok, but not $17 ok.
Second, both the burger and fries were cold when I arrived when I picked up the meal, notwithstanding the fact that I was actually 5 minutes early.
Lastly, and this is the thing that bugged me the most...constant, ongoing, passive pressure for the customer to tip.
Don't get me wrong, the employees were all friendly and nice, in spite of my cold burger, but being asked to tip (in advance) when paying online, and then being hit up with another tip basket at the pickup goes beyond annoying. If it's delivered to my home hot, then of course I'll tip, but if I gotta hoof it in myself to go get it, uhhhh no. I don't mind having a tip basket at the counter, but hinting i should tip for an online order in advance that im fetching myself is ridiculous. Don't do that anymore Red Mill!
Jin Kim (대한미인국)
Very good local burgers. I like this place as much as my Favorite Five Guys. I prefer Red Mill burgers over in-and-out or Shake Shack. I love Red Mill's onion rings too.
Luke Walter
Went on a very slow Tuesday, was with one other person. The service was fine, a little on the casual side with a person who clearly worked there on break chatting up the cashier a bit too much, but I understand that's kind of the culture at this place.
The burger was good, but not above average, what really stood out was the "crack" menu item, which is fries served with a cup of Molly Moon's ice cream. Their fries are particularly good and it came with a bucket load.
Overall a good experience but again, the burger itself wasn't particularly great, just average. I do, however, appreciate the creativity they have with some of their specials.
Doug Culver
Top burger joint in Seattle in my opinion.
They're huge, they're delicious, and they're priced really reasonably. I took some friends from out of town that asked for "the best burger we've ever had" and they said it was top 3, 9/10, and they're burger experts!
The lines can be long, but service is fast, and the food is always hot and fresh.
Roger Knopf
Very nice staff, excellent shakes, large crispy onion rings, fresh green leafy lettuce and nice tasty red tomatoes on the burger. But the burger itself was... pretty lackluster - had the look and taste of a frozen patty.
Jachelle Sologuren
Amazing taste to the burger! The fries were amazing as well. Will definitely be going back soon for a different type of burger because I doubt anything from Red Mill will taste bad 😅😋 …
Jeff Schrader
Excellent long-time burger place in Seattle. Best known for their bacon cheeseburger, and it's worth getting. I would recommend onion rings instead of for a just because their rings are that good. Warning, though: they get crowded on weekends and are closed Mondays so the best time to go and not have a wait is Tuesday through Thursday.
Marc Bell-Cruz
You can't go wrong with an order of their Bacon Deluxe burger w/ fries and a strawberry milkshake. 🤤 …
Lisa Blau-Elliott
I have been eating at Red Mill for as long as I can remember. My dad moved out of state and this is the one place he really likes to go when he comes home. Burgers are great, although, depending on who is cooking at the time, you might get an extra ingredient on your burger that wasn't supposed to be there. This place still has the old Seattle feel and I love it!
Christopher Kean
Great burger. Even better prices
Matt Perrone
Red Mill has been voted some of the best burgers in Seattle, and we all know why. Get any burger with their mill sauce and bacon - the mountain of bacon that is cooked fresh daily. Their onion rings are killer. Everything is cooked to order so it takes about 5-10 minutes per order, but it is so worth it. Sometimes the lines can get long because their food is so great, and you will spend probably less money here than at a fast food chain for better quality food.
Alyce Torrey
There burgers are delicious. Huge!! Lots of food. Milkshakes were on point as well. Only thing would have made it better would be more outside seating and later hours.
Livia Fajkusz
Very good burgers, nice atmosphere, good service. Definitely will come back again.
Vrunda
Popular joint in Phinney, I had heard a lot and decided to give it a try. Best chicken burger I have ever had in my life period. Try the Verde Chicken Burger, delicious with a unique combination of flavors. Staff is efficient and the place is warm and cozy. I can totally see why this place is so popular even on a weekday!
Lianna Johnstone
They have the best onion rings ever! They are handmade and so crunchy!
I always get their verde veggie burger! It has a roasted mild pepper on it, an amazing sauce, and then your normal fixings on a wonderful toasted bun.
Their milkshakes are thick and wonderful as well!
Their food is absolutely quality.
Liora L
Easy order, easy and safe pick up, veggie red onion jam burger looked like it came out of a magazine (I'd post a photo but I devoured it too quickly) and was delicious, fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, didn't even need ketchup. PB& banana milkshake is the bomb.
James Brossard
Hopefully they will allow indoor ordering and seating soon. Currently online ordering and pick up only. Still makes one of the best burgers in Seattle.
Rochelle May
Best burgers in town, hands down, but, because it's so good, there is usually a huge crowd in the tiny place so we don't often go. On our last trip we were pleasantly surprise they had finally upgraded their cash only system to now include cards. Perhaps we will visit more now that we no longer have to remember to bring cash!
Jas C
Red Mill is a great burger place, we are regulars here and every item is consistently delicious. My favorite is chicken verde sandwich, and the red mill deluxe burger with cheese, and onion rings! And don't forget the chocolate milkshake 😉 …
Ken Llamas
Small location but worth a wait! The food is the best I've ever had anywhere in the state for burgers. It's fresh and friendly. Parking is a bit small but even parking on the street is worth the walk. Shakes taste fresh and natural rather than a syrup style. I've been going for many many years and never ran into an issue. The accept cash and card
Dennis “burrito678” swroptr
What an amazing burger, also the redmill burger on phinny ridge, also has a new micro brew tap house. This is seriously the best combo I've ever heard. I cant wait too check. But going back too the burgers, I have too say you know a place is great when you see a tower of bacon that this place has. But the atmosphere of this place is so fun, a little busy in the summer like all day, but if schools aren't out any time during the weekday is very much an easy in and out.
Aron
Full of flavor and the fries were amazing.
Super affordable.
Jimmy Lang
Lunch with daughter and granddaughter, food was really good hamburgers, fries onion rings and shakes all pretty tasty,!!
Abe Rodriguez-jr
Delicious burgers!! I didnt care much for the onion rings but the burgers and shakes are fantastic!!! Service was fast, prices are reasonable (really good for what you get) and place was clean. My only con is that they have just a few tables, not enough for busy days and time so prepare to maybe eat outside or in the car. Nonethe less, we will definetly be back!
Caleb Hull
Red Mill is the standard to which I hold all other burger places. Nobody matches up either. Their burgers are so juicy, delicious, perfectly done, gooey, dripping, cheesy, savory, flavorful, and memorable; yes, memorable. These burgers stay with you. They'll ruin you for other burgers. Five Guys comes close but still not the same.
And the bacon.
My God.
The bacon.
They have a literal tower of it. They're known for their tower of bacon, I have a shirt with a picture of said tower on it.
Also, their shakes are amazing. Real fruit, handmade. Why aren't you having one right now? Stop second guessing yourself. Go to Red Mill. You won't regret it.
OH yeah, it's cash only. But don't worry, it's a small inconvenience to have a taste of the gods' fine dining. You're not worthy, but for a small cash offering you can dip a toe in their ambrosia.
Tarha Wiggins
One of the best hamburgers I've ever had! It's a must for each person in Washington to to try. As long as you don't mind craving these and the disappointment of all other burgers that come after it. It's totally worth it btw!
Kash Pelfrey
Best onion rings in town, really good burgers and shakes. Never had a problem with anything here, I've been eating here every once in a while here for years and will continue to do so.
b3ta Nü (B3ta)
Living in this city for 18 (and going) years, I would say I describe Red Mill as somewhere that's quintessentially Seattle. There's a lively, family friendly ambiance. This is paired with a menu which should accommodate all vegetarians and some vegans. (I have no experience with gluten free part here). I would highly recommend.
BRIAN SMITH
Great burgers!! Only thing I didn't like was having to order online. Other than that burger was good. Shake was good, and fries were good
Sean Dowling
The impossible burger with bacon was one of the most amazing things I have ever had!
Ken Llamas
This is a place I love to show everyone that I know! It's a small location and can get pretty packed but don't let that turn you away. The burgers are fresh and honestly the best I've had other than in n out. Good smoothies and fries as well. My family really loves the onion rings. Parking is a bit small but there's some street parking around without having to walk to far back. They close Sunday and Monday.
Aaron King
One of the best burgers I've had in my life!
Tim Harbert
Umm Bacon...the best bacon burger I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned with pepper on a wonderful roll. It's been five days since the burger was consumed and it still haunts the taste buds. Go and go hungry...portions are sizeable. Or take a really good friend to split. Everyone needs a good burger buddy. Seriously, life is to short to be bacon free.
Cesar Rufo
Sub-par, OK burger for the money. If you’re not used to eating real quality burgers in places like NYC or Chicago then you’ll do just fine here. Red Mills’ burgers are essentially well-done patties dressed up with peppers and slightly more interesting ingredients than those you’d find at your typical fast food chain, but it’s of similar quality so it’s essentially the same. What is up with Seattle and its inability to serve decent burgers? Best I’ve found is still Uneeda. Do yourself a favor and go there.
Elizabeth Tallman
Always come here when i come to town. Couldn't order in person, had to use the QR code which was a little clunky. Also saw our food in the window but they never called us. Food was a 5, service a 3.
Nicholas Weikel
The onion rings are out of control! Hands down the best I've ever had. The burgers are good too but I feel like they are a little over hyped. The place is extremely small so finding a place to sit is difficult. Personally I like the cozy feel but others might not. Warning: This place is cash only so credit cards need not apply.
Erica B
Good food. My husband claims its the best burger in the area. In my opinion its up there among the best in the area. I'm a tough critic though.
Jj Del Carpio (jjdelc)
Definitely make a stop. Great burgers for sure.
I tried the impossible burger here (costs extra) and was amazed by its flavor. Tastes just like real meat.
Also had the standard burger and was great. All around good burgers. Can get crowded and it's possible you don't find a seat.
Ireneo Cayabyab Jr
I haven't been back here in years since I used to live in the Greenwood area from '06-08. Huge mistake letting all this time pass without eating one of the best burgers I've ever had. My 2 daughters (12 & 3) keep raving about how good they were, weeks after our visit. The onion rings to me were just ok though. Will have to make it a must visit whenever we head to the zoo or are in the area.
Laurie Jantzer
I had been wanting to try Red Mill for over a year now and finally went. This is your typical, delicious, burger and shake place. While the selection of shakes isn't as extensive as I would like, the quality of food completely makes up for it. The burgers are robust and juicy and the shakes are thick and flavorful. I completely recommend!
Caitlyn Way
Perfect for a quick bite. I recommend the Verde burger!
Me, Myself And I
I love this place! Every time I am in the area, I try to stop by here. Their burgers are excellent, the staff are great, and their milkshake selection is delicious! I highly recommend planning a visit if you've never been or it's been a while. Do it, your belly will thank you!
Michael Tamashiro
Verde burger was top notch! No longer cash only!
Citizen Rosebud
Best burgers around. Tasty, fresh hot and cooked to order. The kids working the counter are always friendly and fast. Be prepared for a line out the door, as that's pretty common- the food is great. Grab a seat when you can (it can get crowded) or take out. Don't forget to add a milkshake because they are perfection in a cup. They just started accepting debit cards (yay) so now it's even more tempting to head over to Red Mill.
Daniel Rheaume
Delicious food but if you're ordering online make sure you check your order in the bag. Had to make a few trips to get condiments and shakes. They're not focused on QA.
kayla bee
There is no way you cannot love a red mill burger! They are delicious, served quickly, and cooked to perfection! Highly recommend!
La'la B
Where its located is a little small but nice. It gives off a neighborhood vibe which means there are people who go there regularly. The food was delicious. The onion rings are big so it makes sense for the price. Love the speciality sauce and lemonade. Everyone there were nice. Even as we were leaving they make sure we enjoyed ourselves. I would visit again.
Kris Peterson (krisp - she, her)
My go to is the Red Mill Chicken Sandwich with their delicious bacon. I am a bad judge of their burgers (I've never had one!), but their chicken sandwich is the chicken sandwich that all other chicken sandwiches are measured by.
The fries are good and hot, the tartar is very good, and their shakes are amazing!
Jacob Nelson
One of my all-time favorite burger places in Seattle. If you want to eat a 'real' burger, and by real I mean one of those flame broiled juicy homemade quality burgers. There isn't really anything bad about this place other than waiting in line for 30-40 minutes - which is understandable since this place is so popular, especially on weekends.
Definitely try their onion rings, verde burger, and double bacon cheese burger. And if you have room, toss in a shake. :)
Andrew R
Great veggie burger option and meat burgers are always good. Ordering is simple now with online only and picked up and just walked over for a beer.
Nikky Hill
I've been a loyal customer for years, I've tried most of the menu and found that my favs are the bacon deluxe and the BBQ burger. My only complaint about Red Mill is their use of pre-made hamburger patties, the burger would be infinitely better with fresh made patties.
Patrick Dugan
This was the very first burger I ever ate in Seattle. On my first trip to the city, my cousin took me here and I was blown away. The burgers are HUGE, and you will walk away feeling more than satisfied. Fries are pretty excellent as well, and depending on the time of day you stop in the service is generally pretty quick even with larger lines.
Chris Sanders
One of the premier burger places in Seattle. All the ingredients shine. Love the onion rings and deep fried mushrooms too. Wife loves the root beer shake.
Reid Kainber
Love this place, some of the best burgers in Seattle. Parking and wait times can be an issue but if the line isn't around the corner then it's worth it. All the packaging they use is biodegradable, always a plus.
Tom Turner
Yummy. Easily a top cheeseburger in Seattle, but the Verde Chicken burger is by far my favorite. This food is made with love and care to high standards and it is perfect and delicious every time our family goes.
Laura Berg
The onion rings alone are a good enough reason to come here. That's not to say the burgers and shakes aren't also delicious though. The place is often packed, so keep that in mind if you're planning on eating here.
Evan Parker
One of my favorite burgers in the Seattle area, with super tasty pepper bacon and some consistently good shakes. The only downside: it's a small place, so you may not get seated comfortably or right away.
Scott Penner
The best place to get a burger in Seattle and the surrounding area
I was waited on by Seema very sweet and kind person who help d me order and omg it was to die for onion rings awesome ou have to try it
T C
Verde burger was great as a meat and veggie burger
Bryce Caster
I think this place is overhyped. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, I finally got to the register and was told I had to wait for 2 people to pay for their to-go orders. I eventually ordered a verde burger and onion rings, but was told they were out of onion rings. 15 minutes later, the burger was finally ready. It was good. That said, I would not recommend a visit at a busier time.
John Roberts
Always good and usually pretty fast. Nice neighborhood and easy to get to after a long day at the zoo!
John Knopf
Tasty meat. Descent size. Price is reasonable for made-to-order. The "verde" on their same-named burger needed more seasoning. It was bland. The onion rings we're well done, not at all greasey, but a bit too crunchy. Good tartar.
Micah Palmaffy (Bean Analysis)
It was by far one of the best real burgers I've had in a while. I say real because Dick's burgers is absolutely awesome, but it's not filling like a real burger should be. Red Mill Burgers gets the job done with great tasting food and awesome classic tasting burgers
Alfonso Villan
Bacon deluxe, onion rings and chocolate malt are a must have in this place! (You can add diet soda to ease the guilt) I started a quest to find the best burger in Seattle, sadly I found the Red Mill on my first day and I looked no further… Is not a meat lovers burger (the pad is not very thick) but the overall burger is delicious and very addictive and the onion rings fried in 100% peanut oil are provably as unhealthy as they are delicious, but who cares???. Most of the people go for the take away, however there is a special charm about this place… Honestly, as every good Seattleite, I complain a lot about the rain, nights… but when I am away I certainly miss my Red Mill burger. They have another restaurant by the docks but somehow the taste is not the same, its good but not the same…
Drew Gomez
The best milkshake I've had in Seattle! And the burger was delicious too. Next time I'll have to try to the onion rings because they looked great... I can't wait to come back.
Harriet Moxey
The food here is fine but nothing special. The fries are ok and the burgers are more or less delicious. However, it's nothing fancy here. The decor is ok and it's a casual atmosphere. They were cash only for a long long time because I've been coming here for a while, but that has changed and they now accept credit cards and apple pay. Ok to quickly have something to eat but nothing special. The milkshakes are pretty good though.
Will Russack
Awesome old-school burger joint. If you're on a budget, a basic hamburger runs you 5 or 6$ but you can upgrade lots of different ways. Fries are also fantastic. Cool vibe inside with lots of old signs and posters.
John Tomblin
Went with two friends as a lunch trip on a zoo visit for school (sketching animals). After walking 10 or so blocks we were definitely hungry.
There was a bit of a line to order, having eaten here I'm not entirely sure why. It's good but the wait doesn't do it any favors. The wait for the food wasn't too bad though.
Ingredients seem fairly high quality and the cost is reasonable for Seattle. Seating isn't great but there is some. I'd say keep an eye out for a booth while waiting. If there isn't a wait when you go seating will probably be fine.
The food was pretty good, quarter pound burgers aren't my favorite but these were far better than the fast food variety. The fries are good and the shakes I'm told are also fairly good. I can vouch for the fresh squeezed lemonade as being nicely balanced (between sweet and tart of course) although maybe a little heavy on the ice. Their "Mill Sauce" is really good but since it's basically house-made mayo my friends declined to try it. I hate jar mayo but this is basically nothing like it, it was creamy and smokey. Though I didn't get it on a burger, I had it on the side and ate fries with it.
This is important THEY ONLY ACCEPT CHECKS AND CASH. Not a problem for me as I always make sure to carry cash on me but I ended up paying for my friends because neither had any cash on them.
Overall I think next time we'll try some other places in the area but this was still a good lunch. I might come back some time. This seems like your usual "local favorite" kind of place. Good but maybe a little over hyped though I think everyone has a few places like that.
Sandra Smith
The Red Mill serves excellent shakes, outstanding onion rings, and very good burgers- the mill sauce is delicious. It has a nice atmosphere, clean bathrooms, and outdoor seating. They accept credit cards now, too. Highly recommended.
Pin S
Friendly and fast service. Parking is limited here. They now take cards. Not just cash anymore. Burgers as great here, fresh. Great burgers in Seattle. Limited seating. Have patience because lines do get long here.
Daniel Gleason
My favorite burger place in Seattle. I especially love their chicken verde burger and onion rings. Their ice cream shakes are also very good with many flavor options.
kevin tsui
Excellent boutique burgers with wonderful neighborhood charm, Red Mill Burgers is one of my favorite burger joints in Seattle. Its offerings of quality beef, stacks (literally) of bacon, excellent secret sauce and red onion jam always leave me wanting more. The Phinney Ridge location is my favorite by far for its neighborhood feel and proximity to a lovely area which includes the Woodland Park Zoo. For all burger lovers, you must make a trip to Red Mill if you're in the Seattle Area.

I'm writing this review 3 years after coming here but jesus after all this time this place still has the best burger I've ever had in my life. This is a place I will always find myself if I'm in the Seattle area. I recommend this to literally everyone. You will not be disappointed
Atari Betamax
Messy, delicious burgers. Good fries. I like their blue cheese and bacon burger. Usually not too much of a line, if there is, it's worth it to wait. Usually friendly folks behind the counter.
Jason Hardman
Love this place so much! Best burger I have ever had hands down. Wish I lived closer!
Yen Duong
Cash only. Get any burger with bacon because it is very crisp. Even though the burger may look big, it is because they stuff it with romaine lettuce so don't be afraid. Love the milkshakes here as well.
Ali Bessee
Red Mill is truly a great burger experience. I've been a long time fan of Red Mill and the burgers, shakes and onion rings are the perfect hangover cure/burger fix.
The last few times I've been to Red Mill, I've been slightly disappointed with lack of consistency and how packed full of noisy kids/families it was. Clearly this is not Red Mills' fault, however, I find it slightly distracting to be enjoying a meal when their are screaming children running around. When it came to the food, the last time I went I ordered the Chicken Club Burger, which is usually a great burger if you are not in the mood for red meat. I was disappointed to find that they changed the burger vehicle from a lovely kaiser bun to sourdough bread, making the burger soggy and lacking in flavor. For a place I love so much, the inconsistency and overall ambiance of screaming kids has been a turnoff as of late.
THAT BEING SAID: What keeps me coming back to Red Mill, though, is the mill sauce, the onion rings and that bacon (the bacon that they literally put in a giant stack next to the grill). Unlike other "special" (non-special) sauces that many burger joints have these days, mill sauce stands out from the pack with a hint of spice. The onion rings are a thing of beauty: perfectly crunchy, never greasy and full of great flavor from the cornmeal batter.
Lastly, the bacon. I'm somewhat of a bacon snob because while bacon is bacon and, yes, it is (most) always scrumptious, there is something to be said about good bacon. Thick, peppery, salty, smoky and perfectly cooked - crispy yet still chewy, never soggy/floppy. Red Mill has said bacon. Which is why it would be a sin to go to Red Mill and not order a burger/chicken burger without bacon.
The Bleu Cheese n' Bacon Burger is my go-to because I'm a sucker for a bleu cheese burger with bacon. This one's perfect. I love their burgers because they are juicy and sinful, as burgers should be, but never greasy. They remain fresh with the healthy stack of fresh vegetables. They also serve their burgers on a great Kaiser bun. I recommend ordering a chocolate malt to take your burger experience even more over the edge.
Toni Gilbert
A friend of mine visited Seattle and he asked me where my favorite burger place was. I wasnt equipped to answer him at the time. I knew I hadn't found one yet. He'll be here in a few weeks and I'm ready now. Red Mill Burgers. Damn I love dey burgers!! Make sure to check out the bacon tower, it's on the grill! Juicy burgers. The fries are crispy and lots are nice and square (🙃). Yummm!
Husky Huey
Great burger, onion rings were okay. Pickup times on website are not accurate, it said 15-20 minutes but was ready in 5 so my food was cold.
Ian Lurie
If you're craving a fantastic burger don't disappoint your taste buds by going to a fast food chain. Red Mill burgers has some of the best burger choices in the city (and maybe beyond!). This is the place to go if you're craving an amazing hamburger. And it likely sports the best burgers in the entire city of Seattle.
Renganathan Ramamoorthy
I am a vegetarian and hands down these guys make the best vegetarian burger I've had in all of USA.
Their verde veg burger is a treat for those with a penchant for some mild heat in their burgers. The addition of the seared pepper along with their classic red mill sauce is a combination that is unparalleled. Of course, argue with me and you need to provide a better veggie burger place that I should try.
Cash and cheque only across all locations and I really wish they would accept some newer modes of payment. It is a small place usually with long lines during peak lunch and dinner times.
But despite all these drawbacks, it is a place worth visiting if you are in Seattle. And you wouldn't regret it!
Heidi Chaffee
Get the boysenberry shake. Don't think twice, just do it.
Literally the best.
Greyson Skeen
Best burger on Greenwood imho. Great service, staff is very patient and polite when dealing with elaborate special orders. I can't reccomend Red Mill on Greenwood highly enough.
Penjor Ngudup
Really good. I was gonna mark it 5 stars but I don't know why I hesitated. Maybe I feel like its just short of brilliant, but maybe thats what makes their burgers so good. Its a small place so space might be limited.
Its simple, but just tastes so pure. Nothing fancy just really good burgers.
sarah grossman
Still one of the best burgers in Seattle! This was my go to place 20 years ago when I lived in Seattle. Visiting from out of town finds the hood looking different, but great burgers, fries and shakes.
Jeff Logan
With how long the line is to get in you know this place is good. From the freshness of their burgers, to the unique shake flavors (boysenberry) it is hard to beat Red Mill. A must stop if you are a tourist or a weekly visit if you are a local. The verde Burger is a must!!!
Julia Trimarco
My favorite veggie burger in Seattle (they have several options), and lots of choice of sides and drinks. Fast service, not much seating available on site.
Tess Milligan
Best burger in Seattle - hands down! What I like most about Red Mill is that they don't try to make crazy complicated burgers with tons of options, they just do standard burgers really, really well. The onion rings and shakes are nice additions if you really want to spend some calories!
Nathan Porter
Always solid if craving burgers in Seattle. Service is friendly, fries are great, and the shakes and burgers are a go-to.
Itzel&Chanel
Very good, but never receive food hot, even if picked up right away. It is barely warm by consumption time
Britt Davis
Always reliably good. The burger patty is OK, but with these guys the magic happens with the bacon. Get the bacon cheeseburger deluxe and you can't go wrong.
Century
We went to Red Mill Burgers based off of word of mouth. It was well worth the trip. The burgers and fries were a little on the spendy side, but they were worth the price. The menu had a decent variety and managed to get us to think about our options quite a bit.
Zahed Patel
The most amazing double patty deluxe burger ever :D
Jeremy Milo
Red Mill is a family favorite spot for burgers in Seattle. Their burgers are sooooo good! I highly recommend the blue cheese and bacon burger. The seating area at Red Mill is kind of small, so you might have to stand in line a while to get a table, but it's definitely worth the wait!
Greg Buccino
Simply the best burger in King County. .even with all the newer places such as Lunchbox, Tipsy, etc. Actually the best 2 burgers in my opinion. #1 is the bacon deluxe, #2 is the green chili
Trishann Couvillion
I have to say I like greasy diner food sometimes, but I do honestly feel Red Mill is a bit overrated. There is usually a Very long wait to order food in line and then the food just has a sort of heaviness to it that isn't all that worth the time and expense. I have only tried one or two different burgers there and I'll give them at least one more shot before deciding on whether I would continue to eat there or not.
Sheena P
We were having some serious red mill withdraws during the shut down for Covid but they are back open and with the perks of a new bar/bottleshop next door. My go to is the impossible burger option paired with their Verde burger style. Paired with a sour beer, cider, or frosé slushies from next door- YES please!
Chads Property
I had the verde burger and it was soooo amazing, the bun did get a little soggy but overall it was super yummy. Hubby had the bleu cheese and bacon burger and said he wishes the actual burger was better but it was still pretty good. We also got onion rings and fries and they were both out of this world!!!
Jacqueline Choi
Tasty milkshakes, great burgers, long lineup
Dominicke McCord
I've been hearing about this place for years. I finally had a chance to visit about a week ago. The burgers were definitely good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.
karmaneckwe
All the usual burger combinations with fries or preferably onion rings. If you haven’t tried an Impossible burger this is the place to experience it in all it’s glory. May become a favorite vegetarian hangout. Also next to the Phinney Ridge farmers market.
Portal Master
My favorite burger joint! Get the Double Redmill Deluxe! If calories isn't a big deal get the onion rings with the tartar sauce...it's breaded to perfection. Lastly their soda here is less carbonated but it's soo refreshing.
Parahat Akyshov
Brugers are delicious, staff are freidnly, vibe is decent, around lunch and dinner time crazy line need to wait at least 35-45 minutes fr ordering to get your food to your table! Regardless of wait time I suggest to try it at least once! Above average with the quality of food but the business service it self is somewhere average or even lower for instance the way they offer the water is very old school or low quality with plastic bucket tap water. I understand tap water is ok and drinkable in Seattle but what is the plastic bucket they definitely spend a little bit money and come up with a better water serve system or merhod!
Elizabeth Garcia-Smith
One of the best burgers 🍔I have tasted. The bacon 🥓 was amazing! Delicious 😋! …
Jefe Birkner
Generally positive experience, I like to call in my order to avoid the line. I like all of the choices and toppings, and especially the fries. They will cook your burger "to-order" if you want it rare, or something, but the patties themselves are kind of thin, so there is no real way to have it cooked on the outside, and really pink on the inside.
They're staff got a little under my skin tonight, when they gave us the wrong bag at the pick-up counter from our phone order, when we returned it, we were given burgers that had, by then, been sitting WAY too long, and fries that lost all the best of their fresh cooked, hot charm, AND said "Here is the right food, in exchange for the one YOU TOOK BY MISTAKE". Dude, it wasn't MY mistake, you gave me the wrong bag of food, and you'll earn more credit for apologizing for giving me the wrong order, than telling me I "took the wrong one by mistake". That doesn't make me feel good, or make you look good.
This is only one bad experience in many, many positive ones, however.
chris johnson
Great Saturday afternoon lunch. I have heard they have great burgers and are always super busy. Well, the burgers lived up to the reputation but we got lucky and didn't have to wait to order or find a table. Staff was great.
Cameron Lowell
Home of some of the best burgers in Seattle. A little out of the way unless you live in Greenwood but it's worth the trek if you're in the mood for a good burger. Location is pretty quiet.
JIAHAO CUI
The food was fantastic but the experience was not that good. They open at 12pm Sunday and did not accept order on website before that time. When I arrived after 12, they said they only accept online order and I have to scan the barcode and order right on their windows. I ended up waiting for more than 25mins during Sunday lunch time. Cannot even find a seating place to wait.
Maan Shawly
This place is really good, the service was really good and they were really friendly with us ,I like this place so much.
Micah Fazio
Certainly another of the "Must try" burger places in the city! Why we held out so long before taking the plunge on this one is beyond me, but they are top notch on our PNW burger list and one of our personal favorites!
Dustin Zark
Great shakes. Delicious burgers. Best fry sauce in the galaxy, and the carmelized red onions! If you are going to be in the Seattle area, you must try a red mill burger.
Brock Melvin
Their burgers are amazing and fresh!! You really get what you pay for at this burger place and there is quite a few choices for burgers and sides and what makes it better is your just a couple minutes from green lake trail a must try.
Rebecca Riley
Small place crowded but really good cheese bacon burgers.
Miller Moose
Best burgers me and my girlfriend have EVER have! Good fries, great shakes. Phenomenal!
Ginger Corp
Ordered online was in and out in minutes
Everyone was great
Nina G
Red Mill is not going to be some slow-food, gourmet dream. But neither is it some skinny, fat-dripping McBurger that you regret ordering once you see it in the full light of day. I always say it's just the right amount of guilty pleasure, same with their onion rings and fries. Oh and their lemon chiffon shake, which, last I checked, is not on the menu at all of their locations, but they will fix it for you if you ask. Service is always fast (mind, not McDonalds fast, but that's not why I go there) and friendly as well. I moved out Washington last year and I get cravings for Red Mill so hard it's sending shock waves across the United States. This is getting to be a problem as I have found no appropriate substitute to fill this yearning in my heart/stomach.
Andrew D
Burger was soggy and the meat had a funny processed flavor to it. It did have flavorful and a good amount of bacon on it Definitely not the best burger I have ever had though. My fries were cold.
Garrett Landry
Absolutely love this place. I take all my friends here if they have never been. Their mill sauce is to die for. I recommend the bacon deluxe with cheese. It is well worth the money you will spend! Don't let the small parking lot stop you from going.
Joe Skokan
Food is good, slightly above average, but cash only is something I'd pay to eliminate. Fortunately there are many more choices in 2016. Additionally, too many times I felt like an outsider, not part of the Red Mill club, when purchasing, which makes me feel like my money isn't worth earning.
Felix Reyes
Pretty good burger place. Great Mill sauce and service was great too. Only downside is that the dining area is kind of small. We'll be back.
Madison and Jeanette Loistl-Grava
Best burger and fries all year! Beers next door and outdoor seating, what can we say!
SMOKEHOUSE SYNDICATE Seattle
Haven't been here in 8 years and I must admit it's still the bomb dot com! Those red onions on the burgers just takes that beef to another level!!!! Yassssssss!
Amber serrano
Wow!! Best west coast burger I have found so far and been to many places! Seriously probably better than in and out burger. Very tasty. If theres a wait, its worth it!
Great Finds
I got fries and a double bacon cheeseburger. They were both outstanding. My friends got shakes and were very impressed. I highly recommend this place
Macsen W.
Love their bleu cheese burger
Ana
Another great burger place in Seattle! My favorite spot is the ballard location as it offers outdoor seating! Their milkshakes are deliciously amazing so be sure to order a shake with any of their burgers.
Carl D.
Must still use app to order on line. Parking on site but very limited.
All the effort is worth it!
Delicious burgers, fries, onion rings and milkshakes.
Peter King
Best burger you can get outside of jumping in to the next tier like Bateau, Quinns, Gainsbourg, etc. Competes with a lot of more expensive burgers across the city. GET ONION RINGS. Best I've ever had.
cece bryant
1st time here, Had the Red Mill Deluxe- amazing!!
Kat V.
One of my favorite burger places in Seattle! There's usually a line out the door but it's totally worth the wait. Whatever you do, always add bacon.
B M
They are pretty good burgers. Not the best burger in town, but a very good price point. Sure you can get a better burger at a pub, but it cost twice as much. These are very good burgers for $6 or $7.
Mike AndGenevieve
Delicious burgers, fries, onion rings, and shakes 😊 …
Andrew Lee
Burgers that are just Yummy. The reason why it's amazing, is the fresh vegetables; thick bacon, and tasty beef.. with a bit of their special mayo "red mill sauce". Get the deluxe, and you will be rewarded with pure enjoyment.
Vanu Rao
This place is a great burger option. It's relatively cheap compared to any of the other burger options around, and it's still really good. The burgers are pretty big and the shakes are good too.
Craig Phillips
Great burgers, great shake, great onion rings. Red Mill keeps it simple, just burgers and fries and things along those lines. If that's what you're looking for you won't find a better place anywhere in the neighborhood.
Christina Wagar
Got the bacon double. So incredibly good!!! The bacon is like a thick juicy slice of heaven! You also have got to try the onion rings!!! It was totally worth the 30 minute drive!
Furqan Ali
Best burgers and fries in Seattle!
Aaron Sturm
A tasty and large burger for an excellent price. I also enjoyed the creamsicle shake. The only downside is they don't have sweat potato fries.
Aaron King
First place we went to when we arrived in town! Never disappoints.
Colin Christianson
Great burgers! Definitely a place to try out especially if you're a bacon lover. When I need a great burger this is the place to go over places like Dick's, McDonald's, Burger King or other fast food places.
Victoria Ulm
Red Mill Burgers is the best burger place that I have ever been to. Hands down. I go there if I'm ever upset or if I want a celebratory burger, fries, and shake. Everything is so delicious
Kristian Davidsen
Fries are some of the best I have had. Shake was delicious but too icy to drink the first 15 min. The burger was nothing special unfortunately.
Kate Duran
SO GOOD. You won’t regret!!!
Scarlett Jiang
Great! Saw this store for so many time but never worked in. Finally tried recently~
Lars Peter Hegenberg
Best Burgers and onion rings ever.
During our holidays in summer we had a lot of burgers in Oregon and Washington State. The best ones are at Red Mill Burgers.
Many greetings from good old Germany!
Ricky Hester
I had the Verde burger and it was one of the best I have ever had. I can say confidently that the fried mushrooms were the best ever as well. Service was great, loved this place.
Mark Qi
Deliciously large burgers at a great price. Fries are great too!
Michelle Mc
Always a pleasure to visit Red Mill!!!! Experienced staff, friendly and helpful especially with the Covid procedures. Best chicken, bacon, blue cheese, burger EVER!!!!
Kelsey Poeggel
Very good! Not a fan of leaf lettuce though. Would have been even better with iceberg lettuce. Very friendly customer service. Fries were nice and crispy!
shane Schroeder
Absolutely great burgers. The fried mushrooms are great as well. It could have been a bit cleaner, but it wasn't bad enough to keep me away.
Naomi Ishikawa
There's a lot of really good burger joints around the Seattle area, but the Verde Burger keeps me coming back to Red Mill. I've lucked out every time I've gone, in finding a place to sit, but I wouldn't ever bet on it. Still worth it when I'm in the area.
Jess Simpson
Red Mill is amazing, and I love their huge pile of bacon. Shakes can't be beat. If you want quality burgers hit one of their locations, but my favorite is the one at interbay.
Chiemi ChiAmy206
I love their Verde Burger! They have beef, chicken, vegetarian options. Boysenberry shake is pretty good. Great comfort food!
Tierney Nelson
One of my favorite burger places in Seattle
Mr L
Burgers so good you'll smack your mama. No really. Best burgers I've had ever. Place is always packed. Be prepared to eat in your car
Martha Brown
Hands down to one of my favorite burger joints. Their burgers are really amazing! Matching their burgers with onion rings are the perfect way to go. Yum Yum!
Paul Stout
Best burger in Seattle! Just be ready to pay in cash, no credit cards accepted. Very old school, maybe why their burgers are so good 😉 …
Yvette Charles
My burger was great I just wish they were closer to where I live.
Rachel Rutledge
One of the best burger joints in Seattle. The "pile o' bacon" has to be seen (and eaten!) The bacon cheeseburger is de rigueur, and the onion rings are always crispy and cornmeal-battered perfectly. Try the Mill Sauce for dipping. Shakes are excellent, too - my fave is the truffle mint, but if you want something lighter, go for the "Jimi Hendrix" - half lemonade, half iced tea.
H
Double bacon burger deluxe - great! The onion rings were the best I've ever had. The mushrooms were fantastic as well.
Will
These are some great burgers!
Jess Tupper
This is a guilty pleasure.
I've been coming here for years. You come here for the burgers, the grease, and the shakes. It's not Dick's, and it's not high end, but it's a little bit of grease heaven when you actually want a burger that tastes like a burger but don't want to spend $15.
That being said, it gets insanely busy on the weekends and in the summer.
S. Soares
Really good, basic burgers. Real bacon - not that gross microwave bacon stuff. Very generous servings of fries.
Frannie B.
FAVORITE BURGER PLACE! Maybe because I'm from Seattle - but I love the bacon deluxe with cheese with caramelized onions. Fries, onion rings, and milkshakes are a good choice too.
Blake Townsend
I've eaten there twice. The burger with peppers on it is pretty good. I deduct one star for over pricing. Not the best burger in town for me and costs more than the ones that are better.
Javier Beltran
Platonic burgers. Chonky steak cut fries. Defs a spot to try again.
Alexey Mightle
I love ❤️ their burgers 🍔 also, it is very convenient that there is a pub next door! …
Jacob London
Easily the best burgers in Seattle. The spices in the fried mushrooms and onion rings are special. You're missing out if you're not going here.
Matthew Zavislak
Yum! Good shake options and always a great veggie burger. Love em!!
Cheri Lozada
I am not from Seattle and got recommendation to go. Wow did not disappoint. Burgers were best I had in a while and fries too.
Jack Oakley
My all-time favorite burger shop. Nothing really fancy, just fresh, quality ingredients. The lettuce is green and the tomatoes are red.
Raine Bergstrom
We have relatives who visit and have red mill on their list of must haves. The veggie Verde is awesome and they'll warn you if the peppers are exceptionally hot this time of year.
David Coe
It's just such a good burger place. I love the millbq sauce for my fries. It's just red mills sauce with some spicy BBQ, but it is worth paying a but extra.
Allison Znachko
Fast service and so tasty! Loved their fatty onion rings too! Liked eating outside on picnic table.
JJ
AMAZING been driving by for many years ... First time there quaint little local place with limited seating go early if you want a seat ... Had the best bacon blue cheese anaheim pepper burger I have ever had ... Some of it was substition and addition ... A burger my way without them saying no ... Fries were fresh n hot the way fries should be and the staff was amazingly friendly helpful fast and efficient plus cleaning tables regularly ... Food made quickly ... Will be back again and again only sorry I never stopped there sooner over the years ... Thank you Red Mill
Assaf Leibowitz
Best seattle burgers by far
Noah Sleiman
Bang for your buck, huuuuge burgers around the 6-9 dollar mark. The impossible substitution option is also fantastic, I'm not vegetarian and I sometimes get it just because
Jason Frey
Great burgers and shakes! Onion rings are bomb too. They did mess up our order pretty bad, I would give it 5 stars otherwise.
Becky Shanahan
Extremely friendly staff and excellent buggers. Best plain cheeseburger and blue cheese burger I've ever had. Excellent place for a quality wallet friendly burger
Karen Valenti
Best burger in the city. Great staff. Extremely friendly. I have recommended the place to many people. Love it love it love it.
Ramesh Nagarajan
My favorite burger place in Seattle. The onion rings are awesome, the shakes are extra thick and the veggie burger options are super tasty.
Benjamin Meoz
Onion rings from heaven. And now they take credit card. Shakes are also quite good. We always go for the chicken Verde burger, and it never disappoints.
Janice Behrens
I was hesitant at first due to the long lines and they do not accept credit cards, but they proved the wait was worth is after the first bite. The staff is very friendly, the food is amazing, and the price was right. The milkshakes were to die for!
Marina Boleda Taylor
My favorite cheeseburger.
Peter Noort
The best burgers I have ever had. Delicious. The only drawback of this place is that they don't take credit cards, just a minor inconvenience.
Keith Gormezano
Tasty filling burgers and a visit to Seattle isn't official unless you get their Verde Beef Burger with plenty of lettuce, tomato, and onion. They now take credit cards.
Sasa Vukovic
Surprised this place is so popular. The red mill deluxe is solid but nothing special. The veggie verde was flavorless with mushy peppers.
Darrick Kinney
Always hot and delicious, the service is good and the new no contact ordering/payment is fairly easy to use for placing your order.
Shinowa Abeyta
Amazing burgers!! Bomb fries!! Definitely recommend and will definitely be going back!!!
Ben Kesseler
They've improved over time. The wait is still really long, but the food seems more tasty now. Definitely plan ahead or you're going to be waiting a while.
Aaron B
Good burger and it's an institution. There's a little left to be desired on quality and execution, but if you need a burger this will do.
Lona Harp
The best burger. I have tried both meet and veggie and they are both good.
sohel khan
I had a Red mill double delux with cheese today. Man, it’s awesome !!!!! Best burger I ever had. I was full but my heart was wanting more.
Jamison Johnson
One of the best burgers I've eaten. Try also their Mill sauce. Bring checks or cash. They are old school.
Erik Mannery
Parking can be tricky but we found a spot. Service was fast and the lady taking orders was nice. We were even able to find a seat which can be very difficult. Food was great and milkshake was awesome!
Jana McQ.
Absolutely fantastic double cheeseburger! Loved the fresh fries with skin-on. 😁❤️ …
V Carson
They were busy, but quick and efficient. And I was able to order a custom burger and they were great about it. Courteous staff. Great burger.
Steven Thurgood
Inconvenient location, cash only, tiny inside, no seats, long queues, but absolutely fantastic burgers (if you prefer the fast-food style of burger, rather than the gourmet style) that make it worth the visit.
No1PinkyToe
The staff always do a great job! I love the verde burger with double paddy and their onion rings are so uniquely delicious.
AURICOM
Its in the middle. Not very good as take out because they pack the burgers like disc's in a tray so the juices make one side all soggy.
Craig Lewis
Got a bit overwhelmed by orders, but a good burger spot if you're willing to wait.
Byron Swalm
Best burger in Seattle. The onion rings are great too. The lines can be insane, try and hit this at some time that is not weekday lunch.
Michael Law
Great burger 🍔 and fries 🍟! Just wished we could eat indoors. …
I C
Got Verde burger on Kaiser bun. It was great! Not fan of their onion rings, but burgers are great.
Andrea Lambrecht
Love their burgers!! So good and it's amazing to see the giant pile of bacon mmm
Matthew Gilkey
Red Mill is a Seattle Institution for burgers. Great food and service. They offer Tillamook cheddar. Just be aware it's cash only.
Chris Topher
Great burgers. Always cooked perfectly and the red mill sauce is great. Their onion rings are the best. Bring cash.
Justin Franklin
Red Mill is by far one of the best burgers you will get in Seattle. Great service too, amazing value.
Diana G
Best BEST burgers and onion rings in Washington. Hands down. If you haven't been you have to try it.
Ryan F
The burger was really great and so were the fries. Small line out the door which was expected. Staff were very friendly.
Natalie Williams
I heard people rant and rave over Red Mill for years! I have to say I agree with them all. The burgers are amazing and fries were good as well! A must try!
Will Iverson
Famous Seattle institution. Great burgers, shakes. Huge pile of seasoned bacon FTW. Blow your diet to pieces with a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a shake.
Lucas Duffey
Cash only. Verde burger: peppers are soft and the sauce defines the burger. Onion rings are for people who like a little onion in their unremarkable batter.
james strickland
Great burgers, too bad you can't eat them inside😕
Chandan Rastogi
Excellent burger. Expect an in n out like experience. Would definitely go back
