Reviews of Ray's Cafe
Matt Perrone
Rays Cafe, the upstairs part to Ray's, is the less costly and less formal restaurant of the two (compared to Ray's Boathouse downstairs). Parking here is always tough so get there ahead of time. There's usually a wait as well, especially on nice days because they have tons of seating on the outside balcony. The views here are killer, which is one of the best things about this restaurant. The staff here are incredibly friendly and pretty quick getting around with orders and drinks/food. Although the food is a bit on the more expensive side, the quality and taste is amazing, and the portion sizes are pretty good as well. Would highly recommend coming here for a celebration or date night, but trying to put your name in or reservation earlier on so you're not waiting a ton.

Nice atmosphere, super cool to watch boats and kayaks at sunset. There are 2 options: casual or more formal so check out the menus. Food was fine, expected more given the prices. Staff was helpful, brought out blankets when it got windy.

Had a wonderful experience there to celebrate father's day. Service in excellent, waiters are well trained and respectful. Food are served warm at same time and delicious. Price is... very expensive hence 4 stars.

Outside seating, amazing waterfront views. Food is amazing. Halibut and salmon fresh and delicious. Great kids options. Definitely a place to visit after a day at Golden gardens beach.

Wonderful experience! The food was delicious, you have a beautiful view of the ocean which is really special during the sunset. The staff there is truly marvelous, especially John, the most polite and nicest server. This is my favorite place in Seattle, not only because of the food, but because of the people.

Stayed for several hours for too many apps, dishes, cocktails, and bottles of wine. It was just too easy to keep indulging and having a great time here especially with that view! Great service, warm blankets and heat lamps for outdoor seating, and great drinks.

Wonderful first experience - creative food and drink menus, absolutely delicious food, pleasant, efficient service, amazing views of Shilsole Bay and the Olympic Range, and afterward the sea lion clown show outside! Someone at Ray's loves Spain (as do we) - we appreciated the couple of Spanish-influenced menu and wine items. Ray's is a special treat.

Wait was not as bad as expected, Rays was bustling.
We had the rockfish sandwich with Caesar, fish and chips, butter noodles (for a kiddo), and poke bowl. Everything was good, fried foods weren’t overly greasy, and fish was fresh.

Really good seafood here at Ray's Boathouse & Cafe. The clam chowder was the best I've ever had and the sable fish was flaky, tender, and flavorful.
Oh, by the way, the sunsets are fabulous!

From the greeting at the door, to the drink before dinner in the Cafe (Sage AgainstThe Machine, ordered 2! <3), to our most excellent server John, to the AMAZING butter!!! Seriously, I Seriously asked to box up our butter to go...and later found out from John, I'm not the only one who has done this. LOL! So I'm not crazy, well maybe a little ;) And then, there was the ribeye steak...dude, I had to stop and take a moment...then, oh yes, then, there was the honey lavender creme brulee...with a Real honeycomb, dusted with lavender on top. I mean, come on! I have to say I left as a Very satisfied customer!
